Titanate photocatalysts with suitable cocatalysts are promising candidates for photocatalytic CO2 reduction, with the use of water as an electron donor. Here, several barium titanates with various compositions were examined, and BaTi4O9 (BT4) was found to be the best photocatalyst with the assistance of an Ag cocatalyst for photocatalytic CO2 reduction to form CO. The photocatalytic activity was further enhanced by the use of MnOx as an additional cocatalyst to construct an Ag-MnOx/BT4 photocatalyst, where Ag and MnOx were selectively deposited at different facets on BT4 crystal and functioned as active sites for CO2 reduction and water oxidation, respectively. Heat treatments after cold rolling for TiNiFe shape-memory alloys have been compared. After EBSD analysis and as calculated by the Avrami model and Arrhenius equation, the relationship between the heat-treatment temperature and manufacturing time of TiNiFe alloys is established. Through calculation, it can be found that TiNiFe alloys can obtain similar microstructures under the annealing processes of 823 K for 776 min, 827 K for 37 min, and 923 K for 12.5 min. And the recrystallization fractions are all around 50%. Nevertheless, the tensile properties and recovery stress of the alloys show almost similar values. And based on the feasibility of the annealing process, it is believed that annealing at 873 K for 37 min is the optimal choice to obtain a recrystallization fraction φR = 50%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Team creativity is increasingly important to organizations, and the enhancement of creativity has become a key management challenge. Feedback is a very important management tool in the creativity enhancement process. Its use to enhance team creativity raises an important question, namely if positive or negative feedback valence affects team creativity. This is particularly important because researchers still only have a limited understanding of this impact. Methods: This study adopts an experimental research method to explore the influence mechanism of feedback valence on team creativity. One hundred seven teams and 379 college students participated in experiments that lasted for a total of 1600 minutes. Results: It is found that feedback valence positively affects team creativity and confirmed that positive feedback (relative to negative feedback) is more conducive to team creativity. Team relationship conflict is also found to mediate the relationship between feedback valence and team creativity. Positive feedback helps to reduce team relationship conflict, which (indirectly) positively affects team creativity; negative feedback increases team relationship conflict, which (indirectly) negatively affects team creativity. Meanwhile, creative time pressure moderates the relationship between: 1) feedback valence and team creativity; and 2) feedback valence and team relationship conflict. Discussion: The research results do not just enrich theoretical research (into feedback valence, team relationship conflict, creative time pressure and team creativity), as they also provide valuable inspiration to managers seeking to improve team creativity in management practice. Digital twins are digital models that operate within the digital space to perform specific functions. It can positively impact the physical counterpart in terms of improved efficiency, reduced costs, increased safety, and reliability. However, most existing research has limited digital twins to a single digital twin model, and the inherent characteristics and practical applications of single digital twin models make it challenging to fully utilize their advantages in complex and dynamic environments. Therefore, this paper proposes the concept of a multi-digital twin (MDT), as well as its synergistic operation mechanism, and designs two specific implementation methods suitable for processing time series-related tasks: the single metric dynamic preference method and the multi-metrics dynamic fusion method both based on a time window. Then, the results of two experiments show that the average relative improvement of two methods in the MAE, RMSE, and R2 metrics were 7.83 %, 5.01 %, and 1.24 % in 2015, and 4.98 %, 2 %, and 0.29 % in 2017. This means that the proposed methods can improve the accuracy of wind power forecasting. Warming can accelerate the decomposition of soil organic matter and stimulate the release of soil greenhouse gases (GHGs), but to what extent soil release of methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) may contribute to soil C loss for driving climate change under warming remains unresolved. By synthesizing 1,845 measurements from 164 peer‐reviewed publications, we show that around 1.5°C (1.16–2.01°C) of experimental warming significantly stimulates soil respiration by 12.9%, N2O emissions by 35.2%, CH4 emissions by 23.4% from rice paddies, and by 37.5% from natural wetlands. Rising temperature increases CH4 uptake of upland soils by 13.8%. Warming‐enhanced emission of soil CH4 and N2O corresponds to an overall source strength of 1.19, 1.84, and 3.12 Pg CO2‐equivalent/year under 1°C, 1.5°C, and 2°C warming scenarios, respectively, interacting with soil C loss of 1.60 Pg CO2/year in terms of contribution to climate change. The warming‐induced rise in soil CH4 and N2O emissions (1.84 Pg CO2‐equivalent/year) could reduce mitigation potential of terrestrial net ecosystem production by 8.3% (NEP, 22.25 Pg CO2/year) under warming. Soil respiration and CH4 release are intensified following the mean warming threshold of 1.5°C scenario, as compared to soil CH4 uptake and N2O release with a reduced and less positive response, respectively. Soil C loss increases to a larger extent under soil warming than under canopy air warming. Warming‐raised emission of soil GHG increases with the intensity of temperature rise but decreases with the extension of experimental duration. This synthesis takes the lead to quantify the ecosystem C and N cycling in response to warming and advances our capacity to predict terrestrial feedback to climate change under projected warming scenarios. Graph neural networks (GNNs) have shown significant success in graph representation learning. However, the performance of existing GNNs degrades seriously when their layers deepen due to the over-smoothing issue. The node embedding incline converges to a certain value when GNNs repeat, aggregating the representations of the receptive field. The main reason for over-smoothing is that the receptive field of each node tends to be similar as the layers increase, which leads to different nodes aggregating similar information. To solve this problem, we propose an adaptive multi-channel deep graph neural network (AMD-GNN) to adaptively and symmetrically aggregate information from the deep receptive field. The proposed model ensures that the receptive field of each node in the deep layer is different so that the node representations are distinguishable. Employees’ feedback-seeking behavior is an important way to develop and maintain self-awareness and interpersonal acuity, reduce uncertainty, boost creativity and improve innovative behavior and performance. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, working from home has become the new normal, supervisor feedback and employees feedback-seeking has an increasingly important impact on team creativity and team innovation performance.In the practice of organizational management, there is frequently a “feedback vacuum” between managers and employees. There is increasing research on feedback-seeking behavior in the field of OBHRM. This paper is the first to evaluate the impact of work meaning and positive attributions on workers’ feedback-seeking behavior, and the cross-level effects of supervisor development feedback including variable valence. The paper analyzes supervisor-employee paired data from 158 supervisors and 659 employees using multi-source, multi-temporal data to draw the following conclusions: (1) Positive supervisor development feedback has a significant cross-level positive effect on employee feedback-seeking behavior, whereas negative supervisor development feedback does not affect employee feedback-seeking behavior; (2) Work meaningfulness mediates the cross-level relationship between positive supervisor development feedback and employees’ feedback-seeking behaviors, whereas negative supervisor development feedback and employees’ feedback-seeking behaviors do not; (3) Positive attributions positively moderate the relationship between positive supervisor development feedback and work meaningfulness; while positively moderating the relationship between negative supervisor development feedback and work meaningfulness; (4) Positive attributions have a moderating effect on supervisor development feedback that influences the indirect relationship to feedback-seeking behavior by work meaningfulness. Abstract: The net balance of greenhouse gas (GHG) exchanges between terrestrial ecosystems and the atmosphere under elevated atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) remains poorly understood. Here, we synthesise 1655 measurements from 169 published studies to assess GHGs budget of terrestrial ecosystems under elevated CO2. We show that elevated CO2 significantly stimulates plant C pool (NPP) by 20%, soil CO2 fluxes by 24%, and methane (CH4) fluxes by 34% from rice paddies and by 12% from natural wetlands, while it slightly decreases CH4 uptake of upland soils by 3.8%. Elevated CO2 causes insignificant increases in soil nitrous oxide (N2O) fluxes (4.6%), soil organic C (4.3%) and N (3.6%) pools. The elevated CO2‐induced increase in GHG emissions may decline with CO2 enrichment levels. An elevated CO2‐induced rise in soil CH4 and N2O emissions (2.76 Pg CO2‐equivalent year−1) could negate soil C enrichment (2.42 Pg CO2 year−1) or reduce mitigation potential of terrestrial net ecosystem production by as much as 69% (NEP, 3.99 Pg CO2 year−1) under elevated CO2. Our analysis highlights that the capacity of terrestrial ecosystems to act as a sink to slow climate warming under elevated CO2 might have been largely offset by its induced increases in soil GHGs source strength. Mercury pollution in fields has become a potential threat to human health. Planting wheat cultivars with low mercury accumulation in slight or medium mercury-polluted fields is an efficient solution to ensure food safety. Therefore, this study evaluated the mercury resistance and accumulation characteristics of 30 generalized wheat cultivars in major wheat-producing areas of China. A modified membership function that considers the weight of each trait was used. Results demonstrated that the plant height of wheat significantly increased under both low mercury and high mercury stresses. The uppermost internode length significantly increased while the spikelet number significantly decreased under low mercury stress. Yield-related traits, including total grain number, fresh grain yield, and dry grain yield, significantly decreased under high mercury stress. The mercury concentrations in wheat grains presented a significant negative correlation with the mercury resistance coefficients of plant height (−0.38*), spike length (−0.39*), and fresh grain yield (−0.38*) under high mercury stress. The heritability of all traits reached medium to high levels, ranging from 0.31 to 0.68. This finding suggested that the investigated traits are stable and suitable for the assessment system. Selection criteria for wheat mercury resistance were established using discriminant analysis, which integrated the mercury resistance coefficients of effective tiller number, fresh grain yield, and dry biomass into the discriminant function under low mercury stress and the mercury resistance coefficients of dry grain yield and dry biomass under high mercury stress. Ultimately, Liangxing-99, Nongda-3163, and Gaocheng-8901 were screened for high mercury resistance and low mercury accumulation. Soils are among the important sources of atmospheric nitric oxide ( NO) and nitrous oxide (N2O), acting as a critical role in atmospheric chemistry. Updated data derived from 114 peer-reviewed publications with 520 field measurements were synthesized using meta-analysis procedure to examine the N fertilizer-induced soil NO and the combined NO+N2O emissions across global soils. Besides factors identified in earlier reviews, additional factors responsible for NO fluxes were fertilizer type, soil C/N ratio, crop residue incorporation, tillage, atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration, drought and biomass burning. When averaged across all measurements, soil NO-N fluxes were estimated to be 4.06 kg ha−1 yr−1, with the greatest (9.75 kg ha−1 yr−1) in vegetable croplands and the lowest (0.11 kg ha−1 yr−1) in rice paddies. Soil NO emissions were more enhanced by synthetic N fertilizer (+38%), relative to organic (+20%) or mixed N (+18%) sources. Compared with synthetic N fertilizer alone, synthetic N fertilizer combined with nitrification inhibitors substantially reduced soil NO emissions by 81%. The global mean direct emission factors of N fertilizer for NO ( EFNO) and combined NO+N2O ( EFc) were estimated to be 1.16% and 2.58%, with 95% confidence intervals of 0.71-1.61% and 1.81-3.35%, respectively. Forests had the greatest EFNO (2.39%). Within the croplands, the EFNO (1.71%) and EFc (4.13%) were the greatest in vegetable cropping fields. Among different chemical N fertilizer varieties, ammonium nitrate had the greatest EFNO (2.93%) and EFc (5.97%). Some options such as organic instead of synthetic N fertilizer, decreasing N fertilizer input rate, nitrification inhibitor and low irrigation frequency could be adopted to mitigate soil NO emissions. More field measurements over multiyears are highly needed to minimize the estimate uncertainties and mitigate soil NO emissions, particularly in forests and vegetable croplands. Biochar as a carbon-rich coproduct of pyrolyzing biomass, its amendment has been advocated as a potential strategy to soil carbon (C) sequestration. Updated data derived from 50 papers with 395 paired observations were reviewed using meta-analysis procedures to examine responses of soil carbon dioxide (CO2) fluxes, soil organic C (SOC), and soil microbial biomass C (MBC) contents to biochar amendment. When averaged across all studies, biochar amendment had no significant effect on soil CO2 fluxes, but it significantly enhanced SOC content by 40% and MBC content by 18%. A positive response of soil CO2 fluxes to biochar amendment was found in rice paddies, laboratory incubation studies, soils without vegetation, and unfertilized soils. Biochar amendment significantly increased soil MBC content in field studies, N-fertilized soils, and soils with vegetation. Enhancement of SOC content following biochar amendment was the greatest in rice paddies among different land-use types. Responses of soil CO2 fluxes and MBC to biochar amendment varied with soil texture and pH. The use of biochar in combination with synthetic N fertilizer and waste compost fertilizer led to the greatest increases in soil CO2 fluxes and MBC content, respectively. Both soil CO2 fluxes and MBC responses to biochar amendment decreased with biochar application rate, pyrolysis temperature, or C/N ratio of biochar, while each increased SOC content enhancement. Among different biochar feedstock sources, positive responses of soil CO2 fluxes and MBC were the highest for manure and crop residue feedstock sources, respectively. Soil CO2 flux responses to biochar amendment decreased with pH of biochar, while biochars with pH of 8.1-9.0 had the greatest enhancement of SOC and MBC contents. Therefore, soil properties, land-use type, agricultural practice, and biochar characteristics should be taken into account to assess the practical potential of biochar for mitigating climate change. This paper presents design, analysis, fabrication, and measurement of airflow sensors with three hot-wire resistors on an out-of-plane glass bubble. The fabrication process is based on etching cavities in silicon wafer, followed by anodic bonding of a thin Pyrex glass wafer to the etched silicon wafer. The bonded wafers are then heated inside a furnace at a temperature above the softening point of the glass, and because of the expansion of the trapped gas in the silicon cavities, the glass is blown into three-dimensional (3-D) spherical glass bubbles. Resistors patterned on the glass wafer above the cavities are elevated above the base during the glass bubble blowing process. A full accounting of net greenhouse gas balance ( NGHGB) and greenhouse gas intensity ( GHGI) was examined in an annual coastal reclaimed saline Jerusalem artichoke-fallow cropping system under various soil practices including soil tillage, soil ameliorant, and crop residue amendments. Seasonal fluxes of soil carbon dioxide ( CO2), methane ( CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O) were measured using static chamber method, and the net ecosystem exchange of CO2 ( NEE) was determined by the difference between soil heterotrophic respiration ( RH) and net primary production ( NPP). Relative to no-tillage, rotary tillage significantly decreased the NPP of Jerusalem artichoke while it had no significant effects on the annual RH. Rotary tillage increased CH4 emissions, while seasonal or annual soil N2O emissions did not statistically differ between the two tillage treatments. Compared with the control plots, soil ameliorant or straw amendment enhanced RH, soil CH4, and N2O emissions under the both tillage regimes. Annual NGHGB was negative for all the field treatments, as a consequence of net ecosystem CO2 sequestration exceeding the CO2-equivalents released as CH4 and N2O emissions, which indicates that Jerusalem