This work reports heavy ion-irradiation effects in polycrystalline Fe3O4. For this matter, Fe/Fe3O4 heterostructures were irradiated in situ in a transmission electron microscopy with 1 MeV Kr ions at 50 K. Evidence of cubic to monoclinic transformation (a.k.a Verwey transition) was recorded in some magnetite grains upon cooling the sample (around 90 K); however, most of the oxide grains retain their cubic spinel structure. Irradiation effects were analyzed in the cubic phase up to a maximum dose of 38 dpa without the sign of amorphization. The extinction of first-order reflections was recorded at doses below 1 dpa, indicating the formation of a new (metastable) phase with half of the lattice parameters compared to the unirradiated Fe3O4 crystal. The formation of the new crystalline phase, which also presents a high resistance to amorphization, is related to the disordering of the cation lattice and the high mobility of the cation interstitials. High-entropy rock-salt Mg0.2Co0.2Ni0.2Cu0.2Zn0.2O has been intensively studied in the energy field due to its unique composition–function relationship and synergistic effect. Entropy-stabilization of Cu and Zn in rock-salt Mg0.2Co0.2Ni0.2Cu0.2Zn0.2O is the key characteristic of this material. As a parent binary oxide, ZnO exists as wurtzite in nature. Herein, for the first time we investigated the role of late 3d transition metals Co, Ni and Cu in stabilizing Zn in MgO-based rock-salt oxides under the same configurational entropy condition and their structural stability in alkaline solutions. We found that Co, Ni and Cu can increase the Zn solubility in MgO-based rock-salt oxides, Mg0.50TM0.25Zn0.25O (TM = Co, Ni and Cu, configurational entropy 1.04 R), with Cu being the best. Simulation results show that the formation energy of Zn substitution for Mg is the lowest in Mg0.50Cu0.25Zn0.25O. Moreover, Cu incorporation can create a wide metal–oxygen bond length distribution, which causes short-range disorder and enhances Zn stabilization. Surprisingly, CuO with square-planar Cu–O coordination is more effective in stabilizing rock-salt ZnO in MgO, compared to rock-salt CoO and NiO, as Cu2+ ions undergo splitting of eg orbitals due to strong Jahn–Teller distortion. Mg0.50Cu0.25Zn0.25O with medium entropy 1.04 R can stabilize 25 at% Cu and 25 at% Zn simultaneously. Besides, the Ni substitution is found to be effective in improving the structural stability in alkaline solutions. This work gives insight into understanding the complementation of orbital distribution in high-entropy oxides for metal stabilization, and provides a rational composition design for applications in the energy field. Purpose: To identify the key risk factors for venous thromboembolism (VTE) in urological inpatients based on the Caprini scale using an interpretable machine learning method. Methods: VTE risk data of urological inpatients were obtained based on the Caprini scale in the case hospital. Based on the data, the Boruta method was used to further select the key variables from the 37 variables in the Caprini scale. Furthermore, decision rules corresponding to each risk level were generated using the rough set (RS) method. Finally, random forest (RF), support vector machine (SVM), and backpropagation artificial neural network (BPANN) were used to verify the data accuracy and were compared with the RS method. Results: Following the screening, the key risk factors for VTE in urology were "(C1) Age," "(C2) Minor Surgery planned," "(C3) Obesity (BMI > 25)," "(C8) Varicose veins," "(C9) Sepsis (< 1 month)," (C10) "Serious lung disease incl. pneumonia (< 1month) " (C11) COPD," "(C16) Other risk," "(C18) Major surgery (> 45 min)," "(C19) Laparoscopic surgery (> 45 min)," "(C20) Patient confined to bed (> 72 h)," "(C18) Malignancy (present or previous)," "(C23) Central venous access," "(C31) History of DVT/PE," "(C32) Other congenital or acquired thrombophilia," and "(C34) Stroke (< 1 month." According to the decision rules of different risk levels obtained using the RS method, "(C1) Age," "(C18) Major surgery (> 45 minutes)," and "(C21) Malignancy (present or previous)" were the main factors influencing mid- and high-risk levels, and some suggestions on VTE prevention were indicated based on these three factors. The average accuracies of the RS, RF, SVM, and BPANN models were 79.5%, 87.9%, 92.6%, and 97.2%, respectively. In addition, BPANN had the highest accuracy, recall, F1-score, and precision. Conclusions: The RS model achieved poorer accuracy than the other three common machine learning models. However, the RS model provides strong interpretability and allows for the identification of high-risk factors and decision rules influencing high-risk assessments of VTE in urology. Purpose: To analyze the key factors influencing the psychological resilience of intensive care unit (ICU) nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic and put forward suggestions promoting resilience based on key improvement factors and clinical experience. Methods: Data were collected from 35 ICU nurses in a hospital in Zhejiang Province, China, through a questionnaire survey conducted between January and February 2023. The Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method was then used to construct and visualize the relationship structure between the factors. The DEMATEL-based Analytical Network Process (DANP) was applied to determine the influential weights of all factors. Finally, the key improvement factors were identified using importance-performance analysis (IPA). Results: Based on the cause-effect impact network diagram (CEIND), it was concluded that (C11), (C22), and (C32) are the key factors that promote the improvement of psychological resilience among ICU nurses. Additionally, these factors were the key factors that influence psychological resilience. The confidence levels of these results and the gap were 99.6% and 0.4%, respectively, which exceed the threshold value of 95%, indicating good stability. Finally, for the case hospitals, (C13) was identified as the key improvement factor. Conclusions: Hospital administrators should support ICU nurses in enhancing their psychological resilience during major epidemics by: (i) Providing training on comprehensive protective measures and nursing skills; (ii) Effectively managing the human resources of nurses in the hospital to reduce their workload; (iii) Increasing social and organizational support for nurses to alleviate anxiety caused by large-scale public health events and improve their psychological resilience. An automated task for finding the essential buggy files among software projects with the help of a given bug report is termed bug localization. The conventional approaches suffer from the challenges of performing lexical matching. Particularly, the terms utilized for describing the bugs in the bug reports are observed to be irrelevant to the terms used in the source code files. To resolve these problems, we propose an optimized and ensemble deep learning model for software bug localization. These features are reduced by the principle component analysis (PCA). Then, they are selected by the weighted convolutional neural network (CNN) model with the support of the Modified Scatter Probability‐based Coyote Optimization Algorithm (MSP‐COA). Finally, the optimal features are subjected to the ensemble deep neural network and long short‐term memory (DNN‐LSTM), with parameter tuning by the MSP‐COA. The synergistic effects of rare earth (RE) and Mg elements on the high‐temperature oxidation resistance of Fe–20Cr–6Al alloy are investigated in‐depth. The scale on RE–Mg codoped alloy mainly consists of α‐Al2O3/MgAl2O4, with many pores caused by spinel transition. Owing to the segregation of RE ion at the grain boundaries, there is a significant refinement effect of oxide grains, which improves the spallation resistance of scale and offers more grain boundary diffusion pathways for ion transport, resulting in an obvious increase of oxidation weight gain. Purpose: Nationally legislated dense breast notification (DBN) informs women of their breast density (BD) and the impact of BD on breast cancer risk and detection, but consequences for screening participation are unclear. We evaluated the association of DBN in New York State (NYS) with subsequent screening mammography in a largely Hispanic/Latina cohort. Methods: Women aged 40–60 were surveyed in their preferred language (33% English, 67% Spanish) during screening mammography from 2016 to 2018. We used clinical BD classification from mammography records from 2013 (NYS DBN enactment) through enrollment (baseline) to create a 6-category variable capturing prior and new DBN receipt (sent only after clinically dense mammograms). We used this variable to compare the number of subsequent mammograms (0, 1, ≥ 2) from 10 to 30 months after baseline using ordinal logistic regression. Results: In a sample of 728 women (78% foreign-born, 72% Hispanic, 46% high school education or less), first-time screeners and women who received DBN for the first time after prior non-dense mammograms had significantly fewer screening mammograms within 30 months of baseline (Odds Ratios range: 0.33 (95% Confidence Interval (CI) 0.12–0.85) to 0.38 (95% CI 0.17–0.82)) compared to women with prior mammography but no DBN. There were no differences in subsequent mammogram frequency between women with multiple DBN and those who never received DBN. Findings were consistent across age, language, health literacy, and education groups. Conclusion: Women receiving their first DBN after previous non-dense mammograms have lower mammography participation within 2.5 years. Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) for biomarkers important for clinical phenotypes can lead to clinically relevant discoveries. Conventional GWAS for quantitative traits are based on simplified regression models modeling the conditional mean of a phenotype as a linear function of genotype. We draw attention here to an alternative, lesser known approach, namely quantile regression that naturally extends linear regression to the analysis of the entire conditional distribution of a phenotype of interest. Quantile regression can be applied efficiently at biobank scale, while having some unique advantages such as (1) identifying variants with heterogeneous effects across quantiles of the phenotype distribution; (2) accommodating a wide range of phenotype distributions including non-normal distributions, with invariance of results to trait transformations; and (3) providing more detailed information about genotype-phenotype associations even for those associations identified by conventional GWAS. We show in simulations that quantile regression is powerful across both homogeneous and various heterogeneous models. Applications to 39 quantitative traits in the UK Biobank demonstrate that quantile regression can be a helpful complement to linear regression in GWAS and can identify variants with larger effects on high-risk subgroups of individuals but with lower or no contribution overall. Acoustic emission (AE) technology has been widely utilized to monitor the SiC wafer lapping process. The root-mean-square (RMS) of the time–domain eigenvalues of the AE signal has a linear relationship with the material removal rate (MRR). However, the existence of background noise severely reduces signal monitoring accuracy. Noise interference often leads to increased RMS deviation and signal distortion. In the study presented in this manuscript, a frequency threshold noise reduction approach was developed by combining and improving wavelet packet noise reduction and spectral subtraction noise reduction techniques. Three groups of SiC lapping experiments were conducted on a fixed abrasive pad, and the lapping acoustic signals were processed using three different noise reduction approaches: frequency threshold, wavelet packet, and spectral subtraction. The results show that the noise reduction method using the frequency threshold is the most effective, with the best coefficient of determination (R2) for the linear fit of the RMS to the MRR. Background: Icariin (ICA) inhibits inflammatory response in various diseases, but the mechanism underlying ICA treating airway inflammation in asthma needs further understood. We aimed to predict and validate the potential targets of ICA against asthma‐associated airway inflammation using network pharmacology and experiments. Methods: The ovalbumin‐induced asthma‐associated airway inflammation mice model was established. The effects of ICA were evaluated by behavioral, airway hyperresponsiveness, lung pathological changes, inflammatory cell and cytokines counts. Next, the corresponding targets of ICA were mined via the SEA, CTD, HERB, PharmMapper, Symmap database and the literature. Pubmed‐Gene and GeneCards databases were used to screen asthma and airway inflammation‐related targets. The overlapping targets were used to build an interaction network, analyze gene ontology and enrich pathways. Subsequently, flow cytometry, quantitative real‐time PCR and western blotting were employed for validation. Results: ICA alleviated the airway inflammation of asthma; 402 targets of ICA, 5136 targets of asthma and 4531 targets of airway inflammation were screened; 216 overlapping targets were matched and predicted ICA possesses the potential to modulate asthmatic airway inflammation by macrophage activation/polarization. Additionally, ICA decreased M1 but elevated M2. Potential targets that were disrupted by asthma inflammation were restored by ICA treatment. Conclusions: ICA alleviates airway inflammation in asthma by inhibiting the M1 polarization of alveolar macrophages, which is related to metabolic reprogramming. Jun, Jak2, Syk, Tnf, Aldh2, Aldh9a1, Nos1, Nos2 and Nos3 represent potential targets of therapeutic intervention. Summary: The treatment landscape of acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) is evolving rapidly. Venetoclax in combination with intensive chemotherapy or doublets or triplets with targeted or immune therapies is the focus of numerous ongoing trials. The development of mutation‐targeted therapies has greatly enhanced the treatment armamentarium, with FLT3 inhibitors and isocitrate dehydrogenase inhibitors improving outcomes in frontline and relapsed/refractory (RR) AML, and menin inhibitors showing efficacy in RR NPM1mut and KMT2A‐rearranged AML. With so many new drugs approved, the number of potential combinatorial approaches to leverage the maximal