Controlling the structure and chemistry of solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) underpins the stability of electrolyte‐electrode interface, and is crucial for advancing rechargeable lithium metal batteries (LMBs). Here, we utilized photo‐controlled copolymerization to achieve the on‐demand synthesis of fluorosulfonyl fluoropolymers as unprecedented artificial SEI layers on Li metal anodes. This work not only enables instant formation of a hybrid polymer‐inorganic interphase that consists of a polymer‐enriched top layer and a LiF‐fortified bottom layer, originating from a single polymeric component, but also imparts various desirable physical properties (e.g. good mechanical strength and flexibility, high ion conductivity, low overpotential) to SEI via a single‐to‐divergent strategy. Model reactions and structural characterizations supported the formation of a divergent fluorinated interphase, which furnished prolonged stabilization of Li deposition, high coulombic efficiency and improved cycling behavior in electrochemical experiments. Background: The triglyceride glucose (TyG) index, as a reliable marker of insulin resistance, is associated with the incidence and poor prognosis of various cardiovascular diseases. However, the relationship between the TyG index and clinical outcomes in patients with severe aortic stenosis (AS) who underwent transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) remains unclear. Methods: This study consecutively enrolled 1569 patients with AS underwent TAVR at West China Hospital of Sichuan University between April 2014 and August 2023. The outcomes of interest included all-cause mortality, cardiovascular mortality, and major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE). Multivariate adjusted Cox regression and restricted cubic splines (RCS) regression analyses were used to assess the associations between the TyG index and the clinical outcomes. The incremental prognostic value of the TyG index was further assessed by the time-dependent Harrell's C-index, integrated discrimination improvement (IDI) and the net reclassification improvement (NRI). Results: During a median follow-up of 1.09 years, there were 146, 70, and 196 patients experienced all-cause death, cardiovascular death, and MACE, respectively. After fully adjusting for confounders, a per-unit increase of TyG index was associated with a 441% (adjusted HR: 5.41, 95% CI: 4.01–7.32), 385% (adjusted HR: 4.85, 95% CI: 3.16–7.43), and 347% (adjusted HR: 4.47, 95% CI: 3.42–5.85) higher risk of all-cause mortality, cardiovascular mortality and MACE, respectively. The RCS regression analyses revealed a linear association between TyG index and endpoints (all P for non-linearity > 0.05) with 8.40 as the optimal binary cutoff point. Furthermore, adding TyG index to the basic risk model provided a significant incremental value in predicting poor prognosis (Time-dependent Harrell's C-index increased for all the endpoints; All-cause mortality, IDI: 0.11, P < 0.001; NRI: 0.32, P < 0.001; Cardiovascular mortality, IDI: 0.043, P < 0.001; NRI: 0.37, P < 0.001; MACE, IDI: 0.092, P < 0.001; NRI: 0.32, P < 0.001). Conclusions: In patients with severe AS receiving TAVR, there was a positive linear relationship between TyG index and poor prognosis, with 8.4 as the optimal bivariate cutoff value. Disulfide‐contained vitrimers that possess unprecedented functions, such as reprocessing and self‐healing, are considered to be one of the most promising materials since they also exhibit mechanochromic behaviors. A few reports have given the phenomenon of mechanochromism, but the relationship between their structure and mechanochromic behavior needed to further research. Herein, three aromatic disulfide‐contained epoxy vitrimers with different degree of unsaturation are prepared by changing the epoxy monomer. The effect of network structure on the dynamic and mechanochromic properties are investigated. With increasing the degree of unsaturation from the aliphatic to aromatic epoxy vitrimers, the Tg‐value increases and the chain mobility decreases, so the aliphatic epoxy vitrimers shows the lowest activation energy, the lowest temperature of malleability Tv, and the shortest relaxation times. In addition, these epoxy vitrimers all showes reversible mechanochromic behaviors due to the generation and coupling of sulfenyl radicals, which can be accelerated by the high temperature and solvent. Meanwhile, the epoxy structure has a great influence on the mechanochromic behavior, including the absorption wavelength and fading kinetics of grinding powders. These results can be utilized to design desired vitrimer materials for various applications that requires both the intrinsically self‐report damage and the dynamic properties such as recycling. Recent years have witnessed the transformative impact from the integration of artificial intelligence with organic and polymer synthesis. This synergy offers innovative and intelligent solutions to a range of classic problems in synthetic chemistry. These exciting advancements include the prediction of molecular property, multi-step retrosynthetic pathway planning, elucidation of the structure-performance relationship of single-step transformation, establishment of the quantitative linkage between polymer structures and their functions, design and optimization of polymerization process, prediction of the structure and sequence of biological macromolecules, as well as automated and intelligent synthesis platforms. Chemists can now explore synthetic chemistry with unprecedented precision and efficiency, creating novel reactions, catalysts, and polymer materials under the data-driven paradigm. Despite these thrilling developments, the field of artificial intelligence (AI) synthetic chemistry is still in its infancy, facing challenges and limitations in terms of data openness, model interpretability, as well as software and hardware support. This review aims to provide an overview of the current progress, key challenges, and future development suggestions in