Solid oxide electrolysis cells (SOECs), displaying high current density and energy efficiency, have been proven to be an effective technique to electrochemically reduce CO2 into CO. However, the insufficiency of cathode activity and stability is a tricky problem to be addressed for SOECs. Hence, it is urgent to develop suitable cathode materials with excellent catalytic activity and stability for further practical application of SOECs. Herein, a reduced perovskite oxide, Pr0.35Sr0.6Fe0.7Cu0.2Mo0.1O3‐δ (PSFCM0.35), is developed as SOECs cathode to electrolyze CO2. After reduction in 10% H2/Ar, Cu and Fe nanoparticles are exsolved from the PSFCM0.35 lattice, resulting in a phase transformation from cubic perovskite to Ruddlesden–Popper (RP) perovskite with more oxygen vacancies. The exsolved metal nanoparticles are tightly attached to the perovskite substrate and afford more active sites to accelerate CO2 adsorption and dissociation on the cathode surface. The significantly strengthened CO2 adsorption capacity obtained after reduction is demonstrated by in situ Fourier transform‐infrared (FT‐IR) spectra. Symmetric cells with the reduced PSFCM0.35 (R‐PSFCM0.35) electrode exhibit a low polarization resistance of 0.43 Ω cm2 at 850 °C. Single electrolysis cells with the R‐PSFCM0.35 cathode display an outstanding current density of 2947 mA cm−2 at 850 °C and 1.6 V. In addition, the catalytic stability of the R‐PSFCM0.35 cathode is also proved by operating at 800 °C with an applied constant current density of 600 mA cm−2 for 100 h. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background Deep learning (DL) is promising to detect glaucoma. However, patients' privacy and data security are major concerns when pooling all data for model development. We developed a privacy-preserving DL model using the federated learning (FL) paradigm to detect glaucoma from optical coherence tomography (OCT) images. Methods This is a multicentre study. The FL paradigm consisted of a 'central server' and seven eye centres in Hong Kong, the USA and Singapore. Each centre first trained a model locally with its own OCT optic disc volumetric dataset and then uploaded its model parameters to the central server. The central server used FedProx algorithm to aggregate all centres' model parameters. Subsequently, the aggregated parameters are redistributed to each centre for its local model optimisation. We experimented with three three-dimensional (3D) networks to evaluate the stabilities of the FL paradigm. Lastly, we tested the FL model on two prospectively collected unseen datasets. Results We used 9326 volumetric OCT scans from 2785 subjects. The FL model performed consistently well with different networks in 7 centres (accuracies 78.3%-98.5%, 75.9%-97.0%, and 78.3%-97.5%, respectively) and stably in the 2 unseen datasets (accuracies 84.8%-87.7%, 81.3%-84.8%, and 86.0%-87.8%, respectively). The FL model achieved non-inferior performance in classifying glaucoma compared with the traditional model and significantly outperformed the individual models. Conclusion The 3D FL model could leverage all the datasets and achieve generalisable performance, without data exchange across centres. This study demonstrated an OCT-based FL paradigm for glaucoma identification with ensured patient privacy and data security, charting another course toward the real-world transition of artificial intelligence in ophthalmology. Zero-plane is an important reference level included in the logarithmic velocity profile. The prediction of the zero-plane displacement remains challenging, especially in open-channel flows with submerged vegetation. In this study, we first review the existing formulas for estimating the zero-plane displacement. Then, we conducted a series of laboratory experiments of open-channel flows with submerged rigid vegetation, by varying flow rate, water depth, vegetation density, and stem diameter. By utilizing particle image velocimetry (PIV) technique, the spatio-temporal averaged (double-averaged) flow velocity and Reynolds shear stress profiles were obtained. The data analysis shows that the zero-plane displacement is almost proportional to the surface layer depth for the shallow flow cases. As the flow depth increases, the zero-plane displacement tends to be constant and increases with decreasing vegetation density. This result substantiates the hypothesis that the zero-plane displacement is related to large-scale eddies. Lastly, a heuristic model is developed to explain possible variations of the large-scale eddies, which yields a formula for predicting the zero-plane displacement for flows subjected to submerged rigid vegetation. Mushroom poisoning contributes significantly to global foodborne diseases and related fatalities. Amanita mushrooms frequently cause such poisonings; however, identifying these toxic species is challenging due to the unavailability of fresh and intact samples. It is often necessary to analyze residues, vomitus, or stomach extracts to obtain DNA sequences for the identification of species responsible for causing food poisoning. This usually proves challenging to obtain usable DNA sequences that can be analyzed using conventional molecular biology techniques. Therefore, this study aimed to develop a DNA mini-barcoding method for the identification of Amanita species. Following the evaluation and optimization of universal primers for DNA mini-barcoding in Amanita mushrooms, we found that the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) gene sequence primer ITS-a was the most suitable DNA barcode primer for identifying Amanita species. Forty-three Amanita samples were subsequently amplified and sequenced. The sequences obtained were analyzed for intra- and inter-species genetic distances, and a phylogenetic tree was constructed. The findings indicated that the designed primers had strong universality among the Amanita samples and could accurately identify the target gene fragment with a length of 290 bp. Notably, the DNA mini-barcode accurately identified the 43 Amanita samples, demonstrating high consistency with the conventional DNA barcode. Furthermore, it effectively identified DNA from digested samples. In summary, this DNA mini-barcode is a promising tool for detecting accidental ingestion of toxic Amanita mushrooms. It may be used as an optimal barcode for species identification and traceability in events of Amanita-induced mushroom poisoning. Mainstream environmental politics tends to measure the success of a policy through its quantitative environmental performance. Under Xi's rule, China's model of 'Authoritarian Environmentalism' is often assessed for its effectiveness; however, the facets of policy legitimacy have largely been overlooked. This research explores the policy legitimacy deficit of China's authoritarian environmentalism by examining the case of 'Ban on Coal Furnace' (BCF) project in Hebei