artichoke-fallow cropping system served as a net sink of GHGs. The annual net NGHGB and GHGI were estimated to be 11-21% and 4-8% lower in the NT than in RT cropping systems, respectively. Soil ameliorant and straw amendments greatly increased NPP and thus significantly decreased the negative annual net NGHGB. Overall, higher NPP but lower climatic impacts of coastal saline bioenergy production would be simultaneously achieved by Jerusalem artichoke cultivation under no-tillage with improved saline soil conditions in southeast China. Since its first development some 40 years ago, the application of the somatic hybridization technique has generated a body of hybrid plant material involving a wide combination of parental species. Until the late 1990s, the technique was ineffective in wheat, as regeneration from protoplasts was proving difficult to achieve. Since this time, however, a successful somatic hybridization protocol for wheat has been established and used to generate a substantial number of both symmetric and asymmetric somatic hybrids and derived materials, especially involving the parental combination bread wheat and tall wheatgrass ( Thinopyrum ponticum). Plant growth inhibition is a common response to salinity. Under saline conditions, Shanrong No. 3 (SR3), a bread wheat (Triticum aestivum) introgression line, performs better than its parent wheat variety Jinan 177 (JN177) with respect to both seedling growth and abiotic stress tolerance. Furthermore, the endogenous reactive oxygen species (ROS) was also elevated in SR3 relative to JN177. The SR3 allele of sro1 , a gene encoding a poly(ADP ribose) polymerase (PARP) domain protein, was identified to be crucial for both aspects of its superior performance. Unlike RADICAL-INDUCED CELL DEATH1 and other Arabidopsis thaliana SIMILAR TO RCD-ONE (SRO) proteins, sro1 has PARP activity. Both the overexpression of Ta- sro1 in wheat and its heterologous expression in Arabidopsis promote the accumulation of ROS , mainly by enhancing the activity of NADPH oxidase and the expression of NAD(P)H dehydrogenase, in conjunction with the suppression of alternative oxidase expression. Moreover, it promotes the activity of ascorbate-GSH cycle enzymes and GSH peroxidase cycle enzymes, which regulate ROS content and cellular redox homeostasis. sro1 is also found to be involved in the maintenance of genomic integrity. We show here that the wheat SRO has PARP activity; such activity could be manipulated to improve the growth of seedlings exposed to salinity stress by modulating redox homeostasis and maintaining genomic stability. Background and aims: The rice production is experiencing a shift from conventionally seedling-transplanted (TPR) to direct-seeded (DSR) cropping systems in Southeast Asia. Besides the difference in rice crop establishment, water regime is typically characterized as water-saving moist irrigation for DSR and flooding-midseason drainage-reflooding and moist irrigation for TPR fields, respectively. A field experiment was conducted to quantify methane (CH) and nitrous oxide (NO) emissions from the DSR and TPR rice paddies in southeast China. Methods: Seasonal measurements of CH and NO fluxes from the DSR and TPR plots were simultaneously taken by static chamber-GC technique. Results: Seasonal fluxes of CH averaged 1.58 mg m h and 1.02 mg m h across treatments in TPR and DSR rice paddies, respectively. Compared with TPR cropping systems, seasonal NO emissions from DSR cropping systems were increased by 49 % and 46 % for the plots with or without N application, respectively. The emission factors of NO were estimated to be 0.45 % and 0.69 % of N application, with a background emission of 0.65 and 0.95 kg NO-N ha under the TPR and DSR cropping regimes, respectively. Rice biomass and grain yield were significantly greater in the DSR than in the TPR cropping systems. The net global warming potential (GWP) of CH and NO emissions were comparable between the two cropping systems, while the greenhouse gas intensity (GHGI) was significantly lower in the DSR than in the TPR cropping systems. Conclusions: Higher grain yield, comparable GWP, and lower GHGI suggest that the DSR instead of conventional TPR rice cropping regime would weaken the radiative forcing of rice production in terms of per unit of rice grain yield in China, and DSR rice cropping regime could be a promising rice development alternative in mainland China. WRKY proteins constitute a large family of transcription factors in higher plants, and are involved in the regulation of development, senescence and stress resistance. However, little is known with respect to the constitution and function of WRKY genes in bread wheat ( Triticum aestivum). We identified a set of 92 wheat WRKY genes from publicly available sequence databases, and constructed a phylogeny map based on the conserved WRKY domain peptide sequences. The wheat sequences were classified into the standard set of WRKY groups and sub-groups established from plant model genomes. Our results show the WRKY orthologues of wheat and rice are more similar compared to their Arabidopsis counterparts. Therefore, we argue some expansion of the WRKY family occurred following the divergence of these three species. The induction of sequence variation in a subset of 18 TaWRKY genes via somatic hybridization was studied by comparing the sequences from cv. JN177 and its derivative cv. SR3. We also analyzed the responses of these 18 genes to imposed salinity, PEG, ABA and SA using quantitative real time PCR. Nine of the 18 TaWRKY genes were up-regulated by exogenous SA. Six genes were up-regulated by salinity or PEG treatment, and their expression was also induced by exogenous ABA. Interestingly, induction by salinity or PEG was impaired when ABA biosynthesis was inhibited. Objective: The computerized freezing milling technique is derived from the virtual human project. It has been widely used in three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction of the human body and organs. With this technique, the study was undertaken to explore the 3D features and adjacent anatomic relationships of the sellar region for skull base surgery. Methods: Continuous thin sections on the coronary plane were performed with the computerized freezing milling technique using a human head specimen. The related structures were described in six sections. After segmenting, labeling, and extracting in serial sections, the 3D reconstruction of the sellar region was finished with Amira 4.1 software. Results: A total of 390 thin coronary sections were obtained. In six sections, the anatomic relationships of the pituitary gland, carotid artery, sphenoid sinus, and nerves are displayed. Three-dimensional images of the sellar region are video films that continuously and dynamically display anatomic structures in 3D space at different velocities. It can show that the cavernous segment of the internal carotid artery is located anterolateral to the sphenoid sinus and lateral to the pituitary gland. The optic nerve protrudes into the superolateral portion of the sphenoid sinus. Conclusions: The combination of coronary sectional anatomy and 3D reconstruction can display the anatomic characteristics of the sellar region. Abstract: Measurements of methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) fluxes have been extensively taken following rice seedlings transplanted into paddy fields, while little is known about CH4 and N2O fluxes from rice seedling nurseries. Fluxes of CH4 and N2O were simultaneously measured in rice seedling nurseries under the water regimes of continuous flooding and moist irrigation without waterlogging in Southeast China in 2010. Fluxes of CH4 and N2O from continuously flooded nurseries averaged 10.33–14.84mgm−2 h−1 and 28.64–34.35μg N2O–Nm−2 h−1 for the different fertilizer applied plots, respectively. Relative to continuous flooding, moist irrigation decreased total CH4 by 14–50% but increased N2O by 72–186%, dependent on the fertilizer types. Compared with inorganic N fertilizer, organic manure application increased CH4 by 44% and 148% in the continuously flooded and moist irrigation nurseries, respectively. Rice seedling growth parameters were the greatest in moist irrigation nurseries with inorganic N fertilizer application. Moist irrigation instead of continuous waterlogging and shifts from organic manure to combined organic/inorganic N fertilizer inputs have been increasingly experienced in Chinese rice seedling nurseries, which would benefit for mitigating the combined global warming potentials of CH4 and N2O from rice seedling nurseries in China. Introduction: The purpose of this study is to show the condition of laminar organization on 3.0T and 7.0T postmortem magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and analyze developmental changes. Methods: Heads of 131 fetal specimens of 14-40 weeks gestational age (GA) were