Modifications at different positions on the aloperine molecule were performed to improve its anticancer activity and develop anticancer drugs. The in vitro anticancer activities of 44 synthesized compounds were evaluated. The effect of modification positions on anticancer activity was discussed and a structure–activity relationship analysis was established. A novel series of compounds with modifications at the N12 position showed much higher cytotoxicity than aloperine. Among them, compound 22 displayed promising in vitro anticancer activity against PC9 cells with a median inhibitory concentration (IC50) of 1.43 μM. The mechanism studies indicated that compound 22 induced cell apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in PC9 cells. Utilizing renewable electricity for the electrocatalytic conversion of CO2 into alcohols represents a promising avenue for generating value‐added fuels and achieving carbon neutrality. Recently, there has been growing scientific interest in achieving high‐efficiency conversion of CO2 to alcohols, with significant advancements made in mechanism understanding, reactor design, catalyst development, and more. Herein, a thorough examination of the latest advances in electrocatalytic CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR) to alcohols is provided. General mechanisms and pathways of electrocatalytic conversion of CO2‐to‐alcohols are systematically illustrated. Subsequently, electrolyzer configurations, electrolytes, and electrocatalysts employed in CO2RR are summarized. After that, critical operating parameters (e.g., reaction pressure, temperature, and pH) that would significantly influence the CO2RR process are also analyzed. BACKGROUND: During the brewing of soy sauce, the conversion of multiple substances is driven by various microorganisms and their secreted enzyme systems. Soy sauce mash is an important source of enzyme systems during moromi fermentation, but the changes of enzyme systems in soy sauce mash during moromi fermentation are poorly understood. In order to explore the predominant enzyme systems existing during moromi fermentation and to explain the characteristics of the enzyme system changes, an enzymatic activities assay and 4D‐label‐free proteomics analysis were conducted on soy sauce mash at different stages of fermentation. RESULTS: The activities of hydrolytic enzymes in soy sauce mash decreased continuously throughout the fermentation process, while most of the characteristic physicochemical substances in soy sauce mash supernatant had already accumulated at the early stage of fermentation. Four hydrolytic enzymes were found to be positively correlated with important physicochemical indexes by principal component analysis and Pearson correlation analysis. The proteomics analysis revealed three highly upregulated enzymes and two enzymes that were present in important metabolic pathways throughout the fermentation process. Furthermore, it was found that Aspergillus oryzae was able to accumulate various nutrients in the soy sauce mash by downregulating most of its metabolic pathways. CONCLUSION: Enzymes present with excellent properties during the moromi fermentation period could be obtained from these results. Meanwhile, the characterization of the metabolic pathways of microorganisms during the moromi fermentation period was revealed. Introduction: Mouse embryonic stem cell (ESC) self-renewal can be maintained through dual inhibition of GSK3 and MEK kinases. MEK has two highly homologous downstream kinases, extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1 and 2 (ERK1/2). However, the exact roles of ERK1/2 in mouse ESC self-renewal and differentiation remain unclear. Methods: We selectively deleted or inhibited ERK1, ERK2, or both using genetic and chemical genetic approaches combined with small molecule inhibitors. The effects of ERK paralog-specific inhibition on mouse ESC self-renewal and differentiation were then assessed. Results: ERK1/2 were found to be dispensable for mouse ESC survival and self renewal. The inhibition of both ERK paralogs, in conjunction with GSK3 inhibition, was sufficient to maintain mouse ESC self-renewal. In contrast, selective deletion or inhibition of only one ERK paralog did not mimic the effect of MEK inhibition in promoting mouse ESC self-renewal. Regarding ESC differentiation, inhibition of ERK1/2 prevented mesendoderm differentiation. Additionally, selective inhibition of ERK1, but not ERK2, promoted mesendoderm differentiation. Discussion: These findings suggest that ERK1 and ERK2 have both overlapping and distinct roles in regulating ESC self-renewal and differentiation. This study provides new insights into the molecular mechanisms of ERK1/2 in governing ESC maintenance and lineage commitment, potentially informing future strategies for controlling stem cell fate in research and therapeutic applications. Osteoarthritis (OA), a chronic joint disease affecting over 500 million individuals globally, is characterized by the destruction of articular cartilage and joint inflammation. Conventional treatments are insufficient for repairing damaged joint tissue, necessitating novel therapeutic approaches. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), with their potential for differentiation and self-renewal, hold great promise as a treatment for OA. However, challenges such as MSC viability and apoptosis in the ischemic joint environment hinder their therapeutic effectiveness. Hydrogels with biocompatibility and degradability offer a three-dimensional scaffold that support cell viability and differentiation, making them ideal for MSC delivery in OA treatment. This review discusses the pathological features of OA, the properties of MSCs, the challenges associated with MSC therapy, and methods for hydrogel preparation and functionalization. Furthermore, it highlights the advantages of hydrogel-based MSC delivery systems while providing insights into future research directions and the clinical potential of this approach. The high cost of ReB2 limits its application as a member of novel high‐hardness materials, which can be alleviated by forming composites with cheap compound(s). In the present study, a dense ReB2–B4C composite was fabricated via in situ reactive sintering by spark plasma sintering with Re and B13C2 (Re:B = 1:20) as raw materials. The phase composition, microstructure, Vickers hardness, and fracture toughness of the obtained composite were characterized, and the reaction mechanism, crack propagation, and toughening mechanism were clarified. XRD, SEM, Raman, and XPS results revealed that the obtained composite is mainly composed of ReB2 and B4C phases, with a small amount of free B and graphite coexisted. Vickers hardness of 33.5 ± 4.4 GPa under 0.49 N load and 24.6 ± 1.5 GPa under 4.9 N load and fracture toughness of 5.02 ± 0.37 MPa·m1/2 were observed for the obtained composite. