Luminescence metal–organic materials (MOMs) are widely used as probes for detection. However, most of such probes are based on fluorescence and work in either turn‐off or turn‐on mode. In contrast, long‐lived (>10 ms) probes (LLPs) with recovery response to analyte are quite rare. Herein "solvation complex" strategy is used to prepare two new afterglow complexes with multiple coordinated solvents, trans‐complex 1 with both delayed fluorescence (DF) and room temperature phosphorescence (RTP), and cis‐complex 2 with RTP. Remarkably, they can serve as selective and recovery LLPs for l‐Arginine detection, with limit of detection down to 1.0 × 10−7 M. In addition, heating/fumigation can induce reversible arousal/silence of their afterglow, while H2O/DMSO vapor fumigation causes reversible crystalline‐to‐crystalline transformation between them. Detailed mechanism studies reveal that the change in coordinated solvent, including loss/acquisition, exchange, or replacement, plays a key role in such afterglow multi‐stimuli‐responsive properties. A major factor limiting the development of somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) technology is the low success rate of pregnancy, mainly due to placental abnormalities disrupting the maternal-fetal balance during pregnancy. Although there has been some progress in research on the abnormal enlargement of cloned bovine placenta, there are still few reports on the direct regulatory mechanisms of enlarged cloned bovine placenta tissue. In this study, we conducted sequencing and analysis of transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics of placental tissues from SCNT cattle (n = 3) and control (CON) cattle (n = 3). The omics analysis results indicate abnormalities in biological functions such as protein digestion and absorption, glycolysis/gluconeogenesis, the regulation of lipid breakdown, as well as glycerolipid metabolism, and arginine and proline metabolism in the placenta of SCNT cattle. Integrating these analyses highlights critical metabolic pathways affecting SCNT cattle placenta, including choline metabolism and unsaturated fatty acid biosynthesis. These findings suggest that aberrant expressions of genes, proteins, and metabolites in SCNT placentas affect key pathways in protein digestion, growth hormone function, and energy metabolism. Our results suggest that abnormal protein synthesis, growth hormone function, and energy metabolism in SCNT bovine placental tissues contribute to placental hypertrophy. Studying the interaction between pesticide contamination in the plant system and the dissolved organic matter (DOM) composition is important to understand the impact of pesticides and plants on the ecological function of DOM. The present study investigated the effects of DOM on the bioaccumulation and biotransformation of carbamates in plants, carbamate exposure on DOM composition, and plant root secretion on the interaction between DOM and carbamates. The concentrations of carbamates and their metabolites in living cabbage plants were continuously tracked through an in vivo analytical method. The presence of DOM was found to reduce the highest bioconcentrations and shorten the time it took to reach the highest bioaccumulated amounts of isoprocarb and carbofuran in plants, while it showed no significant effect on the uptake behavior of carbaryl. DOM profiling results indicated that carbamate exposure substantially decreased the number and molecular diversity of DOM. Notably, plant root secretion alleviated carbamate-induced DOM molecular alterations by inducing a higher turnover rate of DOM compared to that in the uncontaminated group, highlighting the role of plants in mitigating the effects of exogenous pesticide exposure on DOM composition and maintaining DOM molecular homeostasis. A scientific understanding of the real estate sector's role in the national economy is essential for facilitating reasonable and effective regulation and promoting economic development. By analyzing panel data from a sample of 67 countries between 2010 and 2018, we examine the role of the real estate sector in different countries and its determinants. This empirical study yields three main findings. Firstly, there is a strong correlation between the real estate sector and the financial services sector, the construction industry, as well as wholesale and retail trade. Notably, China's real estate sector exhibits relatively high direct consumption of financial service activities compared to other major countries. Secondly, there is a transition trend in both the input and output of the real estate sector from primary and secondary industries towards service-oriented industries. Lastly, key determinants influencing the economic effects of the real estate sector in a country include economic growth, current national income level, expense structure of the economy, aging population, as well as urbanization speed. Membrane distillation (MD) is a promising technology for treating high-salinity mine water. However, MD membranes are known to have low membrane flux and are prone to fouling. In this study, we used the cost-effective and controllable vapor-induced phase separation (VIPS) technology to prepare polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF) membranes, replacing the traditional immersion precipitation method and optimizing the membrane structure by including LiCl and acetone as porogen in the casting solution. The results showed that the membrane prepared using the VIPS method exhibited a highly open interconnected porous surface. Unlike traditional MD membranes with a dense epidermal layer and large finger-like pores, these optimized membranes had a symmetrical and uniform internal structure, leading to a high flux of 8.62 kg·(m2·h)−1 during direct contact membrane distillation testing. Different porogens produced varied results on the VIPS process and varying effects on membrane structure. The use of LiCl promoted the formation of PVDF β-phase, resulting in a decrease in the number of spherical nodules on the membrane surface, as well as improved density and smoothness. Consequently, this reduced fouling risk during membrane distillation while slightly decreasing membrane flux. On the other hand, acetone rapidly evaporated during the VIPS process, facilitating pre-gelatinization and α-phase formation of PVDF. This concurrent effect effectively restricted excessive nodule growth on the membrane surface, endowing the membrane with antifouling capabilities while preserving high flux. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Luminescent metal–organic frameworks (LMOFs) have been extensively employed as detection probes. However, the majority of the reported probes are fluorescence-based, lacking reports on visible afterglow detection. Herein, we present two new afterglow MOFs, compound 1 with a layered structure and 2 with an interpenetrated dia framework. 