AbstractThis study delves into the realm of traditional Korean fashion/textile practice, known as traditional nubi and Tongyeong nubi (t/T nubi), and re-engineers it from a contemporary fashion perspective within the framework of cultural sustainability. Drawing upon the systemic design approach, the project employed specific activities to trace, decode, and reconfigure t/T nubi following the phases of exploration, reframing, creation, and catalyzation, aiming for innovative design in the contemporary fashion space. The paper emphasizes a holistic and iterative process, based on learning the practice of t/T nubi from artisans, understanding and recontextualizing the future envisaged for t/T nubi, and delivering creative outcomes. Utilizing the interpretative model of cultural sustainability through craft, the study also analyzed the outcomes, identifying impacts such as rethinking craft culture, decoding craft roots, and influencing craft culture. Striking a balance between safeguarding the practice and fostering creativity was challenging; however, the approach serves as a valuable reference for designers and/or artisans of traditional craft practice, bridging their knowledge and design thinking process with the enduring sustainability of this heritage craft. The depletion of the ozone layer over the last four decades has increased Earth's exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, posing significant health risks. Indium‐Gallium‐Zinc‐Oxide (IGZO) phototransistors have emerged as promising UV detection candidates, boasting a wide bandgap (>3 eV), low off‐current, high on‐current, and stability. However, previous efforts to enhance the photoresponse of IGZO phototransistors focused on visible light absorption layers, neglecting UV detection. Here, zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles (NPs) as an absorption layer in IGZO TFTs for UV phototransistors are introduced. IGZO/ZnO TFTs exhibit robust photoresponsivity for UV light below 360 nm, showcasing rejection ratios (Ruv / Rvis) of 20 258, 62 261, 193 649, and 401 582 for wavelengths of 360, 340, 320, and 300 nm, respectively. The combination of IGZO's wide bandgap with ZnO NPs proves effective for detecting UV light below 360 nm, even at low incident light intensities (15 µW cm−2). Enhanced photoresponse characteristics are confirmed via ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy. This research highlights the potential of IGZO materials for UV phototransistors and introduces a novel perspective on the utilization of an additional absorption layer traditionally employed for the conventional extension into the visible light range. Background: Although DHFR gene amplification has long been known as a major mechanism for methotrexate (MTX) resistance in cancer, the early changes and detailed development of the resistance are not yet fully understood. Methods: We performed genomic, transcriptional and proteomic analyses of human colon cancer cells with sequentially increasing levels of MTX-resistance. Results: The genomic amplification evolved in three phases (pre-amplification, homogenously staining region (HSR) and extrachromosomal DNA (ecDNA)). We confirm that genomic amplification and increased expression of DHFR, with formation of HSRs and especially ecDNAs, is the major driver of resistance. However, DHFR did not play a detectable role in the early phase. In the late phase (ecDNA), increase in FAM151B protein level may also have an important role by decreasing sensitivity to MTX. In addition, although MSH3 and ZFYVE16 may be subject to different posttranscriptional regulations and therefore protein expressions are decreased in ecDNA stages compared to HSR stages, they still play important roles in MTX resistance. Conclusion: The study provides a detailed evolutionary trajectory of MTX-resistance and identifies new targets, especially ecDNAs, which could help to prevent drug resistance. This study aims to report three new species of Conoideocrella and Moelleriella from Yunnan Province, Southwestern China. Species of Conoideocrella and Moelleriella parasitize scale insects (Coccidae and Lecaniidae, Hemiptera) and whiteflies (Aleyrodidae, Hemiptera). Based on the phylogenetic analyses of the three-gene nrLSU, tef-1α, and rpb1, it showed one new record species (Conoideocrella tenuis) and one new species (Conoideocrella fenshuilingensis sp. nov.) in the genus Conoideocrella, and two new species, i.e., Moelleriella longzhuensis sp. nov. and Moelleriella jinuoana sp. nov. in the genus Moelleriella. The three new species were each clustered into separate clades that distinguished themselves from one another. All of them were distinguishable from their allied species based on their morphology. Morphological descriptions, illustrations, and comparisons of the allied taxa of the four species are provided in the present paper. While a gambler may occasionally win, continuous gambling inevitably results in a net loss to the casino. This study experimentally demonstrates the profitability of a particularly deceptive casino game: a two-armed antique Mills Futurity slot machine. The main findings clearly show that both non-random and random two-arm strategies, predetermined by the player and repeated without interruption, are always profitable for the casino, despite two coins being refunded for every two consecutive losses by the gambler. We theoretically explore the cyclical nature of slot machine strategies and speculate on the impact of the frequency of switching strategies on casino returns. Optoelectronic neuromorphic devices based on oxide semiconductors have been potentially investigated to mimic the functions of human visual synapses. However, the challenge comes from the wide bandgap characteristics of numerous oxide semiconductors, which restricts the response range of the device under ultra‐violet (UV) region. Strategies for widening the response range are mostly focused on artificially generating the defect states, however, most of them results in mimicking the tetrachromatic visual system from UV to visible light range. To be used for industries such as robotics, or autonomous vehicles, mimicking the tetrachromatic vision system should be overcome up to near‐infrared (NIR) region. Here, a facile solution processed indium‐gallium‐zinc‐oxide and silver oxide structured optoelectronic synaptic transistor is fabricated not only to mimic the function of human synapses, but to overcome the tetrachromatic human visual system up to the NIR region. The device not only showed photoresponse characteristics under the entire 405 to 830 nm wavelength region, but also showed significant synaptic behaviors with over 512 conduction states under a reasonable incident light power density of 4.5 mW cm−2. The research on the deviations caused by different resolutions is relevant to the study of spatial scale effects. In 2018, spatial interpolations were performed using the removal ratios of the TN, NH4‐N, and NO3‐N of the layers of different resolutions, respectively. Based on the mean and the standard deviation, the area, shape, and position were obtained for four levels related to the removal ratios of the three nitrogen forms. The linear and 6th function fitting methods were used to reveal the differences in nitrogen removal in wetland water at different spatial resolutions. The results showed that a resolution of 25 times the original was the key scale of the spatial effects. Due to the fact that 52 of the 72 functions did not reach a significant level (P < 0.05), the spatial scale effect of the nitrogen removal was mainly characterized by disorderly fluctuations. The results have a certain extrapolation value for the analysis of spatial scale effects. Practitioner Points: The resolution difference was