Objectives: This study aims to develop and validate a prediction model for preterm birth in women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Design: We conducted a retrospective study on women with GDM who gave birth at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat‐sen University, Guangzhou, China, between November 2017 and July 2021. We divided 1879 patients into a development set (n = 1346) and a validation set (n = 533). The development set was used to construct the prediction model for preterm birth using the stepwise logistic regression model. A nomogram and a web calculator were established based on the model. Discrimination and calibration were assessed in both sets. Patients and Measurements: Patients were women with GDM. Data were collected from medical records. GDM was diagnosed with 75‐g oral glucose tolerance test during 24‐28 gestational weeks. Preterm birth was definied as gestational age at birth <37 weeks. Results: The incidence of preterm birth was 9.4%. The predictive model included age, assisted reproductive technology, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, reproductive system inflammation, intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, high‐density lipoprotein, homocysteine, and fasting blood glucose of 75‐g oral glucose tolerance test. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve for the development and validation sets was 0.722 and 0.632, respectively. The model has been adequately calibrated using a calibration curve and the Hosmer–Lemeshow test, demonstrating a correlation between the predicted and observed risk. Conclusion: This study presents a novel, validated risk model for preterm birth in pregnant women with GDM, providing an individualized risk estimation using clinical risk factors in the third trimester of pregnancy. Terpene aroma compounds are key quality attributes of postharvest Torreya grandis nuts, contributing to their commercial value. However, terpene biosynthesis and regulatory networks in different T. grandis cvs. are still poorly understood. Here, chief cvs. 'Xi Fei' and 'Xiangya Fei' were investigated for their differences in terpene biosynthesis and gene expression levels during postharvest ripening using headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME) coupled with gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and transcriptomic datasets. A total of 28 and 22 aroma compounds were identified in 'Xi Fei' and 'Xiangya Fei', respectively. Interestingly, differences in aroma composition between the two cvs. were mostly attributed to D-limonene and α-pinene levels as key determinants in Torreya nuts' flavor. Further, transcriptome profiling, correlation analysis, and RT-qPCR annotated two novel genes, TgTPS1 in 'Xi Fei' and TgTPS2 in 'Xiangya Fei', involved in terpene biosynthesis. In addition, six transcription factors (TFs) with comparable expression patterns to TgTPS1 and four TFs to TgTPS2 were identified via correlation analysis of a volatile and transcriptome dataset to be involved in terpene biosynthesis. Our study provides novel insight into terpene biosynthesis and its regulation at the molecular level in T. grandis nut and presents a valuable reference for metabolic engineering and aroma improvement in this less explored nut. TMEFF1 is a new protein involved in the physiological functions of the central nervous system, and we previously reported TMEFF1 can promote ovarian cancer. ST14 was determined to be involved in the processes of epidermal differentiation, epithelial cell integrity, and vascular endothelial cell migration, etc. The relationship between ST14 and TMEFF1 in the ovary remains unknown. In this study, we detected the expression of ST14 and TMEFF1 in 130 different ovarian cancer tissues through immunohistochemistry. We determined ST14 and TMEFF1 were highly expressed in ovarian cancer, indicating a higher degree of tumor malignancy and a worse prognosis. Tissues significantly expressing ST14 also highly expressed TMEFF1, and the expression of the two proteins was positively correlated. Consistently, immunofluorescence double staining demonstrated the co-localization of ST14 and TMEFF1 in the same region, and immunoprecipitation confirmed the interaction between ST14 and TMEFF1. TMEFF1 expression was also reduced after knocking down ST14 through Western blot. MTT, wound healing and Transwell assays results determined that knockdown of ST14 inhibited proliferation, migration and invasion of ovarian cancer cells in vitro, but the inhibitory effect was restored after adding TMEFF1 exogenous protein. Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathways analysis showed that ST14 and its related genes were enriched in the processes of epithelial formation, intercellular adhesion, protein localization, and mitosis regulation. We also clarified the kinase, microRNA, and transcription factor target networks and the impact of genetic mutations on prognosis. Overall, high expression of ST14 and TMEFF1 in ovarian cancer predicts higher tumor malignancy and a worse prognosis. ST14 and TMEFF1 co-localize and interact with each other in ovarian cancer. ST14 can regulate TMEFF1 expression to promote proliferation, migration and invasion of ovarian cancer cells. Aim: To study the efficacy of octreotide to reduce lymphorrhea and prevent lymphocele after pelvic lymph node excision in gynecological malignancies. Methods: Patients with more than 200 mL of lymph drained per day until postoperative day 3 after pelvic lymph node excision were enrolled. Of the 75 patients, 36 were managed by conservative methods without the injection of octreotide, and the other 39 patients were treated with the injection of octreotide. The treated group was injected with 0.1 mg octreotide q8h for 5 days, starting on postoperative day 3. The drainage tube was removed when the amount of drained lymph decreased to 100 mL per day. The age, BMI, operation time, removed lymph nodes, amount of lymph, duration of drain placement, proportion of patients with lymphocele and complications between these two group were compared. Results: The total and mean daily amount of lymph produced per patient was significantly lower in the octreotide‐treated group than in the untreated group. The duration of drain placement was shorter in the octreotide group than in the untreated group. The proportion of patients with lymphocele in the treatment group was lower than that in the untreated group. Conclusions: The injection of octreotide is effective to reduce lymphorrhea and prevent lymphocele after pelvic lymph node excision in gynecological malignancies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aims and objectives: The study aimed to (1) investigate the changes in maternal and paternal depression, along with social support, across the 6‐month postpartum period; (2) explore the relationships between maternal and paternal depression and social support during the 6‐month postpartum period; and (3) compare the differences in postpartum depression and social support between mothers and fathers at 2–3 days, 6 weeks, 3 months and 6 months postpartum. Background: An increasing body of evidence now shows that postpartum depression affects both mothers and fathers. The notable increase in postpartum depression in China is particularly concerning. Design: A longitudinal study was conducted, guided by the STROBE checklist. Methods: 122 pairs of parents were recruited from September 2020 to