To address digital video copyright protection issue, this paper proposed a method which was based on ORB local feature that was a binary feature descriptor and ordinal measure global feature for video copy detection. The method detected shot from video through comparing Bhattacharyya distance of the adjacent frames' gray histogram and selected the first frame in shot as a key-frame. Then it extracted the ordinal measure feature and ORB feature from key-frames respectively. When query video came, it used ordinal measure feature to get the first result which could remove some irrelevant videos and then obtained the video copy result through ORB feature. Experimental results show the effectiveness and usefulness of the proposed approach for video copy detection, both the accuracy and recall are above 80%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: Technological advance of wide-area measurement systems (WAMS) has enabled the use of a combination of measured information from remote location for transient stability enhancement. However, there exist time delays when remote signals are transported in WAMS. Moreover, the time delays are multiple and uncertain, and depend on the distance, protocol of transmission and several other factors. In order to improve the transient stability of wide-area power system, taking into account the impacts of the time delays and the uncertainties introduced by nonlinearity in system model, a delay-independent decentralized coordinated robust approach is proposed to design excitation controller in terms of H ∞ optimization method incorporating linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique based on T-S fuzzy model by using wide-area signals. Simulation demonstrates that the four-machine large system under the robust excitation controller has better transient stability performance in the face of various transmission time delays, severe variations of operating point and faults in various locations. Human polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a highly heritable disease regulated by genetic and environmental factors. Identifying PCOS genes is time consuming and costly in wet-lab. Developing an algorithm to predict PCOS candidates will be helpful. In this study, for the first time, we systematically analyzed properties of human PCOS genes. Compared with genes not yet known to be involved in PCOS regulation, known PCOS genes display distinguishing characteristics: (i) they tend to be located at network center; (ii) they tend to interact with each other; (iii) they tend to enrich in certain biological processes. Based on these features, we developed a machine-learning algorithm to predict new PCOS genes. 233 PCOS candidates were predicted with a posterior probability >0.9. Objective Endothelium-independent coronary vasoconstriction induced by continuous hypoxia contributes to the development of ischemic heart diseases. Acute elevation of homocysteine (Hcy) has a potent of vasodilation. The present study aims to investigate the role of Hcy in endothelium-independent hypoxic coronary vasoconstriction and its underlying mechanisms. Methods and results Vessel tension of isolated porcine coronary arteries was measured by organ chamber study and the protein expression were detected by western blot. A sustained contraction of porcine coronary artery was induced when exposed to prolonged hypoxia for more than 15 min, which was significantly reduced by Hcy in a dose-dependent manner but not affected by cysteine or N -acetyl- l -cysteine. Phosphorylated myosin light chain (MLC-p) at Ser19 was decreased when exposure to hypoxia for 15 min, and could be reversed by prolonged hypoxia for 30 and 60 min. The recovery of MLC-p at Ser19 by hypoxia for more than 30 min could be abolished by Hcy. The protein levels of phosphorylated Akt at Ser473 and phosphorylated P85 at Tyr508 were decreased by Hcy in normoxia, and were also reduced exposure to hypoxia for 15 min and then augmented by prolonged hypoxia for more than 30 min, which could be prevented by Hcy. The protein level of P110α was not affected by Hcy or prolonged hypoxia. Conclusions This study demonstrates that Hcy can ameliorate the endothelium-independent hypoxic coronary vasoconstriction, in which the inhibition of PI3K/Akt signaling pathway may be involved. Abstract: The effects of orally administered marine red yeast Rhodosporidium paludigenum on growth performance and antioxidant competence of Litopenaeus vannamei were evaluated in a six-week feeding trial. The shrimps were fed with three diets, including the control diet, the diet containing 1% dry yeast and the diet containing 108 yeastsg−1 diet. R. paludigenum supplementation caused significant increase in WG, SGR and survival rate of the shrimps as compared with the control group (p<0.05). No statistical differences were found in MDA content of serum and hepatopancreases. Higher T-AOC of serum and higher SOD, GPX activities of hepatopancreases from L. vannamei were observed in the group fed with the dry yeast diet. In addition higher T-AOC, CAT, SOD, GPX activities in serum and higher SOD, GPX activities of hepatopancreases of shrimps were observed in the group fed with live yeast diet. The statistical differences were found in MDA content of muscle, and SOD activities were significantly lower in the groups fed with the live yeast diet and the dry yeast diet as compared with the control group (p<0.05). The results showed that the diet supplemented with R. paludigenum could enhance the growth performance and antioxidant competence of L. vannamei, and R. paludigenum had the potential to be a promising probiotic.
