Background: Cardiometabolic multimorbidity (CM) is emerging as a global health challenge. This study investigated the potential impact of muscle strength on the risk of CM in middle-aged and older Chinese adults. Methods: In total, 7610 participants were identified from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS). Muscle strength was measured by absolute, relative grip strength (normalized for body mass index) and chair-rising time which were classified into three categories according to tertiles stratified by gender. Cox proportional hazards models were adopted to evaluate the effect of muscle strength on CM. Results: During follow-up, 235(3.76%) participants from none cardiometabolic diseases (CMD), 140 (19.23%) from diabetes, 119 (21.17%) from heart disease, and 22 (30.56%) from stroke progressed to CM. In participants who had low relative grip strength, CM was more likely to occur in individuals with heart disease at baseline (HR: 1.89, 95%CIs: 1.10 to 3.23). Those with high chair-rising time had a higher risk of CM than those with low chair-rising time in the individuals with diabetes (HR: 1.85, 95%CIs:1.20 to 2.86) and with heart disease (HR: 1.67, 95%CIs:1.04 to 2.70). However, we did not observe an association between muscle strength and CM in participants without CMD or with stroke at baseline. Conclusions: In Chinese middle-aged and older adults, low relative grip strength was associated with a higher risk of CM in individuals with heart disease, while high chair-rising time was associated with a higher risk of CM in individuals with diabetes or heart disease. As China transitions into a deeply aging society, the elderly population's growth has driven a rapid increase in elderly care institutions and facilities during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, rising by over 235% compared to the "12th Five-Year Plan". The ongoing normalization of COVID-19 prevention measures has underscored the urgent need to improve natural ventilation in elderly care residential facilities. This study conducted empirical surveys to assess the current state of natural ventilation in typical elderly care facilities and analyzed the architectural elements influencing it. By examining the needs and preferences of the elderly for natural ventilation, two basic living space layout types were identified through typological analysis. Suitable CFD simulation software was then employed to model key elements, and effective methods to enhance ventilation were summarized. This study found that modifying the floor plan to reduce the depth of south-facing rooms to 8.4 m, relocating external openings to the center of the rooms, adjusting the ratio of ventilation openings to room area to greater than 1/12, and adding 0.5 m high windows facing internal traffic roads can significantly improve indoor ventilation while maintaining privacy. Furthermore, placing the main activity and resting areas of the elderly in well-ventilated zones with minimal drafts can enhance both comfort and ventilation effectiveness. Principal component analysis (PCA) is an important and widely used unsupervised learning method that determines population structure based on genetic variation. Genome sequencing of thousands of individuals usually generate tens of millions of SNPs, making it challenging for PCA analysis and interpretation. Here we present VCF2PCACluster, a simple, fast and memory-efficient tool for Kinship estimation, PCA and clustering analysis, and visualization based on VCF formatted SNPs. We implemented five Kinship estimation methods and three clustering methods for its users to choose from. Moreover, unlike other PCA tools, VCF2PCACluster possesses a clustering function based on PCA result, which enabling users to automatically and clearly know about population structure. We demonstrated the same accuracy but a higher performance of this tool in performing PCA analysis on tens of millions of SNPs compared to another popular PLINK2 software, especially in peak memory usage that is independent of the number of SNPs in VCF2PCACluster. Background: Medium- to high-risk classification-gastrointestinal stromal tumors (MH-GIST) have a high recurrence rate and are difficult to treat. This study aims to predict the recurrence of MH-GIST within 3 years after surgery based on clinical data and preoperative Delta-CT Radiomics modeling. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on clinical imaging data of 242 cases confirmed to have MH-GIST after surgery, including 92 cases of recurrence and 150 cases of normal. The training set and test set were established using a 7:3 ratio and time cutoff point. In the training set, multiple prediction models were established based on clinical data of MH-GIST and the changes in radiomics texture of enhanced computed tomography (CT) at different time periods (Delta-CT radiomics). The area under curve (AUC) values of each model were compared using the Delong test, and the clinical net benefit of the model was tested using decision curve analysis (DCA). Then, the model was externally validated in the test set, and a novel nomogram predicting the recurrence of MH-GIST was finally created. Results: Univariate analysis confirmed that tumor volume, tumor location, neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet lymphocyte ratio (PLR), diabetes, spicy hot pot, CT enhancement mode, and Radscore 1/2 were predictive factors for MH-GIST recurrence (P <.05). The combined model based on these above factors had significantly higher predictive performance (AUC = 0.895, 95% confidence interval [CI] = [0.839-0.937]) than the clinical data model (AUC = 0.735, 95% CI = [0.6 62-0.800]) and radiomics model (AUC = 0.842, 95% CI = [0.779-0.894]). Decision curve analysis also confirmed the higher clinical net benefit of the combined model, and the same results were validated in the test set. The novel nomogram developed based on the combined model helps predict the recurrence of MH-GIST. Conclusions: The nomogram of clinical and Delta-CT radiomics has important clinical value in predicting the recurrence of MH-GIST, providing reliable data reference for its diagnosis, treatment, and clinical decision-making. Background & Aims: Glucose-lowering drug is associated with various cancers, but the causality with gastrointestinal cancer risk is rarely reported. We aimed to explore the causality between them in this Mendelian randomization (MR) study. Methods: Two-sample MR, summary-data-based (SMR), mediation MR, and colocalization analyses was employed. Ten glucose-lowering drug targets (PPARG, DPP4, GLP1R, INSR, SLC5A2, ABCC8, KCNJ11, ETFDH, GPD2, PRKAB1) and seven types of gastrointestinal cancer (anal carcinoma, cardia cancer, gastric cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC), pancreatic cancer, rectum cancer) were included. Patients with gastrointestinal cancers from six different large GWAS databases, including the UK Biobank and Finnish cohorts were incorporated, for discovery and external validation. Meta-analysis was employed to integrate the results from both discovery and validation cohorts, thereby ensuring the reliability of findings. Results: ABCC8/KCNJ11 were associated with pancreatic cancer risk in both two-sample MR (odds ratio (OR): 15.058, per standard deviation unit (SD) change of glucose-lowering durg target perturbation equivalent to 1 SD unit of HbA1c lowering; 95% confidence interval (95% CI): 3.824–59.295; P-value = 0.0001) and SMR (OR: 1.142; 95% CI: 1.013–1.287; P-value = 0.030) analyses. The mediation effect of body mass index (OR: 0.938; 95% CI: 0.884–0.995; proportion of mediation effect: 3.001%; P-value = 0.033) on ABCC8/KCNJ11 and pancreatic cancer was uncovered. Strong connections of DPP4 with anal carcinoma (OR: 0.123; 95% CI: 0.020–0.745; P-value = 0.023) and ICC (OR: 7.733; 95% CI: 1.743–34.310; P-value = 0.007) were detected. PPARG was associated with anal carcinoma (OR: 12.909; 95% CI: 3.217–51.795; P-value = 0.0003), HCC (OR: 36.507; 95% CI: 8.929-149.259; P-value < 0.0001), and pancreatic cancer (OR: 0.110; 95% CI: 0.071–0.172; P-value < 0.0001). SLC5A2 was connected with pancreatic cancer (OR: 8.096; 95% CI: 3.476–18.857; P-value < 0.0001). Weak evidence indicated the connections of GLP1R, GPD2, and PRKAB1 with anal carcinoma, cardia cancer, ICC, and rectum cancer. In addition, the corresponding results were consistently validated in both the validation cohorts and the integrated outcomes. Dendrites and side reactions of Zn anodes severely restrict the application of aqueous Zn‐based batteries for grid‐scale energy storage. While surface/interface modification strategies have shown some progress in improving Zn anode reversibility, they still fall short in addressing the overall regulation and intrinsic mechanisms from the bulk‐phase perspective. Herein, a bulk‐phase composite Zn/CNTs anodes fabricated by a powder‐metallurgy‐based strategy is introduced. Benefiting from the regulation of grain boundary engineering on local electric conductivity, electric field distributions, and Zn atom absorption energy, the Zn/CNTs anodes effectively suppress dendrite growth and enhance corrosion resistance during Zn stripping/plating cycles. Symmetrical cells equipped with Zn/CNT4 anodes exhibit extended cycling stability with minimal voltage hysteresis (only 22 mV). Furthermore, the full cells incorporating Zn/CNT4 with commercial MnO2 demonstrate superior rate performance and specific capacitance retention after 500 h cycling. This breakthrough opens up new avenues for optimizing metallic anodes at the bulk phase level using powder metallurgy, enabling scalable manufacturing processes, and providing valuable insights for various metal anode systems. Aqueous Zn‐based batteries have emerged as compelling candidates for grid‐scale energy storage, owing to their intrinsic safety, remarkable theoretical energy density and cost‐effectiveness. Nonetheless, the dendrite formation, side reactions, and corrosion on anode have overshadowed their practical applications. Herein, we present an in situ grown carbon network reinforcing Zn matrix anode prepared by powder metallurgy. This carbon network provides an uninterrupted internal electron transport pathway and optimize the surface electric field distribution, thereby enabling highly reversible Zn deposition. Consequently, symmetrical cells demonstrate impressive stability, running for over 880 h with a low voltage hysteresis (≈32 mV). Furthermore, this Zn matrix composite anode exhibits enhanced performance in both the aqueous Zn‐ion and the Zn‐air batteries. Notably, Zn//MnO2 cells display superior rate capabilities, while Zn‐air batteries deliver high power density and impressive Zn utilization rate (84.9 %). Purpose: Online collaboration in today's world is a topic of genuine interest to Internet researchers. The purpose of this paper is to explore the role of group knowledge heterogeneity (GKH) in open collaboration performance using the mediating mechanisms of group cognition (GC) and interaction to understand the determinants of the success of online open collaboration platforms. Design/methodology/approach: Study findings are based on partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), the formal mediation test and moderating effect analysis from Wikipedia's 160 online open collaborative groups. Findings: For online knowledge heterogeneous groups, open collaboration performance is mediated by both GC and collaborative interaction (COL). The mediating role of GC is weak, while the mediating role of COL is strengthened when knowledge complexity (KC) is higher. By dividing group interaction into COL and communicative interaction (COM), the authors also observed that COL is effective for online open collaboration, whereas COM is limited. Originality/value: These findings suggest that for more heterogeneous large groups, group interaction would explain more variance in performance than GC, offering an in-depth understanding of the relationship between group heterogeneity and open collaboration performance, answering what determines the success of online open collaboration platforms as well as explaining the inconsistency in prior findings. SO2 emissions have brought serious hidden danger to human health and environmental quality, thus hindering sustainable economic development. The development of high-speed rail indirectly has an important impact on SO2 emissions through its economic effects. Controlling SO2 emissions from the source has increasingly become the focus of many scholars, and it is very important to assess the environmental effects of high-speed rail on SO2 emissions reduction. We use the panel data of 285 cities in China from 2007 to 2017, and adopt the spatial Difference-in-Differences model to study the impact of the opening of high-speed rail on SO2 emissions. We also introduce an improved spatial DID model that distinguishes neighboring treatment groups and neighboring control groups to test the spatial spillover effect of high-speed rail on neighboring heterogeneous samples. We find that the opening of high-speed rail significantly reduces the city's SO2 emissions through the internal accumulation effect of technological innovation and industrial structure optimization and the urban external interaction mechanism of the cross-regional flow of production factors. Moreover, the spatial spillover effect of the opening of high-speed rail on neighboring cities is significantly positive, especially the spatial spillover effect of HSR on SO2 emissions from neighboring cities without HSR. In addition, heterogeneity analysis shows that the effect varies with the different cities' tiers and income levels. These findings are conducive to accurately assessing the environmental effects of high-speed rail, and provide important policy references for achieving sustainable development and reducing SO2 emissions. Main conclusion: Overexpression of JcSEUSS1 resulted in late flowering, reduced flower number, wrinkled kernels, and decreased seed yield in Jatopha curcas, while downregulation of JcSEUSS1 increased flower number and seed production. The seed oil of Jatropha curcas is suitable as an ideal alternative for diesel fuel, yet the seed yield of Jatropha is restricted by its small number of female flowers and low seed setting rate. Therefore, it is crucial to identify genes that regulate flowering and seed set, and hence improve seed yield. In this study, overexpression of JcSEUSS1 resulted in late flowering, fewer flowers and fruits, and smaller fruits and seeds, causing reduced seed production and oil content. In contrast, the downregulation of JcSEUSS1 by RNA interference (RNAi) technology caused an increase in the flower number and seed yield. However, the flowering time, seed number per fruit, seed weight, and size exhibited no obvious changes in JcSEUSS1-RNAi plants. Moreover, the fatty acid composition