scanned by 3.0T MRI. Eleven fetal specimens of 14-27 weeks GA were scanned by 7.0T MRI. Clear images were chosen for analysis. Results: On T-weighted 3.0T MRI, layers could be visualized at 14 weeks GA and appeared clearer after 18 weeks GA. On 7.0T MRI, four zones could be recognized at 14 weeks GA. During 15-22 weeks GA, when laminar organization appeared typical, seven layers including the periventricular zone and external capsule fibers could be differentiated, which corresponded to seven zones in histological stained sections. At 23-28 weeks GA, laminar organization appeared less typical, and borderlines among them appeared obscured. After 30 weeks GA, it disappeared and turned into mature-like structures. The developing lamination appeared the most distinguishable at the parieto-occipital part of brain and peripheral regions of the hippocampus. The migrating thalamocortical afferents were probably delineated as a high signal layer located at the lower, middle, and upper part of the subplate zone at 16-28 weeks GA on T-weighted 3.0T MRI. Conclusions: T-weighted 3.0T MRI and T-weighted 7.0T MRI can well demonstrate the laminar organization. Development of the lamination follows a specific spatio-temporal regularity, and postmortem MRI of the parieto-occipital part of brain obtained with 3.0T or 7.0T is an effective way to show developmental changes. Abstract: We reported a highly efficient white organic light-emitting diode (WOLED) with a multilayer emission region made of sequentially evaporated host and guest layers. The singlet and triplet excitons were harvested in two separate channels. An external quantum efficiency of 16.3% photons/electron (∼41cd/A) was achieved with a good color rendering index (CRI) of 76, and a Commission Internationale de l’éclairage (CIE) coordinate of (x =0.38, y =0.46). At brightness of 100 and 500cd/m2, the external quantum efficiencies reached 11% and 10%, respectively. The performance of the WOLED is better than that fabricated by co-evaporation method due to an improved exciton capture and emission efficiencies. Abstract: Quantitative data of fetal cortical folding and its developmental changes supply important information in the estimation of fetal age and assessment of brain maturation, so the increasing tendencies of cortical growth and its folding conditions at the beginning of the second and third trimesters with post-mortem Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) were analyzed. 131 fetal specimens of 14–40 weeks gestational age (GA) were selected and scanned with 3.0T MR. Then the length of folded cortical margin (LFCM) and length of unfolded cortical margin (LUCM) were measured by Photoshop and ZoomMagic software. Degrees of cortical folding (DCF) were calculated by means of (LFCM−LUCM)/LFCM. Growth curves were obtained between the 3 above values and GA, and significant differences in age stages, hemispheres and genders were analyzed. The relationship between LFCM in centimeters, DCF and GA in weeks was described by two exponential growth curves [LFCM=5.325exp(0.079GA); DCF=11.890exp(0.043GA)]. The curves increased rapidly after 26 weeks GA, which could be recognized as a cut-off point of fetal cortical and sulcal development. LUCM and GA were described by a logarithmic growth curve which slowed down after 26 weeks GA [LUCM=30.580Ln(GA)−72.490]. Significant differences of the 3 values before and after 26 weeks GA (p <0.01), but not any in hemispheres and genders were noticed. These results, which may be valuable in assessing normal brain development and can serve as a model in clinical settings, indicate that the cerebral volume first increases and is then followed by increases of the surface area. Abstract: Annual paddy rice–winter wheat rotation constitutes one of the typical cropping systems in southeast China, in which various water regimes are currently practiced during the rice-growing season, including continuous flooding (F), flooding-midseason drainage-reflooding (F-D-F), and flooding-midseason drainage-reflooding and moisture but without waterlogging (F-D-F-M). We conducted a field experiment in a rice–winter wheat rotation system to gain an insight into the water regime-specific emission factors and background emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O) over the whole annual cycle. While flooding led to an unpronounced N2O emission during the rice-growing season, it incurred substantial N2O emission during the following non-rice season. During the non-rice season, N2O fluxes were, on average, 2.61 and 2.48mg N2O–Nm− 2 day−1 for the 250kg N ha−1 applied plots preceded by the F and F-D-F water regimes, which are 56% and 49% higher than those by the F-D-F-M water regime, respectively. For the annual rotation system experienced by continuous flooding during the rice-growing season, the relationship between N2O emission and nitrogen input predicted the emission factor and background emission of N2O to be 0.87% and 1.77kg N2O–Nha−1, respectively. For the plots experienced by the water regimes of F-D-F and F-D-F-M, the emission factors of N2O averaged 0.97% and 0.85%, with background N2O emissions of 2.00kg N2O–Nha−1 and 1.61kg N2O–Nha−1 for the annual rotation system, respectively. Annual direct N2O–N emission was estimated to be 98.1Gg yr−1 in Chinese rice-based cropping systems in the 1990s, consisting of 32.3Gg during the rice-growing season and 65.8Gg during the non-rice season, which accounts for 25–35% of the annual total emission from croplands in China. Greenhouse gas emissions from rice paddies under sewage irrigation deserve much attention since domestic sewage effluents are increasingly used for agriculture in developing countries. A field experiment was conducted to simultaneously measure methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from rice (Oryza sativa L.) paddies under sewage and unpolluted river water irrigation in southeast China. The rice paddies were under a local typical water regime, which was characterized by flooding–midseason drainage–reflooding–moist intermittent irrigation but without water logging. Relative to unpolluted river water irrigation, sewage irrigation significantly increased CH4 and N2O emissions from rice paddies. Seasonal fluxes of CH4 averaged 1.51mgm−2 h−1 for the plots irrigated by river water and 1.92mgm−2 h−1 for the plots irrigated by sewage. In contrast with river water irrigation, sewage irrigation increased CH4 by 27% and 33% for paddy plots with and without chemical N addition, respectively. Under sewage irrigation, seasonal fluxes of N2O-N averaged 26.79μgm−2 h−1 for the plots without N application and 74.07μgm−2 h−1 for the plots applied at the rate of 200kgNha−1. Relative to river water irrigation, sewage irrigation increased N2O by 68% and 170% for the plots with and without N application, respectively. The direct emission factor of fertilizer N for N2O was estimated to be 0.71% for the rice paddies under sewage irrigation and 0.52% for the plots irrigated by river water. Besides direct N2O emissions, N input by sewage irrigation induced substantial indirect N2O emission from rice paddies. Deep sowing is a traditional method for drought resistance in maize production, and mesocotyl elongation is strongly associated with the ability of maize to germinate from deep soil. However, little is known about the functional genes and mechanisms regulating maize mesocotyl elongation. In the present study, we identified a plant‐specific SIMILAR TO RCD‐ONE (SRO) protein family member, ZmSRO1e, involved in maize mesocotyl elongation. The expression of ZmSRO1e is strongly inhibited upon transfer from dark to white light. The loss‐of‐function zmsro1e mutant exhibited a dramatically shorter mesocotyl than the wild‐type in both constant light and darkness, while overexpression of ZmSRO1e significantly promoted mesocotyl elongation, indicating that ZmSRO1e positively regulates mesocotyl elongation. We showed that ZmSRO1e physically interacted with ZmbZIP61, an ortholog of Arabidopsis ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL 5 (HY5) and showed a function similar to that of HY5 in regulating photomorphogenesis. We found that ZmSRO1e repressed the transcriptional activity of ZmbZIP61 toward target genes involved in the regulation of cell expansion, such as ZmEXPB4 and ZmEXPB6, by interfering with the binding of ZmbZIP61 to the promoters of target genes. • Contributed from polysarchride ligand of sodium alginate, Au NCs are sensitive to aggregate in tumor microenvironment. • The functional aggregation switches on photothermal conversion of AuNCs, endowing systemic photothermal therapy. • Sodium alginate delays renal clearance of AuNCs in blood circulation and prolongs the half-life to ∼9.3 h. For renal clearable nanoagents, it is challenging to delay the renal clearance to acquire efficient tumor accumulation. Herein, we report sodium alginate (SA) stabilized