not sufficient to change the spatial pattern of the geographic phenomena.The resolution of 25 times the original was the important scale for determining spatial effects.When studying the spatial scale effects caused by differences in resolution, it was necessary to comprehensively consider various resolutions. In a renewable-energy-penetrated power system (RPPS), inverter-based resources (IBRs) pose serious challenges to power system stability due to their completely different dynamic characteristics compared with conventional generators; thus, it is necessary to study the dynamic interactions between IBRs and power systems. Although many research efforts have been dedicated to this topic from both power electronics and power system researchers, some research from the power electronics field treats the external power system as a voltage source with an impedance, therefore ignoring the dynamic characteristics of a power system, while most of the research from the power system field applies simulation-based methods, for which it is difficult to directly interpret the interaction mechanism of IBRs and external system dynamics. Thus, none of these studies can explore the accurate dynamic interaction mechanism between IBRs and power systems, leading to performance degradation of IBR-integrated power systems. Our study takes into account the dynamic characteristics of both IBRs and the external power system, resulting in the development of a new open-loop transfer function for RPPSs. Based on this formulation, it is observed that under certain operating conditions, the dynamic interactions between the inverter and the power system help enhance IBR-penetrated power system stability compared with the case for which the external power system is controlled as a voltage source. The study also reveals how the inverter (phase-locked loop, control parameters, etc.), external power system (network strength) and penetration ratio in an IBR-penetrated power system affect the dynamic interactions between IBRs and the external power system using the proposed quantified interaction indices. Lithium manganese oxides are considered as promising cathodes for lithium‐ion batteries due to their low cost and available resources. Layered LiMnO2 with orthorhombic or monoclinic structure has attracted tremendous interest thanks to its ultrahigh theoretical capacity (285 mAh g−1) that almost doubles that of commercialized spinel LiMn2O4 (148 mAh g−1). However, LiMnO2 undergoes phase transition to spinel upon cycling cause by the Jahn‐Teller effect of the high‐spin Mn3+. In addition, soluble Mn2+ generates from the disproportionation of Mn3+ and oxygen release during electrochemical processes may cause poor cycle performance. To address the critical issues, tremendous efforts have been made. This paper provides a general review of layered LiMnO2 materials including their crystal structures, synthesis methods, structural/elemental modifications, and electrochemical performance. In brief, first the crystal structures of LiMnO2 and synthetic methods have been summarized. Subsequently, modification strategies for improving electrochemical performance are comprehensively reviewed, including element doping to suppress its phase transition, surface coating to resist manganese dissolution into the electrolyte and impede surface reactions, designing LiMnO2 composites to improve electronic conductivity and Li+ diffusion, and finding compatible electrolytes to enhance safety. The Phyllanthus emblica, which is a dual-use resource for medicine and food, is a dried and mature fruit of Phyllanthus emblica in Euphorbiaceae plant. It is rich in various compounds, including amino acids, flavonoids, terpenoids, volatile oils, etc. Phyllanthus emblica extract has various biological activities, including anti microbial infection, antioxidation, anti-tumor, lowering blood lipids and blood sugar, lowering blood pressure and tonifying. The commonly used extraction methods for different components include solvent method, ultrasonic assisted method, impregnation method, enzyme assisted method, subcritical water extraction method, microwave assisted method, reflux method, decompression method, etc. The article provides a summary of the various chemical components in Phyllanthus emblica, outlines the extraction methods for each component, discusses the optimal extraction conditions, and compares the advantages and disadvantages of different methods, summarizes the research of Phyllanthus emblica in animal husbandry, to provide reference for the application of Phyllanthus emblica extract in animal husbandry production. Reasonable construction of high activity and low cost non-noble metal oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalyst is of great importance for the wide application of zinc-air batteries (ZABs). Using bimetallic MOF as a precursor combined with electrospinning, high-temperature carbonization and electrodeposition, we successfully developed a porous carbon nanofiber (Co@Fe-CNFs-1000) with bimetallic active center as an efficient catalyst for ORR. The successful construction of this special core-shell structure directly explores the synergy between different active centers. The results showed that the synthesized Co@Fe-CNFs-1000 catalyst exhibited ORR performance comparable to that of Pt/C in 0.1 mol/L KOH electrolyte, high half-wave potential (E1/2=0.81 V) and limiting current density (JL=5.4 mA-cm−2). In addition, homemade liquid ZABs with Co@Fe-CNFs-1000 as the air cathode showed excellent power density (155.8 mW·cm−2), specific capacity (780.6 mAh·gZn−1) and long-term stability (over 100 h at 2 mA·cm−2), surpassing even Pt/C-based batteries. In addition, the flexible solid-state ZABs assembled based on Co@Fe-CNFs-1000 demonstrates excellent flexibility and durability. Reactive‐transport models (RTMs) have been an integral part of the safety case and design optimization for the nuclear waste repository in Finland. Such highly resolved, internally complex RTMs tend to be computationally demanding, thus their design is often a compromise between representativeness and computational efficiency. A modeling strategy is presented, demonstrating how a 2D simplified model can be constructed based upon and calibrated against a geometrically realistic 3D RTM. Key geometrical parameters of the 2D model are consistent with the 3D model, and the 2D model is verified by a series of benchmarks for various designs and conditions of the repository. Overall, the 2D model is proven suitable for fast scoping calculations, as (1) it reduces the mesh elements by 16 times and shortens the run time by about 40 times; (2) it has much more flexible remeshing possibilities; and (3) it provides highly consistent results with the 3D model. Despite being a clean and renewable energy source, photovoltaic (PV) power generation faces severe challenges in operation due to its strong intermittency and volatility compared to the traditional fossil fuel power generation. Accurate predictions are therefore crucial for PV's grid connections and the system security. The existing methods often rely heavily on weather forecasts, the accuracy of which is hard to be guaranteed. This paper proposes a novel GBDT-BiLSTM day-ahead PV forecasting model, which leverages the Teacher Forcing mechanism to combine the strong time-series processing capabilities of BiLSTM with an enhanced GBDT model. Given the uncertainty and volatility inherent in solar energy and weather conditions, the gradient boosting method is employed to update the weak learner, while a decision tree is incorporated to update the strong learner. Additionally, to explore the correlation between photovoltaic power output and historical time-series data, the adaptive gradient descent-based Adam