A thermal dynamic disaster in the goaf is one of the most serious coal mine disasters formed by coal spontaneous combustion and gas interweaving. However, the influence of the high-temperature hidden fire source formed in the goaf on the evolution law of thermal dynamic disasters is not clear, and effective prevention and control measures cannot be taken. Therefore, this paper uses the experimental platform of thermal dynamic disaster in the goaf to study the influence of different fire point positions on the development of thermal dynamic disaster in the goaf through a similar simulation experiment of thermal dynamic disaster evolution in the goaf and analyzes the corresponding relationship between temperature and CO concentration in the upper corner. The results show that under different locations of heat source, the high-temperature heat source of coal spontaneous combustion migrates to the air leakage side with sufficient oxygen supply, and an oxygen-poor circle is formed near the ignition point. Under the action of air leakage flow, CH4 accumulates in the deep part of the goaf on the return air side. Due to the increase in coal, part of CH4 is produced, which leads to the increase in concentration of CH4 at the ignition point. Under the action of different heat sources, the changing trend of concentration of CO and temperature in the return air corner is the same, but the temperature change in the return air corner shows a lag compared with the change in the concentration of CO, so concentration monitoring of CO can reflect the evolution process of the fire field in the goaf more quickly than temperature monitoring. Hypophthalmichthys nobilis are widely distributed in the Yangtze River basin and its related lakes. They are an important economic fish species and are a famous cultured species known as the "Four Famous Domestic Fishes" in China. Currently, with the fishing ban in the Yangtze River basin, fishing for H. nobilis in the natural water bodies of the Yangtze River basin has been completely prohibited. In order to identify the sources of H. nobilis appearing in the market, further control and accountability is necessary to trace the sources of H. nobilis in the Yangtze River basin and its related water bodies. Therefore, this study identified and traced different sources of H. nobilis through muscle element fingerprint analysis (EFA). The results show that H. nobilis from different stations have characteristic element compositions. The characteristic element of H. nobilis from Wuhan (WH) is Pb, which is significantly higher than that in other stations; the characteristic element from Anqing (AQ) is Hg, which is significantly higher than that in other stations; and the characteristic element from Taihu (TH) is Al, which is significantly higher than that in other water areas. Multivariate analysis selected different spatial distribution patterns in four discriminative element ratios (Pb/Ca, Cr/Ca, Na/Ca, and Al/Ca) in the muscle of H. nobilis in the Yangtze River basin and its related lakes. This study suggests that the screened discriminative elements can be used to visually distinguish different sources of H. nobilis and to quickly trace and verify the origin of newly emerging samples. Therefore, the use of selected discriminative element fingerprint features to trace the origin of new samples has been proven to be feasible. By further discriminating and verifying the muscle element fingerprints of new samples, the discrimination rate is high. Fractures and bone nonunion commonly require surgical intervention. Serious outcomes of non‐healing in the late stages of fracture place a significant financial burden on society and families. Bone nonunion occurs when a fracture stops healing, for many reasons, and leads to a variety of bad outcomes. Numerous factors, including biomechanics and immunology, are involved in the complicated mechanisms of bone nonunion. The immune‐inflammatory response plays a significant part in the emergence of bone nonunion, and the occurrence, control, and remission of inflammation in the bone healing process have a significant influence on the ultimate success of bone tissue repair. In the bone microenvironment, immune cells and associated cytokines control bone repair, which is significantly influenced by macrophages, T cells, and fibroblast growth factor. To limit acute inflammation and balance osteogenesis and osteoblastogenesis for tissue repair and regeneration, immune cells and various cytokines in the local microenvironment must be precisely regulated. As a bad complication of late‐stage fractures, bone nonunion has a significant effect on patients' quality of life and socioeconomic development. Therefore, in‐depth research on its pathogenesis and treatment methods has important clinical value. To provide more precise, focused therapeutic options for the treatment of bone nonunion, we discuss the regulatory roles of the key immune cells engaged in bone healing within the microenvironment during bone healing and their effect on osteogenesis. AbstractObjectives: We investigated how internalized homonegativity and dyadic stress predicted relationship satisfaction in same-sex romantic relationships and explored the moderating roles of dyadic coping and relationship duration in the aforementioned associations. Methods: The actor-partner interdependence moderation model (APIMoM) was introduced to deal with mutual influences between both partners in 241 same-sex romantic relationships. Results: (1) individual internalized homonegativity, dyadic stress, and dyadic coping predict their own relationship satisfaction (i.e., actor effect); (2) individual dyadic stress predicts their partner’s relationship satisfaction (i.e., partner effect), but only for those with a shorter relationship duration (i.e., ≤ 36 months); and (3) dyadic coping buffers the effect of individual dyadic stress on their own relationship satisfaction, but only for those in the group with a longer relationship durations (i.e., > 36 months). Conclusions: These findings highlight the importance of a dyadic approach to further understand the impact of stress on relationship satisfaction. Objective Background Method Results Conclusion Implications The present study conducted a meta‐analysis to synthesize the associations between sexual minority stress and relationship satisfaction, as well as to examine actor and partner effects.Sexual minority individuals in same‐sex couples experience various distinct and chronic stressors related to their stigmatized identities and romantic relationships, and these stressors negatively impact relationship satisfaction. Although there have been two meta‐analyses that sought to examine these influences, some fundamental questions remain unanswered. In particular, the roles of dyadic processes and different types of sexual minority stressors remain unclear.A comprehensive search identified 67 studies with 147 effect sizes representing 24,542 individuals.The results revealed a significant small association (r = −.100 to −.188) between sexual minority stressors and relationship satisfaction. Internalized stressors were more strongly associated with relationship satisfaction than other types of sexual minority stressors (e.g., prejudice events and concealment). Dyadic analyses demonstrated a significant actor effect of concealment, experiencing prejudice events, and internalized stressors on relationship satisfaction, with the largest effect size for concealment effects.These findings suggest that sexual minority stressors could potentially contribute to same‐sex relational problems. They also underscore the importance of interdependence (both partners' responses as well as their interaction with sexual minority stressors). This paper studies the process of SiC abrasive particles abrasive flow machining iron-carbon alloy surface through molecular dynamics simulation from the microscopic angle of different cutting angles SiC particles cutting force, workpiece atomic energy, workpiece atomic displacement, workpiece internal lattice structure and dislocation variation law, explore and clarify the SiC abrasive particles micro-cutting iron-carbon alloy mechanism. The results show that, in the micro-cutting process, when the cutting angle of the abrasive increases, the working surface of the iron-carbon alloy will produce deeper cutting marks, the cutting force of the SiC particles and the atomic energy of the workpiece have an significant upward trend, the atomic displacement is more complex, the lattice deformation is intensified, and the reconstruction and amorphous phase transformation occur, the number of dislocations increases, and the distribution is denser, and the surface machining quality of the workpiece decreases. Therefore, selecting a smaller cutting angle can reduce the probability of forming the workpiece's internal defect structure and improve the workpiece's surface machining quality. Self-supervised monocular depth estimation has opened up exciting possibilities for practical applications, including scene understanding, object detection, and autonomous driving, without the need for expensive depth annotations. However, traditional methods for single-image depth estimation encounter limitations in photometric loss due to a lack of geometric constraints, reliance on pixel-level intensity or color differences, and the assumption of perfect photometric