province. Drawing on extensive fieldwork and policy discourse analysis, this article suggests that while the BCF project succeeded in environmental performance, both in policy outputs and outcomes, it failed in maintaining policy legitimacy essential for sustaining these policy outcomes over the long term. Integrating the three distinctive aspects of policy outputs, outcomes and legitimacy, this study highlights an inherent Performance-Legitimacy dilemma within China's Authoritarian Environmentalism: on the one hand, the top leader's strong political will is crucial for achieving effective performance. On the other hand, however, policy legitimacy may suffer when local officials adopt an excessively coercive campaign-style implementation approach that overlooks local needs and interests. Background: The production of succinic acid (SA) from biomass has attracted worldwide interest. Saccharomyces cerevisiae is preferred for SA production due to its strong tolerance to low pH conditions, ease of genetic manipulation, and extensive application in industrial processes. However, when compared with bacterial producers, the SA titers and productivities achieved by engineered S. cerevisiae strains were relatively low. To develop efficient SA-producing strains, it's necessary to clearly understand how S. cerevisiae cells respond to SA. Results: In this study, we cultivated five S. cerevisiae strains with different genetic backgrounds under different concentrations of SA. Among them, KF7 and NBRC1958 demonstrated high tolerance to SA, whereas NBRC2018 displayed the least tolerance. Therefore, these three strains were chosen to study how S. cerevisiae responds to SA. Under a concentration of 20 g/L SA, only a few differentially expressed genes were observed in three strains. At the higher concentration of 60 g/L SA, the response mechanisms of the three strains diverged notably. For KF7, genes involved in the glyoxylate cycle were significantly downregulated, whereas genes involved in gluconeogenesis, the pentose phosphate pathway, protein folding, and meiosis were significantly upregulated. For NBRC1958, genes related to the biosynthesis of vitamin B6, thiamin, and purine were significantly downregulated, whereas genes related to protein folding, toxin efflux, and cell wall remodeling were significantly upregulated. For NBRC2018, there was a significant upregulation of genes connected to the pentose phosphate pathway, gluconeogenesis, fatty acid utilization, and protein folding, except for the small heat shock protein gene HSP26. Overexpression of HSP26 and HSP42 notably enhanced the cell growth of NBRC1958 both in the presence and absence of SA. Conclusions: The inherent activities of small heat shock proteins, the levels of acetyl-CoA and the strains' potential capacity to consume SA all seem to affect the responses and tolerances of S. cerevisiae strains to SA. These factors should be taken into consideration when choosing host strains for SA production. The majority of advanced breast cancers exhibit strong aggressiveness, heterogeneity, and drug resistance, and currently, the lack of effective treatment strategies is one of the main challenges that cancer research must face. Therefore, developing a feasible preclinical model to explore tailored treatments for refractory breast cancer is urgently needed. We established organoid biobanks from 17 patients with breast cancer and characterized them by immunohistochemistry (IHC) and next generation sequencing (NGS). In addition, we in the first combination of patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) with mini‐patient‐derived xenografts (Mini‐PDXs) for the rapid and precise screening of drug sensitivity. We confirmed that breast cancer organoids are a high‐fidelity three‐dimension (3D) model in vitro that recapitulates the original tumour's histological and genetic features. In addition, for a heavily pretreated patient with advanced drug‐resistant breast cancer, we combined PDO and Mini‐PDX models to identify potentially effective combinations of therapeutic agents for this patient who were alpelisib + fulvestrant. In the drug sensitivity experiment of organoids, we observed changes in the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signalling axis and oestrogen receptor (ER) protein expression levels, which further verified the reliability of the screening results. Our study demonstrates that the PDO combined with mini‐PDX model offers a rapid and precise drug screening platform that holds promise for personalized medicine, improving patient outcomes and addressing the urgent need for effective therapies in advanced breast cancer. Existing deep learning techniques for image fusion either learn image mapping (LIM) directly, which renders them ineffective at preserving details due to the equal consideration to each pixel, or learn detail mapping (LDM), which only attains a limited level of performance because only details are used for reasoning. The recent lossless invertible network (INN) has demonstrated its detail-preserving ability. However, the direct applicability of INN to the image fusion task is limited by the volume-preserving constraint. Additionally, there is the lack of a consistent detail-preserving image fusion framework to produce satisfactory outcomes. To this aim, we propose a general paradigm for image fusion based on a novel conditional INN (named DCINN). The DCINN paradigm has three core components: a decomposing module that converts image mapping to detail mapping; an auxiliary network (ANet) that extracts auxiliary features directly from source images; and a conditional INN (CINN) that learns the detail mapping based on auxiliary features. The novel design benefits from the advantages of INN, LIM, and LDM approaches while avoiding their disadvantages. Particularly, using INN to LDM can easily meet the volume-preserving constraint while still preserving details. Moreover, since auxiliary features serve as conditional features, the ANet allows for the use of more than just details for reasoning without compromising detail mapping. Extensive experiments on three benchmark fusion problems, i.e., pansharpening, hyperspectral and multispectral image fusion, and infrared and visible image fusion, demonstrate the superiority of our approach compared with recent state-of-the-art methods. Remarkable achievements have been made in the development of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) with a rapidly boosting rate of power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) from 3.8% to 26.1%. Nevertheless, the toxicity of lead (Pb) elements and the hygroscopicity of organic cations in high‐efficiency PSCs severely hamper the commercialization of this technology. Consequently, Pb‐free all‐inorganic PSCs have received increasing attention recently to resolve the above‐mentioned toxicity and instability problems. Among