Purpose: This investigation aimed to assess the impact of additive manufacturing-generated surface textures on zirconia bond strength. Materials and Methods: Zirconia samples (n = 144) fabricated using digital light-processing (DLP) technology were categorized into 6 groups according to the type of surface conditioning (group NN: no designs, no air abrasion; group NY: no designs, with air abrasion; group GN: groove designs, no air abrasion; group GY: groove designs with air abrasion; group HN: hexagon grid, no air abrasion; group HY: hexagon grid, with air abrasion). Composite resin cylinders were cemented to the treated zirconia surfaces with dual-curing, self-adhesive resin cement (Clearfil SA Luting). The shear bond strength (SBS) was tested after water storage for 3 days or 3 days with an additional 10,000 thermocycles. Results: The zirconia samples fabricated using DLP technology have high accuracy. The SBS of the NY, GY, and HY groups did not significantly differ after 3 days, and neither did the SBS of the NN, GN, and HN groups. The NN, NY, and HY groups exhibited reduced SBS compared to their initial values following artificial aging, while the SBS of the remaining three groups were not diminished. With the aging of the global population, the incidence of musculoskeletal diseases has been increasing, seriously affecting people's health. As people age, the microenvironment within skeleton favors bone resorption and inhibits bone formation, accompanied by bone marrow fat accumulation and multiple cellular senescence. Specifically, skeletal stem/stromal cells (SSCs) during aging tend to undergo adipogenesis rather than osteogenesis. Meanwhile, osteoblasts, as well as osteocytes, showed increased apoptosis, decreased quantity, and multiple functional limitations including impaired mechanical sensing, intercellular modulation, and exosome secretion. Also, the bone resorption function of macrophage-lineage cells (including osteoclasts and preosteoclasts) was significantly enhanced, as well as impaired vascularization and innervation. In this study, we systematically reviewed the effect of aging on bone and the within microenvironment (including skeletal cells as well as their intracellular structure variations, vascular structures, innervation, marrow fat distribution, and lymphatic system) caused by aging, and mechanisms of osteoimmune regulation of the bone environment in the aging state, and the causal relationship with multiple musculoskeletal diseases in addition with their potential therapeutic strategy. This study presents the findings from a 48-hour experimental investigation of reverberation and clutter in the northern Yellow China Sea, conducted in July 2014. Utilizing temperature and depth sensor arrays, we captured multiple instances of nonlinear internal waves (NIWs). Notably, the reverberation data collected by a vertical array of hydrophones revealed peculiar intensity fluctuations, which were exclusively detected by hydrophones located below the thermocline as NIWs traversed the measurement vessel. To elucidate this phenomenon, we introduce a novel coupled-mode reverberation-clutter theory. Through numerical computations, we determined both the coherent and incoherent components of the reverberation intensities, effectively accounting for the observed target-like intensity variations. Microplastics (MPs) and chromium (Cr) are common pollutants in wastewater treatment plants, where ultraviolet disinfection processes may degrade MPs and photooxidize Cr(III) into more hazardous Cr(VI). In this study, the effects of MPs on the phototransformation of coexisting Cr, as well as the role and ecological effects of MPs-derived dissolved organic matter (MPs-DOM), were investigated. The photooxidation of MPs and Cr(III) was radicaldriven reaction. The addition of MPs inhibited the photooxidation of Cr(III) and induced the photoreduction of Cr(VI) through surface adsorption. Both MPs and MPs-DOM generated comparable ROS at different irradiation moments, which can affect the photodegradation of MPs and MPs-DOM, as well as the phototransformation of Cr. The 56-day incubation showed a higher mineralization ratio of MPs-DOMs than riverine humic acid, indicating the vital contribution of MPs-DOMs to carbon emissions. In general, MPs-DOM lowered microbial abundance and diversity compared to the original inoculum. Bacterial and fungal succession was affected by both MPs- DOM and the original inoculum, with polyvinyl chloride-derived DOM possessing a stronger filtration impact on microbial communities than the other three MPs-DOMs. In this study, a win--win solution for Cr(VI) reduction and MPs treatment through photoirradiation was proposed, and the potential significant role of MPs-DOM in the transformation of coexisting contaminants, the carbon cycle, and microbial succession was highlighted. Basketball players are prone to joint injuries due to the sport's high intensity and physical demands. Early prediction of injury risk is crucial for implementing effective prevention strategies. Incorporating biomechanics, this study focuses on basketball players at a university in Xi'an, China, aiming to develop a machine learning-based model to predict joint injury risk using easily collectable data such as training load, fatigue levels, and previous injury history. Considering regional differences, we observed that local and northern Chinese students are generally taller, while students from southern China are typically shorter. This anthropometric variation was included in our sampling and analysis. Utilizing data from 100 basketball players, the Random Forest algorithm achieved the best predictive performance with an accuracy of 85%. Key risk factors identified include high training load, elevated subjective fatigue scores, and a history of previous joint injuries. Additionally, biomechanical data were integrated to elucidate the underlying mechanisms of joint injuries, and the cellular responses to injury were explored. The results demonstrate that even with limited data types, machine learning methods can effectively predict joint injury risk among basketball players, providing a valuable tool for injury prevention. Flotation is a primary method for separating fine particles, and the growing demand for processing these particles has driven recent research efforts towards developing and designing more efficient flotation devices. Among these, the Reflux Flotation Cell (RFC) stands out as an innovative solution specifically tailored for fine particle flotation. Gas parameters are crucial factors influencing flotation and are essential indicators for evaluating flotation equipment. This study primarily investigates the gas characteristics within the RFC, including bubble size, gas holdup, and bubble surface area flux. The experimental results indicate that bubble diameters range from 0.4 to 0.8 mm, gas holdup ranges from 30 % to 50 %, and bubble surface area flux ranges from 120 to 400 s-1. Background: Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is a critical transitional phase from healthy cognitive aging to dementia, offering a unique opportunity for early intervention. However, few studies focus on the correlation of brain structure and functional activity in patients with MCI due to Alzheimer's disease (AD). Elucidating the complex interactions between structural-functional (SC-FC) brain connectivity and glymphatic system function is crucial for understanding this condition. Method: The aims of this study were to explore the relationship among SCFC coupling values, glymphatic system function and cognitive function. 