Summary: To improve the gain of the corner‐slotted, wideband microstrip patch antenna (MPA), a three‐dimensional (3D) hemispherical dielectric lens (DL) and dielectric cylinder‐based hybrid structure is introduced. DL is constructed and integrated on the surface of the patch antenna to increase the gain performance. Three‐dimensional printing techniques contribute considerably to lens production. The 3D manufacturing technique provides greater freedom and versatility than conventional manufacturing methods. The DL increased the proposed single‐patch antenna gain from 6.2 to 13.7 dBi with stable gain fluctuation in the working frequency spectrum spanning between 27.5 and 31 GHz. This implies a notable increase in gain of 7.5 dBi and a consistently uniform gain characteristic throughout a 5‐GHz wide frequency range. Furthermore, the DL‐loaded antenna parameters such as |S11|, gain (dBi), axial ratio (AR), radiation efficiency (%), and radiation patterns measured results are compared with simulated plots. Overall, the measured results agree well with the simulated findings. Dentin pulp has a complex function as a major unit in maintaining the vitality of teeth. In this sense, the Wnt/β-Catenin pathway has a vital part in tooth development, maintenance, repair, and regeneration by controlling physiological activities such as growth, differentiation, and migration. This pathway consists of a network of proteins, such as Wnt signaling molecules, which interact with receptors of targeted cells and play a role in development and adult tissue homeostasis. The Wnt signals are specific spatiotemporally, suggesting its intricate mechanism in development, regulation, repair, and regeneration by the formation of tertiary dentin. This review provides an overview of the recent advances in the Wnt/β-Catenin signaling pathway in dentin and pulp regeneration, how different proteins, molecules, and ligands influence this pathway, either upregulating or silencing it, and how it may be used in the future for clinical dentistry, in vital pulp therapy as an effective treatment for dental caries, as an alternative approach for root canal therapy, and to provide a path for therapeutic and regenerative dentistry. The issue of signal outages in sub-THz frequency communication for future 6G networks is addressed by this research. A machine learning method is proposed, employing Random Forest and K-Means algorithms to predict the optimal frequency band and outage probabilities for UAV relays. Both space and frequency diversity are explored to enhance signal strength, and metasurfacecarrying UAVs are introduced with a 16 × 16 mm² design. This design significantly reduces the predicted outage probability from 0.1% to 0.0178%. Microalgae are the preferred species for producing astaxanthin because they pose a low toxicity risk than chemical synthesis. Astaxanthin has multiple health benefits and is being used in: medicines, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, and functional foods. Haematococcus pluvialis is a model microalga for astaxanthin biosynthesis; however, its natural astaxanthin content is low. Therefore, it is necessary to develop methods to improve the biosynthesis of astaxanthin to meet industrial demands, making its commercialization cost-effective. Several strategies related to cultivation conditions are employed to enhance the biosynthesis of astaxanthin in H. pluvialis. However, the mechanism of its regulation by transcription factors is unknown. For the first time, this study critically reviewed the studies on identifying transcription factors, progress in H. pluvialis genetic transformation, and use of phytohormones that increase the gene expression related to astaxanthin biosynthesis. In addition, we propose future approaches, including (i) Cloning and characterization of transcription factors, (ii) Transcriptional engineering through overexpression of positive regulators or downregulation/silencing of negative regulators, (iii) Gene editing for enrichment or deletion of transcription factors binding sites, (iv) Hormonal modulation of transcription factors. This review provides considerable knowledge about the molecular regulation of astaxanthin biosynthesis and the existing research gap. In this article, four elements circularly polarized trapezoid multiple inputs and multiple outputs (MIMO) antenna for UWB application is presented. The electrical dimension of presented four elements MIMO antenna in term of lambda (λ) is 0.44λ × 0.44λ × 0.012λ. The novel loop parasitic is used for the enhancement of isolation and impedance bandwidth. The reflection coefficient (Sij ∈ i = j) is less than − 10dB in range of 2.4 GHz and 13.5 GHz and isolation (Sij ∈ i ≠ j) is greater than 22dB in given range. The axial ratio bandwidth (ARBW) of presented trapezoid antenna is 3.6 GHz; less than − 3dB in the range of 6.7 and 10.3 GHz. The peak gain is 5.9dBi, diversity gain (DG) > 9.89dB and envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) < 0.022. Various other parameters such as radiation pattern, reflection coefficient, Isolation, multiplexing efficiency, ECC, DG and peak gain are discussed in detail for experimental validation. Scorpion venoms are known to contain over 100,000 biologically active constituents. However, only a few of them have been studied. The major constituents of venom are proteins and peptides, which exhibit various biological and pharmacological properties, including anticancer activities. In the current study, the venom of yellow scorpions (Buthus sindicus) found in Sindh, Pakistan, was extracted and evaluated for its anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory activities. The crude venom showed a dose dependent inhibition of phagocyte oxidative burst from human whole blood cells (28.3% inhibition at highest tested concentration of 300 μg/mL). In-vitro cytotoxicity of crude venom was evaluated against human prostrate (PC3), cervical (HeLa) and neuroblastoma (U87-MG) cell lines, along with cytotoxicity against normal human fibroblast (BJ) cells. Crude venom was cytotoxic to all cell lines, with prominent inhibitory effect on PC3 cells. Crude venom was fractionated through RP-UPLC, resulted in fifteen fractions, followed by evaluation of their anticancer potential. Among all, the fraction I significantly (P < 0.001) reduced the cell viability of all three cancer cell lines, and exhibited insignificant cytotoxicity against normal cell line. Furthermore, the apoptotic cell death pathway was evaluated for crude venom, and fraction I, in most sensitive cell line PC3, by using flow-cytometry analysis. Both crude venom and its fraction I caused a mitochondrial-mediated apoptosis in prostate cancer cells (PC3). To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of the anticancer and anti-inflammatory activity of venom of Pakistani yellow scorpions. The genus Nepeta L. is a member of the family Lamiaceae, commonly known as catmints or catnips. Nepeta L. has been used in traditional medicine to treat a variety of diseases. Additionally, it is sometimes used in herbal tea for its calming effects. Chemical fingerprinting of Nepeta species can help in determining the specific chemical constituents present in different species or varieties, and it can be useful for authentication, quality control, and phytochemical studies. This study provides comprehensive insights into the chemical composition of four Nepeta species including Nepeta erecta (Royle ex Benth.) Benth., Nepeta laevigata (D. Don) Hand.