the interdisciplinary field between AI and synthetic chemistry. Background: It has been suggested that gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) alters the growth trajectory of a fetus and increases the risk of abnormal birth weight. In spite of this, there is still a significant debate regarding the mode and optimal timing of diagnosing this condition. Our aim was to determine fetal growth velocity and birth biometry in pregnant women with GDM at varying risk levels. Methods: We conducted a cohort study involving 1023 pregnant women at a maternity hospital in Ma'anshan, China. All women completed an oral glucose tolerance test at 24–28 weeks' gestation. We measured fetal head circumference (HC), femoral length (FL), abdominal circumference (AC), biparietal diameter (BPD), and estimate fetal weight (EFW) by ultrasound at 17, 24, 31, and 35 weeks' gestation, respectively. Results: Overall, 5115 ultrasound scans were performed. Among both low-risk and medium–high-risk pregnant women at 17–24 weeks' gestation, GDM exposure was associated with an increase in fetal growth velocity. Neonates born to women with GDM at medium–high risk had significantly larger birth weights than those born to women without GDM, while this was not observed in women at low risk. Conclusion: In medium–high-risk pregnant women, exposure to GDM has a greater effect on the fetus, leading to abnormal fetal growth velocity that lasts beyond week 24. It is evident from our results that the effects of GDM on fetal growth differ between medium–high-risk pregnant women and low-risk pregnant women, and therefore a different screening program based on the risk factor for GDM is warranted. Xinjiang Qitai is constructing a 110-m fully steerable radio telescope (QiTai radio Telescope [QTT]) equipped with a phased array feeds (PAF) receiver, which will install the focal plane operating from 0.7 to 1.8 GHz. In this article, we introduce a PAF receiver model for beamforming, and the numerical model of the internal and external noise for this PAF receiver is provided using electromagnetic field simulation software. The linear constraint minimum variance (LCMV) algorithm is used to simulate the interference mitigation. The interference mitigation rate is from 0.581 to 0.921, and the signal restoration rate is from 0.998 to 1.512 within the error range of an interference arrival angle of 10°. Cellulose acetate (CA) has found broad applications for many years. However, the development of mechanically strengthened CA materials without losing the processibility in solution remains quite difficult. In this work, novel CA thermosets are reported that can be readily constructed by employing alkyl diboronic acid as a crosslinking agent, which has allowed convenient reconfiguration of CA networks without demanding catalysts or harsh processing conditions. Various properties including thermal stability, creeping resistance, rheological and mechanical strength have been successfully improved by using small amounts (1–5 wt%) of diboronic acid. The dynamic cross‐linked network based on boron chemistry has facilitated solution processing during three times of recycling. Control experiments have shown that alkyl diboronic acid can deliver superior mechanical strength to CA as compared to aryl diboronic acid or single‐arm alkyl boronic acid. The elemental distributions among various phases in vanadium-bearing slags have been quantified toward high-efficiency separation and extraction by calcium roasting using electron probe X-ray microanalysis. The roles of the roasting conditions were clarified, including roasting temperature, roasting time, and calcium amount. It was found that, with increasing roasting temperature, the V2O5 concentration in the target vanadium-enriched phase, predominantly in a form of 2(Ca,Mn)O·V2O5, decreased along with more SiO2 and Fe2O3 in this phase; while, with increasing roasting time, the V2O5 concentration in the vanadium-enriched phase increased due to a more complete reaction. However, a higher calcium addition induced a lower V2O5 concentration in the vanadium-enriched phase and, therefore, a CaO/V2O5 weight ratio of 0.6 was employed. In addition to the vanadium-enriched phase, the solubilities, especially V2O5 in the SiO2 and Fe2O3 solid solutions under varying roasting conditions, were also identified for a reduction of vanadium loss. Based on those quantitative results, the main principles to target to adjust the elemental distributions among various phases during the calcium roasting of vanadium-bearing slags are discussed toward a low-cost and high-efficiency vanadium extraction. Designing an appropriate composition of dephosphorization slag is crucial for effectively reducing phosphorus content in steels and facilitating the development of high-quality steel products. In this study, we conducted dephosphorization equilibrium experiments to elucidate the cationic effect of Ca2+, Fe2+, and Mg2+ on dephosphorization behavior through Raman and 31P MAS-NMR spectroscopy. The results indicate that the addition of CaO, MgO, and FeO induces a consistent transformation from Q2(Si), Q1(Si), and Q1(P) units to Q0(Si) and Q0(P) units, resulting in a reduction in the degree of polymerization of the slag. The dephosphorization rate exhibits a nearly linear increase with CaO and MgO content, reaching its maximum value upon adding 30 mass% FeO. This phenomenon confirms that excessive addition of Fe2+ has an adverse impact on the dephosphorization ability of slag, which can be attributed to a reduced stability of PO4 groups. Moreover, when Fe(II)/(Mg + Ca) is within 0.5, increasing NBO of molten slag is beneficial for improving dephosphorization rate. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Systematic reviews (SRs) could offer the best evidence supporting interventions, but methodological flaws limit their trustworthiness in decision-making. This cross-sectional study appraised the methodological quality of SRs on atopic dermatitis (AD) treatments. Methods: We searched MEDLINE, EMBASE, PsycINFO, and Cochrane Database for SRs on AD treatments published in 2019–2022. We extracted SRs’ bibliographical data and appraised SRs’ methodological quality with AMSTAR (A MeaSurement Tool to Assess systematic Reviews) 2. We explored associations between methodological quality and bibliographical characteristics. Results: Among the 52 appraised SRs, only one (1.9%) had high methodological quality, while 45 (86.5%) critically low. For critical domains, only five (9.6%) employed comprehensive search strategy, seven (13.5%) provided list of excluded studies, 17 (32.7%) considered risk of bias in primary studies, 21 (40.4%) contained registered protocol, and 24 (46.2%) investigated publication bias. Cochrane reviews, SR updates, SRs with European corresponding authors, and SRs funded by European institutions had better overall quality. Impact factor and author number positively associated with overall quality. Conclusions: Methodological quality of SRs on AD treatments is unsatisfactory. Future reviewers should improve the above critical methodological aspects. User–item bipartite graphs and knowledge graphs are frequently employed in recommender systems due to their ability to provide rich information for user and item modeling. However, existing recommender systems predominantly focus on modeling either the user or item individually, with few studies simultaneously considering both aspects. In this paper, we propose a novel double-ended recommendation model, DEKGCI, which aims to fully leverage the advantages of these two information sources. Specifically, DEKGCI harnesses the high-order connectivity information in the user–item bipartite graph to extract user representations, while utilizing the semantic information in the knowledge graph to enrich item representations. By doing so, DEKGCI concurrently learns both user and item representations, effectively capturing the intricate interaction information between users and items. The DEKGCI model was evaluated on three real-world datasets. Computational results demonstrate the high effectiveness of the proposed DEKGCI model compared to seven state-of-the-art reference methods from the literature. In particular, compared to the best-performing KFGAN model, DEKGCI achieved AUC gains of 0.335% in movie recommendations, and F1 gains of 0.023%, 2.203%, and 0.530% in movie, book, and music recommendations, respectively. The automated generation of geometry proof problems represents a burgeoning research domain in the realm of artificial intelligence, with significant practical implications for mathematics education. In this study, we present a method for automatically generating fresh geometry proof questions by adapting existing ones. The core of the approach is a novel representation model for geometry proof problems, which we term “point geometry identity". According to this model, the premises and conclusion to be proven in a geometry proof problem, as well as their relationships, can be expressed as an expression. Subsequently, by applying equivalent deformation principles of algebraic expressions, we can modify the premises and conclusions of existing problems to generate new ones. Experimental analysis and expert evaluations indicate that our approach can efficiently generate a substantial number of diverse problems suitable for mathematics education within a short span of time. Sex is a crucial biological variable, and influence of biological sex on the change of gene expression in ageing skeletal muscle has not yet been fully revealed. In this study, the mRNA expression profiles were obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus database. Key genes were identified by differential expression analysis and weighted gene co-expression network analysis. The gene set enrichment analysis software and Molecular Signatures Database were used for functional and enrichment analysis. A protein–protein interaction network was constructed using STRING and visualized in Cytoscape. The results were compared between female and male subgroups. Differentially expressed genes and enriched pathways in different sex subgroups shared only limited similarities. The pathways enriched in the female subgroup were more similar to the pathways enriched in the older groups without taking sex difference into consideration. The pathways enriched in the female subgroup were more similar to the pathways enriched in the older groups without taking sex difference into consideration. The muscle myosin filament pathways were downregulated in the both aged female and male samples whereas transforming growth factor beta pathway and extracellular matrix-related pathways were upregulated. With muscle ageing, the metabolism-related pathways, protein synthesis and degradation pathways, results of predicted immune cell infiltration, and gene cluster associated with slow-type myofibers drastically different between the female and male subgroups. Urinary incontinence is a common disease among middle-aged and elderly women, which not only affects the physical and mental health of patients, but also brings a great medical burden to society. Obesity is a known risk factor for urinary incontinence and is the most common secondary cause of hyperlipidemia. Most obese patients also suffer from hyperlipidemia in the clinic. However, few studies have explored the role of hyperlipidemia in women with urinary incontinence. Using data from the 2005–2018 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), we aimed to evaluated the independent associations of high body mass index and hyperlipidemia with urinary incontinence in Americans by conducting a weighted multivariate logistic regression model. Additive interactions were also assessed using the relative excess risk due to interaction (RERI), attributed proportion of interaction (AP) and synergy index (S). This study demonstrated that hyperlipidemia was associated with a higher risk of stress urinary incontinence among women with obesity (OR = 1.52, 95% CI = 1.03–2.25), and there was a significant synergistic effect of hyperlipidemia