This paper presents a numerical approach to solve fuzzy partial differential equation restrict to fuzzy boundary and initial conditions. The numerical solution to this problem is obtained by the finite difference method considering a particular type of fuzzy arithmetic called J 0 -interactive arithmetic. A study of the computational cost of the method is presented, as well as a comparison with the numerical solution obtained by the standard fuzzy arithmetic, which is associated with the Zadeh's extension principle. In this work, we study a nonlocal erosion equation, which simulates the process of nanorelief formation. For a periodic boundary-value problem for the functional differential equation with partial derivatives, we examine local bifurcations in the cases where homogeneous equilibrium states change their stability. The paper is devoted to the study of the smoothness of generalized solutions of the first boundary-value problem for a strongly elliptic functional differential equation containing orthotropic contraction transformations of the arguments of the unknown function in the leading part. The problem is considered in a disc, the coefficients of the equation are constant. Orthotropic contraction is understood as different contraction in different variables. Conditions for the conservation of smoothness on the boundaries of neighboring subdomains formed by the action of the contraction transformation group onto the disc are found in explicit form for any right-hand side from the Lebesgue space. The stability of systems of linear autonomous functional differential equations of neutral type is studied. The study is based on the well-known representation of the solution in the form of an integral operator, the kernel of which is the Cauchy function of the equation under study. The definitions of Lyapunov, asymptotic, and exponential stability are formulated in terms of the corresponding properties of the Cauchy function, which allows us to clarify a number of traditional concepts without loss of generality. Along with the concept of asymptotic stability, a new concept of strong asymptotic stability is introduced. The main results are related to the stability with respect to the initial function from the spaces of summable functions. In particular, it is established that strong asymptotic stability with initial data from the space L1 is equivalent to the exponential estimate of the Cauchy function and, moreover, exponential stability with respect to initial data from the spaces Lp for any p ≥ 1. In this research paper, we investigate the existence and uniqueness of solutions for neutral functional differential equations with sequential fractional orders, specifically involving the G -Caputo operator. To obtain the desired results, we employ the Banach fixed point theorem (BFPT), a nonlinear variation of the Leray-Schauder fixed point theorem (SFPT), and the Krasnoselski fixed point theorem (KFPT). The article starts from the challenge of the critical cases in difference operator stability for neutral functional differential equations (NFDE). Such cases occur in the NFDE associated to 1D$$ 1D $$ hyperbolic partial differential equations (PDE) dynamics in mechanical and hydraulic engineering. For some of such applications it resulted that the aforementioned critical (nonasymptotic) stability is connected to the character and level of the energy losses. It is shown that suitable choice of the losses to be taken into account can remove the critical stability properties and give the difference operator the asymptotic stability thus ensuring asymptotic stability for the system's dynamics and also other asymptotic properties. The partial neutral functional fractional differential equation described by the fractional operator is considered in the present investigation. The used fractional operator is the Caputo derivative. In the present paper, the fractional resolvent operators have been defined and used to prove the existence of the unique solution of the fractional neutral differential equations. In this work, we proposed some generalized Darbo type fixed point theorem by employing the concept of generalized operators and measure of non-compactness within the framework of partial order Banach spaces. Some fixed point theorems and their consequences are presented as part of our exploration. These theorems encompass the presentation of various fixed point theorems and the subsequent implications they entail. Further, we demonstrate the practical application of our findings by establishing the existence of solutions for delay differential equations. To substantiate our conclusions, we provide numerical estimations based on a real-world example. After extensive examination, scholars have determined that many dynamic systems exhibit intricate connections not only with their current and past states but also with the delay function itself. As a result, their focus shifts towards fractional neutral stochastic differential equations, which find applications in diverse fields such as biology, physics, signal processing, economics, and others. The fundamental principles of existence and uniqueness of solutions to differential equations, which guarantee the presence of a solution and its uniqueness for a specified equation, are pivotal in both the mathematical and physical realms. Applying contraction mapping principles, we present results concerning the concepts of existence and uniqueness for the solutions of fractional neutral stochastic differential equations. The problem of stabilizing an unstable highly nonlinear hybrid neutral stochastic functional differential equation with infinite delay (HNSFDEwID) is addressed in this article. The objective of this study is to propose a discrete‐time feedback control (DTFC) approach for stabilizing the original system. Sufficient conditions are derived for the existence and uniqueness of the system's solution, as well as its boundedness, prerequisites for studying the system's dynamic behavior. Four distinct criteria for stabilizing the controlled system are provided, including H∞$$ {H}_{\infty } $$ stabilization, asymptotic