23 MCI patients and 18 healthy controls (HC) underwent diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and resting-state functional MRI (fMRI). DTI analysis along the perivascular space (DTI-ALPS) index and SC-FC coupling values were calculated using DTI and fMRI. Correlation analysis was conducted to assess the relationship between Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) scores, DTI-ALPS index, and coupling values. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves was conducted on the SC-FC coupling between the whole brain and subnetworks. The correlation of coupling values with MMSE scores was also analyzed. Result: MCI patients (67.74 ± 6.99 years of age) exhibited significantly lower coupling in the whole-brain network and subnetworks, such as the somatomotor network (SMN) and ventral attention network (VAN), than HCs (63.44 ± 6.92 years of age). Whole-brain network coupling was positively correlated with dorsal attention network (DAN), SMN, and visual network (VN) coupling. MMSE scores were significantly positively correlated with whole-brain coupling and SMN coupling. In MCI, whole-brain network demonstrated the highest performance, followed by the SMN and VAN, with the VN, DAN, limbic network (LN), frontoparietal network (FPN), and default mode network (DMN). Compared to HCs, lower DTI-ALPS index was observed in individuals with MCI. Additionally, the left DTI-ALPS index showed a significant positive correlation with MMSE scores and coupling values in the whole-brain network and SMN. Conclusion: These findings reveal the critical role of SC-FC coupling values and the ALPS index in cognitive function of MCI. The positive correlations observed in the left DTI-ALPS and whole-brain and SMN coupling values provide a new insight for investigating the asymmetrical nature of cognitive impairments. Purpose: How cortical functional reorganization occurs after hearing loss in preschool children with congenital sensorineural hearing loss (CSNHL) is poorly understood. Therefore, we used resting-state functional MRI (rs-fMRI) to explore the characteristics of cortical reorganization in these patents. Methods: Sixty-three preschool children with CSNHL and 32 healthy controls (HCs) were recruited, and the Categories of Auditory Performance (CAP) scores were determined at the 6-month follow-up after cochlear implantation (CI). First, rs-fMRI data were preprocessed, and amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation (ALFF) and regional homogeneity (ReHo) were calculated. Second, whole-brain functional connectivity (FC) analysis was performed using bilateral primary auditory cortex as seed points. Finally, Spearman correlation analysis was performed between the differential ALFF, ReHo and FC values and the CAP score. Results: ALFF analysis showed that preschool children with CSNHL had lower ALFF values in the bilateral prefrontal cortex and superior temporal gyrus than HCs, but higher ALFF values in the bilateral thalamus and calcarine gyrus. And correlation analysis showed that some abnormal brain regions were weak negatively correlated with CAP score (p < 0.05). The ReHo values in the bilateral superior temporal gyrus, part of the prefrontal cortex and left insular gyrus were lower, whereas ReHo values in the bilateral thalamus, right caudate nucleus and right precentral gyrus were higher, in children with CSNHL than HCs. However, there was no correlation between ReHo values and the CAP scores (p < 0.05). Using primary auditory cortex (PAC) as seed-based FC further analysis revealed enhanced FC in the visual cortex, proprioceptive cortex and motor cortex. And there were weak negative correlations between the FC values in the bilateral superior temporal gyrus, occipital lobe, left postcentral gyrus and right thalamus were weakly negatively correlated and the CAP score (p < 0.05). Conclusion: After auditory deprivation in preschool children with CSNHL, the local functions of auditory cortex, visual cortex, prefrontal cortex and somatic motor cortex are changed, and the prefrontal cortex plays a regulatory role in this process. There is functional reorganization or compensation between children's hearing and these areas, which may not be conducive to auditory language recovery after CI in deaf children. Obesity is an unhealthy condition associated with various diseases characterized by excess fat accumulation. However, in China, the prevalence of obesity is 14.1%, and it remains challenging to achieve weight loss or resolve this issue through clinical interventions. Sanghuangpours vaninii (SPV) is a nutritional fungus with multiple pharmacological activities and serves as an ideal dietary intervention for combating obesity. In this study, a long-term high-fat diet (HFD) was administered to induce obesity in mice. Different doses of SPV and the positive drug simvastatin (SV) were administered to mice to explore their potential anti-obesity effects. SPV regulated weight, serum lipids, and adipocyte size while inhibiting inflammation and hepatic steatosis. Compared with the vehicle-treated HFD-fed mice, the lowest decreases in total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were 9.72%, 9.29%, and 12.29%, respectively, and the lowest increase in high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) was 5.88% after treatment with different doses of SPV. With SPV treatment, the analysis of gut microbiota and serum lipids revealed a significant association between lipids and inflammation-related factors, specifically sphingomyelin. Moreover, Western blotting results showed that SPV regulated the toll-like receptor (TLR4)/nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) signaling