also changed in JcSEUSS1 overexpression and RNAi plants, the percentage of unsaturated fatty acids (FAs) was increased in overexpression plants, and the saturated FAs were increased in RNAi plants. These results indicate that JcSEUSS1 played a negative role in regulating reproductive growth and worked redundantly with other genes in the regulation of flowering time, seed number per fruit, seed weight, and size. As an integral part of urban forests, urban parks play a vital role in mitigating urban heat islands (UHI) and providing residents with comfortable outdoor recreational plots. For high-quality use of the trees in regulating the thermal comfort of urban parks, previous studies primarily focused on the microclimate variations caused by tree coverage and morphological features separately. However, there is still a lack of systematic understanding of how tree canopy coverage (TCC) and its morphological elements, including leaf area index (LAI), trunk height (TH), and crown diameter (CD), combined affect the thermal comfort in the urban park. This study employed an orthogonal experiment design and ENVI-met software to simulate the microclimate of various multi-factor combination models in the case of a typical urban park in a temperate continental climate zone in China, analyzing the simulated result through physiological equivalent temperature (PET). Results show that the contribution ratio of various elements to the thermal environment vary over time. In studied elements, the contribution ratio of TCC to PET is consistently higher than 50% during the morning, midday, and evening periods, reaching a peak of 67% in the evening. The maximum contribution ratios for CD, TH, and LAI occur during midday, morning, and midday, respectively, with corresponding contribution ratios of approximately 22%, 10%, and 9%, respectively. The ranking of elements affecting thermal comfort in the urban park generally is TCC, CD, LAI, TH throughout the day, apart from the morning, when the influence of TH is greater than LAI. The optimal combination of elements is 85% TCC, 4m TH, 3.9 LAI, and 7m CD, and thirteen combinations of element cases meet the thermal comfort requirements during summer. Scientific and reasonable planning of urban forests is crucial to mitigate the UHI effect and create a comfortable local climate. This study focused on maximizing the synergistic effect of landscape design parameters (i.e., Landscape Shape Index (LSI), Percentage of Green Area (PGA), Park Area (PA), and Percentage of Water Area (PWA)) through orthogonal experimental design and numerical simulation to improve the regulation of the thermal environment of urban parks in the surrounding blocks. For the neighborhood of low-rise buildings, the influence of PGA was the most significant in the morning with a contribution rate of 50.43%, while PWA was the most influential during midday and evening, with contribution rates of 73.02% and 52.30%, respectively. In contrast, PA was the most influential in the morning with a contribution rate of 62.11% for the high-rise building neighborhood, while the impact of PWA was the most significant in the midday with a contribution rate of 43.99%. In addition, the contribution of PA and PWA played vital roles at night. This study proposed combinations of landscape design parameters for urban parks that met the requirements of two types of neighborhoods, which would help guide the planning and construction of urban forests. We propose a realistic film grain rendering algorithm based on statistics derived analytically from a physics-based Boolean model that Newson et al. adopted for Monte Carlo simulations of film grain. We also propose formulas for estimation of the model parameters from scanned film grain images. The proposed rendering is computationally efficient and can be used for real-time film grain simulation for a wide range of film grain parameters when the individual film grains are not visible. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach for both constant and real-world images, for a six orders of magnitude speed-up compared with the Monte Carlo simulations of the Newson et al. approach. Purpose: Observational studies have reported that autoimmune diseases are closely related to sarcopenia, but the causalities of autoimmune diseases with sarcopenia have not been established. We conducted this Mendelian randomization (MR) study to reveal the causal associations of overall autoimmune disease and five common autoimmune diseases with sarcopenia-related traits.Methods: The publicly available summary-level data of autoimmune diseases and three sarcopenia-related traits were used for analysis. The causal effects of autoimmune diseases on sarcopenia-related traits were first identified in discovery samples using the inverse-variance-weighted method as the primary method, and the robustness of results was examined by additional sensitivity analyses. Replication MR analyses were then conducted using replication samples of five autoimmune diseases. Finally, the possibility of reverse causation was assessed by reverse MR analyses.Results: In both the discovery and replication samples, we identified potential causal effects of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) on appendicular lean mass (ALM) and low grip strength (OR = 0.979, 95% CI: 0.964– 0.995 for ALM; OR = 1.042, 95% CI: 1.013– 1.072 for low grip strength), but not on walking pace. We also found that inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and type 1 diabetes (T1D) were only causally negatively associated with ALM in the discovery stage (OR = 0.986, 95% CI: 0.974– 0.999 for IBD; OR = 0.987, 95% CI: 0.975– 0.999 for T1D), whereas systemic lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis, and overall autoimmune disease were not associated with any of the three sarcopenia-related traits. Additionally, reverse MR analysis only found an association between walking pace and overall autoimmune disease, but this association did not remain in the weighted-median method.Conclusion: This study demonstrates that RA is causally associated with low grip strength and reduced ALM, and that IBD and T1D may be causally negatively related to ALM. Background Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a type of emotional dysfunction, and its pathogenesis has not been fully elucidated. Specifically, the key molecules in depression-related brain regions involved in this disease and their contributions to this disease are currently unclear. Methods GSE53987 and GSE54568 were selected from the Gene Expression Omnibus database. The data were standardized to identify the common differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in the cortex of MDD patients in the 2 datasets. The DEGs were subjected to Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway analyses. The STRING database was used to build protein–protein interaction networks, and the cytoHubba plugin was used to identify hub genes. Furthermore, we selected another blood transcriptome dataset that included 161 MDD and 169 control samples to explore the changes in the screened hub genes. Mice were subjected to 4 weeks of chronic unpredictable mild stress to establish an animal model of depression, and the expression of these hub genes in tissues of the prefrontal cortex was then detected by quantitative real time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). We subsequently predicted the