Standard approximations for the exchange–correlation functional in Kohn–Sham density functional theory (KS-DFT) typically lead to unacceptably large errors when applied to strongly correlated electronic systems. Partition-DFT (PDFT) is a formally exact reformulation of KS-DFT in which the ground-state density and energy of a system are obtained through self-consistent calculations on isolated fragments, with a partition energy representing inter-fragment interactions. Here, we show how typical errors of the local density approximation (LDA) in KS-DFT can be largely suppressed through a simple approximation, the multi-fragment overlap approximation (MFOA), for the partition energy in PDFT. Our method is illustrated on simple models of one-dimensional strongly correlated linear hydrogen chains. The MFOA, when used in combination with the LDA for the fragments, improves LDA dissociation curves of hydrogen chains and produces results that are comparable to those of spin-unrestricted LDA, but without breaking the spin symmetry. MFOA also induces a correction to the LDA electron density that partially captures the correct density dimerization in strongly correlated hydrogen chains. Moreover, with an additional correction to the partition energy that is specific to the one-dimensional LDA, the approximation is shown to produce dissociation energies in quantitative agreement with calculations based on the density matrix renormalization group method. Aims: This study aimed to analyse the global prevalence and disability trends of heart failure (HF) from 1990 to 2019, considering both sexes and country‐specific economic strata. Methods: This study conducted a secondary analysis employing data from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) study. The analysis is stratified by sex and Socio‐demographic Index (SDI) levels. Through age‐period‐cohort and Joinpoint regression analyses, we investigated the temporal trends in HF prevalence and years lived with disability (YLDs) during this period. Results: Between 1990 and 2019, the global prevalence of HF surged by 106.3% (95% uncertainty interval: 99.3% to 114.3%), reaching 56.2 million cases in 2019. While all‐age prevalence and YLDs increased over the 30 year span, age‐standardized rates decreased by 2019. Countries with higher SDI experienced a more pronounced percentage decrease compared with those with lower SDI. Longitudinal analysis revealed an overall improvement in both prevalence and YLDs for HF, albeit with notable disparities between SDI quintiles and sexes. Ischaemic heart disease and hypertensive heart disease emerged as the most rapidly increasing and primarily contributing causes of HF, albeit with variations observed across different countries. The average annual percentage change for prevalence and YLDs over the period was −0.26% and −0.25%, respectively. Conclusions: This study offers valuable insights into the global burden of HF, considering factors such as population aging, regional disparities, sex differences and aetiological variations. The findings hold significant implications for healthcare planning and resource allocation. Hypoxia occurs in 90% of solid tumors and is associated with metastasis and mortality. Breast cancer cells that experience intratumoral hypoxia are 5x more likely to develop lung metastasis in animal models. Using spatial transcriptomics, we determine that hypoxic cells localized in more oxygenated tumor regions (termed 'post-hypoxic') retain expression of hypoxia-inducible and NF-kB-regulated genes, even in the oxygen-rich bloodstream. This cellular response is reproduced in vitro under chronic hypoxic conditions followed by reoxygenation. A subset of genes remains increased in reoxygenated cells. MUC1/MUC1-C is upregulated by both HIF-1α and NF-kB-p65 during chronic hypoxia. Abrogating MUC1 decreases the expression of superoxide dismutase enzymes, causing reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and cell death. A hypoxia-dependent genetic deletion of MUC1, or MUC1-C inhibition by GO-203, increases ROS levels in circulating tumor cells (CTCs), reducing the extent of metastasis. High MUC1 expression in tumor biopsies is associated with recurrence, and MUC1+ CTCs have lower ROS levels than MUC1- CTCs in patient-derived xenograft models. This study demonstrates that therapeutically targeting MUC1-C reduces hypoxia-driven metastasis. Hypoxia is associated with metastasis and mortality. Reliable and ultra-fast DNA and RNA sequencing have been achieved with the emergence of high-throughput sequencing technology. When combining the results of DNA and RNA sequencing for tumor cells of cancer patients, neoantigens that potentially stimulate the immune response of either CD4+ or CD8+ T cells can be identified. However, due to the abundance of somatic mutations and the high polymorphic nature of human leukocyte antigen (HLA) it is challenging to accurately predict the neoantigens. Moreover, comparing to HLA-I presented peptides, the HLA-II presented peptides are more variable in length, making the prediction of HLA-II loaded neoantigens even harder. A number of computational approaches have been proposed to address this issue but none of them considers the DNA origin of the neoantigens from the perspective of 3D genome. Here we investigate the DNA origins of the immune-positive and non-negative HLA-II neoantigens in the context of 3D genome and discovered that the chromatin 3D architecture plays an important role in more effective HLA-II neoantigen prediction. We believe that the 3D genome information will help to increase the precision of HLA-II neoantigen discovery and eventually benefit precision and personalized medicine in cancer immunotherapy. Porous frameworks with controlled pore structure and tunable aperture are greatly demanded. However, precise synthesis of this kind of materials is a formidable challenge. Herein, we report the fabrication of two‐dimensional (2D) supramolecular polymer frameworks using a precisely synthesized rod‐like helical polyisocyanide as link. Four three‐arm star‐shaped polyisocyanides with the degree of the polymerization of 10, 20, 30 and 40, and having 2‐ureido‐4[1H]‐pyrimidinone (UPy) terminals were synthesized. 