In this paper, a novel anti-smudge coating cured by natural sunlight exposure or 35 s of UV irradiation was prepared. The coating shows highly transparency and it can be used in various substrates, including heat-sensitive materials. Besides, this coating repels against water, ink, cooking oil, crude oil, artificial fingerprint liquid, and protects substrates against strong acid, strong base, salt solution and organic solvent, indicative of striking self-cleaning and protective properties. And this coating can be used to fabricate anti-smudge products in various colors without compromising its anti-smudge properties. First, modified halloysite-Fe3O4nanotubes (mHNT-Fe3O4) were synthesized. Second, mHNT-Fe3O4-Ag was synthesized by reduction process. Third, mHNT-Fe3O4-Ag was covalently incorporated into the polyurea (PUA) matrix and the mHNT-Fe3O4-Ag/PUA nanocomposites were prepared. The mHNT-Fe3O4-Ag was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, UV-vis absorption spectra, transmission electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and dynamic mechanical analysis. The experimental results shown that thermal stability, tensile strength, and storage modulus of nanocomposites were improved with the increasing of the content of mHNT-Fe3O4-Ag. A novel waterborne polyurethane-silanized CoFe2O-acrylate magnetic pressure-sensitive adhesive was prepared. With the increase of PU content, gel content, swelling capability, and SAFT increased, and fracture energy increased first, then decreased. The T-peeling strength increased from 8.93 to 19.07 N · m−1, tack force increased from No.3 to No.10, while shear resistance increased from 35 to 72 h, and then they decreased. Two empirical models: WA = 90.46 + 125.04[PU]-319.96[PU]2and T = 9.09 + 96.07[PU]-235.11[PU]2, were obtained. With the increase of CoFe2O4content, the saturation magnetization increased from 5.5 to 14.2 emu · g−1, and remanence increased from 1.7 to 3.7 emu · g−1, while coercivity decreased from 875 to 763 Oe. Castor oil-based waterborne polyurethane/silver-halloysite (WPU/Ag-HNT) antibacterial nanocomposites were prepared by incorporating silver-halloysite composite (Ag-HNT) into WPU via in situ polymerization. Ag-HNT was successfully synthesized by modification of halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) with 3-(2-Aminoethylamino) propyldimethoxymethylsilane (AEAPTMS) and chitosan, and then mixed with silver nitrate for combining silver ions, finally the silver nanoparticles were loaded on the surface of HNTs by reducing silver ions with NaBH 4 . The morphology, thermal properties and mechanical properties of WPU/Ag-HNT nanocomposites films were characterized by SEM, TGA, DMA, DSC and tensile testing. The results were shown that the thermal and mechanical properties of WPU/Ag-HNT nanocomposites were improved. The antibacterial test indicated that the nanocomposites exhibited excellent antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli . A novel silanized CoFe 2 O 4 /fluorinated waterborne polyurethane (SC/FWPU) pressure sensitive adhesive was synthesized and characterized by atomic force microscopy (AFM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) and contact angle tester. The adhesive properties were measured in a test machine. Experimental results showed that the hydrophobicity, thermal stability, dynamic mechanical properties, as well as adhesive properties of SC/FWPU were improved with the incorporation of SC into FWPU. The dynamic hydrophobicity can be well described by the wetting kinetic model. The spreading-penetration parameter increased with an increase in SC content. The higher the spreading-penetration parameter is, the faster the contact angle reaches equilibrium, and the faster the SC/FWPU pressure sensitive adhesive penetrates and spreads. Waterborne polyurethane/halloysite nanotubes nanocomposites were prepared by modified halloysite nanotubes (HTs) with chitosan (CS). Modified HTs were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and thermogravimetry, which verified that CS was successfully assembled onto the HTs surface. The chitosan-modified halloysite nanotubes (CHTs) were uniformly dispersed in WPU matrix through the reaction with polyurethane prepolymer, and acted as chain cross-linker as well as reinforcing filler, which increased the cross-linking density of nanocomposites. The experimental results showed that the strong interfacial interaction and hydrogen bonding interaction between CHTs and WPU improved the degree of micro-phase separation, thermal properties, mechanical properties and surface properties of nanocomposites. Abstract: The inorganic/organic waterborne polyurethane (WPU) hybrid dispersions modified by organic montmorillonite (OMMT) and end-capped by 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA) were prepared. A series of novel organic montmorillonite/fluorinated waterborne polyurethane (OMMT/FWPU) nanocomposite emulsions with core–shell particle structure were synthesized via seed emulsion polymerization with 2,2,3,4,4,4-hexafluorobutyl methacrylate (HFBMA) by using OMMT/WPU hybrid dispersions as seed emulsions and macromonomers. