This study was developed using Arduino Nano that act as main brain of this system. Together with the android application that was developed use to allowed user to unlock and lock their bicycle easily by tapping the green and red button inside the application. A high security should be applied because this bicycle lock can be hack or stolen by anyone. Therefore, this project has an addition of vibration sensor and alarm to prevent theft from happening. To compare this study with top keyless bicycle company maker is far way to achieved but it is something that is not impossible to do. In this study, the objective that had to develop a keyless way to secure the bicycle lock. The software development of the keyless bicycle lock is to be based on simple yet powerful programming languages such as Arduino coding or Raspberry Pi 3 processor coding. The micro wind turbine leaves are a system that functions as an average wind turbine. Still, the only difference is that these micro wind turbine leaves generate less power for low power applications because they are designed for locations with low wind speed, such as Malaysia's wind speed at 3m/s. These micro wind turbines are small wind turbines with multiple small turbine blades or leaves connected. This study aims to understand the working principle of micro wind turbines and observe the power outcome when low wind speed is present. The design consists of three micro wind turbines connected in a simple configuration to light up multiple LED lights as a load. An industrial fan is used to supply wind for the experiment. Two LED lights were used, one was the green LED, and the other was the white LEDs. The generator is connected to the green LED to show the working principle, and the rechargeable battery is connected to the white LEDs to show the effects when no wind supply is present. The micro wind generator produced about 0.09 W. A total of three generators produced about 0.27 W to be supplied to the green LED. The rechargeable battery discharged about 14.4 W for the white LED light. This wind turbine concept lighted up the green LED to show the multiple connection functions, and when there is no wind present, the white LED will still be turned on due to the rechargeable battery. The rechargeable battery functions as a storage system to store power when the wind is supplied. The results show that the micro wind turbines function properly by lighting up the green and white LED. Hence, this proves that the multiple connection micro wind turbines are possible to work at low wind speeds and can only produce a sufficient amount of power used in certain appliances. This paper evaluates the effectiveness of the visual aid design (UI20190059) intended to help monocular vision impaired patients. The primary objectives of this visual aid are to increase the field of vision and provide a depth perception for the user to help distinguish depth in their vision. Two types of tests were conducted on the visual aid with respondents, the field of vision test and the depth perception test. Based on the visual field measurement test, the visual aid has improved the respondents' visual field, ranging from 132 to 176 degrees. Furthermore, from the depth perception test, all respondents could identify the objects correctly with the help of the visual aid. Thus, the visual aid design was proven to offer the respondents visual improvement. The design, however, may need to undergo more clinical trials before actual patients can fully use it. The automated sprinkler system is developed to reduce human effort to water their plant in their backyard. The objectives of the project is to design, develop and analyse the water sprinkler system. The water sprinkler head was designed in solid works. The created design is then optimised using ANSYS FLUENT which the outlet of the water sprinkler head varies. The velocity and pressure is observed from the simulation through ANSYS FLUENT. Based on the result found that 1mm diameter outlet has highest velocity 2.07 m/s and highest pressure 105.64 Pa. The fabricated prototype then tested with developed automated system in UNITEN. Natural fibre composite (NFC) displays a rapid development in the study and innovation sector due to the increasing benefits of the material compared to other types of fibre such as synthetic fibre composites, which includes low price and low environmental impacts. These composites can be explored through various variables and can be tested through various factors such as fibre interfacial adhesion, fibre orientation and fibre strength. However, this thesis focuses only on the testing on the vertical (90°) and horizontal (0°) of fibre orientation as it is still not well investigated, yet. The main objective of this research is to investigate the performance of mechanical properties of kenaf fibre reinforced epoxy resins for 90° and 0° of fibre orientation and analyse the effect of changing the orientation on the material. For the fabrication of the material, manual preparation method has been used and several mechanical testing has been and alkali treatment of kenaf fibre prior fabrication process. For hardness test, the 90° of fibre orientation produced 31.6% higher of hardness strength than 0° of fibre orientation while for impact test, 90° of fibre orientation resulted 39.5% greater of impact energy than 0° of fibre orientation. 6% of kenaf fibre composition with 90° of fibre orientation generated the highest stress to breaks while 2% of kenaf fibre composition with 0° of fibre orientation has the lowest stress to fracture. By conducting the SEM tests, it can be seen clearly that 6% of kenaf fibre composition with 90° of fibre orientation has the smallest gap between the fibres and 2% of kenaf fibre composition with 0° of fibre orientation has the largest gap between fibres. Thus, the performance of mechanical of vertical (90°) of fibre orientation produced better performance in mechanical testing compared to horizontal (0°) of fibre orientation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In the past decades, the extensive studies had been accomplished on the natural fibre reinforced polymer composites (NFPC) and are still continuous until today. The composites made of natural fibre and polymer has proven the better effectiveness in high impact fatigue strength and toughness. The increases of fibre loading give higher results fundamental in strength due to its high interfacial bonding between the fibre. In the present work, experimental tests were carried out to study the mechanical properties; tensile, hardness and impact and morphological characterization: Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) of the NFPC. The composites fabricated are between the Kenaf fibre and epoxy resin. The Kenaf fibre reinforced epoxy resin composites were fabricated using hand layup technique by layering the arranged fibre with polymer in the mould with different angle orientation (22.5° and 67.5°) as the main parameter observed and the fibre composition (2%, 