and obesity on stress urinary incontinence(adjusted RERI: 3.75, 95% CI 0.30–7.20; adjusted AP: 0.67, 95% CI 0.54–0.80; adjusted S: 5.49, 95% CI 4.15–7.27). Moreover, fasting serum triglyceride lipids were the most relevant blood lipid indicator for the risk of stress urinary incontinence, especially among obese women younger than 50 years old, which contributes to the development of more refined lipid control protocols for patients with urinary incontinence in different age groups. Background: Increasing evidence suggests that pregnancy loss can lead to negative emotional outcomes, such as anxiety and depression, for women. However, limited knowledge exists regarding the long-term risk of mental disorders among individuals who have experienced pregnancy loss. Objective: To investigate the associations between pregnancy loss and the risk of common mental disorders. Methods: In the UK Biobank, a total of 218,990 women without any mental disorder at baseline were enrolled between 2006 and 2010 and followed until October 2022. Information on the history of pregnancy loss was obtained through self-reported questionnaires at baseline. Cox proportional hazard regression models were used to estimate adjusted hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for associations between pregnancy loss and common mental disorders. Results: During a median follow-up time of 13.36 years, there were 26,930 incident cases of common mental disorders. Incidence rates of common mental disorders were elevated among women with a history of stillbirth (HR 1.15, 95% CI: 1.07-1.23), miscarriage (HR 1.06, 95% CI: 1.02-1.10), or pregnancy termination (HR 1.21, 95% CI: 1.17-1.25) compared to those without such experiences. Furthermore, the risk of common mental disorders significantly increased in women with two or more miscarriages (HR 1.14, 95% CI: 1.08-1.19) or two or more pregnancy terminations (HR 1.39, 95% CI: 1.30-1.48). Conclusions: Pregnancy loss is associated with an increased risk of common mental disorders in women later in life. Background: Tricuspid regurgitation (TR) is a prevalent disease that triggers systemic pathological changes including cardiac, respiratory, hepatic and digestive, hematopoietic, renal and skin issues. The burden of extra-cardiac manifestations has not been well described in TR patients and the clinical impact is unknown. Methods: Patients with severe or more-than-severe TR during hospitalization, who did not have any previous cardiac procedures, hemodynamically significant congenital heart disease or concomitant severe aortic or mitral valve disease, were retrospectively analyzed. Pre-specified criteria and diagnosis of baseline characteristics were used to evaluate the presence of extra-cardiac manifestations secondary to TR after excluding comorbidities that may also lead to corresponding abnormalities. Extra-cardiac involvements encompass respiratory, hepatic and, digestive, renal, hematopoietic and dermatic system. Staging criteria are defined as no extra-cardiac system involvement in Stage 1, one in Stage 2, at least two extra-cardiac involvements in Stage 3 and any end-stage organ failure in Stage 4. A telephone follow-up was conducted to record the composite endpoint namely all-cause death or cardiac rehospitalization after the index hospitalization. Results: A total of 258 patients were identified with a median age of 73 (interquartile range [IQR]: 62–83) years and 52.3% were female. Severe TR and more-than-severe TR patients accounted for 92.6% and 7.4% of the cohort. There were 20.5%, 27.5%, 37.6% and 14.3% of patients from Stage 1 to 4 respectively. The follow-up time was at a median of 251 (IQR: 183–324) days. TR Patients in Stage 3&4 were at an increased risk with borderline statistical significance to experience the composite endpoint compared to patients in Stage 1&2 (odds ratio [OR] 1.9, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.0 to 3.7, P = 0.049). Conclusions: Approximately half of patients with at least severe TR presented with two or more extra-cardiac systemic manifestations, which may incur a 1.9-fold higher risk of all-cause death or cardiac rehospitalization than TR patients with one or less extra-cardiac involvement. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) poses significant challenges to public health and healthcare systems, demanding a comprehensive understanding of its progressive nature. Prior methods have often fallen short in capturing the dynamic and individual variability of renal function. This study aims to address this gap by introducing a novel approach for the individualized assessment of CKD progression. A cohort of 1042 patients, comprising 700 with stage 3a and 342 with stage 3b to stage 5 CKD, treated at a veteran general hospital in Taiwan from 2006 to 2019, was included in the study. A comprehensive dataset spanning 12 years, consisting of clinical measurements, was collected and analyzed using joint models to predict the progression to hemodialysis treatment. The study reveals that the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) can be considered an endogenous factor influenced by innate biochemical markers. Serum creatinine, blood pressure, and urinary protein excretion emerged as valuable factors for predicting CKD progression. The joint model, combining longitudinal and survival analyses, demonstrated predictive versatility across various CKD severities. This innovative approach enhances conventional models by concurrently incorporating both longitudinal and survival analyses and provides a nuanced understanding of the variables influencing renal function in CKD patients. This personalized model enables a more precise assessment of renal failure risk, tailored to each patient's unique clinical profile. Aphis spiraecola Patch is one of the most economically important tree fruit pests worldwide. The pyrethroid insecticide lambda-cyhalothrin is commonly used to control A. spiraecola. In this 2-year study, we quantified the resistance level of A. spiraecola to lambda-cyhalothrin in