The Gangdese metallogenic belt in Tibet is an important polymetallic metallogenic belt formed during the subduction of the Neo-Tethys Ocean and subsequent India–Asia collision. Adakitic rocks are widely distributed in this belt and are considered to be closely related to porphyry–skarn Cu-Mo polymetallic mineralization. However, the petrogenesis and geodynamic setting of the Late Cretaceous adakites in the Gangdese belt remain controversial. In this study, we focus on the quartz diorite in the Nuri Cu-W-Mo deposit along the southern margin of the eastern Gangdese belt. LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating yields a Late Cretaceous age of 93.6 ± 0.4 Ma for the quartz diorite. Whole-rock geochemistry shows that the quartz diorite possesses typical adakitic signatures, with high SiO2, Al2O3, and Sr contents, but low Y and Yb contents. The relatively low K2O content and high MgO, Cr, and Ni contents, as well as the positive zircon εHf(t) values (+6.58 to +14.52), suggest that the adakites were derived from the partial melting of the subducted Neo-Tethys oceanic slab, with subsequent interaction with the overlying mantle wedge. The Late Cretaceous magmatic flare-up and coeval high-temperature granulite-facies metamorphism in the Gangdese belt were likely triggered by Neo-Tethys mid-ocean ridge subduction. The widespread occurrence of Late Cretaceous adakitic intrusions and associated Cu mineralization in the Nuri ore district indicate a strong tectono-magmatic-metallogenic event related to the Neo-Tethys subduction during this period. This study provides new insights into the petrogenesis and geodynamic setting of the Late Cretaceous adakites in the Gangdese belt, and has important implications for Cu polymetallic deposit exploration in this region. The Nuri deposit is the only Cu‐W‐Mo polymetallic deposit with large‐scale WO3 resources in the eastern section of the Gangdese metallogenic belt, Tibet, China. However, the genetic type of this deposit has been controversial since its discovery. Based on a study of the geological characteristics of the deposit, this study presents mineralization stages, focusing on the oxide stage and the quartz‐sulfide stage where scheelite is mainly formed, referred to as Sch‐A and Sch‐B, respectively. Through LA‐ICP‐MS trace element and Sr isotope analyses, the origin, evolutionary process of the ore‐forming fluid and genesis of the ore deposit are investigated. Scanning Electron Microscope‐Cathodoluminescence (SEM‐CL) observations reveal that Sch‐A consists of three generations, with dark gray homogenous Sch‐A1 being replaced by relatively lighter and homogeneous Sch‐A2 and Sch‐A3, with Sch‐A2 displaying a gray CL image color with vague and uneven growth bands and Sch‐A3 has a light gray CL image color with hardly any growth band. In contrast, Sch‐B exhibits a 'core‐rim' structure, with the core part (Sch‐B1) being dark gray and displaying a uniform growth band, while the rim part (Sch‐B2) is light gray and homogeneous. The normalized distribution pattern of rare earth elements in scheelite and Sr isotope data suggest that the early ore‐forming fluid in the Nuri deposit originated from granodiorite porphyry and, later on, some country rock material was mixed in, due to strong water‐rock interaction. Combining the O‐H isotope data further indicates that the ore‐forming fluid in the Nuri deposit originated from magmatic‐hydrothermal sources, with contributions from metamorphic water caused by water‐rock interaction during the mineralization process, as well as later meteoric water. The intense water‐rock interaction likely played a crucial role in the precipitation of scheelite, leading to varying Eu anomalies in different generations of scheelite from the oxide stage to the quartz‐sulfide stage, while also causing a gradual decrease in oxygen fugacity (fO2) and a slow rise in pH value. Additionally, the high Mo and low Sr contents in the scheelite are consistent with typical characteristics of magmatic‐hydrothermal scheelite. Therefore, considering the geological features of the deposit, the geochemical characteristics of scheelite and the O‐H isotope data published previously, it can be concluded that the genesis of the Nuri deposit belongs to porphyry‐skarn deposit. Background: Pancreatic cancer is one of the most lethal cancers worldwide. Aidi injection (ADI) is a representative antitumor medication based on Chinese herbal injection, but its antitumor mechanisms are still poorly understood. Materials and methods: In this work, the subcutaneous