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Wide-angle X-ray diffraction (WXRD), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and gel permeation chromatography (GPC) were utilized to analysis the structural properties of OMMT/FWPU nanocomposite. And the influences of OMMT and HFBMA contents on the thermal stability, dynamic mechanical properties and surface properties of OMMT/FWPU nanocomposite films were examined by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), tensile test machine and static contact angle tester, respectively. The results showed that the OMMT/FWPU nanocomposites exhibited an improved thermal stability, dynamic mechanical properties and surface properties when the content of OMMT was 2wt% and HFBMA was 15wt%. The waterborne polyurethane (WPU) modified by epoxidized soybean oil (ESO) and styrene (St) (WPU-ESO-St) was synthesized by free-radical emulsion polymerization using styrene (St) as a monomer, and azodiisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as initiator. The research on the mechanical properties of the film showed that with the increasing of the [NCO]/[OH] ratio, the contents of ESO, DAAM and the St, the tensile strength increased, and elongation at break decreased. The surface morphology of the film was characterized by atomic force microscopy (AFM). The aqueous polyurethane hybrid dispersion modified by the epoxy resin were synthesized using 1,4-butanediol ( BDO ) and dimethylolpropionic(DMPA) as chain extenders. A kind of automobile interior decoration adhesive was made by the modified hybrid dispersions. Effects of the content and the kinds of epoxide resin on the properties of dispersions and dispersion-cast films such as appearance, pot life, viscosity, particle size, molecular mass, hardness, swelling in water, contact angle, strength of stress, elongation at break, and other mechanical properties were studied. At the same time the effect of the E20 content on the peel strength of the adhesive for several automobile interior decoration substrates such as rubber/wood, poly(vinyl chloride)/wood; leather/wood, sponge/wood was investigated. The experimental results show that when the epoxy resin E20 content was 8%, the modified polyurethane hybrid dispersions possess better properties and the adhesive made by the modified dispersions posses better adhesion for automobile interior decoration substrates. To protect against the harmful effects of electromagnetic waves, the development of thin, lightweight, breathable electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials with high electromagnetic shielding efficiency (SE) is crucial for flexible and wearable electronic devices. In this paper, a breathable, highly conductive, and high EMI shielding performance magnetic MXene/Fe 3 O 4 /PEDOT:PSS (MFPP) coated carbon cloth (MFPP/CC) composite is prepared by a facile manufacturing strategy. MXene/Fe 3 O 4 facilitates the conductivity of the composite coatings and increases the ferromagnetic loss mechanism. The introduction of PEDOT:PSS not only improves the stability of MXene but also enhances the bonding strength between MXene/Fe 3 O 4 and CC. When the mass ratio between MXene, Fe 3 O 4 , and PEDOT:PSS is 25:10:5, the resulting MFPP/CC composite has an excellent conductivity of 7281.3 S/m at a rather low thickness of 0.465 mm, realizing an outstanding EMI shielding performance of 86.19 dB with a very high SE/t value (1853.6 dB/cm). Furthermore, the MFPP/CC composite exhibits paramagnetic properties, excellent air permeability, and a high retention rate (>87 %) of EMI shielding performance against continuous physical and chemical damage. In this paper, first, UV‐curable vinyl‐terminated hyperbranched polyester (VTDP) is synthetized via a two‐step reaction. Then, mono‐sulfhydryl terminated polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS‐SH) is prepared via esterification reaction. Finally, cotton fabrics are immersed in mixtures of PDMS‐SH, double‐sulfhydryl terminated polydimethylsiloxane (HS‐PDMS‐SH), VTDP and hydrophobic fumed silica (HFS), and cross‐linking polydimethylsiloxane with hydrophobic fumed silica (HCPDMS@HFS) fabrics are prepared by 35 s of UV irradiation. When the content of HFS is 2.0 wt%, the superhydrophobic HCPDMS@HFS fabrics with high water contact angle (158.5) as well as low sliding angle (6.8) are obtained. At the same time, HCPDMS@HFS fabrics can withstand sandpaper abrasion for 30 cycles and tape‐peeling repetition for 100 times. Improving the compatibility of liquid metal (LM) in polymers to develop self-healing LM-based flexible films with electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding and Joule heating capability remains a considerable challenge. In this work, LM nanoparticles encapsulated by MXene are introduced into waterborne polyurethane (WPU) matrix to construct LM@MXene/WPU (LMW) films by the electrostatic attraction interaction and the casting method. MXene can form strong interactions with both LM and WPU to enhance the dispersion stability of LM, thus avoiding phase separation. The ultrathin LMW films exhibit a high electrical conductivity of 374 S/cm, resulting in an extremely high SE/t value (77640 dB/cm). Moreover, the LMW composite films with outstanding Joule heat capability can raise their surface temperature to above 135 ℃ under a constant voltage of 5 V within 10 s, which can activate the hydrogen bonds between LM@MXene and WPU chain to achieve a gratifying self-healing performance. In addition, the excellent EMI shielding stability of the LMW films is verified, providing a guarantee for their practical application. Solid-liquid phase change materials (PCMs) have broad potential but suffer from leakage problems and unreasonable thermal conductivity, resulting in low utilization efficiency. In this study, using Guar Gum (GG) as large frame and graphene oxide (GO) or SiO 2 aerogel microchip as small frame, thermal conductivity strengthening PCMs (GG-C-PEG) and thermal conductivity weakening PCMs (GG-I-PEG) were prepared after loading polyethylene glycol (PEG). In-depth characterizations turned out that the phase change enthalpy retention was close to 100% of PEG. In particular, the composites achieved 