algorithm is utilized to train the bidirectional LSTM model, enhancing the accuracy and stability of mid- to long-term time-series predictions. A prediction experiment, conducting with the real data from a PV power station in Sichuan Province, China, was compared with other methods to verify the model's effectiveness and robustness. Although the interactions between traffic flow and epidemic spread dynamics have been extensively studied, the impact of routing strategies on the susceptible–infected–recovered (SIR) epidemic spread driven by traffic flow have not received enough attention. In this paper, the traffic-driven SIR epidemic spread model under the probability path routing strategy and the efficient path routing strategy are studied. The instantaneous scale I p of the infected nodes’ density and the final scale R e of the ever infected nodes’ density are obtained through simulation, and it is found that there exist optimal values of routing parameters to minimise I p and R e , what is more, I p and R e under the probability path routing strategy are smaller than the values under the efficient path routing strategy. This means that the epidemic spreading can be effectively controlled by adjusting the routing strategy. In addition, when the routing parameter is the optimal value, the influence of packet generation rates, infection rates and cure rates on the epidemic spreading under different routing strategies is further discussed, and it is found that the higher the cure rate, the fewer nodes will be infected. Infected nodes’ density increases as the infection rate and packet generation rate increase, thereby accelerating epidemic spreading. Commercially available recombinant expression systems always use fusion tags to facilitate target protein purification and SDS-PAGE analysis followed by Coomassie Brilliant Blue (CBB) staining is the classical method to validate the expression level of target protein, which is time-consuming, although not very laborious. Previously, we found that a histidine-rich elastin-like polypeptide (HRELP) tag could make its fusion proteins being quickly and specifically stained with Pauly's reagent. In this study, we designed a Pauly reaction-based colorimetric assay to real-time monitoring of the expression level of recombinant protein tagged HRELP and found that the absorption value of post-induction E. coli cells stained with Pauly's reagent correlated well with both the band intensity of the target protein from Pauly's reagent-stained and CBB-stained gels. Moreover, we found the colorimetric assay could also be helpful to roughly estimate the expression efficiency by using a poly-histidine-tagged protein, which has only 1.17% histidine residue. In our opinion, Pauly reaction-based colorimetric assay could significantly shorten the time to validate the over-expression of recombinant protein tagged with either HRELP or poly-histidine. And HRELP seemed to be an ideal fusion tag for it can not only facilitate protein purification but also simplify protein detection. • Maximum absorption wavelength of Pauly's reagent-stained histidine is 380 nm. • HRELP fusion tag can be specifically and quickly detected by Pauly reaction. • Colorimetric assay can quickly assess HRELP fusion protein expression levels. • Pauly staining quickly identifies overexpression of poly-histidine tagged proteins. This study proposes a model for sustainable education in fashion design through the development, implementation, and assessment of a specific curriculum. It employed the challenge-based learning (CBL) approach to facilitate the learning of concepts involving sustainability and sustainable fashion design, using a postgraduate course in South Korea as an illustrative case study. Qualitative research was undertaken, including observational evidence for describing students' learning experiences and outcomes and assessing the effects on students' sustainability competencies using a grounded theory-based interview analysis. The results demonstrate that CBL provides learners with sequential and organised design thinking procedures, compared to the traditional method in which defining each step of a design process is not crucial. CBL promotes the development of competencies in sustainability involving metacognition and metadisciplinary studies from students' genuine experiences, contributing to creative and problem-solving skills. We present a study on the potential use of sulfuric acid-treated poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) as a viable alternative to indium tin oxide (ITO) electrodes in quantum dot light-emitting diodes (QLEDs). ITO, despite its high conductivity and transparency, is known for its disadvantages of being brittle, fragile, and expensive. Furthermore, due to the high hole injection barrier of quantum dots, the need for electrodes with a higher work function is becoming more significant. In this report, we present solution-processed, sulfuric acid-treated PEDOT:PSS electrodes for highly efficient QLEDs. The high work function of the PEDOT:PSS electrodes improved the performance of the QLEDs by facilitating hole injection. We demonstrated the recrystallization and conductivity enhancement of PEDOT:PSS upon sulfuric acid treatment using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Hall measurement. Ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS) analysis of QLEDs showed that sulfuric acid-treated PEDOT:PSS exhibited a higher work function than ITO. The maximum current efficiency and external quantum efficiency based on the PEDOT:PSS electrode QLEDs were measured as 46.53 cd/A and 11.01%, which were three times greater than ITO electrode QLEDs. These findings suggest that PEDOT:PSS can serve as a promising replacement for ITO electrodes in the development of ITO-free QLED devices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Plant cells contain only small amounts of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA), with the genomic information shared among multiple mitochondria. The biological relevance and molecular mechanism underlying this hallmark of plant cells has been unclear. Here, we report that Arabidopsis thaliana plants exhibited significantly reduced growth and mitochondrial dysfunction when the mtDNA copy number was increased to the degree that each mitochondrion possessed DNA. The amounts of mitochondrion‐encoded transcripts increased several fold in the presence of elevated mtDNA levels. However, the efficiency of RNA editing decreased with this excess of mitochondrion‐encoded transcripts, resulting in impaired assembly of mitochondrial complexes containing mtDNA‐encoded subunits, such as respiratory complexes I and IV. These observations indicate the occurrence of nuclear–mitochondrial incompatibility in the cells with increased amounts of mtDNA and provide an initial answer to the fundamental question of why plant cells have much lower mtDNA levels than animal cells. We propose that keeping mtDNA levels low moderates nuclear–mitochondrial incompatibility and that this may be a crucial factor driving plant cells to restrict the copy numbers of mtDNA. Sanghuangporus refers to a group of rare medicinal fungi with remarkable therapeutic properties. However, current knowledge on the bioactive ingredients and antioxidant activities of different species of this genus is limited. In this study, a total of 15 wild strains from 8 species of Sanghuangporus were selected as the experimental materials for identification of the bioactive components (polysaccharide, polyphenol, flavonoid, triterpenoid, and ascorbic acid) and antioxidant activities (scavenging activities against hydroxyl, superoxide, DPPH, and ABTS radicals; superoxide dismutase activity; and ferric reducing ability of plasma). Notably, individual