-Mazz., Nepeta nervosa Royle ex Benth. and Nepeta praetervisa Rech. f. using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS). The quantitative examination of phytochemicals such as phenols, flavonoids, alkaloids, and carbohydrates was done using different methods. The antioxidant activity of Nepeta species (methanolic extracts) was evaluated using free radical scavenging (FRSC) assay, 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay and ferric reducing the ability of plasma (FRAP) assay. A total of 42 compounds belonging to different classes of natural products were identified in all species. All species exhibit high antioxidant activity. These findings contribute to understanding Nepeta species as a valuable source of natural products with potential therapeutic applications. In this paper, we present a mathematical approach for studying the changes in pressure and temperature variables in flames. This conception extends beyond the traditional second-order Laplacian diffusion model by considering the p-Laplacian operator and a bi-stable reaction term, thereby providing a more generalized framework for flame diffusion analysis. Given the structure of our equations, we provide the boundedness and uniqueness of the solutions in a weak sense from both analytical and numerical approaches. We further reformulate the governing equations in the context of traveling wave solutions, applying singular geometric perturbation theory to derive the analytical expressions of these profiles. This theoretical development is complemented by numerical assessments, which not only validate our theoretical predictions, but also optimize the traveling wave speed to minimize the error between numerical and analytical solutions. Additionally, we explore self-similar structured solutions. The paper then concludes with a perspective on future research, with emphasis being placed on the need for experimental validation in laboratory settings. Such empirical studies could test the robustness of our model and allow for refinement based on actual measurements, thereby broadening the applicability and accuracy of our findings in practical scenarios. The present study aims to gain insights into the response mechanisms of drought stress tolerance among two contrasting melon (Cucumis melo L.) genotypes. Drought stress was imposed by polyethylene glycol (10%) for 7 days and various physiochemical and molecular characteristics were analyzed on different days of drought stress treatment. Results revealed that the drought-sensitive genotype (MG-II) was significantly affected by drought stress, as evidenced from the elevation in hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), malondialdehyde content (MDA), and electrolyte leakage (EC). Furthermore, drought stress significantly hindered the vegetative growth, chlorophyll fluorescence, photosynthetic pigments, and leaf gas exchange characteristics of MG-II genotypes. In contrast, the drought-resistant genotype (MG-I) exhibited a robust response to drought stress, characterized by marked upregulation in the antioxidant enzyme genes and activities, which in turn resulted in a decrease in oxidative damage and improved vegetative growth and photosynthetic functions. Additionally, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) revealed that the oxidative damage triggered by drought stress was more severe in the MG-II genotype, which exhibited an irregular chloroplast shape compared to the MG-I. These findings may potentially enhance our comprehension of coping strategies involved in drought stress tolerance and provide materials for future melon breeding and molecular studies. Pulp-Dentin regeneration is a key aspect of maintain tooth vitality and enabling good oral-systemic health. This study aimed to investigate a nanofibrous scaffold loaded with a small molecule i.e. Tideglusib to promote odontogenic differentiation. Tideglusib (GSK-3β inhibitor) interaction with GSK-3β was determined using molecular docking and stabilization of β-catenin was examined by confocal microscopy. 3D nanofibrous scaffolds were fabricated through electrospinning and their physicochemical characterizations were performed. Scaffolds were seeded with mesenchymal stem cells or pre-odontoblast cells to determine the cells proliferation and odontogenic differentiation. Our results showed that Tideglusib (TG) binds with GSK-3β at Cys199 residue. Stabilization and nuclear translocation of β-catenin was increased in the odontoblast cells treated with TG. SEM analysis revealed that nanofibers exhibited controlled architectural features that effectively mimicked the natural ECM. UV-Vis spectroscopy demonstrated that TG was incorporated successfully and released in a controlled manner. Both kinds of biomimetic nanofibrous matrices (PCLF-TG100, PCLF-TG1000) significantly stimulated cells proliferation. Furthermore, these scaffolds significantly induced dentinogenic markers (ALP, and DSPP) expression and biomineralization. In contrast to current pulp capping material driving dentin repair, the sophisticated, polymeric scaffold systems with soluble and insoluble spatiotemporal cues described here can direct stem cell differentiation and dentin regeneration. Wound healing is a multifaceted biological process influenced by both intrinsic and extrinsic factors. The ability of Wnt signaling to activate cell proliferation appears to serve a central role in wound healing. Therefore, the direct activation of Wnt or inhibition of the Wnt antagonist could be an ideal approach for the stimulation of wound healing. This study aimed to investigate the underlying mechanism of small molecule-loaded nanofibrous matrix in inducing wound healing. Herein, a naturally derived small molecule, curcumin, was used to inhibit the GSK3-β, which is considered a negative regulator of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. The docking results demonstrated that curcumin makes a complex with GSK3-β at seven specific sites, thereby inhibiting its activity. Moreover, the stabilization of β-catenin appeared to be increased with the treatment of curcumin. Next, curcumin was incorporated in poly ε-caprolactone nanofibrous matrices for controlled–sustained drug release to induce cell function. Curcumin-loaded nanofibrous matrix not only enhanced fibroblast cell proliferation, but also induced the expression of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) in vitro. Moreover, the in vivo results showed that these nanofibrous mats significantly induced wound closure in 12 mm critical-sized defect. Collectively, these results suggest that the developed nanofibrous matrix promotes impaired wound healing by modulating cell proliferation and enhancing FGF expression that promotes wound closure. Identifying mild dehydration (≤2% of body mass) is important to prevent the negative effects of more severe dehydration on human health and performance. It is unknown whether a single hydration marker