pathway in HFD-diet mice, which is related to inflammation and lipid metabolism. Background: Nowadays, e-learning significantly affects college students' academic life. This study aims to examine the factors that influence college students' satisfaction with online learning outcomes. Method: The study population consisted of undergraduate students from Dalian Medical University, with a total of 715 college students participating in the study. Out of these participants, 602 valid questionnaires were obtained. Demographic data was analyzed using SPSS.22, and the data was cleaned and prepared for testing the research hypotheses. The proposed research framework was examined using structural equation modeling (SEM) through Smart-PLS 3.0. Results: The results of the study showed that student satisfaction with learning outcomes was positively correlated with several factors: quality of teacher instruction (β = 0.100, p < 0.0001), quality of e-learning platforms (β = 0.059, p < 0.0001), individual learner factors such as learning motivation (β = 0.112, p < 0.001), and e-learning environment (β = 0.469, p < 0.001). Additionally, selflearning efficacy (β = 0.081, p < 0.0001), learning strategies (β = 0.031, p < 0.001), and learning motivation (β = 0.039, p < 0.001) were found to have mediating effects. Conclusion: Understanding the satisfaction of college students with the effect of e-learning holds great significance in coping with teaching methods in unexpected situations. It enables adjustments to teaching strategies, improvements to learning platforms, and mobilization of students' motivation. Water-splitting coupled with the hydrazine oxidation reaction (HzOR) is a remarkably important strategy for H2 production, but remains a challenge. Herein, a Fe-doped Ni2P-Co2P-Zn3P2 heterogeneous electrocatalyst with a nanoneedle-assembled nanosphere structure and abundant defects was fabricated on Ni foam (Fe-NiCoZnP/NF). The introduction of Fe can tune the electron structure of NiCoZnP/NF, leading to a modulation of the d-band center towards the Fermi level, hence optimizing the free energy of hydrogen (ΔGH*) and dehydrogenation behavior of hydrazine, and thereby realizing splendid HER and HzOR activities. The fabricated Fe-NiCoZnP/NF catalyst displays outstanding HER and HzOR activity and durability, with potentials of 121 and 13 mV vs. RHE to drive 1000 mA cm-2 and Tafel slopes of 31.2 and 11.9 mV dec-1, respectively, and a long durability of 120 h to achieve 100 mA cm-2. Impressively, overall water-hydrazine electrolysis employing Fe-NiCoZnP/NF as the anodic and cathodic electrodes only requires low voltages of 1.92 and 2.67 V to achieve 100 and 1000 mA cm-2, respectively, with a high stability for 120 h operation time during overall hydrazine splitting (OHzS). The requirements of low weight and high strength are often contradictory in the design and production of manned/unmanned submersibles. In this paper, a novel structure that combines fiber-reinforced composites and buoyancy materials was proposed to solve this contradiction. These two materials in this structure can cooperate and obtain good compressive properties and low densities. A theoretical model of the compressive strength of this combined structure is proposed. Compression experiments were carried out on six groups of samples. The experimental results show that the compressive capacity of the combined structure is greater than the sum of the compressive capacity of buoyancy material and FRP pipe. The stress distribution of the combined structure under uniaxial pressure is simulated through a finite element model. At present, there is a lack of relevant literature on functional training for young athletes aged 10-12 years old in China. This project plans to combine functional training with sports training classes. Through 40 young athletes aged 10-12 years old, the impact of functional training on 10-12-year-old athletes is systematically studied. Effects on agility in age-old athletes and exploring its causes. This article uses expert interview methods, experimental methods, mathematical statistics and other methods to analyze the survey results. Before the experiment begins, general information about the research subjects is collected, and then they are divided into experimental groups and control groups, and then a difference analysis is performed to determine the differences between the two groups. After 12 weeks of experimental intervention, the sensitivity quality evaluation indicators of the two groups of students were compared. Results: There was a very significant difference in the experimental group's scores on the hexagonal reaction ball test before and after the experiment (P<0.01), with an improvement rate of 10.8%; the difference between the control group's scores on the hexagonal reaction ball test before and after the experiment was statistically significant (P<0.01). Significance (P<0.05), the average improvement was 4.0%. There was a very significant difference (P<0.01) in the performance of the experimental group in the 4 x 10m return run before and after the experiment, with an improvement rate of 11.7%; in the control group, there was a significant difference in the 4 x 10m return run before and after the experiment. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), and the average progress rate was 8.0%. Conclusion: Whether functional training or traditional physical training can improve the physical fitness of children aged 10 to 12 years old to varying degrees. Among athletes aged 10 to 12 years old, functional training has a significant promotion effect on improving the speed and flexibility of the 6-angle reaction ball and 4 x 10 m. Traditional physical training has a significant effect on improving the speed and flexibility of the 4 x 10 m return run between the ages of 10 and 12 years. With the popularization and specialization of youth sports training, how to accurately capture and evaluate the quality of trainers' movements has become an important topic in sports science research. This study aims to improve the youth sports training motion capture technology, using decision tree algorithm to classify and analyze the movement data in order to improve the training effect of athletes. The traditional motion capture technique has problems such as high subjectivity, low efficiency, and error-prone, while the decision tree algorithm has the advantages of simplicity, fast training speed, and adaptability to small sample data. In this study, the action data of youth athletes were collected and the decision tree algorithm was used to train and predict the athletes' action