Cascade reservoirs were designed for the Yalong River basin, which ranks as the third-largest hydropower base in China. Reservoir impoundment has certain impacts on local climate, but few researches focus on this field. This paper integrates spatiotemporal analysis techniques and geostatistical methods to identify the reservoir projected meteorological indices (MIs) variations as well as the impact scope under different circumstances. Results show that the reservoir projected variations of moisture indexes were much more significant than temperatures. Anthropogenic disturbance has led to a dramatic decrease of relative humidity in the past decade, far beyond its periodic amplitude range. Moreover, dry valleys faced more serious drought risk, but reservoir impoundment of this region alleviated the local drought risk. The daily minimum temperature, relative to the maximum temperature, was more sensitive to catchment changes with an earlier appearance of temperature zone variation. Since impounding, the MIs' internal relationships in nondry valleys varied significantly more than that in dry valleys, with a positive correlation of 0.7 between the relative humidity and precipitation weakening greatly. The severe warming hotspots are distributed in the upper reach and have a probability of 0.95-1 to exceed the 1.5°C IPCC control target. This study provides references for the disturbance of reservoir impoundment to local climate at multiple temporal--spatial scales under different circumstances and contributes to the MIs variation pattern identification and quantitative risk assessment. The effects of the surface and bulk traps on current collapse in AlGaN/GaN high electron mobility transistor were investigated by the transient behaviors of the devices. The results proved that the traps at the surface had little effect on current collapse when the device was well passivated, but the traps in the buffer layer played an important role. Two bulk trap levels were observed in these devices. In addition, the effects of light illumination on the bulk traps were studied in detail. It was found that light illumination enhanced the resumption of the current collapse after the field stress. The contribution of lights illumination with various wavelengths to the current collapse was also investigated to study the trap energy levels. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: The present study determined the effects of saphenous nerve stimulation (SNS) at different stimulation frequencies on bladder reflex and explored a possible action mechanism of tibial nerve stimulation (TNS) on bladder activity in cats. Methods: Two bipolar nerve cuff electrodes were implanted on the saphenous nerve and the contralateral tibial nerve in 13 cats, respectively. Multiple cystometrograms were obtained to determine the effects of single SNS at different frequencies and that of combined SNS and TNS on the micturition reflex by infusing normal saline. Results: SNS at 1 Hz significantly reduced the bladder capacity (BC) to 59.8%±7.7% and 59.3%±5.8% of the control level at the intensity threshold (T) and 2T, respectively (P<0.05), while that at 20 Hz significantly increased the BC to 130.6%±4.2% of the control level at 6T (P<0.05). The TNS and SNS at 20 Hz did not significantly change the BCs at 1T (P>0.05), while combined stimulation at 1T significantly increased the BC to 122.7%±1.9% of the control level and induced an inhibitory effect which was similar to that TNS at 2T. Conclusions: The current study revealed that SNS reduced and increased BC depending on different stimulation frequencies. The combined SNS and TNS maximized the clinical efficacy at a low intensity.