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of small RNA genes with important roles in cancer biology regulation. There are considerable studies regarding the roles of microRNA‐505‐3p (miR‐505‐3p) in cancer development and progression, but the function of miR‐505‐3p in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) has not been fully clarified. Comparative analysis of miRNA expression data set was used to select differentially expressed miRNAs. Quantitative real‐time polymerase chain reaction was applied to detect expression levels of RNAs, while western blot and immunofluorescence staining were performed to detect expression levels of proteins of interest. The motility of EOC cells was assessed by wound healing and transwell assays. The binding and regulating relationship between miRNA and its direct target gene was investigated by dual‐luciferase assay. Our results show that miR‐505‐3p was upregulated in recurrent EOC, which significantly inhibits EOC cell motility via modulating cell epithelial–mesenchymal transition. Furthermore, our results indicated that PEAK1 expression was inhibited by direct binding of miR‐505‐3p into its 3′‐URT in EOC cells. Importantly, knockdown of PEAK1 attenuated the effect of mi‐505‐3p inhibitor on EOC cell migration and invasion. Multiple myeloma (MM) denotes a cancerous growth characterized by abnormal proliferation of plasma cells. Growing evidence suggests that the complexity in addressing MM lies in the presence of minimal residual disease (MRD) within the body. MRD assessment is becoming increasingly important for risk assessment in patients with MM. Similarly, the levels of serum free protein light chain and their ratio play a crucial role in assessing the disease burden and changes in MM. In this paper, we review and explore the utilization of MRD and serum free light chain ratio in the treatment of MM, delving into their respective characteristics, advantages, disadvantages, and their interrelation. The cultivated diploid Brassica oleracea is an important vegetable crop, but the genetic basis of its domestication remains largely unclear in the absence of high-quality reference genomes of wild B. oleracea. Here, we report the first chromosome-level assembly of the wild Brassica oleracea L. W03 genome (total genome size, 630.7 Mb; scaffold N50, 64.6 Mb). Using the newly assembled W03 genome, we constructed a gene-based B. oleracea pangenome and identified 29 744 core genes, 23 306 dispensable genes, and 1896 private genes. We re-sequenced 53 accessions, representing six potential wild B. oleracea progenitor species. The results of the population genomic analysis showed that the wild B. oleracea populations had the highest level of diversity and represents the most closely related population to modern-day horticultural B. oleracea. In addition, the WUSCHEL gene was found to play a decisive role in domestication and to be involved in cauliflower and broccoli curd formation. We also illustrate the loss of disease-resistance genes during selection for domestication. Background: The 18– 24 age group has a much higher rate of depression risk than other age groups, and this age group has the highest proportion among users of mobile social media. The relationship between the use of mobile social media and depressive mood is inconsistent and the mechanism of action is controversial. Purpose: This study explored the relationship among the intensity of social media use, upward social comparison, cognitive overload and depressive mood. Methods: In this research, we used the Brief Self-rating Depression Scale (PHQ-9), the Social Media Usage Intensity Questionnaire, the Social Comparison Scale on Social Networking Sites and the Social Networking Site Cognitive Overload Scale to investigate the depressive mood and mobile social media use of 568 college students. Results: The intensity of mobile social media use, social networking site upward social comparison, and social networking site cognitive overload are all positively correlated with depressive mood. The intensity of mobile social media use has a positive predictive effect on depressive mood, with upward social comparison and cognitive overload acting as independent mediators in the relationship between mobile social media use intensity and depressive symptoms, as well as exhibiting a chained mediating effect of upward social comparison-cognitive overload. Conclusion: The upward social comparison and cognitive load that occur during the use of mobile social media are important predictive factors for the occurrence of depressive mood. This study is a supplement to the mechanism of the relationship between mobile social media use and depression, providing more evidence-based evidence and intervention directions for university teachers, mobile social media developers, and psychologists. Glycemic variability (GV) has been related to complications in patients with diabetes. The aim of the systematic review and meta-analysis was to investigate whether GV is also associated with the incidence of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). A systematic search of Medline, Web of Science, Embase, and Cochrane Library database was conducted to identify relevant observational studies with longitudinal follow-up. The Newcastle-Ottawa Scale was used for study quality evaluation. A random-effects model was utilized to pool the results, accounting for heterogeneity. Ten observational studies including 72 565 patients with diabetes were included. The quality score was 8–9, indicating generally good quality of the included studies. With a mean follow-up duration of 7.1 years, 11 532 patients (15.9%) were diagnosed as DPN. Compared to patients with low GV, patients with high GV were associated with an increased risk incidence of DPN (risk ratio: 1.51, 95% confidence interval: 1.23 to 1.85, p<0.001; I2=78%). In addition, subgroup analysis showed consistent results in patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and in studies evaluating the short-term and long-term GV (p for subgroup difference=0.82 and 0.53). Finally, results of subgroup analysis also suggested that the association between GV and risk of DPN were not significantly affected by study design, follow-up durations, diagnostic methods for DPN, adjustment of mean glycated hemoglobin A1c, or study quality scores (p for subgroup difference all>0.05). In the pursuit of China's ambitious carbon neutrality goals, optimizing carbon-emission efficiency within the construction sector, a significant emitter, becomes critical. This study employs a super-Slacks-Based Measure (SBM) model and a Tobit regression model to analyze buildings' heating-related carbon emissions across China, considering urban population density, electricity usage, and building energy consumption and the influencing factors that cause differences in carbon-emission efficiency difference. The results of this study show that the average building carbon-emission efficiency of 30 provinces in China is 0.789; carbon-emission efficiency is 0.89 in the south, higher than 0.69 in the north. After excluding centralized heating emissions, the value of buildings' carbon-emission efficiency in the northern provinces increases by 0.01, of which the buildings' carbon-emission efficiency in Jilin Province and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region shows positive growth, respectively, by 0.12 and 0.17. In terms of influencing factors, there is a significant positive correlation between the scientific and technological levels, the regional economic scale, and carbon-emission efficiency; however, government intervention in the economy has a negative