can identify both mild intracellular dehydration (ID) and extracellular dehydration (ED) with adequate diagnostic accuracy (≥0.7 receiver-operating characteristic--area under the curve [ROC-AUC]). Thus, in 15 young healthy men, the authors determined the diagnostic accuracy of 15 hydration markers after three randomized 48-hr trials; euhydration (water 36 ml·kg-1·day-1), ID caused by exercise and 48 hr of fluid restriction (water 2 ml·kg-1·day-1), and ED caused by a 4-hr diuretic-induced diuresis begun at 44 hr (Furosemide 0.65 mg/kg). Body mass was maintained on euhydration, and dehydration was mild on ID and ED (1.9% [0.5%] and 2.0% [0.3%] of body mass, respectively). Urine color, urine specific gravity, plasma osmolality, saliva flow rate, saliva osmolality, heart rate variability, and dry mouth identified ID (ROC-AUC; range 0.70--0.99), and postural heart rate change identified ED (ROC-AUC 0.82). Thirst 0--9 scale (ROC-AUC 0.97 and 0.78 for ID and ED) and urine osmolality (ROC-AUC 0.99 and 0.81 for ID and ED) identified both dehydration types. However, only the thirst 0--9 scale had a common dehydration threshold (≥4; sensitivity and specificity of 100%; 87% and 71%, 87% for ID and ED). In conclusion, using a common dehydration threshold ≥4, the thirst 0--9 scale identified mild intracellular and ED with adequate diagnostic accuracy. Artemisinin, a sesquiterpene lactone obtained from Artemisia annua , is an essential therapeutic against malaria. YABBY family transcription factor AaYABBY5 is an activator of AaCYP71AV1 (cytochrome P450–dependent hydroxylase) and AaDBR2 (double-bond reductase 2); however, the protein–protein interactions of AaYABBY5, as well as the mechanism of its regulation, have not yet been elucidated. AaWRKY9 protein is a positive regulator of artemisinin biosynthesis that activates AaGSW1 (glandular trichome–specific WRKY1) and AaDBR2 (double-bond reductase 2). In this study, YABBY–WRKY interactions are revealed to indirectly regulate artemisinin production. AaYABBY5 significantly increased the activity of the luciferase (LUC) gene fused to the promoter of AaGSW1. Toward the molecular basis of this regulation, AaYABBY5 interaction with AaWRKY9 protein was found. The combined effectors AaYABBY5 + AaWRKY9 showed synergistic effects toward the activities of AaGSW1 and AaDBR2 promoters, respectively. In AaYABBY5 overexpression plants, the expression of GSW1 was found to be significantly increased when compared to that of AaYABBY5 antisense or control plants. In addition, AaGSW1 was identified as an upstream activator of AaYABBY5. Further, it was found that AaJAZ8, a transcriptional repressor of jasmonate signaling, interacted with AaYABBY5 and attenuated its activity. Co-expression of AaYABBY5 and anti- AaJAZ8 in A. annua increased the activity of AaYABBY5 toward artemisinin biosynthesis. This current study provides the first indication of the molecular basis of regulation of artemisinin biosynthesis through YABBY–WRKY interactions, which are regulated through AaJAZ8. In this study, a technique for designing a compact and low radar cross section (RCS) circularly polarized (CP) antenna is proposed. The designed CP antenna resonates at 8.7 GHz. The circular polarization is achieved by trimming opposite corners of the square patch and etching out thin slots. A new method is used to keep the radiation performance well preserved and to reduce the RCS of the CP antenna by employing polarization conversion metasurfaces. The PCM comprises double‐head arrow elements arranged around the CP antenna in four quadrants. Wideband monostatic RCS reduction is achieved for frequencies from 8.0 to 20 GHz. The experimental results verify the simulated ones, and also, the performance parameters such are realized gain, impedance bandwidth, axial ratio, and radiation pattern are well preserved after loading polarization conversion metasurface. Purpose: This article aims to study a model of flame propagation in a nonhomogeneous medium with a p-Laplacian operator. The intention with such operator is to model the effects of slow and fast diffusion, that can appear in a nonhomogeneous media, depending on the pressure driven conditions. In addition, the authors introduce a general form in the reaction term, that introduces the flame chemical kinetics. Design/methodology/approach: To introduce the governing equations, the authors depart from previously reported models in flame propagation, but the authors consider a new modeling approach based on a p-Laplacian operator. Findings: The authors provide evidences of regularity and uniqueness of solutions. Afterward, the authors introduce profiles of stationary solutions based on the definition of a Hamiltonian for the newly discussed model. Eventually, the authors obtain exponential profiles solutions with the help of a scaling, that transforms the model into a nonlinear Hamilton–Jacobi equation. Originality/value: The new model has not been previously reported in the literature. The authors consider that the mathematical properties of a p-laplacian (in particular the property known as finite propagation) is of inherent interest to model pressure drive flames with slow or fast diffusion. Indeed, the authors' approach has the value of providing an operator that can fit better to model flame propagation. Pakchoi (Brassica campestris ssp. Chinensis) is a leafy vegetable which has been widely cultivated and consumed worldwide due to its low calorific value, a large supply of macro and micronutrients, beneficial phytochemicals and fibers. Amino acids have a vital role in plant nutrition; however, the effect of glycine and nitrate (Gly/NO3-N) on health-promoting phytochemicals, biomass, and antioxidant activities has gained a little attention. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the impact of glycine and nitrate on health-promoting phytochemicals and yield/biomass of pakchoi. Glycine and nitrate were employed in different proportions (control, Gly/NO3-N = 3:1, Gly/NO3-N = 1:1, and Gly/NO3-N = 1:3 in the Venlo greenhouse, Shanghai Jiao Tong university, China. Results showed that compared to control, the treatment with Gly/NO3-N notably increased the secondary metabolites like polyphenols, flavonoids, glutathione (GSH), ascorbic acid (vitamin C), antioxidant potential (FRAP and DPPH value), and biomass in pakchoi plants. The contents of all antioxidants were high under the treatment of Gly/NO3-N（1:1). Interestingly, the contents of flavonoids were significantly enhanced (107.10%) by Gly/NO3-N = 1:1 than control plants. Furthermore, the content of Phe increased by 33.79%-86.32%, and also the activity of catabolic enzymes (CHI, CHS, C4H, and PAL) of the polyphenols pathway was found to be significantly enhanced while the activity of 4CL and DFR was restrained by the treatment of Gly/NO3-N, compared with control plants. In addition, the correlation analysis of polyphenols and flavonoids with Phe, PAL, C4H, CHS, and CHI showed a positive correlation, while a negative correlation was found in the case of 4CL and DFR. Taken together, the current findings suggest that the application of Gly/NO3-N enhanced polyphenols metabolism as well as increased the total polyphenolic content and antioxidant activity. Background: Mucormycosis is a serious fungal infection associated with uncontrolled diabetes and immunocompromised patients. This angioinvasive infection emerged as a post‐covid complication worldwide especially in developing countries. Due to the common socio‐demographic status of South Asian countries, we expected a surge in mucormycosis cases in Pakistan. This study aims to observe the frequency and survival of Covid associated mucormycosis patients at tertiary care hospitals in Pakistan during the third wave of Covid‐19 in 2021. Materials and Methods: In this retrospective study, we collected the data of clinically and histopathologically confirmed cases of rhino‐occipito‐cerebral mucormycosis from three tertiary care hospitals of Lahore. These cases were analysed for history of Covid‐19 and other associated comorbidities using SPSS28. History of steroid medication was also taken. Data were retrieved from May to July 2021 after the approval from the ethical review board. Results: Out of the total 43 reported patients of mucormycosis in the set time frame only 22 cases had a history of Covid‐19. The mean age was 50 ± 13.27 years with slight male predilection (60%). Diabetes mellitus was the most common comorbidity (88.4%) and all the patients with covid associated mucormycosis (CAM) had taken corticosteroid regimen for covid management (p < 0.0001). The survival of the patient was not significantly different between CAM and non‐CAM patients of Mucormycosis (p = 0.747). Conclusion: Covid‐19 and mucormycosis make a lethal duo against the weakened health system of Pakistan. This problem can be prevented by avoiding nonjudicial use of corticosteroids and proper diabetes control program following Covid‐19 infection. This work presents a wideband, all-side square-cut square patch multiple-input, multiple-output circularly-polarized (MIMO-CP) high-isolation antenna. The MIMO-CP antenna contains a two-port square cut on all corners of the square patch, and parasitic elements of 9 × 5 periodic square metallic plates are designed and operated. The outer dimensions of the antenna are 40 × 70 mm2, and the FR4 substrate height is 1.6 mm. The proposed antenna with the parasitic elements improves impedance matching and enhances S-parameters and axial ratio (AR). In the suggested MIMO-CP antenna, a parasitic element is designed and placed around the antenna periodically to reduce mutual coupling (MC) and improve CP. Simulated results show that the suggested antenna has a wide bandwidth (BW) from 4.89 to 6.85 GHz for S11 and was < −10 dB with AR ≤ 3 dB from 5.42 to 6.58 GHz, with a peak gain of 6.6 dB. The suggested antennas have more than 30 dB isolation and a low profile, are affordable, easily made, and are CP. To make a comparison with the measured and simulated results, a MIMO-CP antenna structure was fabricated and tested. The suggested antenna is better in terms of efficiency, envelope correlation coefficient (ECC), diversity gain (DG), channel capacity loss (CCL), and total active reflection coefficient (TARC). Background and Aims: Health care workers (HCWs) are thought to be high‐risk population for acquiring coronavirus disease (COVID‐19). The COVID‐19 emergence has had a profound effect on healthcare system. We sought to investigate the COVID‐19 among HCWs and their effects on the healthcare system. Methods: A cross sectional observational study was conducted at Timergara teaching hospital. The study included HCWs with positive real time polymerase chain reaction (Q‐PCR) for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS‐CoV‐2). The study duration was from April to September, 2020. The demographic profile of each recruited subject was collected through structured interview. The patient's admissions to hospital were collected for the 5 months before (October 2019–February 2020) and 5 months after lockdown (March–July 2020). Results: A total of 72 out of 689 (10%) HCWs were tested positive for SARS‐CoV‐2, of whom 83% were front‐liners. The majority were male (72%), with comorbidities (14%) and no mortality. The structured interview of all participants showed that the healthcare setting was the major possible source of infection (97%). The patient admissions into the hospital were reduced by 42% during lockdown than prelockdown period. The patients admission was significantly decreased in the medical ward during lockdown (60% decrease; p < 0.01) with slightly similar trends in other departments. Conclusion: In conclusion, we found increased risk of COVID‐19 for front‐line HCWs. Lack of mortality was the favorable outcome. Lack of replacing the infected HCWs possibly explained the marked decrease in hospital admissions, and potential inadequate healthcare delivery during the lockdown. Understanding SARS‐CoV‐2 among HCWs and their impact on health‐care system will be crucial for countries under COVID‐19 crises or in case of future pandemic to deliver proper health services. The intention and novelty in the presented study were to develop the regularity analysis for a parabolic equation describing a type of Eyring-Powell fluid flow in two dimensions. We proved that, under certain general conditions involving the space of bounded mean oscillation ( ) and the Lebesgue space , there exist bounded and regular velocity solutions under the space scope. This conclusion was additionally supplemented by the condition of a finite square integrable initial data (also some of the obtained expressions involved the gradient and the laplacian of the initial velocity distribution). To make our results further general, the proposed analysis was extended to cover regularity results in spaces. The modeling of fluid flows with a p-Laplacian operator has attracted the interest of researchers to describe non-Newtonian fluids. One of the main reasons is the possibility of obtaining values for p (in the p-Laplacian) based on experimental settings. The main contributions of our study consist in providing analytical assessments of weak solutions, together with a numerical validating analysis, to a one-dimensional fluid in magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) flowing in porous media. We define a new Darcy–Forchheimer term and a generalized form of a constitutive kinematic that provides a p-Laplacian operator. Firstly, we discuss about the regularity and boundedness of weak solutions to support the existence and uniqueness analyses. Afterward, we explore solutions based on a selfsimilar profile. The resulting elliptic equation is solved based on the analytical perturbation technique. Eventually, a numerical analysis is provided with the intention of validating the analytical solution obtained. As a remarkable outcome, we establish minimum values in the selfsimilar variable for which the global distances between the analytical and the numerical solutions are below 10 - 2 and 10 - 3 . In this paper, a metasurface (MS)-based multi-functional electromagnetic (EM) structure is proposed to realize its two different applications, namely absorption and radiation. The proposed structure is based on periodic arrays of disk-shaped metallic patches and split rings with four embedded lumped resistors. The metallic vias are inserted from top to bottom to connect the