gold (Au) NCs. The Au NCs are of high biocompatibility and renal clearable. Contributed from the ligands of SA, the half-life (t 1/2) of Au NCs is prolonged to ∼9.3 h, enhancing the tumor accumulation rate to 10.4 %ID/g. In tumor microenvironment (TME), the Au NCs are stimulated to functionally aggregate, which switches on the photothermal effect. Animal experiments prove that Au NCs aggregates are efficient photothermal therapy (PTT) agents for both local treatment of single tumors and systemic treatment of double-tumor models without causing noticeable side effects, confirming the biosecurity of Au NCs and systemic PTT. In the scenario where autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) carry out tasks, it is necessary to reliably estimate underwater-moving-target positioning. While cameras often give low-precision visibility in a limited field of view, the forward-looking sonar is still an attractive method for underwater sensing, which is especially effective for long-range tracking. This paper describes an online processing framework based on forward-looking-sonar (FLS) images, and presents a novel tracking approach based on a Gaussian particle filter (GPF) to resolve persistent multiple-target tracking in cluttered environments. First, the character of acoustic-vision images is considered, and methods of median filtering and region-growing segmentation were modified to improve image-processing results. Second, a generalized regression neural network was adopted to evaluate multiple features of target regions, and a representation of feature subsets was created to improve tracking performance. Thus, an adaptive fusion strategy is introduced to integrate feature cues into the observation model, and the complete procedure of underwater target tracking based on GPF is displayed. Results obtained on a real acoustic-vision AUV platform during sea trials are shown and discussed. Human infancy is marked by fastest postnatal brain structural changes. It also coincides with the onset of many neurodevelopmental disorders. Atlas‐based automated structure labeling has been widely used for analyzing various neuroimaging data. However, the relatively large and nonlinear neuroanatomical differences between infant and adult brains can lead to significant offsets of the labeled structures in infant brains when adult brain atlas is used. Age‐specific 1‐ and 2‐year‐old brain atlases covering all major gray and white matter (GM and WM) structures with diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and structural MRI are critical for precision medicine for infant population yet have not been established. In this study, high‐quality DTI and structural MRI data were obtained from 50 healthy children to build up three‐dimensional age‐specific 1‐ and 2‐year‐old brain templates and atlases. Age‐specific templates include a single‐subject template as well as two population‐averaged templates from linear and nonlinear transformation, respectively. Each age‐specific atlas consists of 124 comprehensively labeled major GM and WM structures, including 52 cerebral cortical, 10 deep GM, 40 WM, and 22 brainstem and cerebellar structures. When combined with appropriate registration methods, the established atlases can be used for highly accurate automatic labeling of any given infant brain MRI. We demonstrated that one can automatically and effectively delineate deep WM microstructural development from 3 to 38 months by using these age‐specific atlases. These established 1‐ and 2‐year‐old infant brain DTI atlases can advance our understanding of typical brain development and serve as clinical anatomical references for brain disorders during infancy. Background: Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) constitutes a debilitating complication associated with diabetes. Although, the past decade has seen rapid developments in understanding the complex etiology of DPN, there are no approved therapies that can halt the development of DPN, or target the damaged nerve. Therefore, clarifying the pathogenesis of DPN and finding effective treatment are the crucial issues for the clinical management of DPN. Aims: This review is aiming to summary the current knowledge on the pathogenesis of DPN, especially the mechanism and application of inflammatory response. Methods: We systematically summarized the latest studies on the pathogenesis and therapeutic strategies of diabetic neuropathy in PubMed. Results: In this seminal review, the underappreciated role of immune activation in the progression of DPN is scrutinized. Novel insights into the inflammatory regulatory mechanisms of DPN have been unearthed, illuminating potential therapeutic strategies of notable clinical significance. Additionally, a nuanced examination of DPN's complex etiology, including aberrations in glycemic control and insulin signaling pathways, is presented. Crucially, an emphasis has been placed on translating these novel understandings into tangible clinical interventions to ameliorate patient outcomes. Conclusions: This review is distinguished by synthesizing cutting‐edge mechanisms linking inflammation to DPN and identifying innovative, inflammation‐targeted therapeutic approaches. Dormancy is an adaptive trait which prevents seeds from germinating under unfavorable environmental conditions. Seeds with weak dormancy undergo pre‐harvest sprouting (PHS) which decreases grain yield and quality. Understanding the genetic mechanisms that regulate seed dormancy and resistance to PHS is crucial for ensuring global food security. In this study, we illustrated the function and molecular mechanism of TaSRO1 in the regulation of seed dormancy and PHS resistance by suppressing TaVP1. The tasro1 mutants exhibited strong seed dormancy and enhanced resistance to PHS, whereas the mutants of tavp1 displayed weak dormancy. Genetic evidence has shown that TaVP1 is epistatic to TaSRO1. Biochemical evidence has shown that TaSRO1 interacts with TaVP1 and represses the transcriptional activation of the PHS resistance genes TaPHS1 and TaSdr. Furthermore, TaSRO1 undermines the synergistic activation of TaVP1 and TaABI5 in PHS resistance genes. Compactifications of 6d N = (1, 0) SCFTs give rise to new 4d N = 1 SCFTs and shed light on interesting dualities between such theories. In this paper we continue exploring this line of research by extending the class of compactified 6d theories to the D- type case. The simplest such 6d theory arises from D5 branes probing D-type singularities. Equivalently, this theory can be obtained from an F-theory compactification using −2- curves intersecting according to a D-type quiver. Our approach is two-fold. We start by compactifying the 6d SCFT on a Riemann surface and compute the central charges of the resulting 4d theory by integrating the 6d anomaly polynomial over the Riemann surface. As a second step, in order to find candidate 4d UV Lagrangians, there is an intermediate 5d theory that serves to construct 4d domain walls. These can be used as building blocks to obtain torus compactifications. In contrast to the A-type case, the vanishing of anomalies in the 4d theory turns out to be very restrictive and constraints the choices of gauge nodes and matter content severely. As a consequence, in this paper one has to resort to non- maximal boundary conditions for the 4d domain walls. A glucose oxidase-mimicking and peroxidase-mimicking dual-nanozymes catalytic cascade system with the capabilities of reshaping the pathological microenvironments of diabetic wound via glucose consumption and acidification is constructed for antibacterial and accelerating wound healing. [Display omitted] Diabetes-related chronic wounds characterized by hyperglycemia and weak alkaline milieu provide numerous advantages for bacteria growth and biofilm formation, setting a myriad of stumbling blocks for wound healing. Therefore, reshaping the spatially and temporally pathological wound microenvironment against bacterial infection is critical to rescue stalled healing progress in diabetes-related chronic wounds. Herein, we demonstrate on the room-temperature construction of a glucose oxidase (GOx)-mimicking and peroxidase (POD)-mimicking dual-nanozymes catalytic cascade system upon the partial reduction of Fe3+ to Fe2+ and the deposition of Au nanoparticles, simultaneously. The as-prepared dual-nanozymes catalytic cascade system possesses the capabilities of reshaping the pathological microenvironments of diabetic wound via glucose consumption and acidification, leading to amplified catalytic cascade activities for sterilization. On the one hand, the GOx-mimicking enzymatic activity of the catalytic cascade system can not only deplete glucose and acidize wound milieu to inhibit bacteria growth, but also utilize the weak alkaline milieu of diabetic wound to provide sufficient H 2 O 2 and a favorable pH for subsequent OH generation. On the other