stabilization, exponential stabilization, and almost surely exponentially stabilization. Additionally, the upper limit of the time interval for discrete observations is calculated based on these criteria. Finally, the proposed theory is validated through an illustrative example. In this case, the boundary conditions contain higher-order time derivatives of the unknown functions. The initial-boundary value problem models the rotation of a mechanical system consisting of two rigid bodies connected by an elastic rod. The rotation is considered around the center of mass of one of the rigid bodies and carried out by a moment of external forces (control torque) applied to the axis of rotation of the rigid body. For the initial-boundary value problem, we introduce the concept of a generalized solution and prove theorems on the existence and uniqueness of a generalized solution and on the well-posedness of the problem formulation. We solve problems of optimal control of the rotation of a mechanical system from the initial state to the final state at a given point in time, minimizing the value of the control torque and minimizing the energy functional of the control torque. In this formulation, we also solve the performance problems under restrictions on the value of the control torque and on the value of the energy integral of the control torque. We study a problem of damping a control system described by functional-differential equations of natural order and neutral type with nonsmooth complex coefficients on an arbitrary tree with global delay. The latter means that the delay propagates through internal vertices of the tree. Minimization of the energy functional of the system leads to a variational problem. We establish its equivalence to a certain self-adjoint boundary value problem on the tree for equations of order with nonlocal quasi-derivatives and multidirectional shifts of the argument as well as Kirchhoff-type conditions emerging at the internal vertices. This article delves into the behavior of solutions to a general class of functional differential equations that contain a neutral delay argument. This category encompasses the half-linear case and the multiple-delay case of neutral equations. The motivation to study this type of equation lies not only in the exciting analytical issues it presents but also in its numerous vital applications in physics and biology. We improved some of the inequalities that play a crucial role in developing the oscillation test. Then, we used an improved technique to derive several criteria that ensure the oscillation of the solutions of the studied equation. Additionally, we established a criterion that did not require imposing monotonic constraints on the delay functions and took into account their effect. This paper presents novel criteria for investigating the oscillatory behavior of even-order neutral differential equations. By employing a comparative approach, we established the oscillation properties of the studied equation through comparisons with well-understood first-order equations with known oscillatory behavior. This article is devoted to studying a new class of nonlinear coupled systems of fractional differential equations supplemented with nonlocal integro-coupled boundary conditions and affected by infinite delay. We first transform the boundary value problem into a fixed-point problem, and, with the aid of the theory of infinite delay, we assume an appropriate phase space to deal with the obtained problem. Then, the existence result of solutions to the given system is investigated by employing Schaefer's fixed-point theorem, while the uniqueness result is established in view of the Banach contraction mapping principle. In this manuscript, under the matrix measure and some sufficient conditions, we will overcame all difficulties and challenges related to the fundamental matrix for a generalized nonlinear neutral functional differential equations in matrix form with multiple delays. We study inverse spectral problems for Dirac-type functional-differential operators with two constant delays greater than two fifths the length of the interval, under Dirichlet boundary conditions. The inverse problem of recovering operators from four spectra has been studied. We consider cases when delays are greater or less than half the length of the interval. In this work, we mainly focus on the local existence and regularity of integral solutions for a class of nondensely defined partial neutral functional integrodifferential equations with unbounded delay. New necessary and sufficient stability tests for neutral‐type linear time delay systems are presented. They are based on functionals with prescribed derivative depending on the delay Lyapunov matrix and recent stability/instability theorems. A piecewise linear approximation of the initial function argument in the functional is employed. As a result, the functional is approximated via a quadratic form whose matrix provides stability criteria. This matrix involves the integrals based on the delay Lyapunov matrix which are handled via an efficient computational procedure. The main feature of these tests is that they are verified in a finite number of operations, which is achieved through rigorous bounding of the approximation error on a specific class of functions. In this paper, we initiate the study of asymptotic and oscillatory properties of solutions to second-order functional differential equations with noncanonical operators and unbounded neutral coefficients, using a recent method of iteratively improved monotonicity properties of nonoscillatory solutions. Our results rely on ideas that essentially improve standard techniques for the investigation of differential equations with unbounded neutral terms with delay or advanced argument. In this manuscript, we consider an inverse problem (IP) for an abstract impulsive differential equation with constant delay. We identify the parameter using an over-determined condition on a mild solution. The main techniques to find the results are a direct approach using Volterra integral (VI) equations for sufficiently regular data and an optimal