The article discusses on the difference of the continents and the ocean basins as factors that composes the earth crust. The continents are made up of different material, and the difference can be summarized in two chemical forms which are the sialic and the simatic. According to several research, any attempt to explain the origin of the continent and oceans must count on this fundamental difference in the respective portions of the earth crust.