2D‐Crystalline polymer frameworks with apertures of 5.3, 10.1, 13.9, and 19.1 nm were respectively obtained through intermolecular hydrogen bonding interaction between the terminal Upy units. The pore aperture is dependent on the length of polyisocyanide backbone. Thus, well‐defined supramolecular polymer frameworks with controlled and uniform hexagonal pores were obtained, as proved by small‐angle X‐ray scattering (synchrotron radiation facility), atomic force microscopy, and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller analyses. The frameworks with uniform large pore aperture were used to purify nanomaterials and immobilize biomacromolecules. For instance, the membranes of the polymer frameworks could size‐fractionation of silver nanoparticles into uniform nanoparticles with very low dispersity. Background: Hereditary angioedema (HAE) is a rare autosomal dominant genetic disease characterized by recurrent edema and a potentially fatal risk. Despite its severity, there is a notable lack of effective methods for predicting and preventing HAE attacks. This study aims to thoroughly investigate the underlying pathological mechanisms of HAE and identify potential biomarkers that could aid in its prediction and prevention. Results: In our investigation, we have discovered a novel pathogenic variant of the SERPING1 gene, specifically c.708T > G, in a Han family affected by HAE. Our observations indicate that this variant leads to an increase in the accumulation of C1-INH within the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), resulting in the upregulation of GRP75 protein expression. This cascade of events resulted in Ca2+ overload, disruption of mitochondrial structure and function, and eventually triggered apoptosis. Using siRNA to knock down GRP75 mitigates cellular calcium overload and mitochondrial damage induced by the SERPING1 mutation. Conclusion: Based on our findings, we propose that the detection of intracellular Ca2+ concentration could serve as a valuable biomarker for predicting acute attacks of HAE in patients. Objective: Auditory hallucinations are the most frequently occurring psychotic symptom in schizophrenia. Continuous theta burst stimulation (cTBS) has been used as an adjuvant treatment for auditory hallucinations. This meta-analysis focused on randomized controlled clinical trials (RCTs) to assess the efficacy of adjuvant cTBS on auditory hallucinations in schizophrenia. Methods: We performed a comprehensive search of four international databases from their inception to January 14, 2024, to identify relevant RCTs that assessed the effects of adjuvant cTBS on auditory hallucinations. The key words included "auditory hallucinations", "continuous theta burst stimulation" and "transcranial magnetic stimulation". Inclusion criteria included patients with auditory hallucinations in schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder. The Revised Cochrane risk-of-bias tool for randomized trials (RoB1) were used to evaluate the risk of bias and the Review Manager Software Version 5.4 was employed to pool the data. Results: A total of 4 RCTs involving 151 patients with auditory hallucinations were included in the analysis. The Cochrane risk of bias of these studies presented "low risk" in all items. Preliminary analysis showed no significant advantage of adjuvant cTBS over sham stimulation in reducing hallucinations [4 RCTs, n = 151; SMD: - 0.45 (95%CI: -1.01, 0.12), P = 0.13; I2 = 61%]. Subgroup analysis revealed that patients treated with adjuvant cTBS for more than 10 stimulation sessions and total number of pulses more than 6000 [3 RCTs, n = 87; SMD: -4.43 (95%CI: -8.22, - 0.63), P=0.02; I2 = 47%] had a statistically significant improvement in hallucination symptoms. Moreover, the rates of adverse events and discontinuation did not show any significant difference between the cTBS and sham group. Conclusions: Although preliminary analysis did not revealed a significant advantage of adjuvant cTBS over sham stimulation, subgroup analysis showed that specific parameters of cTBS appear to be effective in the treatment of auditory hallucinations in schizophrenia. The actinomycete genus Rhodococcus is known for its diverse biosynthetic enzymes, with potential in pollutant degradation, chemical biocatalysis, and natural product exploration. Comparative genomics have analyzed the distribution patterns of non-ribosomal peptide synthetases (NRPSs) in Rhodococcus. The diversity and specificity of its secondary metabolism offer valuable insights for exploring natural products, yet remain understudied. In the present study, we analyzed the distribution patterns of biosynthetic gene clusters (BGCs) in the most comprehensive Rhodococcus genome data to date. The results show that 86.5% of the gene cluster families (GCFs) are only distributed in a specific phylogenomic-clade of Rhodococcus, with the most predominant types of gene clusters being NRPS and ribosomally synthesized and post-translationally modified peptides (RiPPs). In-depth mining of RiPP gene clusters revealed that Rhodococcus encodes many clade-specific novel RiPPs, with thirteen core peptides showing antibacterial potential. High-throughput elicitor screening (HiTES) and non-targeted metabolomics revealed that a marine-derived Rhodococcus strain produces a large number of new aurachin-like compounds when exposed to specific elicitors. The present study highlights the diversity and specificity of secondary biosynthetic potential in Rhodococcus, and provides valuable information for the targeted exploration of novel natural products from Rhodococcus, especially for phylogenomic-clade-specific metabolites. Background: The offender-victim spatial relationship is crucial in reconstructing a crime scene. The study aims to evaluate the spatial relationship of performing slashing attacks on a dummy using a Chinese kitchen knife, and thus to establish a scientific basis for crime scene reconstruction. Methods: Twenty-four participants (12 males and 12 females) slashed a dummy's neck or chest using a kitchen knife, and the kinematic data were obtained using a three-dimensional motion capture system. The spatial relationships among offender, knife, and victim during slashing attacks were analyzed. Results: Slashing distance and occupancy area are significantly influenced by gender (all P < 0.05), with males having higher values than females. Body parts significantly influence bevel angle, offender and victim azimuth angles, slashing distance, relative slashing distance, and occupancy area (all P < 0.01), with slashing the chest resulting in larger values than slashing the neck. Conclusion: Gender and body position significantly influence the spatial relationships of slashing action. Our data indicate that males stand farther away and occupy a larger area during slashing attacks. When the chest is slashed, the wound orientation is more diagonal, the offender's standing position