control approach for less regular data. In optimal control approach, the characterization of the limit of the sequence of approximate solutions demonstrates that it is a solution to the original IP, under certain hypotheses. Inequalities serve as fundamental tools for analyzing various important concepts in stochastic differential problems. In this study, we present results on the existence, uniqueness, and averaging principle for fractional neutral stochastic differential equations. We utilize Jensen, Burkholder–Davis–Gundy, Grönwall–Bellman, Hölder, and Chebyshev–Markov inequalities. We generalize results in two ways: first, by extending the existing result for p = 2 to results in the L p space; second, by incorporating the Caputo–Katugampola fractional derivatives, we extend the results established with Caputo fractional derivatives. In this paper, the problem of asymptotic stability of a kind of nonlinear perturbed neutral differential system with variable delay is discussed. The Lyapunov-Krasovskiˇı functional constructed, is used to obtain conditions for asymptotic stability of the nonlinear perturbed neutral differential system in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI). The two new results (delay-independent and delay-dependent criteria) include and extend the existing results in the literature. In this paper, we study the differentiability of solutions of neutral stochastic differential equations driven by G-Brownian motion with respect to parameter. Under suitable assumptions, we show that solutions are differentiable with respect to the parameter which appears in the initial data. In addition, the stochastic differential equation of the derivative is given and the existence-uniqueness of solution is proved. This article is concerned with the practical stability performance of nonlinear impulsive stochastic functional differential systems driven by G-Brownian motion (G-ISFDSs). Comparing with traditional Lyapunov stability theory, practical stability can portray qualitative behaviour and quantitative properties of suggested systems. By employing G-Itô formula, Lyapunov–Razumikhin approach and stochastic analysis theory, some novel conditions for pth moment practical exponential stability and quasi-sure global practical uniform exponential stability of G-ISFDSs are established. The obtained results show that impulses may influence dynamic behaviour of the addressed system. Two numerical examples are given to verify the validity of our developed results. In this work, we prove a nonlocal Halanay inequality with an exact decay rate. This enables us to analyze behavior of solutions to some classes of nonlocal ODEs and PDEs involving unbounded delays. The oscillatory behavior of solutions of an even-order differential equation with a superlinear neutral term is considered using Riccati and generalized Riccati transformations, the integral averaging technique, and the theory of comparison. A periodic boundary-value problem for an equation with a deviating spatial argument is considered. Using the Poincaré–Dulac method of normal forms, the method of integral manifolds, and asymptotic formulas, we examine a number of bifurcation problems of codimension 1 and 2. For homogeneous equilibrium states, we analyze possibilities of implementing critical cases of various types. The problem on the stability of homogeneous equilibrium states is studied and asymptotic formulas for spatially inhomogeneous solutions and conditions for their stability are obtained. We consider impulse control of stochastic functional differential equations (SFDEs) driven by Lévy processes under an additional $ L^p $ L p -Lipschitz condition on the coefficients. Our results, which are first derived for a general stochastic optimization problem over infinite horizon impulse controls and then applied to the case of a controlled SFDE, apply to the infinite horizon as well as the random horizon settings. In this work, we are concerned with the order preservation problem for multidimensional neutral type stochastic differential equations of infinite delay with jumps under non-Lipschitz conditions. By using a truncated Euler-Maruyama scheme and adopting an approximation argument, we have developed the well-posedness of solutions for a class of stochastic functional differential equations which allow the length of memory to be infinite, and the coefficients to be non-Lipschitz and even unbounded. Moreover, we have extended some existing conclusions on order preservation for stochastic systems to a more general case. A pair of examples have been constructed to demonstrate that the order preservation need not hold whenever the diffusion term contains a delay term, although the jump-diffusion coefficient could contain a delay term. Synchronization of stochastic reaction-diffusion Hopfield neural networks with s-delays via sliding mode control is investigated in this article. To begin with, we choose suitable functional space for state variables, then the system is transformed into a functional differential equation in an infinite-dimensional Hilbert space by using appropriate functional analysis technique. Based on above preliminary preparation, sliding mode control (SMC) is constructed to drive the error trajectory into the designed switching surface. Specifically, the switching surface is constructed as linear combination of state variables, which is related to control gains. Then novel SMC law is designed which involving delay, reaction diffusion term, and reaching law. Furthermore, the criterion of mean-square exponential synchronization for stochastic delayed reaction-diffusion Hopfield neural networks with s-delays is given in the form of matrix form. This criterion is less restrictive and easy to check in computer. Meanwhile, a different novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) mixed with Itô's formula, Young inequality, Hanalay inequality is employed in this proof procedure. At last, a numerical example is presented to validate the availability of theoretical result. By means of a recent Birkhoff-Kellogg type theorem, we discuss the solvability of a fairly general