This article discusses the demarcation of contemporary ecolinguistics. It takes a starting point in different conceptualisations of the field, including (1) the claim that ecolinguistics is an umbrella term for work that attends to interconnections and dynamics in multiple contexts, (2) the claim that ecolinguistics comprises two traditions, a Haugenian tradition and a Hallidayan tradition, and (3) the claim that ecolinguistics consists of four strands that orient to the symbolic, sociocultural, natural, and cognitive ecology of language, respectively. Using bibliometric methods, the article concludes that there is currently no unity in ecolinguistics that warrants the first claim. Further, it concludes that there is no bibliometric or empirical evidence for the second claim, as there is virtually no connection between the two traditions, and hence they are two separate research areas, rather than two traditions within one field. Finally, it is shown that while there do indeed exist four ecological frameworks in linguistics, they are not subfields within ecolinguistics. It is concluded that contemporary ecolinguistics is defined by its preoccupation with natural ecologies. Based on this conclusion, it is suggested that the ecolinguistic preoccupation with natural ecologies presupposes treating language as integral to living and the ecology. Metaphors for empathy and welcoming places abound. Oft used descriptors for grief care include a safe place, a nurturing environment, compassionate care, and meeting the person where they are. Their commonness, while a possible strength, can be a liability if meanings are presumed. Good intentions for words used do not guarantee shared meanings. For some, stories containing metaphors have greater impact than professional jargon or overused euphemisms. Further, when "workers" engage "clients" in finding or creating personal metaphors, the words or phrases can take on more depth of meaning. Readers will be encouraged to consider metaphors for caring persons and places. Drawing on a children's book about difference between anybodies and whobodies, readers will be exposed to variations of characteristics of whobodies and whobody places. A whimsical metaphor can engage all involved in caring conversations. Think of this article as a case study toward enrichment of relationships and the milieu in which caregiving occurs. Storytelling is a critical skill for interventionists interested in providing services to children through bibliotherapy. Developmental age and the actual abilities of children to process different challenges and coping strategies should also be considered as the therapist plans the intervention. Specific techniques in storytelling and engagement are reviewed. Heath and Heath (2008) offer the constructs of simplicity, unexpectedness, concreteness, credibility and emotion as an overview for storytelling approaches. A brief review of the bibliotherapy process is provided. Successful practice examples based in art, creative writing, technology, active games, play and socialization are analyzed. Paired books and activities with goal, theme and age group descriptors are summarized for the practitioner. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] more...

Launched in 1975, Assessment & Evaluation in Higher Education (AEHE) is a prominent international journal that focuses on assessment and evaluation within higher education. This bibliometric analysis of AEHE aims to gain insights into its evolution since its expansion in 2012 and identify its critical contributions to higher education. Bibliographic data associated with a corpus of 1,047 documents published in AEHE from 2012 through 2023 were initially exported from Scopus. Using the specific software, VOSviewer, performance analysis and science mapping were conducted to obtain the following findings: (i) The domination of Australia and the UK as contributors to this journal suggests that culture background significantly affects publication patterns. (ii) Prof. David Boud, along with his cooperative network, emerges as the most prolific author with a remarkably scholarly impact on AEHE. (iii) Prominent themes include concerns about feedback and the practice of assessment. (iv) References responding to the critique mounted for the traditional understanding of feedback serve as essential background materials for readers seeking a better understanding of published works. (v) From 2017 to 2018, there was a completion of conceptualisation regarding feedback as learner-centred processes; starting from 2021 onwards, research frontiers have shifted towards "evaluative judgement", "feedback literacy", and "cheating". Education is a significant contributor to human capital. Financial assistance for education through institutional loan serves as the key element for human development, and loan repayment without default makes the education loan product self-sustainable. The systematic review aims to study the various articles related to education loan repayment (ELR) using bibliometric analysis approach and R studio software with the help of biblioshiny package. The study analyses 812 articles published in the Scopus database between 1990 and 2022. The review identifies most relevant authors, most cited articles, publication trends, keywords and themes, and trending topics. The review finds that research in the domain of ELR is at an increasing trend with a growth rate of 7.2% and, in the year 2022, the highest number of scientific publications, that is, 72 articles, was published. The review exhibits that existing research in the field has mainly focused on themes such as repayment burden, financial literacy, financial education, student debt, income, mental health, and loan defaults. The study concludes that highly cited work in educational loan repayment is in the field of medicine, highlighting salary as the key factor for educational loan repayment, and