Objective: To investigate the survival benefit of preoperative bone scan in asymptomatic patients with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods: This retrospective study included patients with radical resection for stage T1N0M0 NSCLC between March 2013 and December 2018. During postoperative follow-up, we monitored patient survival and the development of bone metastasis. We compared overall survival, bone metastasis-free survival, and recurrence-free survival in patients with or without preoperative bone scan. Propensity score matching and inverse probability of treatment weighting were used to minimize election bias. Results: A total of 868 patients (58.19 ± 9.69 years; 415 men) were included in the study. Of 87.7% (761 of 868) underwent preoperative bone scan. In the multivariable analyses, bone scan did not improve overall survival (hazard ratio [HR] 1.49; 95% confidence intervals [CI] 0.91–2.42; p = 0.113), bone metastasis-free survival (HR 1.18; 95% CI 0.73–1.90; p = 0.551), and recurrence-free survival (HR 0.89; 95% CI 0.58–1.39; p = 0.618). Similar results were obtained after propensity score matching (overall survival [HR 1.28; 95% CI 0.74–2.23; p = 0.379], bone metastasis-free survival [HR 1.00; 95% CI 0.58–1.72; p = 0.997], and recurrence-free survival [HR 0.76; 95% CI 0.46–1.24; p = 0.270]) and inverse probability of treatment weighting. Conclusion: There were no significant differences in overall survival, bone metastasis-free survival, and recurrence-free survival between asymptomatic patients with clinical stage IA NSCLC with or without preoperative bone scan. Background: Previous studies have demonstrated the role of N6-methyladenosine (m6A) RNA methylation in various biological processes, our research is the first to elucidate its specific impact on LCAT mRNA stability and adipogenesis in poultry. Results: The 6 100-day-old female chickens were categorized into high (n = 3) and low-fat chickens (n = 3) based on their abdominal fat ratios, and their abdominal fat tissues were processed for MeRIP-seq and RNA-seq. An integrated analysis of MeRIP-seq and RNA-seq omics data revealed 16 differentially expressed genes associated with to differential m6A modifications. Among them, ELOVL fatty acid elongase 2 (ELOVL2), pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase 4 (PDK4), fatty acid binding protein 9 (PMP2), fatty acid binding protein 1 (FABP1), lysosomal associated membrane protein 3 (LAMP3), lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT) and solute carrier family 2 member 1 (SLC2A1) have ever been reported to be associated with adipogenesis. Interestingly, LCAT was down-regulated and expressed along with decreased levels of mRNA methylation methylation in the low-fat group. Mechanistically, the highly expressed ALKBH5 gene regulates LCAT RNA demethylation and affects LCAT mRNA stability. In addition, LCAT inhibits preadipocyte proliferation and promotes preadipocyte differentiation, and plays a key role in adipogenesis. Conclusions: In conclusion, ALKBH5 mediates RNA stability of LCAT through demethylation and affects chicken adipogenesis. Background: Previous studies of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) focused on CEA measured at a single time point, ignoring serial CEA measurements. Methods: This retrospective cohort included 2959 patients underwent surgery for stage I-III NSCLC. CEA trajectory patterns and long-term cumulative CEA burden were evaluated using the latent class growth mixture model. Results: Four CEA trajectory groups were identified, named as low-stable, decreasing, early-rising and later-rising. Compared with the low-stable group, the adjusted hazard ratios associated with death were 1.27, 4.50, and 3.68 for the other groups. Cumulative CEA burden were positively associated with the risk of death in patients not belonging to the low-stable group. The 5-year overall survival (OS) rates decreased from 62.3% to 33.0% for the first and fourth quantile groups of cumulative CEA burden. Jointly, patients with decreasing CEA trajectory could be further divided into the decreasing & low and decreasing & high group, with 5-year OS rates to be 77.9% and 47.1%. Patients with rising CEA trajectory and high cumulative CEA were found to be more likely to develop bone metastasis. Conclusions: Longitudinal trajectory patterns and long-term cumulative burden of CEA were independent prognostic factors of NSCLC. We recommend CEA in postoperative surveillance of NSCLC. Multiphoton microscopy (MPM) enables deep brain imaging. Three optical windows: NIR‐I, NIR‐II, and NIR‐III are widely used. Recently, NIR‐IV (the 2200 nm window) has been demonstrated to be the last and longest window for deep tissue MPM. However, so far MPM covers only two optical windows labeled by single fluorescent probe, one for emission and one for excitation. Here we demonstrate in vivo deep brain MPM covering three optical windows, with emission at NIR‐I, NIR‐II, and excitation at NIR‐IV, labeled by ICG. The innovations include: (1) characterizing both 3‐photon excitation and emission properties of ICG emitting at both NIR‐I and NIR‐II, in water, plasma, and circulating blood; (2) a home‐built multiphoton microscope with simultaneous dual channel detection, with which we demonstrate deep brain MPM 950 μm (NIR‐I) and 850 μm (NIR‐II) into the mouse brain in vivo, verifying that multi‐optical window MPM is promising for deep brain imaging. Understanding user behavior via IP addresses is a crucial measure towards numerous pragmatic IP-based applications, including online content delivery, fraud prevention, marketing intelligence, and others. While profiling IP addresses through methods like IP geolocation and anomaly detection has been thoroughly studied, the function of an IP address—e.g., whether it pertains to a private enterprise network or a home broadband—remains underexplored. In this work, we initiate the first attempt to address the IP usage scenario classification problem. We collect data consisting of IP addresses from four large-scale regions. A novel continuous neural tree-based ensemble model is proposed to learn IP assignment rules and complex feature interactions. We conduct extensive experiments to evaluate our model in terms of classification accuracy and generalizability. Our results demonstrate that the proposed model is capable of efficiently uncovering significant higher-order feature interactions that enhance IP usage scenario classification, while also possessing the ability to generalize from the source region to the target one. Objective: Addressing the increasing global health issue of childhood obesity, exacerbated by pervasive food marketing, this study critically evaluated China's food marketing policies in comparison with international best practices, aiming to uncover policy content and implementation gaps and inform policy enhancement strategies. Method: Three key indicators were utilized from the Healthy Food–Environment Policy Index (Food–EPI)'s food promotion domain. A panel of experts (n = 13) from academic institutions, China Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the food industry assessed the Chinese government's policy scores and implementation levels concerning food marketing. Benchmarked against international best practices using the Food–EPI process, this evaluation encompassed context analysis, data collection, evidence-based policy action, government validation, policy rating, scoring, and results translation for government and stakeholders. The three chosen indicators specifically addressed childhood overweight- and obesity-related food marketing in broadcast media (Indicator 1), non-broadcast media (Indicator 2), and child gathering settings (Indicator 3). Results: Specifically, Indicator 1, the Single Food Marketing Indicator Score was measured at 2.31 ± 0.38, with an accompanying Food Marketing Policy Implementation Percentage of 46.2%, and Low Implementation Level. For non-broadcast mediums (Indicator 2), these metrics were gauged at 1.77 ± 0.27, 35.4%, and Low Implementation Level, respectively. In child gathering settings (Indicator 3), for efforts curbing unhealthy food promotion, a score of 2.77 ± 0.27, an implementation percentage of 55.4%, and Medium Implementation Level was obtained. Cumulatively, the overarching efficacy of food marketing policy enforcement was determined to be suboptimal, with the consolidated figures being Total Food Marketing Score as 2.28 ± 0.97, Total Food Marketing Policy Implementation Percentage as 45.6%, and Total Food Marketing Policy Implementation Level as Low. Conclusion: Like many countries, China's food marketing policies and implementation have room for improvement when compared to international best practices. Recommendations include emphasizing nutritional legislation, fostering stakeholder collaboration, bolstering public health campaigns, and leveraging technology for stringent enforcement. Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate the home food environment of the elderly in Beijing and analyze its association with the body mass index (BMI) of the elderly, as well as to provide recommendations for improving the home food environment for the elderly. Methods: This study was conducted in Beijing, China, in 2019. The participants were 1764 elderly individuals aged 65 to 80, recruited from 12 communities through a multistage stratified random sampling method. The study involved the use of questionnaire surveys to gather data on participants' demographics, the availability of various foods in their households, and their living conditions. Socioeconomic status (SES) was evaluated based on their educational level, occupation, and income level. Height and weight measurements were taken to calculate BMI. We conducted both univariate analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to evaluate the relationship between the home food environment and BMI. Results: A total of 1800 questionnaires were distributed, of which 1775 were retrieved, resulting in a questionnaire recovery rate of 98.6%. Among these, 1764 questionnaires were deemed valid, corresponding to a questionnaire validity rate of 99.4%. The participants had a mean age of 69.7 ± 4.3 years old, over 40% of whom were overweight or obese. In terms of low-energy/high-nutrient-density foods, the most readily available items were fresh vegetables (95.6%), followed by coarse grains (94.1%), fresh fruits (90.4%), and dairy products (83.6%). Among high-energy/low-nutrient-density foods, preserved foods were the most available (51.9%), followed by salted snacks (40.6%), sugary beverages (28.2%), and fried foods (9.4%). Approximately 7.3% of participants lived alone. Elderly individuals with higher SES had a lower BMI compared to those with medium to low SES (25.9 vs. 26.5, 25.9 vs. 26.4, p < 0.05). Those living alone had a higher BMI than those who did not (27.2 vs. 26.2, p = 0.001). After controlling for potential confounding variables, older adults with high SES exhibited a BMI reduction of 0.356 kg/m2 (p = 0.001), whereas those living alone exhibited an increase in BMI of 1.155 kg/m2 (p < 0.001). The presence of preserved foods at home was linked to a BMI increase of 0.442 kg/m2 (p = 0.008). Purpose: To explore the correlation between the initial recurrence site and survival after recurrence (PRS) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods: We collected 588 stages I–III NSCLC patients with recurrence after radical resection in Yunnan Cancer Hospital from January 2013 to December 2018. We used Kaplan–Meier survival curves to compare PRS in patients with different site recurrences. The univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazard models were used to analyze the impact of the initial recurrence site on PRS. Results: The recurrence site included the lung (n = 109), brain (n = 113), bone (n = 79), abdomen (n = 28), pleura (n = 24), lymph node (n = 81), and multisite (n = 154). In the total population, patients with multisite recurrence had substantially worse PRS (24.8 months, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 17.46–32.20) than that of patients without multiple sites recurrence (42.2 months, 95% CI 32.24–52.10) (P = 0.026). However, patients with lung recurrence had better RFS (63.1 months, 95% CI 51.13–74.00) than those who did not (31.0 months, 95% CI 25.10–36.96) (P < 0.001). In adenocarcinoma, patients with pleural recurrence had substantially worse PRS (21.3 months, 95% CI 15.07–27.46) than that of patients without pleural recurrence (46.9 months, 95% CI 35.07–58.80) (P = 0.031). Multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression analysis revealed that lung recurrence (HR 0.58, 95% CI 0.40–0.82; P = 0.003) was independent protective prognostic factor for PRS in the total population, while pleural recurrence (HR 2.18, 95% CI 1.14–4.17; P = 0.018) was independent adverse prognostic factors for PRS in adenocarcinoma patients. Three‐photon fluorescence (3PF) imaging excited at 1700 nm window is an enabling technology for visualizing deep brain structures and dynamics. Recently, the 2200 nm window has emerged as the longest excitation window suitable for deep‐brain 3PF imaging. Bright fluorescent probes lay the material basis for deep‐brain 3PF imaging. Among various fluorescent probes, aggregation‐induced emission luminogens (AIEgens) have great potential in 3PF imaging excited at the 1700 nm window in vivo. However, to the best of knowledge, there is no AIEgens applicable to 3PF imaging excited at both the 1700 and 2200 nm windows. To readily fill this gap, here this study designs and synthesizes a novel AIEgen, namely TPE‐DPTT‐ICP, which generates bright 3PF signals excited at both 1700 and 2200 nm. The accordingly fabricated TPE‐DPTT‐ICP nanoparticles (NPs) possess excellent water dispersibility, colloidal stability, biocompatibility, photostability and large 3P action cross section, key to in vivo imaging. In mouse brain in vivo, TPE‐DPTT‐ICP NPs enable deep‐brain 3PF imaging of subcortical structures excited at both the two windows, reaching depths of 1640 and 880 µm below the brain surface, respectively. Background: Accurately assessing the risk of recurrence in patients with locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC) before treatment is important for the development of treatment strategies. The purpose of this study is to develop an MRI-based scoring system to predict the risk of recurrence in patients with LARC. Methods: This was a multicenter observational study that enrolled participants who underwent neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. To evaluate the risk of recurrence in these patients, we developed the mrDEC scoring system and assessed inter-reader agreement. Additionally, we plotted Kaplan–Meier curves to compare the 3-year disease-free survival (DFS) and 5-year overall survival (OS) rates among patients with different mrDEC scores. Results: A total of 1287 patients with LARC were included in this study. We observed substantial inter-reader agreement for mrDEC. Based on the mrDEC scores ranging from 0 to 3, the patients were categorized into four groups. The 3-year DFS rates for the groups were 91.0%, 79.5%, 65.5%, and 44.0% (P < 0.0001), respectively, and the 5-year OS rates were 92.9%, 87.1%, 74.8%, and 44.5%, respectively (P < 0.0001). Objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of clinicopathological characteristics and computed tomography (CT) morphological features in predicting lymph node metastasis (LNM) for patients with T1 colorectal cancer (CRC). Methods: A total of 144 patients with T1 CRC who underwent CT scans and surgical resection were retrospectively included in our study. The clinicopathological characteristics and CT morphological features were assessed by two observers. Univariate and multiple logistic regression analyses were used to identify significant LNM predictive variables. Then a model was developed using the independent predictive factors. The predictive model was subjected to bootstrapping validation (1000 bootstrap resamples) to calculate the calibration curve and relative C-index. Results: LNM were found in 30/144 patients (20.83%). Four independent risk factors were determined in the multiple logistic regression analysis, including presence of necrosis (adjusted odds ratio [OR] = 10.32, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.96–54.3, p = 0.004), irregular