This paper aims to investigate whether ambient scent in coffee chains affects the taste perceptions of customers who consume the products of those chains. The paper highlights the importance of smell in creating memorable experiences and its role in arousing customers. It also mentions the olfactory system's vital functions in warning and protection, eating behavior, and social communication. The use of ambient scent enhances the memorability of brand-related olfactory information. The paper mentions that taste evaluation involves both objective and subjective processes. Biological preferences and existing information can influence taste perceptions. Positive sensory experiences lead to positive attitudes and increased consumption, while negative experiences can have the opposite effect. The paper also emphasizes the connection between smell and taste, with smell responsible for a significant portion of our taste. The coffeehouse's ambiance and coffee scent can influence taste and consumer choices. The sample covers data collected from 578 participants via the convenience sampling method. Overall, the paper provides insights into the impact of smell and taste evaluation mediated by customer loyalty in the context of coffeehouse chains. The study is also thought to inspire future research on senses other than smell and taste in sensory marketing, thereby providing practical implications for businesses in the field. This study examines the relationship between the online labour force and some real economic factors. Since the online labour index is one of the main determinants of the GIG economy (the economy consist of online workers and freelancers), this study also reveals which macroeconomic variables the GIG economy is based on. The aim of the study is to determine the effect of some real economic factors (unemployment, economic growth, inflation) on the count of online platform users. As a result of the econometric analysis conducted with Turkey's data set for the period of June 2017 - January 2021, it has been determined that real economic factors have a statistically significant effect on the count of online platform users. According to the results of the analysis, the increase in unemployment rate and economic growth rate will cause an increase in the count of online platform users, while increase in inflation rate cause an opposite effect. The analysis and field programmable gate arrays (FPGA) implementation of a resistive-capacitive-inductive shunted Josephson junction (RCLSJJ) circuit with topologically nontrivial barrier (TNB) are investigated in this paper. The stability analysis of the equilibrium points reveals the presence of a Pitchfork bifurcation. RCLSJJ circuit with TNB can change the spiking, bursting and relaxation oscillations to an excitable mode. The numerical simulations results also point out the existence of periodic attractors and different shapes of hidden chaotic attractors in RCLSJJ circuit with TNB. The FPGA of RCLSJJ circuit with TNB is implemented to ascertain the numerical simulations results. Finally, the dual entropy core (DEC) true random number generator (TRNG) application using Dormand–Prince based on RCLSJJ circuit with TNB and ring oscillators is implemented on FPGA. By synthesizing DEC TRNG for Xilinx XC7VX485T-2-FFG1761 FPGA chip, 1 Mbit number stream obtained from the design is analyzed using NIST-800-22 test suite and this bit stream acquired from the proposed structure is successfully passed all of the randomness tests. Biomedical applications are one of the important research areas of recent years. One of these fields of study is biomedical signals. In this study, the Normal Sinus Rhythm and three arrhythmic ECG signals (Ventricular Tachycardia, Ventricular Paced and Atrial Flutter), one of the vital sign signals, were designed and implemented to work on FPGA chips using the Xilinx-Vivado program with VHDL. Matlab-based ECG signals were taken as a reference and compared with the results obtained from the FPGA-based ECG signals design. Then, the structure used in the design and the test results obtained from the study have been presented. The designed ECG signals were synthesized for the Zynq-7000 XC7Z020 FPGA and observed from the oscilloscope using the 14- channel AN9767 DA module. FPGA chip resource consumption values obtained after the Place- Route process are presented. According to the results, the maximum operating frequency of Normal Sinus Rhythm and Ventricular tachycardia signals on the FPGA was 657.614 MHz and the maximum operating frequency of the Ventricular Paced and Atrial Flutter signals on the FPGA was 651.827 MHz. The maximum MSE value obtained from FPGA-based ECG signal design is 1.2319E-02. In this study, it has been shown that the FPGA-based ECG signal generation system, which is implemented as hardware, can be designed using FPGA chips and can be safely used in biomedical calibration applications. Catalytic applications are widely used in industrial and individual applications today due to their many advantages, especially the energy and time they provide. For this purpose, many coordination compounds have been synthesized, and their catalytic performances have been investigated in recent years. In this study, the Schiff base ligand, (N,N’-bis(2-hydroxy-3- methoxyphenylmethylidene)-2,6-pyridinediamine, BHMP), was synthesized with 2,6- diaminopyridine