Stretching elastic materials containing nanoparticle lattices is common in research and industrial settings, yet our knowledge of the deformation process remains limited. Understanding how such lattices reconfigure is critically important, as changes in microstructure lead to significant alterations in their performance. This understanding has been extremely difficult to achieve due to a lack of fundamental rules governing the rearrangements. Our study elucidates the physical processes and underlying mechanisms of three-dimensional lattice transformations in a polymeric photonic crystal from 0% to over 200% strain during uniaxial stretching. Corroborated by comprehensive experimental characterizations, we present analytical models that precisely predict both the three-dimensional lattice structures and the macroscale deformations throughout the stretching process. These models reveal how the nanoparticle lattice and matrix polymer jointly determine the resultant structures, which breaks the original structural symmetry and profoundly changes the dispersion of photonic bandgaps. Stretching induces shifting of the main pseudogap structure out from the 1st Brillouin zone and the merging of different symmetry points. Evolutions of multiple photonic bandgaps reveal potential optical singularities shifting with strain. This work sets a new benchmark for the reconfiguration of soft material structures and may lay the groundwork for the study of stretchable three-dimensional topological photonic crystals. In recent years, the ubiquitin–proteasome system (UPS) has become a hot spot in medical research in cervical cancer (CC) and has received extensive attention. Among them, ubiquitin‐specific protease 14 (USP14) is involved in a wide variety of typical cell signaling pathways and is recognized to be involved in the progression of most known tumors. However, the expression and significance of USP14 in CC have not been directly studied. Through database analysis, we found that USP14 was overexpressed in CC, which influenced the FIGO stage and prognosis of CC patients, and it was positively correlated with the expression level of β‐catenin. In this study, USP14 promoted the G1‐S phase transition of Hela and Siha cells and inhibited cell apoptosis, thereby promoting the proliferation, migration, and invasion of CC cells. In addition, USP14 also significantly promoted the growth of subcutaneous tumor in nude mice. We also found that overexpression of USP14 significantly upregulated β‐catenin expression and increased the activity of Wnt/β‐catenin signaling pathway. While knockdown of USP14 resulted in the opposite. These results suggest that USP14 may promote the proliferation of CC by up‐regulating the expression of β‐catenin, contributing to a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of CC and providing a potential therapeutic target. Objective: To evaluate association of preoperative conization with recurrences after laparoscopic radical hysterectomy (LRH) for FIGO 2018 stage IB1 cervical cancer. Methods: This is a retrospective single-center study. Patients who underwent LRH for cervical cancer with squamous, adenosquamous and adenocarcinoma subtype from January 2014 to December 2018 were reviewed. All patients were restaged according to the 2018 FIGO staging system. Those who were in FIGO 2018 stage IB1 met the inclusion criteria. General characteristics and oncologic outcomes including recurrence-free survival (RFS) were analyzed. Results: A total of 1273 patients were included in the analysis. 616 (48.4%) patients underwent preoperative biopsy, and 657 (51.6%) patients underwent conization. Residual disease was observed in 822 (64.6%) patients. During a median follow-up of 50.30 months, 30 (2.4%) patients experienced recurrence. The univariate analysis showed that patients who had larger tumor diameter, the presence of residual tumor at final pathology, and underwent adjuvant treatment had a significant higher risk of recurrence (P < 0.01). Conversely, patients who underwent conization were significantly less likely to experience recurrence (P = 0.001). In the multivariate analysis, the independent risk factor associated with an increased risk of recurrence was resident macroscopic tumor (HR: 38.4, 95% CI 4.20–351.64, P = 0.001). On the contrary, preoperative conization was associated with a significantly lower risk of recurrence (HR: 0.26; 95% CI 0.10–0.63, P = 0.003). The Kaplan–Meier curves showed patients who underwent conization had improved survival over those who underwent biopsy (5 year RFS: 98.6 vs 95.1%, P = 0.001). The 5 year RFS of patients with residual tumor was significantly different (R0: 99.2%, R1: 97.4%, R2: 93.6%, P < 0.001), especially the patients with residual macroscopic tumor after conization (R0: 99.5%, R1: 99.0%, R2:92.4%, P = 0.006). Conclusion: Preoperative conization and the absence of residual tumor at the time of surgery might play a protective role in patients with FIGO 2018 IB1 cervical cancer following LRH, which support the theory of the influence of intraoperative tumor spread during radical hysterectomy. Cervical adenocarcinomas (ADCs), including human papillomavirus (HPV)‐associated (HPVA) and non‐HPVA (NHPVA), though exhibiting a more malignant phenotype and poorer prognosis, are treated identically to squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). This clinical dilemma requires a deeper investigation into their differences. Herein a transcriptomic