Abstract: Intraosseous cyst of the carpal bones is a rare cause of wrist pain. Few cases have been reported. We report a rare case of intraosseous ganglion cyst of the capitate, in a girl aged 16 who plain of chronic pain of the right wrist. The radiological assessment showed an osteolytic lesion with marginal sclerosis. The diagnosis was confirmed by histopathology and treatment consisted of curettage with autologous cancellous bone graft. At 8 months follow-up, the capitate is fully consolidated and the functional result is satisfactory. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Abstract: The combination of elbow dislocation and perilunate dislocation is rare. The prognosis of this condition depends mainly on that of the wrist. While some cases of floating forearm have been reported, no bilateral affection has -of yet- to our knowledge, been published. The authors report a case of a young patient who presented with bilateral floating forearm after a fall from a height. The treatment was surgical at the wrist. Common peroneal neuropathy is the most common compressive neuropathy in the lower extremities. The anatomical relationship of the fibular head with the peroneal nerve explains entrapment in this location. We report the case of a 14-year-old boy admitted with a left foot drop. The diagnosis was an osteochondroma of the proximal fibula compressing the common peroneal nerve. The patient underwent surgical decompression of the nerve and resection of the exostosis. Three months postoperatively, there was a complete recovery of the deficits. The association of osteochondroma and peroneal nerve palsy is rare. Early diagnosis is required in order to adjust the management and improve the results. It is worth to underscore that surgical resection is proven to be the appropriate treatment method ensuring high success rates. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