correlation with carbon-emission efficiency. Renewable energy utilization and green-policy adoption emerge as pivotal in enhancing efficiency. The contribution of this study is to underscore the necessity of fostering renewable energy, refining energy-consumption structures, and implementing green strategies to augment buildings' heating-related carbon-emission efficiency. Homochiral halide perovskites have gained increasing attention because of their fascinating optoelectronic properties and prospective applications in laser technologies. However, the limited choice of chiral organic templates severely restricts their structural diversity and second‐harmonic generation (SHG) effects. Here, we present an in situ chiral template approach for the synthesis of one‐dimensional (1D) homochiral lead iodides. A chiral imine (L‐ipp) template was generated in situ by reacting L‐proline (L‐pro) and acetone under ambient conditions. Notably, L‐ipp can cooperate with L‐pro to direct the formation of a homochiral lead iodide with dual chiral templates, which is unprecedented in crystalline metal halides. The homochiral lead iodide containing both L‐ipp and L‐pro shows a strong SHG response of 8.0 times that of KH2PO4 (8.0×KDP). The SHG efficiency is one of the largest values reported to date for any homochiral lead halides under 1064 nm laser irradiation. A comparative study shows that homochiral 1D lead iodides containing either L‐ipp or L‐pro exhibit relatively weak SHG responses (≤1.0×KDP). Patients with advanced liver cancer may benefit from 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU) therapy. However, most of them eventually faced drug resistance, resulting in a poor prognosis. The present study aims to explore the potential mechanism of let‐7g/ABCC10 axis in the regulation of 5‐FU resistance in liver cancer cells. Huh‐7 cells were used to construct 5‐FU resistant Huh‐7/4X cells. CCK8, flow cytometry, and TUNEL staining were used to detect the characterization of Huh‐7 cells and Huh‐7/4X cells. Double luciferase report, PCR, and western blot analyses were used to detect the regulatory effects between let‐7g and ABCC10. The levels of biomarkers related to cell cycle progression and apoptosis were detected by western blot assays. The role of let‐7g in 5‐FU sensitivity of liver cancer cells was evaluated in nude mice. Compared with LX‐2 cells, the expression of let‐7g was decreased in Hep3B, HepG2, Huh‐7, and SK‐Hep1 cells, with the lowest expression in Huh‐7 cells. The sensitivity of Huh‐7 cell to 5‐FU was positively correlated with let‐7g expression. Transfection of let‐7g mimics inhibited the viability of Huh‐7/4X cells by prolonging the G1 phase, with the downregulation of ABCC10, PCNA, Cyclin D1, and CDK4. Meanwhile, let‐7g promoted apoptosis to increase 5‐FU sensitivity of Huh‐7/4X by downregulating ABCC10, Bcl‐XL as well as upregulating Bax, C‐caspase 3, and C‐PARP. Dual‐luciferase assay further confirmed that let‐7g inhibited ABCC10 expression by binding to the ABCC10 3'‐UTR region. Furthermore, let‐7g increased the sensitivity of Huh‐7/4X to 5‐FU in vitro and in vivo, which can be reversed by ABCC10 overexpression. With the rapid development of computer technology, urban informatics, as a new discipline in the field of urban planning, has gradually attracted academic attention. The rise of urban informatics puts new pressures on urban planning, but it also provides a new perspective of analysis. This paper is a summary of a panel discussion among scholars in urban informatics held at the 2020 International Association for China Planning(IACP).In this context, the panel outlines the definition of urban informatics, and the difference between urban informatics and urban analytic and computing, and found that urban informatics pays more attention to end user. This indicates that urban informatics has been more than a supporting role in urban planning or design, and is increasingly integrated with urban planning. The panel also discusses the connotation of urban informatics and its wide application in practice, and illustrates with examples. At the same time, the team identifies the difficulties of its development mainly reflected in the two aspects of resources and talents, and the learners of urban planning discipline have natural advantage in learning urban informatics. Finally, the panel discusses how to improve teaching, and concludes that the promotion of good cases, discipline integration, training data thinking rather than focusing too much on methods and other concepts. The thermal stability of metastable ReB2‐type transition metal diborides (TMB2), which are considered as new type of superhard material, is of vital importance to obtain bulk samples. In the present work, thermal stability of four kinds of ReB2‐type TMB2 powders, ReB2, OsB2, Os1–xRexB2, and Os1‐xWxB2, were synthesized with varied transition metal (TM)‐to‐B molar ratio by mechanochemical methods and the subsequent annealing was compared. The as‐synthesized powders were then consolidated using a pressureless sintering technique. The results showed that the B content required to obtain the pure hexagonal ReB2‐type Os1–x(TM)xB2 phase varied, which indicated different thermal stabilities, such as OsB2 < Os0.1W0.1B2 < Os0.9Re0.1B2 < Os0.8W0.2B2 < ReB2 < Os0.6W0.4B2 and Os0.5W0.5B2. Among them, Os0.6W0.4B2 and Os0.5W0.5B2 were found to be relatively thermally stable and could be synthesized with a stoichiometric molar ratio of (Os + W):B = 1:2. It was also found that the thermal stability of TMB2 with a hexagonal ReB2 structure could be mainly governed by the length of lattice constant c. The results have guiding significance for the design and preparation of new type of TM borides. Contaminated industrial wastewater is one of the severe causes of health diseases. The wastewater treatment trend in developing countries is less, and governments are not strictly pursuing the wastewater management protocols adopted by firms. To study the intention to install wastewater treatment plants at the firm level and provide policy suggestions to the developing countries' governments, we have collected a cross-sectional dataset from manufacturing firms. We have presented an integrated model based on the theory of planned behaviour and tested our proposed model by implying SEM-ANN deep learning techniques. Results revealed that Environmental knowledge, installation cost, firm reputation, and corporate social responsibility positively influence firm management's intention to install wastewater treatment plants, but awareness of the risk associated with contaminated wastewater has a negative influence. On the other hand, Government incentives do not influence the process. In addition, our study has found that firm size moderates the relationship between explained and exploratory variables. Our study provided valuable insight into the available literature and provided some policy suggestions to developing countries' governments to cope with water scarcity and health issues caused by contaminated industrial wastewater. Background: The outcome of patients with colon cancer is still unsatisfied nowadays. Simvastatin is a type of statins with anti-cancer activity, but its effect on colon cancer cells remains unclear. The present study is