atlas of SCC, HPVA, and NHPVA‐ADC using single‐cell RNA (scRNA) and T‐cell receptor sequencing (TCR‐seq) is presented. Regarding structural cells, the malignancy origin of epithelial cells, angiogenic tip cells and two subtypes of fibroblasts is revealed. The promalignant properties of the structural cells using organoids are further confirmed. Regarding immune cells, myeloid cells with multiple functions other than antigen presentation and exhausted T lymphocytes contribute to immunosuppression. From the perspective of HPV infection, not only is HPV‐dependent and independent cervical cancer oncogenesis proposed but also three immune reaction patterns mediated by T cells (coordinated/inactive/imbalanced) are identified. Strikingly, diagnostic biomarkers to distinguish ADC from SCC are discovered and prognostic biomarkers with marker genes for malignant epithelial cells, tip cells, and SPP1/C1QC macrophages are generated. Importantly, the efficacy of anti‐CD96 and anti‐TIGIT, not inferior to anti‐PD1, in animal experiments is confirmed and targeted therapies specifically for HPV‐positive SCC, HPVA and NHPVA‐ADC, providing essential clues for further clinical trials, are proposed. Background: The mechanism underlying cervical carcinogenesis that is mediated by persistent human papillomavirus (HPV) infection remains elusive. Aims: Here, for the first time, we deciphered both the temporal transition and spatial distribution of cellular subsets during disease progression from normal cervix tissues to precursor lesions to cervical cancer. Materials & Methods: We generated scRNA‐seq profiles and spatial transcriptomics data from nine patient samples, including two HPV‐negative normal, two HPV‐positive normal, two HPV‐positive HSIL and three HPV‐positive cancer samples. Results: We not only identified three 'HPV‐related epithelial clusters' that are unique to normal, high‐grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL) and cervical cancer tissues but also discovered node genes that potentially regulate disease progression. Moreover, we observed the gradual transition of multiple immune cells that exhibited positive immune responses, followed by dysregulation and exhaustion, and ultimately established an immune‐suppressive microenvironment during the malignant program. In addition, analysis of cellular interactions further verified that a 'homeostasis‐balance‐malignancy' change occurred within the cervical microenvironment during disease progression. Discussion: We for the first time presented a spatiotemporal atlas that systematically described the cellular heterogeneity and spatial map along the four developmental steps of HPV‐related cervical oncogenesis, including normal, HPV‐positive normal, HSIL and cancer. We identified three unique HPV‐related clusters, discovered critical node genes that determined the cell fate and uncovered the immune remodeling during disease escalation. Background: Considering the unique biological behavior of cervical adenocarcinoma (AC) compared to squamous cell carcinoma, we now lack a distinct method to assess prognosis for AC patients, especially for intermediate-risk patients. Thus, we sought to establish a Silva-based model to predict recurrence specific for the intermediate-risk AC patients and guide adjuvant therapy.Methods: 345 AC patients were classified according to Silva pattern, their clinicopathological data and survival outcomes were assessed. Among them, 254 patients with only intermediate-risk factors were identified. The significant cutoff values of four factors (tumor size, lymphovascular space invasion (LVSI), depth of stromal invasion (DSI) and Silva pattern) were determined by univariate and multivariate Cox analyses. Subsequently, a series of four-, three- and two-factor Silva-based models were developed via various combinations of the above factors.Results: (1) We confirmed the prognostic value of Silva pattern using a cohort of 345 AC patients. (2) We established Silva-based models with potential recurrence prediction value in 254 intermediate-risk AC patients, including 12 four-factor models, 30 three-factor models and 16 two-factor models. (3) Notably, the four-factor model, which includes any three of four intermediate-risk factors (Silva C, ≥ 3 cm, DSI > 2/3, and > mild LVSI), exhibited the best recurrence prediction performance and surpassed the Sedlis criteria.Conclusions: Our study established a Silva-based four-factor model specific for intermediate-risk AC patients, which has superior recurrence prediction performance than Sedlis criteria and may better guide postoperative adjuvant therapy. Asparagine endopeptidase (AEP) has specific substrate cleavage ability and plays a pro-cancer role in a variety of cancers. However, the underlying mechanism of AEP in cancer proliferation and migration still remains unclear. Methods: Co-immunoprecipitation and following mass spectrometry were used to identify the substrate of AEP. Western blotting was applied to measure the expression of proteins. Single cell/nuclear-sequences were done to detect the heterogeneous expression of Tmod3 in tumor tissues. CCK-8 assay, flow cytometry assays, colony formation assay, Transwell assay and scratch wound-healing assay were performed as cellular functional experiments. Mouse intracranial xenograft tumors were studied in in vivo experiments. Results: Here we showed that AEP cleaved a ubiquitous cytoskeleton regulatory protein, tropomodulin-3 (Tmod3) at