xenograft model of human pancreatic cancer cell line Panc-1 was established in nude mice to investigate the anticancer effect of ADI in vivo. We then determined the components of ADI using ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS) and explored the possible molecular mechanisms against pancreatic cancer using network pharmacology. Results: In vivo experiments, the volume, weight, and degree of histological abnormalities of implanted tumors were significantly lower in the medium and high concentration ADI injection groups than in the control group. Network pharmacology analysis identified four active components of ADI and seven key targets, TNF, VEGFA, HSP90AA1, MAPK14, CASP3, P53 and JUN. Molecular docking also revealed high affinity between the active components and the target proteins, including Astragaloside IV to P53 and VEGFA, Ginsenoside Rb1 to CASP3 and Formononetin to JUN. Conclusion: ADI could reduce the growth rate of tumor tissue and alleviate the structural abnormalities in tumor tissue. Compound Kushen injection (CKI) is a representative medication of Chinese herbal injection and is often used in the adjuvant treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), but its antitumor mechanism is poorly understood. To preliminarily elucidate the effects and possible mechanisms of CKI on NPC. In this work, we explored the possible molecular mechanisms of CKI against NPC by using network pharmacology and molecular docking. In addition, proteomics was used to explore the localization and quantitative information of protein in NPC C666-1 cells after the intervention of CKI, and enrichment analysis was used to obtain the potential targets and pathways. Finally, the effect and the core targets of CKI in the intervention of NPC were explored in vitro experiments. Network pharmacology analysis identified three active components of CKI and 13 key targets. Molecular docking analysis showed that TNF, PTEN, CCND1, MAPK3, IL6, HIF1A, MYC had high affinity with corresponding components. Then the key pathway, cell cycle and the core targets MYC, CCND1, and P15 related to the key pathway were obtained. The results of in vitro experiments showed that CKI could inhibit the proliferation, migration, and invasion of NPC 5–8F cells and C666-1 cells, induce apoptosis of C666-1 cells, and arrest cell cycle G0/G1 phase. In addition, RT-qPCR and western blot showed that the expression of P15 was up-regulated and E2F4, E2F5, c-Myc, CCND1, and P107 was down-regulated in 5–8F cells and C666-1 cells intervened by CKI. The key pathway, cell cycle and the corresponding core targets MYC, CCND1, and P15 were obtained from network pharmacology, molecular docking, and proteomics. CKI could inhibit the proliferation, migration, and invasion of NPC cells, induce apoptosis of C666-1 cells. A power balancing method of distributed generation (DG) and electric vehicle charging is presented for minimizing operation costs of distribution systems with uncertainties, which includes the uncertainties in output power of DG and the randomness of charging power of electric vehicles (EV). A probability model is established for the uncertain characteristics of DG and electric vehicle charging. A multi-state optimization coordination method for DG of renewable energy systems and electric vehicle charging in distribution systems based on quadratic rotation cone programming is presented to minimize the expected generation cost of generators in the main power grid, the expected operation cost of DG systems in distribution systems, and the expected social outage loss. An objective function maximizing the operation efficiency of distribution systems with DGs and EVs is proposed. Using quadratic rotated conic programming, the nonlinear objective function and constraint functions are transformed into a linear form. An IEEE 14-node distribution system is used as a study example to illustrate adaptability of the proposed model and the feasibility of the proposed method. Pancreatic cancer is a common malignancy worldwide due to its poor prognosis and high mortality rate. It is clinically proven that the combination of chemotherapeutic drugs and Traditional Chinese Medicine injections (TCMIs) significantly improves the therapeutic effect. To evaluate the efficacy and clinical benefits of TCMIs in combination with chemotherapy in the treatment of pancreatic cancer and to explore the mechanism of clinical advantage of Aidi injection. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were searched in databases by NMA before December 29, 2020. WinBUGS 1.4, Stata 14.0, and R 4.0.4 software were used for calculations. All results were expressed as odds ratios and 95% credible intervals. Through the network pharmacology method, the chemical components and their targets, as well as the disease targets were further analyzed. And then, biological experiments were integrated to verify the results of network pharmacology analysis. (PROSPERO ID: CRD42021283559). A total of 33 RCTs with 8 TCMIs and 2011 patients were included. The results of NMA showed that Aidi injection can significantly improve the clinical efficacy (OR = 0.34, 95%CI: 0.16–0.74), and the clinical advantage was that it can significantly alleviate the leukopenia and thrombocytopenia caused by chemotherapy (OR = 5.65, 95%CI: 1.18–28.13). A total of 23 chemical compounds and 280 potential targets for Aidi injection were obtained from the online databases. Among them, there were 22 compounds, 50 targets and 211 signaling pathways closely related to leukopenia. Five genes were predicted to be core targets of ADI in alleviating leukopenia, and 2 of them (TP53 and VEGFA) were confirmed by biological experiments as regulatory targets of ADI in the treatment of PC. In conclusion, TCMIs in combination with chemotherapy, can improve clinical efficacy and safety in the treatment of pancreatic cancer. However, the overall evidence base is low, and large samples with multi-center RCTs are still needed to support further research findings. Aidi injection can alleviate leukopenia mainly by intervening in oxidative stress, regulating cell proliferation and apoptosis, and regulating the inflammatory response. Aphelinus albipodus Hayat and Fatima is a potential biological control agent of the soybean aphid, Aphis glycines Matsumura, which is a newly introduced soybean pest in the United States. We compared the reproductive compatibility and molecular genetic variation between two geographic strains of A. albipodus. One strain was collected from soybean aphids in Japan and the other recovered from Russian wheat aphid, Diuraphis noxia (Mordvilko), in the western U.S., populations of which were established with parasitoids imported from Eurasia. We present results of crossing experiments between the two strains, genetic differences based on RAPD-PCR markers, rDNA ITS1 and ITS2 gene sequences, and presence of Wolbachia in the two strains using PCR amplification of the wsp gene. We found no reduction in the production of females in reciprocal crosses between strains, but a significant reduction in fecundity when F1 females stemming from one of the reciprocal crosses were backcrossed to males from either source. The two strains differed by 3.4% in the rDNA ITS1 sequence and by presence/absence of one RAPD-PCR marker from a total of 20 RAPD primers screened, but their rDNA ITS2 sequences were identical. We used restriction enzyme analysis to separate the strains by differential digestion of the ITS1 PCR product. Wolbachia was present in 100% of males and females of both strains of A. albipodus. Nowadays, image retargeting approaches have been widely applied to adapt images of various resolutions to heterogenous display devices. To assess the quality of the retargeted images, image retargeting quality assessment (IRQA) has emerged as a critical problem in image quality assessment. In this paper, we address the IRQA problem with a newly proposed framework based on registration confidence measurement (RCM) and noticeability-based pooling (NBP). First, we define the RCM to evaluate the accuracy of image registration, which aligns scenes between the original and retargeted images. We then integrate the proposed RCM with the computed local fidelity of each image block to alleviate the negative influence of inaccurate registration on fidelity measurements. Meanwhile, we present a visual attention fusion (VAF) framework to enhance faces and lines in the saliency map, which are observed to be highly sensitive in the human visual system (HVS). Finally, we propose the NBP strategy, which aggregates the local fidelity of each image block into the overall quality of the retargeted image. Specifically, the NBP strategy sets larger quality ranges for the regions where the visual distortions are more accessible to HVS to reflect the easy noticeability of these regions. Background: Yinzhihuang granules (YZHG) is a commonly used Chinese patent medicine for the treatment of liver disease. However, the mechanism of YZHG in alcoholic liver disease (ALD) is still unclear. Methods: This study combined liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry technology, pharmacodynamics, network pharmacology and molecular docking methods to evaluate the potential mechanism of YZHG in the treatment of ALD. Results: A total of 25 compounds including 4-hydroxyacetophenone, scoparone, geniposide, quercetin, baicalin, baicalein, chlorogenic acid and caffeic acid in YZHG were identified by ultra performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS). The pharmacodynamic investigations indicated that YZHG could improve liver function and the degree of liver tissue lesions, and reduce liver inflammation and oxidative stress in ALD mice. Network pharmacology analysis showed that YZHG treated ALD mainly by regulating inflammation-related signaling pathways such as the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway. The results of the PPI network and molecular docking showed that the targets of SRC, HSP90AA1, STAT3, EGFR and AKT1 could be the key targets of YZHG in the treatment of ALD. Conclusion: This study explored the potential compounds, potential targets and signaling pathways of YZHG in the treatment of ALD, which is helpful to clarify the efficacy and mechanism of YZHG and provide new insights for the clinical application of YZHG. Stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD) is a type of cancer which often at itsadvanced stage apon diagnosis and mortality in clinical practice. Several factors influencethe prognosis of STAD, including the expression and regulation of immune cells in the tumor microenvironment. We here investigated the biomarkers related to the diagnosis and prognosis of gastric cancer, hoping to provide insights for the diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer in the future. STAD and normal patient RNA sequencing data sets were accessed from the cancer genome atlas (TCGA database). Differential genes were determined and obtained by using the R package DESeq2. The stromal, immune, and ESTIMATE scores are calculated by the ESTIMATE algorithm, followed by the modular genes screening using the R package WGCNA. Subsequently, the intersection between the modular gene and the differential gene was taken and the STRING database was used for PPI network module analysis. The R packages clusterProfiler, enrichplot, and ggplot2 were used for GO and KEGG enrichment analysis. Cox regression analysis was used to screen survival-related genes, and finally, the R package Venn Diagram was used to take the intersection and obtain 7 hub genes. The time-dependent ROC curve and Kaplan–Meier survival curve were used to find the SERPINE1 gene, which plays a critical role in prognosis. Finally, the expression pattern, clinical characteristics, and regulatory mechanism of SERPINE1 were analyzed in STAD. We revealed that the expression of SERPINE1 was significantly increased in the samples from STAD compared with normal samples. Cox regression, time-dependent ROC, and Kaplan–Meier survival analyses demonstrated that SERPINE1 was significantly related to the adverse prognosis of STAD patients. The expression of SERPINE1 increased with the progression of T, N, and M classification of the tumor. In addition, the results of immune infiltration analysis indicated that the immune cells' expression were higher in high SERPINE1 expression group than that in low SERPINE1 expression group, including CD4+ T cells, B cells, CD8+ T cells, macrophages, neutrophils and other immune cells. SERPINE1 was closely related to immune cells in the STAD immune microenvironment and had a synergistic effect with the immune checkpoints PD1 and PD-L1. Gastric carcinoma (GC) heterogeneity represents a major barrier to accurate diagnosis and treatment. Here, we established a comprehensive single-cell transcriptional atlas to identify the cellular heterogeneity in malignant epithelial cells of GC using single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq). A total of 49,994 cells from nine patients with paired primary tumor and normal tissues were analyzed by multiple strategies. This study focused on the malignant epithelial cells, which were divided into three subtypes, including pit mucous cells, chief cells, and gastric and intestinal cells. The trajectory analysis results suggest that the differentiation of the three subtypes could be from the pit mucous cells to the chief cells and then to the gastric and intestinal cells. Lauren's histopathology of GC might originate from various subtypes of malignant epithelial cells. The functional enrichment analysis results show that the three