classification results. The experimental results show that the decision tree algorithm can effectively classify and analyze the action data of adolescent athletes, accurately judge the strengths and weaknesses of athletes' actions, and provide targeted training suggestions and improvement directions. Compared with the traditional manual observation method, the motion capture technology based on the decision tree algorithm has obvious advantages in terms of accuracy and efficiency. Therefore, this technical improvement method provides a new way and method for youth sports training, which is expected to provide important support for improving the training effect and assessment accuracy. To maximize the expected profits and manage the risks of renewable energy system under electricity market environment, scenario-based- stochastic optimization model can be established to generate energy bidding strategies, in which the probabilistic scenarios of risk parameters are usually obtained by using statistical or machine learning methods. This paper proposes a practical multivariate statistical method for risk parameter scenario generation, which is used by a wind energy system faced with uncertain electricity prices and wind power productions, and it considers the correlation between dependent risk parameters by using historical data directly. The probabilities of scenarios containing correlated risk parameters are calculated by using multivariate histograms, in which the asymmetric correlation between different parameters existing in the historical data are preserved. Additionally, in order to make the stochastic optimization problem with large numbers of scenarios tractable, a multivariate scenario reduction method is used to trim down the scenario number. By solving the stochastic optimization problem, optimal day-ahead bidding curves for the wind energy system are generated, and Douglas-Peucker algorithm is used to fit the bidding curves according to market requirements. Case studies based on real world data in electricity markets are performed to prove the effectiveness of the proposed risk parameter scenario generation method and energy bidding strategies. This review constitutes a summary of current knowledge on GlnR, a global regulator, that assumes a critical function in the regulation of nitrogen metabolism of Actinomycetes. In cross-regulation with other regulators, GlnR was also shown to play a role in the regulation of carbon and phosphate metabolisms as well as of secondary metabolism. A description of the structure of the GlnR protein and of its binding sites in various genes promoters regions is also provided. Underwater wireless sensor network that operates underwater, typically in oceans, lakes, and rivers. UWSNs are composed of a large number of small sensor nodes that are equipped with various sensing and communication capabilities. These nodes are deployed in the underwater environment to collect and transmit data, which can be used for a variety of applications such as environmental monitoring, oceanography, and marine biology. The Underwater WSN (UWSN) consists of sensor nodes to sense the data and transmit it to the sink node. These sensor nodes (SN) are equipped with limited batteries, which is the central issue. Therefore, the routing protocols were developed for researchers to save energy. However, the increment of network lifetime remains an open challenge. Forwarding the data to the nearest SN to the sink will reduce the network reliability and stability, draining SN's energy early. To overcome these issues, this paper focused on developing an efficient Cooperative based routing (CR) with a machine learning (ML) model to improve the network's lifetime. The cooperative routing discovers the route path from the sender to the destination. The best possible way from the sender to the receiver has been selected using the ML approach called the Self-organizing network (SON). By identifying congestion-free multi-hop transmission using CRSON, the data packet is transmitted from sender to receiver with reduced energy, increasing the network's lifetime and reliability. Arenobufagin (ArBu) is a natural anticancer drug with good anti-tumor effects, but its clinical applications and drug development potential are limited due to its toxicity. The purpose of this study is to reduce the toxic side effects of ArBu and improve the efficacy of tumor treatment by incorporating it into poly(ethylene glycol)-b-poly (lactide) co-polymer (PEG-PLA). ArBu@PEG-PLA micelles were prepared by a thin film hydration method. The optimized micelles were characterized by size, stability, drug loading, encapsulation rate, and drug release. The tumor-inhibition efficacy of the micelles was evaluated on A549 cells and tumor-bearing mice. The ArBu@PEG-PLA micelles have good drug-loading capacity, release performance, and stability. They can accumulate at the tumor site through the EPR effect. The micelles induce apoptosis through a mitochondrial apoptosis pathway. Compared with the free ArBu, the ArBu@PEG-PLA micelles had lower toxicity and higher safety in the acute toxicity evaluation experiment. The in vivo anti-tumor experiment with tumor-bearing mice showed that the tumor-inhibition rate of ArBu@PEG-PLA micelles was 72.9%, which was 1.28-fold higher than that of free ArBu (57.1%), thus showing a good tumor treatment effect. Congenital vertebral malformations (CVMs) and neural tube defects (NTDs) are common birth defects affecting the spine and nervous system, respectively, due to defects in somitogenesis and neurulation. Somitogenesis and neurulation rely on factors secreted from neighbouring tissues and the integrity of the axial structure. Crucial signalling pathways like Wnt, Notch and planar cell polarity regulate somitogenesis and neurulation with significant crosstalk. While previous studies suggest an association between CVMs and NTDs, the exact mechanism underlying this relationship remains unclear. In this review, we explore embryonic development, signalling pathways and clinical phenotypes involved in the association between CVMs and NTDs. Moreover, we provide a summary of syndromes that exhibit occurrences of both CVMs and NTDs. We aim to provide insights into the potential mechanisms underlying the association between CVMs and NTDs, thereby facilitating clinical diagnosis and management of these anomalies. Bone is a tissue that is active throughout the lifespan, and its physiological activities, such as growth, development, absorption, and formation, are always ongoing. All types of stimulation that occur in sports play an important role in regulating the