0.94 W/(m·K) of enhanced thermal conductivity and exhibited a reduced thermal conductivity of 0.11 W/(m·K). Simultaneously, the mass of the PCMs remained above 94.08% when heated at 80 °C for 45 min and the loss of melting enthalpy was less than 6.11% after 100 cycles, indicating outstanding stability in shape and performance during the heating–cooling cycles. To further utilize of solar energy, GG-C-PEG exhibited great photothermal conversion efficiency reaching 83.67%. Moreover, inspired by Tai Chi culture, a novel device that could control the heat flow rate from minimum to maximum by utilizing different thermal conductivity properties of the two types of PCMs was designed, taking composite PCMs further into practical scenarios. Polyurethane/modified chitosan-Fe3O4 (PU/mCS-Fe3O4) nanocomposites were prepared by incorporating chitosan-Fe3O4 (CS-Fe3O4) into PU through chemical grafting using isophorone diisocyante (IPDI). The isocyanate group of IPDI was introduced on the surface of CS-Fe3O4 nanocomposites. The chemical functionalities of the CS-Fe3O4 and mCS-Fe3O4 were verified by Fourier-transform infrared and X-ray diffraction. The structure and properties were confirmed by scanning electron microscope, vibrating sample magnetometer, thermogravimetric analysis, atomic force microscope, and tensile testing. The experimental results indicate that thermal stability, tensile strength, and storage modulus of nanocomposites were improved with the increasing content of mCS-Fe3O4. In this paper, PVA/PAA‐PAM‐IS/GC composite hydrogels are prepared using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), poly acrylic acid (PAA), poly acrylamide (PAM), and iron sulfate hydrate (IS) glycerol (GC). The crosslinking network is formed by the coordination of carboxyl groups with ions, which forms PVA with semi‐interpenetrating network. The mechanical properties and self‐healing properties of PVA/PAA‐PAM‐IS/GC composite hydrogels are excellent. The stress, strain and self‐healing efficiency of PVA/PAA‐PAM‐IS/GC composite hydrogels can reach 840 kPa, 784%, and above 95%, respectively. The antifreeze and water retention properties of PVA/PAA‐PAM‐IS/GC composite hydrogels are improved by glycerol. PVA/PAA‐PAM‐IS/GC composite hydrogels remains flexible at low temperatures and moist for a long time at room temperature. The conductivity of the hydrogel increases with the increase of temperature because the interactions between glycerol, water molecules and ammonium ions are affected by the temperature, the multifunctional conductive hydrogel can be used in strain sensing and temperature sensing. In this paper, a kind of fluorescent anti-counter feiting acrylate pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) label was prepared using 7-hydroxycoumarin and acrylate monomer. First,7-hydroxycoumarin was reacted with 3-bromopropylene and coumarin derivatives were prepared. And thio-terminated intermediate-mercaptan A was obtained by the reaction of the mercaptan group of 2,2ʹ-(Ethylenedioxy) diethanethiol with the double bond. Then, mercaptan A was reacted with acrylate and a novel fluorescent anti-counterfeiting acrylate PSA was prepared. Finally, a novel fluorescent anti-counterfeiting acrylate PSA label was prepared by coating the adhesive on the PET label. The experimental results showed that with the increasing of mercaptan A content, the tensile strength, shear resistance, thermal stability property and fluorescence of mercaptan A-acrylate PSA were improved. When the content of mercaptan A was 5 wt %, the tack,180° peel strength and shear resistance of mercaptan A-acrylate PSA were No.5 ball, 0.54 KN/m and 87 h, respectively. The skin, the primary barrier of the body, is inevitably broken. However, the development of materials that facilitate wound healing with sustained antimicrobial, hemostatic, and biocompatible properties remains a formidable challenge. In this article, we prepared a photopolymerizable composite hydrogel consisting of a hydrogel matrix, a hemostatic/antibacterial agent, and a photothermal therapy agent. The photopolymerizable hydrogel matrix was prepared by grafting the photoinitiator and polymerizable active monomer onto the chitosan chain segment, which exhibits excellent biocompatibility. Furthermore, linalool is adsorbed on the surface of halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) to form a hemostatic and antibacterial. Meanwhile, dopamine is employed as a coating material for hollow glass microsphere (HGM), which enables them to function as photothermal therapy agents. Upon exposure to near-infrared radiation, the PHA hydrogel releases linalool molecules from the surface of the HNTs, which diffuse into the hydrogel matrix, resulting in a sustained antimicrobial effect. At the same time, rapid curing of the photopolymerizable hydrogel under UV light forms a physical barrier that synergistically enhances the hemostatic properties of the HNTs. Excessive CO2 emission has caused severe greenhouse problems. CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR) is considered to be a promising strategy to effectively reduce CO2 emission, which not only captures CO2 in large quantity, but also produces high value-added chemicals. Herein, CO2RR on the CuPc/graphene single-atomic catalyst has been studied via density functional theory (DFT) calculations. It shows that CO2 is inclined to convert to CH3OH, followed by HCOOH and CH4. The most favored pathway to produce CH3OH is *CO2 → *COOH → *CO → *CHO → *OCH2 → *OCH3 → *OHCH3, for which the potential-limiting step is *CO2 → *COOH (endothermic by 1.41 eV). Both density of states and differential charge further indicate the high reactivity of