asparagine 157 (N157) and produced two functional truncations (tTmod3-N and tTmod3-C). Truncated Tmod3 was detected in diverse tumors and was found to be associated with poor prognosis of high-grade glioma. Functional studies showed that tTmod3-N and tTmod3-C enhanced cancer cell migration and proliferation, respectively. Animal models further revealed the tumor-promoting effects of AEP truncated Tmod3 in vivo. Mechanistically, tTmod3-N was enriched in the cell cortex and competitively inhibited the pointed-end capping effect of wild-type Tmod3 on filamentous actin (F-actin), leading to actin remodeling. tTmod3-C translocated to the nucleus, where it interacted with Staphylococcal Nuclease And Tudor Domain Containing 1 (SND1), facilitating the transcription of Ras Homolog Family Member A/Cyclin Dependent Kinases (RhoA/CDKs). Conclusion: The newly identified AEP-Tmod3 protease signaling axis is a novel "dual-regulation" mechanism of tumor cell proliferation and migration. Background: Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are involved in the pathogenesis of endometriosis and can be regulated by estrogen. This study aimed to investigate the role of estrogen in regulating the expression and function of lncRNA-H19 in endometriosis. Methods: Endometrial stromal cells (ESCs) were isolated from ectopic, eutopic endometrium with endometriosis and control endometrium without endometriosis, and lncRNA-H19 expression was detected using real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Ectopic endometrial stromal cells (ecESCs) were treated with 17β-estradiol at 10− 8mol/L for 0, 12, 24 and 48 hours, and lncRNA-H19 expressions of cells were evaluated using RT-PCR. After ecESCs were treated with 17β-estradiol for 48 hours, lncRNA-H19 expression was knocked down and cell proliferative and invasive abilities were compared. Results: The expression of lncRNA-H19 in ecESCs was significantly higher than that in eutopic endometrial stromal cells (euESCs) and control ESCs. After treated with 17β-estradiol, ecESCshadupregulatedlncRNA-H19 expression with time-dependent manner. Cell proliferation and invasion increased when estrogen upregulated lncRNA-H19 expression in ecESCs, however, cell proliferation restored and cell invasion did not change when lncRNA-H19 was knocked down in ecESCs. Background: This study aimed to summarize and analyze clinical characteristics and reproductive outcomes in postoperative deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE).Methods: This retrospective cohort study included 55 reproductive-aged patients who were diagnosed with DIE, wished to conceive and underwent resection surgery at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Fudan University, from January 2009-June 2017. Those with any plausible infertility factor or abnormalities in the partner's semen analysis were excluded. Patient characteristics, preoperative symptoms, infertility history, intraoperative findings and reproductive outcomes were followed up and recorded. Risk factors for reproductive outcomes were identified for women who became pregnant versus those who did not by univariate logistic regression. Additionally, pre- and postoperative endometriosis health profile questionnaire-30 (EHP-30), Knowles-Eccersley-Scott Symptom questionnaire (KESS), Cox Menstrual Symptom Scale (CMSS) and Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) scores were used to evaluate the effect of DIE surgery on quality of life.Results: The average age was 30.22 ± 3.62 years, with no difference between the pregnancy and nonpregnancy groups. The average follow-up time was 26.57 ± 14.51 months. There were 34 pregnancies (61.82%): 24 (70.59%) conceived spontaneously and 10 (29.41%) by in vitro fertilization (IVF). Twenty-eight patients (82.35%) had term deliveries. The interval between operation and pregnancy was 10.33 ± 5.6 (1-26) months. Univariate analysis showed that a lower endometriosis fertility index (EFI) score (EFI < 8) was a risk factor for infertility (OR: 3.17 (1.15-10.14), p = .044). For patients with incomplete surgery, postoperative gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRHa) administration improved the pregnancy rate (p < 0.05). Regarding quality of life, there was significant improvement (p < 0.05) in the postoperative EHP-30, KESS and CMSS scores compared with preoperative scores in both groups. Although there was no obvious difference in FSFI scores, significant improvement in dyspareunia was observed (p < 0.05).Conclusions: Overall, the postoperative pregnancy rate of DIE patients was 61.82%. Surgical management of DIE for patients with complaints of pain and with pregnancy intentions was feasible and effective. Long-term expectant treatment should not be advised for patients with lower EFI scores (EFI < 8), and postoperative IVF-ET may be a good choice. In this article, a $Ka$ -band satellite communication (SATCOM) transceiver is first presented using a standard CMOS technology. The proposed $Ka$ -band SATCOM transceiver consists of a high-linearity transmitter (TX) and dual-channel receiver (RX); both TX and RX are based on direct-conversion architecture. By implementing the dual-channel RX, multiple multiplexing modes, including polarization multiplexing and frequency multiplexing, can be enabled depending on the application. The RX variable gain is distributed in both RF blocks and baseband blocks to achieve a wide input dynamic range. The LNA employs a dual-coupling