hand, the POD-mimicking enzymatic activity of the catalytic cascade system can continuously produce OH for sterilization under the weak acidic milieu in the presence of abundant H 2 O 2. Benefiting from the simply and mild preparation process and the excellent dual-nanozymes catalytic cascade activities under the deliberate evolved milieus of diabetes-related chronic wounds, our catalytic cascade system exhibits the promising healing effect and clinical translation potential against diabetic wound infection. Applying biochar amendment and manure in tea plantation ecosystems can diminish soil acidification and degradation. However, the impact of these practices on soil respiration and associated mechanisms remains unclear. In this study, we combined a two-year field experiment and laboratory analyses based on soil properties, functional genes, and microbial co-occurrence networks to explore the determinants of soil respiration intensity in a subtropical tea plantation with biochar amendment and manure application. The results showed that the effect of biochar amendment on soil respiration was unconspicuous. Although biochar amendment increased bacterial richness and Shannon index, biochar amendment did not alter the abundance of species associated with C-cycling functional genes. Besides directly adding recalcitrant C to the soil, biochar also indirectly enhanced C sequestration by weakly increasing soil carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. However, replacing mineral fertilizer with manure significantly stimulated soil respiration in the tea plantation, resulting in a 36% increase in CO2 emissions over two years. The increase in CO2 emissions under the manure treatment was mainly attributed to the increased soil labile C pool, the activity of hydrolytic enzymes (e.g., cellobiohydrolase and acetylglucosaminidase), and the relative abundance of functional genes associated with the C-cycle. This may also be related to the application of manure that increased the abundance of Gemmatimonadetes and altered ecological clusters in bacterial co-occurrence networks. Our correlation network analysis suggested that Gemmatimonadetes might be the potential hosts for C-cycling genes due to their strong positive correlation with the abundance of C-cycling genes. Overall, these findings provide new insights into soil respiration under biochar amendment and manure application in tea plantations and broaden the options for carbon sequestration in soils. Purpose: The objectives of this study were to evaluate various branching patterns of segmental bronchi in the left superior and lingular lobes and to survey the anatomical diversity and sex-related differences of these branches in a large sample of the study population. Materials and methods: Overall, 10,000 participants (5428 males, and 4572 females, mean age 50 ± 13.5 years [SD] years; age range: 3–91 years) who underwent multi-slice CT (MSCT) scans between September 2019 and December 2021 were retrospectively included. Using the syngo.via post-processing workstation, the data were applied to generate three-dimensional (3D) and virtual bronchoscopy (VB) simulations of a bronchial tree. The reconstructed images were then interpreted to identify and categorize distinct bronchial patterns in the left superior and lingular lobes. Cross-tabulation analysis and the Pearson Chi-square (χ2) test were used to calculate the constituent ratios of bronchial branch types and determine their significance between male and female groups. Results: Our results revealed mainly four distinct types for the left superior lobe (LSL) bronchial tree, i.e., (B1 + 2, B3, 76.13%); (B1 + 2 + 3, 17.32%); (B1 + 3, B2, 5.74%); (B1a + B3, B1b + B2, 0.81%) and two types for the left lingular lobe (LLL) bronchial tree, i.e., (B4, B5, 91.05%); (B4, B5, B*, 8.95%). There were no significant sex-related differences in the proportion of bronchial branches in LLL (P > 0.05). However, sex-related differences were significant in the proportion of bronchial branches in LSL (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The current study has validated the presence of segmental bronchial variations in the left superior and lingular lobes. These findings may have a crucial effect on the diagnosis of symptomatic patients, as well as in carrying out procedures such as lung resections, endotracheal intubation, and bronchoscopies. Despite the increasing impact of atmospheric nitrogen (N) deposition on terrestrial greenhouse gas (GHG) budget, through driving both the net atmospheric CO2 exchange and the emission or uptake of non‐CO2 GHGs (CH4 and N2O), few studies have assessed the climatic impact of forests and grasslands under N deposition globally based on different bottom‐up approaches. Here, we quantify the effects of N deposition on biomass C increment, soil organic C (SOC), CH4 and N2O fluxes and, ultimately, the net ecosystem GHG balance of forests and grasslands using a global comprehensive dataset. We showed that N addition significantly increased plant C uptake (net primary production) in forests and grasslands, to a larger extent for the aboveground C (aboveground net primary production), whereas it only caused a small or insignificant enhancement of SOC pool in both upland systems. Nitrogen addition had no significant effect on soil heterotrophic respiration (RH) in both forests and grasslands, while a significant N‐induced increase in soil CO2 fluxes (RS, soil respiration) was observed in grasslands. Nitrogen addition significantly stimulated soil N2O fluxes in forests (76%), to a larger extent in grasslands (87%), but showed a consistent trend to decrease soil uptake of CH4, suggesting a declined sink capacity of forests and grasslands for atmospheric CH4 under N enrichment. Overall, the net GHG balance estimated by the net ecosystem production‐based method (forest, 1.28 Pg CO2‐eq year−1 vs. grassland, 0.58 Pg CO2‐eq year−1) was greater than those estimated using the SOC‐based method (forest, 0.32 Pg CO2‐eq year−1 vs. grassland, 0.18 Pg CO2‐eq year−1) caused by N addition. Our findings revealed that the enhanced soil C sequestration by N addition in global forests and grasslands could be only marginally offset (1.5%–4.8%) by the combined effects of its stimulation of N2O emissions together with the reduced soil uptake of CH4. Grassland ecosystems are sensitive to invasions by plants from other functional groups which can alter soil greenhouse gas (GHG) fluxes. However, the effects of plant invasion on net GHG exchanges between soils and the atmosphere, plant production, and global warming potential (GWP) of annual grasslands is poorly understood. To evaluate the impacts of perennial forb invasions on GHG budgets of an annual grassland in China, we measured soil carbon dioxide (CO 2 ), methane (CH 4 ), and nitrous oxide (N 2 O) fluxes over two years in replicated invaded (dominated by Alternanthera philoxeroides or Solidago canadensis ) and non-invaded (dominated by the annual grass Eragrostis pilosa or the annual forb Sesbania cannabina ) field sites. On average, soil CO 2 and N 2 O emissions from invaded sites were 30% and 76% higher, respectively, relative to sites dominated by native species. Emissions of N 2 O and CO 2 were especially high in Solidago and Alternanthera dominated sites, respectively. Soil CH 4 emissions did not vary with plant species. On average, total biomass C of invaded sites was higher than that of the native dominated sites but this reflected the high C in Solidago dominated sites. Global warming potential (GWP) was increased by Alternanthera invasions and decreased by Solidago invasions. Plant invasions affected GWP of these annual grasslands through higher emissions of some GHGs but also sometimes higher biomass C. Together, this suggests that perennial forb invasions could change the net source or sink role of annual grasslands for GHG budgets, but the effects on GWP vary among species depending on GHG responses and C storage. Vehicle running state adaptive unscented Kalman filter soft-sensing algorithm is put forward in this paper based on traditional UKF which can estimate vehicle running state parameters and suboptimal Sage-Husa noise estimator which can effectively solve the problem of noises varying with time. Meanwhile 3-DOF dynamic model of vehicle and HSRI tire model are established. So vehicle running state can be accurately estimated by fusing the low-cost measurement information of longitudinal and lateral acceleration and handwheel steering angle. Under the typical working condition, AUKF soft-sensing algorithm is verified with substantial vehicle tests. Comparing with UKF soft-sensing algorithm, the result indicates AUKF soft-sensing algorithm has a good performance in robustness and is able to realize the effective estimation of vehicle running state more precisely than UKF soft-sensing algorithm. Purpose: The objective of this