single atomic Cu, and uncover the effect of electrostatic interaction on the hydrogenation pathway. Recently, thin, lightweight, wide and strong microwave absorption performance are the main targets for researchers to design high-performance absorbers. A new two-dimension MXene material has attracted significant attention because of its unique hierarchical structure, large specific surface area and special metallic features. However, its improperly high electrical conductivity of MXene causes the bad microwave absorption performance. To meet the needs of practical application, the sandwich-like NiFe 2 O 4 @SiO 2 @MXene nanocomposites were fabricated via multilayered MXene and core-shell NiFe 2 O 4 @SiO 2 nanoparticles. By the synergistic effects from the SiO 2 (transparent medium) improving impedance matching and the two-dimensional laminated MXene increasing conductive loss, the microwave absorption performance of NiFe 2 O 4 @SiO 2 @MXene can be effectively regulated and optimized. As a result, the minimum reflection loss of NiFe 2 O 4 @SiO 2 @MXene reaches −52.8 dB at 11.6 GHz with a thickness of 2 mm, and the maximum effective absorption bandwidth is 7.2 GHz (10.8–18 GHz) covering the whole Ku-band with only a 1.5 mm thickness. It has proved that microcosmic sandwich-like structure design is an efficient approach to achieving excellent microwave absorption performance. The multiple components and unique structure generate heterogeneous interfaces, multiple reflections, polarization features and well-matched impedance. This work provides an insight for rationally constructing hybrid materials with a complex structure in the application of microwave absorption field. The incorporation of polymers into MXene-based functional materials has been proven to be an effective strategy for improving their flexibility and mechanical properties. However, insulating polymers inevitably sacrifice the conductivity of MXene, resulting in a deterioration of electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding performance. In this work, inspired by Janus structure, an asymmetric flexible film composed of the carboxylated styrene-butadiene rubber (XSBR) with magnetic boron nitride nanosheets (mBNNS) layer and the MXene layer is developed through a casting plus spraying approach. The resulting mBNNS/XSBR@MXene (BXM) Janus film demonstrates the characteristic of "one side insulation, one side conductivity", with the conductivity of 2746 S cm−1 on the MXene side and surface resistivity of 4.9 × 1013 Ω on the mBNNS/XSBR side. Profit from the designed Janus architecture, the EMI shielding effectiveness and in-plane thermal conductivity of the BXM Janus film reach 74.55 dB and 8.45 W m−1 K−1 when the total mass fraction of mBNNS and MXene is 50 wt%, which is 148 % and 43.46 % higher than that of the BXM blend film without Janus structure. Moreover, the BXM Janus film exhibits low applied voltage (∼3.0 V) driven Joule heating performance with a response time of less than 10 s, a saturation temperature of 133.7 °C, and long-term steady reliability. Meanwhile, the BXM Janus film possesses good mechanical properties and excellent EMI shielding stability. Therefore, this work provides an effective strategy to fabricate flexible MXene-based multifunctional film for EMI shielding, heat dissipation, and thermal management applications. Tough, self-adhesive and conductive hydrogels have recently attracted considerable interest due to their promising applications in electronic skins, wearable devices and flexible sensors. In this work, we designed a mussel-inspired nanocomposite hydrogel derived from water-soluble tannic acid/polyaniline coated cellulose nanocrystals (TA/PANI@CNCs) and various functional acrylic monomers. The incorporated TA/PANI@CNCs not only endowed the nanocomposite hydrogels with enhanced electrical conductive network and mechanical performance, but also played an important role in repeatable and durable adhesiveness to human skin without additional fixation. By taking the advantage of double networks based on various supramolecular interactions and dynamic borate ester bonds, the hydrogels exhibited a dramatic breaking strain of 974%, fracture stress of 759 kPa and rapid self-healing ability at room temperature without external stimuli. In addition, the as-prepared nanocomposite hydrogels had great strain sensitivity and excellent electrical conductivity, which can be employed as flexible strain sensors for tracking human body motion with a broad range of strain or directly assembled on other materials surfaces as electrical circuits. Compared with previous conductive hydrogels, this work will provide a novel pathway to fabricate nanocomposite hydrogels with self-healing, self-adhesive, strain sensitive and robust mechanical properties for potential applications in wearable strain sensors, flexible electrical interconnection and human motion monitoring. The combination of microwave absorption performance and self-healing function is of great practical significance. In this paper, first, ZnO@MWCNTs nanoparticle is prepared by loading Zinc oxide (ZnO) on the surface of the multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) as microwave absorbers. Then, the thermoreversible self-healing DA-PDMS is prepared by using polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) as raw material based on Diels-Alder (DA) reaction. Finally, a kind of novel multifunctional ZnO@MWCNTs/DA-PDMS nanocomposite with self-healing and microwave absorption properties is synthesized with the addition of ZnO@MWCNTs nanoparticle. When the cracked ZnO@MWCNTs/DA-PDMS nanocomposite is maintained at 120 °C for 10 min, it can recover