consistency, leading to errors in challenging conditions and resulting in overly smooth depth maps with insufficient capture of object boundaries and depth transitions. To tackle these challenges, we propose MFFENet, which leverages multi-level semantic and boundary-aware features to improve depth estimation accuracy. MFFENet extracts multi-level semantic features using our modified HRFormer approach. These features are then fed into our decoder and enhanced using attention mechanisms to enrich the boundary information generated by Laplacian pyramid residuals. To mitigate the weakening of semantic features during convolution processes, we introduce a feature-enhanced combination strategy. We also integrate the DeconvUp module to improve the restoration of depth map boundaries. We introduce a boundary loss that enforces constraints between object boundaries. We propose an extended evaluation method that utilizes Laplacian pyramid residuals to evaluate boundary depth. Extensive evaluations on the KITTI, Cityscapes, and Make3D datasets demonstrate the superior performance of MFFENet compared to state-of-the-art models in monocular depth estimation. Background: Deposition of amyloid β, which is produced by amyloidogenic cleavage of APP by β- and γ-secretase, is one of the primary hallmarks of AD pathology. APP can also be processed by α- and γ-secretase sequentially, to generate sAPPα, which has been shown to be neuroprotective by promoting neurite outgrowth and neuronal survival, etc. Methods: The global expression profiles of miRNA in blood plasma samples taken from 11 AD patients as well as from 14 age and sex matched cognitively normal volunteers were analyzed using miRNA-seq. Then, overexpressed miR-140 and miR-122 both in vivo and in vitro, and knock-down of the endogenous expression of miR-140 and miR-122 in vitro. Used a combination of techniques, including molecular biology, immunohistochemistry, to detect the impact of miRNAs on AD pathology. Results: In this study, we identified that two miRNAs, miR-140-3p and miR-122-5p, both targeting ADAM10, the main α-secretase in CNS, were upregulated in the blood plasma of AD patients. Overexpression of these two miRNAs in mouse brains induced cognitive decline in wild type C57BL/6J mice as well as exacerbated dyscognition in APP/PS1 mice. Although significant changes in APP and total Aβ were not detected, significantly downregulated ADAM10 and its non-amyloidogenic product, sAPPα, were observed in the mouse brains overexpressing miR-140/miR-122. Immunohistology analysis revealed increased neurite dystrophy that correlated with the reduced microglial chemotaxis in the hippocampi of these mice, independent of the other two ADAM10 substrates (neuronal CX3CL1 and microglial TREM2) that were involved in regulating the microglial immunoactivity. Further in vitro analysis demonstrated that both the reduced neuritic outgrowth of mouse embryonic neuronal cells overexpressing miR-140/miR-122 and the reduced Aβ phagocytosis in microglia cells co-cultured with HT22 cells overexpressing miR-140/miR-122 could be rescued by overexpressing the specific inhibitory sequence of miR-140/miR-122 TuD as well as by addition of sAPPα, rendering these miRNAs as potential therapeutic targets. Conclusions: Our results suggested that neuroprotective sAPPα was a key player in the neuropathological progression induced by dysregulated expression of miR-140 and miR-122. Chemical pretreatment is a common method to enhance the cumulative methane yield (CMY) of lignocellulosic waste (LW) but its effectiveness is subject to various factors, and accurate estimation of methane production of pretreated LW remains a challenge. Here, based on 254 LW samples, a machine learning (ML) model to predict the methane production performance of pretreated feedstock was constructed using two automated ML platforms (tree-based pipeline optimization tool and neural network intelligence). Furthermore, the interactive effects of pretreatment conditions, feedstock properties, and digestion conditions on methane production of pretreated LW were studied through model interpretability analysis. The optimal ML model performed well on the validation set, and the digestion time, pretreatment agent, and lignin content (LC) were found to be key factors affecting the methane production of pretreated LW. If the LC in the raw LW was lower than 15%, the maximum CMY might be achieved using the NaOH, KOH, and alkaline hydrogen peroxide (AHP) with concentrations of 3.8%, 4.4%, and 4.5%, respectively. On the other hand, if LC was higher than 15%, only high concentrations of AHP exceeding 4% could significantly increase methane production. This study provides valuable guidance for optimizing pretreatment process, comparing different chemical pretreatment approaches, and regulating the operation of large-scale biogas plants. Objective: This study aims to elucidate the functional role of IQGAP1 phosphorylation modification mediated by the SOX4/MAPK1 regulatory axis in developing pancreatic cancer through phosphoproteomics analysis. Methods: Proteomics and phosphoproteomics data of pancreatic cancer were obtained from the Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC) database. Differential analysis, kinase-substrate enrichment analysis (KSEA), and independent prognosis analysis were performed on these datasets. Subtype analysis of pancreatic cancer patients was conducted based on the expression of prognostic-related proteins, and the prognosis of different subtypes was evaluated through prognosis analysis. Differential analysis of proteins in different subtypes was performed to identify differential proteins in the high-risk subtype. Clinical correlation analysis was conducted based on the expression of prognostic-related proteins, pancreatic cancer typing results, and clinical characteristics in the pancreatic cancer proteomics dataset. Functional pathway enrichment analysis was performed using GSEA/GO/KEGG, and most module proteins correlated with pancreatic cancer were selected using WGCNA analysis. In cell experiments, pancreatic cancer cells were grouped, and the expression levels of SOX4, MAPK1, and the phosphorylation level of IQGAP1 were detected by RT-qPCR and Western blot experiments. The effect of SOX4 on MAPK1 promoter transcriptional activity was assessed using a dual-luciferase assay, and the enrichment of SOX4 on the MAPK1 promoter was examined using a ChIP assay. The proliferation, migration, and invasion functions of grouped pancreatic cancer cells were assessed using CCK-8, colony formation, and Transwell assays. In animal experiments, the impact of SOX4 on tumor growth and metastasis through the regulation of MAPK1-IQGAP1 phosphorylation modification was studied by constructing subcutaneous and orthotopic pancreatic cancer xenograft models, as well as a liver metastasis model in nude mice. Results: Phosphoproteomics and proteomics data analysis revealed that the kinase MAPK1 may play an important role in pancreatic cancer progression by promoting IQGAP1 phosphorylation modification. Proteomics analysis classified pancreatic cancer patients into two subtypes, C1 and C2, where the high-risk C2 subtype was associated with poor prognosis, malignant tumor typing, and enriched tumor-related pathways. SOX4 may promote the occurrence of the high-risk C2 subtype of pancreatic cancer by regulating MAPK1-IQGAP1 phosphorylation modification. In vitro cell experiments confirmed that SOX4 promoted IQGAP1 phosphorylation modification by activating MAPK1 transcription while silencing SOX4 inhibited the proliferation, migration, and invasion of pancreatic cancer cells by reducing the phosphorylation level of MAPK1-IQGAP1. In vivo, animal experiments further confirmed that silencing SOX4 suppressed the growth and metastasis of pancreatic cancer by reducing the phosphorylation level of MAPK1-IQGAP1. Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that SOX4 promotes the phosphorylation modification of IQGAP1 by activating MAPK1 transcription, thereby facilitating the growth and metastasis of pancreatic cancer. Mechanical computing has garnered significant interest as a supplement to traditional electronic computing, which often grapples with issues like high power consumption, security vulnerabilities, and susceptibility to extreme environmental conditions such as intense heat and radiation. Yet, most research in mechanical computing has been limited to the ad hoc design of simple logic gates and has not fully achieved the implementation of simple arithmetic computation within an electricity‐free framework. Additionally, progress in environmentally adaptive computing, crucial for decentralized intelligence, has also been slow. New ground is broken with the development of a mechanical transistor that synergizes a Kirigami thermomechanical sensor and a bistable actuator, enabling in‐memory computing for combinational and sequential logic. The design stands out by employing modular construction, symmetry breaking, and nonlinear materials, crafting logic gates, and memory units that respond to environmental stimuli through thermal delay. These transistors integrate design and material intelligence to establish nonvolatile memories, essential for logic‐in‐memory, and align thermal transport with mechanical deformation for environmental responsiveness. Bullying victimization is related to increased aggressive behaviour, but