2. A proton-catalyzing prodrug for PDT and glycolysis inhibition-synergistic therapy of tumor in spatiotemporal dimensions.

- Abstract
The reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation from photosensitizer in photodynamic therapy (PDT) is limited by tumor hypoxia. Even type-I photosensitizers, e.g., sulfur-substituted Nile blue, still rely on oxygen as the main center for transferring electrons to generate ROS. Cutting off the pathway of oxygen consumption in tumor can help photosensitizers overcome the limitation of low oxygen, in order to efficiently generate more ROS. It is known that glycolysis inhibitor 3-bromopyruvic acid (3-BP), which could specially target mitochondria, can provide more oxygen by inhibiting oxidative phosphorylation. Herein, we successfully designed and synthesized a new 3-BP-coupled sulfur-substituted Nile blue as prodrug (NBBP) for chemical/photodynamic synergistic therapy. Major results indicated that the protons in tumor catalyzed the hydrolysis of NBBP, inhibited photoinduced electron transfer between 3-BP and the photosensitizer in NBBP and further assisted the photosensitizer to be localized in mitochondria, utilizing local oxygen as much as possible and kill tumor cells more efficiently. Moreover, the glycolysis inhibition-induced autophagy was combined with PDT-induced autophagy, which could promote the deaths of tumor cells. Unlike other remedies exploiting nanomaterials, this construction method of NBBP achieves the efficient synergy of photodynamic therapy and glycolysis inhibition, stronger than their theoretical addition, in spatiotemporal dimensions. In recent years, graph convolutional neural networks (GCNs) and convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have made significant strides in hyperspectral image (HSI) classification. However, existing models often encounter information redundancy and feature mismatch during feature fusion, and they struggle with small-scale refined features. To address these issues, we propose DCG-Net, an innovative classification network integrating CNN and GCN architectures. Our approach includes the development of a double-branch expanding network (E-Net) to enhance spectral features and efficiently extract high-level features. Additionally, we incorporate a GCN with an attention mechanism to facilitate the integration of multi-space scale superpixel-level and pixel-level features. To further improve feature fusion, we introduce a feature aggregation module (FAM) that adaptively learns channel features, enhancing classification robustness and accuracy. Comprehensive experiments on three widely used datasets show that DCG-Net achieves superior classification results compared to other state-of-the-art methods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

4. DEAD-Box Helicase 17 circRNA (circDDX17) Reduces Sorafenib Resistance and Tumorigenesis in Hepatocellular Carcinoma.

Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common type of liver malignancy. Despite significant progress in HCC treatment, resistance to chemotherapy and tumor metastasis are the main reasons for the unsatisfactory prognosis of HCC. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) have been extensively documented to play a role in the development of various types of cancer. Aims: Here, we investigated the role of DEAD-box helicase 17 circRNA (circDDX17) in HCC and its underlying molecular mechanisms. Methods: Our research employed various techniques including reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR), cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8), flow cytometry, dual luciferase reporter assay, RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP), and western blot analysis. Additionally, we conducted a tumor xenograft assay to investigate the in vivo function of circDDX17. Results: Firstly, the expression of circDDX17 was downregulated in HCC tissues and cells. Through functional experiments, it was observed that the overexpression of circDDX17 enhanced the sensitivity of sorafenib, promoted apoptosis, and inhibited the process of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in vitro. Additionally, in vivo studies revealed that circDDX17 reduced tumor growth and increased sorafenib sensitivity. Mechanically, circDDX17 competitively combined miR-21-5p to suppress PTEN expression and activate the PI3K/AKT pathway. Furthermore, our rescue assays demonstrated that circDDX17 act as a tumor suppressor by blocking sorafenib resistance and tumorigenesis, while the inhibitory effect caused by circDDX17 upregulation was neutralized when miR-21-5p was overexpressed, PTEN was silenced, or the PI3K/AKT pathway was activated. Conclusion: Our findings firstly confirmed that circDDX17 suppressed sorafenib resistance and HCC progression by regulating miR-21-5p/PTEN/PI3K/AKT pathway, which may provide novel biomarkers for the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of HCC. Schematic illustration showed that the molecular mechanism by which circDDX17 regulates sorafenib resistance and tumor progression of HCC via the miR-21-5p/PTEN/PI3K/AKT pathway. In HCC cells, the expression of circDDX17 was decreased, and overexpression of circDDX17 promoted cell apoptosis, and enhanced sorafenib sensitivity and reduced EMT process. Besides, circDDX17 competitively combined miR-21-5p and miR-21-5p targeted suppression PTEN to regulate the activation of PI3K/AKT pathway, thus promoting the tumorigenesis of HCC. 5. Adsorption properties of Pb(II) and Cd(II) in acid mine drainage by oyster shell loaded lignite composite in different morphologies.