1 exhibits blue-green room temperature phosphorescence (RTP) (τ485nm = 264.6 ms) and can serve as an afterglow "turn off" probe for selective detection of Fe3+ ions through a framework decomposition mechanism, with a detection limit of 1.63 μM. Displaying blue-green RTP (τ495nm = 83.0 μs), 2 can serve as an afterglow "turn on" probe for the detection of NH3 in both solution and vapor phases. Notably, the afterglow of 2 is visually activated even at concentrations of NH3 vapor as low as 6 ppm. Mechanistic investigations reveal that the "turn on" response is attributed to structural transformation induced by NH3 molecules replacing coordinated solvents. Furthermore, their potential applications were demonstrated through the development of portable test strips for detecting Fe3+ ions and an cryptographic algorithm logic gate for NH3 deciphering. This paper is concerned with the inverse scattering of the rough surfaces with multi-frequency phase and phaseless measurements. We present a high-order recursive iteration method based on the homotopy iteration technique to reconstruct the rough surfaces. The convergence for the multi-frequency homotopy iteration method is obtained under some conditions. Some numerical experiments show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. Dezhou donkey is one of the representative local breeds in China, which is mainly divided into two strains: Sanfen and Wutou. There are obvious differences in coat color between the two strains. The former shows light points around the eyes, around the muzzle and under the belly, while the latter is completely solid black. In this study, genome‐wide association analysis was performed for the differences in coat color traits between the Sanfen (n = 97) and Wutou (n = 108) strains using a novel donkey 40K liquid chip developed based on GenoBaits technology, to identify genomic regions and causal genes that could explain this variation. We also used FST and The cross‐population composite likelihood ratio test (XPCLR) analyses to explore selected regions related to coat color differences. We identified one significant region on chromosome 15, with the most significant SNP located within the agouti signaling protein (ASIP) gene. At the same time, both FST and XPCLR methods detected the same selected region on chromosome 15, and ASIP was the gene with the strongest signal. ASIP and melanocortin 1 receptor (MC1R) control the ratio of eumelanin to pheomelanin through their protein activity. They are deeply involved in the process of melanosome organation and melanogenesis, thus affecting mammals' coat color variation. We used a range of genome‐wide approach to identify the genetic basis of coat color variation in Dezhou donkeys. The results provide a supplement to the color variation study in Chinese donkeys at the genome‐wide level, and preliminarily verified the reliability of the Molbreeding Donkey No. 1 40K liquid chip. To date, the origins, domestication, and genetic structure of Chinese Mongolian horses (CMH) are poorly understood. Furthermore, there have been sparse reports on the genetic differences between CMH and Thoroughbred. In order to determine their genetic structure, understand their genetic relationships, and explore their domestication processes, we performed an extensive survey of creatine kinase (muscle isoenzyme; CKM) variations among six populations of indigenous CMH, cultivated Sanhe horses, and imported Thoroughbred. Twenty-three single-nucleotide polymorphisms were found among the 343 horse sequences. From these, 40 haplotypes were inferred. Haplotype diversity (H) values differed from 0.6424 to 0.7881 and nucleotide diversity (π) values ranged from 0.00150 to 0.00211. The differences between Thoroughbred population and other Chinese horse populations were large, but only small differences were observed among Chinese horse populations with respect to CKM intron sequences suggesting that the domestication history, breeding measures, and origins of these horse populations are completely different. Results suggest that Sanhe and CMH are very closely related and the introgression (interbreeding) between them is serious. Our results suggest that Sanhe and Wushen require prompt and powerful protection. Low molecular weight polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (LPAHs) are widely present in the environment which poses a serious threat to human health. However, current preprocessing methods in detection are complicated. In this study, a method for rapid sampling and determination of LPAHs in the air was established using a needle trap device coupled with gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. The experimental parameters for NTD-GC-MS were optimized. This method has a linear calibration range from 10 to 1000 ng/L with correlation coefficients (R2) ≥ 0.990. The limits of detection and limits of quantification were from 0.40 to 0.55 ng/L and 1.33 to 1.82 ng/L, respectively. The recoveries were between 85.63% and 106.6%, and the relative standard deviations were below 12.34%. The method was applied to the determination of LPAHs in a smoking room and an auto-shop paint booth. In the former, the only detected LPAH was naphthalene, for which the highest concentration in a day was 471.4 ± 102.1 ng/L. In the paint booth, the highest concentrations of acenaphthene and fluorene were 203.5 ± 32.15 and 184.0 ± 29.64 ng/L, respectively. The results are meaningful for the occupationally exposed population and those suffering from secondhand smoke. Room temperature phosphorescence (RTP) materials have wide applications, and guest/host doping is an important method to achieve RTP. Although weak host–guest interactions (such as hydrogen bonding and π–π stacking) are considered to play a key role in inducing RTP in most doped systems (DSs), stronger and facile coordination bonds can achieve RTP more effectively and are believed to do so in DSs in related research. However, there is a lack of solid experimental evidence. Herein a new stable ligand‐modified lead halide (PCB) is synthesized and used as matrix to prepare RTP NA/PCB DSs with naphthalene derivatives (NA) as guests. Remarkably, a coordination bond between host and guest is experimentally demonstrated and revealed to play a decisive role in the generation of efficient RTP. On this basis, a coordination‐driven doping strategy is proposed to achieve efficient, multicolored, and long‐lived RTP of the DSs. In addition, NA/PCB shows excellent RTP stability and can be used in advanced security encryption, white light emitting diodes, and phosphorescent temperature sensors. This work not only proves the important role of coordination bonds in the RTP DSs, but also shows the potential of the ligand‐modified lead halide matrix as the host material of RTP. Mudanjiang is a major producer of black wood ear (Auricularia heimuer) mushrooms in China. It has been estimated that more than 1.5 million tons of spent substrates of A. heimuer (SSA) are produced each year. Most of these are discarded or burned and have become an important source of pollution, which urgently merits research to find appropriate uses for them. To explore the feasibility of SSA as a substrate for cultivating Lepista sordida mushrooms, experiments were conducted to assess the effects of the addition of 0, 40%, 73%, and 98% SSA on the days required for the mycelia to fully colonize the substrate and initiate primordia, biological efficiency (BE), yield, and composition of the chemical biomass of the L. sordida fruiting bodies. The yield of fruiting bodies with 0, 40%, 73%, and 98% SSA supplementation for three flushes was 3.90 ± 0.74 kg m−2, 4.06 ± 0.77 kg m−2, 4.03 ± 0.62 kg m−2, and 4.51 ± 0.65 kg m−2, respectively. The addition of 98% SSA significantly delayed the number of days for the mycelia to fully colonize and form primordia by 6 and 3 d, respectively. This treatment also significantly increased the yield and BE by 15.64% compared with that of the control group. The crude polysaccharide content of 25.64 ± 0.38 g 100 g−1 was higher in the samples grown on the 98% SSA substrate, which was shown to increase by 78.93% compared with that of the control substrate with 73% corn straw (14.33 ± 0.03 g 100 g−1). The content of crude protein of 51.10 ± 0.08 g 100 g−1 was higher in the samples grown on the 40% SSA substrate, which increased by 11.14% compared with the protein content of the control group. This study reveals that SSA would be a good substrate for the cultivation of L. sordida and is an efficient, promising, and cost-effective substrate additive that can improve the quality and yield of these mushrooms, while substantially reducing the problems of disposing of SSA. This paper represents the fundamental report of the survey of genome-wide changes of four Chinese indigenous donkey breeds, Dezhou (DZ), Guangling (GL), North China (NC), and Shandong Little donkey (SDL), and the findings will prove usefully for identification of biomarkers that perhaps predict or characterize the growth and coat color patterns. Three genomic regions in CYP3A12, TUBGCP5, and GSTA1 genes, were identified as putative selective sweeps in all researched donkey populations. The loci of candidate genes that may have contributed to the phenotypes in body size (ACSL4, MSI2, ADRA1B, and CDKL5) and coat color patterns (KITLG and TBX3) in donkey populations would be found in underlying strong selection signatures when compared between large and small donkey types, and between different coat colors. The results of the phylogenetic analysis, FST, and principal component analysis (PCA) supported that each population cannot clearly deviate from each other, showing no obvious population structure. We can conclude from the population history that the formation processes between DZS and NC, GL, and SDL are completely different. The genetic variants discovered here provide a rich resource to help identify potential genomic markers and their associated molecular mechanisms that impact economically important traits for Chinese donkey breeding programs. Background: Gut microbiota plays a significant role in host survival, health, and diseases; however, compared to other livestock, research on the gut microbiome of donkeys is limited. Results: In this study, a total of 30 donkey samples of rectal contents from six regions, including Shigatse, Changdu, Yunnan, Xinjiang, Qinghai, and Dezhou, were collected for metagenomic sequencing. The results of the species annotation revealed that the dominant phyla were Firmicutes and Bacteroidetes, and the dominant genera were Bacteroides, unclassified_o_Clostridiales (short for Clostridiales) and unclassified_f_Lachnospiraceae (short for Lachnospiraceae). The dominant phyla, genera and key discriminators were Bacteroidetes, Clostridiales and Bacteroidetes in Tibet donkeys (Shigatse); Firmicutes, Clostridiales and Clostridiales in Tibet donkeys (Changdu); Firmicutes, Fibrobacter and Tenericutes in Qinghai donkeys; Firmicutes, Clostridiales and Negativicutes in Yunnan donkeys; Firmicutes, Fibrobacter and Fibrobacteres in Xinjiang donkeys; Firmicutes, Clostridiales and Firmicutes in Dezhou donkeys. In the functional annotation, it was mainly enriched in the glycolysis and gluconeogenesis of carbohydrate metabolism, and the abundance was the highest in Dezhou donkeys. These results combined with altitude correlation analysis demonstrated that donkeys in the Dezhou region exhibited strong glucose-conversion ability, those in the Shigatse region exhibited strong glucose metabolism and utilization ability, those in the Changdu region exhibited a strong microbial metabolic function, and those in the Xinjiang region exhibited the strongest ability to decompose cellulose and hemicellulose. Conclusion: According to published literature, this is the first study to construct a dataset with multi-regional donkey breeds. Our study revealed the differences in the composition and function of gut microbes in donkeys from different geographic regions and environmental settings and is valuable for donkey gut microbiome research. Eucommiae Folium (Duzhongye) is a traditional Chinese medicine with a long history of use in China. However, its quality‐marker in Chinese Pharmacopoeia is poorly defined nowadays. The study, therefore, conducted an ultra‐high‐performance liquid chromatography coupled with hybrid quadrupole‐orbitrap tandem mass spectrometry analysis to obtain accurate data. The obtained data were then compared with the authentic standards library using Xcalibur 4.1 software package and TraceFinder General Quan. Through the comparison, the study has putatively identified 26 bioactive compounds, which include 17 flavonoid derivatives (catechin, quercetin 3‐gentiobioside, quercetin 3‐O‐β‐D‐glucose‐7‐O‐β‐D‐gentiobioside, taxifolin, myricetin 3‐O‐galactoside, myricitrin, hyperoside, rutin, isoquercitrin, quercetin 3‐O‐β‐xylopyranoside, quercitrin, isorhamnetin 3‐O‐β‐D‐glucoside, quercetin, kaempferol, S‐eriodictyol, S‐naringenin, and phloridzin), four caffeoylquinic acids (neochlorogenic acid, chlorogenic acid, isochlorogenic acid A, and isochlorogenic acid C), two alkaloids (vincamine and jervine), one lignan (pinoresinol), one xanthone (cowaxanthone B), and one steroid (cholesteryl acetate). Of these, flavonoid isoquercitrin is recommended as the new and additional pharmacopeia quality‐marker candidate, which can not only overcome the unreliability of old quality‐marker but also recognize the possible counterfeit. Objectives: Eicosapentaenoic acid in its ethyl ester form is the single active component of icosapent ethyl (IPE). This study was a phase III, multi-center trial assessing the safety and efficiency of IPE for treating very high triglyceride (TG) in a Chinese cohort. Methods: Patients having TG levels (5.6–22.6 mmol/L) were enrolled and randomly assigned to receive a treatment of oral intake of 4 g or 2 g/day of IPE, or placebo. Before and after 12 weeks of treatment, TG levels were assessed and the median was calculated to determine the change between the baseline and week 12. In addition to examining TG levels, the impact of such treatments on other lipid changes was also investigated. The official Drug Clinical Trial Information Management Platform has registered this study (CTR20170362). Results: Random assignments were performed on 373 patients (mean age 48.9 years; 75.1% male). IPE (4 g/day) lowered TG levels by an average of 28.4% from baseline and by an average of 19.9% after correction for placebo (95% CI: 29.8%-10.0%, P < 0.001). In addition, plasma concentration of non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDL-C), very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) cholesterol, and VLDL-TG remarkedly reduced after IPE (4 g/day) treatment by a median of 14.6%, 27.9%, and 25.2%, respectively compared with participants in placebo group. Compared to the placebo, neither 4 nor 2 g of IPE daily elevated LDL-C levels with statistical significance. IPE was well tolerated by all the treatment groups. Conclusions: IPE at 4 g/day dramatically lowered other atherogenic lipids without a noticeable increase in LDL-C, thereby decreasing TG levels in an exceptionally high-TG Chinese population. Two skeleton isomers, [CaL(H2O)(DMF)2]•DMF (1) (H2L=5‐(1,3‐dioxo‐1H‐benzo[de]isoquinolin‐2(3H)‐yl)isophthalic acid) with a 1 dimensional chain structure and [CaL(DMF)1.72]• (DMF)0.28 (2) with a 2 dimensional layer structure were synthesized. Mechanochromic luminescence studies reveal that 1 and 2 exhibit luminescent red‐shift and blue‐shift respectively under grinding stimuli. The different influence of grinding stimuli on the π⋅⋅⋅π interaction in the two structures are proposed to be the main reason for such different responses. In addition, 1 has a rare broad sensing ability for halogenated hydrocarbons and can distinguish seven halogenated hydrocarbons out of 17 solvents. 1 can also be used for rapid detection of trace water in DMF with a calculated detection limit of 0.0078 v/v %. The relevant recognition mechanism is the decomposition of the structure during the recognition process due to the water instability of the ionic bond. Could the corporate carbon information disclosure strategy influence a firm's brand value, and how does corporate carbon information affect it? Previous research mainly examines the impact of ESG information disclosure on firm value and other financial indicators, but little research has focused on the effect of carbon information on brand value. This paper focuses on the influence of corporate carbon information disclosure on brand value, and we find that it positively impacts corporate brand value. In addition, when a company chooses to adopt a more quantitative and diverse carbon information strategy, it increases its brand value. We also examine the potential mechanisms involved in how corporate carbon information disclosure influences brand value. We focus on three types of factor: analyst rating, customer attitude, and corporate financial performance, and find that higher analyst forecasts and positive customer attitudes have a positive impact on the association between the carbon information strategy and corporate brand value. In contrast, corporate financial performance provides only weak evidence. These results are consistent with demands by users for more precise guidelines from regulators and standard-setters for measuring and disclosing carbon-related information. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Voriconazole is a second-generation triazole that is used to prevent and treat invasive fungal infections. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the pharmacokinetic equivalency of a test formulation and reference formulation (Vfend®) of Voriconazole. Materials and methods: This was a randomized, open-label, single-dose, two-treatment, two-sequence, two-cycle, crossover phase I trial. The 48 subjects were equally divided into 4 mg/kg and 6 mg/kg groups. Within each group, the subjects were randomized 1:1 to the test or reference formulation.. After a 7-day washout period, crossover formulations were administered. The blood samples were collected at 0.5, 1.0, 1.33,1.42,1.5, 1.75, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 4.0, 6.0, 8.0, 12.0, 24.0, 36.0, 48.0 h later in the 4 mg/kg group, while at 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 1.75, 2.0, 2.08, 2.17, 2.33, 2.5, 3.0, 4.0, 6.0, 8.0, 12.0, 24.0, 36.0, 48.0 h later in the 6 mg/kg group. The plasma concentrations of Voriconazole were determined by Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC–MS/MS). The safety of the drug was evaluated. Results: The 90% confidence intervals (CIs) of the ratio of geometric means (GMRs) of Cmax, AUC0-t, and AUC0-∞ in both 4 mg/kg and 6 mg/kg groups were within the prespecified bioequivalence limits between 80 ~ 125%. In the 4 mg/kg groups, 24 subjects were enrolled and completed the study. The mean Cmax was (2.552 ± 0.448) μg/mL, AUC0-t was (11.875 ± 7.157) h*μg/mL and AUC0-∞ was (12.835 ± 9.813) h*μg/mL after a single dose of 4 mg/kg test formulation. The mean Cmax was (2.615 ± 0.464) μg/mL, AUC0-t was (12.500 ± 7.257) h*μg/mL and AUC0-∞ was (13.416 ± 9.485) h*μg/mL after a single dose of 4 mg/kg reference formulation. In the 6 mg/kg groups, 24 subjects were enrolled and completed the study. The mean Cmax was (3.538 ± 0.691) μg/mL, AUC0-t was (24.976 ± 12.364) h*μg/mL and AUC0-∞ was (26.212 ± 14.057) h*μg/mL after a single dose of 6 mg/kg test formulation. The mean Cmax was (3.504 ± 0.667) μg/mL AUC0-t was (24.990 ± 12.455) h*μg/mL and AUC0-∞ was (26.160 ± 13.996) h*μg/mL after a single dose of 6 mg/kg reference formulation. Serious adverse event (SAE) was not observed. Conclusion: In both 4 mg/kg group and 6 mg/kg group, equivalent pharmacokinetic characteristics that satisfied the criteria of bioequivalence for both test and reference formulations of Voriconazole. This paper empirically investigates the heterogeneous impacts of the media sentiment about policies with different themes on the real estate market in China. Based on the policy texts collected from both official and unofficial sources, we construct sentiment indices to capture the sentiment about policies with different themes, including real estate policies, fiscal policies, monetary policies, land policies, healthcare policies, household registration policies, and education policies, using text mining methods. Mediation models and GARCH models are then established to examine the impact of these sentiment indices on the real estate market. The E-GARCH model is established to examine the asymmetric effect of positive and negative sentiment on real estate market. The results show the following: (1) The real estate market in China is more affected by the policy sentiment on official media compared with the unofficial ones. (2) Policy sentiment affects the real estate price through the mediating variables of interest rate, real estate construction area, and real estate sales. (3) The impacts of sentiment with different themes on the volatility of the real estate market are heterogeneous. (4) The impacts of policy sentiment on official media are more pronounced in a tight government-policy environment than those in a loose one. Donkeys, with high economic value for meat, skin and milk production, are important livestock. However, the current insights into reproduction of donkeys are far from enough. To obtain a deeper understanding, the differential expression analysis and weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) of transcriptomic data of testicular and epididymis tissues in donkeys were performed. In the result, there were 4313 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in the two tissues, including 2047 enriched in testicular tissue and 2266 in epididymis tissue. WGCNA identified 1081 hub genes associated with testis development and 6110 genes with epididymal development. Next, the tissue-specific genes were identified with the above two methods, and the gene ontology (GO) analysis revealed that the epididymal-specific genes were associated with gonad development. On the other hand, the testis-specific genes were involved in the formation of sperm flagella, meiosis period, ciliary assembly, ciliary movement, etc. In addition, we found that eca-Mir-711 and eca-Mir-143 likely participated in regulating the development of epididymal tissue. Meanwhile, eca-Mir-429, eca-Mir-761, eca-Mir-200a, eca-Mir-191 and eca-Mir-200b potentially played an important role in regulating the development of testicular tissue. Eldecalcitol is a novel active vitamin D3 1,25(OH)2D3 derivative used in the treatment of osteoporosis. To investigate and compare the pharmacokinetic and bioequivalent profiles of two eldecalcitol soft capsule formulations at a single dose of 0.75 µg in healthy Chinese volunteers, we conducted a randomized single‐dose, open‐label, two‐period crossover study under fasting and fed conditions. Eligible subjects were randomly assigned to receive reference eldecalcitol soft capsules or test capsules in the first treatment period and to receive another formulation in the second period. Serial blood samples were collected for pharmacokinetic analysis. Adverse events were recorded. In total, 28 healthy subjects were enrolled in the fasting trial and 30 subjects were enrolled in the fed trial. The geometric mean ratios of the test formulation to the reference formulation for Cmax, AUC0‐t, and AUC0‐∞ were 94.2%, 94.0%, and 103.3%, respectively, under fasting conditions and 100.1%, 97.3%, and 96.0%, respectively, under fed conditions. No severe adverse events were observed. The results showed that the test and reference eldecalcitol formulations were bioequivalent and well tolerated in healthy Chinese subjects under fasting and fed conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Simple Summary: This study investigated the family structure, parent–child pair and inbreeding coefficient of a Tan sheep breeding farm in Ningxia, China. The results can be used as the theoretical basis for selecting excellent breeding stock and making an apposite mating plan; furthermore, it can provide an important scientific basis for the conservation and reproduction of Tan sheep germplasm resources. Tan sheep is a special breed of locally protected sheep in China, one of the best quality meat sheep in the world. Due to the unclear pedigree of the rams on the Ningxia Tan sheep breeding farm, we investigated 74 rams in the field and explored a new method for family division. Genomic DNA was extracted from the blood of breeding rams. Using Plink software, GCTA tools and R language, we analyzed the genetic structure, kinship, and inbreeding coefficient of the breeding sheep, which revealed the genetic relationship between the individuals. The results showed that there was no obvious clustering phenomenon in the PCA, and the genetic background of the samples was similar. The G matrix and IBS distance matrix indicated that most individuals were far away from each other. Paternity testing identified 24 pairs of unknown parent–child pairs, and all the Tan sheep could be divided into 12 families, which provided a reference for sheep breeding. The average inbreeding coefficient based on the ROH of this population was 0.049, so there was a low degree of inbreeding and the rams in the field were able to maintain high genetic diversity. Overall, we explored a more accurate method through paternity and kinship analysis; it provides a scientific basis for pedigree construction, which has an