transformer for a low-noise figure (NF) and wideband input matching; moreover, it enhances the amplifier unilateralization characteristic to mitigate the loading effect from switched attenuators. An adjacent channel interference (ACI) cancellation scheme is proposed to further enhance the RX linearity in the frequency multiplexing mode. In the TX, single-turn high-quality-factor transformer is employed to realize matching network and four-way power combining. A prototype of the SATCOM transceiver is fabricated in a standard 65-nm CMOS process. Under 1.05-V supply voltage, the TX achieves a $P_{\mathrm {SAT}}$ of 20.5 dBm and an average output power of 12 dBm with 2% error vector magnitude (EVM) and a 37.6-dB ACPR. The dual-channel RX achieves an NF of 5.4 dB, an IIP3 of −30 dBm on the high-gain mode, the ACI cancellation is measured of 7.9 dB with a 100-MHz signal bandwidth. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The ESGO developed a list of fifteen quality indicators for cervical cancer surgery in order to audit and improve clinical practice in 2020. However, data from the developing countries with high incidence rates of cervical cancer is still lacking. Therefore, we conducted a retrospective study of 7081 cases diagnosed as cervical cancer between 2014 and 2019 in a Chinese single center according to the quality indicators proposed by ESGO. A total of 5952 patients underwent radical procedures, with an average of 992.0 per year. All surgeries were performed or supervised by a certified gynecologic oncologist as surgical qualification grading system has been established. Compared with the low-volume group, patients in the high-volume group (≥15 cases/year) had a shorter hospital stay (P <0.001), more free surgical margins (P =0.031), and less complications (P <0.001), but the 5-year recurrence-free survival and overall survival rates were similar (P >0.05). Treatment was not planned at a multidisciplinary team meeting but with the consultation system. The required preoperative workup was incomplete in 19.7% of patients with pelvic MRI and 45.7% of patients with PET-CT. A total of 1459 (20.6%) patients experienced at least one complication after surgery. The CDC grade IIIb or higher complications occurred in 80 patients, accounting for 5.5% complications. The urological fistula rate within 30 postoperative days were 0.3%. After primary surgical treatment, 97.4% patients had clear vaginal and parametrial margins. After restaging FIGO 2009 to FIGO 2018 system, 14.7% patients with a stage T1b disease were T-upstaged. After a median follow-up of 42 months, recurrence occurred in 448 patients, and 82.1% patients recurred within 2 years. The 2-year RFS rate of patients with pT1b1N0 was 97.3% in 2009 FIGO staging system. Lymph node staging was performed in 99.0% patients with a stage T1 disease. After a primary surgical treatment for a stage pT1b1N0 disease, 28.3% patients received adjuvant chemoradiotherapy. Above all, most of quality indicators reached the targets, except four quality indicators. The quality indicators of ESGO should be popularized and applied in China to guarantee quality of surgery. In this article, a mixed–signal, 32-kHz reference-based 2.4-GHz fractional- ${N}$ over-sampling phase-locked loop (OSPLL) is proposed. Different from the conventional $1\times $ sampling PLL, which only uses zero-crossing timing information of the reference signal, the proposed OSPLL fully utilizes both the voltage and timing domain information of the reference signal and realizes oversampling ratio (OSR) times phase detection (PD) in one reference cycle. The proposed OSPLL employs the digital-to-analog converter (DAC) to construct the reference-like feedback signal in the voltage domain and utilizes the digital-to-time converter (DTC) to improve PD resolution in the time domain. The adaptive lookup table (LuT)-based calibration is proposed to generate the correct information for DAC and DTC control. A clocked passive comparator works as a bang-bang phase detector (BBPD) for the PLL control and LuTs’ construction. The co-design of low-noise analog circuits and digital calibrations enables good jitter and spur performance. The proposed OSPLL is fabricated in 65-nm CMOS technology, with the core area of 0.58 mm2, and the power consumption is 4.97 mW with a 1-V power supply. It achieves 5.79-ps root-mean-square (rms) jitter in fractional- ${N}$ modes with the loop-bandwidth (BWloop) of 200 kHz, corresponding to the figures of merit (FoMs) of −217.8 dB. Introduction: Cervical cancer has high mortality, high recurrence and poor prognosis. Although prognostic biomarkers such as clinicopathological features have been proposed, their accuracy and precision are far from satisfactory. Therefore, novel biomarkers are urgently needed for disease surveillance, prognosis prediction and treatment selection. Materials: Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between cervical cancer and normal tissues from three microarray datasets extracted from the Gene Expression Omnibus platform were identified and screened. Based on these DEGs, a six‐gene prognostic signature was constructed using cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma data from The Cancer Genome Atlas. Next, the molecular functions and related pathways of the six genes were investigated through gene set enrichment analysis and co‐expression analysis. Additionally, immunophenoscore analysis and the QuartataWeb Server