October 2021 at a teaching hospital in Guangzhou, China. Data were collected from each parent at 2–3 days, 6 weeks, 3 months and 6 months postpartum, using the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale and the Social Support Rating Scale. We also acquired socio‐demographic and obstetric data at 2–3 days postpartum. Results: Maternal depression was lowest at 2–3 days postpartum compared with that measured at 6 weeks, 3 months and 6 months postpartum. Maternal and paternal social support was highest at 2–3 days postpartum compared with that measured at 6 weeks, 3 months and 6 months postpartum. Maternal depression was significantly correlated with paternal depression while maternal social support was significantly correlated with paternal social support at different time points. Conclusion: Postpartum depression in mothers and social support in both mothers and fathers, showed significant changes during the 6‐month postpartum period. Relevance to clinical practice: Healthcare providers should pay attention to the mental health of both parents, view them as a team and provide both family‐based and women‐cantered interventions. Magnetic topological insulators (TIs), possessing both magnetic order and topological electronic structure, provides an excellent platform to research unusual physical properties. Here, we report a high-pressure study on the anomalous Hall effect of magnetic TI MnSb4Te7 through transports measurements combined with first-principle theoretical calculations. We discover that the ground state of MnSb4Te7 experiences a magnetic phase transition from the A-type antiferromagnetic state to ferromagnetic dominating state at 3.78 GPa, although its crystal sustains a rhombohedral phase under high pressures. The anomalous Hall conductance σxyA is dominated by intrinsic mechanism even after the magnetic phase transition. The results shed light on the intriguing magnetism in MnSb4Te7 and pave the way for further studies of the relationship between topology and magnetism in topological materials. Background: Emerging evidence has highlighted the biological significance of pyroptosis in tumor tumorigenesis and progression. Nonetheless, the potential roles of pyroptosis in tumor immune microenvironment and target therapy of ovarian cancer (OC) remain unknown. Methods: In this study, with a series of bioinformatic and machine learning approaches, we comprehensively evaluated genetic alterations and transcriptome profiles of pyroptosis-associated genes (PYAGs) with TCGA-OV datasets. Consensus molecular clustering was performed to determine pyroptosis-associated clusters (PACs) and gene clusters in OC. Subsequently, component analysis algorithm (PCA) was employed to construct Pyrsig score and a highly accurate nomogram was established to evaluate its efficacy. Meanwhile, we systematically performed association analysis for these groups with prognosis, clinical features, TME cell-infiltrating characteristics, drug response and immunotherapeutic efficacy. Immunohistochemistry was conducted to verify molecular expression with clinical samples. Results: The somatic mutations and copy number variation (CNV) of 51 PYRGs in OC samples were clarified. Two distinct PACs (PAC1/2) and three gene clusters (A/B/C) were identified based on 1332 OC samples, PAC1 and gene cluster A were significantly associated with favorable overall survival (OS), clinicopathological features and TME cell-infiltrating characteristics. Subsequently, Pyrsig score was successfully established to demonstrate the prognostic value and immune characteristics of pyroptosis in OC, low Pyrsig score, characterized by activated immune cell infiltration, indicated prolonged OS, increased sensitivity of some chemotherapeutic drugs and enhanced efficacy of anti-PD-L1 immunotherapy, Consequently, a nomogram was successfully established to improve the clinical applicability and stability of Pyrsig score. With clinical OC samples, GSDMD and GZMB proteins were validated highly expressed in OC and associated with immune infiltration and Pyrsig score, GZMB and CD8 proteins were regarded as independent prognostic factors of OC. Conclusion: This work revealed pyroptosis played a non-negligible role in prognosis value, clinicopathological characteristics and tumor immune infiltration microenvironment in OC, which provided novel insights into identifying and characterizing landscape of tumor immune microenvironment, thereby guiding more effective prognostic evaluation and tailored immunotherapy strategies of OC. Oxygen vacancies (Ov) in metal oxides play a crucial role in modifying the electronic and acidic properties of catalysts, thereby influencing their catalytic activity. This study explores the impact of Ov in MnOx catalysts on their acidic and catalytic properties for the Meerwein–Ponndorf–Verley reduction of levulinic acid (LA) and levulinate to γ-valerolactone (GVL). Various characterization techniques demonstrate that surface Ov significantly modulate the acidic properties of MnOx catalysts, positively correlating with Lewis/Brønsted acid ratio and GVL yield. In situ DRIFTS and DFT calculations further unveil the reaction mechanism, revealing that Ov facilitate the activation and dehydrogenation of isopropanol and subsequent hydrogen transfer and hydrogenation of LA, leading to enhanced GVL production. Introduction: Cultural orientation and interdependent self-construal can moderate the relationship between perceived pro-generation investment and future orientation of young adults. To test how interdependent self-construal moderate the relationship between pro-generation investment and future orientation of young adults from two different cultural ecologies was the aim of the current study.Methods: A cross-cultural comparison was conducted among study participants from China, Germany, and the United States. Interdependent self-construal, perceived pro-generation investment by parents (parental investment), and future orientation were measured. Cross-cultural data were collected from 205 college students in China, a collectivist culture, and 169 college students in Germany (n = 50) and the United States (n = 119), which are individualist cultures. We examined a three-way interaction with cultural orientation and interdependent self-construal as moderators in the relationship between perceived parental investment and future orientation.Results: In the collectivist cultural context, there appeared no moderating effect of interdependent self-construal on the relationship between perceived parental investment and future orientation, although interdependent self-construal and perceived parental investment predicted future orientation. In the individualistic cultural context, there was a moderating effect. For individuals high in interdependent self-construal, future orientation remained stable as perceived parental investment increased. For individuals low in interdependent self-construal, future orientation decreased as perceived parental investment increased.Conclusions: The findings have practical implications in that parents should follow the cultural orientation of their background and provide their children with individualized investment and education to shape the future orientation of their offspring. Recently, the warm mixing modified ultrathin abrasive layer has been paid great attention due to the green energy-saving strength. In regard to its durability, the study of the fatigue behavior of the SMC