4% and 6%). Natural fibre composition is one of the excellent alternative for the most extensively utilized fibre in the composite revolution such as covers; vehicle door’s panel and automobile roofs. Renewable, low cost and also decomposable (biodegradable) are some of benefits natural fibre composites. In latest years, a lot of researchers involved in natural fibre project to reinforced polymer. This study was done using kenaf fibres and polyurethane (PU) as the polymer. Composites have been organized the usage of the three unique percentages of composites 2%, 4% and 6% of kenaf fibre. The hardened composites were cured for 24 hours earlier than it was once shaped in accordance to precise dimensions. Mechanical tests were performed on the samples to study the behavior. In addition, the morphology of the materials were observed using scanning electron microscope (SEM) Result found that the 6% of kenaf fibre has the highest hardness value, tensile as well as impact strength. The purpose of this paper is to present examples of independent water and wastewater treatment methods in a way to provide clean water to the community. Out there, tons of method exists to reduce the effect of the water pollutant and improve the water quality problems. In order to reduce the water problems, this paper focuses on the process of water and wastewater treatment by using three different methods which are natural and independent water and wastewater treatment, independent artificial water, and wastewater treatment and hybrid water and wastewater treatment. Natural independent method mostly using vegetation as a medium or mechanism to purify water. For the hybrid method, green energy artificial floating island(GAFI), solar power artificial floating Island (SAFI) and solar power lake and pond aeration system were studied the removal efficiency by all the devices. Solar Powered Water Treatment Device (SWAD) is an effective and affordable water treatment device using low-cost treatment materials to treat stagnant water bodies such as lakes and ponds. SWAD is an environmental friendly device as it does not attached to any power source. The objective of this project is to design and develop 3D SWAD using 3D CAD software. Other than that, the objective is to simulate and model the water flow, spatial distribution of velocity and pressure of SWAD by Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD). CFD analysis was used to capture the efficiency of the SWAD by simulate and model the water flows, pressure and velocity. Based on the results, the maximum velocity magnitude was 2.57m/s at outlet of pipe. The velocity contour demonstrated has high speed at the pipe outlet. The pressure magnitude was in between 9246 Pa to 2609 Pa. The results of water quality parameters has proved that the water development and the direction of water flow of the SWAD can remove the pollutant efficiently. The solar powered water treatment device (SWAD) is an effective and affordable water treatment device using low-cost treatment materials to treat stagnant water bodies such as lakes and ponds. SWAD was designed to operate independently without being attached or relying on other machinery. Its floating features enabled SWAD to be station independently according to suitable water sections that need to be treated. This device used absorption and adsorption capacity of the activated carbon to remove pollutants as treatment element. Turbidity, colour, total suspended solid (TSS) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) were used as removal parameters in this study. Based on 48 hours of treatment the turbidity result shows about 95% removal efficiency. TSS result showed about 96% of TSS removal. The color result showed decreasing in number from 646 pt-co to 15pt-co after 48 hours of treatment. Lastly, Chemical oxygen demand (low range) shows from 173 mg/l to 7.5 mg/l for reading and the removal percentage for COD was 96% . The SWAD was successful designed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The purposes of this study are to investigate the thermal conductivity and the specific heat capacity improvement of water using SiC nanoparticles and also to evaluate the effects on heat transfer performance when using two different mass concentrations of SiC powder and heating powers that range from 20 W to 60 W. The experiment is carried out using a Loop Heat Pipe (LHP) experimental setup. The size of SiC nanoparticles used is approximately 169 nm. The results show that the thermal conductivity and the specific heat capacity of the nanofluid are slightly higher than those of distilled water at a same heat input. For a given heat input, the thermal conductivity is found to increase with the addition of the SiC nanoparticle mass concentration. The thermal conductivity also depends on the heat input. For 0.3% SiC mass concentration the thermal conductivity is improved up by 10.5%, 19.7% 56.6% at 20 W, 40 W and 60 W, respectively. For 1.0% mass concentration, the conductivity has improved by 16.2%, 20.7% and 64.9% at heating powers of 20 W, 40 W and 60 W. The specific heat capacity is also improved when the mass concentration of SiC is increased, improving it from 0.95 J/kgK (distilled water) to 3.89 J/kgK (0.3% SiC) and 3.91 J/kgK (1.0% SiC). Transportation is one of a major contributor in emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) gases. Citizens in Malaysia mostly prefer to drive their own private vehicle as Malaysia has gained an advance urbanization since 1990s. Providing bicycle facilities is crucial in order to encourage people to use bicycle as their mode of transportation. Even though some universities have already implemented the bicycle initiatives and provided the facilities to their students, there is no wellestablished guideline in Malaysia for bicycle facilities. Therefore, the main objective of this study was to assess the existing bicycle facilities based on established guidelines from developed countries and standards used in designing the existing facilities. Two universities from public and private university were selected for the physical assessment. A physical assessment was done by using developed scoring system which based on requirements stated in the guidelines. The finding shows that University A get good in overall score which is 74.71% while University B acquired moderate in overall score which is 50.08%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study will focus on finding the best parameters for shot peening process on aluminium alloy 2024-T351. The main parameters of shot peening process is shot material, velocity, number of impact and also the angle. Strain and work hardening is allowed on the target material. The simulation method was performed using ABAQUS 6.11. Simulation was run by applying shots on the aluminum alloy with variable velocity, number of impact as well as the angle of impact. Result shows that by increasing the velocity and the number of impact, the compressive residual stress will significantly increase.