different regions of the Shaanxi province, China. The results showed that A. spiraecola had reached extremely high resistance levels with a 174-fold resistance ratio (RR) found in the Xunyi region. In addition, we compared the enzymatic activity and expression level of P450 genes among eight A. spiraecola populations. The P450 activity of A. spiraecola was significantly increased in five regions (Xunyi, Liquan, Fengxiang, Luochuan, and Xinping) compared to susceptible strain (SS). The expression levels of CYP6CY7 , CYP6CY14 , CYP6CY22, P4504C1-like , P4506a13 , CYP4CZ1 , CYP380C47, and CYP4CJ2 genes were significantly increased under lambda-cyhalothrin treatment and in the resistant field populations. A L1014F mutation in the sodium channel gene was found and the mutation rate was positively correlated with the LC50 of lambda-cyhalothrin. In conclusion, the levels of lambda-cyhalothrin resistance of A. spiraecola field populations were associated with P450s and L1014F mutations. Our combined findings provide evidence on the resistance mechanism of A. spiraecola to lambda-cyhalothrin and give a theoretical basis for rational and effective control of this pest species. In this study, we clarified the elemental migrations among various phases in vanadium-bearing slags modified using V2O3, CaO and "FeO" at 1380 °C, where the main methodology included high temperature experiments, quenching and electron probe X-ray microanalysis. We quantified the oxide distributions between the spinel and the liquid phases, including the major oxides such as "FeO", CaO, SiO2, V2O3 and Cr2O3, etc., and the minor oxides such as Al2O3, MnO and MgO, etc. We first found that V2O3 and Cr2O3 were mainly present in the spinel phase, determining the primary phase of this system. With an increasing total V2O3 content, the V2O3 concentration in the spinel phase remarkably increased, and the Cr2O3 concentration decreased; while those in the liquid phase remained at a low level. More CaO induced an increasing V2O3 concentration in the liquid phase moved from the spinel phase, and correspondingly the Cr2O3 concentration in the spinel phase increased. In comparison, "FeO" mainly affected the chemical compositions of the spinel phase but not the liquid phase, i.e., with an increasing total "FeO" content, the "FeO" concentration in the spinel phase gradually increased at the cost of V2O3 and Cr2O3. Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is associated with high mortality and disability rates, and secondary white matter injury is an important cause of poor prognosis. However, whether brain capillary pericytes can directly affect the differentiation and maturation of oligodendrocyte precursor cells (OPCs) and subsequently affect white matter injury repair has still been revealed. This study was designed to investigate the effect of tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-3 (TIMP-3) for OPC differentiation and maturation. PDGFRβret/ret and wild-type C57B6J male mice were used to construct a mouse model of SAH via endovascular perforation in this study. Mice were also treated with vehicle, TIMP-3 RNAi or TIMP-3 RNAi + TIMP-3 after SAH. The effect of TIMP-3 on the differentiation and maturation of OPCs was determined using behavioral score, ELISA, transmission electron microscopy, immunofluorescence staining and cell culture. We found that TIMP-3 was secreted mainly by pericytes and that SAH and TIMP-3 RNAi caused a significant decrease in the TIMP-3 content, reaching a nadir at 24 h, followed by gradual recovery. In vitro, the myelin basic protein content of oligodendrocytes after oxyhemoglobin treatment was increased by TIMP-3 overexpression. The data indicates TIMP-3 could promote the differentiation and maturation of OPCs and subsequently improve neurological outcomes after SAH. The experiment aimed to explore the impact of aerobic exercise on the abundance and function of intestinal microbiota in the small intestine of Tan sheep in fattening period. Sixty female Tan sheep lambs with a weaning weight of (16 ± 2) kg were selected and randomly divided into three groups, with 20 lambs in each group. Tan sheep in the group 1 exercised daily for 8~10 km, Tan sheep in the group 2 exercised daily for 4~6 km, and the Tan sheep in the control group were in the barn. The experiment lasted for 130 days. The results showed that compared to the control group, the number of operational taxonomic units (OTUs) in the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum of Tan sheep in the group 1 increased. Compared to the control group, the relative abundance of Proteobacteria in the duodenum and Actinobacteria in the jejunum of Tan sheep in the group 1 significantly increased (P<0.05), and the relative abundance of Actinobacteria in the ileum of Tan sheep in the group 2 significantly increased (P<0.05). Compared to the control group, the relative abundance of Ruminococcus in the duodenum of Tan sheep in the group 2 significantly decreased (P<0.05), and the abundance of Solobacterium in the duodenum of Tan sheep in the group 1 and group 2 decreased extremely (P<0.01). Compared to the control group, the relative abundance of Bacteroides, Clostridium, and Escherichia-Shigella in the jejunum and ileum of Tan sheep in the group 1 significantly decreased (P<0.05), and the relative abundance of Bacteroides in the jejunum of Tan sheep in the group 2 extremely decreased (P<0.01). The study suggests that daily aerobic exercise of 8~10 km during the fattening period can enhance the diversity of intestinal microbiota in Tan sheep, increase the abundance of beneficial bacteria, reduce the abundance of harmful bacteria, and improve the overall health of the small intestine. Purpose: Temperature changes unfavorably impact on cardiovascular disease. However, the association between temperature changes and coronary artery disease (CAD) is not well documented. This study aimed to explore the association between daily mean temperature and daily CAD hospital admissions on the southeast coast of China (Fuzhou City). Methods: A total