intended to determine the underlying mechanism of simvastatin in treatment of colon cancer. Methods: The viability and pyroptosis rate of cells treated and untreated with simvastatin were analysed by CCK-8 and flow cytometry assays, respectively. We used DCFH-DA and flow cytometry to detect reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. Levels of pyroptosis markers were detected by western blotting analysis or immunofluorescence staining. Besides, the anticancer properties of simvastatin on colon cancer were further demonstrated using a cell line based xenograft tumor model. Results: Simvastatin treatment in HCT116 and SW620 induced pyroptosis and suppressed cell proliferation, with changes in the expression level of NLPR3, ASC, cleaved-caspase-1, mature IL-1β, IL-18 and GSDMD-N. Moreover, inhibition of caspase-1 and ROS attenuated the effects of simvastatin on cancer cell viability. In addition, it was identified that simvastatin has an anti-tumor effect by down-regulating ROS production and inducing downstream caspase-1 dependent pyroptosis in the subcutaneous transplantation tumors of HCT116 cells in BALB/c nude mice. Background: Chinese urban residents consume more salt from meals prepared outside home than in the past. The purpose of this study is to understand Chinese consumer demand for salt reduction as expressed through their orders on meal delivery apps (MDAs), restaurants' willingness to promote salt reduction, and the extent to which restaurants comply with reduced salt requests. Methods: We analyzed consumer comments extracted from 718 restaurants on a Chinese MDA called ELEME for orders made in the July-December 2020 timeframe. A self-designed questionnaire was distributed to the restaurant managers to assess restaurants' attitude towards salt reduction upon signing up for the study, and laboratory validation was conducted to test whether dishes ordered with reduced salt requests by consumers actually contained less salt. Results: A total of 25,982 (0.7%) orders out of 3,630,798 orders contained consumer comments. Of the consumer comments, 40.6% (10,549) were about requests for less salt in dishes. Totally 91.5% of 421 surveyed restaurants showed a willingness to respond to consumers' reduced salt requests. The median sodium content measured in the reduced-salt dishes by the laboratory was significantly lower than that in their regular salt counterparts (P < 0.05). Conclusions: We observed substantial consumer demand for salt reduction while ordering meals on the MDA and that restaurants did, in response, reduce the sodium content in the meals they provided. As meals delivered via MDAs comprise an increasing proportion of outside foods consumed, there is an opportunity for public health experts and policy makers to work with MDAs and restaurants to promote healthier food selections. In view of the homogeneity, the neglect of site characteristics and the difficulty in reflecting regional cultural characteristics of outdoor furniture, in order to improve the public's emotional experience of regional culture, the product design process and methods based on narrative theory have been completed for the outdoor furniture design practice of the Western Sichuan Linpan Landscape Project. By analyzing the characteristics of outdoor furniture under the narrative theory, the event semantic model was used to sort out the narrative elements of the western Sichuan forest plate and constructed the narrative space. The cultural semantics of the Western Sichuan Linpan was translated into the design elements of outdoor furniture, the product features were matched from the three dimensions of produce, environment and action, and the product narrative experience was enhanced. To guide the public's cognitive activities in a narrative way, while improving the cultural connotation of the product, the emotional experience needs of users were met, the audience range of outdoor furniture was expanded, and the design innovation of outdoor furniture was realized. Astrocytes contribute to chronic neuroinflammation in a variety of neurodegenerative diseases, including Parkinson's disease (PD), the most common movement disorder. However, the precise role of astrocytes in neuroinflammation remains incompletely understood. Herein, we show that regulator of G-protein signaling 5 (RGS5) promotes neurodegenerative process through augmenting astrocytic tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) signaling. We found that selective ablation of Rgs5 in astrocytes caused an inhibition in the production of cytokines resulting in mitigated neuroinflammatory response and neuronal survival in animal models of PD, whereas overexpression of Rgs5 had the opposite effects. Mechanistically, RGS5 switched astrocytes from neuroprotective to pro-inflammatory property via binding to the receptor TNFR2. RGS5 also augmented TNFR signaling-mediated pro-inflammatory response by interacting with the receptor TNFR1. Moreover, interrupting RGS5/TNFR interaction by either RGS5 aa 1–108 or small molecular compounds feshurin and butein, suppressed astrocytic cytokine production. We showed that the transcription of astrocytic RGS5 was controlled by transcription factor early B cell factor 1 whose expression was reciprocally influenced by RGS5-modulated TNF signaling. Thus, our study indicates that beyond its traditional role in G-protein coupled receptor signaling, astrocytic RGS5 is a key modulator of TNF signaling circuit with resultant activation of astrocytes thereby contributing to chronic neuroinflammation. The aging population has posed a challenge to China's carbon neutrality pledge. To study the household carbon footprint in an aging society, this paper has combined the age-specific consumption pattern and environmental input-output life cycle assessment (EIO-LCA) to calculate the carbon footprint of household consumption across age groups, and then identified the key pathways of carbon emissions via structural path analysis (SPA). Results indicate that the elderly contribute 11.65% to total consumption-based carbon emissions. The working group (ages 15–64) has the highest average carbon footprint (0.85 tCO2e), while the elderly group (ages 65 and above) has the lowest average carbon footprint (0.82 tCO2e). Urban households of all ages have a higher carbon footprint than rural households. Housing and food are the dominant sources of the elderly carbon footprint. Notably, the production and distribution of electric power and heat power sector associated with housing energy consumption plays a leading role in the carbon emissions pathways of elderly consumption. Measuring the carbon footprint of older people can support policy designs and decision making in key sectors along the supply chain, and further encourage low-carbon lifestyles among China's elderly. A simple and wash-free POCT platform based on microcapillary was developed, using breast cancer cell-derived exosomes as a model. This method adopted the "one suction and one extrusion" mode. The hybridized complex of epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) aptamer and complementary DNA-horseradish peroxidase conjugate (CDNA-HRP) was pre-modified on the microcapillary's inner surface. "One suction" meant inhaling the sample into the functionalized