and slashing distance are farther, and the occupancy area is larger compared to the neck. Carbon-supported platinum-lanthanum (Pt-Ln) intermetallic compound (IMC) nanoparticles with high activity and robust stability have been demonstrated as promising cathode catalysts for proton-exchange membrane fuel cells. However, the preparation of Pt-Ln IMC catalysts needs high-temperature annealing treatment that inevitably causes nanoparticle sintering, resulting in significant reduction of the electrochemical surface area and mass-based activity. Here, we prepare small-sized M-doped Pt5Ce (M = Ga, Cd, and Sb) IMCs catalysts via a low-melting-point metal doping strategy. We speculate that the doping of low-melting-point metals can facilitate the generation of vacancies in the crystal lattice through thermal activation and thus reduce the kinetic barriers for the formation of intermetallic Pt5Ce catalysts. The prepared Ga-doped Pt5Ce catalyst exhibits a higher electrochemical active surface area (81 m2·gPt−1) and a larger mass activity (0.45 A·mgPt−1 at 0.9 V) over the undoped Pt5Ce and commercial Pt/C catalysts. In the membrane electrode assembly test, the Ga-doped Pt5Ce cathode delivers a power density of 0.98 W·cm−2 at 0.67 V, along with a voltage loss of only 27 mV at 0.8 A·cm−2 at the end of accelerated stability test. This paper introduces a novel approach, the mass-conservative reduced-order characteristic finite element (MCROCFE) method, designed for optimal control problem governed by convection-diffusion equation. The study delves into scenarios where the original state equation exhibits mass-conservation, yet the velocity field is non-divergence-free. The key points of emphasis are: (1) The method effectively addresses convection-dominated diffusion systems through the application of the characteristic technique; (2) Its efficiency is underscored by leveraging the proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) technique, significantly reducing the scale of solving algebraic equation systems; (3) The proposed scheme, based on the mass-conservative characteristic finite element (MCCFE) method framework and the classical POD technique with a slight adjustment to reduce-order space, maintains mass-conservation for the state variable. A priori error estimates are derived for the mass-conservative reduced-order scheme. High myopia (HM) is the primary cause of blindness, with the microstructural organization and composition of collagenous fibers in the cornea and sclera playing a crucial role in the biomechanical behavior of these tissues. In a previously reported myopic linkage region, MYP5 (17q21–22), a potential candidate gene, LRRC46 (c.C235T, p.Q79X), was identified in a large Han Chinese pedigree. LRRC46 is expressed in various eye tissues in humans and mice, including the retina, cornea, and sclera. In subsequent cell experiments, the mutation (c.C235T) decreased the expression of LRRC46 protein in human corneal epithelial cells (HCE-T). Further investigation revealed that Lrrc46−/− mice (KO) exhibited a classical myopia phenotype. The thickness of the cornea and sclera in KO mice became thinner and more pronounced with age, the activity of limbal stem cells decreased, and microstructural changes were observed in the fibroblasts of the sclera and cornea. We performed RNA-seq on scleral and corneal tissues of KO and normal control wild-type (WT) mice, which indicated a significant downregulation of the collagen synthesis-related pathway (extracellular matrix, ECM) in KO mice. Subsequent in vitro studies further indicated that LRRC46, a member of the important LRR protein family, primarily affected the formation of collagens. This study suggested that LRRC46 is a novel candidate gene for HM, influencing collagen protein VIII (Col8a1) formation in the eye and gradually altering the biomechanical structure of the cornea and sclera, thereby promoting the occurrence and development of HM. The environmental problem of "white pollution" caused by traditional non-degradable plastics is becoming increasingly serious. Thus, the development of degradable and recyclable plastics attracts lots of attention from researchers. However, the currently reported plastics have limitations in eliminating pollution in the sea and achieving the balance between ductility and strength. Herein, a recyclable, degradable and water-soluble plastic with robust toughness is prepared based on the supramolecular covalent adaptive network, which is synthesized through crosslinking copolymer and poly(vinyl alcohol) PVA chains with dynamic boronic ester/hydrogen bonds and doping the lignin component via forming hydrogen bonds between polymer chains. Such a plastic exhibits excellent mechanical properties, showing a toughness of up to 148 MJ m−3 due to the combination of supramolecular and covalent adaptive networks. Significantly, the water dissolution rates and mechanical properties of plastics can be tuned over a wide range by adjusting the molar masses and hydrolysis degrees of PVA and changing the water contents. In addition, the plastic displays superior functions, such as antimicrobial, anti-UV and antioxidant properties, making it promising for applications in plenty of fields. This paper details the fabrication of GaN-based microdisks with a single porous n-GaN layer positioned beneath the multiple quantum wells region on a modified green light-emitting diode epiwafer. Simulations of the longitudinal light field distribution reveal effective confinement of the light field within the multiple quantum wells region due to the presence of the single porous layer. The porous layer also demonstrates sufficient conductivity as determined through calculations and serves as an effective method for thermal dispersion. Under optical pumping, all microdisks exhibit clear whispering gallery mode (WGM) lasing at room temperature, with the lowest threshold of 13.50 μJ/cm2 achieved in a 2-μm-diameter microdisk. These findings suggest that integrating the single porous layer into GaN microdisks is a highly promising approach for achieving high-efficiency WGM micro-laser diodes with effective electrical injection and heat dispersion. Self-powered broadband photodetectors (PDs) are crucial in various daily applications. However, traditional Si-based broadband PDs have limited responses in the infrared and ultraviolet spectra, hindering further development. To address this challenge, this work proposes self-powered all-quantum dot (QD) based broadband PDs. These PDs are integrated with SnO2 QDs/PbS-I QDs/PbS-EDT QDs, enabling broadband