strains contained different levels of various indicators, among which Sanghuangporus baumii Cui 3573, S. sanghuang Cui 14419 and Cui 14441, S. vaninii Dai 9061, and S. zonatus Dai 10841 displayed the strongest activities. The correlation analysis of bioactive ingredients and antioxidant activities revealed that the antioxidant capacity of Sanghuangporus is mainly associated with the contents of flavonoid and ascorbic acid, followed by polyphenol and triterpenoid, and finally, polysaccharide. Together, the results obtained from the comprehensive and systematic comparative analyses contribute further potential resources and critical guidance for the separation, purification, and further development and utilization of bioactive agents from wild Sanghuangporus species, as well as the optimization of their artificial cultivation conditions. This paper describes a parametric study using discrete element modeling (DEM) of partial mining in a mountain terrain with in situ pillars for overburden support. For room and pillar mining or strip pillar mining, the accurate estimation of pillar stress is essential to ensure pillar stability and mine safety. Classical mine design methods such as the tributary area theory (TAT) and the pressure arch theory (PAT) are commonly used to calculate the pillar stress for mines under a relatively flat terrain. However, mine sites with uneven terrains can result in nonuniform stress distributions in the mine system and the classical methods may underestimate the pillar stresses by several times. In this paper, 1200 DEM mine models with terrains that include either a single slope or a valley, have been constructed. Through rigorous numerical modeling, the effects of several design parameters are identified: The influence factors, influence range, and mechanism of the concentrated pillar stresses computed from the models indicate that the shape of an extended pressure arch (EPA) can dictate the accuracy of the TAT and PAT methods. Based on the EPA estimation, a pillar stress estimation method is proposed for the design of mines in mountainous terrains. This paper updated the method of terrain-induced pillar stress concentrations with an improved EPA theory, and the gap between PAT and TAT theories is addressed by further discussion on their relationship and applicability. Horticulture productivity has been increasingly restricted by heat stress from growing global warming, making it far below the optimum production capacity. As a popular ornamental cultivar of tree peony, Paeonia suffruticosa 'Yu Hong' has also been suffering from heat stress not suitable for its optimal growth. To better understand the response mechanisms against heat stress of tree peony, investigations of phenotypic changes, physiological responses, and quantitative proteomics were conducted. Phenotypic and physiological changes indicated that 24 h of exposure to heat stress (40 °C) was the critical duration of heat stress in tree peony. The proteomic analyses revealed a total of 100 heat-responsive proteins (HRPs). According to bioinformatic analysis of HRPs, the heat tolerance of tree peony might be related to signal transduction, synthesis/degradation, heat kinetic proteins, antioxidants, photosynthesis, energy conversion, and metabolism. Our research will provide some new insights into the molecular mechanism under the response against the heat stress of tree peony, which will benefit the future breeding of heat-resistant ornamental plants. Developing and utilizing solar to chemical energy conversion is a promising and efficient approach to green carbon-neutral energy systems. Herein, we report a facile solvothermal reaction strategy using black phosphorus (BP) nanosheets coupled with bismuth oxychloride (BiOCl) to prepare uniform BP/BiOCl composite nanocatalysts with enhanced wide-spectrum light absorption and electron-rich P modulated surface acid–base properties. BP/BiOCl possesses a typical layered structure showing the features of excellent separation of electron–hole pairs and electron transfer for efficient photocatalytic CO2 reduction to CO. Notably, the engineered BP/BiOCl nanocomposite with substantial BP–BiOCl synergy exhibits a superior CO production rate of up to 260 μmol g−1 h−1, which is 130 and 13 times higher than those of BP and BiOCl counterparts, respectively. Meanwhile, the BP/BiOCl material shows excellent photostability for CO2 transformation under visible light irradiation. The 13C isotope labeling experiment confirms that the carbon source of C-containing products is derived from the CO2 substrate during the photocatalysis process. The S-scheme mechanism involving excited electron transfer and direct participation in chemical activation of inert CO2 molecules, generation of key intermediate CO*, and final gas products for photocatalytic CO2 reduction over the BP/BiOCl composite is thus proposed. To construct a protein arginine methyltransferase 1 (PRMT1) knockout human embryonic kidney cell line 293T (HEK293T/293T) and elucidate the effect on the proliferation of 293T cells, we generated a PRMT1 protein knockout 293T cell line with the clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/CRISPR-associated nuclease9 (CRISPR/Cas9) gene editing and performed flow cytometry. Single edited 293T cells were screened by DNA sequencing and protein immunoblotting. Furthermore, the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) and colony formation assays were performed to detect the effect of PRMT1 knockout on the proliferation of 293T cells, and the effects on 293T cell cycle distribution and apoptosis after PRMT1 knockout were analyzed by flow cytometry. The expression levels of c-Myc, a proliferation-related protein, and caspase-8, which classically triggers the extrinsic apoptotic pathway, in the wild-type (WT) 293T cell line and PRMT1 knockout cell lines were detected via western blotting. The cellular experimental results showed that knockout of PRMT1 inhibited the growth rate and clonal formation ability of 293T cells. In addition, 293T cells were arrested at the G2/M phase, and the proportion of apoptotic cells was increased as a result of PRMT1 depletion. Moreover, the expression levels of c-Myc and caspase-8 in the PRMT1 knockout cells were decreased compared with those in the WT 293T cells. Conclusion: Knockout of PRMT1 repressed the proliferation of 293T cells, more specifically, altering the distribution of cell cycle phases in 293T cells and promoting cell apoptosis of 293T cells. Artificial photocatalysis offers a clean approach for producing H2O2. However, the poor selectivity and activity of H2O2 production hamper traditional industrial applications and emerging photodynamic therapy (PDT)/chemodynamic therapy (CDT). Herein, we report a C5N2 photocatalyst with a conjugated C=N linkage for selective and efficient non‐sacrificial H2O2 production in both normoxic and hypoxic systems. The strengthened delocalization of π‐electrons by linkers in C5N2 downshifted the band position, thermodynamically eliminating side H2 evolution reaction and kinetically promoting water oxidation. As a result, C5N2 had a competitive solar‐to‐chemical conversion efficiency of 0.55 % in overall H2O2 production and exhibited by far the highest activity under hypoxic conditions (698 μM h−1). Continual learning paradigm learns from a continuous stream of tasks in an incremental manner and aims to overcome the notorious issue: the catastrophic forgetting. In this work, we propose a new adaptive progressive network framework including two models for continual learning: Reinforced Continual Learning (RCL) and Bayesian Optimized Continual Learning with Attention mechanism (BOCL) to solve this fundamental issue. The core idea of this framework is to dynamically and