benefit of these agents has increased dramatically, while at the same time introducing clinical challenges, such as key preclinical and clinical data supporting the development of combinatorial therapy, how to optimally combine or sequence these novel agents, how to optimise dose and duration to maintain safety while enhancing efficacy, the optimal duration of therapy and the role of measurable residual disease in decision‐making in both intensive and low‐intensity therapy settings. In this review, we will outline the evidence leading to the approval of key agents in AML, their on‐label current approvals and how they may be optimally combined in a safe and deliverable fashion to further improve outcomes in AML. To reveal the effect of zeolite topology on the status of iron species, a series of Fe-zeolite catalysts (Fe-Beta, Fe-ZSM-5, Fe-Y, Fe-ZSM-35, Fe-MCM-22, Fe-SSZ-13) were synthesized using the wet ion-exchange technique. The catalytic reduction of N2O by NH3 with Fe-zeolites was carried out, and the corresponding activities followed the order Fe-Beta > Fe-ZSM-5 > Fe-Y > Fe-ZSM-35 > Fe-MCM-22 > Fe-SSZ-13. The Fe-Beta catalyst shows the best activity, which achieving more than 98% N2O conversion at 350 ℃. The prepared catalysts were subjected to physicochemical characterization. It shows that the structure of Fe-Beta and Fe-ZSM-5 zeolite facilitated the loading of Fe ions upon the framework of zeolites through the pores and the sequent formation of active centers (Fe3+) on the ion exchange sites. In addition, the larger pore sizes in Fe-zeolites are more favorable for the diffusion of N2O within the pores and channels of the zeolite, so the catalytic reduction of N2O by ammonia is promoted. Objectives: To establish deep learning models for malignancy risk estimation of sub-centimeter pulmonary nodules incidentally detected by chest CT and managed in clinical settings. Materials and methods: Four deep learning models were trained using CT images of sub-centimeter pulmonary nodules from West China Hospital, internally tested, and externally validated on three cohorts. The four models respectively learned 3D deep features from the baseline whole lung region, baseline image patch where the nodule located, baseline nodule box, and baseline plus follow-up nodule boxes. All regions of interest were automatically segmented except that the nodule boxes were additionally manually checked. The performance of models was compared with each other and that of three respiratory clinicians. Results: There were 1822 nodules (981 malignant) in the training set, 806 (416 malignant) in the testing set, and 357 (253 malignant) totally in the external sets. The area under the curve (AUC) in the testing set was 0.754, 0.855, 0.928, and 0.942, respectively, for models derived from baseline whole lung, image patch, nodule box, and the baseline plus follow-up nodule boxes. When baseline models externally validated (follow-up images not available), the nodule-box model outperformed the other two with AUC being 0.808, 0.848, and 0.939 respectively in the three external datasets. The resident, junior, and senior clinicians achieved an accuracy of 67.0%, 82.5%, and 90.0%, respectively, in the testing set. The follow-up model performed comparably to the senior clinician. Conclusion: The deep learning algorithms solely mining nodule information can efficiently predict malignancy of incidental sub-centimeter pulmonary nodules. Clinical relevance statement: The established models may be valuable for supporting clinicians in routine clinical practice, potentially reducing the number of unnecessary examinations and also delays in diagnosis. Given the high prevalence of avian leukosis virus subgroup K (ALV-K) in chickens in China, the positive rate of ALV-K in local chickens in Henan province was investigated, and the genetic region encoding the glycoprotein gp85 of isolates from positive chickens was analyzed. The positive rate of ALV-K in local chickens in Henan was found to be 87.2% (41/47). Phylogenetic analysis of gp85 sequences revealed six clusters that differed in their host range regions (hr1 and hr2) and variable regions (vr1, vr2, and vr3). Evidence of recombination of hr1, hr2, vr1, vr2, and vr3 was observed between the different clusters. The isolate HN23LS02 appears to have obtained its hr1 and hr2 regions from separate lineages via recombination but without having a significant affect on the replication capacity of the virus. Tagraxofusp is a first‐in‐class CD123‐directed conjugate of an amended diphtheria toxin platform and recombinant interleukin 3. Binding and subsequent internalization of the drug result in cell death via disruption of intracellular protein synthesis. CD123 is a surface marker that is expressed in several hematological malignancies, especially blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN), where