little research considers both self‐ (e.g., nonsuicidal self‐injury; NSSI) and other‐directed (e.g., cyberaggression) outcomes. Moreover, little is known about the mediating mechanisms that underlie this relationship. Based on the General Aggression Model, the current study investigates the mediating roles of Perceived ostracism (PO) and depression in the relationship between bullying victimization and cyberaggression/NSSI among emerging adult. A total of 795 emerging adults (Mage = 19.66 years, SD = 1.46; 59.9% female) completed a multimeasure questionnaire measuring the targeted variables at three time points over one year. Structural equation modelling was used to test temporal mediation. After controlling for gender, age, and family monthly income, bullying victimization was found to positively predict later cyberaggression and NSSI. Mediation analysis revealed that the longitudinal association between bullying victimization and cyberaggression was mediated by PO; the longitudinal association between bullying victimization and NSSI was mediated by depression and was sequentially mediated by PO and depression. These findings extend the theory, prevention and interventions to include both self‐ and other‐directed aggressive behaviour in the bullying context. The CRISPR‐Cas system, initially for DNA‐level gene editing and transcription regulation, has expanded to RNA targeting with the Cas13d family, notably the RfxCas13d. This advancement allows for mRNA targeting with high specificity, particularly after catalytic inactivation, broadening the exploration of translation regulation. This study introduces a CRISPR‐dCas13d‐eIF4G fusion module, combining dCas13d with the eIF4G translation regulatory element, enhancing target mRNA translation levels. This module, using specially designed sgRNAs, selectively boosts protein translation in targeted tissue cells without altering transcription, leading to notable protein expression upregulation. This system is applied to a kidney stone disease model, focusing on ferroptosis‐linked GPX4 gene regulation. By targeting GPX4 with sgRNAs, its protein expression is upregulated in human renal cells and mouse kidney tissue, countering ferroptosis and resisting calcium oxalate‐induced cell damage, hence mitigating stone formation. Objective: Lumbar degenerative diseases (LDDs) with huge herniation in the left lateral recess or central canal present challenges for oblique lateral lumbar interbody fusion (OLIF) or endoscope‐assisted OLIF procedures. Currently, minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (MIS‐TLIF) is the primary approach for this issue. This study aims to provide a standardized technical description of the anterior lumbar discectomy and fusion (ALDF) and evaluate the medium‐term clinical effectiveness of both ALDF and MIS‐TLIF techniques. Methods: A retrospective review was performed on LDDs who underwent ALDF and MIS‐TLIF surgery from January 2018 to January 2020. The evaluation encompassed various clinical outcomes, such as the visual analogue scale (VAS) scores for back pain and leg pain (VAS‐back, VAS‐leg), the Oswestry disability index (ODI), the 36‐item short‐form health survey mental component summary (SF‐36 MCS), and the physical component summary (SF‐36 PCS). Additionally, radiological parameters, including disc height (DH), segmental disk angle (SDA), lumbar lordosis (LL), and cross‐sectional area (CSA), were assessed. Data including radiculopathy, estimated blood loss, operation time, time of getting out of bed, fusion rate, and complications were recorded. Student's independent samples t test and Pearson's chi‐square test were used to compare the differences between groups. Results: In total, 47 patients were treated by ALDF and 48 patients were treated by MIS‐TLIF. The ALDF group exhibited statistically significant lower estimated blood loss and earlier time of getting out of bed compared to the MIS‐TLIF group (p < 0.05). The ALDF group demonstrated lower VAS‐back scores and a higher remission rate of low back pain 3 years after the surgery (p < 0.05). During the entire follow‐up period, the ALDF group exhibited higher increases in DH and SDA compared to the MIS‐TLIF group (p < 0.05). At 6 months, the fusion rate in the ALDF group was significantly higher than in the MIS‐TLIF group (p < 0.05). The comparison revealed no statistically significant differences in complication rates between the two groups (p > 0.05). Conclusion: The ALDF could be considered as a viable surgical alternative for the treatment of LDDs that necessitate ventral neural direct decompression. ALDF exhibited favorable medium‐term outcomes in patients with LDDs, displaying advantages in facilitating expedited recovery, enhancing radiographic outcomes, and elevating the remission rate of low back pain. Cultural soil heritages (CSHs) are artifacts with historical, artistic, and scientific significance; however, they are vulnerable to various hazards, such as weathering, fractures, hollowing, collapses, and gullies. This is especially true for those CSHs exposed to the outdoors. Due to the large number of CSHs sites within China, managing and protecting these heritages with the aid of detailed on-site investigations is time-consuming and expensive. Consequently, evaluating the spatial distribution and degree of hazards developed in all these heritages becomes impractical. To address this issue, this paper developed a Gaussian process classification (GPC) method to predict the spatial distribution of typical hazards (i.e., weathering, fractures, hollowing, collapses, and gullies) and the development level of each hazard from eight environmental factors (e.g., annual relative humidity and annual sunshine time) and a limited number of investigation data. As the number of investigation data for different levels of each hazard is usually imbalanced and sparse, this study proposed a synthetic minority oversampling technique (SMOTE) with GPC to form the SMOTE-GPC method. A real-world example is used to illustrate this approach. Results from real-world data demonstrated that the proposed method achieved an F 1 score, precision, recall, and Cohen's kappa with values greater than 0.93 in both the training and testing datasets, indicating its good performance. Multi-motor synchronous drive system is increasingly widely used in industry and manufacturing, where its control structure and control strategy affect the quality and efficiency of production. In order to solve the contradiction between fastness and overshoot, and the difficulty in determining the compensation law in the conventional PID, cross-coupling control, and master-slave control strategies used in multi-motor control, this paper proposes a self-coupling PID control strategy based on ring adjacent compensation to reduce the complexity of the control structure. Furthermore, this paper analyzes the self-coupling PID parameter tuning rules and establishes the control structure of the ring coupling strategy, and proves its validity mathematically. Simple Summary: The Chironomidae family stands out as the most widely dispersed and often the most abundant insect group in freshwater habitats. The significance of color patterns is well-recognized, as they fulfill multiple roles such as communication, camouflage, mimicking, and defense. However, the taxonomy of species within this family, relying on color patterns, as well as the shape and distribution of thoracic pigmentation, wing markings, and leg pigmentation, remains controversial and unstable. Here, we conduct a comprehensive review on the taxonomy of a Chiromidae genus, Stictochironomus from China, which is characterized by a combination of distinctive wing and leg markings. Using DNA barcode data and morphological data, two new species to science from China are well supported. Species delimitation analyses performed with distance-based approach and coalescent tree-based approaches also support them as distinct species. Therefore, color patterns should be a good diagnostic characteristic for species delimitation in Stictochironomus. Furthermore, we provided an up-to-date taxonomic key for male adults of Stictochironomus from China. The genus Stictochironomus (Diptera: Chironomidae) has an almost worldwide distribution, with more than 30 species. However, species delimitation and identification based on the markings on the wings and legs are controversial and uncertain. In this study, we focused on color patterns to review the adults of the genus from China, and two new species (S. trifuscipes sp. nov. and S. quadrimaculatus sp. nov.) are described and figured. DNA barcodes can accurately separate the two new species with specific color patterns. However, heterospecific individuals form a monophyletic cluster in the phylogeny tree. For example, S. maculipennis (Meigen) and S. pictulus (Meigen), which have a lower interspecific genetic divergence, form a single clade. Sequences with the same species name but with high intraspecific distance form more than one phylogenetic clade, such as S. sticticus (Fabricius) of three clades, S. pictulus of four clades, S. akizukii (Tokunaga) and S. juncaii Qi, Shi, and Wang of two clades, might have potential cryptic species diversity. Species delimitation analysis using ASAP, PTP, and GMYC clearly delineated them as separate species. Consequently, color patterns are a good diagnostic characteristic for species delimitation