research was to analyze and correlate the length of the left main coronary artery (LMCA) with significant clinical parameters using multi-slice CT (MSCT). Materials and Methods: 1500 patients (851 males and 649 females; mean age 57.38 ± 11.03 [SD]; age range: 5–85 years) who underwent MSCT scans from September 2020 to March 2022 were retrospectively included. The data were applied to generate three-dimensional (3D) simulations of a coronary tree using the syngo.via post-processing workstation. Results: The results showed 1206 (80.4%) cases with medium LMCA, 133 (8.9%) with long LMCA, and 161 (10.7%) with short LMCA. The average diameter of LMCA at its midpoint was 4.69 ± 0.74 mm. The most frequent type of division of LMCA was bifurcation in 1076 (71.7%) cases; in 424 (28.3%) cases, the LMCA was divided into three or more branches. The dominance was right in 1339 (89.3%), left in 78 (5.2%), and co-dominant in 83 (5.5%) cases. There was a positive correlation between the length and branching patterns of LMCA, χ2 = 113.993, P = 0.000 (< 0.05). Other variables like age, sex, diameter of LMCA, and coronary dominance did not show any significant correlation. Conclusion: This study has demonstrated a significant association between the length and the branching pattern of LMCA, which may be essential in diagnosing and treating coronary artery patients. Purpose: The objectives of this study were to evaluate the various branching patterns of segmental bronchi in the right middle lobe (RML) and to survey the anatomical diversity and sex-related differences of these branches in a large sample of the study population. Materials and methods: In this retrospective board-approved study with informed consent, 10,000 participants (5428 males and 4,572 females, mean age 50 ± 13.5 years [SD]; age range: 3–91 years) who underwent multi-slice CT (MSCT) scans from September 2019 to December 2021 were retrospectively included. The data were applied to generate three-dimensional (3D) and virtual bronchoscopy (VB) simulations of a bronchial tree using the syngo.via post-processing workstation. The reconstructed images were then interpreted to locate and classify distinct bronchial patterns in the RML. Cross-tabulation analysis and the Pearson chi-square test were used to calculate the constituent ratios of bronchial branch types and determine their significance between male and female groups. Results: Our results revealed that the segmental bronchial ramifications of the RML were classified into two types mainly, i.e., bifurcation (B4, B5, 91.42%) and trifurcation (B4, B5, B*, 8.58%). There were no significant sex-related differences in the proportion of bronchial branches in the RML (P > 0.05). Conclusion: The current study has confirmed the presence of segmental bronchial variations in the RML lobe using 3D reconstruction and virtual bronchoscopy. These findings may have significant implications for the diagnosis of symptomatic patients and for carrying out specific procedures like bronchoscopy, endotracheal intubation, and lung resection. This paper presents the charging and characterization of an organic micro electret array for vibration energy harvesting. Micro sized electrets with stable and high surface potential are essential for the long-term effectiveness of micro electrostatic power generators which harvest low-level vibration energy. In this study, a localized corona charging method to obtain micro sized electret areas on non-patterned macro sized dielectric thin film has been proposed to solve the problem of low charging efficiency and fast charge decay of micro sized electrets. This method involves using a shadow mask to transfer charge patterns and a triode corona charging configuration to facilitate charge penetration. Charging efficiency of 93.6% is achieved on an electret area of 100 µm × 100 µm, and 87% of its initial surface potential remains on the shrunken area of 50 µm × 50 µm after 240 days of storage. A technique combining SEM surface topography and non-contact measurement of the average surface potential has been developed to map the charge distribution on locally charged dielectric thin film and measure the surface potential on the micro sized charged area by incorporating the layout characteristic of a micro electret array. A novel three-dimensional (3D) electret-based micro power generator with multiple vibration modes has been developed, which is capable of converting low-level ambient kinetic energy to electrical energy. The device is based on a rotational symmetrical resonator which consists of a movable disc-shaped seismic mass suspended by three sets of spiral springs. Experimental analysis shows that the proposed generator operates at an out-of-plane direction at mode I of 66 Hz and two in-plane directions at mode II of 75 Hz and mode III of 78.5 Hz with a phase difference of about 90°. A corona localized charging method is also proposed that employs a shadow mask and multiple discharge needles for the production of micro-sized electret array. From tests conducted at an acceleration of 0.05 g, the prototype can generate a maximum power of 4.8 nW, 0.67 nW and 1.2 nW at vibration modes of I, II and III, respectively. These values correspond to the normalized power densities of 16 µW cm−3 g−2, 2.2 µW cm−3 g−2 and 4 µW cm−3 g−2, respectively. Based on the analysis of the movement rule of 3D five-way braided yarn, the 3D five-way braided case model is divided into three parts: base, case bottom plate and case wall. According to the characteristics of each part, the braiding and forming principle of a 3D five-way composite case was analyzed. Under the assumption of ignoring the influence of friction, bearing and other factors on the system, the differential equations of motion of the two-stage gear transmission system with case were established. The two-stage gear transmission system was numerically analyzed by Euler method, and the influence of dimensionless meshing frequency, clearance, case mass and damping on the dynamic characteristics of the transmission system was studied. After that, high and low frequency disturbance was applied to the input case. The research shows that the damping ratio of the composite case increases and the low frequency attenuation is accelerated due to the decrease of the case mass, so the composite case has better shock resistance to low frequency interference. Metal-phenolic networks (MPNs) have been conventionally formed by the coordination of metal ions and polyphenols, which can responsively release metal ions and polyphenols under the trigger of tumor microenvironment (TME), showing high potential in the field of antitumor. However, MPNs are mainly limited to multi-valency polyphenols, and the unavailability of single valency polyphenols greatly hinders their applications even though they have excellent antitumor activity. Herein, we demonstrate a FeOOH assisted preparation method for MPNs antitumor reagent by introducing the complexes of Fe3+, H 2 O and polyphenol (Fe(H 2 O) x -polyphenol y) in the preparation process, which overcomes the shortage of single valency polyphenols. Taking apigenin (Ap) as an example, Fe(H 2 O) x -Ap y complexes are foremost formed, in which the Fe(H 2 O) x is capable of hydrolyzing to generate FeOOH, thus producing Fe3+-Ap networks-coated FeOOH nanoparticles (FeOOH@Fe-Ap NPs). Under the stimulation of the TME, FeOOH@Fe-Ap NPs could release Fe2+ and Ap, realizing ferroptosis and apoptosis for tumor combination therapy. In addition, FeOOH can shorten transverse relaxation time, acting as a T 2 -weighted magnetic resonance imaging contrast agent. The current efforts provide an alternative strategy for constructing MPNs by exploiting single valency polyphenols, which strengthens the potential of MPNs in antitumor applications. FeOOH assisted strategy for metal-phenolic networks (MPNs) overcomes the limitation of conventional MPNs —— the inextensibility of single valency polyphenols, achieving the employment of single valency polyphenols for MPNs antitumor reagents. Existing studies suggest that biochar application can reduce soil nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions, mainly based on short‐term results. However, it remains unclear what the effects (i.e., legacy effects) and underlying mechanisms are on N2O emissions after many years of a single application of biochar. Here, we collected intact soil columns from plots without and with biochar application in a subtropical tea plantation 7 years ago for an incubation experiment. We used the N2O isotopocule analysis combined with ammonia oxidizer‐specific inhibitors and molecular biology approaches to investigate how the legacy effect of biochar affected soil N2O emissions. Results showed that the soil in the presence of biochar had lower N2O emissions than the control albeit statistically insignificant. The legacy effect of biochar in decreasing N2O emissions may