its expression is ubiquitous. A pivotal study of tagraxofusp in BPDCN resulted in its approval for the treatment of BPDCN, the first treatment approved for this indication. Since the introduction of tagraxofusp, research has focused on the management of adverse effects, combination therapy to improve outcomes in fit patients, and dosing and combination strategies to mitigate toxicities while preserving efficacy, especially among older patients. The successful targeting of CD123 in BPDCN has also encouraged research into a variety of other CD123‐positive hematological neoplasms, including acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and informed the development of other novel agents targeting CD123. This review examines the clinical data leading to the development and approval of tagraxofusp in BPDCN, how it is being used in combination to improve outcomes in BPDCN and AML, and its developing role in other hematological malignancies. Tagraxofusp is a first‐in‐class CD123‐directed immunotherapy for blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm. Gridization is an emerging molecular integration technology that enables the creation of multifunctional organic semiconductors through precise linkages. While Friedel-Crafts gridization of fluorenols is potent, direct linkage among fluorene molecules poses a challenge. Herein, we report an achiral Pd-PPh3-cataylized diastereoselective (>99:1 d.r.) gridization based on the C-H-activation of fluorene to give dimeric and trimeric windmill-type nanogrids (DWGs and TWGs). These non-conjugated stereo-nanogrids showcase intramolecular multiple H...H interactions with a low field shift to 8.51 ppm and circularly polarized luminescence with high luminescent dissymmetry factors (|gPL | = 0.012). Significantly, the nondoped organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) utilizing cis-trans-TWG1 emitter present an ultraviolet electroluminescent peak at ~386 nm (CIE: 0.17, 0.04) with a maximum external quantum efficiency of 4.17%, marking the highest record among nondoped ultraviolet OLEDs based on hydrocarbon compounds and the pioneering ultraviolet OLEDs based on macrocycles. These nanohydrocarbon offer potential nanoscafflolds for ultraviolet light-emitting optoelectronic applications. Gridization is useful for creating multifunctional organic semiconductors. Sabia parviflora (SP, "xiao hua qing feng teng" in Chinese) was recorded as an important ethnic medicine to be used for treating viral hepatitis. The antiviral activity of four SP extracts and potent antiviral compounds evaluated with cathepsin L protease (Cat L PR) and HIV-1 protease (HIV-1 PR). UPLC-HRMS was used for identifying the bioactive components. In addition, the possible inhibitory mechanism of the identified compounds on viral protease was further discussed by molecular docking. As a result, four extracts of SP exhibited inhibitory activity of HIV-1 PR and Cat L PR with IC50 range from 0.015 to 0.80 mg/mL. Meanwhile, six compounds inhibited HIV-1 PR with IC50 range from 0.032 to 0.80 mg/mL. Moreover, procyanidin B2 had good affinity for HIV-1 PR and CatL PR protein, respectively. Precise management of the inverse correlation between the total porosity and compressive strength is crucial for the progress of foaming glass–ceramics (FGCs). To deeply understand this relationship, we investigated the atomic-level transformations of five CO2-foaming FGC samples using molecular dynamics simulation. The short-range and intermediate-range structures of the FGCs with varying total porosities (36.68%, 66.28%, 66.96%, 72.21%, and 79.88%) in the system were elucidated. Na cations were observed to exhibit a strong interaction with CO2, accumulating at the surface of the pore wall and influencing the oxygen species. Therefore, the change in the atomic structure of the matrix was accompanied by an increase in the total porosity with an increasing CO2 content. Specifically, as the total porosity increased, the bridging oxygen content within the FGCs rose accordingly. However, once the total porosity exceeded 66.96%, the bridging oxygen content began to decline. This observation was significant considering the role of the bridging oxygen content in forming a continuous cross-linked network of chemical bonds, which contributed to the enhanced mechanical strength. Consequently, the influence of the total porosity on the oxygen species resulted in a two-stage reduction in the compressive strength. Summary: Targeted therapy development for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) requires an understanding of specific expression profiles. We collected flow cytometry data on 901 AML patients and recorded aberrant CD7 expression on leukaemic blasts. 