loan repayment is incentivized by the federal government to serve the designated underserved areas through service option loan repayment programs. Methods on designing and marketing new approaches to loan repayment can be researched in future with relation to human resource recruitment and retention by the employers. Affirmative action (AA) has long been viewed negatively in contemporary society. The political philosophies of AA are still widely misunderstood and fiercely debated around the world today. The argument against AA is that faculty hired through AA are less efficient than those hired through open/general category. This research attempts to empirically assess if professors from the Other Backward Class (OBC), Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories in India's three Central Universities are equally productive and effective as their General category counterparts. The effectiveness of the four teaching categories (General/OBC/SC/ST) was evaluated using the CCR model of Data Envelopment Analysis, while the productivity of teachers was estimated using bibliometric analysis. The data analysis demonstrates that AA positively impacts the research productivity of marginalized groups, except ST, which has very low representation in Pure and Applied Sciences, with OBC and SC performing on par with their General counterpart when placed in higher productivity subjects. Purpose: The research aims to analyze the situation of women in maritime industry in Poland over the years, focusing on employment trends and the participation of women in maritime-related academic programs. Additionally, the research will explore the challenges women face and propose potential solutions to overcome these barriers to improve gender equality. Design/methodology/approach: To achieve the study's objectives, bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review were conducted to examine previous research on gender inequality in the maritime industry. Additionally, a statistical analysis was performed to identify the share of women in the maritime industry and in maritime-related academic programs in Poland. Findings: The study reveals an increasing trend in the participation of women in Poland's maritime industry, both in education and employment. The paper provides insights into the challenges and strategies for achieving gender equality in the maritime industry. The obstacles women face in the male dominated industry should be addressed not only at the governmental level but also at the organizational level, with required engagement of both authorities and business leaders. Research limitations/implications: The conducted analysis is restricted only to female employment in one country within a specified industry. A comparative study of women’s position in male-dominated industry across different European countries would allow for an expanded context of gender inequality, especially its roots, efforts to combat gender stereotypes, and changes in corporate culture. Practical implications: Practical steps include implementing comprehensive gender equity policies, enhancing educational programs to include gender sensitivity, and creating mentoring and networking opportunities for women. By adopting best practices from other countries and focusing on both governmental and organizational levels, a more inclusive and equitable workplace can be created. Originality/value: This paper offers new insights into the trends and challenges faced by women in this male-dominated sector. Additionally, this study contributes to the broader literature on achieving gender equality and diversity in workplaces by compiling practical initiatives undertaken not only in the maritime industry but also in other male-dominated industries. Purpose: Given the overlapping themes and periods in specific subjects within Islamic economics and finance bibliometric research, which may yield similar findings in bibliometric studies, it is essential to document the growth of Islamic economic and financial research using bibliometric methodologies. This study aims to understand better the critical bibliometric review trends and scientific advancements in Islamic economics and finance. Design/methodology/approach: This study uses bibliometric analysis, collecting 46 Islamic economics bibliometric papers from the Web of Science Core Collection from 1975 to 2022. The authors generated top scientific scholars, keyword analysis, citation analysis, content analysis and conclusions for journal development using R Biblioshiny, VOSviewer, ATLAS.ti and Excel. Findings: This study has established a comprehensive bibliometric framework for Islamic economics and finance bibliometric papers, encompassing all critical areas within the discipline and identifying any remaining research gaps. The major significant areas revealed were Islamic social finance and microfinance concerns, which are closely pertinent to the issues of ethics, corporate social responsibility and sustainability, respectively. The authors also identified opportunities for future bibliometric analyses in Islamic economics and finance, which include using more comprehensive databases, refining or broadening search strategies, using advanced techniques and units of analysis and suggesting themes for further exploration. Research limitations/implications: The study relies merely on the Web of Science Core Collection database, which provides the most in-depth citations by source for the world's scientific and scholarly research. Future research may consider expanding its scope to include other databases for a broader range of sources. Furthermore, due to the rise of bibliometric studies in Islamic economics and finance, this study also comments on the saturation of bibliometric studies conducted in several similar areas. While researchers bring their unique analytical perspectives to bibliometrics, this study provides a comprehensive