The continuous use of synthetic insecticides to suppress mosquito larvae has detrimental impacts on the environment and human health. Finding novel and target-specific bio-insecticides has become crucial. Here, the larvicidal and genotoxic activities of different extracts from Ulva lactuca and Turbinaria ornata toward Culex pipiens larvae were investigated. The macroalgae thalli were subjected to various solvent extractions followed by phytochemical quantification, larvicidal testing on C. pipiens larvae, genotoxic evaluation through comet assays, and compound characterization by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. The methylene chloride extract from U. lactuca displayed the highest toxicity with LC50 = 30.99 ppm, followed by the acetone extract from T. ornata, with LC50 = 52.09 ppm after 72 h. U. lactuca exhibited the maximum contents of total alkaloids, total flavonoids, total terpenoids, total phenols, and total tannins with the methanol extract, while the acetone extract from T. ornata exhibited the maximum contents of total alkaloids, total flavonoids, total terpenoids, and total phenols. The methylene chloride extract of U. lactuca and the acetone extract of T. ornata caused significant DNA damage in larva body cells. Thus, the methylene chloride extract from U. lactuca and the acetone extract from T. ornata showed promising potential as environmentally friendly larvicides against C. pipiens larvae. This study investigated the biosynthesis, statistical optimization, characterization, and biocontrol activity of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) produced by newly isolated Trichoderma sp. The Trichoderma asperellum strain TA-3N was identified based on the ITS gene sequence, together with its phenotypic characteristics (GenBank accession number: OM321439). The color change from light yellow to brown after the incubation period indicates AgNPs biosynthesis. The UV spectrum revealed a single peak with the maximum absorption at 453 nm, indicating that T. asperellum produces AgNPs effectively. A Rotatable Central Composite Design (RCCD) was used to optimize the biosynthesis of AgNPs using the aqueous mycelial-free filtrate of T. asperellum. The optimal conditions for maximum AgNPs biosynthesis (156.02 µg/mL) were predicted theoretically using the desirability function tool and verified experimentally. The highest biosynthetic produced AgNPs by T. asperellum reached 160.3 µg/mL using AgNO3 concentration of 2 mM/mL, initial pH level of 6, incubation time of 60 h, and biomass weight of 6 g/100 mL water. SEM and TEM imaging revealed uniform spherical shape particles that varied in size between 8.17 and 17.74 nm. The synthesized AgNPs have a Zeta potential value of −9.51 mV. FTIR analysis provided insights into the surface composition of AgNPs, identifying various functional groups such as N–H, -OH, C-H, C=O, and the amide I bond in proteins. Cytotoxicity and genotoxicity assays demonstrated that AgNPs in combination with T. asperellum can mitigate the toxic effects of Fusarium oxysporum on barley. This intervention markedly enhanced cell division rates and decreased chromosomal irregularities. The results indicate that AgNPs synthesized by T. asperellum show the potential as an eco-friendly and efficient method for controlling plant diseases. Background: The climatic changes crossing the world menace the green life through limitation of water availability. The goal of this study was to determine whether Moringa oleifera Lam. trees cultivated under Tunisian arid climate, retain their tolerance ability to tolerate accentuated environmental stress factors such as drought and salinity. For this reason, the seeds of M. oleifera tree planted in Bouhedma Park (Tunisian arid area), were collected, germinated, and grown in the research area at the National Institute of Research in Rural Engineering, Waters and Forests (INRGREF) of Tunis (Tunisia). The three years aged trees were exposed to four water-holding capacities (25, 50, 75, and 100%) for 60 days to realise this work. Results: Growth change was traduced by the reduction of several biometric parameters and fluorescence (Fv/Fm) under severe water restriction (25 and 50%). Whereas roots presented miraculous development in length face to the decrease of water availability (25 and 50%) in their rhizospheres. The sensitivity to drought-induced membrane damage (Malondialdehyde (MDA) content) and reactive oxygen species (ROS) liberation (hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) content) was