in Stictochironomus. The distance-based analysis shows that a threshold of 4.5–7.7% is appropriate for species delimitation in Stictochironomus. Glioblastoma (GBM) is a lethal cancer characterized by hypervascularity and necrosis associated with hypoxia. Here, it is found that hypoxia preferentially induces the actin‐binding protein, Transgelin (TAGLN), in GBM stem cells (GSCs). Mechanistically, TAGLN regulates HIF1α transcription and stabilizes HDAC2 to deacetylate p53 and maintain GSC self‐renewal. To translate these findings into preclinical therapeutic paradigm, it is found that sodium valproate (VPA) is a specific inhibitor of TAGLN/HDAC2 function, with augmented efficacy when combined with natural borneol (NB) in vivo. Rock mass classification is of great significance in guiding the design and construction of tunnels, which is often determined through single‐factor or multi‐factor classification methods based on some readily available rock indices, for example, dynamic elastic modulus, degree of tectonization, and so forth. Although these methods work reasonably well in some cases, they tend to lead to inaccurate classification results due to the pre‐selected main factor or function forms, especially for tunnels with complex geological conditions. Alternatively, the classification may be achieved with the aid of some machine learning (ML) methods, which are data‐driven, hence bypassing pre‐determination of the mathematical function forms of the main factor(s). Note although these ML methods perform well in the classification of surrounding rock mass, they generally employ all measurements of readily available rock indices as input variables, which might lead to excessive model complexity and a potential decrease in generalization performance. In this paper, a fully Bayesian Gaussian process classification (fB‐GPC) approach is proposed for probabilistic classification of surrounding rock mass, which is data‐driven and can select the optimal combination of main factors that affect rock mass classification. A real‐life example is used to illustrate and validate the proposed approach. Results show that the proposed fB‐GPC method performs very well in determination of the most important factor for classification of surrounding rock mass, with an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) of around 0.98. Coping strategies have been studied as protective factors against stress for individuals. However, the psychometric properties of the most widely used coping self-report questionnaires, the Coping Inventory for Stressful Situations (CISS-21), have not been examined in a sexual minority population (men and women that identify as lesbian, gay, or bisexual or LGB). In this study, we conducted exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) simultaneously to assess the factor structure of the CISS-21 questionnaire in LGBs. Also, we tested the measurement invariance of CISS across sex and sexual identity in the LGB sample (N = 2850, 52.00% woman, mean age = 32.46 years). The results show that a four-factor structure consisting of task-oriented coping (TOC), emotion-oriented coping (EOC), distraction-oriented coping (DOC), and social diversion-oriented coping (SOC) explained the data best. The results also show acceptable internal consistency reliability, convergent validity, and discriminant validity. Subsequently, multi-group analyses established measurement invariance across sex and sexual identity. These results indicate that the CISS-21 could be used as a simple, reliable, and valid scale for measuring coping strategies in LGBs, and that it allows valid score comparisons from different sex and sexual identity groups. In this paper, two special-shaped separated heat pipes with different condensation section structures are designed. The working medium is water, and the filling rate is 65%. The evaporation section is placed in the hot water tank, and the condensation section is equipped with a cold water jacket. The effects of different structures of condensing section on the thermal performance of separated heat pipes are experimentally studied, and the temperature changes of the two separated heat pipes during start-up and stable operation under different heating power are analyzed. The results show that the heat transfer characteristics of the two separated heat pipes are different due to the different structures of the condensation section, and the heat transfer capacity of sample 2 is higher. At the same time, the temperature fluctuation in the condensing section of sample 2 is also quite different from that in the condensing section of sample 1, and the temperature fluctuation in the condensing section of sample 2 is greater. The high incidence, recurrence and treatment costs of urolithiasis have a serious impact on patients and society. For a long time, countless scholars have been working tirelessly on studies related to the etiology of urolithiasis. A comprehensive understanding of the current status will be beneficial to the development of this field. We collected all literature about the etiology of urolithiasis from 1990 to 2022 using the Web of Science (WoS) database. VOSviewer, Bibliometrix and CiteSpace software were used to quantitatively analyze and visualize the data as well. The query identified 3177 articles for final analysis, of which related to the etiology of urolithiasis. The annual number of publications related to urolithiasis research has steadily increased during the latest decade. United States (1106) and China (449) contributed the most publications. University of Chicago (92) and Indiana University (86) have the highest number of publications. Urolithiasis and Journal of Urology have published the most articles in the field. Coe FL is the most productive author (63 articles), whose articles have obtained the most citations in all (4141 times). The keyword, such as hypercalciuria, hyperoxaluria, citrate, oxidative stress, inflammation, Randall’s plaque, are the most attractive targets for the researchers. Objective: This study examined sex and sexual orientation differences in the context of the effects of coping strategies on relationship satisfaction. Background: The sex and sexual orientation differences on the association between coping strategies and relationship satisfaction are not yet fully understood. Method: The participants were 3,805 Belgian individuals who self‐identified as heterosexual (n = 2,024), bisexual (n = 790), or gay/lesbian (n = 991). Results: Results showed that (a) task‐oriented and emotion‐oriented coping was positively and negatively associated with relationship satisfaction, respectively; (b) social diversion–oriented coping was positively associated with relationship satisfaction only among those who identified as heterosexual, gay, or lesbian; and (c) distraction‐oriented coping was positively associated with relationship satisfaction only among those identifying as bisexual. Multiple group tests based on sex within each sexual orientation category confirm that (a) a stronger association was observed between task‐oriented coping and relationship satisfaction for bisexual men compared to bisexual women; (b) the negative association between emotion‐oriented coping and relationship satisfaction is only significant for heterosexual women, and not for bisexual women; and (c) the negative association between distraction‐oriented coping and relationship satisfaction is significant for bisexual women, but not for heterosexual women. Conclusion: This study enhances our comprehension of the variations in the utilization of coping strategies and their effect on relationship satisfaction among individuals based on their sex and sexual orientation. Objective: Intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) is a chronic degenerative orthopedic illness that causes lower back pain as a typical clinical symptom, severely reducing patients' quality of life and work efficiency, and imposing a significant economic burden on society. IVDD is defined by rapid extracellular matrix breakdown, nucleus pulposus cell loss, and an inflammatory response. It is intimately related to the malfunction or loss of myeloid cells among them. Many mechanisms have been implicated in the development of IVDD, including inflammatory factors, oxidative stress, apoptosis, cellular autophagy, and mitochondrial dysfunction. In recent years, mitochondrial dysfunction has become a hot research topic in age-related diseases. As the main source of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) in myeloid cells, mitochondria are essential for maintaining myeloid cell survival and physiological functions. Methods: We searched the PUBMED database with the search term "intervertebral disc degeneration and mitochondrial dysfunction" and obtained 82 articles, and after reading the abstracts and eliminating 30 irrelevant articles, we finally obtained 52 usable articles. Results: Through a review of the literature, it was discovered that IVDD and cellular mitochondrial dysfunction are also linked. Mitochondrial dysfunction contributes to the advancement of IVDD by influencing a number of pathophysiologic processes such as mitochondrial fission/fusion, mitochondrial autophagy, cellular senescence, and cell death. Conclusion: We examine the molecular mechanisms of IVDD-associated mitochondrial dysfunction and present novel directions for quality management of