physiological activities of bone. Here, we track the latest research progress locally and abroad, summarize the recent, relevant research results, and systematically summarize the effects of different types of exercise on bone mass, bone strength and bone metabolism. We found that different types of exercise have different effects on bone health due to their unique technical characteristics. Oxidative stress is an important mechanism mediating the exercise regulation of bone homeostasis. Excessive high-intensity exercise does not benefit bone health but induces a high level of oxidative stress in the body, which has a negative impact on bone tissue. Regular moderate exercise can improve the body's antioxidant defense ability, inhibit an excessive oxidative stress response, promote the positive balance of bone metabolism, delay age-related bone loss and deterioration of bone microstructures and have a prevention and treatment effect on osteoporosis caused by many factors. Based on the above findings, we provide evidence for the role of exercise in the prevention and treatment of bone diseases. This study provides a systematic basis for clinicians and professionals to reasonably formulate exercise prescriptions and provides exercise guidance for patients and the general public. Purpose: The present study aimed to investigate the clinical prognostic significance of radiomics signature (R-signature) in patients with gastric neuroendocrine neoplasm (GNEN). Methods and Materials: A retrospective study of 182 patients with GNEN who underwent dual-phase enhanced computed tomography (CT) scanning was conducted. LASSO-Cox regression analysis was used to screen the features and establish the arterial, venous and the arteriovenous phase combined Rsignature, respectively. The association between the optimal R-signature with the best prognostic performance and overall survival (OS) was assessed in the training cohort and verified in the validation cohort. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analysis were used to identify the significant factors of clinicopathological characteristics for OS. Furthermore, the performance of a combined radiomics-clinical nomogram integrating the R-signature and independent clinicopathological risk factors was evaluated. Results: The arteriovenous phase combined R-signature had the best performance in predicting OS, and its C-index value was better than the independent arterial and venous phase R-signature (0.803 vs 0.784 and 0.803 vs 0.756, P<0.001, respectively). The optimal R-signature was significantly associated with OS in the training cohort and validation cohort. GNEN patients could be successfully divided into high and low prognostic risk groups with radiomics score median. The combined radiomics-clinical nomogram combining this R-signature and independent clinicopathological risk factors (sex, age, treatment methods, T stage, N stage, M stage, tumor boundary, Ki67, CD56) exhibited significant prognostic superiority over clinical nomogram, Rsignature alone, and traditional TNM staging system (C-index, 0.882 vs 0.861, 882 vs 0.803, and 0.882 vs 0.870 respectively, P<0.001). All calibration curves showed remarkable consistency between predicted and actual survival, and decision curve analysis verified the usefulness of the combined radiomicsclinical nomogram for clinical practice. Conclusions: The R-signature could be used to stratify patients with GNEN into high and low risk groups. Furthermore, the combined radiomics-clinical nomogram provided better predictive accuracy than other predictive models and might aid clinicians with therapeutic decision-making and patient counseling. Maintaining the viability and avoiding necrosis of dental pulp are crucial to preserving the structural integrity and functioning of teeth. In recent years, cell-based regenerative endodontics has emerged as a promising approach to achieve this goal and has gained increasing attention in scientific research; however, in the confined space of the root canal system, hypoxic conditions can be both beneficial and detrimental, as they may promote angiogenesis in the graft to some extent but also lead to tissue necrosis if prolonged. Dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) have been verified as multipotent cells that can promote angiogenesis and are therefore ideal candidates for realising real dental pulp regeneration within root canals. Thus, we focus on the underlying mechanisms of DPSCs to promote angiogenesis and summarise some preclinical studies and clinical trials involving transplanting of DPSCs to achieve real dental pulp regeneration, in the hope that this intractable source of perplexity in regenerative endodontics may be resolved sooner. In this study, the complete cDNA sequence (1552 bp) of the cold-inducible RNA binding protein gene (cirbp gene) was successfully cloned from the liver in Acanthopagrus schlegelii (initial weight: 15.0 ± 2.3 g). Results showed that Ascirbp (cirbp gene from A. schlegelii) gene has 24 phosphorylation sites, no signal peptide, and no transmembrane helix structure. AsCIRBP, with a molecular weight of 18.84 ku and an isoelectric point of 9.04 was a stable protein that encodes 182 amino acids. Subcellular localization analysis of this protein showed that it was located in the nucleus. Sequence alignment results showed that the AsCIRBP amino acid sequences of various fishes including black porgy were highly conserved, especially the RNA recognition motif (RRM). Those results of real-time quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR) demonstrated that Ascirbp gene was specifically expressed in the liver tissue of black porgy and its expression was significantly increased under cold stress or cold acclimation. The RNA interference experiment results showed that Ascirbp-dsRNA could suppress the expression of Ascirbp gene in the liver of black porgy through intraperitoneal injection. After silencing the expression of Ascirbp gene, RNAi groups were more severely damaged in the structure of the liver tissue and more prone to apoptosis under cold stress than control groups. The results of the study on the linkage between Ascirbp gene expression and mitochondrial apoptosis pathways showed that changes in the expression of the Ascirbp gene had a significant effect on the expression of key genes of apoptosis. The most striking result from silencing the expression of the Ascirbp gene was that expressions of the bcl-2 and apaf-1 gene in the liver of black porgy decreased significantly, which can block the normal apoptotic process. After the disruption of the normal apoptotic process, the expressions of