adaptively expand the neural network structure upon the arrival of new tasks. RCL and BOCL employ reinforcement learning and Bayesian optimization to achieve it, respectively. An outstanding advantage of our proposed framework is that it will not forget the knowledge that has been learned through adaptively controlling the architecture. We propose effective ways of employing the learned knowledge in the two methods to control the size of the network. RCL employs previous knowledge directly while BOCL selectively utilizes previous knowledge (e.g., feature maps of previous tasks) via attention mechanism. The experiments on variants of MNIST, CIFAR-100 and Sequence of 5-Datasets demonstrate that our methods outperform the state-of-the-art in preventing catastrophic forgetting and fitting new tasks better under the same or less computing resource. The experiment was to analyze and compare the biological yield, nutrient composition, total nutrient per unit area and nutrient degradation effect of 48 h rumen in vitroamong conventional maize harvest, live stalk harvest and whole plant maize silage harvest. A randomized block design was used, with three different harvest periods, namely conventional harvest, live stalk harvest and whole corn silage harvest, and three replicate plots were set up for each harvest period. The results showed that when the dry matter (DM) of whole plant maize silage was 33.76%, the biological yield was the highest (21.78 t/hm²), which was significantly higher than that of conventional harvest and live stem harvest (19.22, 20.13 t/hm²) (P<0.05). The crude protein (CP) content of conventionally harvested corn grains was significantly higher than that of corn stover and corn cob (P<0.05). The CP yield of whole plant corn silage harvest was significantly higher than that of conventional harvest and live culm harvest (P<0.05), the crude fiber (CF) yield of whole plant corn silage harvest was significantly higher than that of conventional harvest and live culm harvest (P<0.05), and the total energy (GE) of whole plant corn silage harvest was significantly higher than that of conventional harvest and live culm harvest (P<0.05). The in vitro degradation rates of DM and CP of whole corn silage harvest were significantly higher than those of conventional harvest and live stalk harvest (P<0.05). The total amount of biodegradable DM and neutral detergent fiber (NDF) per unit area of rumen in vitro at 48 h after whole corn silage harvest was significantly higher than that after conventional harvest and live stem harvest (P<0.05). The experiment indicates that of the whole plant corn harvest forage production of biological yield, nutrition composition and digestible nutrition has significant influence, whole plant corn silage harvest can get the best digest nutrient efficiency, prolong the grain harvest can reduce the biological yield and the amount of digestible nutrients. It is promising to devise a signal-amplified ratiometric electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensing platform owing to the eliminated external interference and increased analysis reliability in complex samples. Herein, a spatially resolved ratiometric ECL immunosensor for myoglobin (Myo) detection was developed via resonance energy transfer (RET) for signal amplification. In the ECL system, Ru(bpy)32+-conjugated silica nanoparticles (Ru(bpy)32+@RuSi NPs) and sulfur quantum dots (SQDs) used as the potential-resolved ECL emitters were modified on two spatially resolved electrodes, respectively. Au@Ag2S NPs with a wide light absorption range could serve as perfect acceptors of Ru(bpy)32+@RuSi NPs, between which an effective RET could occur. For Myo detection, the signal from the Ru(bpy)32+@RuSi NP-modified electrode for Myo with various concentrations acted as the working signal (ECLanode) and that from the SQD electrode for Myo with fixed concentration served as a reference signal (ECLcathode). Owing to the steric hindrance and effective RET between Ru(bpy)32+@RuSi NPs and Au@Ag2S NPs, the working signal presented a great decrease in the presence of Myo. The ratio of ECLanode to ECLcathode showed a linear relationship with the logarithm of the Myo concentration in the range from 1.0 × 10−13 to 1.0 × 10−7 g mL−1. The limit of detection of the fabricated biosensor was 5.0 × 10−14 g mL−1. Moreover, it continued to show favorable detection results in human serum samples with recoveries ranging from 83.0 to 110%. The RET and ratiometric strategy on the spatially resolved platform endow the method with the merits of high selectivity, sensitivity, and accuracy and it can be envisioned that the method would provide a general tool for biomarker analysis. Two water-soluble single-benzene-based chromophores, 2,5-di(azetidine-1-yl)-tereph- thalic acid (DAPA) and its disodium carboxylate (DAP-Na), were conveniently obtained. Both chromophores preserved moderate quantum yields in a wide range of polar and protonic solvents. Spectroscopic studies demonstrated that DAPA exhibited red luminescence as well as large Stokes shift (>200 nm) in aqueous solutions. Femtosecond transient absorption spectra illustrated quadrupolar DAPA usually involved the formation of an intramolecular charge transfer state. Its Frank–Condon state could be rapidly relaxed to a slight symmetry-breaking state upon light excitation following the solvent relaxation, then the slight charge separation may occur and the charge localization became partially asymmetrical in polar environments. Density functional theory (DFT) calculation results were supported well with the experimental measurements. Unique pH-dependent fluorescent properties endows the two chromophores with rapid, highly selective, and sensitive responses to the amino acids in aqueous media. In detail, DAPA served as a fluorescence turn-on probe with a detection limit (DL) of 0.50 μM for Arg and with that of 0.41 μM for Lys. In contrast, DAP-Na featured bright green luminescence and showed fluorescence turn-off responses to Asp and Glu with the DLs of 0.12 μM and 0.16 μM, respectively. Meanwhile, these two simple-structure probes exhibited strong anti-interference ability towards other natural amino acids and realized visual identification of specific analytes. Microbially-mediated arsenic biotransformation plays a pivotal role in the biogeochemical cycling of arsenic; however, the presence of arsenic biotransformation genes (ABGs) in urban dust remains unclear. To investigate the occurrence and spatiotemporal distributions of ABGs, a total of one hundred and eighteen urban dust samples were collected from different districts of Xiamen city, China in summer and winter. Although inorganic arsenic species, including arsenate [As(V)] and arsenite [As(III)], were found to be predominant, the methylated arsenicals, particularly trimethylarsine oxide [TMAs(V)O] and dimethylarsenate [DMAs(V)], were detected in urban dust. Abundant ABGs were identified in urban dust via AsChip analysis (a high-throughput qPCR chip for ABGs), of which As(III) S -adenosylmethionine methyltransferase genes (arsM), As(V) reductase genes (arsC), As(III) oxidase genes (aioA), As(III) transporter genes (arsB), and arsenic-sensing regulator genes (arsR) were the most prevalent, collectively constituting more than 90 % of ABGs in urban dust. Microbes involved in arsenic methylation were assigned to bacteria (e.g., Actinomycetes and Alphaproteobacteria), archaea (e.g., Halobacteria), and eukaryotes (e.g., Chlamydomonadaceae) in urban dust via the arsM amplicon sequencing. Temperature, a season-dependent environmental factor, profoundly affected the abundance of ABGs and the composition of microbes involved in arsenic methylation. Purpose. To investigate the clinical value of interleukin 2 (IL-2), interleukin 