various Pb‐free all‐inorganic halide perovskites, cesium bismuth iodide (CBI)‐based perovskites have gained particular attention as light absorbers in PSCs due to the tunable/small bandgaps, long carrier diffusion length/lifetime, and superb sunlight absorption coefficients. Nevertheless, the PCEs of CBI‐based PSCs are still far away from Pb‐based organic–inorganic counterparts because of the low structural dimensions and inferior perovskite film quality. Herein, the recent advances of CBI‐based perovskites as light‐absorbing materials in Pb‐free all‐inorganic PSCs are reviewed by emphasizing the distinct structural/optical/electronic properties and currently existing limitations. Additionally, several distinct strategies to boost the PCEs and robusticity of CBI‐based PSCs are presented. Finally, the unsolved key problems and future directions of CBI‐based PSCs are proposed, aiming to provide important insights for the further development of CBI‐based PSCs to realize sustainable, nontoxic, high‐performance perovskite photovoltaics. Highly active and durable air electrodes are crucial for the commercialization of reversible proton ceramic electrochemical cells (R‐PCECs) for large‐scale energy conversion and storage that may be developed by introducing oxygen ion, electron, and proton triple conducting species into the electrode materials. Here, a new triple conducting nanocomposite is reported as a promising air electrode of R‐PCECs, which consists of a dominated cubic perovskite Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.72Fe0.18Er0.09O3‐δ and a minor Er2O3 phase, developed by Er doping induced phase separation of Ba0.5Sr0.5(Co0.8Fe0.2)0.9Er0.1O3‐δ precursor. The Er doping stimulates the primary perovskite phase to possess excellent hydration capability and oxygen activation ability, while the Er2O3 minor phase, as a high‐speed proton transport channel, further cooperates with the perovskite main phase to boost the kinetic rate of the electrode for both oxygen reduction and evolution reactions (ORR/OER). As a result, the corresponding R‐PCEC achieves extraordinary electrochemical performance in fuel cell (1.327 W cm−2 at 650 °C) and electrolysis modes (−2.227 A cm−2 at 1.3 V and 650 °C), which exceed the similar cell with a typical Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3‐δ single‐phase perovskite air electrode by 82.3% and 122.7%, respectively. Objective: Post-traumatic seizure (PTS) is a well-known complication of traumatic brain injury (TBI). The objective of this study was to identify risk factors associated with breakthrough early PTS in TBI patients receiving phenytoin prophylaxis. Methods: This was a single-centered retrospective study including adult patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU), had a TBI, and started on phenytoin for seizure prophylaxis within 24 h of admission. The primary outcome was the incidence and factors associated with early PTS, defined as a confirmed seizure on a continuous electroencephalogram within 7 days of TBI. Secondary outcomes included the association between early post-traumatic seizures and ICU length of stay, hospital length of stay, and in-hospital mortality. Results: A total of 105 patients were included in the final analysis. Patients with early PTS were older (65 vs. 48 years old, p = 0.01), had a higher Marshall score (5 vs. 2, p = 0.01), were more likely to have a Marshall score > 2 (73 vs. 37%, p = 0.01), and had more neurosurgeries for hematoma evacuation (57 vs. 19%, p = 0.01). In patients with early PTS, 57% had a level at the time of seizure, and of those, 87.5% had a therapeutic level (>10 mcg/mL). Patients with early PTS had a longer ICU length of stay (14.7 vs. 5.9 days, p = 0.04) and a greater proportion of hospital mortality (21 vs. 2%, p = 0.02). Conclusion: Patients with higher age, Marshall score, and neurosurgical procedures for hematoma evacuation had higher incidences of breakthrough early PTS despite the use of phenytoin prophylaxis. The majority of patients with early PTS had therapeutic phenytoin levels at the time of seizure when a level was available; however, approximately half (43%) did not have a level. Purpose: The opioid crisis resulting from its use disorder and overdose poses additional challenges for cancer pain management. The American Society of Clinical Oncology Practice Guideline recommends acupuncture therapy for the management of adult cancer-related pain (CRP), but the effectiveness of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) on CRP remains uncertain. Methods: This 5-week prospective randomized clinical trial was conducted at 2 hospitals in China, and participants with CRP receiving chronic opioid therapy were randomized 1:1 into two groups between December 2014 and June 2018. The true TEAS group underwent 15 sessions of TEAS treatments over 3 consecutive weeks, while the control group received sham stimulation. The primary outcome was the numerical rating scale (NRS) score in the past 24h at week 3. The secondary outcomes included morphine equivalent daily dose, quality of life and adverse events. Results: A total of 159 participants were included in the modified intention-to-treat population. The baseline characteristics were similar in both groups. The mean NRS scores were 0.98 points at week 3 in the true TEAS group and 1.41 points in the sham group, with the mean difference between groups of -0.43 points (P < 0.001; OR = 0.68, P < 0.05). The proportion of patients with NRS reduction more than thirty percentage at week 3 was 50.00% in the true TEAS group and 35.44% in the sham group (RD = 0.15, P > 0.05; RR = 1.41, P > 0.05). No significant difference in pain intensity between the two groups was observed during the follow-up period without TEAS intervention (week 4, OR = 0.83, P > 0.05; week 5, OR = 0.83, P > 0.05). The Karnofsky Performance Status value suggested that patients in the true TEAS group experienced an improved quality of life (Between-group differences: week 3, 3.5%, P < 0.05; week 4, 4.6%, P < 0.001; week 5, 5.6%, P < 0.001). Conclusions: The 3-week application of TEAS in patients with CRP receiving chronic opioid therapy resulted in a statistically significant reduction in pain scores, but the observed reduction was of uncertain clinical significance. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) play critical roles in the carcinogenesis and progression of cancers. However, the role and mechanism of the pseudogene lncRNA PIN1P1 in gastric carcinoma remain unclear. The expression and effects of lncRNA PIN1P1 in gastric cancer were investigated. The transcriptional regulation of CREB1 on PIN1P1 was determined by ChIP and luciferase assays. The mechanistic model of PIN1P1 in gastric cancer was further explored by RNA pull‐down, RIP and western blot analysis. PIN1P1 was overexpressed in gastric cancer tissues, and upregulated PIN1P1 predicted poor prognosis in patients. CREB1 was directly combined with the promoter region of PIN1P1 to promote the transcription of PIN1P1. CREB1‐mediated enhanced proliferation, migration and invasion could be partially reversed by downregulation of PIN1P1. Overexpressed PIN1P1 promoted the proliferation, migration and invasion of gastric cancer cells, whereas decreased PIN1P1 showed the opposite effects. PIN1P1 directly interacted with YBX1 and promoted YBX1 protein expression, leading to upregulation of PIN1, in which E2F1 may be involved. Silencing of YBX1 during PIN1P1 overexpression could partially rescue PIN1 upregulation. PIN1, the parental gene of PIN1P1, was elevated in gastric cancer tissues, and its upregulation was correlated with poor patient outcomes. PIN1 facilitated gastric cancer cell proliferation, migration and invasion. To sum up, CREB1‐activated PIN1P1 could promote gastric cancer progression through YBX1 and upregulating PIN1, suggesting that it is a potential target for gastric cancer. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: To explore the improving effect of verbascoside on Parkinson's disease (PD) model mice and to clarify the possible mechanism. Methods: 60 C57BL/6 male mice were randomly divided into normal group, model group, low, middle and high dose groups (30,60 and 120 mg/kg, respectively). After a week of adaptive culture, except for the blank group, the subacute model of PD was established by intraperitoneal injection of 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1 (MPTP) in each group for 5 consecutive days. The establishment of the model, the drug group was intragastrically administered continuously for 7 d, and the mice in the normal group were injected with the same amount of saline. The behavioral changes of mice were observed by open field test, pole climbing test and grip test; the morphology, apoptosis and Nissl bodies of substantia nigra neurons were observed by HE staining and Nissl staining; the ultrastructural changes of neurons were observed by transmission electron microscope; the positive expressions of tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), α-synuclein (α-Syn) and toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) were detected by immunohistochemistry. The protein levels of TH, α-Syn, TLR4, NF-κB and P-NF-κB in substantia nigra of mice were detected by Western blot, and the levels of inflammatory factors IL-1 β, IL-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in serum were detected by Elisa. Molecular docking was used to verify the binding ability of verbascoside to TLR4/NF-κB signal pathway and related factors, and molecular dynamics was used to verify the binding mode and stability of verbascoside with compounds. Results: compared with the normal group, the total walking distance, average speed, free activity time, pole climbing time and forelimb grip in the model group were significantly longer than those in the normal group (P < 0. 05). The ultrastructural changes of neurons, nuclear lysis, deformation and mitochondrial damage were observed under transmission electron microscope, and the number and morphological changes of HE staining substantia nigra neurons were decreased (P < 0. 05). Nissl staining showed that the number of Nissl positive cells decreased (P < 0. 05), the positive expression of TH decreased and the positive expression of α-syn and TLR4 increased (P < 0. 05). Western blotting showed that the expression of TH protein decreased, the expression of α-syn, TLR4, NF-κ B p65 protein increased (P < 0. 05), and the expression of IL-1 β, IL-6 and TNF-α in serum increased significantly (P < 0. 05). Compared with the model group, the activity ability of mice in the treatment group was significantly improved (P < 0. 05), the morphology of neurons gradually recovered and the number of neurons increased (P < 0. 05). Efficiently converting CO2 into value-added fuels or chemicals is a significant target for reducing CO2 emissions and achieving carbon neutrality. Solid oxide electrolysis cells (SOECs) are devices where the CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR) takes place with high efficiency and fast kinetics at high temperatures. Since the CO2RR occurring at the cathode side is a sluggish reaction over whole electrode reactions, it is crucial to develop innovative cathode materials with high activity and good durability. Here, we demonstrate a strategy to synergistically optimize the bulk properties of Sr2Fe1.5Mo0.5O6−δ (SFM) and the morphology of the exsolved nanoparticles (NPs) to enhance the CO2RR activity, electrochemical performance, and durability. The partial replacement with zinc in the Fe-site of SFM not only increases the oxygen vacancy concentration of perovskite bulk and improves the CO2 adsorption capacity, but also passivates in situ exsolution of Fe NPs and improves the active sites on the perovskite surface, thus enhancing CO2 electrolysis performance. A novel cathode, Sr2Fe1.4Zn0.1Mo0.5O6−δ (SFZM01), used in a La0.8Sr0.2Ga0.8Mg0.2O3−δ electrolyte-supported single cell, shows a high current density of 2.74 A cm−2 at 850 °C (1.6 V) and excellent durability when operated at a current density of −1.0 A cm−2 at 750 °C. Methods: Patients with HER2-negative mBC were enrolled and randomly assigned (1:1) to receive nab-paclitaxel for a 3-week schedule (125 mg/m2 on days 1 and 8) or a 4-week schedule (same dose on days 1, 8, and 15) until disease progression or treatment intolerance. Patients with intolerable toxicities were allowed to receive a maintenance regimen after benefiting from nab-paclitaxel. The primary endpoint was progression-free survival (PFS). Results: Ninety-four patients were included in the analysis (n = 47 in each arm). A longer median PFS (mPFS) was observed in the 3-week versus the 4-week schedule in the overall population (not reached vs. 6.8 months; hazard ratio [HR] = 0.44; P = .029). Patients in the 2 arms had a similar overall survival (28.0 vs. 25.8 months), objective response rate (51.1% vs. 48.9%), and disease control rate (93.6% vs. 80.9%). The 3-week schedule was associated with a lower rate of toxicity-related treatment discontinuation (8.5% vs. 29.8%) and dose delays (6.4% vs. 23.4%). Conclusion: This study demonstrated the better antitumor activity and safety profile of a 3-week over 4-week nab-paclitaxel schedule in HER2-negative mBC, suggesting that a 3-week schedule may be a better treatment regimen in clinical practice (ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT04192331). The demand for flexibility and rechargeability in tandem with high energy density, reliability, and safety in energy‐storage devices to power wearable electronics has translated to significant advances in flexible solid‐state Zn–air batteries (FSZABs) technology. FSZABs using self‐supported bifunctional air electrodes are currently one of the most attractive alternatives to Li‐ion