more than 90% of the original mechanical strength. Even after three healing cycles, the ZnO@MWCNTs/DA-PDMS nanocomposite also displays excellent healing efficiency (about 90%). On the other hand, when the content of ZnO@MWCNTs nanoparticle is 10 wt%, ZnO@MWCNTs/DA-PDMS nanocomposite exhibits an effective absorption bandwidth from 8.2 to 12.4 GHz (full X-band) at a thickness of 3 mm and the minimum reflection loss of −20.1 dB. Even after the 3rd healing cycle, the minimum reflection loss of the healed samples can still maintain −20.0 dB at a thickness of 3 mm. In this work, Al 2 O 3 @PPy@rGO composites were successfully synthesized by a "coating-coating" route. The structure of Al 2 O 3 @PPy@rGO composites was characterized by XRD, Raman and SEM. The coaxial wire method was used to measure the electromagnetic properties of Al 2 O 3 @PPy@rGO composites, which was carried on the vector network analyzer (VNA, 3672A/B/C-S) over the 2–18 GHz frequency range. Compared with Al 2 O 3 (about 50 nm), the particle size of Al 2 O 3 @PPy composites (about 70 nm) enhanced, which verified the alumina was coated by PPy. In addition, the Al 2 O 3 @PPy composites are tightly attached by the rGO with a diameter of about 30 nm Al 2 O 3 @PPy@rGO composites have excellent thermal stability, and they remain 53 wt% when the temperature is up to 800 °C. When the thickness of Al 2 O 3 @PPy@rGO composites is 3.0 mm, they reach the maximum reflection loss of −39.7 dB at 13.2 GHz with 15 wt% Al 2 O 3 @PPy@rGO-wax. And the broad effective microwave absorption bandwidth of Al 2 O 3 @PPy@rGO composites is 5.5 GHz in 10.5–16.0 GHz. The introduction of reversible disulfide bonding and the presence of abundant hydrogen bonding give PUHN excellent self-healing properties, which can reach 91.2 % self-healing efficiency after 3 h in an oven at 80℃. Polyurethane acrylate (PUA)-supported rGO/TiO2 electrical conductive and antibacterial nanocomposites were synthesized via in-situ polymerization. The well-dispersed rGO/TiO2 can serve as photoinitiator and give PUA material antibacterial property at the same time. The excellent UV-curing and antibacterial activity could be explained that the synergistic effect of rGO and TiO2, which could promote the effective electron/hole separation and thus generate various reactive species. Abstract Special materials for electromagnetic absorber (EMA) and stealth camouflage techniques are desired due to their widespread applications in the military field. In this paper, BaTiO 3 /reduced graphene oxide (RGO) composites via hydrothermal process were prepared. BaTiO 3 nanotube has unique features: single crystalline, high aspect ratio and uniform distribution on RGO nanosheet. Compared with pure BaTiO 3 nanowire, BaTiO 3 /RGO composites exhibited good absorption properties. The maximum reflection loss (RL) of BaTiO3/reduced graphene oxide (RGO) composites is about of −44.9 dB, and they exhibited an effective electromagnetic absorption bandwidth of 5.4 GHz with the thickness of 2.5 mm BaTiO 3 /RGO composites could be used as promising materials for EMA and broad absorption properties. Hydrogels are important materials for mechanical sensors of artificial intelligence, and their good electrical conductivity and mechanical properties have broad application space in the field of multifunctional materials. However, it is still a challenge to prepare hydrogels with excellent conductivity and sensing, anti-freezing and water retention, resilience and fatigue resistance. Herein, chitosan/poly(acrylic acid-acrylamide‑sodium p-styrenesulfonate)/glycerol/samarium hydrate (C/P/G/S) double-network (DN) hydrogels were prepared by Interpenetrating Polymer Networks (IPNs) of chitosan (CS) with acrylic acid (AA), acrylamide (AM), sodium p-styrenesulfonate (SSS), glycerol (GL) and samarium hydrate (SH) under ultraviolet (UV) light. The C/P/G/S DN hydrogels have satisfactory mechanical properties, conductivity, mechanical strain sensing performances, water retention and frost resistance capacities. Specially, the compressive stress of hydrogels at 80% compressive strain is up to 1.7 MPa. It also shows preeminent fatigue resistance and resilience in continuous cyclic stretching and cyclic compression (5 and 100 times). The conductivity of the hydrogels can reach 1.9 S/m when the SH is 1.8 g. Meanwhile, mechanical strain sensing tests of the hydrogels at room temperature and low temperature were also performed simultaneously. The hydrogels have stable mechanical strain sensing properties and good electrical conductivity even at −20 °C. More importantly, when C/P/G/S DN hydrogels were placed at room temperature and ventilated for 30 days, the water loss rate of hydrogels was only 13.9%. Aldol condensation reaction is considered as a typical process to form C–C single bonds and result in long-length chain, however, the selectivity of aldol reaction is too complicated to understand. Among the kinetic steps of typical catalytic reactions, diffusion affects the behavior of both reactants and products, subsequently plays a decisive role in the selectivity of reaction path. Herein, molecular dynamics simulation was used to study the adsorption and diffusion behavior of the key components (i.e. , reactants, intermediates, aldehydes and α,β-unsaturated ketones product) in the aldol condensation reaction of benzaldehyde with 2-butanone catalyzed by hierarchical ZSM-5 zeolite at 373 K. The results show that as small products, 2-hydroxy-1-butene, 3-hydroxy-2-butene will tend to form via 2-butanone in the micropores; while as intermediates, 2-hydroxy-1-butene, 3-hydroxy-2-butene will continue to react with benzaldehyde to form large products 1-phenyl-pentan-1-ol-3-one, 