microcapillary. The exosomes could specifically bind with the EpCAM aptamer on the microcapillary's inner wall, and then the CDNA-HRP complex was released. "One extrusion" referred to squeezing the shedding CDNA-HRP into the 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB)/H2O2 solution, and then the enzyme-catalyzed reaction would occur to make the solution yellow using sulfuric acid as the terminator. Therefore, exosome detection could be realized. The limit of detection was 2.69 × 104 particles mL−1 and the signal value had excellent linearity in the concentration range from 2.75 × 104 to 2.75 × 108 particles⋅mL-1 exosomes. In addition, the wash-free POCT platform also displayed a favorable reproducibility (RSD = 2.9%) in exosome detection. This method could effectively differentiate breast cancer patients from healthy donors. Background: The availability of physical activity (PA) facilities in neighborhoods is hypothesized to influence cardiovascular disease (CVD), but evidence from individual-level long-term cohort studies is limited. We aimed to assess the association between neighborhood exposure to PA facilities and CVD incidence. Methods: A total of 4658 participants from the Chinese Multi-provincial Cohort Study without CVD at baseline (2007–2008) were followed for the incidence of CVD, coronary heart disease (CHD), and stroke. Availability of PA facilities was defined as both the presence and the density of PA facilities within a 500-m buffer zone around the participants' residential addresses. Time-dependent Cox regression models were performed to estimate the associations between the availability of PA facilities and risks of incident CVD, CHD, and stroke. Results: During a median follow-up of 12.1 years, there were 518 CVD events, 188 CHD events, and 355 stroke events. Analyses with the presence indicator revealed significantly lower risks of CVD (hazard ratio [HR] 0.80, 95% confidence interval ([CI] 0.65–0.99) and stroke (HR 0.76, 95% CI 0.60–0.97) in participants with PA facilities in the 500-m buffer zone compared with participants with no nearby facilities in fully adjusted models. In analyses with the density indicator, exposure to 2 and ≥ 3 PA facilities was associated with 35% (HR 0.65, 95% CI 0.47–0.91) and 28% (HR 0.72, 95% CI 0.56–0.92) lower risks of CVD and 40% (HR 0.60, 95% CI 0.40–0.90) and 38% (HR 0.62, 95% CI 0.46–0.84) lower risks of stroke compared with those without any PA facilities in 500-m buffer, respectively. Effect modifications between presence of PA facilities and a history of hypertension for incident stroke (P = 0.049), and a history of diabetes for incident CVD (P = 0.013) and stroke (P = 0.009) were noted. Conclusions: Residing in neighborhoods with better availability of PA facilities was associated with a lower risk of incident CVD. DNA repair enzyme ALKBH3 has shown great potential as diagnostic as well as therapeutic target for several cancers. However, methods for the sensitive measurement of ALKBH3 repair activity are highly desirable but challenging. Herein, we report a dual DNA amplifier by integrating catalytic hairpin assembly (CHA) with CRISPR/Cas12a for highly sensitive monitoring of ALKBH3 activity. A 3MeC‐modified initiator DNA was designed as the substrate of ALKBH3. Upon ALKBH3‐mediated DNA repair to remove the lesion from initiator DNA, it effectively triggered CHA circuits to generate duplexes that could be recognized by CRISPR/Cas12a to activate the trans‐cleavage activity, resulting significant fluorescence increase. We showed that our method could sensitively detection ALKBH3 activity with a calculated detection limit of 30.5 pM. We also showed that it allowed efficient screening of enzyme inhibitors. Epilepsy is a common chronic neurological disorder characterized by widespread neuronal death. The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of nuclear factor erythroid 2‐related factor 2 (Nrf2) m6A methylation in epilepsy. To create epileptic models, the rats were given Lithium chloride and pilocarpine, and isolated primary rat hippocampal neurons were cultured in an Mg2+‐free medium. The frequency of seizures was recorded in the epilepsy group of rats. The functional tests included TUNEL, MTT, and flow cytometry. Mechanistically, RNA degradation assay, RNA immunoprecipitation, and methylated RNA immunoprecipitation were performed. In epileptic models, Nrf2 and fat mass and obesity‐associated (FTO) levels were downregulated, whereas YT521‐B homology (YTH) domain family protein 2 (YTHDF2) was upregulated. Additionally, in epileptic models, there was a rise in the m6A methylation level of Nrf2 mRNA. Overexpressing FTO increased cell viability and reduced apoptosis, but Nrf2 interference reversed these effects. Meanwhile, FTO overexpression decreased the m6A methylation of Nrf2 mRNA. Moreover, YTHDF2 bound to Nrf2 mRNA and decreased its stability. Furthermore, FTO overexpression reduced seizure frequency in rats and inhibited hippocampal neuron apoptosis via lowering the m6A methylation level of Nrf2 mRNA. Overexpressing FTO reduced m6A methylation of Nrf2 mRNA, increased cell viability, suppressed apoptosis, and slowed the progression of epileptic diseases, which is linked to YTHDF2 binding to m6A‐modified Nrf2 and promoting its degradation, as well as downregulating Nrf2 expression in hippocampal neurons. The number of abandoned buildings in shrinking cities is increasing sharply, posing environment risks, threatening the safety and health of residents, affecting the real estate market, and burdening government finance. Abandoned building detection provides fundamental information for refined urban management, real estate transactions and government decision-making. However, emerging sources of data, such as satellite imagery and commercial street views, are insufficient to timely collect this fine-scale data, lacking large-scale and fine-grained detection method. Therefore, in this research, we aim to define the connotation and identification criteria of abandoned buildings, develop an effective deep learning method based on image segmentation, and detect individual abandoned buildings from large-scale mobile sensing images (MSIs) with high accuracy. The study conducted a mobile sensing campaign in a shrinking city in Northeast China, collecting 11,359 street-level images of 126.2 km of urban roads. The accuracy of the deep learning detection method was 83.8%. The study compared with the detection of commercial street view images (latest in 2015) and analyzed the dynamic changes of abandoned buildings. From 2015 to 2021, the number of abandoned buildings in the case city decreased from 102 to 50 and became more concentrated in the old city area. As a toxic heavy metal, cadmium (Cd) is one of the principal pollutants influencing rice productivity and food security. Despite several studies, the underlying mechanism of Cd response in plants remains largely unclear. Dehydrins are part of the late embryogenesis abundant (LEA) family which protect plants against abiotic stresses. In this study, a Cd-responsive LEA gene, OsDHN2, was functionally characterized. The chromosome localization results indicated that OsDHN2 was located on chromosome 2 of rice. Meanwhile, cis-acting elements, such as MBS (MYB binding site involved