263 (29.2%) had blasts positive for CD7. CD7+ AML was more likely to be adverse risk (64.6% vs. 55.6%, p = 0.0074) and less likely to be favourable risk (15.2% vs. 24.1%, p = 0.0074) by European LeukemiaNet 2022 criteria. Overall survival was inferior (11.9 [95% CI, 9.7–15.9] vs. 19.0 months [95% CI, 16.1–23.0], p = 0.0174). At relapse, 30.4% lost and 19.0% gained CD7, suggesting moderate instability over time. Background: This study addresses the predictive modeling of Enlarged Perivascular Spaces (EPVS) in neuroradiology and neurology, focusing on their impact on Cerebral Small Vessel Disease (CSVD) and neurodegenerative disorders. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 587 neurology inpatients, utilizing LASSO regression for variable selection and logistic regression for model development. The study included comprehensive demographic, medical history, and laboratory data analyses. Results: The model identified key predictors of EPVS, including Age, Hypertension, Stroke, Lipoprotein a, Platelet Large Cell Ratio, Uric Acid, and Albumin to Globulin Ratio. The predictive nomogram demonstrated strong efficacy in EPVS risk assessment, validated through ROC curve analysis, calibration plots, and Decision Curve Analysis. Conclusion: The study presents a novel, robust EPVS predictive model, providing deeper insights into EPVS mechanisms and risk factors. Background: The increasing prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) on a global scale has created a pressing demand for novel treatments. Gentianella turkestanorum (Gand.) Holub, a traditional Chinese herbal medicine, has been found to possess hypoglycemic effects. However, the mechanism of its action remains unclear. Objectives: This study was to investigate the impact and mechanism of G. turkestanorum 's water extract (WEG) in reducing insulin resistance (IR) in T2DM. Materials and Methods: Db/db mice were administered WEG for 8 weeks, during which their body weight, blood glucose (BG), oral glucose tolerance test, islet tolerance test, fasting insulin, total cholesterol, triglyceride, high-density lipoprotein, and low-density lipoprotein were monitored. Additionally, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels in db/db mice were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The study also evaluated the impact of WEG on liver injury through hematoxylin-eosin staining. The expression levels of key proteins and genes in both insulin signaling and inflammation-related pathways were detected using western blotting and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Results: WEG has the potential to regulate glycolipid metabolism, reduce inflammation, and alleviate IR. A biomechanical model often requires parameter estimation and selection in a known but complicated nonlinear function. Motivated by observing that the data from a head-neck position tracking system, one of biomechanical models, show multiplicative time-dependent errors, we develop a modified penalized weighted least squares estimator. The proposed method can be also applied to a model with possible non-zero mean time-dependent additive errors. Asymptotic properties of the proposed estimator are investigated under mild conditions on a weight matrix and the error process. A simulation study demonstrates that the proposed estimation works well in both parameter estimation and selection with time-dependent error. Purpose: To analyze the clinicopathologic information and CT imaging features of Epstein–Barr virus (EBV)-positive gastric cancer (GC) and establish CT-based radiomics models to predict the EBV status of GC. Methods: This retrospective study included 144 GC cases, including 48 EBV-positive cases. Pathological and immunohistochemical information was collected. CT enlarged LN and morphological characteristics were also assessed. Radiomics models were constructed to predict the EBV status, including decision tree (DT), logistic regression (LR), random forest (RF), and support vector machine (SVM). Results: T stage, Lauren classification, histological differentiation, nerve invasion, VEGFR2, E-cadherin, PD-L1, and Ki67 differed significantly between the EBV-positive and -negative groups (p = 0.015, 0.030, 0.006, 0.022, 0.028, 0.030, < 0.001, and < 0.001, respectively). CT enlarged LN and large ulceration differed significantly between the two groups (p = 0.019 and 0.043, respectively). The number of patients in the training and validation cohorts was 100 (with 33 EBV-positive cases) and 44 (with 15 EBV-positive cases). In the training cohort, the radiomics models using DT, LR, RF, and SVM yielded areas under the curve (AUCs) of 0.905, 0.771, 0.836, and 0.886, respectively. In the validation cohort, the diagnostic efficacy of radiomics models using the four classifiers were 0.737, 0.722, 0.751, and 0.713, respectively. Conclusion: A significantly higher proportion of CT enlarged LN and a significantly lower