highly correlated with ROS antiradical scavenging (ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) and (2, 2'-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyle (DPPH)), phenolic components and osmolytes accumulation. The drought stress tolerance of M. oleifera trees was associated with a dramatic stimulation of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione reductase (GR), ascorbate peroxidase (APX), and glutathione peroxidase (GPX) activities. Human activities all over the world cause many changes in the environment. These changes resulted in more complicated challenges facing all living things on earth. Among these challenges are abiotic stresses, particularly salinity and drought, which contribute to the huge crops yield loss around the world, thereby leading to food insecurity issues. Plants combat these adverse abiotic stress impacts via evolving a variety of physiological, biochemical and molecular mechanisms. Tremendous promising techniques are being used to enhance plant abiotic stress tolerance, including the applications of nanoparticles, which are thought to enhance plant performance under stress conditions. Nanoparticles are being used to deliver nutrients to plants, overcome plant diseases and pathogens and to sense and monitor trace elements present in soil. In this review, a glimpse of how nanoparticles could mitigate the negative impacts of salinity or drought stress on plants at the physiological, biochemical and molecular levels is elucidated and discussed. Understanding the underlying mechanisms of nanoparticles in abiotic stress tolerance will open the doors for further improvements in the yield, production and quality of main crops facing the changing environmental challenges. In this study, the role of selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs, 10 mg·L−1) has been investigated in modulating the negative effects of drought and heat stresses on eight bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) genotype seedlings. Those genotypes included Giza-168, Giza-171, Misr-1, Misr-3, Shandweel-1, Sids-1, Sids-12, and Sids-14. The study included six treatments as follows: regular irrigation with 100% Field Capacity (FC) at a temperature of 23 ± 3 °C (T1), drought stress with 60% FC (T2), heat stress of 38 °C for 5 h·day−1 (T3), foliar spray of 10 mg·L−1 of SeNPs only (T4), a combination of drought stress with foliar spray of 10 mg·L−1 of SeNPs (T5), and heat stress with foliar spray of 10 mg·L−1 of SeNPs (T6). The experiment continued for 31 days. Foliar application of SeNPs improved the plant growth, morpho-physiological and biochemical responses, and expression of stress-responsive genes in wheat (T. aestivum L.) seedlings. Overall, morpho-physiological traits such as plant height (PH), shoot fresh weight (SFW), shoot dry weight (SDW), root fresh weight (RFW), and root dry weight (RDW) of wheat genotypes grown under different conditions ranged from 25.37–51.51 cm, 3.29–5.15 g, 0.50–1.97 g, 0.72–4.21 g, and 0.11–1.23 g, respectively. From the morpho-physiological perspective, drought stress had a greater detrimental impact on wheat plants than heat stress, whereas heat stress significantly impacted the expression of stress-responsive genes. Stress responses to drought and heat varied between wheat genotypes, suggesting that different genotypes are more resilient to stress. Exogenous spraying of 10 mg·L−1 of SeNPs improved the photosynthetic pigments, photosynthetic rate, gas exchange, and transpiration rate of wheat plants and enhanced drought and heat tolerance by increasing the activity of antioxidant enzymes including catalase (CAT), ascorbate peroxidase (APX), and superoxide dismutase (SOD) and the expression level of stress-responsive genes. Our results showed that spraying wheat seedlings with 10 mg·L−1 of SeNPs enhanced SOD activity for all genotypes as compared to the control, with the Sids-12 genotype having the highest value (196.43 U·mg−1 FW·min−1) and the Giza-168 genotype having the lowest (152.30 U·mg−1 FW·min−1). The expression of PIP1, LEA-1, HSP70, and HSP90 stress-responsive genes was more significant in tolerant genotypes (Giza-171 and Giza-168) than in sensitive ones (Misr-1 and Misr-3) in response to drought and heat stresses. Under stress conditions, the shoot and root fresh weights, photosynthetic pigment content, stomatal conductance (SC), and transpiration rate (TR) were positively correlated with plant height (PH), while root and shoot dry weights, malondialdehyde (MDA), proline, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), and APX were negatively correlated. Multivariate analysis and biplot results revealed that genotypes Giza-168, Giza-171, Sids-12, and Sids-14 performed well in both stress situations and were classified as stress-tolerant genotypes. These best genotypes may be employed in future breeding projects as tools to face climate change. This study concluded that various physio-biochemicals and gene expression attributes under drought and heat stress could be modulated by foliar application of SeNPs in wheat genotypes, potentially alleviating the adverse effects of drought and heat stress. Background: Alhagi maurorum Medik. (camelthorn) is a dominant desert plant indigenous in various habitats, including the Western Desert of Egypt. The plant is especially prevalent in and around economic iron ore deposits. Nutrient and heavy metal levels in A. maurorum tissues and soil samples were assessed to identify associations between heavy metal levels in plants and soil. The objective was to evaluate this species as an indicator of heavy metal pollution. Photosynthetic pigments, protein, proline, alkaloids, flavonoids, 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazylscavenging, reduced glutathione, malondialdehyde, antioxidant enzymes, and stress-related gene expression were assessed to determine their functional roles in metal stress adaptation in ultra- and molecular structure. Additionally, the molecular genetic variation in A. maurorum samples was assessed using co-dominant sequence-related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) and inter simple sequence repeats (ISSR). Results: A substantial difference in enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidants of A. maurorum was observed in samples collected from three sites. A. maurorum is suited to the climate in mineralized regions. Morphologically, the stem shows spines, narrow leaves, and a reduced shoot system. Anatomically, modifications included a cuticle coating on leaves and stems, sunken stomata, a compact epidermis, and a thick cortex. Significant anatomical-physiological differences were observed with varying heavy metal soil content, antioxidative enzyme activities increased as a tolerance strategy, and glutathione levels decreased in response to heavy metal toxicity. Heavy metal accumulation also affected the expression of stress-related genes. The highest levels of expression of GST, G6PDH, 6PGD, nitrate reductase 1, and sulfate transporter genes were found in plants collected from site A1. However, auxin-induced protein exhibited its highest expression in plants collected from A2. Six SRAP combinations yielded 25 scoreable markers with a polymorphism rate of 64%, and 5 ISSR markers produced 11 bands with a polymorphism rate of 36.36% for three A. maurorum genotypes. The ME1xEM7 primer combinations provided the most polymorphic information content and resolving power, making it the most useful primer for differentiating A. maurorum genotypes. SRAP markers exhibited a higher diversity index (0.24) than ISSR markers (0.16). Brassica napus (canola), a major economic crop in Egypt, contains much oils and proteins. In the present study, the foliar applications of ammonium sulphate (A.S.) [(NH 4) 2 SO 4 ] (0, 1% 0.2% and 0.3%) to canola plants had distinctive impacts on the morpho-anatomical, biochemical, and molecular genetic responses. Interestingly, there is a positive impact when sulphur (S) is foliarly applied at 0.2% of A.S. as revealed in antioxidants, flavonoids, total carbohydrates, and protein contents which were significantly affected. On the other hand, higher levels of glucosinolates were recorded for 0.3% and 1% A.S. (4.838 and 1.905, respectively). The electrophoretic analysis of proteins displayed 51 bands of molecular weights ranging from 8.555 to 240.6 kDa with 88.24% polymorphism with a mean band frequency of 0.373. Cytotoxicity assay revealed that the lower cell death was detected in treated root tips of canola plants following 0.2% A.S. treatment, as compared to control. With increasing of sulphur treatment, the root cortex thickness, number of conducting elements, and pericycle thickness decreased while root pith area increased. In canola leaves of high S level, the leaf blade thickness, the thickness of abaxial and adaxial epidermis surface, mesophyll thickness, and metaxylem area increased, while the xylem conducting elements number decreased. Moreover, SCoT molecular markers have been