disk-shaped patches with a feeding network designed on the bottom layer where two p-i-n switches are embedded in the feeding network to alter the different functions of the proposed structure. For free space incident plan wave, the designed structure works as an absorber when the p-i-n switches are switched OFF. The absorber operates over a frequency band from 6.2 GHz to 8.2 GHz and unchanged over an incident angle from 0° to 30° for both TE and TM polarized incident waves. The same structure also works as a low scattering and high gain radiator when the p-i-n switches are turned ON and radiate within absorbing frequency band, i.e. from 7.5 to 8.0 GHz. The purpose of the present study is to obtain regularity results and existence topics regarding an Eyring–Powell fluid. The geometry under study is given by a semi-infinite conduct with a rectangular cross section of dimensions L × H . Starting from the initial velocity profiles (u 1 0 , u 2 0) in x y -planes, the fluid flows along the z-axis subjected to a constant magnetic field and Dirichlet boundary conditions. The global existence is shown in different cases. Soil treated with only biochar or organic fertilizer has been extensively documented to influence the soil nitrification process due to its impact on soil characteristics. However, the dynamic response of ammonia oxidizers to the combined application of biochar and organic fertilizer in slightly alkaline soil is yet to be studied. Therefore, this study intended to evaluate the abundance and composition of ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (AOB) and ammonia-oxidizing archaea (AOA) in incubated soil by using quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) and terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism (T-RFLP) analysis of amoA genes. The incubation lasted 106 days and involved 4 treatments: the control (CK); 2% (w/w) organic fertilizer (O); 2% (w/w) biochar (B); and a combination of 2% (w/w) organic fertilizer and biochar (OB). Our results showed that AOB and AOA abundance increased significantly and changed over time in the biochar-treated soil at late stages of the incubation. AOA abundance increased nearly 19 times more than AOB abundance in the biochar treatment as compared to the control, indicating that biochar is more crucial to promote AOA abundance than AOB abundance. Moreover, T-RFLP analysis showed that the interaction between biochar and organic fertilizer significantly altered AOA community composition over time due to the effect of biochar and organic fertilizer amendments on soluble organic nitrogen (SON). The soil treated with organic fertilizer had the specific community compositions at the end of the incubation, suggesting that organic fertilizer changed the AOB community composition by increasing available phosphorus (AP), available potassium (AK), and total nitrogen (TN). Our findings, therefore, revealed that biochar can improve AOA abundance and composition by enhancing SON, while organic fertilizer can greatly increase AOB by regulating AP, AK, and TN. Hydrogels can provide instant relief to pain and facilitate the fast recovery of wounds. Currently, the incorporation of medicinal herbs/plants in polymer matrix is being investigated due to their anti-bacterial and wound healing properties. Herein, we investigated the novel combination of chitosan (CS) and chondroitin sulfate (CHI) to synthesize hydrogels through freeze gelation process and enriched it with garlic (Gar) by soaking the hydrogels in garlic juice for faster wound healing and resistance to microbial growth at the wound surface. The synthesized hydrogels were characterized via Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), which confirmed the presence of relevant functional groups. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images exhibited the porous structure of the hydrogels, which is useful for the sustained release of Gar from the hydrogels. The synthesized hydrogels showed significant inhibition zones against Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus). Furthermore, cell culture studies confirmed the cyto-compatibility of the synthesized hydrogels. The goal of this paper is to provide analytical assessments to a fluid flowing in a porous medium with a non-linear diffusion linked to a degenerate diffusivity. The viscosity term is formulated with an Eyring-Powell law, together with a non-homogeneous diffusion typical of porous medium equations (as known in the theory of partial differential equations). Further, the equation is supplemented with an absorptive reaction term of Darcy-Forchheimer, commonly used to model flows in porous medium. The work starts by analyzing regularity, existence and uniqueness of solutions. Afterwards, the problem is transformed to study travelling wave kind of solutions. An asymptotic expansion is considered with a convergence criteria based on the geometric perturbation theory. Supported by this theory, there exists an exponential decaying rate in the travelling wave profile. Such exponential behaviour is validated with a numerical assessment. This is not a trivial result given the degenerate diffusivity induced by the non-linear diffusion of porous medium type and suggests the existence of regularity that can serve as a baseline to construct numerical or energetic approaches. The goal of this study is to provide an analysis of a Fisher-KPP non-linear reaction problem with a higher-order diffusion and a non-linear advection. We study the existence and uniqueness of solutions together with asymptotic solutions and positivity conditions. We show the existence of instabilities based on a shooting method approach. Afterwards, we study the existence and uniqueness of solutions as an abstract evolution of a bounded continuous single parametric (t) semigroup. An experiment "Effect of Moringa leaf extract and its solution application forms on growth and yield of okra" was carried out at Agriculture Research Institute North Mingora, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan in the year 2019. Current study was consisted of two factors and was carried out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. Factor 'A' was solution application forms i.e. fresh Moringa leaf extract solution and dry Moringa leaf powder solution, while Factor B was Moringa leaf extract levels (0, 2, 4, 6, and 8%). Different forms of Moringa leaf extract solution and levels positively affected growth and yield of okra. The maximum plant height (226.1cm), flowers plant-1 (34.5), number of fruit pickings (28.3), pod length (9.5 cm), pod diameter (14.6 mm), individual pod weight (11.3 g), pods plant-1 (34.5), yield ha-1 (14.6 tons) were noted with dry Moringa powder extract solution. Among different levels of Moringa leaf extract solution, the maximum flowers plant-1 (36.3), pods plant-1 (36.3), pod length (11.0 cm), pod diameter (15.8 mm), individual pod weight (12.0 g) and yield ha-1 (16.4 tons) were recorded with 6% of Moringa leaf extract solution, while increased plant height (242.0 cm), number of pods pickings (29.8), and days to first pod picking (50.0) were recorded with 8% of Moringa leaf extract solution. This work provides an analytical approach to characterize and