view of existing research in Islamic economics and finance, highlighting well-explored topics and those that remain less studied. Thus, this could assist researchers in determining their future research priorities. Practical implications: Policymakers in Islamic financial and economic institutions, including banking institutions, social, financial institutions and halal institutions, should be impacted by this research when making policies or conducting research. The viability of the current Islamic economic and financial ecosystem will be indirectly maintained and managed by these implications. Social implications: This comprehensive meta-analysis in Islamic economics and finance is expected to impact the development and sustainability of the Islamic economic and financial ecosystem, promoting societal welfare through applying Islamic economics and finance. Originality/value: This pioneering bibliometric analysis of Islamic economics and finance papers aims to offer insights and projections for future research in the field. This research contributes to the literature by examining various aspects, including evaluating literature on trending topics, analyzing papers related to research areas and conducting content analysis of existing bibliometric studies in Islamic economics and finance. Urolithiasis is the most prevalent benign urological condition, imposing a significant burden on morbidity, disability, and healthcare costs globally. Despite its impact, comprehensive bibliometric analyses of randomized clinical trials (RCTs) related to urolithiasis, which are essential for advancing evidence-based medical practices, are lacking. This study aimed to examine the global research landscape and trends in RCTs focused on urolithiasis. This study used bibliometric techniques to analyze a selection of RCTs on urolithiasis published between 1979 and 2023. VOSviewer software version 1.6.20 was used to visualize international collaborations and perform a keyword analysis of the included articles. The main objective was to identify key research areas and focal points within the field of urolithiasis RCTs. Between 1979 and 2023, a comprehensive search identified 16,716 research articles on urolithiasis. A total of 693 relevant RCTs were found in the Scopus database. The number of publications has significantly increased over time, indicating a strong positive correlation (R² = 0.9303; P < 0.001). China was the top contributor, with 166 publications (23.95%), followed by the United States, with 130 publications (18.76%). Turkey and Iran contributed 44 (6.35%) and 62 (8.95%) publications, respectively. Citation analysis revealed an average of 28.13 citations per article, an h-index of 70, and a total of 19,493 citations. The co-occurrence analysis highlighted current research trends and key topics in urolithiasis RCTs, including 'comparative effectiveness of surgical and laser techniques and patient outcomes', 'medical expulsive therapy (MET) for ureteral calculi and clinical outcomes', 'systematic reviews and meta-analyses of RCTs investigating urolithiasis', and 'dietary interventions and correlations between stone composition and the risk of recurrence.' The bibliometric analysis provides an overview of research on urolithiasis RCTs. It examines global research trends and identifies new developments in the field. Our review identified key research themes, including systematic reviews and meta-analyses, dietary interventions, medical therapy for the expulsion of ureteral stones, and comparisons of surgical techniques—areas that will remain focal points in future research. This bibliometric analysis is an invaluable resource for researchers, clinicians, and policymakers, providing a complete overview of past and present research trends. Informed decision making can be promoted and guided in future research, ultimately improving management and understanding. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] more...

Design/methodology/approach: This study examines bibliometric-content analysis combined with a systematic literature review of articles on board committees to document the summary of the field. The authors used co-citation, co-occurrence and cluster analysis under bibliometric-content analysis to present the field summary. Findings: Board committee composition, such as their gender, independence and expertise, as well as factors affecting corporate governance, such as reporting quality, earnings management and board monitoring, all have a significant impact on board committee literature. The field is getting growing attention from authors, journals and countries. Nevertheless, there is a need for further exploration in areas like expertise, member age and tenure, the economic crisis and the nomination and remuneration committee, which have not yet received sufficient attention. Originality/value: This paper has both theoretical and practical contributions. From a theoretical perspective, this study substantiates the prevalence of agency theory within board committee literature, reinforcing the foundational role of agency theory in shaping discussions about board committees. On practical ground, the comprehensive overview of board committee literature offers scholars a road map for navigating this field and directing their future research journey. The identification of research gaps in certain areas serves as a catalyst for scholars to explore untapped dimensions, enabling them to strengthen the essence of the committees' performance. Purpose: This study aims to provide insights into different aspects of the extant literature on the effects of dividend announcements. Along with other outputs of a bibliometric study, this study provides deeper insights into the concentration of the extant literature and suggest future research agendas. Design/methodology/approach: This study uses the bibliometric, network and content analysis of the dividend