outer border (adjusted OR = 5.94, 95% CI 1.39–25.45, p = 0.035), and heterogeneity enhancement (adjusted OR = 7.35, 95% CI 3.11–17.38, p = 0.007), as well as tumor location (adjusted ORright-sided colon = 0.05 [0.01–0.60], p = 0.018; adjusted ORrectum = 0.22 [0.06–0.83], p = 0.026). In the internal validation cohort, the model showed good calibration and good discrimination with a C-index of 0.89. Conclusions: There are significant associations between lymphatic metastasis status and tumor location as well as CT morphologic features in T1 CRC, which could help the doctor make decisions for additional surgery after endoscopic resection. The wind power forecasting (WPF) technology can reduce the adverse impact of wind power grid connection. Based on the characteristics of wind power data, an algorithm based on improved variational mode decomposition (IVMD) and long short-term memory (LSTM) Network is proposed to predict the wind power, and hyper parameter optimization search of LSTM using Whale Swarm Algorithm with Iterative Counter (WSA-IC). Firstly, through correlation analysis, the characteristics of 10 different wind power data are screened, and two kinds of data with large correlation with wind power are determined as input of the mode. Secondly, IVMD is used to calculate the maximum envelope kurtosis, determine the best decomposition parameters of the variational mode decomposition (VMD), and the original wind power and wind speed sequences are decomposed to obtain the IMF with different time scales. Finally, to address the problems of difficult optimization of hyper parameter and difficulty in obtaining optimal solutions for LSTM neural network modes, the WSA-IC algorithm is proposed to optimize its key hyper parameter, and the IVMD-WSA-IC-LSTM forecasting mode is established to obtain the short-term forecasting results of wind power. The algorithm is tested with the data of China Longyuan Power Group Corporation Limited. Compared with other common forecasting approaches using same data, the mean absolute error (MAE) of the forecasting approach is reduced to 0.007859, the mean square error (MSE) is reduced to 0.00011, and the determination coefficient is improved to 0.998828, which has higher forecasting accuracy. Background: It is common for elderly patients to be underrepresented in clinical trials for cancer, which can result in a lack of efficacy data and unclear criteria to guide treatment decisions for clinical doctors. Therefore, one of the common challenges in oncology treatment is determining the extent to which patients aged 75 and older have benefited from postoperative chemotherapy.Purpose: The study aimed to explore the effect of adjuvant chemotherapy (AC) on 3-year recurrence-free survival (RFS) after curative resection in patients aged 75 years and older with stage II–III colorectal cancer (CRC).Methods: The retrospective cohort analysis was performed on patients with stage II–III CRC who received curative resection at three cancer centers in China between 2008 and 2017. Kaplan-Meier curves and Multivariable Cox regression models were used to analyze the impact of AC on RFS in patients. Finally, propensity-score matching was used to reduce selection bias and confounding factors in patients aged 75 years and older with stage II–III CRC.Results: A total of 2885 patients were included (1729 (59.9%) male; 1312 (61.5%) received AC). The pre-matching cohort was comprised of 151 patients aged 75 years and older (median age (IQR)77.00 (76.00, 79.00); 97 (64.2%) male, 51 (72.9%) received AC). Age (P=0.001), postoperative carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA)(P=0.02) level were associated with prognosis. But AC was not associated with 3-year RFS (HR, 1.27; 95% CI, 0.80– 2.0; log-rank P=0.37). After a predisposition 1: 1 match (with or without AC, n = 42), AC remains uncorrelated with 3-year RFS (HR, 1.39; 95% CI, 0.52– 3.70; log-rank P=0.66).Conclusion: Patients over the age of 75 with stage II–III CRC who receive AC or do not face the same risk of postoperative recurrence. As a result, patients with stage II–III postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy can make an informed decision regarding whether they want to undergo chemotherapy based on their age and reduce the unnecessary side effects of chemotherapy. Towards intracellular engineering of living organisms, the development of new biocompatible polymerization system applicable for an intrinsically non-natural macromolecules synthesis for modulating living organism function/behavior is a key step. Herein, we find that the tyrosine residues in the cofactor-free proteins can be employed to mediate controlled radical polymerization under 405 nm light. A proton-coupled electron transfer (PCET) mechanism between the excited-state TyrOH* residue in proteins and the monomer or the chain transfer agent is confirmed. By using Tyr-containing proteins, a wide range of well-defined polymers are successfully generated. Especially, the developed photopolymerization system shows good biocompatibility, which can achieve in-situ extracellular polymerization from the surface of yeast cells for agglutination/anti-agglutination functional manipulation or intracellular polymerization inside yeast cells, respectively. Besides providing a universal aqueous photopolymerization system, this study should contribute a new way to generate various non-natural polymers in vitro or in vivo to engineer living organism functions and behaviours. Developing a biocompatible polymerization system applicable for the synthesis of intrinsically non-natural polymers is a key step towards intracellular engineering of living organism. CircRNAs are newly identified special endogenous RNA molecules that covalently close a loop by back-splicing with pre-mRNA. In the cytoplasm, circRNAs would act as molecular sponges to bind with specific miRNA to promote the expression of target genes. However, knowledge of circRNA functional alternation in skeletal myogenesis is still in its infancy. In this study, we identified a circRNA–miRNA–mRNA interaction network in which the axis may be implicated in the progression of chicken primary myoblasts' (CPMs) myogenesis by multi-omics (i.e., circRNA-seq and ribo-seq). In total, 314 circRNA–miRNA–mRNA regulatory axes containing 66 circRNAs, 70 miRNAs, and 24 mRNAs that may be relevant to myogenesis were collected. With these, the circPLXNA2-gga-miR-12207-5P-MDM4 axis aroused our research interest. The circPLXNA2 is highly differentially expressed during differentiation versus proliferation. It was demonstrated that circPLXNA2 inhibited the process of apoptosis while at the same time stimulating cell proliferation. Furthermore, we demonstrated that circPLXNA2 could inhibit the repression of gga-miR-12207-5p to MDM4 by directing binding to gga-miR-12207-5p, thereby restoring MDM4 expression. In conclusion, circPLXNA2 could function as a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) to recover the function of MDM4 by directing binding to gga-miR-12207-5p, thereby regulating the myogenesis. Background: Current prognostic prediction models of colorectal cancer (CRC) include only the preoperative measurement of tumor markers, with their available repeated postoperative measurements underutilized. CRC prognostic prediction models were constructed in this study to clarify whether and to what extent the inclusion of perioperative longitudinal measurements of CEA, CA19-9, and CA125 can improve the model performance, and perform a dynamic prediction. Methods: The training and validating cohort included 1453 and 444 CRC patients who underwent curative resection, with preoperative measurement and two or more measurements within 12 months after surgery, respectively. Prediction models to predict CRC overall survival were constructed with demographic and clinicopathological variables, by incorporating preoperative CEA, CA19-9, and CA125, as well as their perioperative longitudinal measurements. Results: In internal validation, the model with preoperative CEA, CA19-9, and CA125 outperformed the model including CEA only, with the better area under the receiver operating characteristic curves (AUCs: 0.774 vs 0.716), brier scores (BSs: 0.057 