used to evaluate the genetic variation among Brassica napus genotypes subjected to different A.S. treatments. Four of the seven SCoT primers were revealed to be polymorphic in both treated and untreated samples. A total of 39 amplicons, ranging in size from 200 to 1080 bp, were amplified, with 9 (23.07%) of them being polymorphic. Clustering dendogram based on SCot markers data divided Brassica genotypes into two main clusters based on similarity coefficients indices. B. napus treated with 0.2% A.S. was separated in a distinct cluster. Furthermore, treatments with sulphur enhanced the activity of antioxidant enzymes as well as the expression level of their encoding genes (CAT , catalase; POD , peroxidase; APX , ascorbate peroxidase; SOD , superoxide dismutase; GR , glutathione reductase), particularly at 1% and 0.2% A.S. treatments. Remediation and mitigation processes can recover the ecosystems affected by mining operations. Zygophyllum coccineum L. is a native indigenous xerophyte that grows in Egypt's Western Desert, particularly around the iron mining ore deposits, and accumulates high rates of potentially toxic elements (PTEs) in its succulent leaves. The present study evaluated the genetic variation and molecular responses of Z. coccineum to heavy metal stressful conditions in three sites. Results revealed that Z. coccineum bioaccumulation capacity was greater than unity and varied amongst the three locations. In response to heavy metal toxicity, Z. coccineum plants boosted their antioxidative enzymes activity and glutathione levels as a tolerance strategy. Anatomically, a compact epidermis, a thick spongy mesophyll with water storage cells, and a thicker vascular system were observed. Protein electrophoretic analysis yielded 20 fragments with a polymorphism rate of 85%. The antioxidant genes (CAT : catalase, POD : peroxidase and GST : polyphenol oxidase) showed greater levels of expression. In addition, DNA-based molecular genetic diversity analyses using Start Codon Targeted (SCoT) and Inter Simple Sequence Repeat (ISSR) markers yielded 54 amplified fragments (i.e. 24 monomorphic and 30 polymorphic), with 12 unique fragments and a polymorphism rate of 55.5%. The greatest PIC values were recorded for SCoT-6 (0.36) and for both of the 14 A and 44 B ISSR primers (0.25). Diversity index (DI) of all SCoT and ISSR amplified primers was 0.23. The current study aimed to scale up the favorable bio-stimulants for enhancing the growth and breeding strategies of Stevia rebaudiana to increase sugar productivity. Inoculation of 45-day-old S. rebaudiana plantlets with Bacillus cereus and Azospirillum brasilense alone or in combination for 30 days allowed comparisons among their effects on enhancement and improvement of plant growth, production of bioactive compounds and expression of steviol glycoside genes. B. cereus SrAM1 isolated from surface-sterilized Stevia rebaudiana leaves was molecularly identified using 16s rRNA and tested for its ability to promote plant growth. Beneficial endophytic B. cereus SrAM1 induced all plant growth-promoting traits, except solubilization of phosphate, therefore it showed high effectiveness in the promotion of growth and production of bioactive compounds. Treatment of plants with B. cereus SrAM1 alone revealed carbohydrates content of 278.99 mg/g, total soluble sugar of 114.17 mg/g, total phenolics content of 34.05 mg gallic acid equivalent (GAE)/g dry weight) and total antioxidants activity of 32.33 mg (A.A)/g dry weight). Thus, plantlets inoculated with B. cereus SrAM1 alone exhibited the greatest responses in physiological and morphological parameters, but plantlets inoculated with B. cereus SrAM1 + A. brasilense showed a maximal upregulation of genes responsible for the biosynthesis of steviol glycosides (Kaurene oxidase, ent-KO ; UDP-dependent glycosyl transferases of UGT85C2 , UGT74G1 , UGT76G1). The exploitation of drought is a critical worldwide challenge that influences wheat growth and productivity. This study aimed to investigate a synergistic amendment strategy for drought using the single and combined application of plant growth-promoting microorganisms (PGPM) (Trichoderma harzianum) and biogenic silica nanoparticles (SiO2NPs) from rice husk ash (RHA) on Saudi Arabia's Spring wheat Summit cultivar (Triticum aestivum L.) for 102 DAS (days after sowing). The significant improvement was due to the application of 600 ppm SiO2NPs and T. harzianum + 600 ppm SiO2NPs, which enhanced the physiological properties of chlorophyll