announcement literature indexed in Scopus. This study presents the temporal analysis, the network of authors, countries, author citations and the co-occurrence of author keywords. This study provides the concentration of the extant literature in three clusters and unearth some key future research areas. This study uses the latent Dirichlet allocation method for robustness. Findings: A total of 54 documents examining the US sample have received 1,804 citations. Interestingly, the first article on emerging markets was published in 2002, when at least 34 articles on developed markets had already been published from 1982 to 2001. The content analysis of top-cited literature unveils diverse insights into dividend announcements' effects on financial markets. Contagion effects negatively impact non-announcing banks, particularly larger ones. Dividend maintenance affects stock market momentum, influencing loser returns. While current dividend/earnings news may not predict future company performance, information content dominates bond market reactions to post-dividend announcements. Concomitantly, while financially constrained firms exhibit short-term gains but worse long-term performance following dividend increases, larger stock dividends send stronger market signals in China. Originality/value: This study significantly contributes to the bibliometric and content analysis literature by analyzing the sample documents based on the sample examined. To the best of the authors' knowledge, no previous bibliometric study in this domain has been conducted to explore the markets (developed and emerging) to which the samples examined belong and the quality of publications from developed and emerging markets. Cultivated land is the most important natural resource for human survival and development. The quality of cultivated land is closely related to grain output, and whether it can guarantee stable food supply is directly related to national food security. Cultivated land quality evaluation is an effective tool for understanding and mastering cultivated land quality. However, few studies have applied bibliometrics to quantitatively and systematically analyze this field. We used VOSviewer 1.6.19 and CiteSpace 6.3.1 software to visually analyze and construct 2478 documents related to cultivated land quality evaluation retrieved from the Web of Science core collection database from 2000 to 2023. Results show that cultivated land quality evaluation is still a popular research field. The collaboration ability among authors is weak and the distribution of institutions and countries publishing in this field is very uneven. In addition, the relevant research has been published in a variety of journals such as agriculture, environment, ecology, and computer technology. The research content is becoming more and more interdisciplinary. Keywords such as "Soil quality", "Swat", "Remote sensing", "Heavy metals" and "Ecosystem services" have become hot topics in this field. In the future, it is necessary to further deepen the connotation of cultivated land quality, develop a long time series dynamic model of cultivated land quality evaluation and monitoring, and enhance the transformation of research results into practical applications. Sexual violence is one of the acts of direct violence, the act involves other people in the desired sexual activity. Sexual violence that occurs in the community is a particular concern, especially for women. The general public often blames victims who dress openly, this is usually said to be victim blaming or victim blaming, which means that victims of crime are held accountable for what happened to them. The psychological impact experienced by the victims is mostly mental trauma, fear, shame, anxiety, and even suicide attempts. This form of literature research aims to find out the application of therapeutic communication in an effort to recover victims of sexual violence against women and children. In this study, the researcher uses qualitative methods, data collection with interview methods and descriptive observations strengthened by using literature studies with literature searches using therapeutic communication keywords in an effort to recover victims of female sexual violence. Based on the cases faced by providing assistance and counseling to victims, counselors must master the stages in the therapy process, this is aimed at the smooth healing process for victims who experience sexual violence. The stages that must be mastered are; pre-interaction stage; orientation stage; stages of work; and termination stage. Of course, the Friendly People in this case are considered to be quite competent in dealing with victims of sexual violence. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] more...

Social learning is the main policy-design mechanism that involves interactions between agents. This study provides an overview of the research on policy design using social learning. Descriptive and co-citation analyses were used to identify emerging research lines and thematic similarities between scientific publications. The database used for the bibliometric analysis contained 271 articles published between 1979 and 2022 in 152 journals indexed by the SSCI. We propose a study based on the origins and the future research agenda of social learning for policy design. The results reveal that "environment", "governance", and "social" represent the knowledge base. These topics have evolved over time and have become established as a consolidated intellectual structure. In addition, a new topic called "media and news" has emerged, focusing on the challenges of spreading fake news and learning manipulation in a post-truth world. The cluster "Media and news" is gaining significance due to its impact on the dissemination of information and the shaping of opinions in contemporary society. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] more...