with o-vanillin. Mn(II), Mn(III), Co(II), Zn(II) complexes were obtained with the synthesized ligand. Spectroscopic methods such as FT-IR, 1H-NMR, UV-vis, Mass, and melting point determination methods were used for the structure elucidation of the synthesized compounds. The performances of the obtained complexes as bleach catalysts, which are an important application area of Schiff base complexes, were investigated. According to the bleaching measurement results, the highest catalytic effect on the bleaching performance of H2O2 in pH 10.5 buffer at 25 °C under homogeneous conditions was obtained with Co(II) complex. In this work, LQR method is proposed for controlling and synchronizing newly developed chaotic system. The developed 4-D chaotic system has been investigated via time series, phase portraits and bifurcation diagrams. Calculation of the gain of linear control has been designed by LQR method, which is an optimal control method. For understanding active controller's impact on global asymptotic stability of synchronization and control errors, the Lyapunov function has been used. Numerical analyses have demonstrated to reveal the effectiveness of the applied active control method and the results have been discussed. Besides, the new chaotic system has been modeled utilizing FFANN architecture. As a result, the output response of FFANN converges to the real output response of 4-D new chaotic system obtained using Dormand–Prince numerical algorithm. The obtained good results make the hardware design in efficient manner. It has been performed using the network parameters from FFANN structure on FPGA in VHDL. The performed design can be used with high clock frequencies up to 166.3 MHz. In addition, PRNG has been implemented and synthesized using FFANN-based chaotic oscillator for Xilinx Virtex-6 FPGA chip. The output rate of the designed FFANN-based PRNG is 166.3 Mbps. Purpose: The purpose of this exhaustive experimental study is to investigate the fluid-structure interaction in the flexible membrane wings over a range of angles of attack for various Reynolds numbers. Design/methodology/approach: In this paper, an experimental study on fluid-structure interaction of flexible membrane wings was presented at Reynolds numbers of 2.5 × 104, 5 × 104 and 7.5 × 104. In the experimental studies, flow visualization, velocity and deformation measurements for flexible membrane wings were performed by the smoke-wire technique, multichannel constant temperature anemometer and digital image correlation system, respectively. All experimental results were combined and fluid-structure interaction was discussed. Findings: In the flexible wings with the higher aspect ratio, higher vibration modes were noticed because the leading-edge separation was dominant at lower angles of attack. As both Reynolds number and the aspect ratio increased, the maximum membrane deformations increased and the vibrations became visible, secondary vibration modes were observed with growing the leading-edge vortices at moderate angles of attack. Moreover, in the graphs of the spectral analysis of the membrane displacement and the velocity; the dominant frequencies coincided because of the interaction of the flow over the wings and the membrane deformations. Originality/value: Unlike available literature, obtained results were presented comparatively using the sketches of the smoke-wire photographs with deformation measurement or turbulence statistics from the velocity measurements. Chaos is one of the important research areas in recent years. The chaotic signal generator is one of the most basic structure in the chaos-based researches and applications. In this study, Sundarapandian-Pehlivan Chaotic Oscillator (SPCO) designs have been implemented in 2 different platforms as analog-based using Second-Generation Current Controlled Current Conveyor (CCII) and FPGA-based with one of the chaotic oscillator that has been presented to the literature namely Sundarapandian-Pehlivan system. The structure used for the design of CCII-based chaotic oscillator and the results obtained from the study have been presented. In the second phase, the design of SPCO has been realized in order to utilize for running in FPGA chips using Dormand-Prince (DP) numeric algorithm. The design has been coded in VHDL using 32-bit IEEE-754-1985 floating point representation. The designed system has been tested by synthesizing it in Xilinx ISE Design Tools program. Then, the test results obtained from DP-based SPCO structure have been presented. In the last phase, the designed system has been synthesized for VIRTEX-7 FPGA. FPGA chip resource consumption values that obtained after the Place-Route process are presented. According to the results, the maximum operating frequency of DP-based SPCO unit on FPGA is obtained as 362.608 MHz. In future studies, the designs of Pseudo Random Number Generator (RNG) and True RNG can be performed using DP-based SPCO unit implemented successfully in this study. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper presents a novel, real time, high speed and robust chaos-based pseudo random number generator (PRNG) design using the structures of artificial neural network (ANN)-based 2D chaotic oscillator and ring oscillator. In this study, four different robust PRNGs have been implemented using four different approaches (TS-55, Elliott-93, Elliott-2, Cordic-LUT) of TanSig activation functions (TSAF) that have been used in the design of ANN-based 2D chaotic oscillators. The designs have been coded in VHDL using IEEE-754–1985 number standard. The PRNGs have been synthesized for Virtex-6 FPGA chip using Xilinx ISE Design Tools. After Place&Route operation, FPGA chip statistics and maximum operating frequencies have been presented. The maximum operating frequencies of the proposed PRNGs range between 184 and 241 MHz. The 1 Mbit of bit streams generated by PRNGs have been subjected to NIST-800–22 randomness tests. Among 4 different proposed PRNGs, the proposed PRNGs that designed using the Elliott-93 and Cordic-LUT approaches have successfully passed all NIST-800–22 tests and have a bit production rate of 241 Mbps. The proposed secure hybrid chaos-based PRNG structures were compared with similar studies conducted in the literature in recent years. This paper presents a novel simple 4-D dissipative autonomous hyperchaotic system with a saddle-point index-2 equilibrium point. The dynamics of the new system consists of nine terms with two nonlinear terms. Thus, the proposed system is one of the simplest 4-D hyperchaotic systems. The new system also shows multistability behavior for some range of its parameters. Bifurcation diagrams, Lyapunov spectrum, Kaplan–Yorke dimension, and phase plots are used to analyze the complex dynamical behavior of the system. The discrete-time equivalent of the presented hyperchaotic system is made by using the Euler algorithm for improving the embedded chaos-based engineering applications on FPGA. Then, the design of a novel TRNG having chaotic entropy seed has been performed utilizing FPGA-based 4-D hyperchaotic system structure. The Euler-based model in the creation phase on FPGA has been described using VHDL with 32-bit IEEE 754-1985 floating-point format. The designed hyperchaotic system and TRNG unit have been synthesized using Xilinx ISE Design Tools, and chip statistics obtained from place-and-route process have been presented by testing in the Virtex-6 FPGA chip of Xilinx family. The numbers generated in high data rates of 185.447 Mbit/s have been obtained with 370.894 MHz clock frequency for the implementation of the novel TRNG unit. In this paper, a novel chaos-ring based dual entropy core TRNG architecture on FPGA with high operating frequency and high throughput has been performed and presented. The design of dual entropy core TRNG has been generated by uniting the chaotic system-based RNG and the RO-based RNG structures on FPGA. The chaotic oscillator structure as the basic entropy source has been implemented in VHDL using Euler numerical algorithm in 32-bit IQ-Math fixed point number standart on FPGA. The designed chaotic oscillator has been synthesized for the FPGA chip and the statistics related to chip resource consumption and clock frequencies of the units have been presented. The RO-based RNG structure has been designed as the second entropy source. Chaos-ring based dual entropy core novel TRNG unit have been created by combining of these two FPGA-based structures in the XOR function used at the post processing unit. The throughput of the designed dual entropy core TRNG unit ranges 464 Mbps. The output bit streams obtained from FPGA-based novel TRNG have been subjected to NIST 800-22 test suites. Recent developments in the applications of neural networks in various engineering and technology applications have motivated researchers to study the nonlinear behavior of such networks. In this work we investigate a fractional-order Hopfield neural network with memristor synaptic weight. The dynamical properties of the proposed system are examined and the memristor neural network shows hyperchaotic attractors in fractional orders with hidden oscillations. We also propose an adaptive sliding mode control technique to synchronize the proposed fractional-order systems with uncertainties. Numerical simulations are derived to show the effectiveness of the synchronization algorithm. Moreover, the designed chaotic memristor Hopfield neural network system is realized on FPGA using the 4th-order Runge–Kutta (RK4) numerical algorithm. The FPGA-based chaotic memristor HNN is coded in VHDL using the 32-bit IEEE-754-1985 floating point standard. The chaotic memristor neural network designed on FPGA is synthesized and tested using Xilinx ISE. The chip statistics of Xilinx XC6VLX240T-1-FF1156 kit obtained from Place & Route operation for the designed RK4-based system is presented. Summary: It is well observed that cryptographic applications have great challenges in guaranteeing high security as well as high throughput. Artificial neural network (ANN)–based chaotic true random number generator (TRNG) structure has not been unprecedented in current literature. This paper provides a novel type of high‐speed TRNG based on chaos and ANN implemented in a Xilinx field‐programmable gate array (FPGA) chip. The paper consists of two main parts. In the first part, chaos analyses of Pehlivan‐Uyaroglu_2010 chaotic system (PUCS) have been accomplished to prove that PUCS operates in chaotic regime. So PUCS can be an efficient alternative to the entropy source for classical TRNGs. In the second part, the hardware design of the proposed TRNG has been created using VHDL in Xilinx platform. As a result, the implemented TRNG offers throughput up to 