of 1883 CAD patients who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention between 2017 and 2019 were obtained. The severity of CAD was evaluated by the Gensini score. Distributed lag non-linear model (DLNM) combined with a quasi-Poisson regression model was used to examine the delayed effect between daily mean temperature and daily CAD hospital admissions. Stratified analyses were performed by Gensini score and severity of lesions. The relative risk (RR) with a 95% confidence interval (CI) was used to assess the relationship. Results: Extreme cold (8°C) (RR=0.49, 95% CI: 0.25– 0.99) and moderate cold (10°C) (RR=0.56, 95% CI: 0.31– 0.99) daily mean temperature with a lag of 0– 20 days were correlated with lower risk of daily CAD hospital admissions. Moderate heat (30°C) (RR=1.80, 95% CI: 1.01– 3.20) and extreme heat (32°C) (RR=2.02, 95% CI: 1.01– 4.04) daily mean temperature with a lag of 0– 20 days related to a higher risk of daily CAD hospital admissions. Similar results were observed for daily mean temperature with a lag of 0– 25 days. Stratified analysis showed the lagged effect of daily mean temperature (lag 0, 0– 5, 0– 15, 0– 20, and 0– 25 days) on the daily CAD hospital admissions was observed only in patients with a Gensini score ≤ 39 (tertile 1). How to automatically generate short and easy-to-understand proofs for geometric theorems has long been an issue of concern in mathematics education. A novel automated geometric theorem proving method based on complex number identities is proposed in this paper, which acts as a bridge between geometry and algebra. According to the proposed method, the geometric relations in the given proposition are first transformed into a complex number expression, then the complex number identity is generated by the elimination method; finally, the closure property under all four operations of real numbers is employed to prove the proposition. Zymomonas mobilis is regarded as a potential chassis for the production of platform chemicals. Genome editing using the CRISPR-Cas system could meet the need for gene modification in metabolic engineering. However, the low curing efficiency of CRISPR editing plasmid is a common bottleneck in Z. mobilis. In this study, we utilized a theophylline-dependent riboswitch to regulate the expression of the replicase gene of the editing plasmid, thereby promoting the elimination of exogeneous plasmid. The riboswitch D (RSD) with rigorous regulatory ability was identified as the optimal candidate by comparing the transformation efficiency of four theophylline riboswitch-based backbone editing plasmids, and the optimal theophylline concentration for inducing RSD was determined to be 2 mM. A highly effective method for eliminating the editing plasmid, cells with RSD-based editing plasmid which were cultured in liquid and solid RM media in alternating passages at 37 °C without shaking, was established by testing the curing efficiency of backbone editing plasmids pMini and pMini-RSD in RM medium with or without theophylline at 30 °C or 37 °C. Finally, the RSD-based editing plasmid was applied to genome editing, resulting in an increase of more than 10% in plasmid elimination efficiency compared to that of pMini-based editing plasmid. Objective: This study primarily aimed to analyze the levels of THBS2 in the serum of patients diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and subsequently evaluate its potential as a diagnostic biomarker for NSCLC. Methods: Serum samples were collected from 150 diagnosed NSCLC patients and 150 healthy individuals. The THBS2 concentration in these samples was determined using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The study also investigated the correlation between THBS2 levels and various clinicopathological characteristics in NSCLC patients. The diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of serum THBS2 for NSCLC were assessed using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves and their corresponding area under the curve (AUC). Results: Serum THBS2 levels in NSCLC patients were significantly elevated compared to those in healthy individuals. THBS2 levels showed a significant correlation with tumor differentiation grade, tumor size, TNM stage, lymph node metastasis, and distant metastasis. No significant correlation was identified between serum THBS2 levels and other parameters such as gender, age, height, weight, BMI, smoking history, and tumor histological type. At a cutoff value of 7.62 ng/mL, THBS2 could effectively differentiate NSCLC patients from healthy individuals, with a sensitivity of 85.31% and a specificity of 88.92%. The AUC for NSCLC diagnosis using THBS2 was 0.812, significantly surpassing the performance of traditional tumor markers tested, including CEA (0.728), and CYFRA 21‑1 (0.685). Conclusions: Elevated serum THBS2 levels in NSCLC patients suggest its potential as a novel and reliable diagnostic biomarker for NSCLC. To determine the association between all-cause mortality and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) in patients with idiopathic cardiomyopathy (iDCM). LDL-C had long been considered as a dangerous predictor of cardiovascular diseases; however, the correlation between them was not fully clarified. A total of 1058 patients who met the World Health Organization criteria for iDCM in West China Hospital (2009–2016) were enrolled in this retrospective study. Baseline demographic characteristics and correlations between variables were calculated and analyzed, and potential predictors were explored using univariate and multivariate regressions. Cox proportional hazards models were used to determine correlation on a continuous scale. LDL-C is an independent prognostic factor and higher LDL-C levels are associated with better prognosis in iDCM patients according to cox regression analysis. Compared with individuals which LDL > 2.28 mmol/L (75th–100th percentile), the multivariable-adjusted hazard ratio for all-cause mortality was 1.52 (95%CI: 1.03–2.26) in patients with LDL-C < 1.78 mmol/L (0–25th