class of parameter-dependent fourth order retarded differential equations subject to functional boundary conditions. An operational approach developed earlier for the spectral method that uses Legendre polynomials is generalized here for arbitrary systems of basis functions (not necessarily orthogonal) that satisfy only two conditions: the result of multiplication by or of differentiation with respect to is expressed in the same functions. All systems of classical orthogonal polynomials satisfy these conditions. In particular, we construct a spectral method that uses Chebyshev polynomials, which is most effective for numerical computations. This method is applied for numerical solution of the linear functional equations that appear in problems of generalized summation of series as well as in the problems of analytical continuation of discrete maps. Circular domains frequently appear in mathematical modeling in the fields of ecology, biology and chemistry. In this paper, we investigate the equivariant Hopf bifurcation of partial functional differential equations with Neumann boundary condition on a two-dimensional disk. The properties of these bifurcations at equilibriums are analyzed rigorously by studying the equivariant normal forms. Two reaction–diffusion systems with discrete time delays are selected as numerical examples to verify the theoretical results, in which spatially inhomogeneous periodic solutions including standing waves and rotating waves, and spatially homogeneous periodic solutions are found near the bifurcation points. This paper is devoted to investigating a class of stochastic neutral-type neural networks with delays. By using the fixed point theorem and the properties of neutral-type operator, we obtain the existence conditions for periodic solutions of stochastic neutral-type neural networks. Furthermore, we obtain the conditions for the exponential stability of periodic solutions using Gronwall-Bellman inequality and stochastic analysis technique. We present an integration condition ensuring that a stochastic differential equation d X t = μ (t , X t) d t + σ (t , X t) d B t , where μ and σ are sufficiently regular, has a solution of the form X t = Z (t , B t) . By generalizing the integration condition we obtain a class of stochastic differential equations that again have a functional solution, now of the form X t = Z (t , Y t) , with Y t an Ito process. These integration conditions, which seem to be new, provide an a priori test for the existence of functional solutions. Then path-independence holds for the trajectories of the process. By Green's Theorem, it holds also when integrating along any piece-wise differentiable path in the plane. To determine Z at any point (t , x) , we may start at the initial condition and follow a path that is first horizontal and then vertical. Then the value of Z can be determined by successively solving two ordinary differential equations. Due to a Lipschitz condition, this value is unique. In this research work, we use the concepts of contraction mapping to establish the existence and uniqueness results and also study the averaging principle in L p space by using Jensen's, Grönwall–Bellman's, Hölder's, and Burkholder–Davis–Gundy's inequalities, and the interval translation technique for a class of fractional neutral stochastic differential equations. This paper focuses on establishing new criteria to guarantee the oscillation of solutions for second-order differential equations with a superlinear and a damping term. New sufficient conditions are presented, aimed at analysing the oscillatory properties of the solutions to the equation under study. To prove these results, we employed various analysis methods, establishing new relationships to address certain problems that have hindered previous research. Consequently, by applying the principles of comparison and the Riccati transformation, we obtained findings that develop and complement those reported in earlier literature. In [2] we established an existence theorem on bounded/periodic solutions for a class of scalar delay differential equations of the form$ \begin{equation} \frac{du}{dt} = f(t,u(t), u(t-r_1), \cdots, u(t-r_n)), \qquad t \in \mathbb R, \;\;\;\;\;(1)\end{equation} $under the assumptions that the constant delays $ r_k>0 $, $ k = 1, \cdots, n $, are 'small' and $ f $ satisfies a one-sided Lipschitz condition on the variables $ u(t), u(t-r_1), \cdots, u(t-r_n) $. In this paper, we improve this result in the case that $ f $ is strictly increasing in some variables $ u(t-r_k) $ and obtain a new result that allows larger values of $ r_k $ with which the equation (1) still has a bounded/periodic solution. In this paper, we consider a class of nonlinear second‐order functional differential equations with piecewise constant arguments with applications to a thermostat that is controlled by the introduction of functional terms in the temperature and the speed of change of the temperature at some fixed instants. We first prove some comparison results for boundary value problems associated to linear delay differential equations that allow to give a priori bounds for the derivative of the solutions, so that we can control not only the values of the solutions but also their rate of change. Then, we develop the method of upper and lower solutions and the monotone iterative technique in order to deduce the existence of solutions in a certain region (and find their approximations) for a class of boundary value problems, which include the periodic case. In the approximation process, since the sequences of the derivatives for the approximate solutions are, in general, not monotonic, we also give some estimates for these derivatives. In this study, we extend the approach used to study the oscillatory behavior of delay differential equations to neutral equations. In the noncanonical case, we establish a new one‐condition criterion that guarantees the oscillation of a class of second‐order Emden‐Fowler neutral differential equations. The symmetry between the positive and negative solutions of the studied equation plays an important role in the proof of our results.