A new idea to alleviate environmental pollution is the development of low-cost adsorbents using natural minerals and fishery wastes to treat high concentrations of heavy metal pollutants in acid mine drainage (AMD). Adsorbent morphology, adsorptive and regenerative capacity, and application potential are limiting factors for their large-scale use. Oyster shells capable of releasing alkalinity were loaded on the surface of lignite to develop two composite adsorbents with different morphologies (powdery and globular) for the treatment of AMD containing Pb(II) and Cd(II). The results show that the ability of the adsorbent to treat AMD is closely related to its morphologies. The pseudo-second-order kinetic model and the Langmuir model are suitable to describe the adsorption process of OS-M(P), and the maximum adsorption saturation capacities of Pb(II) and Cd(II) are 332.6219 mg/g and 318.9854 mg/g, respectively. The pseudo-second-order kinetic model and the Freundlich model are suitable to describe the adsorption process of OS-M(G). A synergistic result of electrostatic adsorption, neutralization precipitation, ion exchange and complex reaction is achieved in the removal of Pb(II) and Cd(II) by two morphologies of adsorbents. The regeneration times (5 times) and recovery rate (75.75%) of OS-M(G) are higher than those of OS-M(P) (3 times) and recovery rate (20%). The ability of OS-M(G) to treat actual AMD wastewater is still better than that of OS-M(P). OS-M(G) can be used as a promising environmentally friendly adsorbent for the long-term remediation of AMD. Background: Vesical Imaging–Reporting and Data System (VI‐RADS) is widely used to assess the muscle‐invasive status of bladder cancer. However, the current classification efficacy of VI‐RASD 2 tumors of stalk is unsatisfactory. Purpose: To develop a nomogram to assess muscle‐invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) in VI‐RADS 2 tumors with stalk. Study Type: Retrospective. Population: A total of 186 patients (age: 67.8 ± 12.7 years) with 15.1% females, divided randomly into a training cohort (N = 130) and validation cohort (N = 56). Field Strength/Sequence: 3‐T, T2‐weighted imaging (turbo spin‐echo), diffusion‐weighted imaging (breathing‐free spin‐echo), and dynamic contrast‐enhanced imaging (gradient‐echo). Assessment: Twenty‐one MRI features of tumors and stalks were developed from training cohort. The mean apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values of the tumor, stalk, and psoas muscles were calculated from the three circular regions of interest. The normalized T value=meanADCtumormeanADCmuscle. The normalized ST value=meanADCstalkmeanADCtumor. Three readers assessed the morphology of tumors and stalks. Statistical Tests: The final features of nomogram were selected by univariable logistic and the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression. The performance of the nomogram was assessed by the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, calibration, and decision curve analysis. Results: In VI‐RADS 2 tumors with stalk, tumor size over 3 cm, increased stalk width, stalk morphology, decreased normalized T value, and increased normalized ST value were selected as the risk factors for MIBC. The AUC, accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of the nomogram to assess MIBC were 0.969 (95% CI: 0.941–0.997), 92.3%, 94.1%, and 92.0% in training cohort and 0.940 (95% CI: 0.859–1.000), 89.3%, 75.0%, and 91.7% in validation cohort. This article reports on the recent mining and production status of ruby in Longido, Tanzania. Faceted-grade rubies and their matrix from Longido Area, Tanzania, were investigated by standard gemological testing, including FTIR, UV-VIS, Raman spectra, and LA-ICP-MS. Microscopic observations revealed dense needle-like and triangular inclusions, distinct growth lines, and color banding as typical inclusions. In agreement with the Raman results, the transmission FTIR spectrum confirmed the presence of aluminum hydroxide. The Raman spectra identified associated minerals and inclusions, including zoisite, parasites, feldspar within the matrix, rutile, and diaspore in the ruby host. The chemistry analysis revealed a high amount of Cr and relatively low iron as a good indicator of geographic origin. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study was designed to determine the fragmentation of sub-lakes in winter and its effects on wintering waterbirds in Poyang Lake. Poyang Lake becomes fragmented in winter, which forms many seasonal sub-lakes every year, and have different environmental characteristics. These sub-lakes significantly impact winter bird habitats and result in susceptibility to various changes, because birds have different distribution responses. A total of 24 sub-lakes were surveyed from one to five vantage points using point count methods in each sub-lake with binoculars, monocular, and a spotting scope for four consecutive winter seasons. The multi-site dissimilarity Sorensen index measures overlapped between two populations, and the R software "iNEXT" package was used to evaluate the sample coverage test of the study area. We observed 58 wintering waterbird species belonging to 9 orders and 15 families from 2016 to 2020. Spearman correlation analysis showed that the species richness of wintering waterbirds was significantly positively correlated with the sub-lake areas and associated with the richness of habitat type. The WNODF analyses were considerably correlated for sites of waterbirds, mainly with the abundance of forage and conservation of habitat form. The outcomes of this study showed that Maying Lake has the highest local beta diversity, whereas Dacha Lake has the lowest local beta diversity contribution (0.007). This study's findings demonstrate Poyang Lake's role in waterbird the habitat suitability of waterbirds, especially for foraging and conservation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Herein, 24CrNiMo low‐alloy steel is successfully prepared using selective laser melting (SLM) technology. Effects of dual‐phase region quenching treatment on microstructure and mechanical properties of SLM 24CrNiMo low‐alloy steel are analyzed. The results show that after three kinds of dual‐phase region quenching treatment, different martensite–ferrite dual‐phase microstructure of the as‐quenched alloy steel is obtained. In the range of austenitizing temperature from 760 to 820 °C, the content and size of the ferrite decrease; on the contrary, the content and size of the martensite increase. Furthermore, with the austenitizing temperature increasing, the morphology of the ferrite gradually changes from acicular ferrite + polygonal ferrite to acicular ferrite, while the lath characteristics of the martensite become more and more obvious. For electron backscatter diffraction results, with increasing the quenching temperature, the crystallographic morphology gradually changes from columnar grains to equiaxed grains; meanwhile, the extreme value of texture strength and the average size of grains are both decreased. When the austenitizing temperature is 820 °C, the microhardness and tensile strength of the as‐quenched alloy steel are much higher than that of the as‐deposited alloy steel. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

11. Risk-Aware Deep Reinforcement Learning for Robot Crowd Navigation.

Ensuring safe and efficient navigation in crowded environments is a critical goal for assistive robots. Recent studies have emphasized the potential of deep reinforcement learning techniques to enhance robots' navigation capabilities in the presence of crowds. However, current deep reinforcement learning methods often face the challenge of robots freezing as crowd density increases. To address this issue, a novel risk-aware deep reinforcement learning approach is proposed in this paper. The proposed method integrates a risk function to assess the probability of collision between the robot and pedestrians, enabling the robot to proactively prioritize pedestrians with a higher risk of collision. Furthermore, the model dynamically adjusts the fusion strategy of learning-based and risk-aware-based features, thereby improving the robustness of robot navigation. Evaluations were conducted to determine the effectiveness of the proposed method in both low- and high-crowd density settings. The results exhibited remarkable navigation success rates of 98.0% and 93.2% in environments with 10 and 20 pedestrians, respectively. These findings emphasize the robust performance of the proposed method in successfully navigating through crowded spaces. Additionally, the approach achieves navigation times comparable to those of state-of-the-art methods, confirming its efficiency in accomplishing navigation tasks. The generalization capability of the method was also rigorously assessed by subjecting it to testing in crowd environments exceeding the training density. Notably, the proposed method attains an impressive navigation success rate of 90.0% in 25-person environments, surpassing the performance of existing approaches and establishing itself as a state-of-the-art solution. This result highlights the versatility and effectiveness of the proposed method in adapting to various crowd densities and further reinforces its applicability in real-world scenarios. We consider an indefinite perturbation of the eigenvalue problem for the nonautonomous p-Laplacian. The main result establishes an exhaustive analysis in the nontrivial case that corresponds to noncoercive perturbations of the reaction. Using variational tools and truncation and comparison techniques, we prove an existence and multiplicity theorem which is global in the parameter. The main result of this paper establishes the existence of at least two positive solutions in the case of small perturbations, while no solution exists for high perturbations of the quasilinear term in the reaction. 13. Mapping the immunological battlefield in gastric cancer: prognostic implications of an immune gene expression signature.