battery technology for next‐generation wearable electronics. Unlike the conventional powder‐based air electrodes, self‐supported bifunctional air electrodes offer higher electron‐transfer rate, larger specific surface area (and catalyst–reactant–product interfacial contact area), mechanical flexibility, and better operational robustness. To realize their potential nonetheless, self‐supported bifunctional air electrodes should have high and stable bifunctional catalytic activity, low cost, and environmental compatibility. This review first summarizes the three typical configurations and working principles of FSZABs. Then, significant development of self‐supported bifunctional air electrodes for FSZABs and efficient synthesis strategies are emphasized. The review concludes by providing perspectives on how to further improve the electrochemical performance of FSZABs and their suitability for next‐generation wearable electronic devices. The increasing demand for energy, coupled with the continuing deterioration of the environment, has heightened people's desire for renewable energy storage technologies, such as rechargeable zinc‐air batteries (ZABs). However, the race for the developing ZABs usually focuses on the search for new materials, with less emphasis on electrode engineering and recycling. Herein, for the first time, a simple, scalable, and inexpensive electrode engineering and recycling strategy for ZABs is proposed based on the magnetic binder engineering of the cobalt‐implanted electrocatalysts. By manipulating the electrode with magnets, the ZAB can cycle for 1200 h (7200 cycles), and its anti‐pulverization behavior is revealed through in situ observation of a visual cell with an air electrode in the charged state. Moreover, the cobalt‐implanted electrocatalysts can be recycled from the spent ZABs using a magnetic force‐separation method. Additionally, the ZAB with the recycled electrocatalyst exhibits considerably prolonged cycling stability for over 500 h (ΔE = 0.86 V). This study not only enables the design of magnetic force‐engineered electrodes with improved battery performance but also provides sustainable solutions for recycling electrocatalysts for many possible applications beyond ZABs. Ovulation disorder is the main cause of infertility in patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). By summarizing the literature, the author found that acupuncture showed certain curative effects and advantages in the treatment of PCOS infertility. In this paper, the effects of acupuncture on the ovulation disorder infertility in PCOS can be described from six different aspects. Acupuncture can adjust the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis to restore the new dynamic balance, correct hormone disorders, and improve ovarian function. Acupuncture can improve blood flow microcirculation, promote the absorption and dissipation of inflammation, improve chronic inflammation and reduce the inhibition of follicle development. Acupuncture can regulate the PI3K/Akt/m TOR autophagy signaling pathway, reduce the level of autophagy in ovarian granulosa cells, reduce follicular atresia and improve the polycystic changes of the ovary. Acupuncture can affect the Kisspeptin signaling pathway, reduce the expression level of Kisspeptin and promote the development and maturation of follicles. Acupuncture can balance and regulate the disorder of glucose and lipid metabolism in ovary, restore the internal environment of ovary, make cells proliferate and differentiate normally and facilitate the follicle development. Purpose: Most studies have supported the view that individuals prefer to reward the in-group and discriminate against the out-group in response to unfair offers in the Ultimatum Game. However, the current study advanced a different view, that is, the "black sheep effect", in which in-group members were punished more severely compared with out-group members. This study aimed to incorporate proposer identity and allocation motive as possible explanations for offer rejection.Methods: In the current study, the in-group and out-group identities were distinguished by their health condition, and the allocation motive was defined according to its benefit maximization. With a total of 89 healthy college student participants, a mixed design of 2 (proposer identity: out-group vs in-group) × 2 (allocation motive: selfish vs random) × 2 (offer type: unfair vs fair) was used in the Ultimatum Game. Event-related potential (ERP) technology was used, and ERPs were recorded while participants processed the task.Results: The behavioral result showed that the "black sheep effect" was found on the fair offer when a random allocation motive was used. Our ERP result suggested that feedback-related negativity (FRN) and P300 were modulated by proposer identity but not by allocation motive. However, the allocation motive interacted with proposer identity affecting FRN and P300 when the fair offer was proposed.Conclusion: These findings demonstrated that the "black sheep effect" was related to the experience of the out-group member, such as disadvantage or distress, but it was also modulated by allocation motive. Meanwhile, the out-group (depressed college students) captured more attention because they violated individual expectations, according to the P300. Vanadium dioxide (VO2) has been one of the most significant functional materials for its prominent property change during phase transition. Here the modulation in crystallinity and morphology of VO2 thin film is achieved by femtosecond laser direct writing. Both the local crystallization from an amorphous phase and self-organized periodical structures are generated due to the well-controlled femtosecond laser energy deposition and controlled accumulation. The dynamic evolution of either the volumetric or surface nano-/micro-structure depends strongly on the femtosecond laser conditions, revealed by changes of the Raman bands and reflectance spectra at visible wavelengths. Based on the distinguishable color display performance of differently processed regions, a four-color-level image has been drawn on a VO2 thin film. This work proposes an elaborate "annealing by light" and optical property modulation method for the VO2, paving the way to producing complex integrated multi-functional devices for color display and data storage. The efficiency of de novo synthesis of hyaluronic acid (HA) using Pasteurella multocida hyaluronate synthase (PmHAS) is limited by its low catalytic activity during the initial reaction steps when monosaccharides are the acceptor substrates. In this study, we identified and characterized a β-1,4-N-acetylglucosaminyl-transferase (EcGnT) derived from the O-antigen gene synthesis cluster of Escherichia coli O8:K48:H9. Recombinant β1,4 EcGnT effectively catalyzed the production of HA disaccharides when the glucuronic acid monosaccharide