Regression in the service of the ego is a unique phenomenon that often occurs within therapeutic settings. In the current study1, I show how it emerges within child therapy and how bibliotherapy manages to give it presence and thus to process it. The methodology that guided this study was based on a critical reading of psychoanalysis and bibliotherapy theories. In addition, the methodology is based on a therapeutic vignette aimed at demonstrating the qualities of bibliotherapy with children. I claim that bibliotherapy, based as it is primarily on the use of reading and writing processes, offers additional ways of processing and thinking about this phenomenon. The study provides an innovative contribution that is related to the interdisciplinary approach to therapy. There are important links between the two major disciplines examined in this study, psychoanalysis and bibliotherapy. Their intertwining generates interrelations and mutual inspiration. Moreover, this study adds to the theoretical and practical foundation of bibliotherapy and further establishes the understanding regarding the power of reading and writing processes to "relate the soul" within the analytical process. Background: Radiation therapy has become an important treatment for many malignant tumours after surgery and for palliative tumour care. Although modern radiotherapy technology is constantly improving, radiation damage to normal tissues is often difficult to avoid, and radiation-induced skin injury (RSI) is a common complication, manifested as skin erythema, peeling, ulceration, and even bone and deep organ damage, seriously affect the quality of life for patients. Basic research and clinical trials related to RSI have achieved certain results, while no researchers have conducted comprehensive bibliometric studies. Objective: A comprehensive bibliometric analysis of publications on RSI published between 2004 and 2023 was conducted to identify current hotspots and future directions in this area of study. Methods: RSI-related publications published between January 1, 2004, and December 31, 2023, were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database for analysis using VOSviewer and CiteSpace analytics. Results: A total of 1009 publications on RSI from 2004 to 2023 were included in the WoSCC database. The United States had the highest productivity with 299 papers, accounting for 29.63% of the total production, followed by China with 193 papers (19.13%) and Japan with 111 papers (11.00%). In terms of research institutions and journals, the University of Toronto and Journal of Supportive Care in Cancer published the highest number of papers. Professor Edward Chow published the most articles, while Professor Shuyu Zhang was the most cited. The top ten most-cited papers focused on the pathogenesis, prevention, and management of RSI. Keyword co-occurrence analysis and the top 25 keywords with the strongest citation bursts suggest that current research focuses on the pathogenesis, prevention, and treatment management of RSI. Conclusion: This study conducted a systematic bibliometric analysis of RSI publications from 2004 to 2023; identified the trends in RSI publications, major research countries, major research institutions, major research journals, major research authors, and major research keywords; and revealed the future development direction and research hotspots of this field. This study provides a valuable reference for future RSI research. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] more...

The rapid expansion of information technology and the intensification of population aging are two prominent features of contemporary societal development. Investigating older adults' acceptance and use of technology is key to facilitating their integration into an information-driven society. Given this context, the technology acceptance of older adults has emerged as a prioritized research topic, attracting widespread attention in the academic community. However, existing research remains fragmented and lacks a systematic framework. To address this gap, we employed bibliometric methods, utilizing the Web of Science Core Collection to conduct a comprehensive review of literature on older adults' technology acceptance from 2013 to 2023. Utilizing VOSviewer and CiteSpace for data assessment and visualization, we created knowledge mappings of research on older adults' technology acceptance. Our study employed multidimensional methods such as co-occurrence analysis, clustering, and burst analysis to: (1) reveal research dynamics, key journals, and domains in this field; (2) identify leading countries, their collaborative networks, and core research institutions and authors; (3) recognize the foundational knowledge system centered on theoretical model deepening, emerging technology applications, and research methods and evaluation, uncovering seminal literature and observing a shift from early theoretical and influential factor analyses to empirical studies focusing on individual factors and emerging technologies; (4) moreover, current research hotspots are primarily in the areas of factors influencing technology adoption, human-robot interaction experiences, mobile health management, and aging-in-place technology, highlighting the evolutionary context and quality distribution of research themes. Finally, we recommend that future research should deeply explore improvements in theoretical models, long-term usage, and user experience evaluation. Overall, this study presents a clear framework of existing research in the field of older adults' technology acceptance, providing an important reference for future theoretical exploration and innovative applications. This article explores how practitioners of creative bibliotherapy utilise diverse approaches and understand the therapeutic possibilities of their practice. Creative bibliotherapy involves the therapeutic use of literature by a non-clinical facilitator working with groups or individuals. It is distinct from clinical bibliotherapy as a therapeutic approach, which generally works with non-fiction self-help texts in