Background: Gastric cancer (GC) is a heterogeneous malignancy with variable clinical outcomes. The immune system has been implicated in GC development and progression, highlighting the importance of immune-related gene expression patterns and their prognostic significance. Objective: This study aimed to identify differentially expressed immune-related genes (DEIRGs) and establish a prognostic index for GC patients using comprehensive bioinformatic analyses. Methods: We integrated RNA sequencing data from multiple databases and identified DEIRGs by overlapping differentially expressed genes with immune-related genes. Functional enrichment analysis was performed to uncover the biological processes and signaling pathways associated with DEIRGs. We conducted a Weighted Gene Co-expression Network Analysis (WGCNA) to identify key gene modules related to with GC. Cox regression analysis was conducted to determine independent prognostic DEIRGs for overall survival prediction. Based on these findings, we developed an immune-related gene prognostic index (IRGPI) based on these findings. The prognostic value of the IRGPI was validated using survival analysis and an independent validation cohort. Functional enrichment analysis, gene mutation analysis, and immune cell profiling were performed to gain insights into the biological functions and immune characteristics associated with the IRGPI-based subgroups. Results: We identified 493 DEIRGs significantly enriched in immune-related biological processes and signaling pathways associated with GC. WGCNA analysis revealed a significant module (turquoise module) associated with GC, revealing potential therapeutic targets. Cox regression analysis identified RNASE2, CGB5, CTLA4, and DUSP1 as independent prognostic DEIRGs. The IRGPI, incorporating the expression levels of these genes, demonstrated significant prognostic value in predicting overall survival. The IRGPI-based subgroups exhibited distinct biological functions, genetic alterations, and immune cell compositions. Conclusion: Our study identified DEIRGs and established a prognostic index (IRGPI) for GC patients. The IRGPI exhibited promising prognostic potential and provided insights into GC tumor biology and immune characteristics. These findings have implications for guiding therapeutic strategies. In this study, a protective agent was added to prepare a high-activity Lactiplantibacillus plantarum x3-2b bacterial powder as a fermentation agent and explore its effect on the physicochemical quality, biogenic amines, and flavor of fermented lamb jerky. A composite protective agent, composed of 15% skim milk powder and 10% trehalose, was used, and bacterial mud was mixed with the protective agent at a 1:1.2 mass ratio. The resulting freeze-dried bacterial powder achieved a viable count of 5.1 lg CFU/g with a lyophilization survival rate of 87.58%. Scanning electron microscopy revealed enhanced cell coverage by the composite protective agent, maintaining the cell membrane's integrity. Inoculation with x3-2b bacterial powder increased the pH and the reduction in a
w , enhanced the appearance and texture of fermented lamb jerky, increased the variety and quantity of flavor compounds, and reduced the accumulation of biogenic amines (phenethylamine, histamine, and putrescine). This research provides a theoretical basis for improving and regulating the quality of lamb jerky and establishes a foundation for the development of bacterial powder for the commercial fermentation of meat products. 15. Solanum nigrum Linn.: Advances in anti-cancer activity and mechanism in digestive system tumors.

Cancer has currently become a serious public health issue in many countries worldwide, and tumors of the digestive system have attracted an increasing number of researchers' due to their numerous types, high proportion and wide area of occurrence. While tumors of the digestive system suffer from high mortality rates, leading to untimely diagnosis and a poor prognosis, making it necessary to update current treatment approaches such as surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. This highlights the importance of exploring novel therapeutic ideas and targets. Traditional Chinese medicine has a long history of clinical use due to its low toxicity and multi-factor targeting of multiple pathways. As a kind of traditional Chinese herb, S. nigrum Linn. is highly regarded for its proven antitumor activity. The aim of this study was to comprehensively recapitulate and analyze the anti-cancer effects and molecular mechanisms of treatment of gastrointestinal tumors with S. nigrum Linn. extracts and related compounds, including classical signaling pathways mediated by them as well as noncoding RNA pathways associated with tumor suppression. Components that have been found to be responsible for the anti-cancer activity of S. nigrum Linn. include solanine, solasonine, solamargine, a-L-rhhamnopyranose, uttroside B, degalactotigonin, glycoprotein, and other compounds. The underlying mechanisms of anti-cancer activity reflected in this study include apoptosis, cell cycle arrest, autophagy, anti-angiogenesis, suppression of metastasis and invasion, immune escape, and increased sensitivity to radiotherapy. S. nigrum Linn. has great potential in the treatment of tumors of the digestive system, and through further clinical trials and pharmacological mechanisms it has the potential to become a uniform and standardized anti-tumor drug. Recently, applying the utilization of RGB-D data for robot perception tasks has garnered significant attention in domains like robotics and autonomous driving. However, a prominent challenge in this field lies in the substantial impact of feature robustness on both segmentation and pose estimation tasks. To tackle this challenge, we proposed a pioneering two-stage hybrid Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architecture, which connects segmentation and pose estimation in tandem. Specifically, we developed Cross-Modal (CM) and Cross-Layer (CL) modules to exploit the complementary information from RGB and depth modalities, as well as the hierarchical features from diverse layers of the network. The CM and CL integration strategy significantly enhanced the segmentation accuracy by effectively capturing spatial and contextual information. Furthermore, we introduced the Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM), which dynamically recalibrated the feature maps, enabling the network to focus on informative regions and channels, thereby enhancing the overall performance of the pose estimation task. We conducted extensive experiments on benchmark datasets to evaluate the proposed method and achieved exceptional target pose estimation results, with an average accuracy of 94.5% using the ADD-S AUC metric and 97.6% of ADD-S smaller than 2 cm. 18. Establishment and Application of a Multiplex PCR Assay for Detection of Sclerotium rolfsii, Lasiodiplodia theobromae, and Fusarium oxysporum in Peanut.

