We report an enhanced magnetoelectric (ME) effect in spin–phonon coupled single-phase La1−xSmxYFe2O6 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1). The structural, electric, magnetic, and ME properties have been investigated to establish their interplay leading to magnetoelectricity. X-ray diffraction study suggests the facilitation of the P21nm phase (double perovskite lattice arrangements) formation and improved structural order due to the substitution of Sm in the lattice. Antiferromagnetic (AFM) transition ∼700 K along with a spin-reorientation transition around room temperature (RT) and below is observed in the thermomagnetic curve. The indication of short range ordering in the magnetization data in the form of a non-Griffiths-like phase (nGP) is observed. The short range ordering could be minimized along with consequent improvement in AFM ordering, due to Sm substitution. An enhanced (∼31% with respect to x = 0) RT first-order ME coupling coefficient ∼0.59 mV cm−1 Oe−1 in x = 0.75 composition is observed. The present work describes the preparation of a new series of chalcogenide glasses in an As14Sb26S(60−x) (AgI)x system intending to explore its thermal, structural, optical, mechanical, and electrical properties. The differential scanning calorimetry results of the studied glasses show the sharp decrease in glass transition temperature (Tg) with the successive incremental inclusion of AgI in the composition, implying the structural changes in the glass network. A thorough Raman analysis corroborates the occurrence of changes in the glass network due to the formation of AsI3 units and Ag–S–As bonds with increasing AgI content. Also, structural changes can be reflected with the change in the optical bandgap (Eg) that was calculated using Tauc equations where it was found that Eg is in harmony with the observed structural variations of glasses. The studied glasses possess a transmittance window (∼0.68–12 μm) with transmittance above 60% in the mid-infrared region. These structural changes are closely related to the significant enhancement of conductivity of the present glasses from 10−8 to 10−6 S/cm at 373 K with a decrease in activation energies. Impedance spectra for the glass with highest AgI revealed the presence of two different relaxation processes. AC conductivity data followed an Arrhenius behavior as well as Jonscher's power law. Tumor suppressor genes and proto-oncogenes comprise most of the complex genomic landscape associated with cancer, with a minimal number of genes exhibiting dual-context-dependent functions. The transcription factor cellular promoter 2 (TFCP2), a pivotal transcription factor encoded by the alpha globin transcription factor CP2 gene, is a constituent of the TFCP2/grainyhead family of transcription factors. While grainyhead members have been extensively studied for their crucial roles in developmental processes, embryogenesis, and multiple cancers, the TFCP2 subfamily has been relatively less explored. The molecular mechanisms underlying TFCP2's involvement in carcinogenesis are still unclear even though it is a desirable target for cancer treatment and a therapeutic marker. This comprehensive literature review summarizes the molecular functions of TFCP2, emphasizing its involvement in cancer pathophysiology, particularly in the epithelial-mesenchymal transition and metastasis. It highlights TFCP2's critical function as a regulatory target and explores its potential as a prognostic marker for survival and inflammation in carcinomas. Its ambiguous association with carcinomas underlines the urgent need for an in-depth understanding to facilitate the development of more efficacious targeted therapeutic modality and diagnostic tools. This study aims to elucidate the multifaceted effects of TFCP2 regulation, through a comprehensive integration of the existing knowledge in cancer therapeutics. Motion sickness also known as kinetosis is a condition in which there exists a disagreement between visually perceived movement and the vestibular system's sense of movement. Nausea, vomiting, dizziness, fatigue, and headache are the most common symptoms of motion sickness. This study mainly focuses on the taste masking of Promethazine Hydrochloride (PMZ) by inclusion complexation method, its formulation development in the chewing gum form by using directly compressible gum base HIG® and its quality and performance testing. Different molar ratios (1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4) of PMZ-cyclodextrin complexes were prepared by using β-Cyclodextrin (β-CD) as a taste masking agent. These complexes were evaluated for FTIR, DSC, % Entrapment Efficiency, % drug yield, and taste evaluation by E-Tongue. The optimized ratio was further evaluated by sophisticated analytical techniques such as Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). A central composite design (CCD) (3 ^2) was utilized to examine the effects of independent variables (amount of gum-X1 and amount of plasticizer-X2) on dependent variables (%CDRY1 and hardness Y2). The prepared gums were evaluated for drug content, organoleptic properties, in-vitro dissolution testing by fabricated disintegration apparatus, texture analysis, etc. The optimization statistics showed that on decreasing the amount of gum, in- vitro drug release increases and hardness decreases. The optimized batch MCG-2 of Promethazine MCG