Mental illness is increasingly recognized as a substantial public health challenge worldwide. With the advent of social media, these platforms have become pivotal for individuals to express their emotions, thoughts, and experiences, thereby serving as a rich resource for mental health research. This paper is devoted to the creation of a comprehensive dataset and an innovative data annotation methodology to explore the underlying causes of these mental health issues. Our approach included the extraction of over one million Reddit posts from five different subreddits, spanning the pre-pandemic, during-pandemic, and post-pandemic periods. These posts were methodically annotated using a set of specific criteria, aimed at identifying various root causes. This rigorous process produced a richly categorized dataset, invaluable for detailed analysis. The complete unlabelled dataset, along with a subset that has been expertly annotated, is prepared for public release, as outlined in the data availability section. This dataset is a critical resource for training and fine-tuning machine learning models to identify the foundational triggers of individual mental health issues, offering valuable insights for practical interventions and future research in this domain. INTRODUCTION: With the continuous progress of the medical Internet of Things, intelligent medical wearable devices are also gradually mature. Among them, medical wearable devices for arrhythmia detection have broad application prospects. Arrhythmia is a common cardiovascular disease. Arrhythmia causes millions of deaths every year and is one of the most noteworthy diseases. Medical mobile information systems (MMIS) provide many ECG signals, which can be used to train deep models to detect arrhythmia automatically. OBJECTIVES: Using deep models to detect arrhythmia is a research hot spot. However, the current algorithms for arrhythmia detection lack of attention to the unsupervised depth model. And they usually build a large comprehensive model for all users for arrhythmia detection, which has low flexibility and cannot extract personalized features from users. Therefore, this paper proposes a personalized arrhythmia detection system based on attention mechanism called personAD. METHODS: The personAD contains four modules: (1) Preprocessing module; (2) Training module; (3) Arrhythmia detection module and (4) User registration module. The personAD trains a separate autoencoder for each user to detect personalized arrhythmia. Using autoencoder to detect arrhythmia can avoid the imbalance of training data. The autoencoder combines a convolutional network and two attention mechanisms. RESULTS: Based on the results on MIT-BIH Arrhythmia Database, we can find that our arrhythmia detection system achieve 98.03% ACC and 99.32% AUC respectively. CONCLUSION: The personAD can effectively detect arrhythmia in ECG signals. The personAD has higher flexibility, and can easily modify the autoencoders for detecting arrhythmia for users. Antisocial behavior (ASB) is one of the ten personality disorders included in ‘The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) and falls in the same cluster as Borderline Personality Disorder, Histrionic Personality Disorder, and Narcissistic Personality Disorder. It is a prevalent pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others. Online antisocial behavior is a social problem and a public health threat. An act of ASB might be fun for a perpetrator; however, it can drive a victim into depression, self-confinement, low self-esteem, anxiety, anger, and suicidal ideation. Online platforms such as Twitter and Reddit can sometimes become breeding grounds for such behavior by allowing people suffering from ASB disorder to manifest their behavior online freely. In this paper, we propose a proactive approach based on natural language processing and deep learning that can enable online platforms to actively look for the signs of antisocial behavior and intervene before it gets out of control. Background: The paper introduces a deep learning-based approach for real-time detection and insights generation about one of the most prevalent chronic conditions in Australia - Pollen allergy. The popular social media platform is used for data collection as cost-effective and unobtrusive alternative for public health monitoring to complement the traditional survey-based approaches.Methods: The data was extracted from Twitter based on pre-defined keywords (i.e. 'hayfever' OR 'hay fever') throughout the period of 6 months, covering the high pollen season in Australia. The following deep learning architectures were adopted in the experiments: CNN, RNN, LSTM and GRU. Both default (GloVe) and domain-specific (HF) word embeddings were used in training the classifiers. Standard evaluation metrics (i.e. Accuracy, Precision and Recall) were calculated for the results validation. Finally, visual correlation with weather variables was performed.Results: The neural networks-based approach was able to correctly identify the implicit mentions of the symptoms and treatments, even unseen previously (accuracy up to 87.9% for GRU with GloVe embeddings of 300 dimensions).Conclusions: The system addresses the shortcomings of the conventional machine learning techniques with manual feature-engineering that prove limiting when exposed to a wide range of non-standard expressions relating to medical concepts. The case-study presented demonstrates an application of 'black-box' approach to the real-world problem, along with its internal workings demonstration towards more transparent, interpretable and reproducible decision-making in health informatics domain.