115.794 Mbps. Besides, the generated random numbers have been tested with the FIPS 140‐1 and NIST 800.22 test suites. The high quality of generated true random numbers have been confirmed by passing all randomness tests. The results have shown that the proposed system can provide not only high throughput but also high quality random bit sequences for a wide variety of embedded cryptographic applications. The innovation of this paper is that it is the first time in literature for any artificial neural network (ANN)–modeled chaotic system to be used in true random number generator (TRNG) implementation on a field‐programmable gate array (FPGA). The proposed TRNG technique is superior to most of the other approaches of our knowledge because of its higher throughput and the success of passing the classical test packages. The reactions of hexachlorocyclotriphosphazatriene, N3P3Cl6 (1) with 2-mercaptoethanol, 2-HS-CH2-CH2-OH (2), in (1:1, 1:2 and 1:3) mole ratios, in excess of NaH, in THF and diethylether solutions yield a total of 6 novel products: one mono spiro, N3P3Cl4[O-CH2-CH2-S] (3); one mono-substituted open chain, N3P3Cl5[S-CH2-CH2-OH] (4); one dispiro, N3P3Cl2[O-CH2-CH2-S]2 (5); one tri-substituted open chain, N3P3Cl3[S-CH2-CH2-OH]3 (6); one tris-spiro, N3P3[O-CH2-CH2-S]3 (7) and one disubstituted open chain, N3P3Cl4[S-CH2-CH2-OH]2 (8) derivatives. The spiro products (3, 5 and 7) are formed as the major products in this system and all of the synthesized compounds are found to be stable at room temperature. The structures of the derived compounds were elucidated by elemental analysis, TLC-MS, 31P and 1H NMR spectral data. This work aims to improve well known generalized averaged models for mathematical modelling of parallel active filter (PAF) with voltage supply. To achieve this task, the method is adopted to generalized state space averaging (GSSA) method. Non-linearity of the system is removed by using GSSA method. Relation between the state variables of the system is expressed by linear equations. An exact and fast approximation of the system parameters is achieved. Non-linearity of real elements that causes many problems such as long execution time, divergence, and huge produced files do not exist thanks to the method. A single phase full-bridge voltage supply inverter is proposed as a parallel active filter. A diode rectifier with RL load is used as a nonlinear load. In this study, simulation results of parallel active filter mathematically modeled with GSSA model are compared to real-time designed simulation results of parallel active filter realized power simulation with PSIM software. Reactions of hexachlorocyclotriphosphazatriene, N3P3Cl6 (1) with 1-amino-2-propanol (2), in (1:1, 1:2 and 1:3) mole ratios, in excess of NaH, in THF and acetonitril solutions yield a total of 6 novel products: one mono-open chain, N3P3Cl5[HN-CH2-CH(CH3)-OH] (3); one monospiro, N3P3Cl4[O-CH(CH3)-CH2-NH] (4); one trans bis-open chain, N3P3Cl4[HNCH2CH( CH3)-OH]2 (5); one dispiro, N3P3Cl2[O-HC(CH3)-CH2-NH]2 (7); one tri-open chain, N3P3Cl3[HN-CH2CH(CH3)-OH]3 (6); and one tri-spiro, N3P3[O-HC(CH3)-CH2-NH]3(8) derivatives. These compounds have interesting structural aspects as well as physical properties. Their structures were established by elemental analysis, TL-MS, 31P and 1H NMR spectral data. Stability constants were determined using a simple potentiometric titration. For evaluation of melting behavior and purity of derivatives (7) and (8), thermal transition peaks and their corresponding enthalpies were determined via DSC technique. In this study, a Cd(II) complex was synthesized using 8-hydroxyquinoline and thiocyanate as the ligands and structurally characterized with the combination of FTIR,1H-NMR,13C-NMR, UV–vis, and MS spectral data. Then, genotoxic effects of the prepared complex were investigated. Genotoxic properties of the dimeric 8-hydroxyquinolinthiocyanatoCd(II) [Cd2(8Q)2(SCN)2] complex synthesized as drug raw material were analyzed in human peripheral blood lymphocytes. Concentrations of 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8 μg/mL [Cd2(8Q)2(SCN)2] were used for 24 and 48  h durations. [Cd2(8Q)2(SCN)2] significantly increased chromosomal aberrations (CAs) at 4, 6, and 8 μg/mL concentrations after a 24- h period and 2 and 4 μg/mL after a 48-h period. [Cd2(8Q)2(SCN)2] significantly decreased the mitotic index (MI) at all concentrations, both at 24 and 48 h. Micronuclei frequency (MN) was not affected by [Cd2(8Q)2(SCN)2] treatment compared with the control. After application for a 48 h period, 6 and 8 μg/mL concentrations showed toxic effects both in chromosomal abnormality and in micronucleus tests. It also decreased the cytokinesis-block proliferation index (CBPI), but this result was statistically significant only at 6 and 8 μg/mL concentrations. In the comet assay (single-cell gel electrophoresis (SCGE)), significant increases in comet tail length, tail moment, and tail intensity were observed at all concentrations. [Cd2(8Q)2(SCN)2] displays clastogenic effect in the concentrations used in human peripheral lymphocytes at chromosomal abnormality, micronucleus tests, and cytokinesis-block proliferation index parameters. Further studies should be conducted in other test systems to evaluate the complete genotoxic potential of [Cd2(8Q)2(SCN)2]. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