percentile). In patients with New York Heart Association function III and IV, LDL-C levels have a hazard ratio of 0.83 (confidence interval 0.73–0.95). In patients with iDCM, lower LDL-C level was associated with an increased risk of all-cause mortality. The correlation between mortality and LDL-C level was stronger in patients with worse heart function. LDL-C levels have a potential predictive value in iDCM patients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) has recently emerged as an effective treatment for patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis. Accurate prediction of postoperative conduction disturbance after TAVR is crucial for successful surgery planning. Most current risk prediction models for conduction disturbance rely on monomodal data methods, such as images. However, predicting conduction disturbance based on multimodal features becomes a challenge. We propose a new memory-augmented graph neural network (MemGCN) to deal with this challenge. The GCN in the proposed network is constructed by taking the patient's image features as nodes' features and creating the edges based on the patient's clinical features, thus effectively fusing the patients' images and clinical feature information. Moreover, the traditional GCN model trains feature extractors and GCNs independently due to limited computing resources, which can negatively impact the feature learning process. We introduce the memory bank and propose a local update learning algorithm to address this issue. Specifically, the proposed method connects the feature extractors and GCN through a memory bank. The CNN module extracts patients' features from their ECG images and updates the memory bank. The GCN constructs the graph using the patients' characteristics in the memory bank as node features. In this way, the node features are cached in the memory bank and gradually updated at each optimization iteration so that the feature extractors and GCN are optimized jointly. The experiments on a real-world TAVR dataset show the proposed method's superior performance. It improves the prediction accuracy by over 4 % compared to the traditional GCN model. Furthermore, to demonstrate the applicability of our proposed method to other multimodal data analysis tasks, we evaluate the performance of the proposed method on an ocular disease intelligent recognition benchmark. Urogenital congenital anomalies (UCAs) is defined as "any live-birth with a urinary or genital condition" and affects millions of men and women worldwide. However, sex differences and related environmental risk factors in UCAs burden on a global scale have not been assessed. Using data from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study (GBD) 2019, we estimated prevalence, incidence, mortality and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) of UCAs from 1990 to 2019 by sex, region, and socio-demographic Index (SDI) in 204 countries and territories. The disease burden of UCAs was also estimated attributable to each risk factor were estimated according to risk exposure. In 2019, UCAs caused 10,200 all-ages deaths (95% UI 7550–13,400). The combined global incidence rate was 8.38 per 1000 (95% UI 5.88–12.0) live births. The ASIR increased slightly, while the ASDR decreased from 1990 to 2019.The UCAs burden varies greatly depending on the development level and geographical location. The UCAs burden was significantly higher in men than in women, and the sex differences showed an enlarging trend. Health risks and issues, including pollution, child and maternal malnutrition, diet habits, unsafe sanitation and water source, were detected to be positively related to UCAs burden. Albeit the age-standardised prevalence, mortality, incidence, and DALYs of UCAs have decreased, they still cause a public health challenge worldwide. The high deaths and DALYs rates in low and low-middle SDI countries highlight the urgent need for improved preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic measures. Cellulose acetate (CA) is an important group of polymeric materials that have found broad applications. However, the narrow range of processing temperature causes difficulties to improve the mechanical properties of CA. In this work, poly(4‐pinacolatoborylstyrene) (PB) was synthesized and employed as a macromolecular cross‐linker for CA. Due to the dynamic coordination interaction between the boron center and hydroxyl groups on PB and CA, respectively, CA samples could be easily handled via the solution processing method. The addition of macromolecular PB additives (2.5 wt%) have successfully enhanced the mechanical properties, rheological properties of CA without losing the transparent appearance. Background: Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a chronic fatal disease with limited therapeutic options. The infiltration of monocytes and fibroblasts into the injured lungs is implicated in IPF. Enolase-1 (ENO1) is a cytosolic glycolytic enzyme which could translocate onto the cell surface and act as a plasminogen receptor to facilitate cell migration via plasmin activation. Our proprietary ENO1 antibody, HL217, was screened for its specific binding to ENO1 and significant inhibition of cell migration and plasmin activation (patent: US9382331B2). Methods: In this study, effects of HL217 were evaluated in vivo and in vitro for treating lung fibrosis. Results: Elevated ENO1 expression was found in fibrotic lungs in human and in bleomycin-treated mice. In the mouse model, HL217 reduced bleomycin-induced lung fibrosis, inflammation, body weight loss, lung weight gain, TGF-β upregulation in bronchial alveolar lavage fluid (BALF), and collagen deposition in lung. Moreover, HL217 reduced the migration of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) and the recruitment of myeloid cells into the lungs. In vitro, HL217 significantly reduced cell-associated plasmin activation and cytokines secretion from primary human PBMC and endothelial cells. In primary human lung fibroblasts, HL217 also reduced cell migration and collagen