vs 0.058), and net reclassification improvement (NRI = 33.5%, 95% CI: 12.3 ~ 54.8%) at 36 months after surgery. Furthermore, the prediction models, by incorporating longitudinal measurements of CEA, CA19-9, and CA125 within 12 months after surgery, had improved prediction accuracy, with higher AUC (0.849) and lower BS (0.049). Compared with preoperative models, the model incorporating longitudinal measurements of the three markers had significant NRI (40.8%, 95% CI: 19.6 to 62.1%) at 36 months after surgery. External validation showed similar results to internal validation. The proposed longitudinal prediction model can provide a personalized dynamic prediction for a new patient, with estimated survival probability updated when a new measurement is collected during 12 months after surgery. Conclusions: Prediction models including longitudinal measurements of CEA, CA19-9, and CA125 have improved accuracy in predicting the prognosis of CRC patients. Background and Purpose: Pain is one of the most common symptoms in patients after stroke. It is a distressing experience that affects patients' quality of life, and it is highly prevalent in clinical practice. The pathogenesis mechanisms of PSP are not so clear, and there is currently a lack of effective medical treatments, hence it is necessary to establish a sufficient understanding of this disease. Limited number of studies have applied bibliometric methods to systematically analyze studies on post-stroke pain. This study aimed to systematically analyze scientific studies conducted worldwide on post-stroke pain from 2012 to 2021 to evaluate global trends in this field using a bibliometric analysis. Methods: Publications related to post-stroke pain from 2012 to 2021 were obtained from the Web of Science Core Collection database. Bibliometrics Biblioshiny R-package software was used to analyze the relationship of publication year with country, institution, journals, authors, and keywords and to generate variant visual maps to show annual publications, most relevant countries, authors, sources, keywords, and top-cited articles. Results: In this study, 5484 papers met the inclusion criteria. The annual growth rate of publications was 5.13%. The USA had the highest number of publications (1381, 25.2%) and citations (36,395), and the University of Toronto had the highest number of papers (156, 2.8%). "Stroke", "management", "pain", "risk", "prevalence", "ischemic stroke", "risk factors", "disease", "diagnosis" and "therapy" are the top 10 keywords. Conclusion: The global research interest regarding PSP has maintained growing over the past ten years. Both central post stroke pain and hemiplegic shoulder pain are the hottest research subjects. Further investigations are needed in order to reveal the mystery of the pathophysiologic mechanisms of CPSP, and high-quality well-designed trials of potential treatments of CPSP and HSP are also needed. Background: Tumor histomorphology analysis plays a crucial role in predicting the prognosis of resectable lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). Computer-extracted image texture features have been previously shown to be correlated with outcome. However, a comprehensive, quantitative, and interpretable predictor remains to be developed. Methods: In this multi-center study, we included patients with resectable LUAD from four independent cohorts. An automated pipeline was designed for extracting texture features from the tumor region in hematoxylin and eosin (H&E)-stained whole slide images (WSIs) at multiple magnifications. A multi-scale pathology image texture signature (MPIS) was constructed with the discriminative texture features in terms of overall survival (OS) selected by the LASSO method. The prognostic value of MPIS for OS was evaluated through univariable and multivariable analysis in the discovery set (n = 111) and the three external validation sets (V1, n = 115; V2, n = 116; and V3, n = 246). We constructed a Cox proportional hazards model incorporating clinicopathological variables and MPIS to assess whether MPIS could improve prognostic stratification. We also performed histo-genomics analysis to explore the associations between texture features and biological pathways. Results: A set of eight texture features was selected to construct MPIS. In multivariable analysis, a higher MPIS was associated with significantly worse OS in the discovery set (HR 5.32, 95%CI 1.72–16.44; P = 0.0037) and the three external validation sets (V1: HR 2.63, 95%CI 1.10–6.29, P = 0.0292; V2: HR 2.99, 95%CI 1.34–6.66, P = 0.0075; V3: HR 1.93, 95%CI 1.15–3.23, P = 0.0125). The model that integrated clinicopathological variables and MPIS had better discrimination for OS compared to the clinicopathological variables-based model in the discovery set (C-index, 0.837 vs. 0.798) and the three external validation sets (V1: 0.704 vs. 0.679; V2: 0.728 vs. 0.666; V3: 0.696 vs. 0.669). Furthermore, the identified texture features were associated with biological pathways, such as cytokine activity, structural constituent of cytoskeleton, and extracellular matrix structural constituent. Conclusions: MPIS was an independent prognostic biomarker that was robust and interpretable. Integration of MPIS with clinicopathological variables improved prognostic stratification in resectable LUAD and might help enhance the quality of individualized postoperative care. Background: The biological phenotype of tumours evolves during neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). Accurate prediction of pathological complete response (pCR) to NAC in the early-stage or posttreatment can optimize treatment strategies or improve the breast-conserving rate. This study aimed to develop and validate an autosegmentation-based serial ultrasonography assessment system (SUAS) that incorporated serial ultrasonographic features throughout the NAC of breast cancer to predict pCR.Methods: A total of 801 patients with biopsy-proven breast cancer were retrospectively enrolled from three institutions and were split into a training cohort (242 patients), an internal validation cohort (197 patients), and two external test cohorts (212 and 150 patients). Three imaging signatures were constructed from the serial ultrasonographic features before (pretreatment signature), during the first-second cycle of (early-stage treatment signature), and after (posttreatment signature) NAC based on autosegmentation by U-net. The SUAS was constructed by subsequently integrating the pre, early-stage, and posttreatment signatures, and the incremental performance was analysed.Results: The SUAS yielded a favourable performance in predicting pCR, with areas under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUCs) of 0.927 [95% confidence interval (CI) 0.891-0.963] and 0.914 (95% CI 0.853-0.976), compared with those of the clinicopathological prediction model [0.734 (95% CI 0.665-0.804) and 0.610 (95% CI 0.504-0.716)], and radiologist interpretation [0.632 (95% CI 0.570-0.693) and 0.724 (95% CI 0.644-0.804)] in the external test cohorts. Furthermore, similar results were also observed in the early-stage treatment of NAC [AUC 0.874 (0.793-0.955)-0.897 (0.851-0.943) in the external test cohorts].Conclusions: We demonstrate that autosegmentation-based SAUS integrating serial ultrasonographic features throughout NAC can predict pCR with favourable performance, which can facilitate individualized treatment strategies. Simple Summary: Patients with high expression of CXCL8 are not sensitive to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) treatment, but the mechanism is unclear. LSECtin is the immune checkpoint ligand of LAG3, and is considered as an important factor of ICIs resistance. This study confirmed the role of CXCL8 and LSECtin in immune microenvironment modulation of colon cancer. The expression of CXCL8 is positively correlated with more than 40 immune checkpoints. CXCL8 could up-regulate LSECtin through AKT signal and promoted the proliferation and invasion ability of colon cancer. The relationship between the expression of CXCL8 or LSECtin and immune cells infiltration, Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway, Gene Ontology (GO) items, stromal score, Estimation