p53, bax, cyto-c, caspase-9, caspase-3, diablo, and caspase-1 gene were significantly affected. In the practical application of cryogenic systems, the presence of thermoacoustic oscillation can cause a series of adverse consequences such as pressure fluctuations, thermal leakage, structural damage, and so on. To ensure stable operation of the system, variable cross-section control pipe fittings are introduced, and response surface analysis method is used to optimize the parameter design of the control pipe fittings. A series of simulations have been conducted and the response surface method is introduced to conduct variance analysis on the simulation results, and obtain the regression model of the system pressure ratio, then analyze the interaction between parameters. The analysis of variance shows that the correlation coefficient and adjustment coefficient are both close to 1.0, the signal to noise ratio is high, and the fitting degree of the regression model is good. The prediction error of the regression model for the pressure ratio is within ±10, and the distribution of the residual meets the random normal distribution, which can predict the system performance within the parameter design range. The interaction between pipe diameter and length has no significant impact on the oscillation state, so in design, priority should be given to the impact of location and pipe diameter. Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most aggressive cancer of the brain and has a high mortality rate due to the lack of effective treatment strategy. Clarification of molecular mechanisms of GBM's characteristic invasive growth is urgently needed to improve the poor prognosis. Single-nuclear sequencing of primary and recurrent GBM samples revealed that levels of M3 muscarinic acetylcholine receptor (CHRM3) were significantly higher in the recurrent samples than in the primary samples. Moreover, immunohistochemical staining of an array of GBM samples showed that high levels of CHRM3 correlated with poor prognosis, consistent with The Cancer Genome Atlas database. Knockdown of CHRM3 inhibited GBM cell growth and invasion. An assay of orthotopic GBM animal model in vivo indicated that inhibition of CHRM3 significantly suppressed GBM progression with prolonged survival time. Transcriptome analysis revealed that CHRM3 knockdown significantly reduced an array of classic factors involved in cancer invasive growth, including MMP1/MMP3/MMP10/MMP12 and CXCL1/CXCL5/CXCL8. Taken together, CHRM3 is a novel and vital factor of GBM progression via regulation of multiple oncogenic genes and may serve as a new biomarker for prognosis and therapy of GBM patients. Background: Secondary hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is a rare, life-threatening disease of immune hyperactivation that arises in the context of infectious, inflammatory, or neoplastic triggers. The aim of this study was to establish a predictive model for the timely differential diagnosis of the original disease resulting in HLH by validating clinical and laboratory findings to further improve the efficacy of therapeutics for HLH. Methods: We retrospectively enrolled 175 secondary HLH patients in this study, including 92 patients with hematologic disease and 83 patients with rheumatic disease. The medical records of all identified patients were retrospectively reviewed and used to generate the predictive model. We also developed an early risk score using multivariate analysis weighted points proportional to the b regression coefficient values and calculated its sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis of the original disease resulting in HLH. Results: The multivariate logistic analysis revealed that lower levels of hemoglobin and platelets (PLT), lower levels of ferritin, splenomegaly and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) positivity were associated with hematologic disease, but young age and female sex were associated with rheumatic disease. The risk factors for HLH secondary to rheumatic diseases were female sex [OR 4.434 (95% CI, 1.889-10.407), P =0.001], younger age [OR 6.773 (95% CI, 2.706-16.952), P<0.001], higher PLT level [OR 6.674 (95% CI, 2.838-15.694), P<0.001], higher ferritin level [OR 5.269 (95% CI, 1.995-13.920), P =0.001], and EBV negativity [OR 27.656 (95% CI, 4.499-169.996), P<0.001]. The risk score included assessments of female sex, age, PLT count, ferritin level and EBV negativity, which can be used to predict HLH secondary to rheumatic diseases with an AUC of 0.844 (95% CI, 0.836~0.932). Conclusion: The established predictive model was designed to help clinicians diagnose the original disease resulting in secondary HLH during routine practice, which might be improve prognosis by enabling the timely treatment of the underlying disease. Background: Liver fibrosis is a reversible wound-healing response that can lead to end-stage liver diseases without effective treatment, in which HBV infection is a major cause. However, the underlying mechanisms for the development of HBV-induced fibrosis remains elusive, and efficacious therapies for this disease are still lacking. In present investigation, we investigated the effect and mechanism of green tea polyphenol epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) on HBV-induced liver injury and fibrosis. Methods: The effect of EGCG on liver fibrosis was examined in a recombinant cccDNA (rcccDNA) chronic HBV mouse model by immunohistochemical staining, Sirius red and Masson's trichrome staining. The functional relevance between high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) and inflammasome activation and the role of EGCG in it were analyzed by Western blotting. The effect of EGCG on autophagic flux was determined by Western blotting and flow cytometric analysis. Results: EGCG treatment efficiently was found to alleviate HBV-induced liver injury and fibrosis in a recombinant cccDNA (rcccDNA) chronic HBV mouse model, a proven suitable research platform for HBV-induced fibrosis. Mechanistically, EGCG was revealed to repress the activation of macrophage NLRP3 inflammasome, a critical trigger of HBV-induced liver fibrosis. Further study revealed that EGCG suppressed macrophage inflammasome through downregulating the level of extracellular HMGB1. Furthermore, our data demonstrated that EGCG treatment downregulated the levels of extracellular HMGB1 through activating autophagic degradation of cytoplasmic HMGB1 in hepatocytes. Accordingly, autophagy blockade was revealed to significantly reverse EGCG-mediated inhibition on extracellular HMGB1-activated macrophage inflammasome and thus suppress the