4-phenyl-3-methyl-butan-4-ol-one, 1-phenyl-1-pentan-3-one and 3-methyl-4-phenyl-3-butan-2-one in the mesopores. Additionally, the presence of water will slow down the diffusion of reactants, which might be the main reason why aldol condensation reaction is commonly inhibited with the presence of water. This work can not only provide a basis understanding for mechanism of aldol condensation reaction from the perspective of diffusion, but also guide the design of hierarchical zeolite catalysts. The development of coatings with flame retardancy and superhydrophobicity is of great importance in practical application. Herein, a fluorine-free superhydrophobic and halogen-free flame retardant coating was constructed via simple dip-coating and efficient ultraviolet (UV) curing methods, using heavy cross-linking polydimethylsiloxane networks (HCPDMS) as low-surface-energy materials and hierarchical-structured layered double hydroxide-ammonium polyphosphate (LDH-APP) as organic-inorganic composite flame retardants. Owing to the such combination of hierarchical structure and low surface energy, these prepared coatings show striking repellency to various liquids, great self-cleaning and antifouling ability. Besides, they can resist the abrasion test by sandpaper for 30 cycles, the tape-peeling test for 200 cycles, and repeatedly kneading test. Meanwhile, these coatings offer good thermal stability and flame retardant, exhibiting an enhanced limiting oxygen index (LOI) from 18.0 % to 29.0 %. Moreover, a high oil/water separation efficiency of these coatings is over 95 % even after 16 separation cycles. With the development of electric vehicles, the limited driving range has become a bottleneck to restrict the development of electric vehicles. Lightweight is one of the effective methods to increase the driving range. In this study, the ene-thiol-acrylate (ETA) photosensitive resins are used for top-down 3D printing to fabricate lightweight battery compartment of electric vehicles. Results show that the battery compartment of 3D printing possesses desirable mechanical and thermal properties, such as heat deflection temperature (HDT) reach to 219 °C under 1.82 MPa, excellent flame retardation property (limit oxygen index (LOI) is 34% without any inorganic flame retardants) and outstanding heat dissipation performance. Moreover, the introduction of a small quantity of secondary mercaptan can enhance appreciably mechanical performances and thermal properties of the photosensitive resins, at the same time, the problem of storage stability for ETA resins has been solved. To expand the application range of electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials, it has become an urgent issue to achieve the excellent shielding effectiveness (SE) in extreme environment. In this paper, an ultralight, compressible and superhydrophobic foam composed of melamine foam (MF), Ti 3 C 2 T x MXene and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) was constructed via the facile dipping and vacuum-assisted impregnation method. The MF as a skeleton can provide coated substrate for MXene sheets to realize the 3D conductive network. Meanwhile, the PDMS layer of MF/MXene/PDMS (MFMP) foam can enhance the stability and durability of its structure and capability. The obtained MFMP foam possesses the very low reduction (less than 10%) of compressive stress at a high strain of 60% after 200th compression cycles. More importantly, the MFMP foam also shows an ultrahigh absolute SE of 29088 dB cm2 g−1 due to its excellent SE of 44.66 dB and ultralow density of 9.22 mg cm−3. The retention rate of SE can be maintained over 85% under the different treatment of serve environment. This strategy offers a promising idea to construct the ultralight porous materials for highly efficient EMI shielding applications in damping and high humidity environment. Microcapsules loading with healing agents are constantly used in engineered self-healing materials. But the synthesis of epoxy resin composites with excellent self-healing effect remains a major challenge. In this paper, 3-(Trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate (KH570) was used to modify the nano silica (KHSI) for increasing lipophilicity. Then by using water-in-oil method, the inverse Pickering emulsion was stabilized by KHSI, and the core-shell double microcapsules (CS-DMics) loaded with different healing agents were formed via 1,1-Bis(acryloyloxymethyl)ethyl isocyanate (BEI). SEM and particle size statistical show that the size range of CS-DMics is 10–149.25 μm. Ultimately, the self-healing epoxy resin compound (Sh-ERC) was acquired by combining CS-DMics with epoxy resin substrate materials. The thermal properties, mechanical properties, self-healing properties and electrical conductivity were tested. It is found that Sh-ERC has perfect self-healing performance when the cracks occur and the microcapsules release healing agent for repairing. The self-healing effect of Sh-ERC is better with more CS-DMics content, and the self-healing efficiency is up to 86.5% when the content of CS-DMics is 40%. Polymer matrix composite with a physical barrier network can efficiently inhibit corrosion on carbon steel. In this paper, 3-(2-Aminoethylamino) propyldimethoxymethylsilane modified graphene oxide (A-GO) and glass fiber (GF) were incorporated into Epoxy (EP) matrix, and EP/GF/A-GO composite coating with dual physical barrier network was prepared. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) showed that the impedance modulus of EP/GF/A-GO composite coating was highest among the different coatings, indicting EP/GF/A-GO composite coating with dual physical barrier network could significantly enhance the corrosion protection properties. Even after 45 days of immersion, the value of impedance modulus of the EP/GF/A-GO composite coating was above 3.9 × 107 Ω cm2. Alkylation reaction of benzene and methanol produces desirable product p-xylene, thus understanding the structure-performance relationship in alkylation reaction is significant. Herein, the diffusion behavior of representative components (i.e. benzene, methanol, olefin and alkylbenzene) involved in the alkylation reaction catalyzed by Al-substituting ZSM-5 (H-ZSM-5) zeolite at 673 K was studied based on molecular dynamics simulations. As a result, the self-diffusion coefficients (D s) of methanol and benzene at 673 K in H-ZSM-5 zeolite are 2.97 × 10−8 and 6.50 × 10−12 m2 s−1, respectively; while in CH 3 -ZSM-5 zeolite, the presence of CH 3 O- intermediates does favor to the diffusion of benzene and alkylbenzene, especially p-xylene. Furthermore, due to the distinguished dynamic diameters compared with pore sizes, the reaction species exhibit anisotropic diffusion along x-, y- and z- direction of zeolite channel. A novel room temperature self-healing carbonyl iron powder/ polydopamine@ multi-walled carbon nanotubes (CIP/PDA@MWCNTs) composites as microwave absorber covering the whole X frequency band were prepared in this study. In order to improve the impedance matching and dispersion of CIP in composites, it was encapsulated by PDA to form a core-shell structure. Meanwhile, the polydopamine modified carbonyl iron powder (CIP/PDA) was mixed with MWCNTs to enhance the performance of microwave absorption, so that the the composites possessed dielectric and magnetic losses. Moreover, the composites have self-healing property. When the content of CIP/PDA@MWCNTs is 20 wt%, the minimum reflection loss of the self-healing composites is −30.69 dB, and the bandwidth of RL less than -10 dB can reach up to 9.44 GHz, covering the entire X. The experimental results showed that the mechanical strength and the electrical resistivity of composites were 6.6 MPa and 108 Ω·m, respectively. Magnetic nanocomposite material has undergone significant development in the past few years. However, it is inevitable to initiate mechanical damage during service. Herein, we developed a self-healing magnetic nanocomposite material composed of Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticle and disulfide-based epoxy resin with N , N -dimethylbenzylamine (BDMA) as catalyst. Owing to the catalytic effect of BDMA, the polymer network of the material is successfully formed via thiol-epoxy click reaction of pentaerythritol glycidyl ether (PTEGE) and polydisulfide dithiol (PSDT). More strikingly, BDMA could also catalyze the metathesis reaction of aliphatic disulfide bond and the magnetic nanocomposite material shows more than 60% self-healing efficiency at room temperature for 24 h. The self-healing performance of the magnetic nanocomposite material is investigated and the possible mechanism of disulfide metathesis catalyzed by BDMA is proposed. Besides, with the incorporation of 3 wt% Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticle, the mechanical strength and saturation magnetic induction of the magnetic nanocomposite material are up to 0.31 MPa and 0.51 emu/g, respectively. These results demonstrate that the as-prepared magnetic nanocomposite material has excellent comprehensive performance and can be used for the next generation magnetic material. • A novel water-borne non-fluorinated liquid-repellent surface system is developed. • Dewetting behavior of various liquids on this coating surface has been investigated. • The coating surface exhibits chemical shielding ability and self-healing ability. • The coating surface can be used for anti-fingerprint and anti-graffiti purposes. • The coating surface shows advantages over commercial liquid-repellent surfaces. Existing approaches for the preparation of anti-smudge surfaces are prominently confined to the use of fluorinated materials and highly toxic organic solvents. Smooth water-borne non-fluorinated anti-smudge surfaces are highly desirable for their high safety, low cost and environmental friendliness, and they could also address the challenges plagued by the deficiencies in long-term stability, durability, and scalability existing in present coating systems. Herein, we, for the first time, develop a novel smooth non-fluorinated anti-smudge system by crosslinking the hydrophilic groups in two water-borne components. The resultant surfaces are highly transparent, and they show striking anti-smudge performance toward various liquids, including water, hexadecane, diiodomethane, decane, ethanol, etc. Besides, these surfaces demonstrate remarkable chemical shielding ability against acid solution and alkali solution and thus protect substrates against exposure to harsh chemical environments. Also, they exhibit self-healing ability against chemical and physical damages. Compared with commercial fluorinated amphiphobic surface and superhydrophobic surface, these non-fluorinated surfaces show incomparable advantages in anti-smudge performance, pump oil and crude oil droplets could slide off the surface without leaving any traces. Furthermore, these surfaces could be applied for anti-graffiti and anti-fingerprint purposes due to their outstanding anti-smudge performance toward water-borne and oil-borne paints, ink, and artificial fingerprint liquid. More strikingly, they could maintain anti-smudge performance even after being subjected to long-term UV irradiation and physical damages, such as impact and scratch, indicative of the remarkable weathering resistance and the outstanding mechanical durability