determine solutions to a porous medium system of equations with views in applications to invasive-invaded biological dynamics. Firstly, the existence and uniqueness of solutions are proved. Afterwards, profiles of solutions are obtained making use of the self-similar structure that permits showing the existence of a diffusive front. The solutions are then studied within the Travelling Waves (TW) domain showing the existence of potential and exponential profiles in the stable connection that converges to the stationary solutions in which the invasive species predominates. The TW profiles are shown to exist based on the geometry perturbation theory together with an analytical-topological argument in the phase plane. The finding of an exponential decaying rate (related with the advection and diffusion parameters) in the invaded species TW is not trivial in the nonlinear diffusion case and reflects the existence of a TW trajectory governed by the invaded species runaway (in the direction of the advection) and the diffusion (acting in a finite speed front or support). Fibrillins are microfibril-associated macro glycoproteins found in connective tissues and structurally related to latent TGF-β-binding proteins (LTBPs). The special cellular immunity and blocking glycoprotein receptors IIb and IIIa of fibrillins are emerging topics in recent years. In this study, Nile Tilapia type IIcollagen (NTCII) was extracted and purified from the skull cartilages by a pepsin-soluble method. Amino acid analysis indicated that NTCII consisted of 315/1000 glycine residues, 72/1000 hydroxyproline residues and 108/1000 proline residues. SDS-PAGE analysis showed that NTCII was composed of three identical 130 kDa α-chains. The results of glycoprotein/carbohydrate assay indicated that the total polysaccharide content of NTCII was 5.6–19.0%. The IR spectrum of NTCII displayed five characteristic peaks of amide I, II, III, A, B. NTCII at 10–100 μg/mL concentration downregulated the content of cytokines in the presence or absence of LPS, especially the secretion of cytokines IL-6, IL-1β and TNF-α. Interestingly, NTCII promoted the secretion of Fas/Apo-1 compared to the control group and 25 μg/mL of NTCII resulted in a higher Fas/Apo-1 secretion level in CD8+ T cells. FITC-TCII fluorescence images confirmed that NTCII could bind to the membrane surface of CD8+ T cells, leading to the induction of rigidity. NTCII could bind to the membrane surface of CD8+ T cells that leads to the induction of rigidity, as evidenced by the FITC-NTCII fluorescence images. The qRT-PCR gene expression analysis of caspase-8 collected with Fas/Apo-1 was upregulated significantly in the 1 and 50 μg/mL NTCII-treated groups compared with the control group. Overall, the results conclude that the rigidity did not lead to an increase in inflammatory factors in CD8+ T cells treated with NTCII. The oral administration of NTCII 3 mg/kg dosage caused more prominent repair of damaged ankle cartilage than the 1 mg/kg dosage in Freund's adjuvant-induced model of arthritis in rats. Therefore, this study disclosed the immunological and anti-arthritic effect of fibrillar collagen, which could be a potential biomaterial for practical applications with lower toxicity. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effect of small molecules incorporated into the engineered nanofibrous scaffold to enhance the osteoblast differentiation Materials and methods: Poly-ε-caprolactone (PCL) nanofiber matrices with lithium chloride (LiCl) were fabricated using the electrospinning technique. Scaffolds were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX). Scaffolds were seeded with MC3T3-E1 cells and assessed using Western blots (β-catenin), alamarBlue assay (proliferation), qPCR (osteoblast differentiation), and mineralization (Alizarin Red staining). Results: We observed LiCl nanofiber scaffolds induced concentration-dependent cell proliferation that correlated with an increased β-catenin expression indicating sustained Wnt signaling. Next, we examined osteoblast differentiation markers such as osteocalcin (OCN) and Runt-related transcription factor 2 (Runx2) and noted increased expression in LiCl nanofiber scaffolds. We also noted increased bone morphogenetic protein (BMP-2, 4, and 7) expressions suggesting activated Wnt can promote cures to further osteogenic differentiation. Finally, Alizarin Red staining demonstrated increased mineral deposition in LiCl-incorporated nanofiber scaffolds. Conclusions: Together, these results indicated that LiCl-incorporated nanofiber scaffolds enhance osteoblast differentiation. The major difference between tissue healing and regeneration is the extent of instructional cues available to precisely direct the biological response. A classic example is reparative or osteodentin that is seen in response to physicochemical injury to the pulp-dentin complex. Dentin regeneration can direct the differentiation of dental stem cells using concerted actions of both soluble (biomolecules, agonists, and antagonists) and insoluble (matrix topology) cues. The major purpose of this study was to examine the synergistic combination of two discrete biomaterial approaches by utilizing nanofiber scaffolds in discrete configurations (aligned or random) with incorporated polymeric microspheres capable of controlled release of growth factors. Further, to ensure appropriate disinfection for clinical use, Radio-Frequency Glow Discharge (RFGD) treatments were utilized, followed by seeding with a mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) line. SEM analysis revealed electrospinning generated controlled architectural features that significantly improved MSC adhesion and proliferation on the aligned nanofiber scaffolds compared to randomly oriented scaffolds. These responses were further enhanced by RFGD pre-treatments. These enhanced cell adhesion and proliferative responses could be attributed to matrix-induced Wnt signaling that was abrogated by pre-treatments with anti-Wnt3a neutralizing antibodies. Next, we incorporated controlled-release microspheres within these electrospun scaffolds with either TGF-β1 or BMP4. We observed that these scaffolds could selectively induce dentinogenic or osteogenic markers (DSPP, Runx2, and BSP) and mineralization. This work demonstrates the utility of a novel, modular combinatorial scaffold system capable of lineage-restricted differentiation into bone or dentin. Global warming and food security have led to increasing concern about agricultural crop production efficiency, especially wheat and rice farming. The purpose of the current study is to measure wheat and rice production efficiency scores with environmental quality in China, India, and Pakistan by using a data envelopment analysis (DEA) model. The DEA results show that China and India are more efficient in wheat and rice production but it is not efficient in the environment in the study period. The results also show that Pakistan has also relatively small wheat and rice efficiency compared with China and India and increased the efficiency with the passage of time. The practical outcomes also show that Pakistan has the most efficient and effective states from the periods 2008 to 2019 in terms of wheat