derivative 4-nitrophenyl-β-D-glucuronide (GlcA-pNP) was used as the acceptor. Compared with PmHAS, β1,4 EcGnT exhibited superior N-acetylglucosamine transfer activity (~ 12-fold) with GlcA-pNP as the acceptor, making it a better option for the initial step of de novo HA oligosaccharide synthesis. We then developed a biocatalytic approach for size-controlled HA oligosaccharide synthesis using the disaccharide produced by β1,4 EcGnT as a starting material, followed by stepwise PmHAS-catalyzed synthesis of longer oligosaccharides. Using this approach, we produced a series of HA chains of up to 10 sugar monomers. Overall, our study identifies a novel bacterial β1,4 N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase and establishes a more efficient process for HA oligosaccharide synthesis that enables size-controlled production of HA oligosaccharides. Simple Summary: The papaya mealybug is a highly polyphagous invasive pest that poses a quarantine threat to tropical and subtropical countries. Infested commodities in international trade should be subject to phytosanitary treatment, and irradiation treatment is recommended to replace methyl bromide fumigation. The irradiation treatments were conducted on the gravid females and 2-, 4-, and 6-day-old eggs of Paracoccus marginatus to develop a technical schedule for phytosanitary purpose. The results showed no significant difference among gravid females and 2-, 4-, and 6-day-old eggs after exposure to a range of X-ray radiation (15–105 Gy). Moreover, the minimum radiation dose for providing quarantine security was estimated and validated in the preliminary and confirmatory tests. In the gamma radiation confirmatory tests, no nymphs emerged when a total of 60,386 gravid females were exposed to a radiation dose range of 146.8 to 185.0 Gy. Following the standard-setting principles, the largest dose value in confirmatory tests is the minimum threshold for phytosanitary treatment. As a result, we strongly recommend a minimum dose of 185 Gy for the phytosanitary irradiation of papaya mealybug-infested commodities, and the treatment efficacy is not less than 99.9950% at the 95% confidence level. Paracoccus marginatus is a highly polyphagous invasive pest that poses a significant quarantine threat to tropical and subtropical countries. Infested commodities in international trade should undergo phytosanitary treatment, and irradiation is recommended as a viable alternative to replace methyl bromide fumigation. Dose-response tests were conducted on the 2-, 4-, and 6-day-old eggs and gravid females of P. marginatus using the X-ray radiation doses of 15–105 Gy with an interval of 15 Gy. Radiotolerance was compared using ANOVA, fiducial overlapping and lethal dose ratio (LDR) test, resulting in no significant difference among treatments, except for the overall mortality and LDR at LD90 (a dose causing 90% mortality at 95% confidence level). The estimated dose for LD99.9968 was 176.5–185.2 Gy, which was validated in the confirmatory tests. No nymphs emerged from a total of 60,386 gravid females exposed to a gamma radiation dose range of 146.8–185.0 Gy in the confirmatory tests. The largest dose in confirmatory tests should be the minimum threshold for phytosanitary treatment, consequently, a minimum dose of 185 Gy is recommended for the phytosanitary irradiation treatment of papaya mealybug-infested commodities, ensuring a treatment efficacy of ≥99.9950% at 95% confidence level. Inhibition of immunocyte infiltration and activation has been suggested to effectively ameliorate nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). Paired immunoglobulin-like receptor B (PirB) and its human ortholog receptor, leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor B (LILRB2), are immune-inhibitory receptors. However, their role in NASH pathogenesis is still unclear. Here, we demonstrate that PirB/LILRB2 regulates the migration of macrophages during NASH by binding with its ligand angiopoietin-like protein 8 (ANGPTL8). Hepatocyte-specific ANGPTL8 knockout reduces MDM infiltration and resolves lipid accumulation and fibrosis progression in the livers of NASH mice. In addition, PirB−/− bone marrow (BM) chimeras abrogate ANGPTL8-induced MDM migration to the liver. And yet, PirB ectodomain protein could ameliorate NASH by sequestering ANGPTL8. Furthermore, LILRB2-ANGPTL8 binding-promoted MDM migration and inflammatory activation are also observed in human peripheral blood monocytes. Taken together, our findings reveal the role of PirB/LILRB2 in NASH pathogenesis and identify PirB/LILRB2-ANGPTL8 signaling as a potential target for the management or treatment of NASH. The weekend effect, i.e., the concentration of air pollutants is different from weekends to weekdays, has been explored since the 1970 s. In most studies, the weekend effect is referred to the change of O 3 , i.e., lower emission of NO x on weekends leads to a higher concentration of O 3 . Determining whether it is true can provide insight into the strategy of air pollution controlling. In this study, we explore the weekly cycle of cities of China based on the weekly cycle anomaly (WCA), which is proposed in this paper. The advantage of using WCA is that we can avoid the influence of other change components such as the daily cycle and the seasonal cycle. The p values of the significant tests from all cities are analyzed for obtaining a whole picture of the weekly cycle of air pollution. The result shows that the concept of the weekend effect is not proper for cities in China, as many cities reach the valley phase of the emission on weekdays but not weekends. Thus, researches should not pre-assume that the weekend is the low emission scenario. We focus on the anomaly of O 3 on the peak and the valley of the emission scenario estimated by the NO 2 concentration. Through the analysis of the distribution of the p values of all cities, we show that almost all cities in China have weekly cycle of O 3 corresponding to the weekly cycle emission of NO x , i.e., O 3 of the peak time of NO 2 is less than valley time. The cities of the strong weekly cycle are located in four regions, i.e., the Beijing-Tianjing-Hebei region, the Shandong Peninsula Delta, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Pearl River Delta, and these regions are also the regions with relatively severe pollution levels. Introduction: Pyrotinib is a novel irreversible pan-HER tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI). However, real-world data of pyrotinib-containing therapy in human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive metastatic breast cancer (MBC) and developing brain metastases (BMs) are limited, and the genomic profile of this subpopulation is almost undefined. Methods and materials: Patients with BM of HER2-positive MBC (n = 35) treated with pyrotinib-containing therapy were enrolled in this