proportion of large ulceration were found in EBV-positive GC. Comprehensive Summary: Stability against oxygen is an important factor affecting the performance of organic semiconductor devices. Improving photooxidation stability can prolong the service life of the device and maintain the mechanical and photoelectric properties of the device. Generally, various encapsulation methods from molecular structure to macroscopic device level are used to improve photooxidation stability. Here, we adopted a crystallization strategy to allow 14H‐spiro[dibenzo[c,h]acridine‐7,9′‐fluorene] (SFDBA) to pack tightly to resist fluorescence decay caused by oxidation. In this case, the inert group of SFDBA acts as a "steric armor", protecting the photosensitive group from being attacked by oxygen. Therefore, compared with the fluorescence quenching of SFDBA powder under 2 h of sunlight, SFDBA crystal can maintain its fluorescence emission for more than 8 h under the same conditions. Furthermore, the photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQYs) of the crystalline film is 327% higher than that of the amorphous film. Instance segmentation is pivotal in remote sensing image (RSI) analysis, aiding in many downstream tasks. However, annotating images with pixel-wise annotations is time-consuming and laborious. Despite some progress in automatic annotation, the performance of existing methods still needs improvement due to the high precision requirements for pixel-level annotation and the complexity of RSIs. With the support of large-scale data, some foundational models have made significant progress in semantic understanding and generalization capabilities. In this paper, we delve deep into the potential of the foundational models in automatic annotation and propose a training-free automatic annotation method called DiffuPrompter, achieving pixel-level automatic annotation of RSIs. Extensive experimental results indicate that the proposed method can provide reliable pseudo-labels, significantly reducing the annotation costs of the segmentation task. Few-shot segmentation (FSS) aims to segment novel classes given a small number of labeled samples. Most of the existing studies do not fine-tune the model during meta-testing, thus biasing the model towards the base classes and preventing the prediction of novel classes. Other studies only use support images for fine-tuning, which biases the model towards the support images rather than the target query images, especially when there is a large difference between the support and the query images. To alleviate these issues, we propose an e ̲ fficient f ̲ ine- t ̲ uning network (EFTNet) that uses unlabeled query images and predicted pseudo labels to fine-tune the trained model parameters during meta-testing, which can bias the model towards the target query images. In addition, we design a query-to-support module, a support-to-query module, and a discrimination module to evaluate which fine-tuning round the model achieves optimal results. Moreover, the query-to-support module also takes the query images and their pseudo masks as part of the support images and support masks, which causes the prototypes to contain query information and tend to obtain better predictions. As a new meta-testing scheme, our EFTNet can be easily combined with existing studies and greatly improve their model performance without repeating the meta-training phase. Many experiments on PASCAL- 5 i and COCO- 20 i prove the effectiveness of our EFTNet. The EFTNet also achieves new state-of-the-art performance. Objective. To enable the registration network to be trained only once, achieving fast regularization hyperparameter selection during the inference phase, and to improve registration accuracy and deformation field regularity. Approach. Hyperparameter tuning is an essential process for deep learning deformable image registration (DLDIR). Most DLDIR methods usually perform a large number of independent experiments to select the appropriate regularization hyperparameters, which are time-consuming and resource-consuming. To address this issue, we propose a novel dynamic hyperparameter block, which comprises a distributed mapping network, dynamic convolution, attention feature extraction layer, and instance normalization layer. The dynamic hyperparameter block encodes the input feature vectors and regularization hyperparameters into learnable feature variables and dynamic convolution parameters which changes the feature statistics of the high-dimensional features layer feature variables, respectively. In addition, the proposed method replaced the single-level structure residual blocks in LapIRN with a hierarchical multi-level architecture for the dynamic hyperparameter block in order to improve registration performance. On the OASIS dataset, the proposed method reduced the percentage