mitochondrial dysfunction as a treatment approach to IVDD. Animal models are widely used in laboratory practicals in biomedical disciplines. However, experiments involving animal work are usually time-and-labor consuming. It is also costly to run an animal lab and the animal caring/holding request special training. Here we present a laboratory course design that provides students with wet lab experience in gene editing in mouse stem cell lines using CRSISPR/Cas9 and dry lab experience in generating transgenic mouse models using computer simulation. This workshop is for senior undergraduates as well as graduate students and is designed to help them understand the application of gene editing in biomedical research. The virtual simulation is incorporated as a computer-based alternative to using mice for embryo transplantation, breeding, and characterization. The integrated curriculum of wet and dry laboratories enabled us to complete this complicate multi-disciplinary experiment in one semester. In addition, the computer-based alternatives reduce the unnecessary animal tests down to zero and errors during practice are well-tolerated without raising any ethical issues. The survey and student's feedback showed overall satisfaction in their learning experiences and learning benefits. Objectives: To assess the practicability and safety of a novel endovascular robotic system for performing endovascular aortic repair in human. Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted in 2021 with 6 months post-operative follow-up. Patients with aortic aneurysms and clinical indications for elective endovascular aortic repair were enrolled in the study. The novel developed robotic system is applicable for the majority of commercial devices and various types of endovascular surgeries. The primary endpoint was technical success without in-hospital major adverse events. Technical success was defined as the ability of the robotic system to complete all procedural steps based on procedural segments. Results: The first-in-human evaluation of robot-assisted endovascular aortic repair was performed in five patients. The primary endpoint was achieved in all patients (100%). There were no device- or procedure-related complications or no in-hospital major adverse events. The operation time and total blood loss in these cases were equal to those in the manual procedures. The radiation exposure of the surgeon was 96.5% lower than that in the traditional position while the radiation exposure of the patients was not significantly increased. Conclusions: Early clinical evaluation of the novel endovascular aortic repair in endovascular aortic repair demonstrated practicability, safety, and procedural effectiveness comparable to manual operation. In addition, the total radiation exposure of the operator was significantly lower than that of traditional procedures. Clinical relevance statement: This study applies a novel approach to perform the endovascular aortic repair in a more accurate and minimal-invasive way and lays the foundation for the perspective automation of the endovascular robotic system, which reflects a new paradigm for endovascular surgery. Quantitatively summarizing results from a collection of primary studies with meta-analysis can help answer ecological questions and identify knowledge gaps. The accuracy of the answers depends on the quality of the meta-analysis. We reviewed the literature assessing the quality of ecological meta-analyses to evaluate current practices and highlight areas that need improvement. From each of the 18 review papers that evaluated the quality of meta-analyses, we calculated the percentage of meta-analyses that met criteria related to specific steps taken in the meta-analysis process (i.e., execution) and the clarity with which those steps were articulated (i.e., reporting). We also re-evaluated all the meta-analyses available from Pappalardo et al. [1] to extract new information on ten additional criteria and to assess how the meta-analyses recognized and addressed non-independence. In general, we observed better performance for criteria related to reporting than for criteria related to execution; however, there was a wide variation among criteria and meta-analyses. Meta-analyses had low compliance with regard to correcting for phylogenetic non-independence, exploring temporal trends in effect sizes, and conducting a multifactorial analysis of moderators (i.e., explanatory variables). In addition, although most meta-analyses included multiple effect sizes per study, only 66% acknowledged some type of non-independence. The types of non-independence reported were most often related to the design of the original experiment (e.g., the use of a shared control) than to other sources (e.g., phylogeny). We suggest that providing specific training and encouraging authors to follow the PRISMA EcoEvo checklist recently developed by O'Dea et al. [2] can improve the quality of ecological meta-analyses. Background: Chinese urban residents consume more salt from meals prepared outside home than in the past. The purpose of this study is to understand Chinese consumer demand for salt reduction as expressed through their orders on meal delivery apps (MDAs), restaurants' willingness to promote salt reduction, and the extent to which restaurants comply with reduced salt requests. Methods: We analyzed consumer comments extracted from 718 restaurants on a Chinese MDA called ELEME for orders made in the July-December 2020 timeframe. A self-designed questionnaire was distributed to the restaurant managers to assess restaurants' attitude towards salt reduction upon signing up for the study, and laboratory validation was conducted to test whether dishes ordered with reduced salt requests by consumers actually contained less salt. Results: A total of 25,982 (0.7%) orders out of 3,630,798 orders contained consumer comments. Of the consumer comments, 40.6% (10,549) were about requests for less salt in dishes. Totally 91.5% of 421 surveyed restaurants showed a willingness to respond to consumers' reduced salt requests. The median sodium content measured in the reduced-salt dishes by the laboratory was significantly lower than that in their regular salt counterparts (P < 0.05). Conclusions: We observed substantial consumer demand for salt reduction while ordering meals on the MDA and that restaurants did, in response, reduce the sodium content in the meals they provided. As meals delivered via MDAs comprise an increasing proportion of outside foods consumed, there is an opportunity for public health experts and policy makers to work with MDAs and restaurants to promote healthier food selections. Purpose: Grasslands are facing the threat of climate change and intensive land use. Soil respiration (Rs) in grassland ecosystems can be potentially altered by changes in precipitation and land use. We aimed to quantify the impact of changes in precipitation and common land use practices in an Inner Mongolia grassland, i.e., mowing and grazing, on soil respiration. Methods: We performed an in situ experiment with altered precipitation (+ 50%, ambient, and -50%) and land use (control or fencing, mowing, and grazing) to explore their impacts on soil respiration and its autotrophic (Ra) and heterotrophic (Rh) components. Results: Altered precipitation had stronger impacts on abiotic and biotic drivers than land use, leading to stronger impacts on Rs and its components. Over the 3-year experiment, Rs, Ra and Rh decreased by 36%, 42% and 33% with reduced precipitation and increased by 29%, 36% and 25% with increased precipitation, respectively. Grazing and mowing caused relatively small decreases in Rs compared to fencing (generally < 10%). However, precipitation and land use interactively impacted abiotic and biotic drivers and thus Rs. The decrease in Rs with reduced precipitation was greater with grazing (38%) and mowing (37%) than with fencing (32%). Conclusions: Rs and its components may decrease under the projected decrease in precipitation and may further decrease with grazing and mowing compared to fencing. In practical acoustical measurement for large cones, maintaining coaxial and conformal between the holographic surface and reconstructed surface is usually tedious. To overcome this flaw, a conical near-field acoustic holography (NAH) based on cylindrical wave function of variable radius and nonconformal plane measurement is proposed in this paper. First, cylindrical wave function of variable radius (VR)–based modified statistically optimal cylindrical NAH (SOCNAH) method, entitled VR-SOCNAH, is proposed, which is more applicable to conical surfaces. Second, with the measured sound pressure data on the holographic plane, sound pressure on the conical conformal surface is first reconstructed using statistically optimal planar NAH (SOPNAH), and sound pressure on the reconstructed surface is then reconstructed using VR-SOCNAH. Third, fixed and variable radius measurement methods are comparatively studied, and the former is adopted. Furthermore, a measurement parameter optimization method based on orthogonal experiment is proposed to determine appropriate value ranges. Finally, the proposed NAH is applied to a test bed, and the robustness and accuracy of sound field reconstruction for large cones are significantly enhanced, which provides reliable scientific basis and engineering guidance for noise monitoring and control