showed 92.34 ± 0.92% of drug release, whereas for marketed formulation (Phenergan®-25 mg) drug release value was 86.19 ± 1.88%. The development of robust and efficient photocatalytic constructs for boosting the water oxidation reaction (WOR) is needed for establishing a sunlight-driven renewable energy infrastructure. Here, we synthesized plasmonic core–shell nanoconstructs consisting of triangular gold nanoprism (AuTNP) core with mixed manganese oxide (MnOx) shell for photoelectrocatalytic WOR. These constructs show electrocatalytic WOR with a low onset overpotential requirement of 270 mV at pH 10. Photoexcitation showed further enhancement of their catalytic activity resulting in ∼15% decrease of the onset overpotential requirement along with the generation of photocurrent density of up to 300 μA/cm2. We showed that such light-driven enhancement of AuTNP@MnOx dyad's catalytic activity toward the WOR process includes contributions from both photocatalytic (hot carriers driven) and photothermal effects with photothermal effect playing the major role for wavelength between 532 and 808 nm. The contribution from the photocatalytic effect is appreciable only for high-energy excitations near the interband region, while the photothermal effect largely dominates for lower energy excitations near the LSPR wavelengths of the dyad. Increasing the number of resistant bacteria resistant to treatment is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. These bacteria are created in wounds and injuries and can be transferred through hospital equipment. Various attempts have been made to treat these bacteria in recent years, such as using different drugs and new sterilization methods. However, some bacteria resist drugs, and other traditional methods cannot destroy them. In the meantime, various studies have shown that cold atmospheric plasma can kill these bacteria through different mechanisms, making cold plasma a promising tool to deactivate bacteria. This new technology can be effectively used in the food industry because it has the potential to inactivate microorganisms such as spores and microbial toxins and increase the wettability and printability of polymers to pack fresh and dried food. It can also increase the shelf life of food without leaving any residue or chemical effluent. A memristor is a two-terminal electrical component with the scope of future computing applications and analog electronics. In this report, bismuth sulfide decorated one-dimensional carbon nitride nanotube was synthesized and characterized with various analytical techniques. The electrical property of the synthesized material was measured using a two-terminal metal–insulator–metal type of device that exhibited the resistive switching characteristics with the ON to OFF ratio of 2 × 103. The electron transport mechanism of the device was followed by Schottky emission and Poole–Frenkel emission for a low conductance state and Ohmic conduction behavior at the high conductance state. A decrease in the trap depth was identified in the simulation study with increasing applied potential and that supported the proposed mechanism. Read endurance and retention behavior of the device are stable in nature, supported by the statistical analysis. Furthermore, a hybrid logic gate was designed using two identical memristors, one CMOS inverter, one resistor, one voltage divider, and a buffer gate. A major roadblock to scalable quantum computing is phase decoherence and energy relaxation caused by qubits interacting with defect-related two-level systems (TLSs). Native oxides present on the surfaces of superconducting metals used in quantum devices are acknowledged to be a source of TLS that decrease qubit coherence times. Reducing microwave loss by "surface engineering" (i.e., replacing the uncontrolled native oxide of superconducting metals with a thin, stable surface with predictable characteristics) can be a key enabler for pushing performance forward with devices of higher intrinsic quality factor. In this work, we present a novel approach to replace the native oxide of niobium (typically formed in an uncontrolled fashion when its pristine surface is exposed to air) with an engineered oxide, using a room-temperature process that leverages accelerated neutral atom beam (ANAB) technology at 300 mm wafer scale. This ANAB is composed of a mixture of argon and oxygen, with tunable energy per atom, which is rastered across the wafer surface. The ANAB-engineered Nb-oxide thickness was found to vary from 2 to 6 nm depending on ANAB process parameters. The modeling of variable-energy x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy data confirms the thickness and compositional control of Nb surface oxide by the ANAB process. These results correlate well with those from transmission electron microscopy and x-ray reflectometry. Since ANAB is broadly applicable to material surfaces, the present study indicates its promise for modification of the surfaces of superconducting quantum circuits to achieve longer coherence times. Rare-earth-doped barium calcium aluminate (BCA) glasses, having extended infrared (IR) transmission (6 μ m), are attractive materials for near IR (NIR) photonic applications. Nd2O3-doped BCA glasses display broadband emission at 1.07 µ m, but they are limited, with poor glass-forming ability (GFA) and low emission cross sections. In the present