subtypes focused on different biological processes (BP) and pathways related to tumor development. In addition, we generated and validated the prognostic signatures for predicting the OS in GC patients by combining the scRNA-seq and bulk RNA sequencing (bulk RNA-seq) datasets. Background. The Chinese patent drug Yinzhihuang granule (YZHG) is used to treat hepatitis B. This research is aimed at exploring the multicomponent synergistic mechanism of YZHG in the treatment of inflammation-cancer transformation of hepar and at providing new evidence and insights for its clinical application. Methods. To retrieve the components and targets of Yinzhihuang granules. The differentially expressed genes (DEGs) of hepar inflammation-cancer transformation were obtained from TTD, PharmGKB, and GEO databases. Construct the compound-prediction target network and the key module network using Cytoscape 3.7.1. Results. The results show that hepatitis B and hepatitis C shared a common target, MMP2. CDK1 and TOP2A may play an important role in the treatment with YZHG in hepatitis B inflammatory cancer transformation. KEGG pathway enrichment showed that key genes of modules 1, 2, and 4 were mainly enriched in the progesterone-mediated oocyte maturation signaling pathway and oocyte meiosis signaling pathway. The multicomponent, multitarget, and multichannel pharmacological benefits of YZHG in the therapy of inflammation-cancer transition of hepar are directly demonstrated by network pharmacology, providing a scientific basis for its mechanism. The ability to determine the presence and identity of sugars in the guts of adult parasitoids in the field would aid researchers in addressing long-standing problems in parasitoid ecology. Until very recently, however, gut sugar analyses have not been carried out on parasitoids. This is despite the development and use of methodologies for gut sugar analyses in biting flies (mosquitoes, sand-flies, black-flies, horse- and deer-flies, and biting midges) for decades. Methods used have been the cold anthrone test for the detection of gut sugars, and various forms of chromatography for the identification of gut sugars. We review the use of these methods in biting fly research and then describe the nascent field of gut sugar analyses in parasitoids. Both cold anthrone and chromatography tests have begun to be used on field-caught parasitoids, and we describe progress from our own work. We used cold anthrone on the aphid parasitoid Aphelinus albipodus (Hymenoptera: Aphelinidae), and results from one field study show that approximately one-fifth of individuals tested were positive for gut sugars. The characteristics of the field site point to the primary source of these gut sugars as being aphid honeydew. We also analysed the gut contents of Diadegma insulare (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae), a parasitoid of diamondback moth. In this case, HPLC analyses showed that over 85% of field-captured individuals had fed upon sugars. These same analyses suggested that honeydew may have been a major source of the gut sugars in this case also, but the sugar profiles suggest some nectar feeding. Understanding the importance of various sugar sources on parasitoid activity and effectiveness will facilitate the incorporation of sugar sources in habitat manipulation programmes as a part of IPM. Aidi injection (ADI) is a popular anti-tumor Chinese patent medicine, widely used in clinics for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with remarkable therapeutic effects through multiple targets and pathways. However, the scientific evidence of the synergistic role of the complex chemical component system and the potential mechanism for treating diseases are ignored and remain to be elucidated. This study aimed to elucidate and verify the cooperative association between the potential active ingredient of ADI, which is of significance to enlarge our understanding of its anti-HCC molecular mechanisms. Firstly, the anti-HCC effect of ADI was evaluated in various HCC cells and the zebrafish xenograft model. Subsequently, a variety of bioinformatic technologies, including network pharmacology, weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA), meta-analysis of gene expression profiles, and pathway enrichment analysis were performed to construct the competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network of ADI intervention in HCC and to establish the relationship between the critical targets/pathways and the key corresponding components, which were involved in