possible posttranscriptional regulatory networks and traditional Chinese medicine according to the hub genes using a few online databases. Results The analysis identified 147 upregulated genes and 402 downregulated genes were identified in the cortex of MDD patients compared with that of the controls. Enrichment analyses revealed that DEGs were predominantly enriched in synapse-related cell functions, linoleic acid metabolism, and other pathways. Protein–protein interaction analysis identified 20 hub genes based on the total score. The changes in KDM6B , CUX2 , NAAA , PHKB , NFYA , GTF2H1 , CRK , CCNG2 , ACER3 , and SLC4A2 in the peripheral blood of MDD patients were consistent with those in the brain. Furthermore, the prefrontal cortex of mice with depressive-like behaviors showed significantly increased Kdm6b , Aridb1 , Scaf11 , and Thoc2 expression and decreased Ccng2 expression compared with that of normal mice, which was consistent with the results found for the human brain. Potential therapeutic candidates, such as citron, fructus citri, leaves of Panax Notoginseng , sanchi flower, pseudoginseng, and dan-shen root, were selected via traditional Chinese medicine screening. Conclusions This study identified several novel hub genes in specific brain regions involved in the pathogenesis of MDD, which may not only deepen our understanding of depression but may also provide new ideas for its diagnosis and treatment. Background: The impact of mobile technology usage on student learning in various educational stages has been the subject of ongoing empirical and review research. The most recent meta‐analyses on various types of mobile technology use for potential benefits of learning covered the empirical studies up to about nine years ago. Since then, the use of mobile technology in primary and secondary education has increased tremendously, and numerous empirical studies have been conducted on this topic, but their conclusions were inconsistent. Objectives: The purpose of this systematic review is to re‐examine this issue by meta‐analyzing the empirical research studies from the last nine years, with a focus on cognitive, affective, and behavioral learning outcomes in primary and secondary education, and to examine the potential moderators that may have contributed to the heterogeneity across findings. Methods: Based on our inclusion and exclusion criteria, we found 85 studies of 78 peer‐reviewed papers (N = 9157) from electronic databases and major journals in educational technology and mobile learning between 2014 and 2022. We then examined 15 moderators that were expected to affect student learning outcomes. Results and Conclusions: Compared with traditional technology and non‐technology groups, using mobile technology produced medium positive and statistically significant effects on primary and secondary students' learning, in terms of cognitive (g = 0.498, 95% CI [0.382, 0.614]), affective (g = 0.449, 95% CI [0.301, 0.598]) and behavioural (g = 0.339, 95% CI [0.051, 0.627]) learning outcomes. Further moderator analyses revealed that student factors (i.e., community type, students' socioeconomic status), learning process (i.e., hardware used, student‐to‐hardware ratio, teaching method) and study quality (i.e., learning topic/content equivalence, degree of technology use in the control group) were among the variables that moderated the summary effect sizes for at least one learning outcome dimension significantly. The findings and their implications for researchers, policymakers and practitioners are discussed. Simple Summary: The objective response rate of lenvatinib combined with transarterial chemoembolization for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma is unsatisfactory. We aimed to develop predictive models using demographic characteristics, pre-treatment serum biomarkers and tumor characteristics of unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma patients by five machine learning algorithms to predict the response under combined treatments. We identified the 10 most important predictors, including K, low-density lipoprotein, D-dimer, red blood cell, alanine aminotransferase, albumin, monocyte, tumor size, triglyceride, and age. In addition, we applied the Shapley Additive exPlanation to explain the best-performing random forest predictive model to provide a reasonable explanation of the efficacy prediction at an individualized level. The combination of machine learning and Shapley Additive exPlanation can provide valuable suggestions for clinical decision making. Background: Lenvatinib and transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) are first-line treatments for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), but the objective response rate (ORR) is not satisfactory. We aimed to predict the response to lenvatinib combined with TACE before treatment for unresectable HCC using machine learning (ML) algorithms based on clinical data. Methods: Patients with unresectable HCC receiving the combination therapy of lenvatinib combined with TACE from two medical centers were retrospectively collected from January 2020 to December 2021. The response to the combination therapy was evaluated over the following 4–12 weeks. Five types of ML algorithms were applied to develop the predictive models, including classification and regression tree (CART), adaptive boosting (AdaBoost), extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), random forest (RF), and support vector machine (SVM). The performance of the models was assessed by the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve and area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC). The Shapley Additive exPlanation (SHAP) method was applied to explain the model. Results: A total of 125 unresectable HCC patients were included in the analysis after the inclusion and exclusion criteria, among which 42 (33.6%) patients showed progression disease (PD), 49 (39.2%) showed stable disease (SD), and 34 (27.2%) achieved partial response (PR). The nonresponse group (PD + SD) included 91 patients, while the response group (PR) included 34 patients. The top 40 most important features from all 64 clinical features were selected using the recursive feature elimination (RFE) algorithm to develop the predictive models. The predictive power was satisfactory, with AUCs of 0.74 to 0.91. The SVM model and RF model showed the highest accuracy (86.5%), and the RF model showed the largest AUC (0.91, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.61–0.95). The SHAP summary plot and decision plot illustrated the impact of the top 40 features on the efficacy of the combination therapy, and the SHAP force plot successfully predicted the efficacy at the individualized level. Conclusions: A new predictive model based on clinical data was developed using ML algorithms, which showed favorable performance in predicting the response to lenvatinib combined with TACE for unresectable HCC. Background and Aims: Observational epidemiology studies suggested a relationship between the gut microbiome and primary liver cancer. However, the causal relationship remains unclear because of confounding factors and reverse causality. We aimed to explore the causal role of the gut microbiome in the development of primary liver cancer, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC). Methods: Mendelian randomization (MR) study was conducted using summary statistics from genome‐wide