study, four different barium zinc calcium aluminate (BZCA) glasses are synthesized with varied ZnO concentrations (from 9.5 to 24.5 mol%) and doped with 0.5 mol% Nd2O3 to decipher the effect on GFA and spectroscopic properties. The addition of ZnO enhances the GFA, and the NdBZCA20 glass shows the maximum GFA. Ultraviolet (UV)–visible (Vis)–NIR absorption spectra reveal a decreasing trend in the nephelauxetic effect, while J – O parameters, emission, and gain properties lead to no significant alteration with increasing ZnO, and the structure–properties correlation is established accordingly. However, the emission cross sections for all ZnO concentrations are found ∼4.5 × 10−20 cm2 accompanied by broadband emission (Δ λ eff ∼ 40 nm), which ensures the potentiality of these glasses for low-threshold high-gain laser applications as well as ultrashort pulse laser applications. Furthermore, a thorough analysis of 1.06 µ m emission as a function of Nd concentration in the BZCA20 glass is reported here. The emission spectra and decay time indicate that 0.5 mol% is the optimized doping concentration. Inokuti–Hirayama and Burshtein equations are adopted to study the decay kinetics and energy-transfer mechanisms, which confirm that the energy-transfer process due to cross-relaxation is dominant up to 0.5 mol% concentration, whereas, beyond that concentration, excitation energy migration via the hopping mechanism supersedes. Summary: A compact, double‐sided four‐port printed antenna with pattern and polarization diversity performance is proposed for super‐wideband (SWB) applications. The proposed printed antenna consists of microstrip line‐fed corner truncated four identical square patches. One pair of patches is placed strategically on the top side of the substrate, and another pair is on the bottom side with rotational symmetry to realize a compact four‐port antenna with higher port isolation (>25 dB) throughout the operating band along with pattern diversity. A half‐circular slit is etched in the partial ground plane of all four antennas to achieve SWB (1–19.81 GHz) response. A meander‐shaped decoupling structure is incorporated on both sides of the substrate to enhance the port isolation. T‐shaped slots on the patch and corner truncations are conceived to achieve circular polarization (CP) across 5.15–5.83 GHz. The beauty of this structure lies in the easy switching between LHCP and RHCP by just controlling the port excitation. Moreover, the strategic placement of antenna elements produces bidirectional patterns with proper choice of port excitation. A good agreement is observed between the measured and simulation results. The alkylation of 4-hydroxythiocoumarins (1a–f) was carried out with various allyl bromides as well as propargyl bromides using K2CO3 (2 equiv.) in anhydrous acetone at room temperature, and the corresponding regioselective S-alkylated products 4a–l and 5a–n were obtained in good yields. Then, the synthesis of a variety of new sulfur heterocycles is accomplished by employing thio-Claisen rearrangement from the corresponding S-allyl ethers (4a–l) and S-propargyl ethers (5a–n) to provide the cyclised products 7a–o and 8a–n in good yields. Interestingly, the S-propargyl ethers of the corresponding 4-hydroxythiocoumarins (1a–f) provided two different products depending on the solvent. Furthermore, various 4-hydroxythiocoumarins provided the cyclised products 10a–f directly upon reaction with 2-methylbut-3-yn-2-ol (9) in the presence of 10 mol% p-TSA as catalyst in nitromethane solvent at 80 °C. DFT calculations were performed to investigate the formation of different products, and the findings have been thoroughly discussed. The present study introduces an activated carbon bead-supported regenerable bimetal (Fe-Ag) catalyst for the catalytic wet air oxidation (cWAO) of organics in an industrial wastewater (chemical oxygen demand/COD ~ 120000 mg/L). The catalytic oxidation reaction is performed at 27 bar and 230 °C in a trickle bed reactor. The Fe-Ag nanoparticles-modified carbon nanofibers enhance the exposure of the bimetals to the aqueous organics during oxidation. The spent cWAO catalyst is regenerated through simple solvent-washing and H2-reduction steps. The SEM, XRD, Raman, and XPS spectroscopic results indicate that the physicochemical properties of the fresh catalyst, including the materials specific surface area are retained in the regenerated catalyst. The regenerated catalyst shows approximately the same efficiency (~ 99% COD reduction) as that of the fresh catalyst in three consecutive oxidation-regeneration cycles. This systematic review aimed to synthesise the content, structure, and delivery characteristics of effective yoga interventions for managing osteoarthritis symptoms, including joint pain and joint function. JBI guidelines were followed. 17 databases were searched for randomised controlled trials (RCTs) assessing yoga's effectiveness on osteoarthritis symptoms. Meta-analyses and a narrative synthesis were conducted to address the objective. The systematic review and meta-analysis included 18 and 16 articles (representing 16 and 14 RCTs), respectively. Overall, the included studies had low methodological quality scores. 