analysis. Progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), and toxicity profiles were evaluated. Hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for disease progression were estimated using the Cox proportional hazards models. Targeted next-generation sequencing of 618 cancer-relevant genes was performed on plasma and primary breast tumors from patients with BM and without BM. Results: The median PFS time was 8.00 (95% CI, 5.98-10.017) months, and the median OS time was 23 (95% CI, 10.412-35.588) months. The ORR was 45.7%, and the DCR was 74.3%. In the Cox multivariate analysis, prior exposure to brain radiotherapy (HR = 3.268), received pyrotinib as third- or higher-line treatment (HR = 4.949), subtentorial brain metastasis (HR = 6.222), and both supratentorial and subtentorial brain metastases (HR = 5.863) were independently associated with increased risk of progression. The frequent grade 3-4 adverse event was increased direct bilirubin (14.3%), and two patients suffered from grade 3-4 diarrhea. In the exploratory genomic analysis, altered frequencies of FGFR3, CD276, CDC73, and EPHX1 were higher in the BM group. The consistency of mutated profiles of plasma and primary lesion in the BM group was significantly lower (30.4% vs. 65.5%; p = 0.0038). Conclusions: Pyrotinib-containing therapy shows favorable effectiveness and tolerable safety in patients with BM of HER2-positive MBC, particularly in a population that is brain radiotherapy-naïve, received pyrotinib as first- or second-line treatment, and developed supratentorial brain metastasis. Due to the high energy density, mature production technology, ease of storage and transportation, and the no carbon/sulfur nature of ammonia fuel, direct-ammonia solid oxide fuel cells (DA-SOFCs) have received rapidly increasing attention, showing distinct advantages over H2-fueled SOFCs and low-temperature fuel cells. However, DA-SOFCs with conventional Ni-based cermet anodes still suffer from several drawbacks, including serious sintering and inferior activity for ammonia decomposition, strongly limiting the large-scale applications. To tackle the above-mentioned issues, exsolved NiCo nanoparticles decorated double perovskite oxides are fabricated and employed as high-performance anodes for DA-SOFCs in this work. By optimizing the Ni doping amount in Sr2CoMo1−xNixO6−δ (x = 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3), the reduced Sr2CoMo0.8Ni0.2O6−δ (r-SCMN2) anode exhibits superb catalytic activity for ammonia cracking reaction and high anti-sintering capability. More specifically, the electrolyte-supported single cell with r-SCMN2 nanocomposite anode delivers superior power outputs and operational durability in ammonia fuel as compared with other r-SCMN anodes owing to the significantly promoted nanoparticle exsolution and stronger interaction between alloy nanoparticles and the support. The numerical approach is a vital means for evaluating the stability of flawed rocks. In this paper, the extended non‐ordinary state‐based peridynamics (NOSB‐PD) theory is employed to simulate the fracture process of rocks containing two pre‐existing flaws. Two stress criteria, including the maximum tensile stress criterion and the Mohr–Coulomb criterion, are implemented into the NOSB‐PD numerical method to respectively judge the tensile and shear failure of rock materials. The effects of inclination angles and ligament angles on the crack initiation and coalescence modes for flawed rocks are investigated based on the numerical results. The numerical results are in good agreement with the previous experimental results. The fracture mechanism of flawed rocks is revealed based on the evolutionary distribution characteristics of the maximum principal stress field and shear stress field obtained by the extended NOSB‐PD theory. Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD) in patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative metastatic breast cancer (MBC) heavily pretreated with anthracycline and taxanes. Methods: In this single-arm, phase II study, patients with HER2-negative MBC previously treated with anthracycline and taxanes as second- to fifth chemotherapy received PLD (Duomeisu®, generic doxorubicin hydrochloride liposome) 40 mg/m2 every 4 weeks until disease progression, unacceptable toxicity, or completion of six cycles. Primary endpoint was progression-free survival (PFS). Secondary endpoints included overall survival (OS), objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), clinical benefit rate (CBR), and safety. Results: Of 44 enrolled patients (median age, 53.5 years; range, 34–69), 41 and 36 were evaluable for safety and efficacy, respectively. In total, 59.1% (26/44) of patients had ≥ 3 metastatic sites, 86.4% (38/44) had visceral disease, and 63.6% (28/44) had liver metastases. Median PFS was 3.7 months (95% confidence interval [CI] 3.3–4.1) and median OS was 15.0 months (95% CI 12.1–17.9). ORR, DCR, and CBR were 16.7%, 63.9%, and 36.1%, respectively. The most common adverse events (AEs) were leukopenia (53.7%), fatigue (46.3%), and neutropenia (41.5%), with no grade 4/5 AEs. The most common grade 3 AEs were neutropenia (7.3%) and fatigue (4.9%). Patients experienced palmar-plantar-erythrodysesthesia (24.4%, 2.4% grade 3), stomatitis (19.5%, 7.3% grade 2), and alopecia (7.3%). One patient displayed a left ventricular ejection fraction decline of 11.4% from baseline after five cycles of PLD therapy. Conclusion: PLD (Duomeisu®) 40 mg/m2 every 4 weeks was effective and well-tolerated in patients with HER2-negative MBC heavily pretreated with anthracycline and taxanes, revealing a potentially viable treatment option for this population. Motivation T cell heterogeneity presents a challenge for accurate cell identification, understanding their inherent plasticity, and characterizing their critical role in adaptive immunity. Immunologists have traditionally employed techniques such as flow cytometry to identify T cell subtypes based on a well-established set of surface protein markers. With the advent of single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq), researchers can now investigate the gene expression profiles of these surface proteins at the single-cell level. The insights gleaned from these profiles offer valuable clues and a deeper understanding of cell identity. However, CD45RA, the isoform of CD45 which distinguishes between naive/central memory T cells and effector memory/effector memory cells re-expressing CD45RA T cells, cannot be well profiled by scRNA-seq due to the difficulty in mapping short reads to genes. Results In order to facilitate cell-type annotation in T cell scRNA-seq analysis, we employed machine learning and trained a CD 45 RA + / − classifier on single-cell mRNA count data annotated with known CD45RA antibody levels provided by cellular indexing of transcriptomes and epitopes sequencing data. Among all the algorithms