of mechanical equipment. Surgical crushing of stones alone has not addressed the increasing prevalence of kidney stones. A promising strategy is to tackle the kidney damage and crystal aggregation inherent in kidney stones with the appropriate therapeutic target. FKBP prolyl isomerase 5 (FKBP5) is a potential predictor of kidney injury, but its status in calcium oxalate (CaOx) kidney stones is not clear. This study attempted to elucidate the role and mechanism of FKBP5 in CaOx kidney stones. Lentivirus and adeno-associated virus were used to control FKBP5 expression in a CaOx kidney stone model. Transcriptomic sequencing and immunological assays were used to analyze the mechanism of FKBP5 deficiency in CaOx kidney stones. The results showed that FKBP5 deficiency reduced renal tubular epithelial cells (RTEC) apoptosis and promoted cell proliferation by downregulating BOK expression. It also attenuated cell–crystal adhesion by downregulating the expression of CDH4. In addition, it inhibited M1 polarization and chemotaxis of macrophages by suppressing CXCL10 expression in RTEC. Moreover, the above therapeutic effects were exerted by inhibiting the activation of NF-κB signaling. Finally, in vivo experiments showed that FKBP5 deficiency attenuated stone aggregation and kidney injury in mice. In conclusion, this study reveals that FKBP5 deficiency attenuates cell–crystal adhesion, reduces apoptosis, promotes cell proliferation, and inhibits macrophage M1 polarization and chemotaxis by inhibiting NF-κB signaling. Relationship between sea level change and a single climate indicator has been widely discussed. However, few studies focused on the relationship between monthly mean sea level (MMSL) and several key impact factors, including CO2 concentration, sea ice area, and sunspots, on various time scales. In addition, research on the independent relationship between climate factors and sea level on various time scales is lacking, especially when the dependence of climate factors on Niño 3.4 is excluded. Based on this, we use wavelet coherence (WC) and partial wavelet coherence (PWC) to establish a relationship between MMSL and its influencing factors. The WC results show that the influence of climate indices on MMSL has strong regional characteristics. The significant correlation between Southern Hemisphere sea ice area and MMSL is opposite to that between Northern Hemisphere sea ice area and MMSL. The PWC results show that after removing the influence of Niño 3.4, the significant coherent regions of the Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO), Dipole Mode Index (DMI), Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation (AMO), and Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) decrease to varying degrees on different time scales in different regions, demonstrating the influence of Niño 3.4. Our work emphasizes the interrelationship and independent relationship between MMSL and its influencing factors on various time scales and the use of PWC and WC to describe this relationship. The prediction of crop yield plays a crucial role in national economic development, encompassing grain storage, processing, and grain price trends. Employing multiple sensors to acquire remote sensing data and utilizing machine learning algorithms can enable accurate, fast, and nondestructive yield prediction for maize crops. However, current research heavily relies on single-type remote sensing data and traditional machine learning methods, resulting in the limited robustness of yield prediction models. To address these limitations, this study introduces a field-scale maize yield prediction model named the convolutional neural network–attention–long short-term memory network (CNN-attention-LSTM) model, which utilizes multimodal remote sensing data collected by multispectral and light detection and ranging (LIDAR) sensors mounted on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The model incorporates meteorological data throughout the crop reproductive stages and employs the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), normalized difference red edge (NDRE), soil-adjusted vegetation index (SAVI), and enhanced vegetation index (EVI) for the initial part of the vegetative stage (initial part of the V period), the later part of the vegetative stage (later part of the V period), the reproductive stage (R period), and the maturity stage (M period), along with LIDAR data for Point75–100 in the later part of the V period, Point80–100 in the R period, and Point50–100 in the M period, complemented by corresponding meteorological data as inputs. The resulting yield estimation demonstrates exceptional performance, with an R2 value of 0.78 and an rRMSE of 8.27%. These results surpass previous research and validate the effectiveness of multimodal data in enhancing yield prediction models. Furthermore, to assess the superiority of the proposed model, four machine learning algorithms—multiple linear regression (MLR), random forest regression (RF), support vector machine (SVM), and backpropagation (BP)—are compared to the CNN-attention-LSTM model through experimental analysis. The outcomes indicate that all alternative models exhibit inferior prediction accuracy compared to the CNN-attention-LSTM model. Across the test dataset within the study area, the R2 values for various nitrogen fertilizer levels consistently exceed 0.75, illustrating the robustness of the proposed model. Intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) has become a serious public health problem, placing a heavy burden on society and the healthcare system. Its pathogenesis is not completely clear and may be closely related to mechanical damage, inflammatory factors, oxidative stress and death of nucleus pulposus cells (NPCs). The treatment of IVDD mainly includes conservative treatment and surgery. Conservative treatment is based on hormonal and anti-inflammatory drugs and massage techniques, which can relieve the pain symptoms to a certain extent, but cannot solve the problem from the root cause. Surgical treatment is mainly by removing the herniated nucleus pulposus, but it is more traumatic for IVDD patients, expensive and not suitable for all patients. Therefore, it is extremely important to clarify the pathogenesis of IVDD, to find an effective and convenient treatment and to further elaborate its mechanism of action. The effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of IVDD has been well demonstrated in clinical medical research. We have been working on the Chinese herbal formula Duhuo Jisheng Decoction, which is a common formula for the treatment of degenerative disc disease. Not only does it have significant clinical effects, but it also has few adverse effects. At present, we found that its mechanism of action mainly involves regulation of inflammatory factors, reduction of apoptosis and pyroptosis of NPCs, inhibition of extracellular matrix degradation, improvement of intestinal flora, etc. However, a few relevant articles have yet comprehensively and systematically summarized the mechanisms by which they exert their effect. Therefore, this paper will comprehensively and systematically explain on it. This is of great clinical significance and social value for elucidating the pathogenesis of IVDD and improving the symptoms of patients, and will provide a theoretical basis and scientific basis for the treatment of IVDD with traditional Chinese medicine. Therefore, it is necessary to construct a non-aqueous LLCS system with good lubrication and anti-corrosion properties to improve its applicability. Anionic surfactant dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid (DBSA) was used to construct non-aqueous LLCS in different solvents, including monoethanolamine (MEA) and diethanolamine (DEA). DBSA/H 2 O LLCS system was constructed for comparison. The LLCS was characterized by polarizing microscope (POM), small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), and rheology. Its microstructure was discussed. Meanwhile, we evaluated the lubrication and anti-corrosion performance of LLCS. Its lubrication mechanism was explained through tribology tests and X-ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS) analysis of the wear scar surface. Its anti-corrosion mechanism was investigated by using the weightlessness method, electrochemical test method, and quantum chemical theoretical calculations. The DBSA/MEA non-aqueous LLCS system showed better lubrication performance than DBSA/DEA and DBSA/H 2 O LLCS. Simple Summary: Non-biting midges are the most widely distributed, and frequently the most abundant, insect family in freshwater environments. Species delimitation concerning color patterns and the shape or distribution of thorax pigmentation, wing spots, abdomen pigmentation, and leg pigmentation are disputable and unstable in the family. This research focuses on a genus that shares the general appearance of the hypopygium, but with variations in coloration of the antennae, thorax, wings, and legs. In this study, we analyzed collected species along with public sequences, resulting in a preliminary DNA library including 21 morphospecies. DNA barcodes can successfully delimit Microtendipes species and showed deep intraspecific divergence in some species. We also confirmed that color patterns can be important diagnostic characters. As a result of this analysis, five species new to science are