were employed to explore the therapeutic value of the six‐gene signature. Results: We discovered 178 overlapping DEGs in three microarray datasets and established a six‐gene (APOC1, GLTP, ISG20, SPP1, SLC24A3 and UPP1) prognostic signature with stable and excellent performance in predicting overall survival in different subgroups. Intriguingly, the six‐gene signature was closely associated with the immune response and tumour immune microenvironment. The six‐gene signature might be used for predicting response to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) and the six genes may serve as new drug targets for cervical cancer. Conclusion: Our study established a novel six‐gene (APOC1, GLTP, ISG20, SPP1, SLC24A3 and UPP1) signature that was closely associated with the immune response and tumour immune microenvironment. The six‐gene signature was indicative of aggressive features of cervical cancer and therefore might serve as a promising biomarker for predicting not only overall survival but also ICI treatment effectiveness. Ovarian cancer patients with homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) tumors would benefit from PARP inhibitor (PARPi) therapy. However, patients with HRD tumors account for less than 50% of the whole cohort, so new biomarkers still need to be developed. Based on the data from the SNP array and somatic mutation profiles in the ovarian cancer genome, we found that high frequency of actionable mutations existed in patients with non‐HRD tumors. Through transcriptome analysis, we identified that a downstream target of the cGAS‐STING pathway, CXCL11, was upregulated in HRD tumors and could be used as a predictor of survival outcome. Further comprehensive analysis of the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) revealed that CXCL11 expression signature was closely correlated with cytotoxic cells, neoantigen load and immune checkpoint blockade (ICB). Clinical trial data confirmed that the expression of CXCL11 could be used as a biomarker for anti‐PD‐1/PD‐L1 therapy. Finally, in vivo and in vitro experiments showed that cancer cells with PARPi treatment increased the expression of CXCL11. Collectively, our study not only provides biomarkers of ovarian cancer complementary to the HRD score but also introduces a potential new perspective for identifying prognostic biomarkers of immunotherapy. Endometriosis has a high recurrence rate after treatment, and there are no effective recurrence predictors. LncRNA H19 has been found to be a predictor of the poor prognosis of multiple diseases. Here, we aimed to investigate the expression and clinical implications of lncRNAH19 in endometriosis and explore the clinical application value of lncRNAH19 for recurrence prediction. LncRNA H19 expression was evaluated in 104 ectopic and eutopic endometrial samples from patients with endometriosis and 50 control endometrial samples from patients without endometriosis. The association between lncRNA H19 expression and the clinical characteristics of endometriosis as well as its value as a potential predictor of recurrence were analyzed. LncRNA H19 expression in the ectopic and eutopic endometria of endometriosis patients was significantly higher than that in the normal endometrium. LncRNA H19 expression in the ectopic endometrium was associated with infertility, recurrence, bilateral ovarian lesions, an increased CA125 level, and revised American Fertility Society (rAFS) stage. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age less than 40 years and lncRNA H19 overexpression in the ectopic endometrium were independent prognostic factors of endometriosis recurrence, and the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve showed that the sensitivity and specificity for predicting recurrence were 90.9% and 61.0%, respectively, when the lncRNA H19 expression level in the ectopic endometrium was higher than 0.0277. LncRNA H19 may be involved in the pathogenesis of endometriosis especially in the mechanism of recurrence and is a novel potential predictor of the recurrence of endometriosis. This article presents a low-cost and area-efficient 28-GHz CMOS phased-array beamformer chip for 5G millimeter-wave dual-polarized multiple-in-multiple-out (MIMO) (DP-MIMO) systems. A neutralized bi-directional technique is introduced in this work to reduce the chip area significantly. With the proposed technique, completely the same circuit chain is shared between the transmitter and receiver. To further minimize the area, an active bi-directional vector-summing phase shifter is also introduced. Area-efficient and high-resolution active phase shifting could be realized in both TX and RX modes. In measurement, the achieved saturated output power for the TX-mode beamformer is 15.1 dBm. The RX-mode noise figure is 4.2 dB at 28 GHz. To evaluate the over-the-air performance, 16 H+16 V sub-array modules are implemented in this work. Each of the sub-array modules consists of four 4 H+4 V chips. Two sub-array modules in this work are capable of scanning the beam from −50° to +50°. A saturated EIRP of 45.6 dBm is realized by 32 TX-mode beamformers. Within 1-m distance, a maximum SC-mode data rate of 15 Gb/s and the 5G new radio downlink packets transmission in 256-QAM could be supported by the module. A 2 × 2 DP-MIMO communication is also demonstrated with two 5G new radio 64-QAM uplink streams. Thanks to the proposed area-efficient bi-directional technique, the required core area for