photodetection from 300 to 1000 nm. By adjusting the thickness of the SnO2 QD layer, these PDs exhibit high self-powered responsivity (401.8 mA W−1), high detectivity (4.8 × 1012 Jones), high EQE (62%), fast response speed (rise time 11.4 μs; decay time 14.7 ms) and ultrahigh on/off ratio (1.4 × 104). These PDs can be used for long-distance color recognition imaging and human heartbeat monitoring. With advancements in sustainable urban development, research on urban functional areas has garnered significant attention. In recent years, Point-of-Interest, with their large volume of information and ease of acquisition, have been widely applied in research on urban functional domains. However, scholars currently focus on the identification of urban functional areas, usually relying on data from a single period, whereas research on the prediction of functional areas has not yet been well validated. Therefore, in this study, we propose a new method based on several years of POI data to predict urban functional areas. Taking Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, as an example, we first identified the functional area distribution of the old city of Nanjing over several years using POI data and then designed multiple sets of experiments to explore the CA–Markov model's ability to predict functional areas from various aspects, including model overall accuracy, robustness, and comparison analysis between predictions and actual situations. The results show that (1) for mixed or single functional areas, the model's predictions over several years tend to be stable, and the accuracy of the predictions over many years indicates the robustness of the model in predicting urban functional areas. (2) For mixed functional areas in cities, model predictions largely rely on the distribution of the base years used for prediction, leading to inaccurate results; thus, it is still not applicable for simulating and predicting mixed functional areas. (3) For single functional areas in cities or primary functions within an area, the model's predicted degree of change was close to the actual degree of change, making the results referable. The variability of CO2 hydrogenation reaction demands new potential strategies to regulate the fine structure of the catalysts for optimizing the reaction pathways. Herein, we report a dual‐site strategy to boost the catalytic efficiency of CO2‐to‐methanol conversion. A new descriptor, τ, was initially established for screening the promising candidates with low‐temperature activation capability of CO2, and sequentially a high‐performance catalyst was fabricated centred with oxophilic Mo single atoms, who was further decorated with Pt nanoparticles. In CO2 hydrogenation, the obtained dual‐site catalysts possess a remarkably‐improved methanol generation rate (0.27 mmol gcat.−1 h−1). For comparison, the singe‐site Mo and Pt‐based catalysts can only produce ethanol and formate acid at a relatively low reaction rate (0.11 mmol gcat.−1 h−1 for ethanol and 0.034 mmol gcat.−1 h−1 for formate acid), respectively. Mechanism studies indicate that the introduction of Pt species could create an active hydrogen‐rich environment, leading to the alterations of the adsorption configuration and conversion pathways of the *OCH2 intermediates on Mo sites. Using multi-source observation data including automatic stations, radar, satellite, new detection equipment, and the Fifth Generation European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts Reanalysis (ERA-5) data, along with the Hybrid Single-Particle Lagrangian Integrated Trajectory (HYSPLIT) platform, an analysis was conducted on a rainstorm process that occurred in Nanjing on 15 June 2020, with the aim of providing reference for future urban flood control planning and heavy rainfall forecasting and early warning. The results showed that this rainstorm process was generated under the background of an eastward-moving northeast cold vortex and a southward retreat of the Western Pacific Subtropical High. Intense precipitation occurred near the region of large top brightness temperature (TBB) gradient values or the center of low TBB values on the northern side of the convective cloud cluster. During the heavy precipitation period, the differential propagation phase shift rate (KDP), differential reflectivity factor (ZDR), and zero-lag correlation coefficient (ρHV) detected by the S-band dual-polarization radar all increased significantly. The vertical structure of the wind field detected by the wind profile radar provided a good indication of changes in precipitation intensity, showing a strong correspondence between the timing of maximum precipitation and the intrusion of upper-level cold air. The abrupt increase in the integrated liquid water content observed by the microwave radiometer can serve as an important indicator of the onset of stronger precipitation. During the Meiyu season in Nanjing, convective precipitation was mainly composed of small to medium raindrops with diameters less than 3 mm, with falling velocities of raindrops mainly clustering between 2 and 6 m·s−1. The rainstorm process featured four water vapor transport channels: the mid-latitude westerly channel, the Indian Ocean channel, the South China Sea channel, and the Pacific Ocean channel. During heavy rainfall, the Pacific Ocean water vapor channel was the main channel at the middle and lower levels, while the South China Sea water vapor channel was the main channel at the upper level, both accounting for a trajectory proportion of 34.2%. In this work, we propose a new numerical approximation method for the simulation of two-phase system in complex geometries. In this method, a novel formulation of the free energy is established according to the ternary phase field model and the model is derived by minimizing the total free energy of the system. By this method, a fixed phase field variable is employed to represent the profile of complex geometries and the bulk region of the two-phase system is extended to a regular domain that includes this phase. The contact angle boundary condition is imposed into the coefficient in the bulk of the model, which is determined implicitly by the surface tension coefficient of the system. We develop an unconditionally energy stable numerical scheme for the new phase field model. Moreover, we couple the phase field model with the incompressible Navier–Stokes equations to simulate the dynamic behavior of two-phase flows in complex geometries. Some numerical experiments including the two-phase system on a flat or curved substrate, two-phase