Former Walmart executive Marc Lore's startup, Wonder, has acquired the food-delivery service Grubhub from Just Eat Takeaway.com for $650 million, including debt. The deal includes $150 million in cash and the assumption of $500 million in debt. Wonder aims to expand its revenue and create a mealtime "super app" by integrating Grubhub's delivery drivers and technology. Grubhub, founded in 2004, faced competition from newer players like DoorDash and Uber Eats before being acquired by Just Eat in 2021. [Extracted from the article]
