This study aims to conduct a systematic review of the literature on dark tourism to summarize the multiple studies under one paper and identify the latest trends that have influenced dark tourism. The paper uses various techniques of bibliometrics through the open-source R-based bibliometric tool and VOS viewer 1.6.18, along with the TCCM framework, to develop a more robust and novel approach to conducting the review. The results demonstrate the latest trends and continuous growth in dark tourism, including the most influential journals, authors, affiliations, countries, and most co-cited authors, prominent themes in this field, trending topics, publication trends, source growth of journals, theories, variables, methodology, and context. TCCM was used to understand the theories, contexts, characteristics, and methodologies studied till the present year, which helps to develop a future research agenda. The current study also identified a few areas that are still in the nascent stage and require attention in future research, such as investigating the multidisciplinary character of dark tourism, the commonalities and dissimilarities between various kinds of dark tourist destinations, and analyzing the bibliographic profiles of websites connected to genocide tourism, catastrophe tourism, and war-related tourism. This study intended to construct an integrated model to examine the linkages between drivers of financial inclusion and economic inequality and empowerment to fill a gap in the existing research and contribute to the development of financial inclusion in Jammu and Kashmir. The current research relied on primary data collected from top tribal districts of the Jammu and Kashmir (India) regions through a questionnaire. PLS-SEM is applied for hypotheses testing.Results demonstrated that financial inclusion had a significant impact on economic empowerment and economic inequality.The findings of this study have immediate implications for policymakers, banks, and other service providers, and they also have a significant impact on the researchers working in the field of financial inclusion. Purpose: The present study tries to develop a model that assesses the factors that determine support for tourism development by residents of the Kashmir region. Design/methodology/approach: Primary data have been collected (n = 650) from the residents of the top five tourist destinations through a pre-tested questionnaire by a multistage convenient sampling method. A model has been drafted and tested through the technique of structural equation modeling by applying the social exchange theory as a theoretical framework. Findings: The results revealed that residents who perceived more benefits were more expected to support tourism development, and residents who perceive more costs were less expected to support tourism development, thus supporting the social exchange theory. Originality/value: The results of this study are extremely useful for the local government and tourism institutions in the future planning of tourism development and also fill the vast gap in the tourism literature with a theoretical base. The purpose of this article is to explore the nexus between the form and function of government and economic growth in the fragile states of India. To study the dynamics of the directional casual relationship between the government forms and functions and economic growth in Jammu and Kashmir, this study tries to apply the Granger causality test followed by LS multivariate regression analysis on the time series data. The study found that the government functions like resource allocation for asset creation, revenue‐generating capacity, and promoting infrastructure are having a positive and significant impact on economic growth, while law and order are having a significantly negative impact on economic growth in the state. On the other hand, the different government forms, the majoritarian government in the state is suitable for consistent economic growth than coalition and governor's rule. The results found are of amicable use in setting up the smooth growth trajectory of any region through arranging and rearranging political institutions from time to time. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study investigates the attitudes oflocal residents' of the Kashmir region towards tourism development according to their demographic characteristics. A broader set of demographic variables has been used througha well‐structured questionnaire. The questionnaire received 650 valid responses from the households through a convenient sampling method. The robust analysis of responses by the respondents reveals that resident's attitudes could be beneficial for the development of tourismin any tourism potential region. Discussion: The study put forward some interesting results which are pivotal for the development of tourism in a region. The study shows that demographic characteristics of residents affectsignificantly on their perceptions regarding the economic, social and environmental effects of tourism in the Kashmir region. Kashmir, a politically sensitive region of the newly created union territory of India, is an attractive destination for tourists worldwide and is branded as "Heaven on Earth." The existing research on tourism in Kashmir is centred on tourists and their well-being. Studies on the local communities are almost absent for the region even though it is an indispensable part of sustainable tourism. The present work is an attempt to analyse the factors that determine support for tourism by local residents in the Kashmir region. The primary data has been collected through questionnaire method from local residents of Pahalgam and Gulmarg, two top tourist destinations in the Kashmir region. PLS-SEM is applied for data analysis. Results revealed that economic benefits, economic costs, social costs, environmental benefits, political trust, and state of local economy had effects on the support for tourism development. Purpose: The study aims to explore the extent to which human resources development quantifies the economic growth of BRICS countries under the globalization era by controlling country differences. Design/methodology/approach: The study used the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) and Scheffe pairwise comparison tests to quantify the impact of the variables and the level of difference among the BRICS countries onto human Resources development. Findings: The study observes that the impact of human resources development on economic growth of BRICS counties is significant but limited to few countries. The study reveals that countries such as India and South Africa are unable to utilize their human resources efficiently to promote economic growth, as compared with Russia, China and Brazil. The study further argues that there is urgent need of amalgam of various economic development theories keeping in mind the regional needs to extract the positive impact from human resource on economic development. Research limitations/implications: The single limitation of this research is that it was not possible to compare the results with other developing countries to unleash the capabilities of human resources development with regard to economic growth at the universal level. Originality/value: To the best of the authors' knowledge, this paper is the first of its kind to analyze human resources development at a much deeper level. The paper has chosen variables which are important from the policy perspective of government rather than the working perspective, which is a great contribution.