flows over an undulated channel, and bubbles in porous media are given to show the capacity of the new method. The electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR) holds significant promise in advancing carbon neutrality. Developing catalysts for the electrochemical CO2RR to multi-carbon (C2+) products (e.g., C2H4) under industrial-level current density is urgently needed and pivotal. Herein, we report the Cu2O nanoparticles doped with interstitial carbon atoms (denoted as C-Cu2O NPs) for the conversion of CO2 to C2+ products. The interstitial carbon promotes the C-Cu2O NPs to possess abundant unsaturated Cu–O bonds, leading to a high-density Cuδ+ (0 < δ <1) species. The obtained C-Cu2O NPs exhibited significant Faradic efficiency (FE) of C2+ products approaching 76.9% and a partial current density reaching 615.2 mA·cm−2 under an industrial-level current density of 800 mA·cm−2. Furthermore, the efficient electrosynthesis of C2H4 achieved an FE of 57.4% with a partial current density of 459.2 mA·cm−2. In situ electrochemical attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and in situ Raman spectroscopy analyses revealed that C-Cu2O NPs stabilized the intermediate *CO and facilitated C–C coupling, leading to increased selectivity towards C2+ products. Hair cell (HC) damage is a leading cause of sensorineural hearing loss, and in mammals supporting cells (SCs) are unable to divide and regenerate HCs after birth spontaneously. Procollagen C‐endopeptidase enhancer 2 (Pcolce2), which encodes a glycoprotein that acts as a functional procollagen C protease enhancer, was screened as a candidate regulator of SC plasticity in our previous study. In the current study, we used adeno‐associated virus (AAV)‐ie (a newly developed adeno‐associated virus that targets SCs) to overexpress Pcolce2 in SCs. AAV‐Pcolce2 facilitated SC re‐entry into the cell cycle both in cultured cochlear organoids and in the postnatal cochlea. In the neomycin‐damaged model, regenerated HCs were detected after overexpression of Pcolce2, and these were derived from SCs that had re‐entered the cell cycle. The activities of the traffic department mainly contribute to the generation of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The swift expansion of the traffic department results in a significant increase in global pollution levels, adversely affecting human health. To address GHG emissions and propose impactful solutions for reducing fuel consumption in vehicles, environmental considerations are integrated with the core principles of the vehicle routing problem. This integration gives rise to the pollution-routing problem (PRP), which aims to optimize routing decisions with a focus on minimizing environmental impact. At the same time, the retail distribution system explores the use of an omni-channel approach as a transportation mode adopted in this study. The objectives of this research include minimizing total travel costs and fuel consumption while aiming to reduce GHG emissions, promoting environmental sustainability, and enhancing the convenience of shopping and pickup for customers through the integration of online and offline modes. This problem is NP-hard; therefore, the Non-dominated Sorting Simplified Swarm Optimization (NSSO) algorithm is employed. NSSO combines the non-dominated technique of Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II (NSGA-II) with the update mechanism of Simplified Swarm Optimization to obtain a set of Pareto-optimal solutions. Moreover, the NSSO, a multi-objective evolutionary algorithm, is adopted to address multi-objective problems. The PRP benchmark dataset is utilized, and the results are compared with two other multi-objective evolutionary algorithms: NSGA-II and Non-dominated Sorting Particle Swarm Optimization (NSPSO). The findings of the study confirm that NSSO exhibits feasibility, provides good solutions, and achieves faster convergence compared with the other two algorithms, NSGA-II and NSPSO. Large temperature gradient will produce high residual stress during laser powder bed fusion (LPBF). In metal matrix composites (MMCs), the thermal-induced stress distributes complexly. It is indispensable to study the interfacial stress of MMCs during LPBF process. In this study, a multi-phase finite element model was established to reveal the temperature and stress distributions of TiB2/Al-Si composites fabricated by LPBF. Influences of particulate geometries on the residual stress were also analyzed in the model. The numerical results indicate that the residual stress in the composites was induced by high temperature gradient and coefficient of thermal expansion mismatch simultaneously. TiB2 reinforcing particles suffer large compressive stress perpendicular to the interface. In the matrix, the stress component at the interface is negative and increases rapidly with distance from the particle increases. The interfacial compressive stress lessens the mean tension stress in the nearby regions of the matrix. Maximum von Mises stress is generated at the interface in the matrix, which may cause defects and cracks. High interfacial stress was generated in the vicinity of the vertex of cubic particles and the internal stress large in ellipsoidal particles, indicating that particles with fewer edges and smaller slenderness ratio possess greater thermal shock resistance. The identification and enumeration of peach seedling fruits are pivotal in the realm of precision agriculture, greatly influencing both yield estimation and agronomic practices. This study introduces an innovative, lightweight YOLOv8 model for the automatic detection and quantification of peach seedling fruits, designated as YOLO-Peach, to bolster the scientific rigor and operational efficiency of orchard management. Traditional identification methods, which are labor-intensive and error-prone, have been superseded by this advancement. A comprehensive dataset was meticulously curated, capturing the rich characteristics and diversity of peach seedling fruits through high-resolution imagery at various times and locations, followed by meticulous preprocessing to ensure data quality. The YOLOv8s model underwent a series of lightweight optimizations, including the integration of MobileNetV3 as its backbone, the p2BiFPN architecture, spatial and channel reconstruction convolution, and coordinate attention mechanism, all of which have significantly bolstered the model's capability to detect small targets with precision. The YOLO-Peach model excels in detection accuracy, evidenced by a precision and recall of 