- Abstract
The mucormicosis is an entity mentioned many years ago, in which the etiology may be oportunistic, it is commonly described in people, whit a certain degree of immunocompromised. Mucormicosis is not usually recognized as a life-threatening pathology in a patient therefore more diffusion of information about it is necessary. Objective: To expose a case of mucormicosis of an active military patient with no history of previous pathology and trauma that required management in the AICU (Adult Intensive Care Unit). Design: A case report and literature review. Location: Adult Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital Central Militar Patient: Young male patient in which a trauma was performed and required treatment at UCI. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