be attributed to the reduced effectiveness of the soil substrate, nitrification and denitrification activities, and the promotion of the further reduction of N2O. The legacy effect of biochar reduced the relative contribution of nitrifier denitrification/bacterial denitrification, nitrification‐related N2O production, and the relative abundance of several microorganisms involved in the nitrogen cycle. Our global meta‐analysis also showed that the reduction of N2O by biochar increased with increasing application rate but diminished and possibly even reversed with increasing experimental time. In conclusion, our findings suggest that the abatement capacity of biochar on soil N2O emissions may weaken over time after biochar application, but this remains under further investigation. Alkali stress is a major constraint for crop production in many regions of saline-alkali land. However, little is known about the mechanisms through which wheat responds to alkali stress. In this study, we identified a calcium ion-binding protein from wheat, TaCCD1, which is critical for regulating the plasma membrane (PM) H+-ATPase-mediated alkali stress response. PM H+-ATPase activity is closely related to alkali tolerance in the wheat variety Shanrong 4 (SR4). We found that two D-clade type 2C protein phosphatases, TaPP2C.D1 and TaPP2C.D8 (TaPP2C.D1/8), negatively modulate alkali stress tolerance by dephosphorylating the penultimate threonine residue (Thr926) of TaHA2 and thereby inhibiting PM H+-ATPase activity. Alkali stress induces the expression of TaCCD1 in SR4, and TaCCD1 interacts with TaSAUR215, an early auxin-responsive protein. These responses are both dependent on calcium signaling triggered by alkali stress. TaCCD1 enhances the inhibitory effect of TaSAUR215 on TaPP2C.D1/8 activity, thereby promoting the activity of the PM H+-ATPase TaHA2 and alkali stress tolerance in wheat. Functional and genetic analyses verified the effects of these genes in response to alkali stress, indicating that TaPP2C.D1/8 function downstream of TaSAUR215 and TaCCD1. Collectively, this study uncovers a new signaling pathway that regulates wheat responses to alkali stress, in which Ca2+-dependent TaCCD1 cooperates with TaSAUR215 to enhance PM H+-ATPase activity and alkali stress tolerance by inhibiting TaPP2C.D1/8-mediated dephosphorylation of PM H+-ATPase TaHA2 in wheat. Abstract: Background: The 20th week gestational age (GA) is at mid-gestation and corresponds to the age at which the termination of pregnancy in several countries and the first Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) can be performed, and at which the premature babies may survive. However, at present, very little is known about the exact anatomical character at this GA. Objective: To delineate the developing fetal brain of 20 weeks GA and obtain the three dimensional visualization model. Materials and methods: 20 fetal specimens were scanned by 3.0T and 7.0T post-mortem MRI, and the three dimensional visualization model was obtained with Amira 4.1. Results: Most of the sulci or their anlage, except the postcentral sulcus and intraparietal sulcus, were present. The laminar organization, described as layers with different signal intensities, was most clearly distinguished at the parieto-occipital lobe and peripheral regions of the hippocampus. The basal nuclei could be clearly visualized, and the brain stem and cerebellum had formed their common shape. On the visualization model, the shape and relative relationship of the structures could be appropriately delineated. The ranges of normal values of the brain structures were obtained, but no sexual dimorphisms or cerebral asymmetries were found. Conclusions: The developing fetal brain of 20 weeks GA can be clearly delineated on 3.0T and 7.0T post-mortem MRIs, and the three dimensional visualization model supplies great help in precise cognition of the immature brain. The superior longitudinal fasciculus (SLF) is a complex associative tract comprising three distinct subdivisions in the frontoparietal cortex, each of which has its own anatomical connectivity and functional roles. However, many studies on white matter development, hampered by limitations of data quality and tractography methods, treated the SLF as a single entity. The exact anatomical trajectory and developmental status of each sub-bundle of the human SLF in neonates remain poorly understood. Here, we compared the morphological and microstructural characteristics of each branch of the SLF at two ages using diffusion MRI data from 40 healthy neonates and 40 adults. A multi-shell multi-tissue constrained spherical deconvolution (MSMT-CSD) algorithm was used to ensure the successful separation of the three SLF branches (SLF I, SLF II and SLF III). Then, between-group differences in the diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and neurite orientation dispersion and density imaging (NODDI) metrics were investigated in all the SLF branches. Meanwhile, Mahalanobis distances based on all the diffusion metrics were computed to quantify the maturation of neonatal SLF branches, considering the adult brain as the reference. The SLF branches, excluding SLF II, had similar fibre morphology and connectivity between the neonatal and adult groups. The Mahalanobis distance values further supported the notion of heterogeneous maturation among SLF branches. The greatest Mahalanobis distance was observed in SLF II, possibly indicating that it was the least mature. Our findings provide a new anatomical basis for the early diagnosis and treatment of diseases caused by abnormal neonatal SLF development. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Summary: Initially discovered in yeast, mitochondrial retrograde signalling has long been recognised as an essential in the perception of stress by eukaryotes. However, how to maintain the optimal amplitude and duration of its activation under natural stress conditions remains elusive in plants.Here, we show that TaSRO1, a major contributor to the agronomic performance of bread wheat plants exposed to salinity stress, interacted with a transmembrane domain‐containing NAC transcription factor TaSIP1, which could translocate from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) into the nucleus and activate some mitochondrial dysfunction stimulon (MDS) genes. Overexpression of TaSIP1 and TaSIP1‐∆C (a form lacking the transmembrane domain) in wheat both compromised the plants' tolerance of salinity stress, highlighting the importance of precise regulation of this signal cascade during salinity stress.The interaction of TaSRO1/TaSIP1, in the cytoplasm, arrested more TaSIP1 on the membrane of ER, and in the nucleus, attenuated the trans‐activation activity of TaSIP1, therefore reducing the TaSIP1‐mediated activation of MDS genes. Moreover, the overexpression of TaSRO1 rescued the inferior phenotype induced by TaSIP1 overexpression.Our study provides an orchestrating mechanism executed by the TaSRO1–TaSIP1 module that balances the growth and stress response via fine tuning the level of mitochondria retrograde signalling. Livestock manure contributes to global warming due to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, especially nitrous oxide (N 2 O) and methane (CH 4). In the arid and semi-arid lands of Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), extensive pastoral grazing systems are common, with cattle grazing in the savanna during the day and kept in enclosures (called bomas in Kenya) during the night. Manure is usually not removed from bomas but left to accumulate, leading to excessive local nitrogen loads, making these bomas an overlooked N 2 O emission hotspot in SSA that is currently not accounted for in national and regional GHG budgets. Here, we present the first in-situ isotope measurements of N 2 O fluxes from 37 cattle bomas along an age gradient ranging from 0 to 5 years after boma abandonment in Kenya along with functional gene analysis of soil and manure samples. The isotopic composition of the emitted N 2 O from bomas suggests that on average 91 ± 8% N 2 O was produced via bacterial denitrification and/or nitrifier denitrification, with little variation across boma age class. We also found high levels of N 2 O reduction to N 2 across all sample sites (81 ± 9%), indicating high levels of N 2 O consumption. The abundances of denitrification-related genes (nirK and narG) were significantly higher than those of nitrification-related genes (amoA : AOA and AOB) in the cattle manure samples taken from the bomas, corroborating N 2 O emissions largely being attributed to denitrification. Significant abundance of the reduction-related gene (nosZ) also corroborated the high potential for microbial N 2 O reduction in bomas. Thus, by combining dual-isotope and functional gene analysis, we were able to identify source processes that govern N 2 O emissions from these systems.