10 of 14 yoga interventions effectively reduced pain (standardised mean difference (SMD) − 0.70; 95% confidence interval (CI) − 1.08, − 0.32) and/or improved function (− 0.40; − 0.75, − 0.04). Notably, 8 effective interventions had centre-based (supervised, group) sessions, and 6 included additional home-based (unsupervised, individual) sessions. Effective interventions included 34 yogic poses (12 sitting, 10 standing, 8 supine, 4 prone), 8 breathing practices, and 3 meditation and relaxation practices. 8 interventions included yogic poses, and 7 also incorporated breathing practices and/or meditation and relaxation practices. 4 interventions included yogic pose modifications for osteoarthritis. The median duration of centre-based sessions was 8 weeks and each session was around 53 min, mostly delivered once a week. The median duration of home-based sessions was 10 weeks and each session was 30 min, usually instructed to practice 4 times a week. Given previous studies' limitations, a high-quality long-term RCT should be conducted using synthesised findings of previous effective yoga interventions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Administration of a new drug candidate in a first‐in‐human (FIH) clinical trial is a particularly challenging phase in drug development and is especially true for immunomodulators, which are a diverse and complex class of drugs with a broad range of mechanisms of action and associated safety risks. Risk is generally greater for immunostimulators, in which safety concerns are associated with acute toxicity, compared to immunosuppressors, where the risks are related to chronic effects. Current methodologies for FIH dose selection for immunostimulators are focused primarily on identifying the minimum anticipated biological effect level (MABEL), which has often resulted in sub‐therapeutic doses, leading to long and costly escalation phases. The Health and Environmental Sciences Institute (HESI) – Immuno‐Safety Technical Committee (ITC) organized a project to address this issue through two complementary approaches: (i) an industry survey on FIH dose selection strategies and (ii) detailed case studies for immunomodulators in oncology and non‐oncology indications. Key messages from the industry survey responses highlighted a preference toward more dynamic PK/PD approaches as in vitro assays are seemingly not representative of true physiological conditions for immunomodulators. These principles are highlighted in case studies. To address the above themes, we have proposed a revised decision tree, which expands on the guidance by the IQ MABEL Working Group (Leach et al. 2021). This approach facilitates a more refined recommendation of FIH dose selection for immunomodulators, allowing for a nuanced consideration of their mechanisms of action (MOAs) and the associated risk‐to‐benefit ratio, among other factors. This paper presents a design and analysis of novel DC-DC boost converter with a least component count. The proposed converter produces high DC gain voltage in comparison to some recently presented high voltage DC-DC converter. Here one switch, one inductor, two capacitors and one diode are used to achieved a high voltage gain without compromising efficiency of converter. The converter’s performance is evaluated using theatrical, simulation and experimental methods, with results indicating a four times of input voltage and a fast-transient response at various duty cycles is achieved. This study investigates the impact of temperature and rainfall on economic growth in Asian countries using panel data regression analysis from 1991 to 2021. The results reveal a significant negative relationship between temperature and economic growth, with a 1°C rise leading to a 0.385% reduction in growth. High-temperature countries experience a more significant adverse effect compared to low-temperature countries. However, despite displaying a negative trend, rainfall does not significantly influence economic growth statistically. The study also finds differences in the impact of climate variables across different income groups. Additionally, temperature negatively affects the growth rate of agrarian countries, while rainfall does not significantly influence their growth dynamics. These findings underscore the importance of considering climate change in understanding economic growth and highlight the need for policymakers to prioritize climate risk assessment and adopt appropriate climate change mitigation and resilience strategies in Asian countries. Category-level 6D object pose estimation is a very fundamental and key research in computer vision. In order to get rid of the dependence on the object 3D models, analysis-by-synthesis object pose estimation methods have recently been widely studied. While these methods have certain improvements in generalization, the accuracy of category-level object pose estimation still needs to be improved. In this paper, we propose a category-level 6D object pose estimation network based on adversarial imitation learning, named AIL-Net. AIL-Net adopts the state-action distribution matching criterion and is able to perform expert actions that have not appeared in the dataset. This prevents the object pose estimation from falling into a bad state. We further design a framework for estimating object pose through generative adversarial imitation learning. This method is able to distinguish between expert policy and imitation policy in AIL-Net. Experimental results show that our approach achieves competitive category-level object pose estimation performance on REAL275 dataset and Cars dataset. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aim: The success of vital pulp treatment (VPT) procedures is dependent on an accurate diagnosis of the pulpal inflammatory condition. Compared with current subjective pulpal diagnostic tests, inflammatory molecular biomarkers involved in the pathogenesis of pulpitis represent potential objective indicators of the degree of pulpal inflammation. Therefore, the aim of this study was to quantify level of inflammatory biomarkers – Interleukin 8 (IL‐8) and TNF‐α in patients diagnosed with reversible pulpitis (RP), irreversible pulpitis (IR) and normal pulp (NP) and investigate their diagnostic accuracy in differentiating between healthy and inflamed conditions. Methodology: This prospective, cross‐sectional study enrolled 72 patients aged 14–53 years with extremely deep carious lesions after establishing a clinical diagnosis of RP (n = 42), symptomatic IR (n = 22) and NP (n = 8). 50 μL of pulpal blood sample was collected from all the patients using a micropipette after pulpal exposure. The level of IL‐8 and TNF‐α was assessed in pg/mL using enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assays. Mann–Whitney U test was applied to establish the association between IL‐8/TNF‐α level and degree of pulp inflammation. Receiver operating curve (ROC) analysis was carried out to calculate area under the curve (AUC) for RP versus IR. Cut‐off values were established using Youden's index. Results: IL‐8 and TNF‐α levels differed significantly between RP and IR groups (p ≤.001). The median value of IL‐8 in RP and IP groups was 259.8 pg/mL [187.5–310.0] and 1357.8 pg/mL [1036.7–2177.6] respectively. The AUC‐ROC curve for RP versus IR was 0.997 with 95.5% sensitivity and 99.76% specificity. The median value of TNF‐α in RP and IR groups was 75.4 pg/mL [62.7–95.8] and 157.6 pg/mL [94.1–347.3]. The AUC‐ROC curve for TNF‐α was 0.812 with a sensitivity and specificity of 59.1% and 92.1%, respectively. IL‐8 and TNF‐α levels were below detection levels for all NP samples. Conclusion: This study showed that pulpal blood could provide an excellent medium for establishing pulpal diagnosis under extremely deep carious lesions. The selected cytokines, IL‐8 and TNF‐α, demonstrated excellent discriminatory performance for reversible and irreversible pulpitis. This review article describes some of the recent advances in ultra‐trace determination of uranium in various natural water bodies such as drinking water, underground water, seawater, etc. using total reflection x‐ray florescence (TXRF) spectrometry. Uranium is one of the most hazardous element having chemical as well as radio‐toxicity. However, due to its low concentration in water samples, direct determination is seldom possible in samples with high salt content. Various sample preconcentration and selective extraction techniques for uranium such as solvent extraction, dispersive liquid–liquid micro extraction, solid phase extraction, and membrane based preconcentration methods are summarized in this article. TXRF is a very versatile micro‐analytical technique with detection limits in picogram range and having multielemental analysis capability. TXRF determination of uranium using U Lα as the analytical line has many analytical challenges and difficulties, mainly due to the severe interference with Rb and Br, both are commonly available in natural water samples. This article highlights some of these challenges, along with the advantages and disadvantages of the different sample preparation techniques used so far for uranium determination in natural water samples by TXRF. A nanofluid is a solution of nanoparticles with diameters fewer than 100 nanometers suspended in a base fluid such as water, ethylene glycol, or oil. In the nanofluid, these nanoparticles are suspended. The goal of this research is to look at the functioning of a twin-pipe heat exchanger that uses counter flow arrangements and two different nanofluids as cooling fluids. Alkaline water is a basic fluid made up of silicon carbide (SiC) and carbon nanotubes (CNT). The goal of this research was to see how different compositions of SiC and CNT nanoparticles dispersed in water affected the heat transfer capacities of a twin pipe heat exchanger developed with a counterflow arrangement. The flow rate of the nanofluid and the particle volume concentration of alkaline water were (0.02) and (0.04), respectively. Fluids with constant intake temperatures of 60°C for water and 30°C for nanofluid flow at the same input velocity via a heat exchanger. Both fluids are traveling at the same rate. According to the findings, nanofluid absorbs more heat than water at a range of flow speeds. Because of the improved thermal properties of nanoscale fluids, this results in increased thermal efficiency in heat exchangers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Paleoproterozoic Jahaj–Govindpura Formation of the Raialo Group of Delhi supergroup, India exposes volcanic and volcaniclastics rock at multiple stratigraphic levels and hence, provides a unique scope for the study of volcaniclastics of varying rheology and their bearing on the tectono-magmatic setting of the basin. From a detailed field study in three spatially disparate sections, associated sedimentary facies types and textural evidences such as clast annealing, deformation