0.979, along with an mAP50 of 0.993 and an mAP50-95 of 0.867, indicating its superior capability for peach sapling identification with efficient computational performance. The findings underscore the model's efficacy and practicality in the context of peach seedling fruit recognition. Ablation studies have shed light on the indispensable role of each component, with MobileNetV3 streamlining the model's complexity and computational load, while the p2BiFPN architecture, ScConv convolutions, and coordinate attention mechanism have collectively enhanced the model's feature extraction and detection precision for minute targets. The high heterogeneity of breast cancer (BC) caused by pathogenic gene mutations poses a challenge to immunotherapy, but the underlying mechanism remains unknown. The difference in the infiltration of M1 macrophages induced by TP53 mutations has a significant impact on BC immunotherapy. The aim of this study was to develop a TP53-related M1 macrophage infiltration molecular typing risk signature in BC and evaluate the biological functions of the key gene to find new immunotherapy biomarkers. Weighted correlation network analysis (WGCNA) and negative matrix factorization (NMF) were used for distinguishing BC subtypes. The signature and the nomogram were both constructed and evaluated. Biological functions of the novel signature gene SLC2A6 were confirmed through in vitro and in vivo experiments. RNA-Sequencing and protein profiling were used for detecting the possible mechanism of SLC2A6. The results suggested that four BC subtypes were distinguished by TP53-related genes that affect M1 macrophage infiltration. The signature constructed by molecular typing characteristics could evaluate BC's clinical features and tumor microenvironment. The nomogram could accurately predict the prognosis. The signature gene SLC2A6 was found to have an abnormally low expression in tumor tissues. Overexpression of SLC2A6 could inhibit proliferation, promote mitochondrial damage, and result in apoptosis of tumor cells. The HSP70 family member protein HSPA6 could bind with SLC2A6 and increase with the increased expression of SLC2A6. Background: Yaks are a vital livestock in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau area for providing food products, maintaining sustainable ecosystems, and promoting cultural heritage. Because of uncontrolled mating, it is impossible to estimate inbreeding level of yak populations using the pedigree-based approaches. With the aims to accurately evaluate inbreeding level of two Chinese yak populations (Maiwa and Jiulong), we obtained genome-wide single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) by DNA sequencing and calculated five SNP-by-SNP estimators ( , , , , and ), as well as two segment-based estimators of runs of homozygosity (ROH, ) and homozygous-by-descent (HBD, ). Functional implications were analyzed for the positional candidate genes located within the related genomic regions. Results: A total of 151,675 and 190,955 high-quality SNPs were obtained from 71 Maiwa and 30 Jiulong yaks, respectively. Jiulong had greater genetic diversity than Maiwa in terms of allele frequency and nucleotide diversity. The two populations could be genetically distinguished by principal component analysis, with the mean differentiation index (Fst) of 0.0054. The greater genomic inbreeding levels of Maiwa yaks were consistently supported by all five SNP-by-SNP estimators. Based on simple proportion of homozygous SNPs (), a lower inbreeding level was indicated by three successfully sequenced old leather samples that may represent historical Maiwa yaks about five generations ago. There were 3304 ROH detected among all samples, with mean and median length of 1.97 Mb and 1.0 Mb, respectively. A total of 94 HBD segments were found among all samples, whereas 92 of them belonged to the shortest class with the mean length of 10.9 Kb. Based on the estimates of and , however, there was no difference in inbreeding level between Maiwa and Jiulong yaks. Within the genomic regions with the significant Fst or enriched by ROH, we found several candidate genes and pathways that have been reported to be related to diverse production traits in farm animals. Conclusions: We successfully evaluated the genomic inbreeding level of two Chinese yak populations. Although different estimators resulted in inconsistent conclusions on their genomic inbreeding levels, our results may be helpful to implement the genetic conservation and utilization programs for the two yak populations. However, developing high‐performance catalysts for hydrazine oxidation (HzOR) and hydrogen evolution (HER) is challenging. Here, we introduce a bifunctional electrocatalyst α‐MoC/N−C/RuNSA, merging ruthenium (Ru) nanoclusters (NCs) and single atoms (SA) into cubic α‐MoC nanoparticles‐decorated N‐doped carbon (α‐MoC/N−C) nanowires, through electrodeposition. The composite showcases exceptional activity for both HzOR and HER, requiring −80 mV and −9 mV respectively to reach 10 mA cm−2. Theoretical and experimental insights confirm the importance of two Ru species for bifunctionality: NCs enhance the conductivity, and its coexistence with SA balances the H ad/desorption for HER and facilitates the initial dehydrogenation during the HzOR. In the overall hydrazine splitting (OHzS) system, α‐MoC/N−C/RuNSA excels as both anode and cathode materials, achieving 10 mA cm−2 at just 64 mV. The zinc hydrazine (Zn−Hz) battery assembled with α‐MoC/N−C/RuNSA cathode and Zn foil anode can exhibit 97.3 % energy efficiency, as well as temporary separation of hydrogen gas during the discharge process. A novel process using N-benzylhydroxylamine hydrochloride as a "C1N1 synthon" in [2+2+1] cyclization for the construction of 1,2,5-trisubstituted imidazoles has been described for the first time. The key to realizing this process lies in capturing arylamines by in situ generated novel acyl ketonitrone intermediates. Subsequent tautomerization activates the α-C(sp3)–H of N-benzylhydroxylamines, and thus breaks through its inherent reaction mode and achieves N, α-C site-selective cyclization. An improved microwave gaseous absorption scheme based on statistical regression is proposed in this study. In the new scheme, Monochromatic Radiative Transfer Model (MonoRTM) replaces the Millimeter‐wave Propagation Model (MPM) to train the new scheme and the effect of real Spectral Response Functions is included in the training process. After the replacement, results of the new scheme are closer to observations from Advanced Technology Microwave Sounder (ATMS) onboard Suomi National Polar‐orbiting Partnership satellite in low level channels while MPM has some advantages in upper level channels. Introducing ozone absorption can cause a systematic bias but results in small standard deviations in channels with frequency 183 ± 1.8 GHz and 183 ± 1 GHz. In addition, the new scheme updates the vertical interpolation of water vapor and optimizes the vertical distribution of Planck function. These updates can reduce biases caused by vertical interpolation, especially for water vapor absorption channels. The bias associated to vertical interpolation can reach 0.25 K whereas the new scheme can decrease it to 0.003 K. To further validate the accuracy of the new scheme, we apply the new scheme to Advanced Radiative transfer Modeling System and compare simulated results to RTTOV 13.2 under 37 and 137 level (L) atmosphere (atm). Observations from ATMS onboard NOAA‐20 are used as true values. Results show that the new scheme agrees with RTTOV 13.2 well in accuracy and performs even better in upper level channels and water vapor absorption channels. Plain Language Summary: Fast radiative transfer (RT) models play a crucial role in satellite data assimilation as well as remote sensing. Gaseous absorption calculation is a fundamental aspect of fast RT models. With the capability of new‐generation spaceborne microwave instruments to observe spectra beyond 200 GHz, Monochromatic Radiative Transfer Model (MonoRTM) is utilized to train the microwave gaseous absorption scheme. The absorption of oxygen, ozone, water vapor and nitrogen is considered. In addition, the mismatch of vertical coordinates between fast RT models and input profiles requires fast RT models to do vertical interpolation during simulations. Vertical interpolation may introduce notable biases in microwave water vapor absorption channels. In this study, we enhance the vertical interpolation of water vapor and optimize the vertical distribution of the Planck function to mitigate these biases. Background: The high prevalence of diabetic kidney disease (DKD) in the United States necessitates further investigation into its impact on complications associated with total hip arthroplasty (THA). This study utilizes a large nationwide database to explore risk factors in DKD cases undergoing THA. Methods: This research utilized a case–control design, leveraging data from the national inpatient sample for the years 2016 to 2019. Employing propensity score matching (PSM), patients diagnosed with DKD were paired on a 1:1 basis with individuals free of DKD, ensuring equivalent age, sex, race, Elixhauser Comorbidity Index (ECI), and insurance coverage. Subsequently, comparisons were drawn between these PSM-matched cohorts, examining their characteristics and the incidence of post-THA complications. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was then employed to evaluate the risk of early complications after surgery. Results: DKD's prevalence in the THA cohort was 2.38%. A 7-year age gap separated DKD and non-DKD patients (74 vs. 67 years, P < 0.0001). Additionally, individuals aged above 75 exhibited a substantial 22.58% increase in DKD risk (49.16% vs. 26.58%, P < 0.0001). Notably, linear regression analysis yielded a significant association between DKD and postoperative acute kidney injury (AKI), with DKD patients demonstrating 2.274-fold greater odds of AKI in contrast with non-DKD individuals (95% CI: 2.091–2.473). Conclusions: This study demonstrates that DKD is a significant risk factor for AKI in patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty. Optimizing preoperative kidney function through appropriate interventions might decrease the risk of poor prognosis in this population. More prospective research is warranted to investigate the potential of targeted kidney function improvement strategies in reducing AKI rates after THA. The findings of this study hold promise for enhancing preoperative counseling by surgeons, enabling them to provide DKD patients undergoing THA with more precise information regarding the risks associated with their condition. Featured Application: This work explores the computation of disparity in stereoscopic laparoscopic images through stereo matching algorithms. By integrating the focal length and baseline of the laparoscopic vision system, we can transform the disparity into depth measurements. This digitized depth information facilitates the three-dimensional reconstruction of surgical scenes, and the real-time three-dimensional reconstructed images have the potential to provide supplementary guidance information to surgeons during procedures, thereby reducing surgical risks. Additionally, by leveraging this known digitized depth information, surgical robots can synchronize their movements with beating organs, thus reducing the complexity of such surgeries. Perception of digitized depth is a prerequisite for enabling the intelligence of three-dimensional (3D) laparoscopic systems. In this context, stereo matching of laparoscopic stereoscopic images presents a promising solution. However, the current research in this field still faces challenges. First, the acquisition of accurate depth labels in a laparoscopic environment proves to be a difficult task. Second, errors in the correction of laparoscopic images are prevalent. Finally, laparoscopic image registration suffers from ill-posed regions such as specular highlights and textureless areas. In this paper, we make significant contributions by developing (1) a correction compensation module to overcome correction errors; (2) an adaptive cost aggregation module to improve prediction performance in ill-posed regions; (3) a novel self-supervised stereo matching framework based on these two modules. Specifically, our framework rectifies features and images based on learned pixel offsets, and performs differentiated aggregation on cost volumes based on their value. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed modules. On the SCARED dataset, our model reduces the mean depth error by 12.6% compared to the baseline model and outperforms the state-of-the-art unsupervised methods and well-generalized models. Heterogeneous organ‐specific responses to immunotherapy exist in lung cancer. Dissecting tumor microenvironment (TME) can provide new insights into the mechanisms of divergent responses, the process of which remains poor, partly due to the challenges associated with single‐cell profiling using formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded (FFPE) materials. In this study, single‐cell nuclei RNA sequencing and imaging mass cytometry (IMC) are used to dissect organ‐specific cellular and spatial TME based on FFPE samples from paired primary lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) and metastases. Single‐cell analyses of 84 294 cells from sequencing and 250 600 cells from IMC reveal divergent organ‐specific immune niches. For sites of LUAD responding well to immunotherapy, including primary LUAD and adrenal gland metastases, a significant enrichment of B, plasma, and T cells is detected. Spatially resolved maps reveal cellular neighborhoods recapitulating functional units of the tumor ecosystem and the spatial proximity of B and CD4+ T cells at immunogenic sites. Various organ‐specific densities of tertiary lymphoid structures are observed. Immunosuppressive sites, including brain and liver metastases, are deposited with collagen I, and T cells at these sites highly express TIM‐3. This study originally deciphers the single‐cell landscape of the organ‐specific TME at both cellular and spatial levels for LUAD, indicating the necessity for organ‐specific treatment approaches. SnSb2Te4 (SST), a ternary van der Waals (vdW) material, has been widely investigated during last decades for potential applications in superconductivity, thermoelectricity, and optoelectronics. Recently, atomically thin SST has been predicted to show abnormal electronic band structure evolutions, high carrier mobility, and strong light–matter interaction. However, controllable synthesis of such SST crystals has been a huge challenge. Herein, atomically thin SST flakes are prepared via a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method by using SbCl3, SnCl4·5H2O, and Te as the precursors. Multiple structural characterizations reveal that the SST flakes are single crystals with high crystallinity. Due to the narrow bandgap of 0.42 eV, SST‐based photodetectors have a broadband spectrum detection range from visible light through communication bands (480–1550 nm). More importantly, benefiting from a high room‐temperature carrier mobility over 300 cm2 V−1 s−1, the SST photodetectors demonstrate a response/recovery time of tens of tens of microseconds, which exceeds most typical transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) flakes. In addition, the photodetector maintains high performance after being exposed to the air for 2 months, suggesting good environmental stability. Aqueous soluble and stable Cu(I) molecular catalysts featuring a catenane ligand composed of two dicationic, mutually repelling but mechanically interlocked macrocycles are reported. The ligand interlocking not only fine‐tunes the coordination sphere and kinetically stabilizes the Cu(I) against air oxidation and disproportionation, but also buries the hydrophobic portions of the ligands and prevents their dissociation which are necessary for their good water solubility and a sustained activity. These catenane Cu(I) complexes can catalyze the oxidative C−C coupling of indoles and tetrahydroisoquinolines in water, using H2O2 as a green oxidant with a good substrate scope. Aqueous soluble and stable Cu(I) molecular catalysts featuring a catenane ligand composed of two dicationic, mutually repelling but mechanically interlocked macrocycles are reported. The ligand interlocking not only fine‐tunes the coordination sphere and kinetically stabilizes the Cu(I) against air oxidation and disproportionation, but also buries the hydrophobic portions of the ligands and prevents their dissociation which are necessary for their good water solubility and a sustained activity. These catenane Cu(I) complexes can catalyze the oxidative C−C coupling of indoles and tetrahydroisoquinolines in water, using H2O2 as a green oxidant with a good substrate scope. Natural products, while valuable for drug discovery, encounter limitations like uncertainty in targets and toxicity. As an important active ingredient in traditional Chinese medicine, celastrol exhibits a wide range of biological activities, yet its mechanism remains unclear. In this study, they introduced an innovative "Degradation‐based protein profiling (DBPP)" strategy, which combined PROteolysis TArgeting Chimeras (PROTAC) technology with quantitative proteomics and Immunoprecipitation‐Mass Spectrometry (IP‐MS) techniques, to identify multiple targets of natural products using a toolbox of degraders. Taking celastrol as an example, they successfully identified its known targets, including inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa B kinase subunit beta (IKKβ), phosphatidylinositol‐4,5‐bisphosphate 3‐kinase catalytic subunit alpha (PI3Kα), and cellular inhibitor of PP2A (CIP2A), as well as potential new targets such as checkpoint kinase 1 (CHK1), O‐GlcNAcase (OGA), and DNA excision repair protein ERCC‐6‐like (ERCC6L). Furthermore, the first glycosidase degrader is developed in this work. Finally, by employing a mixed PROTAC toolbox in quantitative proteomics, they also achieved multi‐target identification of celastrol, significantly reducing costs while improving efficiency. Taken together, they believe that the DBPP strategy can complement existing target identification strategies, thereby facilitating the rapid advancement of the pharmaceutical field. Aerodynamic/stealth design is becoming an important factor in the advanced airfoil design. In this work, a supervised machine learning method is proposed for aerodynamic and stealth integrated airfoil design. The conditional generative adversarial network (CGAN) is constructed for the multidisciplinary design of airfoil. Then, the generator and discriminator simply using deep neural network have good robustness and stability in training. The CGAN model also shows good generalization capability in the test set, with less than 1% error in fitting to the airfoil profile data, and the generated airfoils are within 10% error compared to the test airfoil aerodynamic stealth characteristics. In addition, the optimization results based on the CGAN model demonstrate that aerodynamic performance improvement would increase the airfoil camber and stealth performance improvement would sharpen the airfoil leading edge. To be precise, for such a diffeomorphism f , if a point y is chain attainable from x through pseudo-orbits, then for any neighborhood U of x and any neighborhood V of y , there exist true orbits from U to V by arbitrarily $C^r$ -small perturbations. As a consequence, we prove that for $C^r$ -generic diffeomorphisms in this class, periodic points are dense in the chain recurrent set, and chain transitivity implies transitivity.