a, carotenoids, total pigments, osmolytes, and antioxidant contents of drought-stressed wheat plants as adaptive strategies. The results suggest that the expression of the studied genes (TaP5CS1, TaZFP34, TaWRKY1, TaMPK3, TaLEA, and the wheat housekeeping gene TaActin) in wheat remarkably enhanced wheat tolerance to drought stress. We discovered that the genes and metabolites involved significantly contributed to defense responses, making them potential targets for assessing drought tolerance levels. The drought tolerance indices of wheat were revealed by the mean productivity (MP), stress sensitivity index (SSI), yield stability index (YSI), and stress tolerance index (STI). We employed four databases, such as BAR, InterPro, phytozome, and the KEGG pathway, to predict and decipher the putative domains in prior gene sequencing. As a result, we discovered that these genes may be involved in a range of important biological functions in specific tissues at different developmental stages, including response to drought stress, proline accumulation, plant growth and development, and defense response. In conclusion, the sole and/or dual T. harzianum application to the wheat cultivar improved drought tolerance strength. Stevia rebaudiana is associated with the production of calorie-free steviol glycosides (SGs) sweetener, receiving worldwide interest as a sugar substitute for people with metabolic disorders. The aim of this investigation is to show the promising role of endophytic bacterial strains isolated from Stevia rebaudiana Egy1 leaves as a biofertilizer integrated with Azospirillum brasilense ATCC 29,145 and gibberellic acid (GA3) to improve another variety of stevia (S. rebaudiana Shou-2) growth, bioactive compound production, expression of SGs involved genes, and stevioside content. Endophytic bacteria isolated from S. rebaudiana Egy1 leaves were molecularly identified and assessed in vitro for plant growth promoting (PGP) traits. Isolated strains Bacillus licheniformis SrAM2, Bacillus paralicheniformis SrAM3 and Bacillus paramycoides SrAM4 with accession numbers MT066091, MW042693 and MT066092, respectively, induced notable variations in the majority of PGP traits production. B. licheniformis SrAM2 revealed the most phytohormones and hydrogen cyanide (HCN) production, while B. paralicheniformis SrAM3 was the most in exopolysaccharides (EPS) and ammonia production 290.96 ± 10.08 mg/l and 88.92 ± 2.96 mg/ml, respectively. Treated plants significantly increased in performance, and the dual treatment T7 (B. paramycoides SrAM4 + A. brasilense) exhibited the highest improvement in shoot and root length by 200% and 146.7%, respectively. On the other hand, T11 (Bacillus cereus SrAM1 + B. licheniformis SrAM2 + B. paralicheniformis SrAM3 + B. paramycoides SrAM4 + A. brasilense + GA3) showed the most elevation in number of leaves, total soluble sugars (TSS), and up-regulation in the expression of the four genes ent-KO, UGT85C2, UGT74G1 and UGT76G1 at 2.7, 3.3, 3.4 and 3.7, respectively. In High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) analysis, stevioside content showed a progressive increase in all tested samples but the maximum was exhibited by dual and co-inoculations at 264.37% and 289.05%, respectively. It has been concluded that the PGP endophytes associated with S. rebaudiana leaves improved growth and SGs production, implying the usability of these strains as prospective tools to improve important crop production individually or in consortium. Climate change-related droughts that recur frequently are one of the biggest obstacles to wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) productivity. Worldwide, attempts are being done to establish drought-resistant cultivars. However, progress is slow since drought tolerance is a complex trait controlled by numerous genes, and its expression is influenced by the environment. Phenotypic, biochemical physiological, and genotyping approaches are highlighted as critical research components for leveraging genetic variation in eight wheat genotypes. Treatments included eight spring wheat genotypes (IPK_040, IPK_046, IPK_050, IPK_071, IPK_105, WAS_007, WAS_024 and WAS_031), normal irrigation (NI), drought stress (D) (30% field capacity (FC)), normal irrigation with 0.5 mM SA (NSA), and drought treated with SA (DSA). The results revealed that there was a reduction in relative water content, an increase membrane leakage, and leaf chlorophyll content under drought stress. SA induced the defense responses