identified and described, and an updated key to male adults of known Microtendipes species from China is provided. The genus Microtendipes Kieffer (Diptera: Chironomidae) has a nearly worldwide distribution, comprising more than 60 species, which are further divided into two species groups based on larval stage. However, species delimitation and identification among the adults of this genus are controversial and uncertain. For instance, previous studies have provided many synonymies based on conspecific color pattern variations in Microtendipes species. Here, we used DNA barcode data to address Microtendipes species delimitation as well as to test whether color pattern variations can be diagnostic characters for interspecific identification. The 151 DNA barcodes used, 51 of which were contributed by our laboratory, represent 21 morphospecies. Species with specific color patterns could be accurately separated based on DNA barcodes. Consequently, the color patterns of adult males could be important diagnostic characters. The average intraspecific and interspecific sequence divergences were 2.8% and 12.5%, respectively, and several species exhibited deep intraspecific divergences higher than 5%. Molecular operational taxonomic units (OTUs) ranged from 21 to 73, based on methods including phylogenetic trees, the assemble species by automatic partitioning method, the Poisson tree process (PTP), and the general mixed Yule-coalescent (GMYC) method. As a result of these analyses, five new species were recognized (M. baishanzuensis sp. nov., M. bimaculatus sp. nov., M. nigrithorax sp. nov., M. robustus sp. nov., and M. wuyiensis sp. nov.). To simulate seismic wavefields with a frequency-domain wave equation, conventional numerical methods must solve the equation sequentially to obtain the wavefields for different frequencies. The monofrequency equation has the form of a Helmholtz equation. When solving the Helmholtz equation for seismic wavefields with multiple frequencies, a physics-informed neural network (PINN) can be used. However, the PINN suffers from the problem of spectral bias when approximating high-frequency components. We propose to simulate seismic multifrequency wavefields using a PINN with an embedded Fourier feature. The input to the Fourier feature PINN for simulating multifrequency wavefields is 4-D, namely the horizontal and vertical spatial coordinates of the model, the horizontal position of the source, and the frequency, and the output is multifrequency wavefields at arbitrary source positions. While an effective Fourier feature initialization strategy can lead to optimal convergence in training this network, the Fourier feature PINN simulates multifrequency wavefields with reasonable efficiency and accuracy. Background: The early craniofacial development is a highly coordinated process involving neural crest cell migration, proliferation, epithelial apoptosis, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Both genetic defects and environmental factors can affect these processes and result in orofacial clefts. Mutations in MID1 gene cause X-linked Opitz Syndrome (OS), which is a congenital malformation characterized by craniofacial defects including cleft lip/palate (CLP). Previous studies demonstrated impaired neurological structure and function in Mid1 knockout mice, while no CLP was observed. However, given the highly variable severities of the facial manifestations observed in OS patients within the same family carrying identical genetic defects, subtle craniofacial malformations in Mid1 knockout mice could be overlooked in these studies. Therefore, we propose that a detailed morphometric analysis should be necessary to reveal mild craniofacial dysmorphologies that reflect the similar developmental defects seen in OS patients. Results: In this research, morphometric study of the P0 male Mid1-cKO mice were performed using Procrustes superimposition as well as EMDA analysis of the size-adjusted three-dimensional coordinates of 105 skull landmarks, which were collected on the bone surface reconstructed using microcomputed tomographic images. Countercurrent imbibition is an important mechanism for tight oil recovery, that is, water imbibes spontaneously from the fracture into the porous matrix while oil flows reversely into the fracture. Its significance over cocurrent imbibition and forced imbibition is highlighted when permeability reduces. We used the computed tomography (CT) scanning to measure the one-dimensional evolution of water saturation profile and countercurrent imbibition distance (CID) at different fluid pressures, initial water saturations, and permeability. Surprisingly, experiments show that CID evolution for tight reservoir cores dramatically deviates from the classical diffusive rule (i.e., evolutes proportional to square root of time, t0.5). At early stage, CID extends faster than t0.5 (super-diffusive); while at late stage, CID extends much slower than t0.5 (sub-diffusive). After tens of hours, the CID change becomes too slow to be practically efficient for tight oil recovery. This research demonstrates that this deviation from classic theory is a result of (1) a much longer characteristic capillary length than effective invasion depth, which eliminates full development of a classical displacement front; and (2) non-zero flow at low water saturation, which was always neglected for conventional reservoir and is amplified in sub-mili-Darcy rocks. To well depict the details of the imbibition front in this situation, we introduce non-zero wetting phase fluidity at low saturation into classical countercurrent imbibition model and conduct numerical simulations, which successfully rationalizes the non-diffusive behavior and fits experimental data. Our data and theory imply an optimum soaking time in tight oil recovery by countercurrent imbibition, beyond which increasing exposed fracture surface area becomes a more efficient enhanced oil recovery (EOR) strategy than soaking for longer time. To clarify the effect of monochromatic light on circadian rhythms of plasma insulin level and pancreatic clock gene expression and its mechanism, 216 newly hatched chicks were divided into three groups (intact, sham operation and pinealectomy) and were raised under white (WL), red (RL), green (GL) or blue (BL) light for 21 days. Their plasma and pancreas were sampled at six four-hour intervals. For circadian rhythm analysis, measurements of plasma melatonin, insulin, and clock gene expression (cClock, cBmal1, cBmal2, cCry1, cCry2, cPer2, and cPer3) were made. Plasma melatonin, insulin, and the pancreatic clock gene all expressed rhythmically in the presence of monochromatic light. Red light reduced the mesor and amplitude of plasma melatonin in comparison to green light. The mesor and amplitude of the pancreatic clock gene in chickens exposed to red light were dramatically reduced, which is consistent with the drop in plasma melatonin levels. Red light, on the other hand, clearly raised the level of plasma insulin via raising the expression of cVamp2, but not cInsulin. After the pineal gland was removed, the circadian expressions of plasma melatonin and pancreatic clock gene were significantly reduced, but the plasma insulin level and the pancreatic cVamp2 expression were obviously increased, resulting in the disappearance of differences in insulin level and cVamp2 expression in the monochromatic light groups. Therefore, we hypothesize that melatonin may be crucial in the effect of monochromatic light on the circadian rhythm of plasma insulin level by influencing the expression of clock gene in chicken pancreas. Minority stressors are associated with increased psychological distress, and social support is considered as a significant protective factor to mitigate the psychological distress in LGB individuals. In China, LGB individuals suffer additional pressure from society and family, but only a few studies have explored the effect of social support on the psychological distress of Chinese LGB individuals and the mechanism underlying the association. The current study aimed to examine the mediating role of self-esteem in the relationship between three sources of social support (from family, friends, and others) and psychological distress in Chinese LGB individuals. 