warm mixing modified ultrathin abrasive layer asphalt mixture was carried out under the strain controlling mode. The relationship among all characteristic parameters (bending stiffness modulus, normalized times, and products phase angle) and stress cycle times showed a similar three-stage change process, except for the accumulative dissipated energy. The transition point (Nf) between the second (RDEC2) and the third stage (RDEC3) was assumed to be the characteristic fatigue cracking sign for the SMC warm mixing modified ultrathin abrasive layer. In that case, supported by multiobjective system, the relative change of dissipation energy, rather than the 50% initial stiffness, was regarded as the appropriate fatigue cracking criteria. Aims: The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of potentially inappropriate medication (PIM) prescribing and its number‐dependent association (PIM = 1, 2, ≥3) with all‐cause hospitalizations, emergency department (ED) visits, and medication expenditures in Beijing, China. Methods: A retrospective cohort analysis was conducted to analyse PIM prescribing in community‐dwelling older adults aged ≥65 years within the Beijing Municipal Medical Insurance Database (data from July to September 2016). The prevalence of PIMs was estimated based on the 2015 Beers Criteria. Logistic models were utilized to investigate the associations between PIM use and all‐cause hospitalizations and ED visits. Generalized linear models with the logic link and gamma distribution were used to analyse associations between PIM use and medication expenditures. Results: Among the 506 214 older adults, the prevalence of PIM was 38.07%. After adjusting for covariables, prescribing two and three or more PIMs was associated with increased risks of hospitalizations (PIM = 2: odds ratio [OR] 1.34, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.22–1.47; PIM ≥ 3: OR = 1.47, 95% CI: 1.32–1.63) and ED visits (PIM = 2: OR = 1.29, 95% CI 1.12–1.48; PIM ≥ 3: OR = 1.23, 95% CI: 1.04–1.44). Exposures to two and three or more PIMs were associated with higher medication expenditures for inpatient visits (PIM = 2: incidence rate ratio [IRR] = 1.08, 95% CI 1.01–1.16; PIM ≥ 3: IRR = 1.18, 95% CI: 1.08–1.28). Vasodilators were the most frequent PIM prescribing group among patients who were hospitalized or had to visit the ED. Conclusions: PIMs were prescribed at a high rate among community‐dwelling older adults in Beijing. Two or more PIMs were associated with increased risks of hospitalizations, ED visits, and increased inpatient medication expenditures. Objective. Mask positive-pressure ventilation could lead to lung ventilation inhomogeneity, potentially inducing lung function impairments, when compared with spontaneous breathing. Lung ventilation inhomogeneity can be monitored by chest electrical impedance tomography (EIT), which could increase our understanding of mask ventilation-derived respiratory mechanics. We hypothesized that the two-handed mask holding ventilation technique resulted in better lung ventilation, reflected by respiratory mechanics, when compared with the one-handed mask holding technique. Approach. Elective surgical patients with healthy lungs were randomly assigned to receive either one-handed mask holding (one-handed group) or two-handed mask holding (two-handed group) ventilation. Mask ventilation was performed by certified registered anesthesiologists, during which the patients were mechanically ventilated using the pressure-controlled mode. EIT was used to assess respiratory mechanics, including ventilation distribution, global and regional respiratory system compliance (C RS), expiratory tidal volume (TVe) and minute ventilation volume. Hemodynamic parameters and the PaO2-FiO2 ratio were also recorded. Main results. Eighty adult patients were included in this study. Compared with spontaneous ventilation, mask positive-pressure ventilation caused lung ventilation inhomogeneity with both one-handed(global inhomogeneity index: 0.40 ± 0.07 versus 0.50 ± 0.15; P  < 0.001) and two-handed mask holding (0.40 ± 0.08 versus 0.50 ± 0.13; P  < 0.001). There were no differences in the global inhomogeneity index (P  = 0.948) between the one-handed and two-handed mask holding. Compared with the one-handed mask holding, the two-handed mask holding was associated with higher TVe (552.6 ± 184.2 ml versus 672.9 ± 156.6 ml, P  = 0.002) and higher global C RS (46.5 ± 16.4 ml/cmH2O versus 53.5 ± 14.5 ml/cmH2O, P  = 0.049). No difference in PaO2-FiO2 ratio was found between both holding techniques (P  = 0.743). Significance. The two-handed mask holding technique could not improve the inhomogeneity of lung ventilation when monitored by EIT during mask ventilation although it obtained larger expiratory tidal volumes than the one-handed mask holding technique. [Display omitted] • Zircon U-Pb ages indicate late Carboniferous to early Permian magmatic activity. • Dabate intrusions originate from melting of lower crust mixed with mantle materials. • The intrusions are A 2 -type granites formed in post-collision extensional environment. The Dabate deposit in the West Tianshan Orogenic Belt is a large porphyry Mo-Cu deposit with obvious zoning feature. The Dabate pluton is closely related to mineralization associated with the rhyolite and granite porphyries. Copper (Cu) mineralization occurs on the margin of the rhyolite porphyry, and molybdenum (Mo) mineralization occurs in the interior of the rhyolite porphyry. Petrology, zircon U-Pb isotopic data, whole-rock geochemistry, and Sr-Nb-Hf-Pb isotopic data of the rhyolite and granite porphyries in the Dabate Mo-Cu mining zone and to discuss the properties, sources, evolution, and tectonic environment of the magma. Zircon U-Pb age dating shows that the rhyolite porphyry and granite porphyry were formed in 300.1 ± 1.3 Ma and 290.4 ± 5.2 Ma, respectively, and they are geochemically similar. Both are characterized by negative Eu anomalies (δEu = 0.09–0.15 and 0.10–0.11, respectively) and are slightly rich in light rare earth elements (LREE) but depleted in high-field-strength elements (HFSE), which indicates that they are both A 2 type granites that underwent high differentiation. The Sr isotope (I Sr) values for the rhyolite and granite porphyries range from 0.70564 to 0.70658 and 0.70833–0.70954, respectively. The Nd isotopic composition [ε Nd (t)] values for both are negative but close to zero (−0.25 to −0.46 and −0.65 to −1.10, respectively), and the two-stage depleted mantle Nd model ages (T DM2 (Nd)) are 1.07–1.10 Ga and 1.11–1.14 Ga, respectively. Zircon ε Hf (t) values are 7.29–11.97 and 6.26–11.08 for rhyolite porphyry and granite porphyry, respectively, and the two-stage Hf model ages (T DM2 (Hf)) are 550–848 Ma and 605–916 Ma, respectively. The initial Pb isotope ratios for the rhyolite and granite porphyry are close at (206Pb/204Pb) i = 18.26–18.65, (207Pb/204Pb) i = 15.54–15.64, and (208Pb/204Pb) i = 38.19–38.57. These results indicate that the two porphyries have a mixed source, likely originating from the partial melting of mantle blended with some recently formed lower crust material. The geochronology, geochemistry, and Sr-Nd-Hf-Pb isotope data of existing intrusions in the West Tianshan imply that the Late Carboniferous to Early Permian Dabate area was underplated in a post-collisional extensional setting, and A 2 -type granite intrusions with related Mo-Cu mineralization were formed. High-entropy alloy (HEA) is