therapeutic effect of EGCG on HBV-induced liver injury and fibrosis. Conclusion: EGCG ameliorates HBV-induced liver injury and fibrosis via autophagic degradation of cytoplasmic HMGB1 and the subsequent suppression of macrophage inflammasome activation. These data provided a new pathogenic mechanism for HBV-induced liver fibrosis involving the extracellular HMGB1-mediated macrophage inflammasome activation, and also suggested EGCG administration as a promising therapeutic strategy for this disease. In this review, the principle of MO is presented in terms of their transmission function and tolerance to nonlinear phase shift and recent progress is reported in the advanced output performance of MO, manifested through high peak power, few-cycles, high repetition rate, and supercontinuum generation. MO with various operation wavelengths (1, 1.5, and 2 μm) are examined, and MO starting methods are fully discussed, followed by a detailed account of diverse potential applications in areas such as biomedical imaging and material processing. We reported an 85-year-old patient with malignant glomus tumor (GT) of the prostate. He presented with urinary frequency for more than 2 years and gross hematuria for 7 days. Computed tomography scan showed that the prostate was markedly irregularly enlarged, and the boundary between the prostate and the posterior wall of the bladder was unclear. Bilateral kidneys and ureters were dilated. Biochemical examinations showed that the serum potassium was 7.24 mmol/L and the serum creatinine was 974.6 mmol/L. Transurethral diagnostic resection was performed after restoring homeostasis through several times of bedside blood filtration. The pathological diagnosis was malignant GT. The patient's renal function recovered after bilateral nephrostomy, and he refused further treatment and was out of contact after 9 months. Introduction: Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is the leading cause of kidney failure in North America, characterized by glomerular accumulation of extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins. High glucose (HG) induction of glomerular mesangial cell (MC) profibrotic responses plays a central role in its pathogenesis. We previously showed that the endoplasmic reticulum resident GRP78 translocates to the cell surface in response to HG, where it mediates Akt activation and downstream profibrotic responses in MC. Transforming growth factor ß1 (TGFß1) is recognized as a central mediator of HG-induced profibrotic responses, but whether its activation is regulated by cell surface GRP78 (csGRP78) is unknown. TGFß1 is stored in the ECM in a latent form, requiring release for biological activity. The matrix glycoprotein thrombospondin 1 (TSP1), known to be increased in DKD and by HG in MC, is an important factor in TGFß1 activation. Here we determined whether csGRP78 regulates TSP1 expression and thereby TGFß1 activation by HG. Methods: Primary mouse MC were used. TSP1 and TGFß1 were assessed using standard molecular biology techniques. Inhibitors of csGRP78 were: 1) vaspin, 2) the C-terminal targeting antibody C38, 3) siRNA downregulation of its transport co-chaperone MTJ-1 to prevent GRP78 translocation to the cell surface, and 4) prevention of csGRP78 activation by its ligand, active a2-macroglobulin (a2M*), with the neutralizing antibody Fa2M or an inhibitory peptide. Results: TSP1 transcript and promoter activity were increased by HG, as were cellular and ECM TSP1, and these required PI3K/Akt activity. Inhibition of csGRP78 prevented HG-induced TSP1 upregulation and deposition into the ECM. The HGinduced increase in active TGFß1 in the medium was also inhibited, which was associated with reduced intracellular Smad3 activation and signaling. Overexpression of csGRP78 increased TSP-1, and this was further augmented in HG. Discussion: These data support an important role for csGRP78 in regulating HGinduced TSP1 transcriptional induction via PI3K/Akt signaling. Functionally, this enables TGFß1 activation in response to HG, with consequent increase in ECM proteins. The myostatin (MSTN) gene is a negative regulator of animal muscle growth and development. This gene not only inhibits muscle cell growth and reduces fat accumulation but also exerts a significant effect on back fat thickness, birth weight and carcass traits. MSTN gene mutation, an important factor that influences economic traits, directly affects the growth and development of animals and consequently the quality of animal products. This paper reviews the structural and functional characteristics of the MSTN gene. The genetic variation of the MSTN gene is then compared among four domestic animals (cattle, sheep, goat and pig) and its correlation with important economic traits is analysed. The mechanism and structural characteristics of MSTN gene mutants are further discussed. Intervertebral disk degeneration (IDD) is a chronic inflammatory disease with intricate connections between immune infiltration and oxidative stress (OS). Complex cell niches exist in degenerative intervertebral disk (IVD) and interact with each other and regulate the disk homeostasis together. However, few studies have used longitudinal approach to describe the immune response of IDD progression. Here, we conducted conjoint analysis of bulk-RNA sequencing and single-cell sequencing, together with a series of techniques like weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA), immune infiltration analysis, and differential analysis, to systematically decipher the difference in OS-related functions of different cell populations within degenerative IVD tissues, and further depicted the longitudinal alterations of immune cells, especially monocytes/macrophages in the progression of IDD. The OS-related genes CYP1A1, MMP1, CCND1, and NQO1 are highly expressed and might be diagnostic biomarkers for the progression of IDD. Further landscape of IVD microenvironment showed distinct changes in cell proportions and characteristics at late degeneration compared to early degeneration of IDD. Monocytes/macrophages were classified into five distinct subpopulations with different roles. The trajectory lineage analysis revealed transcriptome alterations from effector monocytes/macrophages and regulatory macrophages to other subtypes during the evolution process and identified monocytes/macrophage subpopulations that had rapidly experienced the activation of inflammatory or anti-inflammatory responses. In response to DNA damage, bacterial RecA protein forms filaments with the assistance of DinI protein. The RecA filaments stimulate the autocleavage of LexA, the repressor of more than 50 SOS genes, and activate the SOS response. During the late phase of SOS response, the RecA filaments stimulate the autocleavage of UmuD and λ repressor CI, leading to mutagenic repair and lytic cycle, respectively. Here, we determined the cryo-electron microscopy structures of Escherichia coli RecA filaments in complex with DinI, LexA, UmuD, and λCI by helical reconstruction. The structures reveal that LexA and UmuD dimers bind in the filament groove and cleave in an intramolecular and an intermolecular manner, respectively, while λCI binds deeply in the filament groove as a monomer. Despite their distinct folds and oligomeric states, all RecA filament binders recognize the same conserved protein features in the filament groove. The SOS response in bacteria can lead to mutagenesis and antimicrobial resistance, and our study paves the way for rational drug design targeting the bacterial SOS response. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