clinical contexts. While clinical bibliotherapy has been well-studied, there is a paucity of research on creative bibliotherapy, which only gained momentum in Australia in the 2010s. Based on in-depth qualitative interviews with bibliotherapists in Australia we explore differences in the practitioners' methods, approaches and backgrounds as well as the ideas of literature and wellbeing underpinning the practice. An inductive thematic analysis identified three key areas of difference: the therapeutic intentions of the practitioners, the diversity of the people they work with and their understanding of the role of literature in the bibliotherapeutic process. This paper addresses the role of personal writing in processes involving writing, processing loss and grief, and identity consolidation, employed in shaping the character of Emily Starr in the book "Emily of New Moon" by Lucy Maud Montgomery, well known for her series "Anne of Green Gables" and for the character of Anne Shirley. Emily, who is dealing with orphanhood following the childhood loss of both parents in a short span of time, uses writing to vent her feelings when in distress and as a way of maintaining contact with her father who died, by writing to him. Later on, the possibility of renewing her emotional connection with her mother through an encounter with the room where she grew up and by writing to her, removes Emily from her state of existential loneliness and brings her closer to her true self, manifested in the creative and spontaneous elements within her. EATING disorders ,ANOREXIA nervosa ,ATTITUDES toward illness ,BIBLIOTHERAPY ,OPEN-ended questions - Abstract
Background: Narratives (including memoirs and novels) about eating disorders (EDs) are typically published with the intention to benefit readers, but survey evidence suggests that reading such narratives with an active ED may more often be harmful than helpful. To reduce the probability of inadvertent harm and learn more about how narrative reading and EDs interact, a pre-publication study was designed to determine whether or not a recovery memoir should be published. Methods: 64 participants with a self-reported ED read either the experimental text (The Hungry Anorexic [HA]) or a control text (Ten Zen Questions [TZ]) over a roughly two-week period. All participants completed the Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire (EDE-Q) and the Anorexia Nervosa Stages of Change Questionnaire (ANSOCQ) one week before and two weeks after reading, and answered three recurring open-ended questions at regular timepoints during and after the reading. Computational analysis of the free-text responses assessed text/response similarity and response characteristics on emotional, sensory, and action-effector dimensions. Both rating-scale and free-text data were analysed using mixed ANOVAs to test for effects of time and condition, and the university ethics board was notified in advance of the quantitative threshold for harmful effects that would prohibit the ED memoir from being published. Results: On the two quantitative measures, there was an effect of time but not of condition: Significant improvement was found in both groups on the EDE-Q (with a medium-to-large effect size) and the ANSOCQ (with a very large effect size). In an ANCOVA analysis, no significant mediating effects were found for age, education, duration of professional support for the ED, or pre/post-reading BMI change. For the free-text responses, linguistic similarity measures indicated that HA responses most closely matched the text of HA, with the same being true for TZ. In a word-norm analysis, text condition significantly affected six emotional, sensory, and action-effector variables (interoception, olfaction, gustatory, mouth, torso, and hand/arm), mean scores for all of which were higher in HA responses than TZ responses. Close reading of readers' responses explored two potential mechanisms for the positive effects of time but not condition: engagement with the during-reading prompts as part of the experimental setup and engagement with the texts' dialogical form. Conclusions: The ED memoir was found not to yield measurably harmful effects for readers with an ED, and will therefore be published. The finding that significant improvement on both quantitative measures was observed irrespective of text condition suggests that positive effects may be attributable to linguistic characteristics shared by the two texts or to elements of the reading and/or reflective processes scaffolded by both. The quantitative results and the free-text testimony have implications for our understanding of bibliotherapy, "triggering", and the practicalities of responsible publishing. Plain English summary: This paper reports on an experiment designed to decide whether a memoir about recovery from an eating disorder (ED) should be published. Previous research suggested that reading books about EDs may have strongly negative effects, especially for individuals with an ED. In this experiment, 64 participants were randomly assigned to read either the memoir under investigation, The Hungry Anorexic (HA), or a book unrelated to EDs, Ten Zen Questions (TZ). Participants completed two questionnaires before and after reading the book over roughly two weeks: the Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire (EDE-Q), a common measure of eating disorder severity, and the Anorexia Nervosa Stages of Change Questionnaire (ANSOCQ), used to assess attitudes to illness and recovery. Participants also answered three recurring open-ended questions at timepoints during and after their reading. The book would not be published if EDE-Q scores of participants in the HA group worsened significantly, and worsened more than those of participants in the TZ group. Scores on both measures improved significantly between pre- and post-reading for both groups, so the memoir will be published. The positive effects may be due to a feature shared by the two books or a feature of the reading process independent of the books themselves. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] more...