an attracting topic raising in materials science and condensed matter physics. Although several types of superconductors have been discovered in HEAs, the critical currents (Jc) of HEA superconductors require further study. Here, we study the current-carrying ability of (TaNb)0.7(HfZrTi)0.5 HEA at various heat treatment conditions. We obtained the high upper critical field and large current carrying ability, which point to the potential applicability of the HEA superconductor under extreme conditions. Interestingly, the fishtail or the second peak effect was found in HEA superconductors, and the position of the vortex pinning force shows a maximum at 0.72 of the reduced field, which is quite different from the cuprates and iron-based high-Tc superconductors. This study aimed to examine the multiple mediating roles of social support and self‐control in the relationship between harmonious personality and work–family conflict. A total of 143 Chinese adults (137 male, 95.8%; aged 30.25 ± 7.85 years) participated in this longitudinal study. Data were collected at three time points, at intervals of 1 month. Self‐report questionnaires measuring social demographics and harmonious personality (Time 1), self‐control and social support (Time 2), and work–family conflict (Time 3) were administered. Self‐control and work–family conflict were negatively correlated. The relationship between harmony and work–family conflict was mediated by self‐control and social support. Possible paths were self‐control and multiple mediation by social support and self‐control. Our results confirmed the multiple mediating roles of social support and self‐control in the relationship between harmonious personality and work–family conflict. To achieve a better work–family balance, it is important not only to establish a harmonious interpersonal perspective and to enhance the social support from employers, colleagues, and family but also to ensure adequate self‐control resources. Kagome lattice, made of corner-sharing triangles, provides an excellent platform for hosting exotic topological quantum states. Here, we systematically studied the magnetic and transport properties of RMn6Sn6 (R = Tb, Dy, Ho) with clean Mn kagome lattice. All the compounds have a collinear ferrimagnetic structure with different easy axis at low temperature. The low-temperature magnetoresistance (MR) is positive and has no tendency to saturate below 7 T, while the MR gradually declines and becomes negative with the increasing temperature. A large intrinsic anomalous Hall conductivity about 250, 40, and 95 Ω−1 cm−1 is observed for TbMn6Sn6, DyMn6Sn6, and HoMn6Sn6, respectively. Our results imply that RMn6Sn6 system is an excellent platform to discover other intimately related topological or quantum phenomena and also tune the electronic and magnetic properties in future studies. EOR is a semi-reaction of direct ethanol fuel cells (DEFCs), and determines the performance of the DEFCs. Therefore, it is very important for EOR to rationally design an electrocatalyst with excellent activity, stability and CO-resistance. Based on this, we report the synthesis of MOF based composite catalysts by a facile method, which is formed by combining polyaniline hydrogel (PANH) with MOF 1 and carbon cloth (CC). At the same time, the structures of the composites were characterized by XRD, SEM and XPS. Under the optimum conditions, the j value for EOR is 107 mA cm−2 under alkaline conditions at 0.6 V, which indicates that composite 2 has excellent catalytic activity for EOR, and is superior to that of the previously reported nickel-based catalysts for EOR. The Tafel slope and the exchange current density of composite 2 are 88.9 mV dec−1 and 1.95 × 10−5 A cm−2 respectively. In addition, the j value of composite 2 was 65% of the original value after 1000 CV cycles. However, when the electrolyte was changed into the original one (1 M KOH + 1 M EtOH), the j value returned to 74% of the original value. Based on the excellent electrocatalytic performance, good stability and anti-CO poisoning, composite 2 is expected to be an economic, efficient and CO poisoning resistant electrocatalyst for EOR. Ni-MOF based composites, which is formed by combining polyaniline hydrogel (PANH) with MOF 1 and carbon cloth (CC), were used as excellent activity, good stability and carbon monoxide resistant catalysts for methanol oxidation reaction under alkaline medium. Three Co(II) coordination polymers (CPs), {[Co2(HL)(1,4-bibb)(H2O)]·(CH3CN)·(H2O)}n (1), {[Co4(L)(OH)3(H2O)4]·(1,4-bmib)}n (2) and {[Co6(L)2(OH)2(4,4-biyb)]·(CH3CN)·(H2O)}n (3) have been obtained based on a V-shaped rigid pentacarboxylate ligand (H5L = 3,5-di(2′,5′-dicarboxylphenyl)benzoic acid) and different N-donor ligands. Two novel coordination polymers (CPs), namely, {[Mn2(HL)(DMF)2(H2O)]·H2O}n (1) and {[Mn2(HL)(bibp)(H2O)]·H2O}n (2) {H5L = 2,4-di(2′,5′-dicarboxylphenyl)benzoic acid, bibp = 4,4′-bis(imidazolyl)biphenyl}, were prepared under solvothermal conditions by a mixed-ligand strategy. The structural analysis shows that 1 has a 2D sheet structure with a 2-nodal (3,5)-connected {3·4·5}{32·4·5·62·74} topology, which is further expanded into a 3D supermolecular framework by hydrogen bonding between 2D layers, while 2 exhibits a 3D framework with a 3-nodal (3,3,12)-connected network with a point Schläfli symbol of {3·4·5}2{3·52}2{32·414·510·626·76·86·92}. Moreover, temperature dependent magnetic susceptibility and magnetization measurements revealed that 1 and 2 show weak antiferromagnetic interactions in the Mn chains with different spin topologies, which consist of repeating sequences of –J1J2– for 1 and –J1J2J3J2– for 2. Meanwhile, their superexchange coupling constants obtained using the PHI program further indicate that the magnetic interactions have an –AF–AF– repeating sequence for 1 and an –F–AF–F–AF– repeating sequence for 2, which are attributed to the structural differences of CPs 1 and 2 and are consistent with the magnetic results of structural analysis. Two novel 3D Cd-MOFs, namely {[Cd4(HDDCP)2(4,4′-bibp)2(H2O)2]·2.5(DOA)·1.5(H2O)}n (1) and {[Cd2(HDDCP)(1,4-bib)(H2O)]·H2O}n (2), where H5DDCP = 2,4-di(2′,5′-dicarboxylphenyl)benzoic acid, 4,4′-bibp = 4,4′-bis(imidazolyl)biphenyl and 1,4-bib = 1,4-bis(1-imidazoly)benzene, have been solvothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis (EA), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and infrared (IR) analysis. The structural analysis showed that 1 should be regarded as a complex 3D structure based on different 1D Cd–(COO) or Cd–(COO)–(COOH) rods as SBUs, and 2 was viewed as a complex 3D framework based on 1D Cd–(COO) rods as SBUs. MOFs 1 and 2 have good stability in boiling water, and alkaline/acidic aqueous solutions (pH = 4–10). The adsorption measurements indicated that the adsorption capacity of 1 for CO2 and CH4 is greater than that of 2, while the adsorption selectivity of 1 for CO2 is superior to that for CH4, which is attributed to the fact that 1 has a larger porosity and CO2 has characteristics such as a linear structure, larger polarizability and significant quadrupole moment. Objective: This study aims to investigate the prevalence of anxiety and depressive symptoms and the associations between social support and anxiety/depressive symptoms amongst Chinese pregnant women with a history of recurrent miscarriage. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in Guangzhou, China, between September 2016 and May 2017 with 278 Chinese pregnant women with a history of recurrent miscarriage. Measures included the Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) and the Perceived Social Support Scale (PSSS). Results: The occurrence of anxiety (SAS ≥ 50) and depressive symptoms (EPDS ≥ 13) were 45.0% and 37.0%, respectively. The women reported moderate level of social support. The low and moderate level of social support and education of high school or below were the predictors for anxiety and depressive symptoms. The other predictors for anxiety symptoms were having been married for ≥5 years and no child. Another predictor for depressive symptoms was aged ≥35 years. Anxiety predicted depressive symptoms. Conclusion: The results suggest early routine screening for anxiety and depressive symptoms amongst the Chinese pregnant women with a history of recurrent miscarriage. Aims: This study aimed to investigate illness perceptions and their predictors among Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods: A descriptive, correlational, and exploratory design was used. The Chinese version of the Revised Illness Perception Questionnaire was modified and used to collect data between September 2016 and February 2017. Results: On average, patients recognized fewer than five of the 14 common symptoms of type 2 diabetes. Of the six causal factors, "dietary behaviours" had the highest mean score, while "psychological factors" had the lowest score. Most patients lacked understanding of type 2 diabetes mellitus. They perceived it as a chronic and stable illness, without negative affective response, and controllable by themselves and through treatment. Gender, age, marital status, educational level, family income, employment status, diabetes duration, diabetes‐related complications, comorbid conditions, number of hospital admissions, and the level of haemoglobin A1c were predictors of illness perceptions. Conclusions: The findings of the present study suggest that the illness perceptions of Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes should be improved. This evidence may enrich the theoretical understanding of illness perceptions and be used to develop interventions for enhancing illness perceptions in such patients. This research aims at analysing the mechanical performance of concrete with recycled aggregates from concrete pavements. First, the characteristics of various natural and recycled aggregates used in the concrete were thoroughly analysed. The composition of the recycled aggregates was determined and several physical and chemical tests of the aggregates were performed. In order to evaluate the mechanical performance of recycled concrete, cube compressive strength and flexural tensile strength tests were performed. The effect of recycled aggregates on the strength of recycled concrete is related to the strength of recycled aggregates, the strength of natural aggregates, and the strength of old concrete. The strength of recycled concrete decreases with increasing water-cement ratio. However, due to the water absorption of the recycled aggregate, it has a certain inhibitory effect on the strength reduction. As the replacement rate of recycled aggregates increases, the optimal sand ratio decreases. The sand ratio is controlled between 32% and 38%, which is ideal for recycled concrete. With the increase of fly ash content, the 7 d strength of recycled concrete has decreased to some extent, but the 28 d strength has been slightly improved. Background: Endometrial carcinoma (EC) is one of the most common malignant tumors in gynecology. The potential functions and mechanisms of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) in the occurrence and progression of EC remains unclear. It's meaningful to explore lncRNAs signature for providing prognostic value of EC. Methods: The differentially expressed lncRNAs and their prognostic values in EC were investigated based on The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database; the transcriptional factors (TFs), the competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) mechanism, functional regulatory network and immune infiltration of RP11-89K21.1 and RP11-357H14.17 were further explored by various bioinformatics tools and databases. Results: We firstly identified high expression of RP11-89K21.1 and RP11-357H14.17 were closely associated with shorten overall survival (OS) and poor prognosis in patients with EC. We also elucidated the networks of transcription factor and co-expression genes associated with RP11-89K21.1 and RP11-357H14.17. Furthermore, the ceRNA network mechanism was successfully constructed through 2 lncRNAs (RP11-89K21.1 and RP11-357H14.17), 11 miRNAs and 183 mRNAs. Functional enrichment analysis revealed that the targeting genes of RP11-89K21.1 and RP11-357H14.17 were strongly associated with microRNAs in cancer, vessel development, growth regulation, growth factor and cell differentiation, and involved in pathways including pathways in cancer, microRNAs in cancer and apoptotic signaling pathway. Conclusions: We demonstrated for the first time that RP11-89K21.1 and RP11-357H14.17 may play crucial roles in the occurrence, development and malignant biological behavior of EC, and can be regarded as potential prognostic biomarkers for EC. Tire production is increasing every year due to the increase in vehicle sales. The generation and disposal of waste are inherent to life itself and have presented very serious problems to the human community in China. Recently, some research has been devoted to the use of tire-recycled steel fibers in concrete. This study is focusing on the use of tire-recycled steel fibers. Several volume ratios of tire-recycled steel fibers were used in concrete mix to fabricate and test. Reinforced concrete obtains evidence and satisfactory improvement by adding tire-recycled steel fibers, mostly in compressive strength, splitting strength, flexural tensile strength, and flexural toughness. The strength and flexural toughness of the tire-recycled steel fiber reinforced concrete are lower than those of industrial steel fibers. To obtain concrete with approximately the same strength or toughness, the content of tire-recycled steel fibers should be about 1%-2% higher than that of industrial steel fibers. In addition, the load-deflection curve tends to become fuller after the first crack, and the second peak of the load continues to increase. A bifunctional Tb-based metal–organic framework, namely {[Tb(TCPB)(DMF)]·dioxane·0.5H2O}n, has been assembled from the tripodal ligand 1,3,5-tris(4-carbonylphenyloxy)benzene (H3TCPB) using solvothermal methods and characterized by EA, TG, IR, PXRD, etc. Structural analysis revealed that Tb-MOF is a 3D (4,8)-c net with the point symbol {44·62}2{48·617·83} and contains two different 1D channels, rectangular (11.115 Å × 13.231 Å) and quadrilateral (12.228 Å × 19.210 Å). The luminescence properties of Tb-MOF showed that it has high sensitivity to and exhibits selective sensing for nitrofurazone (NZF) and nitrofurantoin (NFT) in aqueous solutions. Meanwhile, owing to its typical Tb yellowish-green emission, the ground Tb-MOF powder can be used for fingerprint recognition. Furthermore, because of its pores and surface area, the adsorption capacity of Tb-MOF for NFT and NZF in water medium can reach 81.3% and 84.4% within 120 min, respectively. [Display omitted] • Kusongmuqieke Group had a higher contribution to skarn mineralization than