in drought-inducibility), ARE (anaerobic induction), and ABRE (abscisic acid), were present in the OsDHN2 promoter region. Expression pattern analysis also showed that OsDHN2 expression was induced in both roots and shoots under Cd stress. Overexpression of OsDHN2 improved Cd tolerance and reduced Cd concentration in yeast. Moreover, increased expression levels of SOD1, CTA1, GSH1, or CTT1 were found in transgenic yeast under Cd stress, suggesting the increased antioxidant enzymatic activities. Members of transition metal dichalcogenides, particularly molybdenum disulfide, have been recognized as promising efficient and durable earth‐abundant catalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Despite the recent significant progress, the HER performance of MoS2 is still far from satisfactory, especially at high current densities. Here, a simultaneous multilevel structural control strategy is reported to cooperatively boost hydrogen evolution on 2H‐MoS2, unlocking its potential for practical hydrogen evolution at ampere‐level current densities. By confining the epitaxial growth of few‐layered, curved MoS2 nanosheets within a tubular mesoporous graphitic framework, one can achieve deliberate structural control of MoS2 across seven orders of magnitude on the length scale. The resulting MoS2@C supertubes, benefiting from their unique structural features across atomic‐to‐microscopic scales, are characterized by abundant edge sites and sulfur vacancies, facilitated charge and mass transport, and rapid gas bubble removal. As a consequence, such MoS2@C supertubes exhibit exceptional high‐current‐density HER activity surpassing previously reported 2H‐MoS2 catalysts and even commercial Pt/C catalysts. This work demonstrates the validity of multilevel structural engineering of 2H‐MoS2 by confinement growth, opening a viable route of developing low‐cost catalysts toward practical hydrogen evolution. The phase composition, microstructure, and mechanical properties of the WB2–B4C composites fabricated by a combination of boro/carbothermal reduction and spark plasma sintering (SPS) method with WO3, B4C, and graphite as raw materials were investigated in this study. The experimental results showed that the relative density of the as‐sintered WB2–B4C composites was ∼93.1% and ∼99.5%, respectively, after being SPS sintered at 1600°C under the applied load of 30 MPa for 10 min. Scanning electron microscope analysis showed that a network structure with WB2 grains surrounded by B4C grains was observed after sintering. Analyses of high‐resolution TEM showed semi‐coherent interface and lattice distortion transition region between WB2 and B4C grains. The Vickers hardness of WB2–B4C composite increased to 22.3 ± 0.9 GPa at 9.8 N owing to the fully dense, solid solution of C, and three‐dimensional network structure. Moreover, the fracture toughness and flexural strength of WB2–B4C composite reach 6.04 ± 0.81 MPa m1/2 and 750 ± 80 MPa, respectively, which could be attributed to the semi‐coherent interface between WB2 and B4C grains. Although combined photodynamic/photothermal therapy (PDT/PTT) has been used for cancer theranostics recently, their therapeutic efficacy has been compromised by the low O2 partial pressure and high concentration of GSH in the tumor microenvironment (TME). Thus, the construction of intelligent TME-responsive nanocomplexes is a powerful strategy for addressing the above issues. In this study, MnO2-coated Prussian blue nanocomplexes (PM NPs) were designed as O2 suppliers and GSH depletion agents to reprogram the TME. Subsequently, tumor-targeting peptide (RGD)-modified erythrocyte membrane vesicles loaded with photosensitizer (Ce6) were used to camouflage PM NPs (PMRCR NPs). Importantly, the prepared PMRCR NPs exhibited excellent photothermal performance with a photothermal conversion efficiency of 44.9%. Moreover, the in vitro PDT/PTT was enhanced, by which the cell viability was reduced to 21.4%, which is lower than the 55.6% (PDT) and 66.7% (PTT) of PMRCR NPs with a single laser treatment. By modeling 4T1 tumor-bearing mice, the combined PDT/PTT of PMRCR NPs greatly inhibited tumor growth, and after 20 days, a tumor inhibition rate of 92.9% was achieved. Aim: Progesterone resistance is an epigenetic factor that reduces endometrial receptivity and causes implantation failure in women with endometriosis. In addition, dysregulated miRNAs contribute to the underlying pathogenic mechanisms of endometriosis. This study aimed to determine the effect of miR‐297 on the progesterone receptor (PR) expression and on insufficient decidualization of endometrial stromal cells (ESCs) within the eutopic endometria of infertile women with minimal or mild endometriosis. Methods: ESCs were isolated from infertile endometriosis and normal patients and were transfected with miR‐297 mimic or miR‐297 inhibitor or respective control. qRT‐PCR and western blot were conducted to quantify the expression of miR‐297 and PR. The effect of miR‐297 on ESCs decidualization was investigated by induced decidualization in vitro. Results: We observed an increase in miR‐297 expression and a decrease in the expression of PR in the ESCs from endometriosis patients. Moreover, the expression of PR, most notably PRB, was found to be downregulated following transfection with miR‐297 mimic and upregulated following treatment with miR‐297 inhibitor. In addition, overexpressed miR‐297 inhibited the decidualization of ESCs in vitro. We further determined that miR‐297 exerts direct regulatory effects on PR expression. Conclusions: We demonstrated that miR‐297 interferes with fertility by repressing the expression of PR and preventing efficient decidualization in eutopic endometria. Further, miR‐297 directly contributes to progesterone resistance in minimal or mild cases of endometriosis. The structural evolution, electronic property and spectral analysis of YGenq (n = 4–20, q = 0, −1) has been examined under the framework of density functional theory combined with the Artificial Bees Colony and the Saunders 'Kick' algorithm. The global minimum structure of the YGen- cluster is recognised by contrasting the simulated and measured photoelectron spectra (PES). Average binding energies, second difference energies, highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO)-lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) gaps are shown as size change and display abnormal stability at n = 16. Natural population analysis (NPA) shows the charge transfer from Ge to Y atom is 4.62 e in YGe16-, forming ionic bonds. HOMO–LUMO orbitals are mainly composed of Ge atoms. Electron localisation function (ELF) reveals the electrostatic force between Y and Ge atoms and the covalent interaction between each two Ge atoms, which is in accordance with the bond analysis. Developing countries are deprived of resources, and their economies are dwindling. Energy shortfall is one of the leading issues in developing countries that not only shatter economies but is the leading cause of depletion of natural resources and environmental pollution. There is an urgent need to shift to renewable energy sources to save economies and natural resources and to save our ecological system. Aiming for this, we have collected a cross-sectional data set to study the household intentions of shifting to wind energy and analysed the moderated mediation interactions of the variable to better understand socio-economic and personal factors. 