and rice efficiency and also a small increase in carbon emission. The proposed work describes a corner square-cut square-patch multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna with reduced mutual coupling for circular polarization (CP). A two-port MIMO-CP antenna was designed and operated at 5.6 GHz for wireless local area network (WLAN) applications. The dimensions of the MIMO-CP antenna were 22.5 × 50 mm 2 (0.43 λ 0 × 0.933 λ 0) and the FR4 substrate height was 1.6 mm. Between the two-elements, the edge-to-edge distance was 12.2 mm (0.227 λ 0 ), where λ 0 was the free space wavelength at 5.6 GHz. A slot was created in the middle of the ground in the proposed MIMO antenna to reduce mutual coupling and improve CP. The ground slot improves impedance matching and provides a better S-parameter and axial ratio (AR), according to the antenna results. According to the simulated results, the proposed antenna bandwidth of 5.23–6.42 GHz (21.4%) for S11 were < − 10 dB, isolation was −37 dB with a peak gain of 6 dB and AR ≤ 3 dB from 5.37 to 5.72 GHz (6.25%). The proposed antennas are simple to fabricate, have low profiles, are inexpensive, have good isolation, and are CP. The diversity gain (DG) and envelop correlation coefficient (ECC) results are better in the simulated frequency band. A MIMO-CP antenna geometry prototype is built and measured for comparison, yielding good results when compared to the simulated and measured results. Energy consumption is widely regarded as the primary driver of economic development and environmental degradation. The current study examines how energy use is related to technological innovation, human resources, energy pricing, economic development, and trade openness. For this context, the data set of OECD economies' indicators as mentioned above has been compiled for the period 1991–2019. Three estimators were used in this study from the family of autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL): the mean group (MG), the dynamic fixed effect (DFE), and the pooled mean group (PMG). According to empirical research, technical advances, human resources, and energy pricing all have a negative impact on OECD countries' long-run energy consumption. In the short term, however, these variables have a negligible or inverse effect on energy consumption. On the other hand, economic growth and trade openness in OECD economies all contribute positively to energy demand in the short and long run. Artemisia annua is a medicinal plant rich in terpenes and flavonoids with useful biological activities such as antioxidant, anticancer, and antimalarial activities. The transcriptional regulation of flavonoid biosynthesis in A. annua has not been well-studied. In this study, we identified a YABBY family transcription factor, AaYABBY5, as a positive regulator of anthocyanin and total flavonoid contents in A. annua. AaYABBY5 was selected based on its similar expression pattern to the phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL), chalcone synthase (CHS), chalcone isomerase (CHI), and flavonol synthase (FLS) genes. A transient dual-luciferase assay in Nicotiana bethamiana with the AaYABBY5 effector showed a significant increase in the activity of the downstream LUC gene, with reporters AaPAL, AaCHS, AaCHI, and AaUFGT. The yeast one-hybrid system further confirmed the direct activation of these promoters by AaYABBY5. Gene expression analysis of stably transformed AaYABBY5 overexpression, AaYABBY5 antisense, and control plants revealed a significant increase in the expression of AaPAL, AaCHS, AaCHI, AaFLS, AaFSII, AaLDOX, and AaUFGT in AaYABBY5 overexpression plants. Moreover, their total flavonoid content and anthocyanin content were also found to increase. AaYABBY5 antisense plants showed a significant decrease in the expression of flavonoid biosynthetic genes, as well as a decrease in anthocyanin and total flavonoid contents. In addition, phenotypic analysis revealed deep purple-pigmented stems, an increase in the leaf lamina size, and higher trichome densities in AaYABBY5 overexpression plants. Together, these data proved that AaYABBY5 is a positive regulator of flavonoid biosynthesis in A. annua. Our study provides candidate transcription factors for the improvement of flavonoid concentrations in A. annua and can be further extended to elucidate its mechanism of regulating trichome development. A metasurface is highly useful for improving the performance of patch antennas and reducing their size due to their inherent and unique electromagnetic properties. In this research work, we design a wideband bandstop reflector‐based frequency selective surface (FSS). It consists of a periodic array of circular shape metallic rings with four stubs. The FSS unit cell resonates over a frequency band from 7.2 to 9.2 GHz and has excellent stability under different polarizations and incident angles. A microstrip patch‐based isolated multiple input multiple output (MIMO) antenna is designed that operates over a frequency band of 7.9GHz to 8.7 GHz. The MIMO antenna and FSS are printed on the one face of a substrate. The radiation performance such as gain and directivity of the antenna is improved due to parasitic radiation of the surface and coherent‐ superposition of energy in the far‐field, between the antenna and FSS unit cells. Where the other parameters such are efficiency, radiation pattern and isolation are well preserved. The designed structure shows low complexity during fabrication. Different nanoparticles (NPs) including S1, S2, S3, S4, and S5 are prepared, using the co-precipitation route. The substitution of Co and Ni into the SnO2 matrix brought considerable modification in the physical attributes of all co-doped samples. The XRD data reveal that the calculated crystallite size is reduced from 10.54 to 1.65 nm with piling up oxygen vacancies (OVs) concentration when the Co content varies from 2.2 to 11 mM. The insertion of Co and Ni in SnO2 (lattice) produces ample alteration in the material traits of all samples. The dielectric properties strongly exhibit doping dependence. The dielectric measures including (dielectric loss ε′, dielectric loss factor tan δ, and AC conductivity σac) are varied with growing Co content and achieved the utmost values for S4 NPs. The tanδ shows the dispersive nature, and relaxation peaks are identified, in which intensities are enhanced with growing Co content. The dielectric behavior and σac variations show that the dispersion is induced by polarization at the interfaces due to OVs and hopping processes. All these materials (samples) are interesting for device applications due to their large dielectric constant. The appearance of hysteresis loops show ferromagnetic nature with enhancement in saturation magnetization arises from a substantial measure of induced OVs (defects) by co-doping in the system (samples). The current work shows the doping-induced variations in dielectric and magnetic attributes. The severity of tissue injury in burn wounds from associated inflammatory and immune sequelae presents a significant clinical management challenge. Among various biophysical wound management approaches, low dose biophotonics treatments, termed Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy, has