against drought by increasing the osmolytes and the antioxidative enzymes activities. Compared to the NI group, the DSA treatment improved the water regulation, antioxidant capacity, and drought stress resistance. SA significantly reduced the deleterious effects of water stress on phenotyping more in WAS_ 024 and IPK_ 105 genotypes. The most responsive genotypes to salicylic acid were IPK_ 046 among the IPK genotypes, whereas WAS_031 genotype was amongst WAS genotypes based on the morpho-physiological traits. This study aimed to test the ability of aqueous leaf extract of Eichhornia crassipes (Mart.) Solms-Laubach to synthesize silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and to estimate the cytotoxicity and genotoxicity of AgNPs using Allium cepa assay. Fresh Eichhornia crassipes plants were collected from the Nile River of Egypt. The mixed-shaped structures of the biogenic AgNPs were qualitatively characterized by UV–vis spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. Selected area electron diffraction confirmed the crystalline structure of AgNPs and energy dispersive X-ray analysis clarified the presence of the elemental silver in a percentage of 83.29%. The biogenic AgNPs were quite stable (0.316) and negatively charged (−18.5 mV) based on the polydispersity index values. Allium cepa L. roots were exposed to several AgNPs concentrations (0, 5, 10, 20, 40 and 80 mg L−1) for different time intervals 2, 4 and 6 h. Cytotoxicity measured by both the spectrophotometric and macroscopic techniques recorded the maximum cell death of root tips of A. cepa after 20 mg L−1 treatment. The analysis of comet assay output images showed an alteration of DNA repair kinetics. The use of aqueous leaf extract of E. crassipes (Mart.) Solms-Laubach in the large-scale production of AgNPs by the method proposed in this study may be a step in improving the water loss in the Nile River. This study explored the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using the extracellular filtrate of Fusarium oxysporum as a reducing agent and evaluated their antitumor potential through in vitro and in silico approaches. The biosynthesis of AgNPs was monitored by visual observation of the color change and confirmed by UV–Vis spectroscopy, revealing a characteristic peak at 418 nm. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analyses showed spherical nanoparticles ranging from 6.53 to 21.84 nm in size, with stable colloidal behavior and a negative zeta potential of −15.5 mV. Selected area electron diffraction (SAED) confirmed the crystalline nature of the AgNPs, whereas energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) indicated the presence of elemental silver at 34.35%. A face-centered central composite design (FCCD) was employed to optimize the biosynthesis process, yielding a maximum AgNPs yield of 96.77 µg/mL under the optimized conditions. The antitumor efficacy of AgNPs against MCF-7 and HepG2 cancer cell lines was assessed, with IC50 values of 35.4 µg/mL and 7.6 µg/mL, respectively. Molecular docking revealed interactions between Ag metal and key amino acids of BCL-2 (B-cell lymphoma-2) and FGF19 (fibroblast growth factor 19), consistent with in vitro data. These findings highlight the potential of biologically derived AgNPs as promising therapeutic agents for cancer treatment and demonstrate the utility of these methods for understanding the reaction mechanisms and optimizing nanomaterial synthesis. Genetic diversity plays an important role in any long term management planning of a species. Mesembryanthemum crystallinum has been naturalized in disturbed regions along the Mediterranean coast competing with native plants. The levels and pattern of the genetic variation within and among its populations along Deltaic Mediterranean coast of Egypt was investigated using random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD). Forty‐two samples representing nine populations of M. crystallinum were collected. The results showed that %PPB values for a single population ranged from 9.14% to 28.91% with an average of 19.76%. The average of Shannon information index (SI), expected heterozygosity (He) and unbiased expected heterozygosity (uHe) values were 0.098, 0.064 and 0.072, respectively. According to AMOVA analysis, 9% of the total genetic structure was attributable to regional divergences and 38% to population differentiation within regions and 53% differences among individuals within populations. Mantel test showed a low correlation (r2= 0.001) between the studied populations. The dendrogram exhibited two clusters of populations which were confirmed by principal coordinate analysis (PCoA). The study concluded that M. crystallinum has lower levels of diversity than other plant species with similar life history characteristics and high genetic differentiation among population. Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is a key food crop, accounting for approximately 765 million tons produced worldwide. The present study evaluated 16 wheat genotypes using 19 morphological and phenological traits, 16 molecular markers (Inter Simple Sequence Repeats and Start Codon Targeted; ISSR and SCoT) and rbcL and matK plastid gene barcoding. The 16 wheat genotypes showed significant genetic variation using the markers assayed. Cell plot of phenological parameters revealed significant differences among the 16-day-old seedlings of wheat genotypes at Z1.1 growth stage. Collectively, W2 genotype had the lowest shoot length (SL), length of first internodes (LFI) and leaf area (LA) values, while W8 genotype had the highest diameter of first internode (DFI) and LA values. Furthermore, W7 genotype had the maximum plant biomass (PB) and leaf width (LW) values. Geometric models grouped wheat kernels into "rounded" and "nearly elongated". Estimates of heritability (H2) for these morphological characters ranged from 4.93 to 100%. The highest H2 values were recorded for root number (RN) (100%) followed by SL (88.72%), LFI (88.30%), LA (87.76%) and Feret diameter (86.68%), while the lowest H2 value was recorded for DFI (4.93%). Furthermore, highly significant genotypic and phenotypic correlations were also observed among those traits. Reproducible fingerprinting profiles and high levels of polymorphism (PPB%) of SCoT (95.46%) and ISSR (82.41%) were recorded, indicating that they are effective tools for detecting genetic variation levels among wheat genotypes. The informativeness of markers were measured through estimation of polymorphic information content (PIC), resolving power (RP) and marker index (MI). The RP and PPB% of SCoT were significantly higher compared to those of ISSR. Comparatively, the two molecular markers were effective for studying genetic diversity among wheat genotypes, but SCoT markers were more informative. Moreover, based on the two chloroplast DNA regions (rbcL and matK), MatK was found to be more reliable for differentiating among T. aestivum genotypes. Taken together, using all the studied attributes, a clear taxonomic relationship can be used to identify T. aestivum species and improve their pragmatic production and development. Stevia rebaudiana is an important medicinal plant which represents the most important sugar substitute in many countries. Poor seed germination of this plant is a critical problem that affects the final yield and the availability of the products in the market. Continuous cropping without supplying soil nutrients is also a serious issue as it results in declining soil fertility. This review highlights the important use of beneficial bacteria for the enhancement of Stevia rebaudiana growth and its dynamic interactions in the phyllosphere, rhizosphere, and endosphere. Fertilizers can increase crop yield and preserve and improve soil fertility. There is a rising concern that prolonged usage of chemical fertilizers may have negative impacts on the ecosystem of the soil. On the other hand, soil health and fertility are improved by plant growth-promoting bacteria which could eventually increase plant growth and productivity. Accordingly, a biocompatible strategy involving beneficial microorganisms inoculation is applied to boost plant growth and reduce the negative effects of chemical fertilizers. Plants benefit extensively from endophytic bacteria, which promote growth and induce resistance to pathogens and stresses. Additionally, several plant growth-promoting bacteria are able to produce amino acids, polyamines, and hormones that can be used as alternatives to chemicals. Therefore, understanding the dynamic interactions between bacteria and Stevia can help make the favorable bacterial bio-formulations, use them more effectively, and apply them to Stevia to improve yield and quality. • Plant growth promoting bacteria (PGPB) can be used an alternative method to enhance stevia growth. • PGPB up regulated the expression of some genes such as ent-KO , UGT85C2 , UGT74G1 and UGT76G1. • Stevioside content was positively correlated with the expression of the steviols glycosides genes.