227 LGB individuals (M age = 25.9 years; SD = 5.6) who were voluntarily recruited by a combination of snowballing and targeted sampling strategies. Path analysis was used to test the associations between variables. Results indicated that 31.3% of LGB individuals had a high level of psychological distress. The results showed that social support from family, friends, and others was associated with higher levels of self-esteem and lower levels of psychological distress. Only the mediating effect of self-esteem was found between friend support and psychological distress. This study demonstrated that friend support might be a protective factor against psychological distress in Chinese LGB individuals, and more friend support could potentially relieve psychological distress by building higher self-esteem. A promising laser cooling candidate molecule is essential for laser cooling experiments. In this study, the possibility of laser cooling an 88Sr35Cl molecule is investigated using an ab initio method. Seven low-lying Λ-S and six Ω electronic states of the 88Sr35Cl molecule are calculated at a multi-reference configuration interaction level of theory. Spectral constants of bound states of fitted values are in good agreement with experimental values, which are better than the previously obtained theoretical data for higher excitation states. The resulting permanent and transition dipole moments near the equilibrium bond length are close to the theoretical values. Potential energy curves and transition dipole moments are used for obtaining highly diagonally distributed Franck-Condon factors for the A2Π → X2Σ+ transition using the LEVEL program. A short radiative lifetime of the A2Π state is determined; a laser cooling scheme is designed in the vibration level that requires a cooling main laser beam and two repumping laser beams. Transition spectral data of hyperfine energy levels with errors relative to the experimental data do not exceed −0.25∼0.19 MHz when using a quantum effective Hamiltonian approach. Recently accumulated evidence implicates a close association of vitamin D (VitD) insufficiency to the incidence and clinical manifestations of the COVID-19 caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-COV-2). Populations with insufficient VitD including patients with osteoporosis are more susceptible to SARS-COV-2 infection and patients with COVID-19 worsened or developed osteoporosis. It is currently unknown, however, whether osteoporosis and COVID-19 are linked by VitD insufficiency. In this study, 42 common targets for VitD on both COVID-19 and osteoporosis were identified among a total of 243 VitD targets. Further bioinformatic analysis revealed 8 core targets (EGFR, AR, ESR1, MAPK8, MDM2, EZH2, ERBB2 and MAPT) in the VitD-COVID-19-osteoporosis network. These targets are involved in the ErbB and MAPK signaling pathways critical for lung fibrosis, bone structural integrity, and cytokines through a crosstalk between COVID-19 and osteoporosis via the VitD-mediated conventional immune and osteoimmune mechanisms. Molecular docking confirmed that VitD binds tightly to the predicted targets. These findings support that VitD may target common signaling pathways in the integrated network of lung fibrosis and bone structural integrity as well as the immune systems. Bronchitis and pneumonia are the common respiratory diseases, of which pneumonia is the leading cause of mortality in pediatric patients worldwide and impose intense pressure on health care systems. This study aims to classify bronchitis and pneumonia in children by analyzing cough sounds. We propose a Classification Framework based on Cough Sounds (CFCS) to identify bronchitis and pneumonia in children. Our dataset includes cough sounds from 173 outpatients at the West China Second University Hospital, Sichuan University, Chengdu, China. We adopt aggregation operation to obtain patients' disease features because some cough chunks carry the disease information while others do not. In the stage of classification in our framework, we adopt Support Vector Machine (SVM) to classify the diseases due to the small scale of our dataset. Furthermore, we apply data augmentation to our dataset to enlarge the number of samples and then adopt Long Short-Term Memory Network (LSTM) to classify. After 45 random tests on RAW dataset, SVM achieves the best classification accuracy of 86.04% and standard deviation of 4.7%. The precision of bronchitis and pneumonia is 93.75% and 87.5%, and their recall is 88.24% and 93.33%. The AUC of SVM and LSTM classification models on the dataset with pitch-shifting data augmentation reach 0.92 and 0.93, respectively. Software-defined measurement (SDM) is a simple and efficient way to deploy measurement tasks and collect measurement data. With SDM, it is convenient for operators to implement fine-grained network-wide measurements at the flow level, from which many important functions can benefit. The prior work provides mechanisms to distribute flows to monitors, such that each monitor can identify its non-overlapped subset of flows to measure, and a certain global performance criterion is optimized, such as load balance or flow coverage. Many applications of network management can benefit from a function that can find large flows efficiently, such as congestion control by dynamically scheduling large flows, caching of forwarding table entries, and network capacity planning. However, the current network-wide measurements neglect the diversity of different flows as they treat large flows and small flows equally. In this paper, we present a mechanism of accuracy-aware collaborative monitoring (ACM) to improve the measurement accuracies of large flows in network-wide measurements at the flow level. The structure of the sketch is an approximate counting algorithm, and a high-measurement accuracy can be achieved by merging the results from multiple monitors with sketches, which is termed as collaborative monitoring. The core idea of our method is to allocate more monitors to large flows and achieve the load balance to provide accuracy-aware monitoring. We modeled our problem as an integer–linear programming problem, which is NP-hard. Thus, we propose an approximation algorithm, named the improved longest processing time algorithm (iLPTA); we proved that its approximation ratio is (1 2 + n l) . We propose a two-stage online distribution algorithm (TODA). Moreover, we proved that its approximation ratio is (1 + n l − 1) . The iLPTA is an offline approximation algorithm used to assign monitors for each flow, which prove the validity and feasibility of the core idea. The TODA is an online algorithm that attempts to achieve the load balance by selecting the monitor with the smallest load to a large flow. In rock, mining, and/or tunneling engineering, determination of uniaxial compressive strength (UCS) of rocks is an important and crucial task, which is often estimated from readily available index properties of rocks in practice, such as porosity (n), Schmidt hammer rebound number (Rn), P-wave velocity (Vp), point load index (Is(50)). This is especially true for projects with medium- or small-size, as well as for rocks with a high degree of fragility and porosity. While numerous methods have been proposed for predicting UCS indirectly, linear assumptions are frequently made during model development, despite the possibility of nonlinear relationships between UCS and the abovementioned indices. Furthermore, many established methods often struggle to strike a balance between model complexity and performance, resulting in models that are either over- or under-fitted. As a result, constructing an optimal UCS model with minimal variables while maintaining a high level of performance remains a great challenge in rock engineering practice. This paper proposes a fully Bayesian Gaussian process regression (fB-GPR) approach to develop an optimal model for UCS prediction which strikes a balance between prediction accuracy and model complexity. Both real-world and numerical examples are used to illustrate the proposed method. Results show that the optimal model of predicting UCS for the database from Malaysia is constructed by only n and Vp, with the same coefficient of determination of around 0.9 as the more complex model involving n, Rn, Vp and Is(50). A sensitivity study is also performed to systematically examine its robustness and accuracy of the proposed method in developing optimal model for UCS prediction. Highlights: A fully Bayesian Gaussian process regression (fB-GPR) method is proposed for constructing an optimal model for UCS prediction from rock indices. Due to the potential economic benefits, pedestrian flow is considered an essential indication of public spaces. Pedestrian flow prediction is designed to assist operators in making decisions (such as shopping center owners). Operators hold certain events, such as sales promotions, to attract surrounding pedestrians; we refer to this type of event as a business event. Business events attract pedestrian flows, which means business opportunities for the merchants. Moreover, their placement will affect the distributions of the pedestrian flows. However, deciding which route is chosen for a specified event is difficult. To the best of our knowledge, we are the first to consider business events when predicting pedestrian flow. In this paper, we investigate two problems: one is pedestrian flow prediction with business events, and the other is route recommendation for business events. First, we propose an Attraction-Based Matrix Factorization model (ABMF) to efficiently predict the pedestrian flow with business events, which introduces the attraction index of different categories to pedestrians in matrix factorization. Second, we leverage the Skip-gram mode to learn the latent representations and improve the pair-wise ranking loss to a flow-aware-based method (SG-FWARP), which aims to learn events' latent representations for route recommendation. Compared with other state-of-the-art methods, the experimental results show ABMF can predict pedestrian flow matrix with a similarity of over 0.9 compared with the ground truth, and SG-FWARP can recommend routes for business events with high accuracy. Here, we designed and synthesized a series of naphthyl amide derivatives (12 – 39) as another type of reversible MAGL inhibitors, exemplified by ± 34 , which displayed good MAGL inhibition with a pIC 50 of 7.1, and the potency and selectivity against endogenous MAGL were further demonstrated by competitive ABPP.