important application value for Tan sheep breeding. Ampelopsis grossedentata (vine tea) has been used as a detoxifying beverage in China for centuries. To systematically identify its bioactive compounds, the study adopted standards-based ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole/electrostatic field orbitrap high-resolution mass spectrometry (UPLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap MS) analysis. The analysis was conducted under a negative ion model and the data were collected using the Xcalibur 4.1 software package. Based on comparisons with authentic standards, 36 bioactive compounds were putatively identified by four parameters: retention time, molecular ion peak, MS/MS profile, and characteristic fragments. These bioactive compounds include two chromones (noreugenin and 3,5,7-trihydroxychromone), 15 flavonoids (S-eriodictyol, S-naringenin, luteolin, ampelopsin, taxifolin, myricetin, quercetin, viscidulin I, kaempferol, myricetin 3-O-galactoside, myricitrin, avicularin, quercitrin, isorhamnetin-3-O-β-D-glucoside, and afzelin), four phenolic acids (gallic acid, 3,4-dihydroxy-5-methoxybenzoic acid, syringic acid, and ellagic acid), five tea polyphenols (epigallocatechin, epigallocatechin gallate, gallocatechin gallate, epicatechin gallate, and catechin gallate), three chalcones (phloridzin, phloretin, and naringenin chalcone), one stilbene (polydatin), two lipids (myristic acid and ethyl stearate), one sugar (D-gluconic acid), one amino acid (L-tryptophan), one triterpenoid (oleanolic acid) and one alkaloid (jervine). Twinning trait in donkeys is an important manifestation of high fecundity, but few reports are available elucidating its genetic mechanism. To explore the genetic mechanism underlying the twin colt trait in Dezhou donkeys, DNA from 21 female Dezhou donkeys that had birthed single or twin colts were collected for whole-genome resequencing. FST, θπ and Tajima's D were used to detect the selective sweeps between single and twin colt fecundity in the Dezhou donkey groups. Another set of 20 female Dezhou donkeys with single or multiple follicles during estrus were selected to compare concentrations of reproductive hormone including follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), estradiol (E2) and progesterone (P4). Four candidate genes including ENO2, PTPN11, SOD2 and CD44 were identified in the present study. The CD44 gene had the highest FST value, and ENO2, PTPN11 and SOD2 were screened by two joint analyses (FST and θπ, θπ and Tajima's D). There was no significant difference in the LH, FSH and P4 levels between the two groups (p > 0.05); however, the serum E2 content in the multi-follicle group was significantly higher than that in the single-follicle group (p < 0.05). The identified candidate genes may provide new insights into the genetic mechanism of donkey prolificacy and may be useful targets for further research on high reproductive efficiency. Aiming at the complicated operation, time-consuming, incomplete hydrolysis and unstable hydrolysis products of enzymatic hydrolysis, we have established a microwave hydrolysis-liquid chromatography-atomic fluorescence spectrometry method for the determination of selenoamino acids in selenoproteins. After microwave hydrolysis with HC1(6 mol/L),the sample was adjusted to pH value of 7.5, then the selenocystine (SeCys2), Se-methylselenocysteine (MeSeCys) and selenomethionine (SeMet) were separated by anion chromatography with pH = 6.0,40 mmol/L (NH4)2HPO4 solution as mobile phase, flow rate at 0.7 mL/min and isocratic elution for 12 min, and the corresponding concentration were detected with an atomic florescence spectrometer. The microwave hydrolysis conditions are optimized by star point design-response surface method. The optimal hydrolysis conditions are as follows: weighing 20 mg, hydrolysis temperature 150 °C, hydrolysis time 40 min. The SeCys2, MeSeCys and SeMet showed a linear relationship in the concentration range of 0-100 ng, the correlation coefficients were all greater than 0.999, the detection limit was 0.07, 0.03 and 0.14 mg/kg, respectively, and the RSD was 5.6%, 4.6%, 3.7% (n= 6), respectively. It has the advantages of short time-consuming, low cost, complete hydrolysis, simple operation and stable hydrolysate. It can scientifically evaluate the composition of selenoamino acids in selenoproteins, and provides a scientific method for the quality control and traceability of selenoprotein products. Incomplete separation and recycling of nanoparticles are causing undesirable nanopollution and thus raising great concerns with regard to nanosafety. Since microorganisms are important regulator of physiological processes in many organisms, the interaction between nanopollution and microbial metabolomics and the resultant impact on the host's health are important but unclear. To investigate how typical nanopollution perturbs microbial growth and metabolism, Escherichia coli (E. coli) in vitro was treated with six water-dispersible nanomaterials (nanoplastic, nanosilver, nano-TiO2, nano-ZnO, semiconductor quantum dots (QDs), carbon dots (CDs)) at human-/environment-relevant concentration levels. The nanomaterials exhibited type-specific toxic effects on E. coli growth. Global metabolite profiling was used to characterize metabolic disruption patterns in the model microorganism exposed to different nanopollutants. The percentage of significant metabolites (p < 0.05, VIP > 1) accounted for 6%–38% of the total 293 identified metabolites in each of the nanomaterial-contaminated bacterial groups. Metabolic results also exhibited significant differences between different nanopollutants and dose levels, revealing type-specific and untypical concentration-dependent metabolic responses. Key metabolites responsive to nanopollution exposures were mainly involved in amino acid and purine metabolisms, where 5, 4, and 7 significant metabolic features were included in arginine and proline metabolism, phenylalanine metabolism, and purine metabolism, respectively. In conclusion, this study horizontally compared and demonstrated how typical nanopollution perturbs microbial growth and metabolomics in a type-specific manner, which broadens our understanding of the ecotoxicity of nanopollutants on microorganisms. Phytophenol dimerization, which is a radical-mediated coupling reaction, plays a critical role in many fields, including lignin biosynthesis. To understand the reaction, 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical was used to initiate a series of phytophenol dimerization reactions in methanol. The products were identified using ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with electrospray ionization quadrupole time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-ESI-Q-TOF-MS/MS) analysis in situ. The identified products mainly included biphenols, magnolol, honokiol, gingerol 6,6′-dimers, 3,6-dimethoxylcatechol β,β′ dimer, euphorbetin, bis-eugenol, dehydrodiisoeugenol, trans-ε-viniferin, (+) pinoresinol, and (−) pinoresinol. Structure–function relationship analysis allowed four basic rules to be defined: meta-excluded, C–C bonding domination, ortho-diOH co-activation, and exocyclic C=C involvement. The exocyclic C=C involvement, however, required conjugation with the phenolic core and the para-site of the -OH group, to yield a furan-fused dimer with two chiral centers. Computational chemistry indicated that the entire process was completed via a radical coupling reaction and an intramolecular conjugate addition reaction. Similar results were also found for the horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-catalyzed coniferyl alcohol dimerization, which produced (+) and (−) pinoresinols (but no (−) epipinoresinol), suggesting that the HRP-catalyzed process was essentially an exocyclic C=C-involved phytophenol dimerization reaction. The reaction was highly diastereoselective. This was attributed to the intramolecular reaction, which prohibited Re-attack. The four basic rules and diastereoselectivity can explain and even predict the main products in various chemical and biological events, especially oxidase-catalyzed lignin cyclization. This paper proposes an approach under the framework of deep learning for the task of identification and extraction of high-voltage transmission wires in power grids based on high-resolution optical remote sensing images. First, the task is defined as a semantic segmentation problem. Based on the recently proposed Swin-Unet framework, an intuitive improvement named 'Swin-Unet-M' with a refined linear embedding is proposed, improving the wire segmentation performance. Second, an effective sample synthesis technique is developed to generate training images containing wires. The wire target is randomly merged in background images to generate a rich pseudo-wire segmentation training dataset. Consequently, the cost of manually pixel-wise wire labelling is largely reduced. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed Swin-Unet-M model can obtain higher segmentation performance and effectively identify and extract the wires in real images. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Climate conditions can significantly alter the vegetation net primary productivity (NPP) in many of Earth's ecosystems, although specifics of NPP–climate condition interactions, especially time-lag responses on seasonal scales, remain unclear in ecologically sensitive forest–grassland ecotones. Based on the Moderate-Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) and meteorological datasets, we analyzed the relationship between NPP and precipitation, temperature, and drought during the growing season (April–August), considering the time-lag effect (0–5 months) at the seasonal scale in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia, China from 2000 to 2018. The results revealed a delayed NPP response to precipitation and drought throughout the growing season. In April, the precipitation in the 4 months before (i.e., the winter of the previous year) explained the variation in NPP. In August, the NPP in some areas was influenced by the preceding 1~2 months of drought. The time-lag effect varied with vegetation type and soil texture at different spatial patterns. Compared to grass and crop, broadleaf forest and meadow exhibited a longer legacy of precipitation during the growing season. The length of the time-lag effects of drought on NPP increased with increasing soil clay content during the growing season. The interaction of vegetation types and soil textures can explain 37% of the change in the time-lag effect of the NPP response to PPT on spatial pattern. Our findings suggested that preceding precipitation influences vegetation growth at the early stages of growth, while preceding drought influences vegetation growth in the later stages of growth. The spatial pattern of the time lag was significantly influenced by interaction between vegetation type and soil texture factors. This study highlights the importance of considering the time-lag effects of climate conditions and underlying drivers in further improving the prediction accuracy of NPP and carbon sinks in temperate semiarid forest–grassland ecotones. Low-orbit micro-satellite technology has developed rapidly in recent years due to its advantages of low time delay, low cost and short research period. However, among the existing inter-satellite routing algorithms, the classical flooding and greedy algorithms and their derivatives also have some limitations. The path delay calculated by the flooding algorithm is small but the calculation is large, while the greedy algorithm is the opposite. In this paper, a balanced inter-satellite routing algorithm based on partition routing is proposed. This paper presents the simulation experiments for the following indexes of the classic inter-satellite routing algorithms and the balanced partition routing algorithm: computation complexity, single-node computation pressure, routing path delay, path delay variance (data in Topo table satisfy μ   = 5 , σ 2 = 10 ). The results reveal that the balanced partition routing algorithm achieves better performance. In this paper, two optimization directions of the balanced partition routing algorithm are simulated under conditions that the data in the Topo table satisfy μ   = 5 , σ 2 = 6, σ 2 = 10 and σ 2 = 15 , respectively, when comparing their performance indicators. With the high penetration of photovoltaic (PV) and electric vehicle (EV) charging and replacement power stations connected to the distribution network, problems such as the increase of line loss and voltage deviation of the distribution network are becoming increasingly prominent. The application of traditional reactive power compensation devices and the change of transformer taps has struggled to meet the needs of reactive power optimization of the distribution network. It is urgent to present new reactive power regulation methods which have a vital impact on the safe operation and cost control of the power grid. Hence, the idea that applying the reactive power regulation potential of PV and EV is proposed to reduce the pressure of reactive power optimization in the distribution network. This paper establishes the reactive power regulation models of PV and EV, and their own dynamic evaluation methods of reactive power adjustable capacity are put forward. The model proposed above is optimized via five different algorithms and approximated through the deep learning when the optimization objective is only set as line loss and voltage deviation. Background: The aim of this study was to detect potential crosstalk genes, pathways and immune cells between periodontitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods: Chronic periodontitis (CP, GSE156993) and COPD (GSE42057, GSE94916) datasets were downloaded. Differential expressed genes (DEGs; p < 0.05) were assessed and screened for overlapping results, following functional pathway enrichment analyses (p < 0.05). The xCell method was used to assess immune cell infiltration relationship between CP and COPD. Features of the detected cross-talk genes were revealed using conventional Recursive Feature Elimination (RFE) algorithm in R project. Receiver-operating characteristic curves were applied to evaluate the predictive value of the genes. Furthermore, Pearson correlation analysis was performed on crosstalk markers and infiltrating immune cells in CP and COPD, respectively. Results: A total of 904 DEGs of COPD and 763 DEGs of CP were acquired, showing 22 overlapping DEGs between the two diseases. Thereby 825 nodes and 923 edges were found in the related protein–protein-interaction network. Eight immune cell pairs were found to be highly correlated to both CP and COPD (|correlation coefficients |> 0.5 and p-value < 0.05). Most immune cells were differently expressed between COPD and CP. RFE identified three crosstalk genes, i.e. EPB41L4A-AS1, INSR and R3HDM1. In correlation analysis, INSR was positively correlated with Hepatocytes in CP (r = 0.6714, p = 0.01679) and COPD (r = 0.5209, p < 0.001). R3HDM was positively correlated with Th1 cells in CP (r = 0.6783, p = 0.0153) and COPD (r = 0.4120, p < 0.01). Conclusion: EPB41L4A-AS1, INSR and R3HDM1 are potential crosstalk genes between COPD and periodontitis. R3HDM was positively correlated with Th1 cells in both diseases, while INSR was positively correlated with Hepatocytes in periodontitis and COPD, supporting a potential pathophysiological relationship between periodontitis and COPD. The aim of the present study was to analyze the main factors that have a significant impact on skin thickness, and to further identify the genes and signaling pathways regulating skin growth by RNA‐seq in Dezhou donkeys. Skin samples from different body regions of 15 slaughtered donkeys were obtained to study variations in skin thickness over the bodies. Skin thickness data for another 514 donkeys was obtained by minimally invasive skin sampling from the back, and measurements of the donkeys' body size traits and pedigree data were also collected. These data were used to analyze changes in skin thickness and estimate genetic parameters. In addition, transcriptomic analysis was conducted on the skin