a single element-beamformer is only 0.58 mm2. Objective: To compare survival outcomes of minimally invasive surgery (MIS) and laparotomy in early‐stage cervical cancer (CC) patients. Methods: A multicenter retrospective cohort study was conducted with International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO, 2009) stage IA1 (lymphovascular invasion)‐IIA1 CC patients undergoing MIS or laparotomy at four tertiary hospitals from 2006 to 2017. Propensity score matching and weighting and multivariate Cox regression analyses were performed. Survival was compared in various matched cohorts and subgroups. Results: Three thousand two hundred and fifty‐two patients (2439 MIS and 813 laparotomy) were included after matching. (1) The 2‐ and 5‐year recurrence‐free survival (RFS) (2‐year, hazard ratio [HR], 1.81;95% confidence interval [CI], 1.09‐3.0; 5‐year, HR, 2.17; 95% CI, 1.21‐3.89) or overall survival (OS) (2‐year, HR, 1.87; 95% CI, 1.03‐3.40; 5‐year, HR, 2.57; 95% CI, 1.29‐5.10) were significantly worse for MIS in patients with stage I B1, but not the cohort overall (2‐year RFS, HR, 1.04; 95% CI, 0.76‐1.42; 2‐year OS, HR, 0.99; 95% CI, 0.70‐1.41; 5‐year RFS, HR, 1.12; 95% CI, 0.76‐1.65; 5‐year OS, HR, 1.20; 95% CI, 0.79‐1.83) or other stages (2) In a subgroup analysis, MIS exhibited poorer survival in many population subsets, even in patients with less risk factors, such as patients with squamous cell carcinoma, negative for parametrial involvement, with negative surgical margins, negative for lymph node metastasis, and deep stromal invasion < 2/3. (3) In the cohort treated with (2172, 54%) or without adjuvant treatment (1814, 46%), MIS showed worse RFS than laparotomy in patients treated without adjuvant treatment, whereas no differences in RFS and OS were observed in adjuvant‐treatment cohort. (4) Inadequate surgeon proficiency strongly correlated with poor RFS and OS in patients receiving MIS compared with laparotomy. Conclusions: MIS exhibited poorer survival outcomes than laparotomy group in many population subsets, even in low‐risk subgroups. This article presents the first 39-GHz phased-array transceiver (TRX) chipset for fifth-generation new radio (5G NR). The proposed transceiver chipset consists of 4 sub-array TRX elements with local-oscillator (LO) phase-shifting architecture and built-in calibration on phase and amplitude. The calibration scheme is proposed to alleviate phase and amplitude mismatch between each sub-array TRX element, especially for a large-array transceiver system in the base station (BS). Based on LO phase-shifting architecture, the transceiver has a 0.04-dB maximum gain variation over the 360° full tuning range, allowing constant-gain characteristic during phase calibration. A phase-to-digital converter (PDC) and a high-resolution phase-detection mechanism are proposed for highly accurate phase calibration. The built-in calibration has a measured accuracy of 0.08° rms phase error and 0.01-dB rms amplitude error. Moreover, a pseudo-single-balanced mixer is proposed for LO-feedthrough (LOFT) cancellation and sub-array TRX LO-to-LO isolation. The transceiver is fabricated in standard 65-nm CMOS technology with flip-chip packaging. The 8TX–8RX phased-array transceiver module 1-m OTA measurement supports 5G NR 400-MHz 256-QAM OFDMA modulation with −30.0-dB EVM. The 64-element transceiver has a EIRPMAX of 53 dBm. Objective: Currently, the function and mechanisms of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) involved in the metastasis of epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC), especially those of the lncRNAs participated in the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) process, remains largely unknown. Here, we focused on a lncRNA named AOC4P and analysed its role in EOC. Materials and methods: The expression of AOC4P gene was examined with quantitative real-time quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR). The cell migration and invasion were detected by Transwell and scratch assays. The in vivo metastatic activity was evaluated by intraperitoneal metastasis model. The downstream genes were investigated by a tumour EMT real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) array, and validated by qRT-PCR and Western blot. Results: The results showed that AOC4P expression levels were decreased in EOC tissues and cell lines, and that the under-expression of AOC4P was positively correlated with FIGO stage and lymph node metastasis. Furthermore, the knockdown of AOC4P expression in poorly metastatic EOC cell lines remarkably facilitated cell migration/invasion while the overexpression of AOC4P in highly metastatic EOC cell lines reduced the metastatic ability of these cells in vitro. Consistently, the anti-metastatic role of AOC4P in vivo was also verified by bioluminescence imaging and tumour dissection. Mechanistically, the anti-metastatic effect of AOC4P in EOC was partially mediated by the EMT process accompanied by the alterations in MMP9 and COL1A2 expression. Conclusion: These data highlight that AOC4P plays a critical role in EOC invasion/metastasis and could function as a novel and effective target for the lncRNA-based anti-metastatic clinical management of EOC. Purpose: Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are novel type of noncoding RNAs that play important roles and serve as noninvasive biomarkers in various cancers. In the present study, we focused on circFoxO3a and aimed to investigate