in pumice fragments, eutaxitic foliation and shattered crystals, the volcaniclastics are documented as pyroclastic flow (VLC 1), welded tuff (VLC 2), clast-/matrix-supported boulder pyroclastic conglomerate (VLC 3), and pyroclastic fall deposits (VLC 4). Whereas, VLC 1 and VLC 2 are identified as subaqueous, VLC 3 and VLC 4 are grouped under subaerial categories. The facies distribution of volcaniclastics and eastward paleocurrent motif from associated sedimentary facies is indicative of proximal-distal relationship varying between subaerial to sub-marine depositional settings. From collation and comparison of available geochemical data (major, trace element, and REE) of volcanic rock and new geochemical data generated from volcaniclastics under the present study, it is inferred that the source magma was more basic (low SiO2 and high MgO) resembling tholeiitic to calc-alkaline island-arc source composition while a more intermediate to felsic composition is posited for the volcaniclastics. Considering the ca-1876 Ma time frame of the basin and a subduction-related magmatic character for the volcaniclastics, a possible Orosirian subduction margin, related to the 'Columbia' supercontinent, in the vicinity of the Bayana sub-basin in North Delhi fold belt is suggested. Highlights: Primary subaerial to subaquous volcaniclastics described from Paleoproterozoic Bayana sub-basin, North Delhi Fold Belt, India. Unequivocal petrological features allowed subaerial and subaquous emplacement of volcaniclastics. Depending on associated sedimentary facies and paleocurrent motif a proximal-distal relationship established between different volcaniclastic facies. Whereas volcanics register tholeiitic to calc-alkaline composition, a more intermediate to felsic composition is inferred for the volcaniclastics. From geochemical signature, an overall compressional tectonic set-up is suggested with riftogenic Bayana basin a part of it. Background: Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is recognized as the most lethal and most highly invasive tumor. The high likelihood of treatment failure arises fromthe presence of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and stemcells around GBM, which avert the entry of chemotherapeutic drugs into the tumormass. Objective: Recently, several researchers have designed novel nanocarrier systems like liposomes, dendrimers, metallic nanoparticles, nanodiamonds, and nanorobot approaches, allowing drugs to infiltrate the BBB more efficiently, opening up innovative avenues to prevail over therapy problems and radiation therapy. Methods: Relevant literature for this manuscript has been collected from a comprehensive and systematic search of databases, for example, PubMed, Science Direct, Google Scholar, and others, using specific keyword combinations, including "glioblastoma," "brain tumor," "nanocarriers," and several others. Conclusion: This review also provides deep insights into recent advancements in nanocarrier-based formulations and technologies for GBM management. The precise manipulation of perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) and near-infrared plasmonic states holds immense significance for advanced nanoscale spintronics devices including magnetic random-access memory and epsilon-near-zero (ENZ) photonic devices. Notwithstanding the inherent tendency of oxide thin films to favor an in-plane magnetic easy axis, our study unveils an innovative approach to exert experimental control over magnetic anisotropy, magnetic phase in SrRuO3 (SRO) films by growing them coherently and controlling at nanoscale levels via reflection high-energy electron diffraction (RHEED)-assisted pulsed laser deposition (PLD) on distinctively orientedspecifically, (001), (011), and (111) SrTiO3 (STO) single crystalline substrates. Our comprehensive magnetic measurements unequivocally confirm a clear dependence on magnetic anisotropy with more than one competing magnetic phase with different coercivity and saturation magnetization. A larger perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) is observed for coherently strained SRO films on (001)-oriented STO compared to their counterparts on (011) and (111)-oriented STO. On the other hand, the orientation-dependent SRO films exhibit tunable plasmonic ENZ, increased metallicity, flexible optical conductivity, and customizable optical transparency in the near-infrared region. These results not only provide a straightforward and effective pathway for achieving tunable PMA and transparent plasmonic states in epitaxial oxide layers but also hold the potential to develop state-of-the-art oxide-based optospin–orbit coupled spintronic switching and memory devices. Three-dimensional (3D) bioprinting has made it possible to fabricate structures with intricate morphologies and architectures, which is considered difficult to do when using other conventional techniques like electrospinning. Although the 3D printing of thermoplastics has seen a huge boom in the past few years, it has been challenging to translate this technology to cell-based printing. A major limitation in bioprinting is the lack of inks that allow for the printing of 3D structures that meet the biological requirements of a specific organ or tissue. A bioink is a viscous polymer solution that cells are incorporated into before printing. Therefore, a bioink must have specific characteristics