secretion. Conclusions: These findings suggest multi-faceted roles of cell surface ENO1 and a potential therapeutic approach for pulmonary fibrosis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aim: To determine whether and how rheumatoid arthritis (RA), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and systemic sclerosis (SSc) affect outcomes in patients admitted for hemorrhagic stroke. Methods: This study screened the Nationwide Inpatient Sample database for adults aged ≥20 years admitted to US hospitals with a principal diagnosis of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) between 2005 and 2018. Diagnoses were determined using the International Classification of Diseases, 9th and 10th revisions (ICD‐9 and ICD‐10) diagnostic codes for ICH (ICD‐9: 431, 432; ICD‐10: I61, I62). Study outcomes were: (1) in‐hospital mortality; (2) unfavorable discharge, defined as transfer to nursing homes or long‐term care facilities; and (3) prolonged length of stay (LOS), defined as LOS >75th centile. Results: Associations between comorbid RA, SLE, and SSc and clinical outcomes show a significantly lower risk of in‐hospital mortality and prolonged LOS in RA patients. After admissions for ICH, the risk for in‐hospital mortality and prolonged LOS was decreased in RA patients, and the risk for unfavorable discharge (long‐term care) was reduced in SLE patients. Conclusions: Among patients admitted to US hospitals for hemorrhagic stroke, patients with RA had decreased risk for in‐hospital mortality and prolonged LOS. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is characterized by involuntary urine leakage in response to increased abdominal pressure, such as coughing, laughing, or sneezing. It significantly affects women's quality of life and imposes a substantial disease burden. While pregnancy and childbirth have been previously identified as risk factors for SUI, educational attainment may also play a role. Therefore, this paper investigates the causal relationship between educational attainment and SUI using two-sample Mendelian randomization (TSMR) analysis, years of schooling (YOS), and college or university degree (CUD) as proxies. Methods: Summary statistics of YOS, CUD, and SUI were obtained from genome-wide association studies (GWAS), and TSMR analysis was applied to explore potential causal relationships between them. Causal effects were mainly estimated using the standard inverse variance weighting (IVW) method, and complementary and sensitivity analyses were also performed using multiple methods. Results: The results indicate that both YOS (OR = 0.994, 95% CI: 0.992–0.996; P = 7.764E-10) and CUD (OR = 0.987, 95% CI: 0.983–0.991; P = 1.217E-09) may have a negative causal effect on SUI. Conclusions: Improving educational attainment may go some way towards reducing the risk of SUI. In the basic cloud service delivery model, since SaaS (Software as a Service) is located at the application layer, if a relatively complete cloud service credibility comprehensive evaluation framework can be established from the perspective of SaaS cloud service consumers and combined with their trust context, it can not only effectively solve the trust problem between cloud service consumers (CSC) and cloud service provider (CSP), but also has very important practical significance for the popularization and promotion of SaaS service applications. The credibility evaluation of SaaS services in cloud computing environment is often considered as a multi-attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problem. In this paper, the grey relational analysis (GRA) method is extended to the single-valued neutrosophic sets (SVNSs) setting to deal with MAGDM with incomplete weight information. First, the SVNSs are reviewed. In addition, the single-valued neutrosophic number GRA (SVNN-GRA) is established for MAGDM with incomplete weight information, and the computational steps for all designs are listed. Finally, the credibility evaluation of SaaS services in cloud computing environment is given to demonstrate the SVNN-GRA model and some comparative analysis is done to demonstrate the SVNN-GRA. Background: The evidence of breast-conserving therapy (BCT) applied in centrally located breast cancer (CLBC) is absent. This study aims to investigate the long-term survival of breast-conserving therapy (BCT) in centrally located breast cancer (CLBC) compared with mastectomy in CLBC and BCT in non-CLBC. Methods: Two hundred ten thousand four hundred nine women with unilateral T1-2 breast cancer undergoing BCT or mastectomy were identified from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database. Kaplan–Meier survival curves were assessed via log-rank test. Propensity score matching (PSM) was used to balance baseline features, and the multivariable Cox model was used to estimate the adjusted hazard ratio [HR] and its 95% confidence interval [CI] for breast cancer-specific survival (BCSS) and overall survival (OS). Results: With a median follow-up of 91 months, the BCSS and OS rates in patients who received BCT were greater than those patients treated with mastectomy in the entire CLBC set. Multivariable Cox analyses showed that CLBC patients who received BCT had better BCSS (HR = 0.67, 95%CI: 0.55–0.80, p < 0.001) and OS (HR = 0.78, 95%CI: 0.68–0.90, p = 0.001) than patients who received a mastectomy, but there were no significant differences of BCSS (HR = 0.65, 95%CI: 0.47–0.90, p = 0.009) and OS (HR = 0.82, 95%CI: 0.65–1.04, p = 0.110) after PSM. In patients treated with BCT, CLBC patients had a similar BCSS (HR = 0.99, 95%CI: 0.87–1.12, p = 0.850) but a worse OS (HR = 1.09, 95%CI: 1.01–1.18, p = 0.040) compared to that of the non-CLBC patient, but there was no significant difference both BCSS (HR = 1.05, 95%CI: 0.88–1.24, p = 0.614) and OS (HR = 1.08, 95%CI: 0.97–1.20, p = 0.168) after PSM. Conclusion: Our findings revealed that BCT should be an acceptable and preferable alternative to mastectomy for well-selected patients with CLBC. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