840 responses were analysed using smart-PLS 4.0; results revealed that cost value and social influence directly relate to renewable energy adoption. Environmental knowledge directly influences attitude towards the environment, and health consciousness influences perceived behavioural control. Results also revealed that social influence strengthens the indirect relationship between awareness of renewable energy and its adoption, while it weakens the indirect relationship between health consciousness and renewable energy adoption. Background: As a result of antigenic drift, current influenza vaccines provide limited protection against circulating influenza viruses, and vaccines with broad cross protection are urgently needed. Hemagglutinin stalk domain and ectodomain of matrix protein 2 are highly conserved among influenza viruses and have great potential for use as a universal vaccine. Methods: In this study, we co-expressed the stalk domain and M2e on the surface of cell membranes and generated chimeric and standard virus-like particles of influenza to improve antigen immunogenicity. We subsequently immunized BALB/c mice through intranasal and intramuscular routes. Results: Data obtained demonstrated that vaccination with VLPs elicited high levels of serum-specific IgG (approximately 30-fold higher than that obtained with soluble protein), induced increased ADCC activity to the influenza virus, and enhanced T cell as well as mucosal immune responses. Furthermore, mice immunized by VLP had elevated level of mucosal HA and 4M2e specific IgA titers and cytokine production as compared to mice immunized with soluble protein. Additionally, the VLP-immunized group exhibited long-lasting humoral antibody responses and effectively reduced lung viral titers after the challenge. Compared to the 4M2e-VLP and mHA-VLP groups, the chimeric VLP group experienced cross-protection against the lethal challenge with homologous and heterologous viruses. The stalk domain specific antibody conferred better protection than the 4M2e specific antibody. Conclusion: Our findings demonstrated that the chimeric VLPs anchored with the stalk domain and M2e showed efficacy in reducing viral loads after the influenza virus challenge in the mice model. This antibody can be used in humans to broadly protect against a variety of influenza virus subtypes. Brassica oleracea displays remarkable morphological variations. It intrigued researchers to study the underlying cause of the enormous diversification of this organism. However, genomic variations in complex heading traits are less known in B. oleracea. Herein, we performed a comparative population genomics analysis to explore structural variations (SVs) responsible for heading trait formation in B. oleracea. Synteny analysis showed that chromosomes C1 and C2 of B. oleracea (CC) shared strong collinearity with A01 and A02 of B. rapa (AA), respectively. Two historical events, whole genome triplication (WGT) of Brassica species and differentiation time between AA and CC genomes, were observed clearly by phylogenetic and Ks analysis. By comparing heading and non-heading populations of B. oleracea genomes, we found extensive SVs during the diversification of the B. oleracea genome. We identified 1205 SVs that have an impact on 545 genes and might be associated with the heading trait of cabbage. Overlapping the genes affected by SVs and the differentially expressed genes identified by RNA-seq analysis, we identified six vital candidate genes that may be related to heading trait formation in cabbage. Further, qRT-PCR experiments also verified that six genes were differentially expressed between heading leaves and non-heading leaves, respectively. Collectively, we used available genomes to conduct a comparison population genome analysis and identify candidate genes for the heading trait of cabbage, which provides insight into the underlying reason for heading trait formation in B. oleracea. Objective: Septate uterus is the most common structural uterine anomaly, which is related to the adverse pregnancy outcomes in women of childbearing age. This article provides a retrospective review of hysteroscopic uterine septum resection performed in our hospital during recent years, focusing on the patients with recurrent miscarriage and primary infertility, and also to identify which patients are more likely to benefit from the surgery. Methods: This is a single-center retrospective study. Cases of women who underwent hysteroscopic septum resection at West China Second Hospital of Sichuan University from January 2014 to December 2019, retrieved through the medical record system, were divided into three groups: Group A was the recurrent miscarriage group, Group B had a history of pregnancy with spontaneous abortion once at most, and Group C was the primary infertility group. Each patient was followed up by telephone about further pregnancy, miscarriage and live birth for at least 1 year. Results: A total of 176 surgical patients were included in this study. Group A, B, and C include 42, 74, and 60 cases, respectively. The postoperative pregnancy rates of the three groups were 71.4, 82.4, and 75.0%; live births rates were 50.0, 74.3, and 71.7%; and spontaneous abortion rates were 21.4, 17.6, and 13.3%. 62 patients had a complete uterine septum and 114 had a partial uterine septum. For patients with complete septate uterus, the preoperative pregnancy rate was 54.84% and the pregnancy rate increased to 85.48% after surgery; and yet the preoperative and postoperative pregnancy rates in patients with partial septate uterus were close (from 71.9 to 72.8%). Conclusions: After uterine septum resection, the pregnancy rate and spontaneous abortion rate in RSA patients were not significantly different from the other two groups, but the live birth rate was still significantly lower. Background: With rapid urbanization, the urban environment, especially the neighborhood environment, has received increasing global attention. However, a comprehensive overview of the association between neighborhood risk factors and human health remains unclear due to the large number of neighborhood risk factor–human health outcome pairs. Method: On the basis of a whole year of panel discussions, we first obtained a list of 5 neighborhood domains, containing 33 uniformly defined neighborhood risk factors. We only focused on neighborhood infrastructure-related risk factors with the potential for spatial interventions through urban design tools. Subsequently, following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, a systematic meta-review of 17 infrastructure-related risk factors of the 33 neighborhood risk factors (e.g., green and blue spaces, proximity to major roads, and proximity to landfills) was conducted using four databases, Web of Science, PubMed, OVID, and Cochrane Library, from January 2000 to May 2021, and corresponding evidence for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) was synthesized. The review quality was assessed according to the A MeaSurement Tool to Assess Systematic Reviews (AMSTAR) standard. Results: Thirty-three