4 (IL-4), interleukin 6 (IL-6), interleukin 10 (IL-10), tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α), and interferon-γ (IFN-γ) in diagnosis and severity assessment of lung cancer. Methods. In this observational study, 50 physical examination healthy subjects were included in the control group and 100 lung cancer patients were included in the study group. In the study group, 53 cases with pleural effusion were subgrouped to the pleural effusion group (n = 53), while 47 patients were assigned to the nonpleural effusion group (n = 47). Plasma cytokines IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, TNF-α, IFN-γ, and Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II (APACHE II) scores of all eligible subjects were collected and compared. Results. The study group showed significantly higher levels of plasma cytokines IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, TNF-α, and IFN-γ versus healthy subjects (P < 0.05). Deterioration of lung cancer was associated with increased plasma cytokine levels and APACHE II scores. The combination assay of the above plasma cytokines showed significantly better diagnostic efficacy for lung cancer versus the single assay of the cytokines. Dead patients had higher plasma cytokine levels versus survived patients. The accuracy of plasma IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, TNF-α, and IFN-γ levels in the severity assessment of lung cancer was comparable with that of the APACHE II scale. Conclusion. The plasma cytokines IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, TNF-α, and IFN-γ are effective markers for the diagnosis of lung cancer. The combined assay contributes to the early diagnosis of lung cancer patients, and the persistent elevation of cytokines suggests an increased risk of death in lung cancer patients, so the detection of cytokine levels facilitates the severity assessment of lung cancer. The combined study of Ce and Nd stable isotopes is promising because Ce and Nd behave similarly in geological processes and distinctively in redox reactions. However, the sequential purification of Ce and Nd from other REEs is particularly challenging because of their similar physicochemical properties. In this contribution, we present a novel two-stage ion-exchange chromatography method to purify Ce and then Nd using Bio-Rad AG50W-X12 (200–400 mesh) and Eichrom TODGA resin (50–100 μm). The yields of Ce and Nd are both typically more than 99.3% after measurements of natural materials. The potential influence of the HCl content and rock type were thoroughly evaluated. Stable Ce and Nd isotopic ratios were measured by MC-ICPMS and calibrated with Sm and Eu internal standards, respectively. The long-term external reproducibility was better than ±0.04‰ (2SD) for δ142/140Ce and ±0.03‰ (2SD) for δ146/144Nd. The stable Ce and Nd isotopic ratios of ten commercially accessible geological rocks were measured here. The δ142/140Ce values of four geological rocks were presented for the first time. Other results are in good accordance with reported values within analytical uncertainties. The similarity in the degree of Ce and Nd isotopic fractionation may be induced by diagenetic processes, whereas the difference may be accused by redox reactions. In addition, our method using a single sample aliquot can help to minimize the consumptions and heterogeneities of the samples. This procedure for a two-stage isolation of Ce and Nd and high-precision analysis of their isotopic ratios has important advantages in the study of Ce and Nd isotope geochemistry. This paper explores the relationship between the clinical value of vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein (VASP) in lung cancer tissue and its diagnosis and severity. Totally 100 patients who were clinically diagnosed with lung cancer from January 2018 to December 2020 were enrolled in our study. They were assigned into two groups according to the presence of lymph node metastasis. The VASP levels were measured by flow cytometry. The correlation between the expression of VASP in tumor tissue and the clinical characteristics and prognosis in patients was analyzed. The diagnostic efficacy of plasma VASP with squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCC), neuron-specific enolase (NSE), cytokeratin-19 fragment (CYFRA21-1), prosecretin-releasing peptide (proGRP), and lung cancer was analyzed. The results were compared with APACHE III score to evaluate the accuracy of VASP in determining the severity of patients. This paper finds that the value of VASP in the non-lymph node metastasis group was significantly higher than that in the healthy control group, and the VASP level in the lymph node metastasis group was significantly higher than that in the non-lymph node metastasis group and the healthy control group (all p values <0.05). The APACHE III score of the lymph node metastasis group was higher than that of the non-lymph node metastasis group (p value <0.05). The diagnostic efficacy of VASP is similar to that of SCC, NSE, CYFRA21-1, and proGRP. The plasma VASP value was statistically different in the survival group and the death group, with higher level observed in the death group compared to survival group (all p values <0.05). The value of plasma VASP alone and acute physiology and chronic health evaluations III (APACHE III) score for lung cancer mortality was similar (47.06% vs. 52.94%, p value >0.05). Similar accuracy was observed in VASP and APACHE III score in predicting mortality of lung cancer (84.37% vs. 85.77%, p value>0.05). Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is the most serious infectious disease pandemic in the world in a century, and has had a serious impact on the health, safety, and social and economic development of all mankind. Since the earth entered the "Anthropocene", human activities have become the most important driving force of the evolution of the earth system. At the same time, the epidemic frequency of major human infectious diseases worldwide has been increasing, with more than 70% of novel diseases having zoonotic origins. The review of several major epidemics in human history shows that there is a common rule, i.e., changes in the natural environment have an important and profound impact on the occurrence and development of epidemics. Therefore, the impact of the natural environment on the current COVID-19 pandemic and its mechanisms have become scientific issues that need to be resolved urgently. From the perspective of the natural environment, this study systematically investigated several major issues concerning the environmental transmission and risk prevention of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). From a macroscopic temporal and spatial scale, the research focus on understand the impact of the destruction of the natural environment and global changes on the outbreak of infectious diseases; the threat of zoonotic diseases to human health; the regularity for virus diffusion, migration and mutation in environmental media; the mechanisms of virus transmission from animals and environmental media to humans; and environmental safety, secondary risk prevention and control of major epidemics. Suggestions were made for future key research directions and issues that need attention, with a view to providing a reference for the prevention and control of the global coronavirus disease 2019, and to improving the ability of response to major public health emergencies. Background. In previous studies, electroacupuncture (EA) with 2/15 Hz has been shown to enhance the sedative effects in general anesthesia patients. Central lateral thalamic stimulation of 50 Hz showed an arousal effect in macaques. Therefore, it is worth studying the sedative effect of EA at peripheral acupoints