of these coating surfaces. Therefore, excellent performances in addition to the cost-effective and environmentally-friendly features make these newly-developed smooth water-borne non-fluorinated anti-smudge surfaces promising for widespread applications. In this work, a novel bio-based liquid-repellent coating system was first developed by using 2-mercaptoethanol-modified castor oil (COME) as a coating precursor, polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) as a liquid-repellent agent, and hexamethoxymethylmelamine (HMMM) as a curing agent. The resultant coatings demonstrate exceptional liquid repellency, and they exhibit striking anti-ink ability and self-cleaning performance. Besides, these bio-based coatings show remarkable repellency against water-borne and oil-borne paints as well as fingerprint liquid, indicating that they can potentially be used for anti-graffiti and anti-fingerprint purposes. Furthermore, due to their remarkable resistance against various corrosive agents, they can be employed to protect substrates against harsh chemical conditions. More strikingly, these coatings can be dyed into various colors without compromising their liquid repellency. Compared with commercial fluorinated amphiphobic coatings, silicone-based coatings, and Never Wet superhydrophobic coatings, these fluoride-free bio-based coatings show incomparable advantages in terms of liquid-repellent performances and application foreground. First, Layered double hydroxide (LDH) was modified by toluene diisocyanate (TDI), 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA), and LDH-TDI-HEA was prepared. Then LDH-TDI-HEA was modified by vinyl triethoxysilane (VTES), and LDH-TDI-HEA-VTES composites were obtained. Finally, acrylate was modified by LDH-TDI-HEA-VTES, and flame retarded LDH-TDI-HEA-VTES-Acrylate composites were successfully synthesized by in situ polymerization. The structures of LDH, LDH-TDI-HEA, LDH-TDI-HEA-VTES and LDH-TDI-HEA-VTES-Acrylate composites were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectra, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Scanning electron microscopic. The effect of LDH-TDI-HEA-VTES content on the thermal stability, mechanical properties, adhesion properties and flame retardant properties of LDH-TDI-HEA-VTES-Acrylate composites was studied. At the same time, the thermal stability, mechanical properties, adhesion properties and flame retardant properties of LDH-Acrylate composites and LDH-TDI-HEA-VTES-Acrylate composites were also studied. The experimental results showed that with the increasing of LDH-TDI-HEA-VTES content, the thermal stability, mechanical properties, flame retardant properties, and shear resistance of LDH-TDI-HEA-VTES-Acrylate composites were improved, while the tack and 180° peel strength decreased. When the content of LDH-TDI-HEA-VTES was 7 wt%, the LOI, after-flame time and the UL 94 grade of LDH-TDI-HEA-VTES-Acrylate composites were 27%, 0 s, and V-0, respectively. Dynamic combinatorial chemistry (DCC) involves reversible reactions which can be controlled by thermodynamics method. Transesterification is one of the most widely explored DCC reactions. In this paper, transesterification was used to synthesize self-healing network. First, a three-arm star -shaped hydroxyl-terminated polyglycolide (HTPG) was fabricated though the ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of glycolide by using triethanolamine (TEA) as initiator and tetrabutyl titanate (TBT) as catalyst. Then the self-healing network i.e. isocyanate-based crosslinked star -shaped polyglycolide (ICSPG) was prepared through the crosslink between hexamethylene diisocyanate trimer (HDIT) and HTPG. In order to explore the mechanism of the self-healing, a polyurethane based on a tri-functional polyether polyol (PPPU)was synthesized. The structures of HTPG, ICSPG and PPPU were characterized by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H NMR). The mechanical properties and self-healing properties were characterized by dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA) and polarizing optical microscopy (POM). And the welding test was used to further characterize the self-healing properties of ICSPG. It was found that mechanical recovery is about 70%. With the increasing of the environmental pollution and ecological problems deteriorating by the industrial oily sewages, the super hydrophobic material for efficient oil-water separation has aroused the interest of many researchers. In this paper, we developed a facile, low cost and environment-friendly dipping-UV curing method to fabricate super hydrophobic mMoS 2 /PDMS coating on the surface of fabric for oil-water separation by using 3-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane modified molybdenum disulfide (mMoS 2) and vinyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane (V-PDMS). With the increasing of the mass ratio of mMoS 2 to V-PDMS, the roughness of the fabricated fabric increased. The obtained fabric exhibited outstanding water repellency with water contact angle (WCA) of 157° and sliding angle (SA) of 6°, respectively. The self-lubricating nature of mMoS 2 and the formation of a highly cross-linked network structure enabled the super hydrophobic fabric to be excellent in some physical and chemical resistance challenges that usually bothered similar technologies in practice, namely tolerance for high temperature, chemical liquids and severe abrasion. Furthermore, the fabric could be used as both absorbent and gravity-driven separation device for oil-water separation with high separation efficiency (>97%) and good reusability (separation efficiency at 96.5% after 25 recycle times).