tissues of individuals from two groups with significant differences in skin thickness. Our results showed that skin thickness over the bodies ranged from 1.08 to 4.36 mm. The skin from the back was the thickest and had the highest correlation with that of other regions of the body. The skin thickness decreased from the back to the side of the ventral abdomen, and the skin thickness on the limbs increased from the proximal end to the distal end. The results also showed that the skin from the same body regions of jacks was thicker than that of jennies in the same age group. The skin thickness of jennies increased from birth to the age of 2 and then clearly decreased after 2 years of age. The estimated heritability of skin thickness was 0.15, and the genetic correlations between skin thickness and body size traits were negligible. Transcriptome analysis showed that the thick‐skin group had 65 up‐regulated genes and 38 down‐regulated genes compared with the thin‐skin group. The differentially expressed genes were highly enriched in epidermal development and cell adhesion molecule signaling pathways. We identified the candidate genes responsible for variations in skin thickness in the Dezhou donkey, including KRT10, KRT1, CLDN9, MHCII and MMP28. These results contribute to a better understanding of the growth and development of donkey skin, reveal the molecular mechanism responsible for donkey skin thickness and suggest directions for genetic selection in the Dezhou donkey population. Membrane distillation (MD) has unique advantages in the treatment of high-salt wastewater because it can make full use of low-grade heat sources. The high salinity mine water in western mining areas of China is rich in Ca2+, Mg2+, SO42− and HCO3−. In the MD process, the inorganic substances in the feed will cause membrane fouling. At the same time, low surface tension organic substances which could be introduced in the mining process will cause irreversible membrane wetting. To improve the anti-fouling and anti-wetting properties of the membrane, the PVDF omniphobic membrane in this paper was prepared by electrospinning. The water contact angle (WCA) can reach 153°. Direct contact membrane distillation (DCMD) was then used for treating high-salinity mine water. The results show that, compared with the unmodified membranes, the flux reduction rate of the omniphobic membrane was reduced by 34% in 20 h, showing good anti-fouling property. More importantly, the omniphobic membrane cannot be wetted easily by the feed containing 0.3 mmol/L SDS. The extended Derjaguin–Landau–Verwey–Overbeek (XDLVO) theory was used to analyze the free energy of the interface interaction between the membrane and pollutants, aiming to show that the omniphobic membrane was more difficult to pollute. Purpose: This study examines the effect of intraoperative doctor–patient communication with real-time videos in flexible ureteroscopic lithotripsy on patients' anxiety and depression. Methods: Patients with upper urinary tract calculi were randomised into four groups. Group A (n = 29) watched the real-time operation video, but did not accept the relevant explanation during the operation; Group B (n = 31) received an explanation about the operation process during the operation alone. Patients in Group C (n = 33) watched the real-time operation video and received an explanation about the operation process during the operation. Group D (n = 31) neither watched the operation video nor received an explanation about the operation process. The self-rated anxiety and depression scores of the patients were evaluated using the self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and the self-rating depression scale (SDS) before and after the operation. Results: The clinical and demographic profiles (average age, gender distribution, educational level, body mass index, stone size, the position of stones in each groups, the length of stayand the numbers of severe postoperative complications) of the for groups showed no preoperation difference (P > 0.05). The preoperative anxiety scores and the preoperative depression scores showed no significant difference in the four groups (P > 0.05). The scores of postoperative anxiety and depression in groups A (n = 29), B (n = 31), and C (n = 33) were significantly lower than those in Group D (n = 31), (P < 0. 05). Compared to groups A and B, the scores of anxiety and depression in Group C were significantly decreased (P < 0.05). Conclusion: During flexible ureteroscopic lithotripsy, doctor–patient communication combined with real-time video can significantly reduce patients' postoperative anxiety and depression, and contribute to their physical and mental health recovery. Rivaroxaban is a direct factor Xa inhibitor used for the management of thromboembolic disorders. The aim of this study was to evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetic profile, and bioequivalence of a generic and a branded rivaroxaban formulation (Xarelto) under fasted and fed conditions in healthy Chinese volunteers. An open‐label, randomized, single‐dose, 4‐period complete, and replicate crossover study in healthy Chinese volunteers was performed. A single oral dose of 20 mg of 2 rivaroxaban formulations was administered to 72 healthy volunteers, with 36 in the fasted group and 36 consuming a high‐fat diet. The evaluated pharmacokinetic parameters, including maximum rivaroxaban concentration, the area under the concentration‐time curve (AUC) from time 0 to the last measurable concentration, and AUC from time 0 to infinity, were assessed for BE. The plasma concentrations of rivaroxaban were measured by a validated liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry method. The geometric mean ratios with 90% confidence intervals of the maximum rivaroxaban concentration, AUC from time 0 to the last measurable concentration, and AUC from time 0 to infinity were all within the range of 80% to 125% under fasted and fed conditions. The within‐subject variability of the test and reference products was compared, and the upper limit of the 90% confidence intervals for the test‐to‐reference ratio of the within‐subject variability was <2.5, which indicated that the rivaroxaban test and the rivaroxaban reference formulation were bioequivalent. Introduction: Although previous studies have reported the significant associations of sleep quality with gait speed and falls, the mechanisms underlying these associations are unclear. We aimed to examine the gender-specific associations of sleep quality with gait speed and falls among older adults and to explore the possible mediating effect of muscle strength on these relationships. Methods: Data were taken from wave 6 (2012–2013) of the English Longitudinal Study of Aging (ELSA), including 7,664 participants aged 60 years and older. Sleep quality and falls were assessed by self-report. Gait speed was measured by the "timed walking test" and then adjusted by height. As an indicator of overall muscle strength, grip strength was measured by using the Smedley dynamometer. Baron and Kenny's causal steps and the Karlson/Holm/Breen method were used to examine the mediating effect. Results: Higher sleep quality was associated with the higher level of gait speed (β = 0.008, p = 0.031 in men; β = 0.008, p = 0.017 in women) and with lower prevalence of falls (OR = 0.878, 95% CI: 0.773, 0.998 in men; OR = 0.874, 95% CI: 0.792, 0.965 in women). Grip strength mediated these associations in men but not in women, and the mediating effects of grip strength can explain 23.74 and 11.01% of the total effect of sleep quality on gait speed and falls, respectively. Conclusion: Our findings help explain the mechanism underlying the associations of sleep quality with gait speed and falls. Purpose: Synthetic ammonia is not only the basis of the fertilizer industry in China but also has the highest energy consumption and pollution emissions in the chemical industry. The objective of this study was to conduct a cradle-to-gate life cycle assessment (LCA) of ammonia production based on different raw materials to identify the crucial processes and