of STromal and Immune cells in MAlignant Tumours (ESTIMAT) immune score, tumor mutation burden (TMB), mismatch repair gene and immune checkpoints expression were analyzed by Spearman. The effects of CXCL8 on LSECtin expression, proliferation, and invasion ability were clarified by recombinant CXCL8 or CXCL8 interfering RNA. Results: In colon cancer, the expression of CXCL8 was higher, but LSECtin was lower than that in normal mucosa. The expression of CXCL8 or LSECtin was significantly positively correlated with immune cells infiltration, stromal score, ESTIMATE immune score, TMB, and immune checkpoints expression. The expression of LSECtin was closely related to the cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction pathway and response of chemokine function, such as CXCL8/CXCR1/2 pathway. There was a significant positive correlation between the expression of CXCL8 and LSECtin in colon cancer. CXCL8 up-regulated LSECtin through AKT signal and promoted the proliferation and invasion ability of colon cancer. Background: Accurate pre-treatment prediction of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) resistance in patients with locally advanced gastric cancer (LAGC) is essential for timely surgeries and optimized treatments. We aim to evaluate the effectiveness of deep learning (DL) on computed tomography (CT) images in predicting NACT resistance in LAGC patients. Methods: A total of 633 LAGC patients receiving NACT from three hospitals were included in this retrospective study. The training and internal validation cohorts were randomly selected from center 1, comprising 242 and 104 patients, respectively. The external validation cohort 1 comprised 128 patients from center 2, and the external validation cohort 2 comprised 159 patients from center 3. First, a DL model was developed using ResNet-50 to predict NACT resistance in LAGC patients, and the gradient-weighted class activation mapping (Grad-CAM) was assessed for visualization. Then, an integrated model was constructed by combing the DL signature and clinical characteristics. Finally, the performance was tested in internal and external validation cohorts using area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves (AUC). Results: The DL model achieved AUCs of 0.808 (95% CI 0.724–0.893), 0.755 (95% CI 0.660–0.850), and 0.752 (95% CI 0.678–0.825) in validation cohorts, respectively, which were higher than those of the clinical model. Furthermore, the integrated model performed significantly better than the clinical model (P < 0.05). Conclusions: A CT-based model using DL showed promising performance for predicting NACT resistance in LAGC patients, which could provide valuable information in terms of individualized treatment. Objective: Whether preoperative serum carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9) is an independent prognostic factor and there are interactions of serum CA19-9 with carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) on the risk of recurrence in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients are still not clarified.Methods: Consecutive patients with CRC who underwent curative resection for stage II-III colorectal adenocarcinoma at five hospitals were collected. Based on Cox models, associations of preoperative CA19-9 with recurrence-free survival (RFS) and overall survival (OS) were evaluated in patients with or without elevated CEA, and interactions between CEA and CA19-9 were also calculated. Restricted cubic spline (RCS) curves were used to evaluate the associations between preoperative CA19-9 and CRC outcomes on a continuous scale.Results: A total of 5048 patients (3029 [60.0%] men; median [interquartile range, IQR] age, 61.0 [51.0, 68.0] years; median [IQR] follow-up duration 46.8 [36.5-62.4] months) were included. The risk of recurrence increased with the elevated level of preoperative CA19-9, with the slope steeper in patients with normal CEA than those with elevated CEA. Worse RFS was observed for elevated preoperative CA19-9 (> 37 U/mL) (n = 738) versus normal preoperative CA19-9 (≤ 37 U/mL) (n = 4310) (3-year RFS rate: 59.4% versus 78.0%; unadjusted hazard ratio [HR]: 2.02; 95% confidence interval [CI]:1.79 to 2.28), and significant interaction was found between CA19-9 and CEA (P for interaction = 0.001). Increased risk and interaction with CEA were also observed for OS. In the Cox multivariable analysis, elevated CA19-9 was associated with shorter RFS and OS regardless of preoperative CEA level, even after adjustment for other prognostic factors (HR: 2.08, 95% CI:1.75 to 2.47; HR: 2.25, 95% CI:1.80 to 2.81). Subgroup analyses and sensitivity analyses yielded largely similar results. These associations were maintained in patients with stage II disease (n = 2724).Conclusions: Preoperative CA19-9 is an independent prognostic factor in CRC patients. Temperature-sensitive and flexible nanocomposite films are prepared by doping a poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) matrix with cobalt oxide (Co3O4) nanoparticles. The structural and morphological characterization, dielectric properties, and conductivity of the Co3O4/PVDF nanocomposites are then systematically investigated. The nanocomposite film loaded with 10 wt.% Co3O4 displays dielectric permittivity of 37 at 1 kHz, which is about 274% higher than that of pristine PVDF (13.5 at 1 kHz). The dielectric constant of the 10 wt.% Co3O4/PVDF nanocomposite as a function of absolute temperature can be fitted as T = 26.62 × ln (ε r - 40.595) / 1.335 × 10 - 5 over a range of 300–423 K at 1 kHz. This fitting formula may provide important reference values for the design of flexible temperature sensors. The temperature coefficient of the dielectric constant (at 1 kHz) for the 10 wt.% Co3O4/PVDF nanocomposite film is 0.94% K−1 within a range of 350–423 K, and conductivity of about 5.78 × 10 −5 S/cm is achieved at 383 K, which is four orders of magnitude larger than that for the pristine PVDF (3.9 × 10−9 S/cm). These results show that the addition of Co3O4 nanoparticles in PVDF matrix significantly improves the dielectric constant and temperature sensitivity of the composites. Making the financial industry a solider mainstay of the real economy is of great concern for China in the midst of economic reform. For China, leveraging venture capital (VC) to enhance a firm's technological innovation capability (TIC) is an important means of actualising its innovation and development strategy, as well as a must-do to realise sustainable development. In this study, firms that went public from 2010 to 2020 on the A-stock market were used as samples to study the effects of VC on TIC and the relevant mechanism based on the difference-in-differences (DID) method. As research findings show, VC can improve TIC through the medium of the internal incentive and external constraint easing effects. The contributory role of VC in TIC varies with firm size, ownership, and industry type. A range of robustness tests, including the PSM, variable substitution, and instrumental variable methods, further strengthened the reliability of the conclusions. This study can enlighten policymakers on how to implement comprehensive resource factor market reform to build a favourable innovation environment that materialises the role of marketisation. Disuse muscle atrophy is identified as the physiological, biochemical, morphological, and functional changes during restricted movement, immobilization, or weightlessness. Although its internal mechanism has been extensively studied in mammals and was thought to be mainly related to oxidative stress, it was unclear whether it behaved consistently in non-mammals such as chickens. In this study, we tried to construct a disuse atrophy model of the gastrocnemius muscle in chickens by limb immobilization, and collected the gastrocnemius muscles of the fixed group and the control group for RNA sequencing. Through analysis of muscle loss, HE staining, immunohistochemistry, and oxidative stress level, we found that limb immobilization could lead to loss of muscle mass, decrease in muscle fiber diameter, decrease in the proportion of slow muscle fibers, and increase in the proportion of fast muscle fibers, and also cause elevated