association studies (GWAS) of the gut microbiome and liver cancer, and sequencing data from a case–control study validated the findings. A 5‐cohort GWAS study in Germany (N = 8956) served as exposure, whilst the UK biobank GWAS study (N = 456 348) served as an outcome. The case–control study was conducted at the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University from December 2018 to October 2020 and included 184 HCC patients, 63 ICC patients and 40 healthy controls. Results: A total of 57 features were available for MR analysis, and protective causal associations were identified for Family_Ruminococcaceae (OR = 0.46 [95% CI, 0.26–0.82]; p =.009) and Genus_Porphyromonadaceae (OR = 0.59 [95% CI, 0.42–0.83]; p =.003) with HCC, and for Family_Porphyromonadaceae (OR = 0.36 [95% CI, 0.14–0.94]; p =.036) and Genus_Bacteroidetes (OR = 0.55 [95% CI, 0.34–0.90]; p =.017) with ICC respectively. The case–control study results showed that the healthy controls had a higher relative abundance of Family_Ruminococcaceae (p =.00033), Family_Porphyromonadaceae (p =.0055) and Genus_Bacteroidetes (p =.021) than the liver cancer patients. Conclusions: This study demonstrates that Ruminococcaceae, Porphyromonadaceae and Bacteroidetes are related to a reduced risk of liver cancer (HCC or ICC), suggesting potential significance for the prevention and control of liver cancer. Objective: To explore the impact of artificial-intelligence perceptual learning when performing the ultrasound-guided popliteal sciatic block. Methods: This simulation-based randomized study enrolled residents who underwent ultrasound-guided sciatic nerve block training at the Department of Anesthesiology of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital between January 2022 and February 2022. Residents were randomly divided into a traditional teaching group and an AI teaching group. All residents attended the same nerve block theory courses, while those in the AI teaching group participated in training course using an AI-assisted nerve identification system based on a convolutional neural network instead of traditional training. Results: A total of 40 residents were included. The complication rates of paresthesia during puncture in the first month of clinical sciatic nerve block practice after training were significantly lower in the AI teaching group than in the traditional teaching group [11 (4.12%) vs. 36 (14.06%), P = 0.000093]. The rates of paresthesia/pain during injection were significantly lower in the AI teaching group than in the traditional teaching group [6 (2.25%) vs. 17 (6.64%), P = 0.025]. The Assessment Checklist for Ultrasound-Guided Regional Anesthesia (32 ± 3.8 vs. 29.4 ± 3.9, P = 0.001) and nerve block self-rating scores (7.53 ± 1.62 vs. 6.49 ± 1.85, P < 0.001) were significantly higher in the AI teaching group than in the traditional teaching group. There were no significant differences in the remaining indicators. Conclusion: The inclusion of an AI-assisted nerve identification system based on convolutional neural network as part of the training program for ultrasound-guided sciatic nerve block via the popliteal approach may reduce the incidence of nerve paresthesia and this might be related to improved perceptual learning. Developing efficient catalysts is of paramount importance to oxygen evolution, a sluggish anodic reaction that provides essential electrons and protons for various electrochemical processes, such as hydrogen generation. Here, we report that the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) can be efficiently catalyzed by cobalt tetrahedra, which are stabilized over the surface of a Swedenborgite-type YBCo4O7 material. We reveal that the surface of YBaCo4O7 possesses strong resilience towards structural amorphization during OER, which originates from its distinctive structural evolution toward electrochemical oxidation. The bulk of YBaCo4O7 composes of corner-sharing only CoO4 tetrahedra, which can flexibly alter their positions to accommodate the insertion of interstitial oxygen ions and mediate the stress during the electrochemical oxidation. The density functional theory calculations demonstrate that the OER is efficiently catalyzed by a binuclear active site of dual corner-shared cobalt tetrahedra, which have a coordination number switching between 3 and 4 during the reaction. We expect that the reported active structural motif of dual corner-shared cobalt tetrahedra in this study could enable further development of compounds for catalyzing the OER. Research has often ignored the complex systemic nature of ICT integration in education, including the importance of the historical, social and political context. This study examines the content of local ICT policy plans that have been developed and how school leaders and teachers perceive their experience with ICT practices of rural schools. A mixed-method research approach was applied, involving 25 rural schools in Western China. Data was collected from multiple sources (policy documents, interviews with school leaders, focus groups with teachers, classroom observations, an ICT inventory and a teacher survey). The results revealed three types of challenges for ICT integration in rural schools: (1) guidance and learning opportunities as a political challenge, (2) ICT infrastructure and digital content as a technical challenge, and (3) teacher training and technical support as a human challenge. Background: Postoperative sore throat (POST) is one of the main adverse postoperative outcome after tracheal intubation using double-lumen endobronchial tubes (DLTs). The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness and safety of ultrasound (US)-guided block of the internal branch of the superior laryngeal nerve (iSLN) for alleviating POST after intubation of DLTs. Methods: Patients undergoing thoracic surgery between August 2019 and August 2021 were randomized into two groups depending on whether they received US-guided iSLN block immediately after the operation. In the control group, the patients underwent a thoracic surgery under general anesthesia (GA) with DLTs without any special treatment, while the patients in the experimental group received US-guided iSLN block bilaterally with 2 ml of 0.25% ropivacaine on either side immediately after the operation. The primary outcome was the grading of sore throat at three-time points after the operation, i.e., immediate extubation, 2 h after extubation, and 24 h after extubation. Secondary outcomes included the rate of nausea and vomiting, hoarseness, dyspnea, and choking cough after swallowing saliva at 2 h after extubation. Results: The incidence and severity of sore throat were significantly lower in the experimental group than the control group at all time intervals (all P < 0.01). The rate of nausea and vomiting, hoarseness, dyspnea, and choking cough after swallow saliva at 2 h after extubation had no statistical difference (all P > 0.05). Conclusions: The use of US-guided iSLN block can be effectively and safely applied to relieve POST after intubation of DLTs on thoracic surgery. Global climate change, species invasion, and human activities such as the construction of hydraulic facilities are contributing to the worldwide degradation of fish stocks. As a pivotal environmental factor that affects fish migration and population distribution, the low‐velocity flow has not drawn enough attention despite its extensive presence in various