ADI against HCC in a synergistic way and were validated by molecular biology experiments. ADI exerted remarkable anti-HCC in vitro cells and in vivo zebrafish model, especially that the Hep 3B2.1-7 cell showed substantial sensibility to ADI. The ceRNA network revealed that the EGFR/PI3K/AKT signaling pathway was identified as the promising pathway. Furthermore, the meta-analysis also demonstrated the critical role of BIRC5 and FEN1 as key targets. Finally, the synergistic effect of ADI was revealed by discovering the inhibitory effect of cantharidin on BIRC5, formononetin on FEN1 and EGFR, as well as isofraxidin on EGFR. Our study unveiled that the incredible protective effect of ADI on HCC resulted from the synergistic inhibition effect of cantharidin, formononetin, and isofraxidin on multiple targets/pathways, including BIRC5, FEN1, and EGFR/PI3K/AKT, respectively, providing a scientific interpretation of ADI against HCC and a typical example of pharmacodynamic evaluation of other proprietary Chinese patent medicine. Yinzhihuang granule (YZHG) has liver protective effect and can be used for clinical treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), but its material basis and mechanism need to be further clarified. This study aims to reveal the material basis and mechanism of YZHG treating NAFLD. Serum pharmacochemistry were employed to identify the components from YZHG. The potential targets of YZHG against NAFLD were predicted by system biology and then preliminarily verified by molecular docking. Furthermore, the functional mechanism of YZHG in NAFLD mice was elucidated by 16S rRNA sequencing and untargeted metabolomics. From YZHG, 52 compounds were identified, of which 42 were absorbed into the blood. Network pharmacology and molecular docking showed that YZHG treats NAFLD with multi-components and multi-targets. YZHG can improve the levels of blood lipids, liver enzymes, lipopolysaccharide (LPS), and inflammatory factors in NAFLD mice. YZHG can also significantly improve the diversity and richness of intestinal flora and regulate glycerophospholipid and sphingolipid metabolism. Moreover, Western Blot experiment showed that YZHG can regulate liver lipid metabolism and enhance intestinal barrier function. YZHG may treat NAFLD by improving the disruption of intestinal flora and enhancing the intestinal barrier. Abstract: In this report, Ag nanoparticles/graphene hybrid (AgNPs/graphene) was fabricated according to a self-assembly procedure followed by functionalization with streptavidin (SA) and was used as electrochemical label in the electrochemical detection of human immunoglobulin E (IgE) through a sandwich-type strategy. The thiol-capped IgE DNA aptamer was used as capture probe, while the SA functionalized AgNPs/graphene (SA-AgNPs/graphene) linked with biotinylated goat anti-human IgE antibody was used as detection probe. The electrochemical signal from AgNPs anchored on the graphene was obtained through square wave anodic stripping voltammetry. The results demonstrated that this electrochemical biosensor possessed a dynamic range from 10 to 1000ngmL−1 with a low detection limit of 3.6ngmL−1. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Esophageal cancer, as a high incidence of gastrointestinal cancer, has an indelible impact on human life and health. The combination of Chinese herbal injections and chemotherapy is commonly applied in the treatment of Esophageal cancer. This study aimed to confirm the clinical advantage of Compound Kushen Injection to treat esophageal cancer and explore its molecular mechanism. The network meta-analysis method was used for the clinical evaluation of anti-tumor Chinese herbal injections. Initially, several electronic databases were searched to identify randomized controlled trials regarding Chinese herbal injections to treat esophageal cancer from their inception to September 5, 2020. Compound Kushen Injection was determined as the dominant variety in the treatment of esophageal cancer which can inhibit the proliferation of esophageal cancer cells and downregulate the overexpression of EGFR and AURKA mRNA and protein. In this study, network meta-analysis was applied to confirm that Compound Kushen Injection has a curative effect on esophageal cancer and is superior to other anti-tumor Chinese herbal injections. Combined with the network pharmacology and in vitro experiment, the mechanism of Compound Kushen Injection inhibiting the proliferation of esophageal cancer cells by regulating the abnormal expression of EGFR and AURKA was revealed.