levels of oxidative stress. In addition, a total of 565 different expression genes (DEGs) were obtained by RNA sequencing, which was significantly enriched in the biological processes such as cell proliferation and apoptosis, reactive oxygen species metabolism, and fast and slow muscle fiber transformation, and it showed that the FOXO signaling pathway, closely related to muscle atrophy, was activated. In brief, we initially confirmed that limb immobilization could induce disuse atrophy of skeletal muscle, and oxidative stress was involved in the process of disuse muscle atrophy. Objective: This study aimed to develop an artificial intelligence model for predicting the pathological complete response (pCR) to neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT) of locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC) using digital pathological images. Background: nCRT followed by total mesorectal excision (TME) is a standard treatment strategy for patients with LARC. Predicting the PCR to nCRT of LARC remine difficulty. Methods: 842 LARC patients treated with standard nCRT from three medical centers were retrospectively recruited and subgrouped into the training, testing and external validation sets. Treatment response was classified as pCR and non-pCR based on the pathological diagnosis after surgery as the ground truth. The hematoxylin & eosin (H&E)-stained biopsy slides were manually annotated and used to develop a deep pathological complete response (DeepPCR) prediction model by deep learning. Results: The proposed DeepPCR model achieved an AUC-ROC of 0.710 (95% CI: 0.595, 0.808) in the testing cohort. Similarly, in the external validation cohort, the DeepPCR model achieved an AUC-ROC of 0.723 (95% CI: 0.591, 0.844). The sensitivity and specificity of the DeepPCR model were 72.6% and 46.9% in the testing set and 72.5% and 62.7% in the external validation cohort, respectively. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the DeepPCR model was an independent predictive factor of nCRT (P =0.008 and P =0.004 for the testing set and external validation set, respectively). Conclusions: The DeepPCR model showed high accuracy in predicting pCR and served as an independent predictive factor for pCR. Background: High immune infiltration is associated with favourable prognosis in patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), but an automated workflow for characterizing immune infiltration, with high validity and reliability, remains to be developed.Methods: We performed a multicentre retrospective study of patients with completely resected NSCLC. We developed an image analysis workflow for automatically evaluating the density of CD3+ and CD8+ T-cells in the tumour regions on immunohistochemistry (IHC)-stained whole-slide images (WSIs), and proposed an immune scoring system "I-score" based on the automated assessed cell density.Results: A discovery cohort (n = 145) and a validation cohort (n = 180) were used to assess the prognostic value of the I-score for disease-free survival (DFS). The I-score (two-category) was an independent prognostic factor after adjusting for other clinicopathologic factors. Compared with a low I-score (two-category), a high I-score was associated with significantly superior DFS in the discovery cohort (adjusted hazard ratio [HR], 0.54; 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.33-0.86; P = 0.010) and validation cohort (adjusted HR, 0.57; 95% CI 0.36-0.92; P = 0.022). The I-score improved the prognostic stratification when integrating it into the Cox proportional hazard regression models with other risk factors (discovery cohort, C-index 0.742 vs. 0.728; validation cohort, C-index 0.695 vs. 0.685).Conclusion: This automated workflow and immune scoring system would advance the clinical application of immune microenvironment evaluation and support the clinical decision making for patients with resected NSCLC. Background: The Crohn's-like lymphoid reaction (CLR) is manifested as peritumoral lymphocytes aggregation in colon cancer, which is a major component of the host immune response to cancer. However, the lack of a unified and objective CLR evaluation standard limits its clinical application. We, therefore, developed a deep learning model for the fully automated CLR density quantification on routine hematoxylin and eosin (HE)-stained whole-slide images (WSIs) and further investigated its prognostic validity for patient stratification. Methods: The CLR density was calculated by using a deep learning method on HE-stained WSIs. A training (N = 279) and a validation (N = 194) cohorts were used to evaluate the prognostic value of CLR density for overall survival (OS). Result: The fully automated quantified CLR density was an independent prognostic factor, with high CLR density associated with increased OS in the discovery (HR 0.58, 95% CI 0.38–0.89, P = 0.012) and validation cohort (0.45, 0.23–0.88, 0.020). Integrating CLR density into a Cox model with other risk factors showed improved prognostic capability. Conclusion: We developed a new immune indicator (CLR density) quantified by a deep learning method to evaluate the lymphocytes aggregation in colon cancer. The CLR density was demonstrated its predictive value for OS in two independent cohorts. This approach allows for the objective and standardized quantification while reducing pathologists' workload. Background: Despite the well-known role of immunoscore, as a prognostic tool, that appeared to be superior to tumor–node–metastasis (TNM) staging system, no prognostic scoring system based on immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining digital image analysis has been established in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Hence, we aimed to develop and validate an immune-based prognostic risk score (IMPRS) that could markedly improve individualized prediction of postsurgical survival in patients with resected NSCLC. Methods: In this retrospective study, complete resection of NSCLC (stage I–IIIA) was performed for two independent patient cohorts (discovery cohort, n=168; validation cohort, n=115). Initially, paraffin-embedded resected specimens were stained by immunohistochemistry (IHC) of three immune cell types (CD3+, CD4+, and CD8+ T cells), and a total of 5,580 IHC-immune features were extracted from IHC digital images for each patient by using fully automated pipeline. Then, an IHC-immune signature was constructed with selected features using the LASSO Cox analysis, and the association of signature with patients' overall survival (OS) was analyzed by Kaplan–Meier method. Finally, IMPRS was established by incorporating IHC-immune signature and independent clinicopathological variables in multivariable Cox regression analysis. Furthermore, an external validation cohort was included to validate this prognostic risk score. Results: Eight key IHC-immune features were selected for the construction of IHC-immune signature, which showed significant associations with OS in all cohorts [discovery: hazard ratio (HR)=11.518, 95%CI, 5.444–24.368; validation: HR=2.664, 95%CI, 1.029–6.896]. Multivariate analyses revealed IHC-immune signature as an independent prognostic factor, and age, T stage, and N stage were also identified and entered into IMPRS (all p <0.001). IMPRS had good discrimination ability for predicting OS (C-index, 0.869; 95%CI, 0.861–0.877), confirmed using external validation cohort (0.731, 0.717–0.745). Interestingly, IMPRS had better prognostic value than clinicopathological-based model and TNM staging system termed as C-index (clinicopathological-based model: 0.674; TNM staging: 0.646, all p <0.05). More importantly, decision curve analysis showed that IMPRS had adequate performance for predicting OS in resected NSCLC patients. Conclusions: Our findings indicate that the IMPRS that we constructed can provide more accurate prognosis for individual prediction of OS for patients with resected NSCLC, which can help in guiding personalized therapy and improving outcomes for patients. Background: Sensitivity to neoadjuvant chemotherapy in locally advanced gastric cancer patients varies; however, an effective predictive marker is currently lacking. We aimed to propose and validate a practical treatment efficacy prediction method based on contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT) radiomics. Method: Data of l24 locally advanced gastric carcinoma patients who underwent neoadjuvant chemotherapy were acquired retrospectively between December 2012 and August 2020 from three different cancer centers. In total, 1216 radiomics features were initially extracted from each lesion's pretreatment portal venous phase computed tomography image. Subsequently, a radiomics predictive model was constructed using machine learning software. Clinicopathological data and radiological parameters of the enrolled patients were collected and analyzed retrospectively. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to screen for independent predictive indices. Finally, we developed an integrated model combining clinicopathological predictive parameters and radiomics features. Result: In the training set, 10 (14.9%) patients achieved a good response (GR) after preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy (n = 77), whereas in the testing set, seven (17.5%) patients achieved a GR (n = 47). The radiomics predictive model showed competitive prediction efficacy in both the training and independent external validation sets. The areas under the curve (AUC) values were 0.827 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.609–1.000) and 0.854 (95% CI: 0.610–1.000), respectively. Similarly, when only the single hospital data were included as an independent external validation set (testing set 2), AUC values of the models were 0.827 (95% CI: 0.650–0.952) and 0.889 (95% CI: 0.663–1.000) in the training set and testing set 2, respectively. Conclusion: Our study is the first to discover that CECT radiomics could provide powerful and consistent predictions of therapeutic sensitivity to neoadjuvant chemotherapy among gastric cancer patients across different hospitals. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a dramatic reshaping of passenger risk perception for airline industry. The sharp increase in risk aversion by air passenger has caused a disastrous impact on the tourism service industry, particularly airline industry. Although the existing literature has provided a lot of studies on the impact of the pandemic on travel industry, there are very few studies discussing the impact of change in passenger risk perception on the stock market performance of airline industry. This study considers two types of airline companies, full-service and low-cost. In order to overcome the traditional problem of the Chow test, Quandt–Andrews test is used to identify structural change points during the pandemic in the stock prices of United States airline companies. The result shows that an industry-wide structural change in the stock market performance indeed is found to take place during the pandemic for United States airline companies. Meanwhile, no significant difference is found in the structural change date between the two types of airline companies. The selected airline companies are found to be clustered toward the end of 2020 (November and December) in their structural change dates. Although the strike of the COVID-19 pandemic on airline industry has proven to be widespread and profound, our investigation implies that air passengers have gradually adapted to the new normal of travel activities at some level and partly rebuild their sense of safety under the strict epidemic-control measures. Purpose: Accumulating evidence revealed the predictive value of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) for neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT) response in solid tumors. This study quantified TILs density using hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) stained whole-slide images (WSIs) and investigated the predictive value of TILs density on nCRT response in locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC) patients. Patients and Methods: Two hundred and ten patients diagnosed with LARC were enrolled in this study. The density of TILs in the stroma region was quantified by a semi-automatic method in WSIs. Patients were stratified into low-TILs and high-TILs groups using the median value as the threshold. The tumor regression grade (TRG) was used to assess the response to nCRT in tumor resected specimens. Based on TRG, patients were classified into major-responder (TRG 0– 1) and non-responder (TRG 2– 3) groups. Results: The TILs density was significantly correlated with the nCRT response. Specifically, patients with high-TILs tend to have a higher major-responder rate than the low-TILs group (63.8% vs 47.6%, P = 0.026). Univariate analysis showed the TILs density was a predictor for the nCRT response (high vs low, odds ratio [OR] =1.94, 95% confidence interval 1.12– 3.37, P = 0.019), and multivariate analysis further confirmed the correlation (adjusted odds ratio [AOR] = 2.41, 1.28– 4.56, P = 0.007). Conclusion: Patients with a high-TIL density have a higher major-responder rate than the low-TILs group, indicating patients with a strong immune response benefit more from nCRT. Background: Profound heterogeneity in prognosis has been observed in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients with intermediate levels of disease (stage II–III), advocating the identification of valuable biomarkers that could improve the prognostic stratification. This study aims to develop a deep learning-based pipeline for fully automatic quantification of immune infiltration within the stroma region on immunohistochemical (IHC) whole-slide images (WSIs) and further analyze its prognostic value in CRC. Methods: Patients from two independent cohorts were divided into three groups: the development group (N = 200), the internal (N = 134), and the external validation group (N = 90). We trained a convolutional neural network for tissue classification of CD3 and CD8 stained WSIs. A scoring system, named stroma-immune score, was established by quantifying the density of CD3+ and CD8+ T-cells infiltration in the stroma region. Results: Patients with higher stroma-immune scores had much longer survival. In the development group, 5-year survival rates of the low and high scores were 55.7% and 80.8% (hazard ratio [HR] for high vs. low 0.39, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.24–0.63, P < 0.001). These results were confirmed in the internal and external validation groups with 5-year survival rates of low and high scores were 57.1% and 78.8%, 63.9% and 88.9%, respectively (internal: HR for high vs. low 0.49, 95% CI 0.28–0.88, P = 0.017; external: HR for high vs. low 0.35, 95% CI 0.15–0.83, P = 0.018). The combination of stroma-immune score and tumor-node-metastasis (TNM) stage showed better discrimination ability for survival prediction than using the TNM stage alone. Conclusions: We proposed a stroma-immune score via a deep learning-based pipeline to quantify CD3+ and CD8+ T-cells densities within the stroma region on WSIs of CRC and further predict survival. Background: Whether elevated postoperative serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) levels are prognostic in patients with stage II colorectal cancer (CRC) remains controversial. Patients and Methods: Primary and sensitivity analysis populations were obtained from a retrospective, multicenter longitudinal cohort including consecutive patients without neoadjuvant treatment undergoing curative resection for stage I–III CRC. Serum CEA levels before (CEApre-m1) and within 1 (CEApost-m1), 2–3 (CEApost-m2–3), and 4–6 months (CEApost-m4–6) after surgery were obtained, and their associations with recurrence-free survival (RFS) and overall survival (OS) were assessed using Cox regression. Sensitivity and subgroup analyses were performed. Results: Primary and sensitivity analysis populations included 710 [415 men; age, 54.8 (11.6) years] and 1556 patients [941 men; age, 56.2 (11.8) years], respectively. Recurrence hazard ratios (HRs) in the elevated CEApre-m1, CEApost-m1, CEApost-m2–3, and CEApost-m4–6 groups were 1.30 (95% CI: 0.91–1.85), 1.53 (95% CI: 0.89–2.62), 1.88 (95% CI: 1.08–3.28), and 1.15 (95% CI: 0.91–1.85), respectively. The HRs of the elevated CEApre-m1, CEApost-m1, CEApost-m2–3, and