moderate-and high-quality reviews were included in the analysis. Thirteen major NCD outcomes were found to be associated with neighborhood infrastructure-related risk factors. Green and blue spaces or walkability had protective effects on human health. In contrast, proximity to major roads, industry, and landfills posed serious threats to human health. Inconsistent results were obtained for four neighborhood risk factors: facilities for physical and leisure activities, accessibility to infrastructure providing unhealthy food, proximity to industry, and proximity to major roads. Conclusions: This meta-review presents a comprehensive overview of the effects of neighborhood infrastructure-related risk factors on NCDs. Findings on the risk factors with strong evidence can help improve healthy city guidelines and promote urban sustainability. Boron (B) is an essential mineral nutrient for growth of plants, and B deficiency is now a worldwide problem that limits production of B deficiency-sensitive crops, such as rape and cotton. Agronomic practice has told that balanced B and other mineral nutrient fertilizer applications is helpful to promote crop yield. In recent years, much research has reported that applying B can also reduce the accumulation of toxic elements such as cadmium and aluminum in plants and alleviate their toxicity symptoms. Therefore, the relation between B and other elements has become an interesting issue for plant nutritionists. Here we summarize the research progress of the interaction between B and macronutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and sulfur, essential micronutrients such as iron, manganese, zinc, copper, and molybdenum, and beneficial elements such as sodium, selenium, and silicon. Moreover, the interaction between B and toxic elements such as cadmium and aluminum, which pose a serious threat to agriculture, is also discussed in this paper. Finally, the possible physiological mechanisms of the interaction between B and other elements in plants is reviewed. We propose that the cell wall is an important intermediary between interaction of B and other elements, and competitive inhibition of elements and related signal transduction pathways also play a role. Currently, research on the physiological role of B in plants mainly focuses on its involvement in the structure and function of cell walls, and our understanding of the details for interactions between B and other elements also tend to relate to the cell wall. However, we know little about the metabolic process of B inside cells, including its interactions with other elements. Purpose: Genotype‐phenotypic correlation of KCNH1 variant remains elusive. This study aimed to expand the phenotypic spectrum of KCNH1 and explore the correlations between epilepsy and molecular sub‐regional locations. Methods: We performed whole‐exome sequencing in a cohort of 98 patients with familiar febrile seizure (FS) or epilepsy with unexplained etiologies. The damaging effects of variants were predicted by protein modeling and multiple in silico tools. All reported patients with KCNH1 pathogenic variants with detailed neurological phenotypes were analyzed to evaluate the genotype‐phenotype correlation. Results: Two novel KCNH1 variants were identified in three cases, including two patients with FS with inherited variant (p.Ile113Thr) and one boy with epilepsy with de novo variant (p.Arg357Trp). Variant Ile113Thr was located within the eag domain, and variant p.Arg357Trp was located in transmembrane domain 4 of KCNH1, respectively. Two patients experienced refractory status epilepticus (SE), of which one patient died of acute encephalopathy induced by SE. Further analysis of 30 variants in 51 patients demonstrated that de novo variants were associated with epileptic encephalopathy, while mosaic/somatic or germline variants cause isolated epilepsy/FS. All hotspot variants associated with epileptic encephalopathy clustered in transmembrane domain (S4 and S6), while those with isolated epilepsy/seizures or TBS/ZLS without epilepsy were scattered in the KCNH1. Conclusions: We found two novel missense variants of KCNH1 in three individuals with isolated FS/epilepsy. Variants in the KCNH1 cause a spectrum of epileptic disorders ranging from a benign form of genetic isolated epilepsy/FS to intractable form of epileptic encephalopathy. Herein, a novel antimony fluoroberyllate, KSb(BeF3)F3, exhibiting a distinctive 1D [BeF3]∞− polyanion chain, has been successfully synthesized using a totally fluorine strategy. Innovatively, by introducing a Be–F bond with a large electronegativity difference and completely eliminating the suspended oxygen atoms in the structure, KSb(BeF3)F3 exhibits a large optical bandgap (5.3 eV). Furthermore, KSb(BeF3)F3 shows a large birefringence (0.11@546 nm), larger than that of other reported alkali/alkaline earth metal oxysalts with tetrahedral units only, showing that the reported compound is a potential practical short-wave ultraviolet birefringent material. First principles theoretical studies reveal that the excellent properties originate from the cooperation of the 1D infinite [BeF3]∞− polyanion chains and SbF6 octahedra. The totally fluorine strategy we adopted not only resulted in a novel structure, which facilitated the diversification of structural types of the antimony-based materials, but also achieved the bandgap tuning of the materials. Three new terpenes were isolated from Pteris cretica L., namely ptercresions A (1), B (2) and C (3), together with two known terpenes and one terpene glycoside respectively identified as callisalignene D (4), berberiside A (5), creoside I (6). The structures of isolates were determined by HR-ESI-MS, ECD, NMR and acid hydrolysate analysis. The in vitro hepatoprotective activities of compounds 1-6 were studied against paracetamol-induced L-02 hepatocyte injury. The concentrated transverse load may lead to the web crippling of pultruded GFRP sections due to the lower transverse mechanical properties. Several investigations have been conducted on the web-crippling behavior of the GFRP sections under room temperature. However, the web-crippling behavior is not yet understood when subjected to elevated temperatures. To address this issue, a finite element model considering the temperature-dependent material properties, Hashin failure criterion and the damage evolution law are successfully developed to simulate the web-crippling behavior of the GFRP I sections under elevated temperatures. The numerical model was validated by the web-crippling experiments at room temperature with the end-two-flange (ETF) and end bearing with ground support (EG) loading configurations. The developed model can accurately predict the ultimate loads and failure modes. Moreover, it was found that the initial damage was triggered by exceeding the shear strength at the web-flange junction near the corner of the bearing plate and independent of the elevated temperatures and loading configurations. The ultimate load and stiffness decreased obviously with the increasing temperature. At 220 °C, the ultimate load of specimens under ETF and EG loading configurations significantly decreased by 57% and 62%, respectively, whereas the elastic stiffness obviously reduced by 87% and 88%, respectively.