we tested, the trained support vector machine with a radial basis function kernel with optimized hyperparameters achieved a 99.96% accuracy on an unseen dataset. The multilayer perceptron classifier, the second most predictive method overall, also achieved a decent accuracy of 99.74%. Our simple yet robust machine learning approach provides a valid inference on the CD45RA level, assisting the cell identity annotation and further exploring the heterogeneity within human T cells. Based on the overall performance, we chose the support vector machine with a radial basis function kernel as the model implemented in our Python package scCD45RA. Electrochemical carbon dioxide (CO2) reduction (ECR) is a promising technology to produce valuable fuels and feedstocks from CO2. Despite large efforts to develop ECR catalysts, the investigation of the catalytic performance and electrochemical behavior of complex metal oxides, especially perovskite oxides, is rarely reported. Here, the inorganic perovskite oxide Ag‐doped (La0.8Sr0.2)0.95Ag0.05MnO3–δ (LSA0.05M) is reported as an efficient electrocatalyst for ECR to CO for the first time, which exhibits a Faradaic efficiency (FE) of 84.3%, a remarkable mass activity of 75 A g−1 (normalized to the mass of Ag), and stability of 130 h at a moderate overpotential of 0.79 V. The LSA0.05M catalyst experiences structure reconstruction during ECR, creating the in operando‐formed interface between the perovskite and the evolved Ag phase. The evolved Ag is uniformly distributed with a small particle size on the perovskite surface. Theoretical calculations indicate the reconstruction of LSA0.05M during ECR and reveal that the perovskite–Ag interface provides adsorption sites for CO2 and accelerates the desorption of the *CO intermediate to enhance ECR. This study presents a novel high‐performance perovskite catalyst for ECR and may inspire the future design of electrocatalysts via the in operando formation of metal–metal oxide interfaces. Recognizing facial expressions is crucial for adaptive social interaction. Prior empirical research on facial expression processing has primarily focused on isolated faces; however, facial expressions appear embedded in surrounding scenes in everyday life. In this study, we attempted to demonstrate how the online car‐hailing scene affects the processing of facial expression. This study examined the processing of drivers' facial expressions in scenes by recording event‐related potentials, in which neutral or happy faces embedded in online car‐hailing orders were constructed (with type of vehicle, driver rating, driver surname, and level of reputation controlled). A total of 35 female volunteers participated in this experiment and were asked to judge which facial expressions that emerged in scenes of online car‐hailing were more trustworthy. The results revealed an interaction between facial expression scenes, brain areas, and electrode sites in the late positive potential, which indicated that happy faces elicited larger amplitudes than did neutral ones in the parietal areas and that scenes with happy facial expressions had shorter latencies than did those with neutral ones. As expected, the late positive potential evoked by happy facial expressions in a scene was larger than that evoked by neutral ones, which reflected motivated attention and motivational response processes. Background: The present study aimed to investigate the function of miR‐3529‐3p in lung adenocarcinoma and MnO2‐SiO2‐APTES (MSA) as a promising multifunctional delivery agent for lung adenocarcinoma therapy. Methods: Expression levels of miR‐3529‐3p were evaluated in lung carcinoma cells and tissues by qRT‐PCR. The effects of miR‐3529‐3p on apoptosis, proliferation, metastasis and neovascularization were assessed by CCK‐8, FACS, transwell and wound healing assays, tube formation and xenografts experiments. Luciferase reporter assays, western blot, qRT‐PCR and mitochondrial complex assay were used to determine the targeting relationship between miR‐3529‐3p and hypoxia‐inducible gene domain family member 1A (HIGD1A). MSA was fabricated using MnO2 nanoflowers, and its heating curves, temperature curves, IC50, and delivery efficiency were examined. The hypoxia and reactive oxygen species (ROS) production was investigated by nitro reductase probing, DCFH‐DA staining and FACS. Results: MiR‐3529‐3p expression was reduced in lung carcinoma tissues and cells. Transfection of miR‐3529‐3p could promote apoptosis and suppress cell proliferation, migration and angiogenesis. As a target of miR‐3529‐3p, HIGD1A expression was downregulated, through which miR‐3529‐3p could disrupt the activities of complexes III and IV of the respiratory chain. The multifunctional nanoparticle MSA could not only efficiently deliver miR‐3529‐3p into cells, but also enhance the antitumor function of miR‐3529‐3p. The underlying mechanism may be that MSA alleviates hypoxia and has synergistic effects in cellular ROS promotion with miR‐3529‐3p. Conclusions: Our results establish the antioncogenic role of miR‐3529‐3p, and demonstrate that miR‐3529‐3p delivered by MSA has enhanced tumor suppressive effects, probably through elevating ROS production and thermogenesis. The effects of the moon on mental activities remain contentious. Few studies have investigated associations between lunar phases and different types of bipolar disorder (BD) episodes. In the current study, 7,452 patients with BD from three hospitals were enrolled. Patients were divided into two groups on the basis of episode types, and the effects of lunar phase were examined for each type. The cosinor analysis revealed moon-related rhythmicity in admissions for BD in a period of 14.75 days. There were fewer admissions around the new moon and the full moon. There was no significant difference between different groups in acrophase. There was possibly a temporal lag between the onset of BD and hospitalization. Thus, it is too early to draw firm conclusions about the impact of lunar phases on BD. Sleep might be a middle way from moon effect to admissions of BD. As human actions can be characterized by the trajectories of skeleton joints, skeleton-based action recognition techniques have gained increasing attention in the field of intelligent recognition and behavior analysis. With the emergence of large datasets, graph convolutional network (GCN) approaches have been widely applied for skeleton-based action recognition and have achieved remarkable performances. In this paper, a novel GCN-based approach is proposed by introducing a convolutional block attention module (CBAM)-based graph attention block to compute the semantic correlations between any two vertices. By considering semantic correlations, our model can effectively identify the most discriminative vertex connections associated with specific actions, even when the two vertices are physically unconnected.