Based on certain exclusion criteria, analyses were conducted on a total of 259 articles. The data were then subjected to descriptive analyses and bibliometric analyses. Findings: The review found that the teacher autonomy knowledge base has grown dramatically since 2004. In the co-citation analysis, it was determined that four clusters focused on the themes of professionalism and professional development, leadership and self-efficacy, autonomy in language teaching and learning and self-determination theory. According to the co-word analysis in this review, the most co-occurring keywords were revealed to be "teacher autonomy," "autonomy," "teachers," "teacher professionalism" and "professional development." Originality/value: Despite increasing numbers of systematic reviews focusing on educational administration and leadership, this paper represents the first bibliometric review conducted to reveal the development of research on teacher autonomy using both the WoS and Scopus databases. Teacher autonomy can be regarded as an emerging field of study backed up by a theoretical background. Although there are some distinct prominent scholars in the research area, autonomy research still needs more scholars to specialize in the field. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] more...

Schools are significant settings for the development of young people, yet few studies have investigated the multiple facets of school climate and students' well‐being. This research aims to map the literature production in the two intertwined concepts: students' well‐being, and school climate. The study applied bibliometric analysis to map the research status of school climate and students' well‐being using metadata extracted from over a period of 33 years. The analysis presents a detailed overview of school climate and students' well‐being in terms of scientific production, citations, authorship, countries' production, and institutions' outputs. Results highlighted the recent developmental trends of publications on students' well‐being and school climate and outlined the precursors for triggering this combination. With reference to students' overall well‐being, analysing the results shows that research on school climate increased markedly in different parts of the world. However, when compared to Arab countries, rare studies were conducted. Context and implicationsRationale: Mapping the exponentially growing research on school climate and student well‐being can guide stakeholders in understanding research, gaps and priorities. Using bibliometric analysis here is necessary to evaluate the growing literature. Why the new findings matter: By elucidating exponential output, conceptual evolution and geographical imbalances, the analysis reveals a maturing yet decentralised field awaiting integration and high‐impact studies to inspire real‐world progress.Implications for practitioners, policy makers, and researchers: Findings guide strategic investments in rigorous intervention trials, student‐centred methodologies, cross‐national collaborative networks, and pathways translating evidence to school policies/practices. This analysis equips stakeholders to cultivate coordinated, culturally responsive research ecosystems providing actionable insights to create nurturing climates enabling all students to thrive. MATH anxiety ,MENTAL arithmetic ,PSYCHOLOGICAL factors ,MATHEMATICS education ,COGNITION ,BIBLIOMETRICS ,BIBLIOTHERAPY - Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate current trends in research of math anxiety (MA) through bibliometric perspective. Three main clusters were formed based on author keywords: cognitive correlates (working memory, attention, numerical cognition, mental arithmetic), psychological factors and effects (self-concept and self-efficacy, motivation, confidence, attitudes), and educational context (PISA, measurement, gender differences, math achievement, math education, assessment). Analysis of the index keywords revealed somewhat different organization with two dominant clusters: the experimental cluster in which the most frequent are psychophysiological measures and terms and the correlational cluster in which the topics of MA psychosocial factors are most represented. The map of bibliographic coupling showed several relatively separated groups of authors with different focus in cited references. However, a map of co-citation of authors revealed closeness of these separated groups, with Beilock, S. L. and Ashcraft, M. H. by far the most-cited authors in this field. Background: This study is a cost-effectiveness study of two implementation strategies designed to train therapists in college and university counseling centers to deliver interpersonal psychotherapy. Costs of implementing a train-the-trainer (TTT) strategy versus an expert consultation strategy were estimated, and their relative effects upon therapist outcomes were calculated and compared. Methods: Twenty four counseling centers were recruited across the United States. These centers were randomized to either a TTT (experimental) condition, in which an in-house therapist trained other center therapists, or an expert consultation condition, in which center therapists participated in a workshop and received 12 months of ongoing supervision. The main outcome was therapist fidelity (adherence and competence) to interpersonal psychotherapy, assessed via audio recordings of therapy sessions, and analyzed using linear mixed models. Costs of each condition were quantified using time-driven activity-based costing methods, and involved a costing survey administered to