parameters and to provide suggestions for clean and sustainable development of the ammonia industry in China. Methods: Based on actual industrial data, this study comprehensively evaluated the resource consumption and pollution emissions caused by different raw material routes and coal-to-ammonia technologies from a life cycle perspective according to the LCA standards ISO 14040 series and using the CML 2001 method and identified the key environmental impact categories and stage contributions. In addition, the effects of various input parameters on the environmental burden were specified through sensitivity analysis. Accordingly, suggestions for improving the environmental performance of ammonia production are proposed. Results: The environmental burdens of the coal-based and coke oven gas-based routes were 1.43 and 1.7 times higher than that of the natural gas-based route, respectively. The significant differences were mainly reflected in the greenhouse effect, acidification, and fossil energy depletion. Advanced coal-to-ammonia technology, represented by coal water slurry gasification, showed a lower environmental burden than the traditional intermittent gasification technology, especially in terms of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and energy consumption. The GHG emissions involved in producing ammonia decreased from 3.88 to 2.18 kg per 1 kg of ammonia, and energy consumption decreased by approximately 17%, from 5.69 to 4.71 MJ. Conclusions: Coal is the main raw material used for ammonia production in China, and the results showed that the application of advanced coal gasification with energy-saving technologies can effectively improve the environmental performance of synthetic ammonia production in China. The difficulty of precise control of the luminescence colour before and after grinding of mechanoluminescence (MCL) materials has limited their practical applications. Herein we report a doping dye control strategy to regulate the MCL colour. A one-dimensional (1D) coordination polymer (CP) (2) and various dye@2 composites were conveniently prepared through H2O-mediated structural transformation of a 2D CP (1). The diemissive composites have interesting MCL behaviors. Visible light full-spectrum precise control of the luminescence colour before and after grinding can be realized in the composites by adjusting both the type and the amount of the captured dyes. Such a strategy also makes the materials have an obvious difference in the luminescence colours before and after grinding. Detailed study reveals that the aggregation caused quenching effect and solid solvent dilution effect of the dyes, as well as the low-dimensional close-packed structure of the CP matrix, play an important role in the luminescence colour control. Besides, the composites also have interesting thermoluminescence properties. Combining the encryption principle of the Hill cipher with the MCL and thermoluminescence properties of the composites, a new triple information encryption method can be developed. Membrane distillation (MD) is a promising membrane separation technique used to treat industrial wastewater. When coupled with cheap heat sources, MD has significant economic advantages. Therefore, MD can be combined with solar energy to realize the large-scale and low-cost treatment of highly mineralized mine water in the western coal-producing region of China. In this study, highly mineralized mine water from the Ningdong area of China was subjected to vacuum MD (VMD) using polyvinylidene fluoride hollow-fiber membranes. The optimal operation parameters of VMD were determined by response surface optimization. Subsequently, the feasibility of VMD for treating highly mineralized mine water was explored. The fouling behavior observed during VMD was further investigated by scanning electron microscopy with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM–EDS). Under the optimal parameters (pressure = − 0.08 MPa, temperature = 70 °C, and feed flow rate = 1.5 L/min), the maximum membrane flux was 8.85 kg/(m2 h), and the desalination rate was 99.7%. Membrane fouling could be divided into three stages: membrane wetting, crystallization, and fouling layer formation. Physical cleaning restored the flux and salt rejection rate to 94% and 97% of the initial values, respectively; however, the cleaning interval and cleaning efficiency decreased as the VMD run time increased. SEM–EDS analysis revealed that the reduction in flux was caused by the precipitation of CaCO3. The findings also demonstrated that the membrane wetting could be attributed to the formation of NaCl on the cross section and outer surface of the membrane. Overall, the results confirm the feasibility of MD for treating mine water and provide meaningful guidance for the industrial application of MD. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Lurgi gasification technology has attracted significant commercial interest in China owing to its suitability for production of synthetic natural gas (SNG). However, hazardous trace elements (HTEs) in Lurgi gasification ash have the potential risk of contaminating surface and groundwater. In this paper, the HTEs in ash with different particle sizes from Lurgi gasifier and the HTEs concentrations of leachates were investigated by using an ICP-MS (Thermo Fisher, ELEMENT2/XR) and a direct mercury analyzer (DMA 80). Moreover, the mass loading (f(x)) and ecological risk index (RI) was introduced to evaluate the risk level of HTEs in Lurgi gasification ash with different particle sizes. The content of Be, Cr, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, Ba, Pb, U and As in fine ash (<3 mm) accounts for 40–55% of the total content. HTEs are more likely to concentrate in the fine ash with a particle size of less than 3 mm and a large specific surface area in the Lurgi gasifier. The pH range of the leachate is from 8.2 to 10.1. As and Cd presented the highest leachability, and more than 85.9% of As and over 54.1% of Cd in the ash were transferred into the leachate. The concentration of As, Cd, Be and Cr in the leachate is negatively correlated with the ash particle size, while Pb is positively correlated. The mass loading index of Lurgi ash with particle size of 3 ~ 6mm is the smallest, less than 10%. And the ecological risk index (RI) of Lurgi gasification ash increased with the decrease of particle size, but all of them were at low-risk level. The mineralogical characteristics of underground coal gasification (UCG) residuals are closely related to the gasification conditions. The study of the mineral composition and transformation of ash and slag under different gasification conditions has important scientific significance for understanding the real gasification conditions, improving the utilization efficiency of coal, and identifying and controlling the environmental impact. In this paper, the sequential transformation of minerals under different temperature and atmosphere are studied by X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and FactSage software, and the elemental composition of the surface of the UCG ash and slag is characterized by SEM‐EDX. The results show that the main minerals in the semicoke are quartz (SiO2), illite (K1.5Al4(Si6.5Al1.5)O20(OH)4), and sanidine (KAlSi3O8). In the 900–1300°C reduction, ash, quartz, sanidine, hercynite (FeAl2O4), anorthite (CaAl2Si2O8), and mullite (Al6Si2O13) are the main minerals. The minerals in the oxidation residuals (1100–1500°C) are quartz, anorthite, hematite (Fe2O3), hercynite, cordierite (Fe2Al4Si5O18), and cristobalite. The reaction temperature has a significant effect on the changes in mineralogy. The reaction temperature is low during the pyrolysis process, and most changes involve only structural changes. With the reaction temperature increases, a series of reactions occur between different minerals. The reaction atmosphere also has a significant effect on the mineralogy. The research on the transformation of minerals in UCG residues can indirectly reflect the actual process of UCG, which can provide suggestions for the stable operation of the UCG process.