with different frequencies, especially the frequency of around 50 Hz. Methods. Rats were anesthetized under the constant infusion of propofol and EA at Zusanli (ST36) and Neiguan (PC6) locations. Electroencephalography (EEG) and heart rate were continuously recorded before and after the intervention by EA in the C group (control), LEA group (low-frequency group, 2/15 Hz diffuse/dense wave EA stimulation), and HEA group (high-frequency group, 50 Hz stimulation). Results. In the LEA group, a significant increase in the power of the delta component with a decrease in the alpha component p < 0.05 was observed after EA stimulation. In the HEA group, significant increases in the powers of alpha and beta components of EEG p < 0.05 and a decrease in the delta component of EEG were observed p < 0.05 . The phenomenon is also shown in full-frequency waves. In addition, a significant decrease in the low-frequency/high-frequency ratio parameter was observed in the LEA group. Conclusions. EA at bilateral ST36 and PC6 can enhance the sedative effects of propofol anesthesia in low-frequency stimulation but lighten the sedative effects in high-frequency (50 Hz) stimulation. Objective: To observe expression of CD38, a key modulator of nicotinamide dinucleotide (NAD+) metabolism in mice with knee osteoarthritis, and protective effect of CD38 inhibition during the osteoarthritis (OA) development. Method: The destabilization of the medial meniscus (DMM) model was performed in mice to mimic the process of OA. Immunofluorescence of CD38 was performed to evaluate its response during the OA process. Limb bud‐derived mesenchymal cells were isolated for micromass culture. 100 nM or 1 μM CD38 inhibitor (78c) treatment for 14 days and CD38 sgRNA infection were then used to explore the effects of chondrogenic differentiation via Alcian blue staining. The expressions of chondrogenic markers were detected using RT‐PCR and Western blot. To explore the protective effect of CD38 inhibitor on cartilage degradation during OA in vivo, a CD38 inhibitor was injected into the knee joint after DMM operations. Micro‐CT analysis and Safranin O‐fast green staining were used to evaluate subchondral bone micro‐architecture changes and cartilage degeneration. Results: Compared to the control group, the CD38 expression in superficial cartilage was obviously increased in DMM group (P < 0.05). During the normal chondrogenic differentiation, the extracellular matrix formed and expression of Sox9, Col2, aggrecan increased apparently while CD38 expression decreased, which could be reversed with ablation of CD38 in limb bud‐derived mesenchymal cells. Consistent with findings in vitro, CD38 blockage via CD38 inhibitor injection protected against osteosclerosis in medial subchondral bone and cartilage degeneration in DMM‐induced experimental mice. Compared to the Sham group, DMM mice showed significantly increased values of BV and BV/TV in subchondral bone (P < 0.05) and Mankin score, which could be rescued by 78c treatment (P < 0.05). Also the CD38 inhibitor contributed to homeostasis of anabolism and catabolism by upregulating Sox9, Col2, aggrecan and downregulating Runx2, Col10 and Mmp13. Conclusion: This study primarily implicates CD38 as an important regulator of chondrogenic differentiation. Four new pentacyclic triterpenoids named Sabiadiscolor A–D (1 and 7–9) together with eleven known ones were isolated by repeated column chromatography. Their structures were identified and characterized by NMR and MS spectral data as 6 oleanane-type pentacyclic triterpenoids (1–6), 7 ursane-type ones (7–13), and 2 lupanane-type ones (14–15). Except for compound 15, all other compounds were isolated from Sabia discolor Dunn for the first time. Their α-glycosidase inhibitory activities were evaluated, which showed that compounds 1, 3, 8, 9, 13, and 15 implied remarkable activities with IC50 values ranging from 0.09 to 0.27 μM, and the preliminary structure–activity relationship was discussed. A mild and efficient photocatalytic C–H bond activation strategy has been developed based on organic small molecules. A combination of the excellent redox-active activity of the pyridinium unit and Brønsted basic site of the N-heterocyclic unit offers a concerted pathway for H abstraction through concomitant proton and electron transfer, thus solving the key dehydrogenation process of C–H bond activation. The photocatalytic system shows high performance in selective oxidation of ethylbenzene, toluene and its homologue, and a gram-level conversion of p-xylene into terephthalic acid has been achieved at room temperature under an air atmosphere without any co-catalysts and additives. In this paper, a viscous shock wave under space-periodic perturbation of 1-D isentropic Navier-Stokes system in the half space is investigated. It is shown that if the initial periodic perturbation around the viscous shock wave is small, then the solution time asymptotically tends to a viscous shock wave with a shift partially determined by the periodic oscillations. Moreover the strength of shock wave could be arbitrarily large. This result essentially improves the previous work Matsumura and Mei (1999) [14] where the strength of shock satisfies some restrictions and the initial periodic oscillations vanish. In times of prolonged economic doldrums across the globe, multinational firms (MNFs) offshoring blunders can undermine their competitiveness in the marketplace. To help the MNF formulate a more resilient offshoring strategy and identify the most desirable offshoring destination, this article aims to identify dynamic risk factors that significantly hinder the efficiency of offshoring and then measure specific offshoring risks over time using two different versions of data envelopment analysis (DEA) models and Malmquist productivity index (MPI). After assessing the degree of risk resiliency of the offshoring host countries over extended periods and then conducting Tobit regression analysis to identify key factors that significantly influence offshoring risks, we found that the host country's logistics efficiency (i.e., logistics performance index [LPI]) and domestic market size were critical indicators of offshoring success in that country. Since low‐cost sourcing countries (LCCs) tend to have relatively low LPIs and smaller domestic market sizes, they are not attractive offshoring destinations. This finding defies conventional wisdom. Obesity and metabolic syndrome alter serum lipid profiles. They also increase vulnerability to viral infections and worsen the survival rate and symptoms after infection. How serum lipids affect influenza virus proliferation is unclear. Here, we investigated the effects of lysophosphatidylcholines on influenza A virus (IAV) proliferation. IAV particles in the culture medium were titrated using extraction-free quantitative PCR, and viral RNA and protein levels were assessed using real-time PCR and Western blot, respectively. RNA sequencing data were analyzed using PCA and heatmap analysis, and pathway analysis was performed using the KEGG mapper and PathIN tools. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS21.0. LPC treatment of THP-1 cells significantly increased IAV proliferation and IAV RNA and protein levels, and saturated LPC was more active in IAV RNA expression than unsaturated LPC was. The functional analysis of genes affected by LPCs showed that the expression of genes involved in IAV signaling, such as suppressor of cytokine signaling 3 (SOCS3), phosphoinositide-3-kinase regulatory subunit 3 (PI3K) and AKT serine/threonine kinase 3 (AKT3), Toll-like receptor 7 (TKR7), and interferon gamma receptor 1 (IFNGR1), was changed by LPC. Altered influenza A pathways were linked with MAPK and PI3K/AKT signaling. Treatment with inhibitors of MAPK or PI3K attenuated viral gene expression changes induced by LPCs. The present study shows that LPCs stimulated virus reproduction by modifying the cellular environment to one in which viruses proliferated better. This was mediated by the MAPK, JNK, and PI3K/AKT pathways. Further animal studies are needed to confirm the link between LPCs from serum or the respiratory system and IAV proliferation. • The cationic iMOF-Ni is ideal for the solid-phase extraction of bisphenols. • An effective method to quantify bisphenols in food was established. • Possible adsorption mechanisms were discussed for further method development. • The performance of SPE column is better than most commercial columns. A novel cationic metal–organic framework (iMOF-Ni) was designed and synthesized by a solvothermal method. It was fabricated as a solid-phase extraction (SPE) cartridge and exhibited high adsorption performance for Bisphenols (BPs). The theoretical simulation demonstrated that the adsorption mechanism between iMOF-Ni and BPs was attributed to cation-π bonding, π-π interaction, and electrostatic interactions. Under optimized SPE, a method for analyzing BPs was established by combining high-performance liquid chromatography-diode array detection (HPLC-DAD). The developed method has good linearity (R2 ≥ 0.994), low detection limits (0.07–0.16 ng/mL), and good reproducibility (1.72–6.35 %, n = 6). In the clinical setting, chemotherapy is the most widely used antitumor treatment, however, chemotherapy resistance significantly limits its efficacy. Reduced drug influx is a key mechanism of chemoresistance, and inhibition of the complexity of the tumor microenvironment (TME) may improve chemotherapy drug influx and therapeutic efficiency. In the current study, we identified that the major extracellular matrix protein collagen I is more highly expressed in lung cancer tissues than adjacent tissues in patients with lung cancer. Furthermore, Kaplan–Meier analysis suggested that COL1A1 expression was negatively correlated with the survival time of patients with lung cancer. Our previous study demonstrated that miR-29a inhibited collagen I expression in lung fibroblasts. Here, we investigated the effect of miR-29a on collagen I expression and the cellular behavior of lung cancer cells. Our results suggest that transfection with miR-29a could prevent Lewis lung carcinoma (LLC) migration by downregulating collagen I expression, but did not affect the proliferation, apoptosis, and cell cycle of LLC cells. In a 3D tumoroid model, we demonstrated that miR-29a transfection significantly increased cisplatin (CDDP) permeation and CDDP-induced cell death. Furthermore, neutral lipid emulsion-based miR-29a delivery improved the therapeutic effect of cisplatin in an LLC spontaneous tumor model in vivo. Identifying key flavor compounds and their producing bacteria in sour bamboo shoots is crucial for flavor stabilization and industrial production. This study analyzed 15 traditional sour bamboo shoot samples from northern Guangdong to determine key flavor substances and microbial community. Results showed key flavor substances were acetic acid (RTC ≥ 50% in 10 samples), lactic acid (RTC ≥ 50% in 5 samples), and p-cresol (ROC ≥ 93%). Lactobacillus (ARA: 54.62%) was the dominant genus, significantly correlated with p-cresol (r = 0.80, p ≤ 0.01). Levilactobacillus (ARA: 3.33%) was positively correlated with lactic acid and p-cresol (r = 0.78, p ≤ 0.01; r = 0.66, p ≤ 0.01). Lentilactobacillus (ARA: 4.29%) was positively correlated with acetic acid (r = 0.85, p ≤ 0.01). Levilactobacillus was isolated, screened, identified, and its ability to produce key flavor substances was tested. Four strains of Levilactobacillus spicheri and their mixed strains produced lactic acid (10.12–16.62 g/kg), acetic acid (10.21–21.60 g/kg), and p-cresol (25.67–143.87 mg/kg). Real-world design projects often involve designers and non-design professionals from the same or different organisations. Power asymmetries permeate such projects. However, prevailing design research implicitly assumes that framing—an essential practice that pervades the design process—unfolds within relatively equitable interpersonal negotiations. The dynamics in framing across the individual and collective levels under power asymmetric conditions remain largely underexplored. We conducted a cross-level analysis of 48 early-stage product design sessions, drawing on a field study conducted at a design consultancy. Our findings reveal how power asymmetries infiltrate and shape frame evolution, starting from individual proposals to eventual collective acceptance. LRK10L-2 is known to be related to the plant disease response, little information is available about the relationship of LRK10L-2 and fruit ripening. The protein physicochemical properties, conserved domains, gene structures, subcellular localization, expression patterns during grape fruit development and promoter activity of the members of grape LRK10L-2 gene family were explored in this study. A total of 109 LRK10L-2 family gene members were identified, and mainly distributed on chromosome 16. Almost all of them were located in the plasma membrane. Most of the LRK10L-2 genes contain four or five motifs, ranging from 0 to 5 introns and have the cis-acting elements related to hormones in their promoter regions. There were 20 pairs of tandem duplicates and 293 pairs of segmental duplication in LRK10L-2 family genes. It was proved that the expression of LRK10L-2 gene varied at the different fruit development stages of 'Kyoho' and its early-ripening bud mutant, 'Fengzao'. The subcellular localization of VIT_16s0098g00160 and VIT_16s0098g00400 were in the plasma membrane, and had a significant enrichment of the GUS signal in N.benthamiana leaves for the promoter. Donor-recipient size-matching has been repeatedly reported to improve outcomes following lung transplantation (LTx). However, there is significant variability in practice and the optimal strategy for size-matching is yet to be defined. For recipients with ILD, size-matching decisions are complicated by concerns regarding the potential impact of pre-LTx pulmonary restriction. We evaluate whether a specific donor-to-recipient size-matching strategy, based on predicted total lung capacity, benefits this patient group. This retrospective, single-centre, cohort study describes the post-LTx outcomes of adults who underwent LTx for ILD between 1983 and 2020. Only patients with restrictive physiology, based on pre-LTx pulmonary function testing were included. Post-LTx outcomes were compared based on donor-recipient predicted TLC (D-R pTLC) ratio. A D-R pTLC ratio of ≥0.8 or <1.2 for DLTx, and a D-R pTLC ratio of ≥0.8 or <1.0 for SLTx were classified as 'size-matched'. Five-hundred and fifty LTx recipients met inclusion criteria. Of these, 404 underwent DLTx and 146 underwent SLTx. Size-matching was achieved in 78% of DLTx and 47% of SLTx. Overall survival (p = 0.007) and CLAD-free survival (p < 0.001) was significantly improved following a size-matched DLTx, compared to those with D-R pTLC ratios <0.8 or ≥1.2. Size-matching based on a D-R pTLC ratio 0.8≥ <1.0 for SLTX did not significantly improve survival. D-R pTLC size-matching, based on a ratio of 0.8≥ <1.2 improved post-DLTx outcomes for patients with restrictive lung disease. We study the steady-state quantum phase transition of the Jaynes–Cummings–Hubbard model with quantized center-of-mass motions by using a mean-field method. Four different quantum phases emerge due to the interplay between the atom–photon interaction modulated by the center-of-mass motion and the tunneling of photons. Importantly, as the amplitude of the atomic oscillations increases, the phase boundaries will become more and more blurred.