Southern blight, stem rot, and root rot are serious soil-borne fungal diseases of peanut, which are caused by Sclerotium rolfsii, Lasiodiplodia theobromae, and Fusarium oxysporum, respectively. These diseases are difficult to be diagnosed in early stage of infection, causing the optimal treatment period was often missed. Therefore, establishing a rapid detection system is of great significance for early prevention of peanut soil-borne fungal diseases. Here, we have invented a multiplex PCR detection system to detect fungal pathogens of peanut southern blight, stem rot, and root rot at the same time. The quarantine fungal pathogen primer pairs were amplified to the specific number of base pairs in each of the following fungal pathogens: 1005-bp (F. oxysporum), 238-bp (L. theobromae), and 638-bp (S. rolfsii). The detection limit for the single and multiplex PCR primer sets was 1 ng of template DNA under in vitro conditions. Amplification of fungi of non-target species yielded no non-specific products. The validation showed that the multiplex PCR could effectively detect single and mixed infections in field samples. Overview, this study proved that this mPCR assay was a rapid, reliable, and simple tool for the simultaneous detection of three important peanut soil-borne diseases, which facilitated prompt treatment and prevention of peanut root diseases. Background and Purpose: Liver failure is associated with psychiatric alterations, partly resulting from the increased brain dopamine levels. We investigated the relationship between increased dopamine levels and mental abnormalities using bile duct ligation (BDL) rats and the mechanism by which liver failure increased dopamine levels in SH‐SY5Y cells. Behavioural tests were carried out on day 13 and 27 following BDL, along with measurements of dopamine and metabolites, expressions of enzymes and transporters related to dopamine metabolism, and its transport into the cortex and the hippocampus. SH‐SY5Y cells were used to investigate whether NH4Cl, bile acids and bilirubin affected expression of tyrosine hydroxylase or not. Tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) expression in SH‐SY5Y cells co‐incubated with bilirubin and signal pathway inhibitors was measured. Key Results: Open‐field test results demonstrated BDL rats showed anxiety‐like behaviour, accompanied by increased dopamine levels and expression of TH protein in the cortex. Membrane bound long form (MB)‐COMT, slightly but significantly decreased. SH‐SY5Y cells indicated that increased bilirubin levels was a factor in inducing TH expression. Both inhibitor of NF‐κB pathway BAY 11‐7082 and silencing NF‐κB p65 reversed bilirubin‐induced upregulation of TH protein. NF‐κB activator TNF‐α increased expression of TH protein. Roles of bilirubin in increases of TH protein expressions and dopamine levels were measured using hyperbilirubinemia rats. Anxiety‐like behaviour, was associated with increased dopamine levels and TH protein expressions in hyperbilirubinemia rats. Conclusion and Implications: BDL significantly increased dopamine levels in rat cortex partly due to bilirubin‐mediated TH induction. 20. Spatio-Temporal Evolution and Propagation of Meteoro-Hydrological Drought in Yalong River Basin.

Based on the meteorological and hydrological data of the Yalong River Basin from 1960 to 2019, meteorological and hydrological droughts were analyzed using the standardized precipitation evapotranspiration index (SPEI) and standardized runoff index (SRI); then, the spatio-temporal evolution and propagation characteristics of the droughts were studied on multiple time scales. The results showed that, firstly, on the annual scale, the frequencies of meteorological and hydrological droughts in the basin were 28.3% and 34.0%, respectively, in the past 60 years. From upstream to downstream, the longer the alternating period of dry and wet periods, the more significant the frequency of droughts. Secondly, on a seasonal scale, the frequency of meteorological droughts is high in autumn, and the frequency of hydrological drought is high in autumn and winter. The frequency of drought in different seasons decreases from the upper reaches to the lower reaches of the basin. Thirdly, on a monthly scale, the severe and exceptional meteorological drought frequencies are high from March to May, and the severe and exceptional hydrological drought frequencies are high in January, March, October, and December. The frequency of hydrological droughts is much higher than that of meteorological droughts, especially with respect to severe and exceptional drought. Meteorological and hydrological droughts spread in the same period without lag, but they tend to expand. The propagation time of drought is short in summer and autumn, but long in spring and winter. The conclusions can serve as a decision-making basis for the water diversion planning of the west route of China's South-to-North Water Diversion Project and the cascade hydropower operation of the basin. BRD4 is a well‐recognized transcriptional activator, but how it regulates gene transcriptional repression in a cell type‐specific manner has remained elusive. In this study, we report that BRD4 works with Polycomb repressive complex 2 (PRC2) to repress transcriptional expression of the T‐helper 2 (Th2)‐negative regulators Foxp3 and E3‐ubiqutin ligase Fbxw7 during lineage‐specific differentiation of Th2 cells from mouse primary naïve CD4+ T cells. Brd4 binds to the lysine‐acetylated‐EED subunit of the PRC2 complex via its second bromodomain (BD2) to facilitate histone H3 lysine 27 trimethylation (H3K27me3) at target gene loci and thereby transcriptional repression. We found that Foxp3 represses transcription of Th2‐specific transcription factor Gata3, while Fbxw7 promotes its ubiquitination‐directed protein degradation. BRD4‐mediated repression of Foxp3 and Fbxw7 in turn promotes BRD4‐ and Gata3‐mediated transcriptional activation of Th2 cytokines including Il4, Il5, and Il13. Chemical inhibition of the BRD4 BD2 induces transcriptional de‐repression of Foxp3 and Fbxw7, and thus transcriptional downregulation of Il4, Il5, and Il13, resulting in inhibition of Th2 cell lineage differentiation. Our study presents a previously unappreciated mechanism of BRD4's role in orchestrating a Th2‐specific transcriptional program that coordinates gene repression and activation, and safeguards cell lineage differentiation. 22. HTC-Grasp: A Hybrid Transformer-CNN Architecture for Robotic Grasp Detection.

Accurately detecting suitable grasp areas for unknown objects through visual information remains a challenging task. Drawing inspiration from the success of the Vision Transformer in vision detection, the hybrid Transformer-CNN architecture for robotic grasp detection, known as HTC-Grasp, is developed to improve the accuracy of grasping unknown objects. The architecture employs an external attention-based hierarchical Transformer as an encoder to effectively capture global context and correlation features across the entire dataset. Furthermore, a channel-wise attention-based CNN decoder is presented to adaptively adjust the weight of the channels in the approach, resulting in more efficient feature aggregation. The proposed method is validated on the Cornell and the Jacquard dataset, achieving an image-wise detection accuracy of 98.3% and 95.8% on each dataset, respectively. Additionally, the object-wise detection accuracy of 96.9% and 92.4% on the same datasets are achieved based on this method. A physical experiment is also performed using the Elite 6Dof robot, with a grasping accuracy rate of 93.3%, demonstrating the proposed method's ability to grasp unknown objects in real scenarios. 23. Bilateral Cross-Modal Fusion Network for Robot Grasp Detection.

