Bi1-xCaxFeO3 (x = 0, 0.1) thin films were synthesized by a sol-gel spin coating method. A diode-like current–voltage characteristic was investigated in a Bi0.9Ca0.1FeO3 (BCFO) thin film. By Ca element doping, the current–voltage characteristic was changed from a traditional symmetric variation to a diode-like behavior. Besides, the modulation effects of a magnetic field on Pt/BCFO/Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si devices have been investigated. Using some micro-analysis methods, such as x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy, possible mechanisms were discussed on the basis of an oxygen vacancy modulated Schottky-like barrier. The control of the resistance state with the magnetic field means larger degrees of freedom, and this is crucial for further application of BiFeO3-based materials in higher density memory devices. The capability to gather heterogeneous data, alongside the increasing power of artificial intelligence to examine it, leading a revolution in harnessing multimodal data in the life sciences. However, most approaches are limited to unimodal data, leaving integrated approaches across modalities relatively underdeveloped in computational pathology. Pathogenomics, as an invasive method to integrate advanced molecular diagnostics from genomic data, morphological information from histopathological imaging, and codified clinical data enable the discovery of new multimodal cancer biomarkers to propel the field of precision oncology in the coming decade. In this perspective, we offer our opinions on synthesizing complementary modalities of data with emerging multimodal artificial intelligence methods in pathogenomics. It includes correlation between the pathological and genomic profile of cancer, fusion of histology, and genomics profile of cancer. A new pentadentate quinoline–pyridine ligand and its iron (1), cobalt (2) and nickel (3) complexes have been synthesized and characterized. The iron complex exhibits excellent photocatalytic activity towards CO2-to-CO conversion with a TON(CO) of 544 and a selectivity of 99.3% using the commercially available organic dye purpurin as the photosensitiser and BIH as the electron donor. In contrast, the cobalt and nickel complexes result in very low activity for CO production with a TON of only 8 and 15, respectively. On the other hand, all the three complexes show good electrocatalytic activity for CO2 reduction when using 2,2,2-trifluoroethanol as the proton source with the active intermediate of M0 species. The lack of activity in photocatalytic CO2 reduction by 2 and 3 can be attributed to the redox potential of MI/M0 which is significantly more negative than that of PP−/PP2− while in the case of 1 the FeI/Fe0 redox potential becomes more positive than that of the PP−/PP2− couple. In this paper, the morphological and optical properties of LTO/TaOx composite structure films and electrochromic properties of “ITO/NiOx/LTO/TaOx/WOx/ITO” electrochromic devices (ECDs) based on LTO/TaOx composite structure films are reported. The composite films are deposited on the ITO substrate by reactive magnetron sputtering. The results of XRD, SEM, and AFM show that LTO film is amorphous and the performance of films prepared by sputtering power of 100 W for 5 h is the best. The optical transmittance of the multilayer structure is tested using an ultraviolet-visible spectrum and the refractive index dispersion is calculated using the relationship between the peaks in the spectrum based on equal inclination interference theory. Optical transmittance and refractive index dispersion are changed with the increase of magnetron sputtering power. Electrochromic tests show that all-solid-state ECDs based on composite films have 13 s coloring and 14 s fading response time, and the average optical modulation amplitude is 58%. To reduce the production cost of Bi-2223 superconducting tapes, Bi-2223/Ag/Ni tapes were fabricated by the powder-in-tube process. The effect of heat treatment on the microstructure and critical current of the Bi-2223/Ag/Ni tapes were studied. The phase compositions of the samples were characterized using XRD. The microstructure was observed using SEM. Experimental results indicate that higher temperature is more conducive to the formation of Bi-2223 phase at an atmosphere of 8.5% O. After the two-step heat treatment, the critical current of samples is about 67.5 A. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