ecoregions.To understand the behavioural profiles of fish in low‐velocity flow, we examined the motility and swimming performance of two representative cyprinids, grass carp (GC, Ctenopharyngodon idella) and silver carp (SC, Hypophthalmichthys molitrix), under the combined effect of different flow velocities and illuminance ranges.The two species were exposed to two flow velocities (0.15 and 0.25 m/s) and three illuminance ranges (100.0–0.9 lx, 300.0–2.5 lx, and 700.0–4.9 lx). A novel behavioural metric, composed of light preference, swimming speed, rheotaxis index (RI), swimming stability (SS), and the probability of moving forwards/backwards over a certain distance (PMf‐0.1 and PMb‐0.1), was developed to fully characterise the motion strategy of fish.By analysing the individual distribution in light gradient, we confirmed the scototaxis of GC and found the oscillating light preference in SC that changed from 84.41–10.18 to 6.00–2.08 lx and disappeared with increasing illuminance. The RI and SS increased at the fast flow velocity (0.25 m/s) for both species, and SC was more forward‐prone and more stable than GC. Despite the fluctuating light preference, the higher illuminances heightened the RI and SS in SC, while in GC, higher illuminances inhibited the SS and had no impact on the RI. The results of PMf‐0.1 and PMb‐0.1 indicated that a higher flow velocity could facilitate the temporary upstream swimming in both species, while illuminance could only promote the same effect in SC.Finally, our study proposed possible manoeuvres in fine‐scale spatio‐temporal scenarios such as attraction flow and non‐traditional passages and provided valuable insights into fish community dynamics, laying the groundwork for alleviating the threat from invasive species and for future fish population recovery. Silicon nanowires are appealing structures to enhance the capacity of anodes in lithium-ion batteries. However, to attain industrial relevance, their synthesis requires a reduced cost. An important part of the cost is devoted to the silicon growth catalyst, usually gold. Here, we replace gold with tin, introduced as low-cost tin oxide nanoparticles, to produce a graphite–silicon nanowire composite as a long-standing anode active material. It is equally important to control the silicon size, as this determines the rate of decay of the anode performance. In this work, we demonstrate how to control the silicon nanowire diameter from 10 to 40 nm by optimizing growth parameters such as the tin loading and the atmosphere in the growth reactor. The best composites, with a rich content of Si close to 30% wt., show a remarkably high initial Coulombic efficiency of 82% for SiNWs 37 nm in diameter. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Porous carbon has attracted great interest as an anode for lithium-ion capacitors (LICs) due to its high lithium-ion storage capacity. However, its low electrical conductivity and tap density are major challenges facing its commercialization. In this study, a low-cost Fe3C@N-doped C material has been synthesized via the polymerization and carbonization of the natural biomass material sodium alginate (SA) and commercial p-Phenylenediamine (PPD). FeCl3 is used as both a crosslinking agent and catalyst to promote the PPD oxidation reaction and the degree of carbonization. The as-obtained graphite-like Fe3C@N-doped C with a carbonization treatment at 700 °C exhibits both high Fe and N contents of 3.93 wt% and 5.34 wt%, respectively, and a high electrical conductivity equivalent to graphite, which would be favorable for lithium-ion storage due to the synergistic effect of the high electrical conductivity and pseudocapacitive characteristics. Moreover, the Fe3C@N-doped C exhibits a superior lithium-ion storage capacity of 566.0 mA h g−1, higher than that of commercial graphite, and a high tap density of 0.59 g cm−3. As the negative electrode for an LIC, the capacitor delivers a high specific energy of 86.6 W h kg−1 at a current density of 0.1 A g−1. Meanwhile, good cyclability has also been achieved for the cell. In phase II oncology trials, two‐stage design allowing early stopping for futility and/or efficacy is frequently used. However, this design based on frequentist statistical approaches could not guarantee a high posterior probability of attending the pre‐specified clinically interesting rate from a Bayesian perspective. Here, we proposed a new Bayesian design enabling early terminating for efficacy as well as futility. In addition to the clinically uninteresting and interesting response rate, a prior distribution of response rate, the minimum posterior threshold probabilities and the lengths of the highest posterior density intervals were specified in the design. Finally, we defined the feasible design with the highest total effective predictive probability. We studied the properties of the proposed design and applied it to an oncology trial as an example. The proposed design ensured that the observed response rate fell within prespecified levels of posterior probability. KOH chemical activation of pores is a very effective method to prepare carbon materials for supercapacitors. In this work, we have explored a facile route to the preparation of porous precursor materials through a solvothermal reaction between p‐phenylenediamine (PDA) and dichloromethane. Their pores provide diffusion paths and spaces for KOH to penetrate into the precursor, resulting in the direct formation of porous carbon materials during the carbonization and activation. This method can effectively avoid the industrial problems such as the large carbon consumption and the low yield in the process of conventional bulk carbon materials by KOH activation from the outside to inside. The resulted porous carbon material achieves a high yield up to 13.0 % with a specific surface area of 3033.5 m2 g−1. A high specific capacitance of 331.5 F g−1 in 1 M H2SO4, 392.3 F g−1 in 6 M KOH and 246.1 F g−1 in 1 M Li2SO4 can be achieved at a scan rate of 2 mV s−1 for the porous carbon. Fresh fruit of Rosa roxburghii Tratt has attracted great interest and is used in many functional products in China. However, fresh fruits are perishable products with quite short shelf lives and few studies have focused on dried fruits. Therefore, this study aimed to explore whether the drying process can be used to preserve bioactive components of R roxburghii fruits by comparing phytochemical profiles and antioxidant activities between fresh and dried fruit. As result, a total of 95 compounds, mainly including organic acids, phenols, and flavonoids, were identified in fresh and dried fruits by using ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole-time of flight mass spectrometry. The relative quantitative result showed that contents of phenols and acylamide were significantly higher (p <.05) in dried fruit. Furthermore, dried fruit showed stronger antioxidant activity by using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging ability and ferric reducing antioxidant power. In this work, the top-down modification method is used to densify wood cell walls. The cell wall was simply compressed. The external force is applied to the delignified wood template by using a press to make the radial thickness of the wood template smaller, and finally, a more compact and uniform wood template with cell wall skeleton is obtained. Then, the resin with similar refractive index to cell wall is vacuum