In the field of vision-based robot grasping, effectively leveraging RGB and depth information to accurately determine the position and pose of a target is a critical issue. To address this challenge, we proposed a tri-stream cross-modal fusion architecture for 2-DoF visual grasp detection. This architecture facilitates the interaction of RGB and depth bilateral information and was designed to efficiently aggregate multiscale information. Our novel modal interaction module (MIM) with a spatial-wise cross-attention algorithm adaptively captures cross-modal feature information. Meanwhile, the channel interaction modules (CIM) further enhance the aggregation of different modal streams. In addition, we efficiently aggregated global multiscale information through a hierarchical structure with skipping connections. To evaluate the performance of our proposed method, we conducted validation experiments on standard public datasets and real robot grasping experiments. We achieved image-wise detection accuracy of 99.4% and 96.7% on Cornell and Jacquard datasets, respectively. The object-wise detection accuracy reached 97.8% and 94.6% on the same datasets. Furthermore, physical experiments using the 6-DoF Elite robot demonstrated a success rate of 94.5%. These experiments highlight the superior accuracy of our proposed method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purple-violet gem spinels from Tanzania and Myanmar have been investigated for their gemological, spectroscopic, chemical, and colorimetric characteristics. Samples TS and MS both had a purple hue with a pinkish or brownish secondary tone and medium–strong saturation. We identified a number of inclusions, including dolomite, phlogopite, and forsterite in Tanzanian spinel and magnesite, apatite, baddeleyite, anhydrite, pyroxene, and graphite in Myanmar spinel. Tanzanian spinels have slightly lower FWHM (full width at half maximum) values of the 406 cm
−1 line in the Raman spectrum and the Cr3+ zero phonon line in the PL spectrum compared to samples from Myanmar. Fe, Mn, Cr, V, and Zn are proved as useful discriminators to distinguish these two geographic locations. UV-Vis-NIR spectra and CIE L*a*b* parameters are compared with trace element chemistry. Both samples are colored by Fe2+ , with minor Fe3+ , Cr3+ , and V3+ . Cr, V, and Fe are combined to influence the hue angle and lightless of purple spinels from Tanzania. However, due to the relatively stable content in Myanmar samples, Fe shows a minor effect on these two parameters. It is worth noting that all inclusion scene, spectral, and chemical characteristics, as well as the comparison presented in this study are of a limited number of samples from Tanzania and Myanmar. In the present study, we collected and investigated spinels from the Man Sin deposit in Myanmar using standard gemological testing, microscopic observation, EDXRF, and Raman spectrometry. The color observation was performed under various lighting conditions to show color differences. A very high Cr/Fe ratio is linked with exceptionally strong red fluorescence. Microscopic observation and Raman spectroscopy identified mineral inclusions of colorless phlogopite, molybdenite, hauerite, native sulfur, and calcite. Man Sin spinels are typical Fe– and Zn–poor spinels. Binary and ternary diagrams were used to discriminate each deposit (i.e., Man Sin, Mogok, and Namya in Myanmar) with high reliability. Jedi spinel fever in the Asian market, due to their unique neon color appearance and exceptionally strong fluorescence, is also discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study was aimed to obtain calcium-binding peptides with the enzymatic hydrolysis of sheep bone. The peptide of molecular weight from 3 to 10 kDa (SBP3) obtained by alkaline protease had the highest calcium-binding capacities which were mainly due to high levels of residues of Asp, Glu, Arg, Lys, Ser, Leu and Phe. The optimal conditions for the preparation of peptide-calcium chelate (SBP3-Ca) were temperature of 50 °C, pH value of 8, mass ratio of peptide/calcium of 3:1 for 55 min by response surface methodology determined, under which calcium chelating rate of 89.56% was obtained. The spectral results showed that peptides are combined with calcium through the interaction between the amino nitrogen atom and carboxyl oxygen atom. The scanning electron microscope and particle size analyses demonstrated that after peptide was combined with calcium ions, the microstructure was changed and the spatial structure was folded, which reduced the particle size with the formation of irregular particles.SBP3-Ca exhibited excellent stability in the presence of oxalic acid, phytic acid and in vitro simulated gastrointestinal environment. Gemstones usually contain inclusions as the natural hallmark of their formation. Studies on inclusions may contribute to our understanding of the gem and better adapt to the gems and jewelry industry. In this study, we applied advanced 3D Raman mapping and high-resolution X-ray computed tomography (HRXCT) and conducted a thorough experiment on one emerald with a special trapiche pattern containing a colorless core, solid minerals, and fluids. Hematite and magnetite were identified as metallic minerals by the Raman spectrum. The hexagonal core is beryl, and the voids are primarily filled with CO
2 and N2 . HRXCT demonstrated a visualized distribution of these inclusions within the gem host by reconstructing a 3D illustration. Further calculation of the volume of inclusions regarding the host showed that the minerals take up 0.07%, void 0.03%, and the hexagonal core 8.25%. The combined application of Raman-Mapping and X-ray Micro Computed Tomography proved to be a very promising technique for tracing the gemstones by characterizing the unique inclusions (identification and morphology) within the gem host. Previous network feature extraction methods used for network anomaly detection have some problems, such as being unable to extract features from the original network traffic, or that they can only extract coarse-grained features, as well as that they are highly dependent on manual analysis. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a fine-grained and highly practical dynamic application fingerprint extraction method. By putting forward a fine-grained high-utility dynamic fingerprinting (Huf) algorithm to build a Huf-Tree based on the N-gram (every substring of a larger string, of a fixed length n) model, combining it with the network traffic segment-IP address transition (IAT) method to achieve dynamic application fingerprint extraction, and through the utility of fingerprint, the calculation was performed to obtain a more valuable fingerprint, to achieve fine-grained and efficient flow characteristic extraction, and to solve the problem of this method being highly dependent on manual analysis. Obesity and insulin resistance are significant contributors to hypertension. There is a high prevalence of obesity among Uyghurs in the rural areas of Xinjiang, China. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the association between insulin resistance indices and hypertension according to different body weights in rural Uyghur residents of Xinjiang, China. A total of 12 813 local Uyghur residents were recruited for the study. Excluding those with incomplete data and those using antihypertensive, lipid‐lowering, or glycemic drugs, 9577 permanent residents were eligible for the study. Three insulin resistance indicators were calculated: triglyceride to high‐density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio, product of fasting triglyceride and glucose (TYG), and metabolic score for insulin resistance. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to estimate the association between the three non‐insulin‐based insulin resistance indices and the risk of hypertension for different body weights. TYG was significantly associated with hypertension in the normal‐weight group, particularly in women. In the obese group that was obese, all three indicators were associated with hypertension. Since TYG was associated with hypertension in the groups with normal weight and obesity, it may be useful as a reference indicator for insulin resistance. Purpose: Reliable biomarkers for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of various stages of liver cancer are lacking. In this study, we aim to detect the levels of differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) in serum exosomes of patients with different liver diseases using a sensitive method. Patients and Methods: Exosomes were purified and validated. The expression of DEPs in exosomes from patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB), liver cirrhosis (LC) and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) was validated by parallel reaction monitoring (PRM) technology and Western blotting, and the biological functions were analyzed by bioinformatics analysis. Results: A total of 11 DEPs were identified by PRM technology. Significantly higher level of haptoglobin (Hp) was detected in HCC patients as compared to LC and CHB patients. HCC patients had a significantly lower level of transthyretin (TTR) in the patients with CHB. Among the patients with HCC who undertaken surgery, the postoperative levels of CRP, SERPINA3 and Heparin cofactor 2 (SERPIND1) were significantly reduced compared to their respective preoperative levels. Conclusion: Hp and TTR may be potential markers for early diagnosis of HCC. CRP, SERPINA3 and SERPIND1 may serve as potential prognostic indicators for HCC patients undertaken surgery. A well‐controlled bioenhanced reversible addition−fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) in the presence of air is carried out by using glucose oxidase (GOx), glucose, ascorbic acid (Asc acid), and ppm level of hemin. The catalytic concentration of hemin is employed to enhance hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)/Asc acid redox initiation, achieving rapid RAFT polymerization. Narrow molecular weight distributions and high monomer conversion (Ð as low as 1.09 at >95% conversion) are achieved within tens of minutes. Several kinds of monomers are used to verify the universal implication of the presented method. The influences of the pH and feed ratio of each component on the polymerization rate are assessed. Besides, a polymerization rate regulation is realized by managing Asc acid addition. This work significantly increases the rate of redox‐initiated GOx‐deoxygen RAFT polymerization by using simple and green reactants, facilitating the application of RAFT polymerization in areas such as biomedical applications. Objective. This study aims to analyze the expressions of miR-21, miR-29, and miR-199 in the serum of the patients with H-type hypertension among Kazakhs. Then, we analyzed the effect of MTHFR 677C > T polymorphism on the association between the above miRNA and H-type hypertension. Method. In this study, the expression of miR-21, miR-29, and miR-199 was quantitatively measured in 120 serum samples and then stratified according to the C677T polymorphism to analyze the relationship between target miRNAs and HHcy. Results. The expression of miR-21/-29 in the hypertension group was higher than the normal group (P < 0.001). And the expression of miR-199 was higher in the hcy group than in the normal group (P < 0.001). In the CC and CT genotypes of MTHFR 677C > T, the expression of miR-21 was lower in the HHcy patients than in the normal individuals (P = 0.005 and P = 0.001) and miR-199 was significantly higher in the HHcy patients than in the normal ones (P = 0.002 and P = 0.048). No such difference was found in the TT genotype. Logistic regression analysis showed that after adjusting for sex, age, BMI, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and MTHFRC677 T gene polymorphism, miR-21 was negatively correlated with hcy (OR = 0.222, 95% CI (0.101–0.485), P < 0.001) and miR-199 was positively correlated with hcy (OR = 1.823,95%CI (1.272∼2.614), P = 0.001). Conclusion. miR-21, miR-29, and miR-199 are associated with H-type hypertension in the Kazakhs, especially hyperhomocysteinemia. 34. Decomposition of China's regional carbon emission paths: an analysis of environmental input and output considering regional development differences.

At present, the imbalance in regional development and carbon emissions are the two major challenges that China faces in terms of achieving high-quality development. This paper takes regional development differences as the starting point. First, we adopt the improved CRITIC method to measure the comprehensive development level of 30 regions in China and use K-means clustering to divide the 30 regions into five development levels. Second, the structural path analysis for environmental input–output analysis (EIOA-SPA) model is used to quantify the transfer of carbon emissions between sectors in various regions. Finally, a comprehensive analysis is performed based on the development characteristics of each region and the decomposition results of the carbon emission paths. Then, more precise carbon emission reduction strategies are proposed for the development of different regions in China. The results show that first, the development gap between regions in China has improved, and the development of the central and western regions has achieved remarkable results. However, differences between the north and the south and the gap between coastal and inland regions still exist. Second, the direct carbon emissions of regions with different levels of development are mainly derived from high energy-consuming sectors, especially the production and supply of electricity and heat sector. Third, there are certain differences in the indirect carbon emission pathways of regions with different development levels. The transportation, storage, and postal sector in high developed regions have obvious driving effects on carbon emissions. The building sector plays a prominent role in driving carbon emissions in high developed regions and medium–high developed regions. The building sector, nonmetallic mineral products sector, metal smelting sector, and rolled processed product sector in medium developed regions and medium–low developed regions have relatively high carbon emission-stimulating effects. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt differentiated emission reduction strategies for regions with different development levels in China to achieve adequate carbon emission reductions. To isolate a novel peptide with calcium-binding capacity, sheep bone protein was hydrolyzed sequentially using a dual-enzyme system (alcalase treatment following neutrase treatment) and investigated for its characteristics, separation, purification, and structure. The sheep bone protein hydrolysate (SBPH) was enriched in key amino acids such as Gly, Arg, Pro, Leu, Lys, Glu, Val, and Asp. The fluorescence spectra, circular dichroism spectra, and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy results showed that adding calcium ions decreased the α-helix and β-sheet content but significantly increased the random and β-turn content (p < 0.05). Carboxyl oxygen and amino nitrogen atoms of SBPH may participate in peptide–calcium binding. Scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectrometry results showed that SBPH had strong calcium-chelating ability and that the peptide–calcium complex (SBPH–Ca) combined with calcium to form a spherical cluster