its prognostic value as a novel serum biomarker for squamous cervical cancer (SCC). Patients and Methods: Our study included 103 SCC patients from Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University. Expression levels of circFoxO3a in the serum of patients with SCC were examined by reverse transcription‑quantitative PCR (RT‑qPCR). The correlation between serum circFoxO3a expression and clinicopathologic factors was analyzed. The Kaplan–Meier method and multivariate Cox regression analysis were applied to evaluate the independent prognostic factors for SCC. A prognostic predictive nomogram was constructed using R software. Results: Levels of serum circFoxO3a were decreased in SCC patients compared with controls. Low expression of circFoxO3a was correlated with deeper stromal invasion and positive lymph node metastasis. Moreover, SCC patients with lower expression of serum circFoxO3a showed poorer prognosis, including both overall survival (OS) and recurrence-free survival (RFS). Multivariate Cox analysis indicated low serum circFoxO3a levels to be an unfavorable prognostic factor for both OS and RFS, independent of positive lymph node metastasis. Notably, the predictive nomogram we established further confirmed that serum circFoxO3a is a useful tool for predicting survival in SCC. Conclusion: Altogether, our findings demonstrated that serum circFoxO3a could serve as a potential novel noninvasive predictive prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for SCC. Objective: To compare using the acellular porcine small intestinal submucosa (SIS) graft or the Interceed in patients with MRKH syndrome undergoing creation of a neovagina.Methods: In this retrospective study, patients with MRKH syndrome undergoing creation of a neovagina from 2016 to 2018 were retrospectively investigated. Wharton-Sheares-George neovaginoplasty was performed using the acellular porcine SIS graft or the Interceed.Results: Overall, 67 patients were included for analysis. The operating time, the estimated blood loss and return of bowel activity were similar between the two groups. However, the total cost in the SIS group was significantly higher than that in the Interceed group due to the cost of the SIS graft. The mean length and width of the neovagina were similar between the two groups. However, the incidence of granulation in vaginal apex was higher in the SIS graft group than that in the Interceed group. There was no statistically significant difference in the total FSFI scores between the two groups who became sexually active postoperatively.Conclusions: Our results demonstrated that Wharton-Sheares-George method provided the patients to have satisfactory sexual intercourse. Purpose: Exosomes are key mediators of cellular communication by transporting molecules, including long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), and have been regarded as promising non-invasive biomarkers. This study aimed to evaluate the expression pattern and clinical significance of serum exosomal lncRNA antisense hypoxia inducible factor (aHIF) in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). Patients and methods: Sixty-two EOC patients in Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University were enrolled. The expression levels of aHIF in tissues and serum exosomes were examined by RT-qPCR. The origin of serum exosomal aHIF was explored in vitro and in vivo. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses were used to evaluate the prognostic factors of EOC. A prognostic predictive nomogram was formulated in R software. Results: We isolated exosomes, identified exosomal aHIF in the serum of EOC patients. The expression of serum exosomal aHIF was higher in EOC patients and was correlated with the aHIF level in EOC tissues. In vitro and in vivo, the results indicated that serum exosomal aHIF was derived from tumor cells. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis demonstrated that EOC patients with higher serum exosomal aHIF expression had poorer overall survival. Cox multivariate regression model revealed that FIGO stage, residual tumor size, and serum exosomal aHIF level were independent prognostic factors of EOC. Based on the prognostic value of serum exosomal aHIF, we established a nomogram model that showed a good predictive ability for EOC patients. Purpose: Ovarian conservation is controversial in patients with cervical adenocarcinoma due to the risk of ovarian metastasis. The aim of this study is to evaluate the association of ovarian conservation with survival outcomes in young patients with T1N0M0 cervical adenocarcinoma.Methods: Women who were 45 years of age or younger with T1N0M0 cervical adenocarcinoma from 1988 to 2013 recorded in the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database were included. Propensity score weighting was used to balance the intragroup differences. Cause-specific survival (CSS) and overall survival (OS) were compared using Kaplan-Meier estimates. A multivariate Cox model was used to adjust for covariates including propensity score. A stratified analysis was then conducted.Results: Totally, 1090 (79.7%) patients underwent oophorectomy and 278 (20.3%) patients whose ovaries were preserved were identified. Patients with preserved ovaries were younger, with a lower T classification and less likely to undergo pelvic lymphadenectomy (all p < 0.05). After propensity weighting, ovarian conservation group had better cause-specific