impregnated into the dense wood template, and the transparent compressed wood with high transparency is successfully obtained. The transmittance is increased by 34.1%, the haze decreased by 28.1%, and the transparent effect is more excellent through the cell wall densification of the delignification template. Moreover, the transparent compressed wood has better mechanical properties (maximum tensile strength was 113.75 MPa, Young's modulus was 2.276 GPa) and thermal stability. The method has successfully improved the function and structure of transparent wood, and the highly transparent compressed wood is a new functional material with application potential. FLOWERING LOCUS T (FT) promotes flowering by integrating six genetic pathways. In Arabidopsis , the FT protein is transported from leaves to shoot apices and induces flowering. However, contradictory conclusions about floral induction via graft-transmitted FT in trees were reported in previous studies. We obtained extremely early-flowering transgenic woody Jatropha curcas L. by overexpression of J. curcas FT using Arabidopsis thaliana SUCROSE TRANSPORTER 2 (SUC2) promoter (SUC2 : JcFT) and non-flowering transgenic J. curcas by RNA interference (RNAi), which were used to investigate the function of graft-transmitted JcFT in floral induction in woody perennials. Scions from five wild-type species of the Jatropha genus and from JcFT- RNAi transgenic J. curcas were grafted onto SUC2 : JcFT rootstocks. Most grafted plants produced flowers in 1–2 months, and the flowering percentage and frequency of various grafted plants decreased with increasing scion length. Consistently, FT protein abundance in scions also decreased with increasing distance from graft junctions to the buds. These findings suggest that FT proteins can be transmitted by grafting and can induce the floral transition in woody perennials, and the efficiency of graft-transmitted JcFT for floral induction depends on the scion length, which may help explain previous seemingly contradictory observations regarding floral induction via graft-transmitted FT in trees. Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is an interstitial lung disease characterized by chronic progressive pulmonary fibrosis and a poor prognosis. Genetic studies, including transcriptomic and proteomics, have provided new insight into revealing mechanisms of IPF. Herein we provided a novel strategy to identify biomarkers by integrative analysis of transcriptomic and proteomic profiles of IPF patients. We examined the landscape of IPF patients' gene expression in the transcription and translation phases and investigated the expression and functions of two new potential biomarkers. Differentially expressed (DE) mRNAs were mainly enriched in pathways associated with immune system activities and inflammatory responses, while DE proteins are related to extracellular matrix production and wound repair. The upregulated genes in both phases are associated with wound repair and cell differentiation, while the downregulated genes in both phases are associated with reduced immune activities and the damage of the alveolar tissues. On this basis, we identified thirteen potential marker genes. Among them, we validated the expression changes of butyrophilin-like 9 (BTNL9) and plasmolipin (PLLP) and investigated their functional pathways in the IPF mechanism. Both genes are downregulated in the tissues of IPF patients and Bleomycin-induced mice, and co-expression analysis indicates that they have a protective effect by inhibiting extracellular matrix production and promoting wound repair in alveolar epithelial cells. Abnormality of fear memory is one of the important pathogenic factors leading to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety disorder, and other mental disorders. Clinically, although exposure therapy, which is based on the principle of fear memory extinction, has a certain effect on these diseases, it still relapses frequently in some cases. These troubles can be effectively solved by retrieving the memory in a certain time window before the extinction of fear memory. Therefore, it is generally believed that the extinction of fear memory is the result of forming new safe memory to competitively inhibit the original fear memory, while the retrieval-extinction operation is the updating or erasure of the original fear memory, thus, which has greater clinical therapeutic potential. However, what are the detailed molecular networks, specifically the circular RNAs (circRNAs), involved in fear memory updating, and the differences with fear extinction, are still unknown. In this study, we systematically observed the expression of mRNAs, microRNAs (miRNA), long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), and circRNAs in the basolateral amygdala of mice after fear memory formation, extinction, and updating by whole-transcriptional sequencing, then a variety of inter-group comparison and bioinformatics analysis were used to find the differential expressed RNAs, enrich the function of them, and construct the molecular interaction networks. Moreover, competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) molecular networks and transcriptional regulatory networks for the candidate circRNAs were constructed. Through these analyses, we found that about 10% of molecules were both involved in the fear memory extinction and formation, but the molecules and their signaling pathways were almost completely different between fear memory extinction and updating. This study describes a relatively detailed molecular network for fear memory updating, which might provide some novel directions for further mechanism research, and help to develop a specific physical method for fear memory intervention, based on the regulation of these key molecules. Acoustic telemetry has been used extensively to study the behavior of aquatic animals. The Juvenile Salmon Acoustic Telemetry System (JSATS) is one such system; it was developed for studying juvenile salmonids but has been used to study numerous species. A recent innovation of the JSATS system is an acoustic transmitter that is small enough to be implanted through injection or small incision that doesn't require sutures. Use of the JSATS system involves deploying cabled acoustic receivers at hydroelectric dams, or other structures, and autonomous acoustic receivers in free-flowing sections of a river. The raw detections from acoustic-tagged fish are processed to remove potential false positives. The clean detections (5,147,996 total) are used to generate detection events and to compute 3-D trajectories (403,900 total), which are used to assign fish to a passage route through a dam. Controlled field testing involving a high-accuracy Global Positioning System receiver is done to validate the submeter accuracy of the trajectories. The JSATS dataset could be reused for expanding the understanding of near-dam fish behavior. Research exploring the mechanism of acupuncture has been a hot topic in medicine. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) research is a noninvasive and extensive method, which is aimed at the research of the mechanism of acupuncture. Researchers use fMRI technologies to inspect the acupuncture process. The authors reviewed the application of rs-fMRI in acupuncture research in recent 10 years from the aspects of studying acupoints, subjects, acupuncture methods, and intensities. The results found that the application of rs-fMRI in acupuncture research mainly includes research on the onset mechanism of acupuncture treatment; visual evidence of diagnosis and treatment of dominant diseases; efficacy assessments; physiological mechanism of acupoint stimulation; and specific visualization of acupoints. Purpose: Online knowledge integration has been an important concern of the online knowledge community as it can lead to various positive outcomes of online knowledge coproduction. This paper identifies online knowledge integration factors by considering group heterogeneity and group interaction process. Design/methodology/approach: Based on the categorization-elaboration model (CEM) and interactive team cognition (ITC) theory, a research model that reflects the antecedent's factors and mediating factors of online knowledge integration was developed and empirically examined based on data collected from 2,339,836 data extracted from Wikipedia. Findings: Group interaction process plays an essential mediator role in online knowledge integration. Group knowledge heterogeneity negatively influences online knowledge integration and group experience heterogeneity positively, and they both positively promote online knowledge integration through group interaction process with different paths. Research limitations: Our research concerns the OKC context in one setting (Wikipedia). We expect that the results will generalize to other OKC platforms. Practical implications: The findings of the study could assist the online knowledge community's organizers to understand the motivational mechanisms of online knowledge integration. Group interaction process could be regarded as the key role to promote group wisdom and maintain group independence. Social implications: We advance the understanding of the online knowledge integration and gain a richer understanding of the importance of group interaction independence for online knowledge integration based on the agreement of group wisdom. It suggested keeping group interaction independence is an important aspect for highly online knowledge integration among heterogeneity groups. Selective hydrogenation of lignocellulosic biomass-derived chemicals is of great importance for future energy and chemical supply. So far formic acid is considered as one of the most promising materials for hydrogen storage. Herein, we report a novel pathway for the hydrogenation of Levogluosenone (LGO), a biorenewable platform chemical, to dihydrolevoglucosenone (Cyrene) and levoglucosanol (Lgol) using formic acid as a hydrogen source. Testing with typical hydrogenation catalysts indicated the crucial influence of the type on reaction selectivity and identified Pd/C as the most suitable catalyst. Among solvents screened, THF in combination with Pd/C showed the best performance for LGO hydrogenation, producing Cyrene in >99% yield at a low temperature (60 °C). Nevertheless, hydrogenation of Cyrene to Lgol required a harsher condition as a result of the difficult reduction property of its C=O bond. Elevating the reaction temperature to 180 °C and increasing double Pd dosage enabled a high yield of Lgol, attaining to 94.8%. Bone mesenchymal stem cell (BMSC)‐based regenerative therapy is critical for the craniofacial defect reconstruction. However, oxidative stress microenvironment after transplantation limits the therapeutic efficiency of BMSC. The miR‐181c has been found to be associated with cell survival and proliferation. Herein, we investigated whether prior miR‐181c treatment promoted BMSC proliferation and survival under oxidative stress injury. The results in our study demonstrated that hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) treatment reduced BMSC viability and this effect could be reversed via additional supplementation of miR181‐c. Mechanistically, oxidative stress increased cell apoptosis, augmented caspase‐3 activity, promoted reactive oxygen species synthesis, impaired mitochondrial potential, and induced mitochondrial dynamics imbalance. However, miR‐181c pretreatment reversed these effects of oxidative stress on BMSC. Moreover, miR‐181c treatment improved BMSC proliferation, migration and paracrine, which are very important for craniofacial reconstruction. In addition, we identified that AMP‐activated protein kinase (AMPK)–mitofusins‐1 (Mfn1) axis was the direct targets of miR‐181c in BMSC. Mfn1 silencing impaired the protective effects miR‐181c on BMSC viability and proliferation under oxidative stress environment. Collectively, our results indicate that miR‐181c participates in oxidative stress‐mediated BMSC damage by modulating the AMPK–Mfn1 signaling pathway, suggesting miR‐181c–AMPK–Mfn1 axis may serves as novel therapeutic targets to facilitate craniofacial defect reconstruction. Context: Although bone mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) have been used for the treatment of oral and maxillofacial defects, the survival rate and limited proliferation reduces the therapeutic efficiency of BMSC. Objective: The aim of our study is to explore the role of miR-31 in regulating survival, proliferation, and migration of BMSC in vitro. Materials and methods: LPS was used in vitro to induce BMSC damage and then miR-31 was used to incubate with BMSC. Subsequently, BMSC proliferation, survival, and migration were determined via ELISA, qPCR, western blots, and immunofluorescence. Results: The expression of miR-31 was downregulated in response to LPS stress. Interestingly, supplementation of miR-31 could reverse the survival, proliferation and migration of BMSC under LPS. Mechanically, miR-31 treatment inhibited the activation of caspase, and thus promoted BMSC survival. Besides, miR-31 upregulated the genes related to cell proliferation, an effect that was followed by an increase in the levels of migratory factors. Further, we found that miR-31 treatment activated the CXCR4/Akt pathway and blockade of CXCR4/Akt could abolish the beneficial effects of miR-31 on BMSC proliferation, survival, and migration. The opportunistic human pathogenic fungus Aspergillus flavus is known to be infected with mycoviruses. In this study, we report a novel mycovirus A. flavus partitivirus 1 (AfPV1) that was originally isolated from the abnormal colonial morphology isolate LD-3-8 of A. flavus. AfPV1 has spherical virus-like particles about 40 nm in diameter, and three double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) segments (dsRNA1, 2, and 3 with lengths of 1.7, 1.4, and 1.1 kbp, respectively) were packaged in the virions. dsRNA1, dsRNA2, and dsRNA3 each contained a single open reading frame and potentially encoded 62, 42, and 32 kDa proteins, respectively. The dsRNA1 encoded protein shows similarity to the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) of partitiviruses, and the dsRNA2 product has no significant similarity to any other capsid protein (CP) in the GenBank databases, beside some homology with the hypothetical "capsid" protein of a few partitiviruses. The dsRNA3 encodes a protein with no similarity to any protein in the GenBank database. SDS-PAGE and polypeptide mass fingerprint-mass spectrum (PMF-MS) analyses indicated that the CP of the AfPV1 was encoded by dsRNA2. Phylogenetic analysis showed that the AfPV1 and relative viruses were found in an unclassified group inside the Partitiviridae family. AfPV1 seems to result in debilitation symptoms, but had no significant effects to murine pathogenicity.