to ensure both good printability and biocompatibility. Despite the progress that has been made in bioprinting, achieving a balance between these two properties has been difficult. In this work, we developed a multimodal bioink that serves as both a cell carrier and a free radical scavenger for treating peripheral nerve injury. This bioink comprises poly-(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and cerium oxide nanoparticles (also called nanoceria (NC)) and was developed with a dual crosslinking method that utilizes citric acid and sodium hydroxide. By employing this dual crosslinking method, good printability of the bioink and shape fidelity of the bioprinted structure were achieved. Additionally, a cell viability study demonstrated that the cells remained compatible and viable even after they underwent the printing process. The combination of this PVA/NC bioink and the dual crosslinking method proved to be effective in enhancing printability and cell biocompatibility for extrusion-based bioprinting applications. Four-dimensional (4D) printing of hydrogels enabled the fabrication of complex scaffold geometries out of static parts. Although current 4D fabrication strategies are promising for creating vascular parts such as tubes, developing branched networks or tubular junctions is still challenging. Here, for the first time, a 4D printing approach is employed to fabricate T-shaped perfusable bifurcation using an extrusion-based multi-material 3D printing process. An alginate/methylcellulose-based dual-component hydrogel system (with defined swelling behavior) is nanoengineered with carbonized alginate (∼100 nm) to introduce anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory, and anti-thrombotic properties and shape-shifting properties. A computational model to predict shape deformations in the printed hydrogels with defined infill angles was designed and further validated experimentally. Shape deformations of the 3D-printed flat sheets were achieved by ionic cross-linking. An undisrupted perfusion of a dye solution through a T-junction with minimal leakage mimicking blood flow through vessels is also demonstrated. Moreover, human umbilical vein endothelial and fibroblast cells seeded with printed constructs show intact morphology and excellent cell viability. Overall, the developed strategy paves the way for manufacturing self-actuated vascular bifurcations with remarkable anti-thrombotic properties to potentially treat coronary artery diseases. The decision-making process in Industrial Wireless Sensor Networks heavily relies on the information provided by smart sensors. Ensuring the trustworthiness of these sensors is essential to prolong the lifetime of the network. Additionally, dependable data transmission by sensor nodes is crucial for effective decision-making. Trust management approaches play a vital role in safeguarding industrial sensor networks from internal threats, enhancing security, dependability, and network resilience. However, existing trust management schemes often focus solely on communication behaviour to calculate trust values, potentially leading to incorrect decisions amidst prevalent malicious attacks. Moreover, these schemes often fail to meet the resource and dependability requirements of IWSNs. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a novel hybrid Trust Management Scheme called the Multi-layered Assessment System for Trustworthiness Enhancement and Reliability (MASTER). The MASTER scheme employs a clustering approach within a hybrid architecture to reduce communication overhead, effectively detecting and mitigating various adversarial attacks such as Sybil, Blackhole, Ballot stuffing, and On–off attacks with minimal overheads. This multifactor trust scheme integrates both communication-based trust and data-based trust during trust estimation, aiming to improve the lifetime of industrial sensor networks. Furthermore, the proposed MASTER scheme utilizes a flexible weighting scheme that assigns more weight to recent interactions during both direct and recommendation (indirect) trust evaluation. This approach ensures robust and precise trust values tailored to the specific network scenario. To efficiently process and glean insights from dispersed data, machine learning algorithms are employed, offering a suitable solution. Experimental results demonstrate the superior performance of the MASTER scheme in several key metrics compared to recent trust models. For instance, when 30% of malicious Sensor Nodes (SNs) exist in a network comprising 500 sensor nodes, the MASTER scheme achieves a malicious behaviour detection rate of 97%, surpassing the rates of other models. Even after the occurrence of malicious SNs exceeding 30%, the False Negative Rate (FNR) in the MASTER scheme remains lower than other models due to adaptive trust functions employed at each level. With 50% malicious SNs in the network, the MASTER scheme achieves a malicious behaviour detection accuracy of 91%, outperforming alternative models. Moreover, the average energy consumption of SNs in the MASTER scheme is significantly lower compared to other schemes, owing to its elimination of unnecessary transactions through clustered topology utilization. Specifically, with 30% and 50% malicious SNs in the network, the MASTER scheme achieves throughput rates of 150 kbps and 108 kbps, respectively, demonstrating