BACKGROUND His bundle pacing (HBP) and left bundle branch pacing (LBBP) both provide physiologic pacing which maintain left ventricular synchrony. They both improve heart failure (HF) symptoms in atrial fibrillation (AF) patients. We aimed to assess the intra-patient comparison of ventricular function and remodeling as well as leads parameters corresponding to two pacing modalities in AF patients referred for pacing in intermediate term. METHODS Uncontrolled tachycardia AF patients with both leads implantation successfully were randomized to either modality. Echocardiographic measurements, New York Heart Association (NYHA) classification, quality-of-life assessments and leads parameters were obtained at baseline and at each 6-month follow up. Left ventricular function including the left ventricular endosystolic volume (LVESV), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and right ventricular (RV) function quantified by tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion (TAPSE) were all assessed. RESULTS Consecutively twenty-eight patients implanted with both HBP and LBBP leads successfully were enrolled (69.1 ± 8.1 years, 53.6% male, LVEF 59.2% ± 13.7%). The LVESV was improved by both pacing modalities in all patients (n = 23) and the LVEF was improved in patients with baseline LVEF at less than 50% (n = 6). The TAPSE was improved by HBP but not LBBP (n = 23). CONCLUSION In this crossover comparison between HBP and LBBP, LBBP was found to have an equivalent effect on LV function and remodeling but better and more stable parameters in AF patients with uncontrolled ventricular rates referred for atrioventricular node (AVN) ablation. The impact resistant composite has excellent energy absorption efficiency, but the structure and material selection of the composite have great influence on its energy absorption. In order to explore the effect of structure on the energy absorption of Ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) composites and the application potential of new aramid core-spun yarn and new polyester core-spun yarn in impact resistant composites. The UHMWPE composites with different fiber orientations and stacking sequences structure, as well as the new hybrid composites containing aramid core-spun yarn and polyester core-spun yarn were tested by low-velocity impact test and scanning electron microscope (SEM) observation. The differences of energy absorption of UHMWPE composites with different structures and the advantages of the new hybrid composites were analyzed. The results show that the energy absorption of the 45°/0°/90°/45° UHMWPE composite is 15% and 86% higher than that of the 0°/90°/0°/90°UHMWPE composite and the 0°/90°/45°/45° UHMWPE composite, respectively, which is the best structure among the three composites. The energy absorption performance of the composites introduced with aramid core-spun yarn and polyester corespun yarn were improved by 223% and 202%, respectively, so that the energy absorption performance was significantly improved by new yarns. Psoriasis is a chronic, non-communicable, painful, disfiguring and disabling disease for which there is no cure, with great negative impact on patients' quality of life (QoL). Diagnosis and treatment with traditional Chinese medical technique based on syndrome differentiation has been used in practice for a long time and proven effective, though, up to now, there are only a few available studies about the use of semantic technologies and the knowledge systems that use Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)-syndrome differentiation for information retrieval and automated reasoning. In this paper we use semantic techniques based on ontologies to develop a prototypical system for the diagnosis of Psoriasis. For this purpose, a domain ontology is developed for syndrome differentiation of psoriasis vulgaris (PV). This ontology is founded on an adapted version of the general formal ontology (GFO), with the evidence-based clinical practice guideline of TCM for psoriasis vulgaris (Guideline 2013) as the primary data sources. The implemented prototype, called ONTOPV, contains this domain ontology and is aimed at a decision support system for diagnosis and treatment of PV. This system uses a case-database for Case Based Reasoning (CBR), combined with fuzzy pattern recognition. Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are alkaline substances with efficient bactericidal activity produced in living organisms. As the best substitute for antibiotics, they have been paid more and more attention in scientific research and clinical application. AMPs can be produced from almost all organisms and are capable of killing a wide variety of pathogenic microorganisms. In addition to being antibacterial, natural AMPs have many other therapeutically important activities, such as wound healing, antioxidant and immunomodulatory effects. To discover new AMPs, the use of wet experimental methods is expensive and difficult, and bioinformatics technology can effectively solve this problem. Recently, some deep learning methods have been applied to the prediction of AMPs and achieved good results. To further improve the prediction accuracy of AMPs, this paper designs a new deep learning method based on sequence multidimensional representation. By encoding and embedding sequence features, and then inputting the model to identify AMPs, high-precision classification of AMPs and Non-AMPs with lengths of 10-200 is achieved. The results show that our method improved accuracy by 1.05% compared to the most advanced model in independent data validation without decreasing other indicators. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