center directors, follow up interviews and validation checks, and comparison of time tracking logs of trainers in the expert condition. Mean costs to produce one therapist were obtained for each condition. The costs to produce equivalent improvements in therapist-level outcomes were then compared between the two conditions. Results: Mean cost incurred by counseling centers to train one therapist using the TTT strategy was $3,407 (median = $3,077); mean cost to produce one trained therapist in the control condition was $2,055 (median = $1,932). Therapists in the TTT condition, on average, demonstrated a 0.043 higher adherence score compared to therapists in the control condition; however, this difference was not statistically significant. For the competence outcome, effect size for therapists in the TTT condition was in the large range (1.16; 95% CI: 0.85–1.46; p <.001), and therapists in this condition, on average, demonstrated a 0.073 higher competence score compared to those in the expert consultation condition (95% CI, 0.008–0.14; p =.03). Counseling centers that used the TTT model incurred $353 less in training costs to produce equivalent improvements in therapist competence. Conclusions: Despite its higher short run costs, the TTT implementation strategy produces greater increases in therapist competence when compared to expert consultation. Expanding resources to support this platform for service delivery can be an effective way to enhance the mental health care of young people seeking care in college and university counseling centers. Trial registration: ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT02079142. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] more...

Retraction is the process of removing an article from the scientific records after it has been published. The objective of the study is to explore the influence of the number of retracted papers on the journal quality parameters in the subject of Psychology. The study has applied Pearson Coefficient Correlation to establish the relationship between the number of retracted papers and bibliometric parameters of journal evaluation. All the retracted journal articles indexed in the Scopus database up to the year 2022 in the subject of Psychology, were considered for the study. The Software tools, i.e. MS Excel, and statistical software R Studio® (version 3.6.1) along with the Biblioshiny bibliometrics package were used for data analysis. Bibliometrics indicators, i.e. SJR, total citations count, and h index of the journals, were retrieved from the website of Scimago Journal Ranking (www.scimagojr.com), and the Journal Impact Factor (IF) 2022 was used for the analysis. The results revealed a set of 180 journal articles scattered across 99 journals, that were retracted in the subject of Psychology. Among these 36% of the retracted papers were published as open access. From the analysis, it was concluded that there is a positive correlation between the number of retracted papers and bibliometric indicators i.e., impact factor, h-index, total citation counts, and JCR. On the other hand, there is the least influence of the number of retracted articles with SJR (0.024) and IF (0.072). However, a visible and normal co-relation was found among the total citation counts (0.170) and h-index (0.136), respectively. The findings of the study revealed that there is the least correlation between the number of retracted journal articles and the journal evaluation indicators; therefore, journal publishers must include a retraction policy to enhance the journal's reputation. This study conducted bibliometric and systematic analyses of the literature to map the application of life cycle assessment studies on photovoltaic panels, focusing on end-of-life alternatives. Seventy-six articles addressing management strategies, treatment, recycling, and utilization of the panels were examined. The results revealed a significant increase in the number of publications over time, particularly in high-impact journals. Sixteen end-of-life alternatives for the panels were identified, including recycling practices, material recovery, and landfills. All alternatives were analyzed regarding environmental, social, and economic impacts. Understanding the impacts of different end-of-life methods for solar panels is key in supporting government management and the implementation of effective policies and regulations. Additionally, it is necessary to consider the environmental and social effects, as well as ensure the protection of workers involved in related activities and prevent soil, water, and air contamination caused by different types of alternatives, such as dissolution and incineration. To enhance the recycling and recovery of elements from solar panels, scientific advancements and improvements in industrial infrastructure are necessary along with the implementation of a regional logistics approach that minimizes emissions resulting from transportation. The bibliometric analysis indicates that 65% of the studies were published within the last 3 years, and one quarter of the trending keywords of this period is "recycling". This is particularly relevant to show a major area for research in the solar industry. By means of the systematic analysis, this study compiles and synthetizes the most recent and relevant alternatives for managing end-of-life photovoltaic panels. The comprehensive overview of the impacts associated with these alternatives contributes to the literature and practice of sustainability in the energy sector, providing support for informed decisions directed towards implementation.