CEApost-m4–6 groups for OS were 1.09 (95% CI: 0.60–1.97), 2.78 (95% CI: 1.34–5.79), 2.81 (95% CI: 1.25–6.30), and 3.30 (95% CI: 1.67–.536), respectively. Adjusted multivariate analyses showed that both in the primary and sensitivity analysis populations, elevated CEApost-m2–3, rather than CEApre-m1, CEApost-m1, and CEApost-m4–6, was an independent risk factor for recurrence, but not for OS. The RFS in the elevated and normal CEApost-m2–3 groups differed significantly among patients with stage II disease [n = 266; HR, 2.89; 95% CI, 1.02–8.24 (primary analysis); n = 612; HR, 2.69; 95% CI, 1.34–5.38 (sensitivity analysis)]. Inspired by the unique characteristics of living cells, the creation of life‐inspired functional ensembles is a rapidly expanding research topic, enabling transformative applications in various disciplines. Herein, we report a facile method for the fabrication of phospholipid and block copolymer hybrid bi‐microcompartments via spontaneous asymmetric assembly at the water/tributyrin interface, whereby the temperature‐mediated dewetting of the inner microcompartments allowed for exocytosis to occur in the constructed system. The exocytosis location and commencement time could be controlled by the buoyancy of the inner microcompartment and temperature, respectively. Furthermore, the constructed bi‐microcompartments showed excellent biocompatibility and a universal loading capacity toward cargoes of widely ranging sizes; thus, the proliferation and temperature‐programmed transportation of living organisms was achieved. Our results highlight opportunities for the development of complex mesoscale dynamic ensembles with life‐inspired behaviors and provide a novel platform for on‐demand transport of various living organisms. Objectives: To explore the usefulness of spleen radiomics features based on contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT) in predicting early and late recurrences of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients after curative resection. Methods: This retrospective study included 237 HCC patients who underwent CECT and curative resection between January 2006 to January 2016. Radiomic features were extracted from CECT images, and then the spleen radiomics signatures and the tumor radiomics signatures were built. Cox regression analysis was performed to identify the independent risk factors of early and late recurrences. Then, multiple models were built to predict the recurrence-free survival of HCC after resection, and the incremental value of the radiomics signature to the clinicopathologic model was assessed and validated. Kaplan–Meier survival analysis was used to assess the association of the models with RFS. Results: The spleen radiomics signature was independent risk factor of early recurrence of HCC. The mixed model that integrated microvascular invasion, tumor radiomics signature and spleen radiomics signature for the prediction of early recurrence achieved the highest C-index of 0.780 (95% CI: 0.728,0.831) in the primary cohort and 0.776 (95% CI: 0.716,0.836) in the validation cohort, and presented better predictive performance than clinicopathological model and combined model. In the analysis of late recurrence, the spleen radiomics signature was the only prognostic factor associated with late recurrence of HCC. Conclusions: The identified spleen radiomics signatures are prognostic factors of both early and late recurrences of HCC patients after surgery and improve the predictive performance of model for early recurrence. Background: At present, the most effective and mature treatment after ACL injury and tear is ACL reconstruction, but the rehabilitation process after ACL reconstruction that is very long, so it is very important to find early MRI positive findings of knee instability.Methods: We retrospectively collected the clinical and imaging data of 70 patients who underwent ACL reconstruction from January 2016 to December 2019; Based on clinical criteria, the patients were divided into a stable group (n = 57) and an unstable group (n = 13); We measured the MRI imaging evaluation indexes, including the position of the bone tunnel, graft status, and the anatomical factors; Statistical methods were used to compare the differences of imaging evaluation indexes between the two groups; The prediction equation was constructed and ROC curve was used to compare the prediction efficiency of independent prediction factors and prediction equation.Results: There were significant differences in the abnormal position of tibial tunnel entrance, percentage of the position of tibial tunnel entrance, position of tibial tunnel exit, lateral tibial posterior slope (LTPS), width of intercondylar notch between stable knee joint group and unstable knee joint group after ACL reconstruction (P < 0.05); The position of tibial tunnel exits and the lateral tibial posterior slope (LTPS) and the sagittal obliquity of the graft were independent predictors among surgical factors and self-anatomical factors (P < 0.05); The prediction equation of postoperative knee stability was established: Logit(P) = -1.067-0.231*position of tibial tunnel exit + 0.509*lateral tibial posterior slope (LTPS)-2.105*sagittal obliquity of the graft; The prediction equation predicted that the AUC of knee instability was 0.915, the sensitivity was 84.6%, and the specificity was 91.2%.Conclusions: We found that abnormalities of the position of the exit of the bone tunnel, lateral tibial posterior slope (LTPS) and sagittal obliquity of the graft were the early MRI positive findings of knee instability after ACL reconstruction. Background: The tumour-stroma ratio (TSR) is recognized as a practical prognostic factor in colorectal cancer. However, TSR assessment generally utilizes surgical specimens. This study aims to investigate whether the TSR evaluated from preoperative biopsy specimens by a semi-automatic quantification method can predict the response after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT) of patients with locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC).Methods: A total of 248 consecutive patients diagnosed with LARC and treated with nCRT followed by resection were included. Haematoxylin and eosin (HE)-stained sections of biopsy specimens were collected, and the TSR was evaluated by a semi-automatic quantification method and was divided into three categories, using the cut-offs determined in the whole cohort to balance the proportion of patients in each category. The response to nCRT was evaluated on the primary tumour resection specimen by an expert pathologist using the four-tier tumour regression grade (TRG) system.Results: The TSR can discriminate patients that are major-responders (TRG 0-1) from patients that are non-responders (TRG 2-3). Patients were divided into stroma-low (33.5%), stroma-intermediate (33.9%), and stroma-high (32.7%) groups using 56.3 and 72.8% as the cutoffs. In the stroma-low group, 58 (69.9%) patients were major-responders, and only 39 (48.1%) patients were considered major-responders in the stroma-high group (P = 0.018). Multivariate analysis showed that the TSR was the only pre-treatment predictor of response to nCRT (adjusted odds ratio 0.40, 95% confidence interval 0.21-0.76, P = 0.002).Conclusion: An elevated TSR in preoperative biopsy specimens is an independent predictor of nCRT response in LARC. Video object detection still faces several difficulties and challenges. For example, the imbalance of positive and negative samples leads to low information processing efficiency, and detection performance declines in abnormal situations in video. This paper examines video object detection based on local attention to address such challenges. We propose a local attention sequence model and optimized the parameter and calculation of ConvGRU. It could process spatial and temporal information in videos more efficiently and ultimately improve detection performance under abnormal conditions. The experiments on ImageNet VID show that our method could improve the detection accuracy by 5.3%, and the visualization results show that the method is adaptive to different abnormal conditions, thereby improving the reliability of video object detection.