gained recent attention. One of the PBM molecular mechanisms of PBM treatments involves photoactivation of latent TGF-β1 that is capable of promoting tissue healing and regeneration. This work examined the efficacy of PBM treatments in a full-thickness burn wound healing in C57BL/6 mice. We first optimized the PBM protocol by monitoring tissue surface temperature and histology. We noted this dynamic irradiance surface temperature-monitored PBM protocol improved burn wound healing in mice with elevated TGF-β signaling (phospho-Smad2) and reduced inflammation-associated gene expression. Next, we investigated the roles of individual cell types involved in burn wound healing following PBM treatments and noted discrete effects on epithelieum, fibroblasts, and macrophage functions. These responses appear to be mediated via both TGF-β dependent and independent signaling pathways. Finally, to investigate specific contributions of TGF-β1 signaling in these PBM-burn wound healing, we utilized a chimeric TGF-β1/β3 knock-in (TGF-β1Lβ3/Lβ3) mice. PBM treatments failed to activate the chimeric TGF-β1Lβ3/Lβ3 complex and failed to improve burn wound healing in these mice. These results suggest activation of endogenous latent TGF-β1 following PBM treatments plays a key role in burn wound healing. In this research work, a wideband metamaterial‐inspired circularly polarized antenna array is designed. The designed antenna array has a low radar cross‐section (RCS) but high gain. The basic element of the planar array is analyzed as a dual‐band electromagnetic absorber. Under normal incidence, the designed basic element has two absorbing peaks at 3.6 and 11.2 GHz. Further, four elements of the 4 × 4 elements array are connected to the feeding network through metallic vias. The feeding network is designed on the bottom layer. The circular polarization is archived by feeding the cross shape metallic resonator at two feed points, in a manner that there is a 90° time phase difference between the fields of two. It is shown that a good axial ratio is obtained over a wideband. This design method simultaneously validates high gain antenna performance and also meets the conditions of low‐RCS. We present results of Multifractal Detrended Fluctuation Analysis (MF-DFA) of soil radon (222Rn) and thoron (220Rn) time series to examine the scaling and multifractal features. Data consists of 15,692 measurements taken each over forty-minute interval. RTM 1688–2, 222Rn/220Rn electronic device has been used for measurement purposes. Seasonal periodicities have been removed from the data and MF-DFA was employed on de-seasonalized data. Original 222Rn and 220Rn time series have been converted into surrogated and shuffled time series. MF-DFA has also been applied to the surrogated and shuffled series to examine the multifractality nature. Results of the study show that Orig 222 Rn , Surr 222 Rn and Orig 220 Rn , Surr 220 Rn time series are long-range positively correlated and an increase or decrease in either of radionuclide concentrations will be followed by another increase or decrease of concentrations in future measurements. The Shuff 220 Rn time series has an independent or short-range dependent structure called white noise and the shuffled time series exhibit a very weak multifractality. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper presents a wideband metasurface, based on polarization conversion operation and its application for the radar cross-section (RCS) reduction of an isolated MIMO antenna. The wideband metasurface is capable of converting linear polarization to orthogonal and circular polarizations. Linear polarization conversion is achieved over a wideband frequency range of 7.6–9.0 GHz. Whereas, linear-to-circular polarization is achieved in two different bands, from 7.10 to 7.40 GHz and 9.20 to 9.45 GHz. The RCS reduction is accomplished by destructive interference of the scattered waves, through the two sides of the designed metasurface. RCS reduction is achieved from 7.6 GHz to 8.6 GHz, with a maximum reduction of −32 dB at 7.6 GHz. To validate the RCS reduction, the polarization conversion metasurface is integrated with the isolated MIMO antenna working from 8.0–8.6 GHz, with high isolation of −25 dB. The radiation characteristics of the MIMO antenna are well preserved. The proposed integrated metasurface MIMO antenna is experimentally validated to verify the simulated results. Artemisinin is an effective antimalarial sesquiterpene lactone synthesized in Artemisia annua. Various transcription factors have been previously reported that can influence the biosynthesis of artemisinin; however, the effect of YABBY family transcription factors on artemisinin biosynthesis was unknown. In the present study, we cloned and characterized AaYABBY5: a homolog of MsYABBY5 in Mentha spicata which is involved in modulating the monoterpenes, as a positive regulator of artemisinin biosynthesis in A. annua. AaYABBY5 was found localized to the nucleus, and its expression was found to be induced by exogenous methyl jasmonic acid (MeJA) treatment. In the dual-luciferase reporter assay, it was found that AaYABBY5 significantly increased the activities of promoters of amorpha-4,11-diene synthase (ADS), cytochrome P450 monooxygenase (CYP71AV1), double-bond reductase 2 (DBR2), and aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 (ALDH1) genes. Yeast one hybrid assay showed that AaYABBY5 directly bonds to the promoters of CYP71AV1 and DBR2 genes. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) of AaYABBY5 overexpression and AaYABBY5 antisense plants revealed a significant increase in the expression of ADS , CYP71AV1 , DBR2 , and ALDH1 in AaYABBY5 overexpression plants and a significant decrease in the expression of these genes in AaYABBY5 antisense A. annua , respectively. Furthermore, the results of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) showed that the artemisinin and its precursor dihydroartemisinic acid were significantly increased in the AaYABBY5 overexpression plants while AaYABBY5 downregulation resulted in a significant decrease in the concentration of artemisinin. In this article, a compact design of the monopole antenna is proposed for the super‐wideband application (SWB). The extremely wide frequency bandwidth is achieved by deploying a topology based on trapezoid shape radiator, triangular tapered feed line, and semicircular ground. The antenna shows resonance from 1.42 GHz to more than 90 GHz with a bandwidth ratio of 63.30:1, VSWR ≤2 and with S11 ≤ −10 dB. The electrical dimension of the monopole antenna is 0.16λc × 0.27λc where the wavelength λc is with respect to the lowest cut‐off frequency. The designed monopole antenna is fabricated on the F4B substrate. The prototype is experimentally validated for ultrawideband and SWB application. The experimental and simulated results are in good agreement and the designed antenna shows better performance of a wideband operation, compact electrical dimension, and high bandwidth dimension ratio over existing reported structures. The proposed antenna can be used for multiple bands such are ISM, Wi‐Fi, WLAN, WiMAX, C, S, X, K, and Ku bands. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