structure. SBPH was separated and purified gradually by ultrafiltration, gel filtration chromatography, and reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography. Liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization/mass spectrometry identified the amino acid sequences as GPSGLPGERG (925.46 Da) and GAPGKDGVRG (912.48 Da), with calcium-binding capacities of 89.76 ± 0.19% and 88.26 ± 0.25%, respectively. Beef jerky is a traditional fermented meat product from Inner Mongolia, handcrafted by artisans. We investigated the bacteria of the microbial community, volatile flavor components, and biogenic amines of Inner Mongolia beef jerky via high-throughput sequencing, solid-phase microextraction with gas chromatography–mass spectrometry, and high-performance liquid chromatography, respectively. Thirty-three bacteria were identified, predominantly from the genera Pseudomonas (45.4%), Ralstonia (13.4%), and Acinetobacter (7.3%). Fifty-nine volatile flavor compounds and eight biogenic amines were detected. Based on Spearman's correlation coefficient, 20 bacterial genera were significantly associated with the dominant volatile compounds in the beef jerky samples (p < 0.05). The results demonstrated that beef jerky may be toxic due to cadaverine, putrescine, and histamine; moreover, the amounts of putrescine and cadaverine were positively correlated with the abundance of unclassified_f_Enterobacteriaceae (p < 0.05). These findings shed light on the formation of the microbial community, flavor components, and biogenic amines of beef jerky, thereby providing a basis for improving its quality. This study compares five types of lamb jerky, namely, CO (without starter culture), PL-4 (with producing putrescine, cadaverine, histamine, and tyramine), BL4-8 (degrading putrescine, cadaverine, histamine, and tyramine), CL4-3 (degrading putrescine and tyramine), and X3-2B (degrading histamine and tyramine). A study was performed to examine the effects of starter culture on the physical–chemical quality, flavor, and biogenic amines (BAs) during fermentation and ripening. At the end of fermentation, the pH value of the BL4-8 group (4.75) was significantly lower than that of other groups (p < 0.05). After high-temperature roasting, the water activity (0.55), water content (22.6%), nitrite residue (0.41 mg/kg), and TBARS value (0.27 mg/100 g) of the X3-2B group were significantly lower than those of other groups (p < 0.05). The findings show that adding starter BL4-8, CL4-3, and X3-2B can increase the variety and content of flavor in the product. The levels of histamine, putrescine, and tyramine were significantly lower in the BL4-8, CL4-3, and X3-2B groups than in CO and PL-4 groups. This study shows that BL4-8, CL4-3, and X3-2B are potential starters for fermented meat products. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Flexible strain sensors are attracting enormous attention due to their high stretchability and sensitivity that are required for wearable devices and electronic skin. However, diverse application environments require materials whose hardness can be adjusted to satisfy different demands. Herein, we developed a synergistic dual network hydrogel PANI-P(AAm-co-AA)@Fe
3+ composed of an iron-coordinated poly(acrylamide-co-acrylic acid) network and a conductive polyaniline network with adjustable mechanical properties and high sensitivity. Through controlling the degree of protonation, the cross-linking density will be changed and the mechanical properties of PANI-P(AAm-co-AA)@Fe3+ can be regulated in a wide range (ultimate tensile stress: 0.0710–0.3054 MPa) (fracture strain: 145–880%). Besides, the host–guest interaction between β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) and polyaniline improves the compatibility of polyaniline in a hydrogel substance and leads to the formation of homogenous interpenetrating networks, which provide PANI-P(AAm-co-AA)@Fe3+ with outstanding and steady conductivity (2.03–3.67 S m−1 ). Furthermore, PANI-P(AAm-co-AA)@Fe3+ exhibits highly linear sensitivity, a wide working region (gauge factor = 0.48 at 0–400% strain) and excellent durability (300 cycles). A strain sensor based on this hydrogel can detect not only large movements such as bending fingers and wrists but also delicate movements such as swallowing and a pulse, indicating its enormous potential in wearable devices, human health monitoring, electronic skin, human–machine interactions and so on. The objective of this study is to systematically evaluate the diagnostic performance of the Vesical Imaging–Reporting and Data System for predicting muscle‐invasive bladder cancer. Embase, PubMed and Web of Science were systematically searched from 1 September 2018 to 30 July 2021 to include proper studies. We included studies that included data on Vesical Imaging–Reporting and Data System and their associated pathological findings, and we assessed their quality using the Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies‐2 tool. The pooled sensitivity and specificity were calculated and plotted using hierarchical summary receiver operating characterisijutic modeling. Meta‐regression analysis was carried out to detect heterogeneity. A total of 20 studies with 2725 patients were included. When the cut‐off point was 3, the pooled sensitivity and specificity were 0.92 (0.89–0.94) and 0.85 (0.78–0.90), respectively, and 0.82 (0.75–0.88) and 0.95 (0.91–0.97), respectively, when the cut‐off point was 4. The area under the curve was 0.95 and 0.95, respectively. Heterogeneity was substantially considerable in sensitivity and specificity. All subgroup variables, including patient number, study design, magnetic resonance imaging field strength, number of radiologists, surgery pattern, diffusion‐weighted imaging, and dynamic contrast‐enhanced magnetic resonance imaging, contributed to sensitivity heterogeneity when the cut‐off point was 3 and specificity heterogeneity when the cut‐off point was 4. Multiple image acquisition plane of diffusion‐weighted imaging achieved a higher sensitivity than single image acquisition plane of diffusion‐weighted imaging in both the Vesical Imaging–Reporting and Data System 3 and 4 groups, and higher specificity in the Vesical Imaging–Reporting and Data System 4 group. Another significant source of heterogeneity was the cut‐off point. The diagnostic performance of the Vesical Imaging–Reporting and Data System for predicting muscle‐invasive bladder cancer was excellent in both cut‐off points of the Vesical Imaging–Reporting and Data System 3 and 4. The study aimed to evaluate the effects of Allium mongolicum Regel (AMR) and its water‐ and fat‐soluble extracts on the quality of fermented mutton sausages. Sausages were produced with mutton and fat. Four treatments: CO, without Allium mongolicum Regel and its extracts, used as control; AMR with Allium mongolicum Regel; AWE with water‐soluble extract of Allium mongolicum Regel; and AFE with liposoluble extract from Allium mongolicum Regel, were produced and analyzed for pH, water activity (aw), free amino acids, fatty acids, and volatiles were, respectively, in fermented mutton sausages during processing (0, 2, 5, and 7 days). The results showed that the pH values of the liposoluble extract from Allium mongolicum Regel (AFE), respectively, are lower than that of sample CO at the end of fermentation and ripening. The aw in all group of sausages significantly dropped to 0.88 at the end of ripening (Day 7). Adding Allium mongolicum Regel and its water‐soluble extract can improve the serine (SER) content of fermented mutton sausage. The contents of five essential amino acids (EAA) were added when adding Allium mongolicum Regel and its fat‐soluble extract. The total fatty acid (TFA) in the treatments increased during drying and ripening. The addition of Allium mongolicum Regel and its extract can increase the content of volatile flavor substances such as 3‐hydroxy‐2‐butanone, 3‐methylbutyraldehyde, hexanal, octanal, and nonanal at the later stage of maturity, so as to improve the flavor substances in fermented mutton sausage. Water‐soluble extract of Allium mongolicum Regel (AWE) and AFE treatments had more intense flavor at the end of ripening (Day 7). In this paper, we are concerned with a reaction-diffusion SIS epidemic model with saturated incidence rate, linear source and spontaneous infection mechanism. We derive the uniform bounds of parabolic system and obtain the global asymptotic stability of the constant steady state in a homogeneous environment. Moreover, the existence of the positive steady state is established. We mainly analyze the effects of diffusion, saturation and spontaneous infection on the asymptotic profiles of the steady state. These results show that the linear source and spontaneous infection can enhance the persistence of an infectious disease. Our mathematical approach is based on topological degree theory, singular perturbation technique, the comparison principles for elliptic equations and various elliptic estimates. MXene is recognized as an ideal material for sensitive wearable strain sensors because of its unique advantages of conductivity, hydrophilicity and mechanical properties. However, conventional hydrogel sensors utilizing MXene as a conductive material inevitably encounter the excessive accumulation of MXene nanosheets during the process of synthesis, which limits the electron transmission, reduces the conductivity, and concurrently weakens the mechanical capability and sensitivity of sensors. Herein, we construct a dispersion-enhanced MXene hydrogel (DEMH) through a chitosan-induced self-assembly strategy for the first time. Charge transfer is carried out through the flow of a material or a collection of material microstructures, and thus the highly interconnected 3D MXene@Chitosan network provides fast transport channels for electrons, and the DEMH exhibits excellent conductivity and sensibility simultaneously. Besides, the electrostatic self-assembly between MXene and chitosan, and the supramolecular interactions between MXene, chitosan and polyacrylamide chain segment result in excellent mechanical strength (of up to 1900%) and flexibility of DEMH. Furthermore, the introduction of chitosan which possesses a high density of positively charged groups and MXene with semiconducting properties also endows sensor versatility, such as self-adhesion properties and antibacterial activity. This work develops a simple and cut-price strategy for combining MXene unaggregated into a hydrogel as a sensor with high conductivity, sensibility and flexibility. A simple and inexpensive strategy for avoiding self-stacking of two-dimensional conductive materials is proposed, which paves the way for a broad range of applications in electronic skin, human motion detection and intelligent devices. Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) accounts for 90% of breast cancer-associated mortality. Neuropilin-1 (NRP-1) acts as a non-tyrosine kinase receptor for several cellular signaling pathways involved in the proliferation and metastasis of cancer cells. However, the miRNAs that regulate NRP-1 expression and the underlying mechanisms in TNBC cells remain unclear. In the present study, we found that TNBC cells expressed higher levels of NRP-1 than non-TNBC cells. Stable transfectants depleted of NRP-1 were generated from two TNBC cell lines, human MDA-MB-231 and mouse 4T1 cells. NRP-1 depletion significantly suppressed the proliferation of TNBC cells by arresting the cell cycle at phase G0/G1 by upregulating p27 and downregulating cyclin E and cyclin-dependent kinase 2. NRP-1 depletion also repressed cell migration and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) by inducing the upregulation of E-cadherin and the downregulation of N-cadherin, matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-2 and MMP-9, and reducing MMP-2 and MMP-9 activities as detected by gelatin zymography assay. By applying multiple miRNA-target prediction tools, we screened potential miRNAs with binding sites with the 3'-untranslated region of the NRP-1 gene and selected 12 miRNA candidates, among which miR-124-3p displayed the most vigorous activity to downregulate NRP-1 as validated by luciferase assay and miRNA transfection assay. By downregulating NRP-1, miR-124-3p mimics inhibited the proliferation, migration, and invasion of TNBC cells, and antagomiR-124-3p could partially abolish the effects of NRP-1 depletion. In the animal experiments, NRP-1 depletion inhibited tumorigenesis and liver metastasis of TNBC cells, while miR-124-3p mimics inhibited the growth of established TNBC tumors. In the mechanistic exploration, we revealed that NRP-1 co-interacted with transforming growth factor (TGF)-β to activate the TGF-β pathway, which regulates EMT-related molecules. - Abstract
A thin coating layer between the cathode active materials (CAMs) and solid electrolytes (SEs) is indispensable for alleviating the reaction at the CAM/SE interface and thereby enhancing the reversible capacity of all-solid-state Li-ion batteries (ASSLIBs). It is well established that the interfacial resistance in the CAM/coating layer/SE is sensitive to post-annealing processes. However, the underlying mechanism remains unclear; the influence of the electrochemical/physicochemical phenomena on capacity degradation, particularly the impact of the annealing temperature, has not been adequately elucidated. Herein, we applied various annealing temperatures to LiNbO
3 -coated LiCoO2 (LNO-coated LCO) particles, and initially adopted a double-coating method to investigate the behaviour of the LCO/LNO/Li10 GeP2 S12 interfaces. We observed that the electronic conductivity of LNO-coated LCO increased with increasing annealing temperature, presumably because of the LNO segregation at the LCO surface and Co diffusion to the LNO layer, both of which occurred during the dynamic LNO phase change from amorphous (350 °C annealed state) to crystalline (700 °C annealed state). The increased electronic conductivity triggers the interfacial reaction between the LNO layer and Li10 GeP2 S12 , which is the primary cause of reversible capacity loss, whereas the ionic conductivity in LNO has minimal effect on the reversible capacity at low C-rates. This study highlights the importance of having a suitable electronic conductivity in the coating layer to improve the performance of bulk-type ASSLIBs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

The biogenic amines (BAs), water activity, pH, thiobarbituric acid‐reactive substances (TBARS), and nitrite were, respectively, tested in dry fermented sausage with starter cultures (37x‐6 Lactobacillus plantarum, x3‐3b L. plantarum, 30x‐11 Staphylococcuspentosans, and 37x‐8 S. pentosans), during storage of room temperature (20°C) and refrigeration storage (4°C). Tryptamine (TRM), 2‐phenylethylamine (PHE), putrescine (PUT), cadaverine (CAD), histamine (HIM), and tyramine (TYM) contents of all samples were increased storage at 20°C, and the content of TRM, PUT, CAD, and HIM of all samples storage at 20°C was higher than that storage at 4°C after 42 days. The content of BA with 37x‐6, x3‐3b, and 37x‐8 was obviously decreased at 4°C storage. The storage temperature has a significant effect on BA content (p <.05) for TYM and other BAs tested. Finally, x3‐3b, 37x‐6, and 37x‐8 should be used to produce fermented sausages on the basis of the concentration of BAs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