its efficiency in challenging network scenarios. Overall, the proposed MASTER scheme offers a comprehensive solution for enhancing security, trustworthiness, and collaboration among sensor nodes in IWSNs, while achieving superior performance in various metrics compared to existing trust models. Supervised field trials were conducted to study dissipation of combination product of beta-cyfluthrin and imidacloprid (Solomon) in various samples of lemon and onion. The pesticides were extracted and analysed using QuEChERS (with some modifications) based methods after validation of the method. Linearity, accuracy and precision data showed that the results were in the acceptable range as per SANTE 2019. The results of dissipation revealed that the initial accumulation of beta-cyfluthrin was 0.6 and 1.1 mg kg−1 in lemon and 0.24 and 0.97 mg kg−1 in onion samples at standard and double dose respectively. The residues of imidacloprid were 2.61 and 4 mg kg−1 in lemon and 0.36 and 0.53 in onion at two doses. The residues of beta-cyfluthrin followed first order dissipation in both the crops at standard dose and showed biphasic dissipation in double dose in both lemon and onion samples. Imidacloprid followed first-order dissipation in lemon in both the doses. Half-life of beta-cyfluthrin ranged from 3.6 to 23.2 days in lemon samples and that of imidacloprid was 15.1 and 21.5 days in two different doses. In onion the half-life ranged from 2.1 to 4.0 for beta-cyfluthrin and 2.8 to 5.2 days for imidacloprid in different doses. Theoretical maximum residue concentration (TMRC) was always less than maximum permissible intake (MPI) in all the samples suggesting that the use of combination product is safe. An alternative way of skyrmion quasi-particle detection is simulated at low voltage bias. The point contact (PC), attached to the strip with a Néel-type skyrmion, can detect it with a higher efficiency than a magnetic tunnel junction. The method is based on detecting the skyrmion via the ballistic magnetoresistance ratio (BRR). PC's resistance with skyrmion significantly differs from the one without it. BRR is estimated in the framework of the point contact model for two directions of spin-polarized current: perpendicular to the transport direction (case 1) and along one (case 2). Skyrmion's size is assumed to be around 3.6 nm in diameter—smaller, or comparable, to the mean free path of electrons, allowing it to utilize the ballistic transport approach. As a result, resistance values for the considered Néel type skyrmion within the related size are estimated as 157 Ω for case 1 and 452.2 Ω for case 2 with optimistic BRR 101.3% and 291.7%, respectively. BRR for case 2 is higher due to the spin-filtering effect. In this study, a redox reaction is employed to synthesize manganese oxide (Mn3O4) nanoparticles using potassium permanganate as a precursor in the presence of diethyl amine. The structural characterization reveals the formation of the tetragonal phase of Mn3O4 nanoparticles with a space group of I41/amd. A free‐standing Mn3O4‐based paper electrode is fabricated and its electrochemical performances are investigated. The electrode exhibits a maximum specific capacitance value of ~353 F g−1 and an areal capacitance of ~530 mF cm−2 at a current density of 0.2 A g−1. A symmetric supercapacitor‐based device is also designed using Mn3O4 nanoparticles as an active material in a gel electrolyte configuration. The Mn3O4 device achieves specific and areal capacity values of ~208 mAh g−1 and 260 mA cm−2, respectively, at a current density of 0.3 A g−1. The device delivers maximum energy and power density values of ~104 Wh kg−1 and ~220 W kg−1, respectively, with ~92 % specific capacity retention at 0.3 A g−1 after 5000 cycles. Textile‐based wearable triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) have emerged as viable power sources for wearable electronics. However, it is still a daunting challenge to realize a high‐performing textile‐based nanogenerator without compromising its intrinsic textile‐like properties, such as stretchability, breathability, and conformability. The above challenge is addressed by fabricating a record high‐performing wearable, breathable and stretchable nanogenerator based on polarization‐induced ultra‐stretchable EVA/Nylon‐11 micro/nano‐fibers (1250%) as the triboelectric positive layer and polarization‐induced ultra‐stretchable EVA/PVDF/BA2CsAgBiBr7 micro/nano‐fibers (1480%) as the triboelectric negative layer. The excellent stretchability, breathability (1.15 Kgm−2d−1) and high energy‐harvesting performance (650 V, 19.5 µAcm−2) are attributed to the mechanically‐socketed structure of the aligned stretchable EVA microfibers with the polarized nanofibers, thus providing a universal framework to fabricate stretchable piezoelectric fibers. Compositional engineering and polarization‐induced surface charges coupled with triboelectric‐induced surface charges enabled enhanced performance compared to other wearable stretchable textile‐based nanogenerators. Additionally, it is utilized as a stretchable self‐powered pressure sensor with an ultra‐wide pressure sensing range (0.05–500 kPa) and high sensitivity (2.5 VkPa−1) even under deformations. To the best of the knowledge, PI‐STENG stands out amongst various stretchable self‐powered pressure sensors in terms of pressure sensing range and stretchability.