survival (CSS) (5-year 98.8 versus 97.1%, 10-year 98.0 versus 95.2%, p = 0.0370) and overall survival (OS) (5-year 98.8 versus 97.1%, 10-year 96.5 versus 93.5%, p = 0.0025). After adjustment, the CSS benefit of ovarian conservation was marginally significant (p = 0.051) and OS benefit was still significant (p = 0.006). Stratified analysis showed that the CSS benefit was found in T1b classification (HR, 0.23; 95% CI 0.06-0.89, p = 0.033) and histological grade > 1 (HR 0.12; 95% CI 0.02-0.87; p = 0.035).Conclusion: Among young women with T1N0M0 cervical adenocarcinoma, ovarian conservation is associated with better survival. Abstract: 5,11,14,17‐Tetraanilinooctaphenyl double decker silsesquioxane, a well‐defined tetraamino polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS), was synthesized in this work. This novel tetrafunctional POSS amine was employed to prepare polyimide nanocomposites. It was found that the hybrid polyimide nanocomposites displayed nanostructures in which the POSS component was aggregated into spherical microdomains with a diameter of 40 − 80 nm. Compared to unmodified polyimide, the POSS‐containing polyimide nanocomposites displayed improved thermal stability and surface hydrophobicity. Paraoxonase (PON) enzymes possess antioxidant properties and protect against cardiovascular diseases. As a member of PON family, PON3 is primarily synthesized in the liver and poorly investigated. This study aimed to examine the expression of PON3 in human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and investigate the clinical significance and biological function of PON3 in HCC patients. We first analyzed PON3 expression in 50 paired HCC samples (HCC tissues vs matched para-cancerous tissues) and 160 clinical HCC specimens by using immunohistochemistry (IHC). Our results showed that the expression of PON3 was downregulated in HCC and significantly associated with tumor-node-metastasis (TNM) stage, tumor size, and tumor number. Kaplan-Meier survival and Cox regression analyses showed that PON3 was an independent prognostic factor for overall survival (OS) and time to recurrence (TTR). Finally, we aimed to reveal the biological function of PON3 in HCC growth and metastasis, and our results showed that overexpression of PON3 potently inhibited growth and metastasis of HCC. Objective: To describe a modified nerve-sparing panhysterectomy and to investigate the feasibility and impact of this nerve-sparing technique in improving postoperative pelvic visceral dysfunctions of benign uterine disease patients. Methods: From January 2008 to January 2010, a total of 300 patients diagnosed with benign uterine diseases at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University were enrolled. Of those, 150 randomly selected patients underwent modified panhysterectomy (research group), while the other 150 patients underwent conventional panhysterectomy (control group). The surgery-related parameters, including operation time, intraoperative blood loss, length of hospital stay, postoperative indwelling catheter time, and first voiding and defecation time were compared between the two groups. The extent of nerve damage in both groups was examined using the nerve-specific marker S-100 via immunohistochemistry. Besides, postoperative assessments of bladder and bowel functions were conducted within 1 year after the operation. Results: The surgery-related parameters in the two groups showed no significant difference (p > 0.05). Immunohistochemistry results showed significantly reduced damage of the nerves in the research group. We also found a better bladder and bowel function in the research group (p < 0.05) and in younger patients (p < 0.05) compared with that in the control group. Recovery trends of the bladder and bowel function were found in both groups (χ2 = 7.512, p = 0.006 in the research group; χ2 = 7.299, p = 0.007 in the control group). Conclusion: Modified panhysterectomy for benign uterine diseases seems feasible and safe, with the main advantage of improving postoperative urocystic and rectal dysfunctions through the preservation of the pelvic autonomic nerves. © 2015 S. Osteoarthritis (OA) is considered a complex illness, characterized by cartilage degeneration, secondary synovial membrane inflammation, and subchondral bone sclerosis. Previous studies have shown β1,4-galactosylransferase-I (β1,4-GalT-I) to be a key inflammatory mediator that participates in the initiation and maintenance of inflammatory reaction in diseases. In the present study, we investigated the expression and possible biological function of β1,4-GalT-I in the cartilage and synovial tissue of OA patients. Cartilage and synovial tissue samples from OA patients and healthy controls were stained for β1,4-GalT-I. Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction was used to observe the expression of β1,4-GalT-I, and western blot was carried out for E-selectin. The interaction between β1,4-GalT-I and E-selectin was analyzed by double labeling immunohistochemistry and immunoprecipitation. The expression of β1,4-GalT-I increased in the cartilage and synovial tissue of OA patients compared with healthy controls. E-selectin was overexpressed and was correlated with β1,4-GalT-I in OA cartilage and synovial tissue. These data suggest that β1,4-GalT-I may play an important role in the inflammatory processes in cartilage and synovial tissue of patients with OA. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