granodiorite porphyry. • Skarn and porphyry mineralization were formed successively during Middle Devonian. • The proposed metallogenic model may assist in the exploration of similar deposits. The Saibo skarn–porphyry deposit, located in West Tianshan, NW China, is a large copper deposit discovered recently; however, information regarding the differences and connections between skarn and porphyry mineralization remains limited. Thus, this study aimed to investigate fluid inclusions (FIs), H–O–C–S–Pb isotopes, and U–Pb, and Re–Os geochronology to unravel the origin and evolution of the entire hydrothermal system. Skarn mineralization occurs as stratiform and lenticular in the contact zone between the granodiorite porphyry and Kusongmuqieke Group limestone. We identified four mineralization stages: prograde skarn stage (I S), retrograde skarn stage (II S), quartz–pyrrhotite–chalcopyrite stage (III S), and calcite–quartz–pyrite stage (IV S), and four types of FIs: CH 4 -rich (C-type), halite-bearing (S-type), vapor-rich (V-type), and liquid-rich (L-type) FIs. The homogenization temperatures (T h) of FIs from stages I S , III S , and IV S were 366–419, 271–315, and 174–235 °C, respectively, with salinities of 1.7–46.0, 2.2–9.6, and 4.5–7.7 wt% NaCl eqv., respectively. Porphyry mineralization occurs as veinlet-disseminated ores in the granodiorite porphyry. We identified three mineralization stages: quartz–molybdenite–pyrite stage (I P), quartz–chalcopyrite–pyrite stage (II P), and calcite–quartz–galena stage (III P). Unlike skarn mineralization, only the S-, V-, and L-type FIs were identified, with T h of 332–379, 263–315, and 169–233 °C from stages I P , II P , and III P , respectively, and salinities of 1.9–42.3, 2.2–9.6, and 4.2–6.9 wt% NaCl eqv., respectively. The H–O isotope data indicate that the ore-forming fluids were initially derived from magmatic water and gradually diluted by meteoric water during fluid migration. According to C isotope data and the presence of C-type FIs, fluids from skarn mineralization contained more organic carbon than those from porphyry mineralization. The S–Pb isotope data of sulfides suggest that ore-forming materials are derived from both granodiorite porphyry and the Kusongmuqieke Group, although the latter contributed more to skarn mineralization. Pyrites from porphyry mineralization yielded a Re–Os isochron age of 376.0 ± 7.9 Ma, which was slightly younger than the chalcopyrite Re–Os ages of skarn mineralization (>379 Ma). The granodiorite porphyry, which is considered the ore-causative intrusion, yielded a U–Pb age of 380.8 ± 1.8 Ma. Our results indicate that two styles of mineralization were formed successively at different spatial locations during the emplacement of the granodiorite porphyry in a southward subduction setting of the North Tianshan Ocean. The proposed metallogenic model provides a better understanding of the Saibo skarn–porphyry metallogenic system and is expected to assist in the exploration of similar deposits in the West Tianshan orogenic belt. Abstract Two new metal−organic frameworks (MOFs), formulated as {[Ni 3 (TCPB) 2 (bibp) 2 ]·4dioxane·DMF·H 2 O} n (1), {[Mn 3 (TCPB) 2 (bimp)(DMF)]} n (2) have been constructed from polycarboxylate ligand as well as bis(imidazole) ligands under hydrothermal method (H 3 TCPB=1,3,5-tris(4-carbonylphenyloxy)benzene, bibp = 4,4'-bis(imidazol-1-yl)biphenyl, bimb= 1,4-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benene). Structural analysis reveals that both 1 and 2 are two-fold interpenetrated 3D frameworks. Complex 1 is a novel 2-nodal (3,10)- {3.4 2 } 2 {3 4 .4 10 .5 14 .6 14 .7 2 .8}-3,10T3 net, the structure of 2 is a (3,8)-connected {4 3 } 2 {4 6 .6 18 .8 4 }–tfz–d net. Furthermore, sorption behaviors of 1 for gases (N 2, H 2 , CH 4 , and CO 2) and organic dyes (MB, RhB, MO) showed that 1 has high selectivity for the adsorption of CO 2 over CH 4 and MB over other dye molecules (RhB and MO), respectively. In addition, the magnetic properties measurements indicated that both 1 and 2 display antiferromagnetic interactions between trinuclear {M 3 (COO) 6 } SBUs. Abstract Four coo;rdination polymers (CPs), namely, [Ni(HDNA)(bibp)(H 2 O)] n (1), [Co(HDNA)(bibp)] n (2), {[Co(HDNA)(bibp)]·H 2 O} n (3) and {[Zn(HDNA)(bibp)]·H 2 O} n (4), have been synthesized from the mixed-ligand strategy of 6-(3,5-dicarboxylphenyl)nicotinic acid (H 3 DNA) and 4,4′-bis(benzimidazo-1-ly)benzene (bibp). Abstract In traditional Chinese medicine, an extract intermediate is an extracted and purified intermediary of the production process, and its quality is crucial to the efficacy of the final product. Lumbrokinase (LK), which is found in earthworm extract intermediate, has good fibrinolysis, is an anticoagulant, provides hemorheological improvement and has other pharmacological effects, and it shows significant advantages in the treatment of thromboses. The traditional method for determining lumbrokinase potency is an agarose-fibrin plate assay, but it takes more than a dozen hours to perform and requires expensive culture medium. To develop a new method for rapidly and accurately determining the potency of lumbrokinase, near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy combined with chemometrics is presented in this study. In addition, the variable selection combination method was investigated to optimize the modeling variables and improve the predictive abilities of the NIR model. After optimization, the parameter values of the correlation coefficient, R 2 c , R 2 p , RMSEC and RMSEP, of the partial least squares regression (PLSR) quantitative model were 0.9398, 0.9340, 289.618 U, and 538.313 U, respectively. This study demonstrates that NIR analysis techniques are a potential tool for rapidly determining lumbrokinase potency in earthworm extract intermediate. In this paper, we have presented a convenient strategy to fabricate Cu-doped carbon quantum dots (Cu-CQDs) for H2S sensing and imaging applications. Cu-CQDs are obtained by one step hydrothermal carbonization, using ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid salts and cupric chloride as sources, which simultaneously incorporates Cu (H2S-responding site) and a luminescent carbon quantum dot (fluorophore). Thus, the added NaHS (H2S donor) can lead to the fluorescence quenching of Cu-CQDs, and such a fluorescence response allows the detection of H2S in the range of 2–500 μM with a detection limit of 0.5 μM (S/N = 3). Three novel coordination polymers (CPs), formulated as [Co 2 (TZI)(OH)(H 2 O) 2 ] n ( 1 ), {[Co(H 2 TZI) 2 (BIB)(H 2 O) 2 ]·(H 2 O) 2 } n ( 2 ), and [Ni(HTZI)(BPB)(H 2 O)] n ( 3 ) (H 3 TZI = 5-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)isophthalic acid, BIB = 1,4-bi(1-imidazolyl)benzene, and BPB = 1,4-bi(1- pyridyl)benzene), have been synthesized under hydrothermal methods, using 5-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)isophthalic acid ligand (H 3 TZI) and two different N-donating ancillary ligands. Their structures have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, elemental analysis (EA), IR spectra (IR), powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). X-ray single-crystal diffraction analyses reveal that complex 1 possesses a 2D bilayer structure, complex 2 displays a 3D supermolecular structure with a Co(H 2 TZI) 2 SBU by H-bond interactions between neighbouring 1D chains, and complex 3 presents a 2D framework with a dinuclear [Ni 2 N 4 ] 2+ SBU. Furthermore, the magnetic properties of 1 – 3 have been investigated, the results show there are antiferromagnetic interactions between the Co ions in 1 and 2 , and the ferromagnetic interactions between Ni ions in 3 . Based on 5,5 ′ -(1,3,6,8-tetraoxobenzo[ lmn ][3,8] phenanthrolin-2-7-diyl)bis-1,3- benzenedicarboxylic acid (H 4 BIPA-TC), two novel 2D coordination polymers, formulated as {[Cd(BIPA-TC) 0.5 (1,4-bib)(H 2 O)]·(H 2 O) 3.5 } n ( 1 ) and {[Cd 2 (BIPA-TC)(4,4 ′ -bibp)(H 2 O)]·(H 2 O)} n ( 2 ) have been solvothermally synthesized with the help of two bis(imidazole) linkers, 1,4-bib and 4,4 ′ -bibp(1,4-bib = 1,4-bis(benzimidazo-1-ly)benzene and 4,4 ′ -bibp = 4,4′-bis(imidazolyl)biphenyl). Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis shows that complex 1 is a (4,4)-connected bilayer network structure with the point symbol of (4 6 ·4 8 ) 2 (4 2 ·6 4 ), which further expand into an interestingly 2D + 2D → 3D interweaved framework. Complex 2 possesses a (4,6)-connected network with two kinds of {Cd 2 (COO) 2 } SBUs with the point symbol of (3 2 ·4 2 ·5 2 )(3 4 ·4 4 ·5 4 ·6 3 ), which further pack into a 3D supramolecular architecture through hydrogen bonds. Direct ethanol fuel cell (DEFC) is a kind of energy conversion device with potential application prospect. The development of non-precious metal-based catalysts with high activity and stability is of great necessary for ethanol oxidation reaction (EOR). Here, the laminated composites with hollow structure were synthesized by a simple strategy, which consists of NiO nanocrystals anchored on pitaya peel-derived carbon (PPC). The electrochemical tests show that the optimal electrocatalyst (NiO@PPC-600) exhibits excellent catalytic activity for EOR with the current density (j) of 231.8 mA cm-2 (1.6 V vs. RHE) under alkaline conditions. Furthermore, the j retention rate (83.0%) of NiO@PPC-600 exceeds that (16.4%) of Pt/C in the long-term 12 h EOR test. The superior properties of the NiO@PPC-600 are mainly ascribed to its mesoporous structure that facilitates electrolyte and electron transfer and the PPC substrate that avoids the shedding of NiO nanocrystals, it has moderate lattice defects and graphitization, minimal contact resistance and Tafel slope. The work provides a simple route to prepare a high-efficient electrocatalyst for EOR, and the reuse of biomass pitaya peel (PP) is realized. The composite (CoP-Co 2 P@CC-300) of the in-situ grown CoP-Co 2 P nanocrystals anchored on carbon cloth (CC) has been synthesized, used as efficient bifunctional catalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and hydrazine oxidation reaction (HzOR), and has excellent activity and durability. Herein, the CoP-Co 2 P@CC-300 composites self-supported on carbon cloth (CC) were prepared by chemical reduction coupling phosphating method. The required voltages of HER (-61 mV) and HzOR (-89 mV) on CoP-Co 2 P@CC-300 are comparable to or exceed that reported at 10 mA cm−2, which is mainly attributed to the high dispersion and intrinsic activity of CoP-Co 2 P nanoparticles, and good conductivity of CoP-Co 2 P@CC-300. Furthermore, the overall hydrazine splitting (OHzS) electrolyzer was assembled by using CoP-Co 2 P@CC-300 electrodes, and the required cell voltage for the OHzS is only 37 mV at 10 mA cm−2, which is lower than or comparable to that reported. The OHzS electrolyzer can still achieve efficient hydrogen production under same conditions except that power source is a dry cell or a solar panel. The DFT calculation shows that the excellent performance of CoP-Co 2 P@CC-300 is mainly ascribed to that CoP-Co 2 P can reduce the adsorption free energy of hydrogen (ΔG H*) in HER process and the energy barrier of the rate-limiting step (dehydrogenation of * N 2 H 2 to *N 2 H) in HzOR process. Abstract: The Ni-N@C-400 composite, which was synthesized by In situ Ni nanocrystals anchored on N-containing carbon matrix derived from eggshell membrance (ESM), presents excellent activity and stability for the electrocatalytic oxidation of urea. The urea oxidation is an effective method to treat wastewater containing urea and energy production. Here, an eggshell membrane (ESM) was immersed in a solution of nickel salts to form Ni(II)@ESM, which was freeze-dried and pyrolyzed to prepare the optimal Ni-N@C-400 composite. The Ni-N@C-400 composite is mesoporous network-interlaced structure, in which Ni nanocrystals are anchored on nitrogen-doped carbon. Furthermore, electrochemical tests show that Ni-N@C-400 composite has the current density (j) of 10 mA cm−2 for urea oxidation reaction (UOR) at a potential of 1.37 V vs RHE, and its performance is comparable to those reported in some literatures, which is mainly due to that the mesoporous structure of the composite facilitates the penetration of electrolyte and electron transfer, the presence of pyrrole/pyridine nitrogen in the composite provides active sites for UOR. In addition, the Ni-N@C-400 sample showed a j retention rate of 96% after a long 12 h CA cycling test, which exceeds that of commercial Pt/C, and is mainly attributed to the fact that the Ni nanocrystals are anchored on nitrogen-doped carbon to avoid shedding of the active components. The objective of the study is to assess the TNF-α levels in PCOS patients and healthy controls. A comprehensive electronic search in Medline, Embase, and the Cochrane Library database was conducted up to July 2016. Random-effects model was used to estimate the standardized mean differences (SMDs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Twenty-nine studies with a total of 1960 participants (1046 PCOS patients and 914 controls) were included in this meta-analysis. The TNF-α levels in PCOS patients were significantly higher than those in controls (random-effects, SMD = 0.60, 95% CI = 0.28–0.92, P<0.001). With regard to the subgroup analyses stratified by ethnicity, study quality, methods, and BMI, significantly high TNF-α levels were found in patients with PCOS in almost all of these subgroups. In the subgroup stratified by HOMA-IR ratio and T ratio, significant differences were only observed in the subgroups with HOMA-IR ratio of >1.72(SMD = 0.967, 95% CI = 0.103–1.831, P = 0.028, I2 = 93.5%) and T ratio>2.10 (SMD = 1.420, 95% CI = 0.429–2.411, P = 0.005, I2 = 96.1%). By meta-regression it was suggested that ethnicity might contribute little to the heterogeneity between the included studies. Through cumulative meta-analysis and sensitivity analysis it was supposed that the higher TNF-α levels of PCOS patients compared to healthy controls was stable and reliable. This meta-analysis suggests that the circulating TNF-α levels in women with PCOS are significantly higher than those in healthy controls. Although mobile purchase is convenient in the age of mobile commerce, many consumers still do not utilize mobile purchase to its full potential. From the mobile vendor’s perspective, retaining current customers and facilitating their continued purchase are crucial to create profitability and achieve a sustainable development. An understanding of the continuance intention towards mobile purchase can provide insights into mobile vendors’ marketing campaigns. Therefore, it is important to examine the determinants that impact continuance intentions of consumers for mobile purchase. Drawing upon information success model, flow theory and trust, this study proposed and empirically tested an integrated model to better understand the determinants of consumers’ continued intention to purchase on mobile sites. Empirical data from 462 users who had experience with mobile purchase were tested against the proposed research model by using structural equation modelling (SEM). The results indicated that information quality, and privacy and security concerns are the main factors affecting trust, whereas service quality is the main factor affecting flow. System quality, and privacy and security concerns affect satisfaction. Trust affects flow, which in turn affects satisfaction. These three factors together affect continued intention towards mobile purchase. The findings of this study provide several important implications for mobile commerce research and practice. Individualized positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) combined with recruitment maneuvers improves intraoperative oxygenation in individuals undergoing robot-assisted prostatectomy. However, whether electrical impedance tomography (EIT)-guided individualized PEEP without recruitment maneuvers can also improve intraoperative oxygenation is unknown. To test this, fifty-six male patients undergoing elective robot-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy were randomly assigned to either individualized PEEP (Group PEEPIND, n = 28) or a control with a fixed PEEP of 5 cm H2O (Group PEEP5, n = 28). Individualized PEEP was guided by EIT after placing the patients in the Trendelenburg position and performing intraperitoneal insufflation. Patients in Group PEEPIND maintained individualized PEEP without intermittent recruitment maneuvers, and those in Group PEEP5 maintained a PEEP of 5 cm H2O intraoperatively. Both groups were extubated in a semi-sitting position once the extubation criteria were met. The primary outcome was arterial oxygen partial pressure (PaO2)/inspiratory oxygen fraction (FiO2) prior to extubation. Other outcomes included intraoperative driving pressure, plateau pressure and dynamic, respiratory system compliance, and the incidence of postoperative hypoxemia in the post-operative care unit (PACU). Our results showed that the intraoperative median for PEEPIND was 16 cm H2O (ranging from 12 to 18 cm H2O). EIT-guided PEEPIND was associated with higher PaO2/FiO2 before extubation compared to PEEP5 (71.6 ± 10.7 vs. 56.8 ± 14.1 kPa, p = 0.003). Improved oxygenation extended into the PACU with a lower incidence of postoperative hypoxemia (3.8% vs. 26.9%, p = 0.021). Additionally, PEEPIND was associated with lower driving pressures (12.0 ± 3.0 vs. 15.0 ± 4.4 cm H2O, p = 0.044) and better compliance (44.5 ± 12.8 vs. 33.6 ± 9.1 mL/cm H2O, p = 0.017). Our data indicated that individualized PEEP guided by EIT without intraoperative recruitment maneuvers also improved perioperative oxygenation in patients undergoing robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, which could benefit patients with the risk of intraoperative hemodynamic instability caused by recruitment maneuvers. Due to the scarcity of precious metals, it is urgently desired to develop novel non-precious metal catalysts for ethanol oxidation reactions (EOR) to improve the property of direct ethanol fuel cells (DEFCs), but it is still a huge challenge. Currently, nickel-based catalysts are known as one of the candidates to replace precious metal catalysts. Among them, nickel-based metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been treated as a new platform towards the development of electrocatalysts. Herein, a 2D Ni-MOF 1 was solvothermally synthesised, and combines with carbon dots (CDs) for enhancing the conductivity of MOF 1 to prepare finally MOF 1 -CDs@CC composites. The current density (j) of the optimal MOF 1 -CDs@CC toward EOR is 119 ​mA ​cm−2, which exceed those of the EOR catalysts previously reported. Meanwhile, the optimal MOF 1 -CDs@CC has low Tafel slope (93.9 ​mV dec−1) and high exchange j value (2.06 ​× ​10−5 ​A ​cm−2). The excellent performance of MOF 1 -CDs@CC is mainly ascribed to accelerating EtOH adsorption on the surface of the catalyst and charge transfer after the introduction of CDs. After 10000 ​s durability test, the retention rate of the j value of MOF 1 -CDs@CC is 90% of that (118 ​mA ​cm−2) of the original one, which indicates that MOF 1 -CDs@CC catalyst has good stability. So MOF 1 -CDs@CC is expected to be used as a cost-effective EOR electrocatalyst due to its simple preparation method, excellent activity and stability. MOF 1 -CDs@CC was constructed by the combination of MOF1 and carbon dots, which showed excellent activity and stability for the oxidation of EtOH. Meanwhile, 2D flake Ni(OH) 2 was in-situ coated on the surface of NC1 to prepare Ni(OH) 2 @NC1 composite (NC2). The structural characterization results indicated that NC1 has larger surface area and porosity compared with MOF1, and flake Ni (OH) 2 scales are anchored on the surface of NC1, which are favorable for the penetration of the electrolyte. The electrochemical measurements showed that the specific capacitance (866.8 F g−1) of the NC2-based electrode is more than three times as much as that of NC1-based electrode (264.5 F g−1), and its capacitance retention rate is 97.3% after 1000 cycles, which are mainly attributed to the fact that the pores in NC2 facilitate the diffusion of electrolyte ions, the higher surface area provides more active sites and the synergistic effect of bimetals. Also, an asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC) was fabricated with active carbon as negative electrode, NC2@NF as positive electrode and KOH aqueous solutions (1 M) as electrolyte. The energy density (E) and power density (P) of ASC were 39.7 Wh kg−1 and 213.1 W kg−1 respectively, which is comparable to that of some previously reported ASCs. Profiting from its excellent electroactivity and cyclic stability, NC2-based electrode is expected to have good application prospects in batteries, supercapacitors and other energy storage technologies. A novel paper sensor based on Cd (II) coordination polymers was synthesized by a facile method, and can sensitively and conveniently sense Fe3+ ions in aqueous medium. The design and construction of a sensor that can sensitively and conveniently recognize metal ions are essential for the treatment of industrial wastewater. In this work, {[Cd 4 (HL) 2 (pyp) 2 (H 2 O) 2 ]·2H 2 O·1.5Diox} n (1) was synthesized under solvothermal condition and presented a 2D 3,5-connected layered network with the point symbol of {3.4.5} {32.4.5.62.74}, which was coated on the surface of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) to construct a novel paper sensor (1 @PVDF). Meanwhile, the stability of 1 @PVDF was characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). In addition, fluorescence sensing experiments of 1 @PVDF sensor for cations in aqueous system indicated that it has high sensitivity for sensing Fe3+ ions with the detection limit (DL) of 4.0 × 10−8 M. By the characterization of PXRD, UV–vis spectra, ICP, XPS, time-resolved excited-state decay measurements, the sensing mechanisms of 1 @PVDF for Fe3+ ions were attributed to the competitive absorption and interaction between 1 and Fe3+. And the sensing process of 1 @PVDF for Fe3+ ions was static in the Fe3+ concentration of 0 to 0.05 mM. In addition, the binding energies of Fe3+ and Zn2+ with the framework of 1 were calculated by density functional theory (DFT), which further proved that there was an obvious interaction between Fe3+ and the uncoordinated O atom in 1.
