The article offers information on transcatheter valve replacement therapy which is used for patients suffering from aortic stenosis. This surgery is reportedly beneficial for older patients who have high risks during surgery and is not offered to patients whose life expectancy is below one year. Chest radiography and electrocardiography are done before the therapy which helps to understand the severity of aortic stenosis. Stent malpositioning and coronary obstruction are its possible complications.
