Abstract: The article presents a case study of a 42-year-old man with lung cancer who was hospitalized and suspected to have acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in left lobe by computed tomography (CT) and positron emission tomography/CT (PET-CT). The patient underwent a left upper lobectomy for lung cancer followed by chemotherapy with cisplatin and vinorelbine. Two years later a new solid nodule with a diameter of 4 cm was detected within the AML tumor by CT which was suspected to be hepatocellular carcinoma.