of | J ϕ | ⩽ 0 by 28.01 % , 9.78 % and improved Dice similarity coefficient by 1.17 % , 1.17 % , compared with LapIRN and CIR, respectively. On the DIR-Lab dataset, the proposed method reduced the percentage of | J ϕ | ⩽ 0 by 10.00 % , 5.70 % and reduced target registration error by 10.84 % , 10.05 % , compared with LapIRN and CIR, respectively. Significance. The proposed method can fast achieve the corresponding registration deformation field for arbitrary hyperparameter value during the inference phase. Motorbike accidents account for more than half of all road traffic accidents, and most involve novice drivers who have just hit the road. To promote the safe driving of motorbikes and reduce the occurrence of accidents, this study proposes a serious game that simulates a motorbike license training system. The game will simulate the scene and process of the official motorbike license test as a way of training novice drivers to obtain driving qualifications. This study uses the technology acceptance model as an evaluation method for the license training system and for researching the psychological reactions of system users. Research results show that most users have a positive experience with the license training system. However, results also show that the system's fun, usefulness, and user-friendliness affect users' willingness to use the system. Our aim was to develop a machine learning-based predictor for early mortality and severe intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) in very-low birth weight (VLBW) preterm infants in Taiwan. We collected retrospective data from VLBW infants, dividing them into two cohorts: one for model development and internal validation (Cohort 1, 2016–2021), and another for external validation (Cohort 2, 2022). Primary outcomes included early mortality, severe IVH, and early poor outcomes (a combination of both). Data preprocessing involved 23 variables, with the top four predictors identified as gestational age, birth body weight, 5-min Apgar score, and endotracheal tube ventilation. Six machine learning algorithms were employed. Among 7471 infants analyzed, the selected predictors consistently performed well across all outcomes. Logistic regression and neural network models showed the highest predictive performance (AUC 0.81–0.90 in both internal and external validation) and were well-calibrated, confirmed by calibration plots and the lowest two mean Brier scores (0.0685 and 0.0691). We developed a robust machine learning-based outcome predictor using only four accessible variables, offering valuable prognostic information for parents and aiding healthcare providers in decision-making. A new type of thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPV) that is resistant to hot oil, high temperature, and aging was prepared using acrylate elastomer (ACM) and polyoxymethylene (POM) as raw materials. The phase transition process and micromorphology development of the blends with the change of dynamic vulcanization (DV) time, and to illustrate the effects of the phase transition and the degree of elastomer phase crosslinking on the macroscopic properties of TPV were investigated. It was shown that ACM crosslinking occurs continuously during 0–8 min of DV, whereas the phase inversion process occurs predominantly during 0–3 min. In contrast, the cross‐section of the blends after phase inversion is flat, The constant elongation stress under small deformation, hardness, and permanent deformation after break are reduced, and the elongation at break, nonrelaxable modulus, and aging resistance are improved. The increase in the degree of vulcanization of the ACM phase resulted in a significant increase in the modulus of the blends under large deformation, an increase in the nonrelaxable modulus and relaxable modulus, an increase in the aging resistance, and a decrease in the elongation at tear were observed. The root‐knot nematode Meloidogyne graminicola secretes effectors into rice tissues to modulate host immunity. Here, we characterised MgCRT1, a calreticulin protein of M. graminicola, and identified its target in the plant. In situ hybridisation showed MgCRT1 mRNA accumulating in the subventral oesophageal gland in J2 nematodes. Immunolocalization indicated MgCRT1 localises in the giant cells during parasitism. Host‐induced gene silencing of MgCRT1 reduced the infection ability of M. graminicola, while over‐expressing MgCRT1 enhanced rice susceptibility to M. graminicola. A yeast two‐hybrid approach identified the calmodulin‐like protein OsCML31 as an interactor of MgCRT1. OsCML31 interacts with the high mobility group protein OsHMGB1 which is a conserved DNA binding protein. Knockout of OsCML31 or overexpression of OsHMGB1 in rice results in enhanced susceptibility to M. graminicola. In contrast, overexpression of OsCML31 or knockout of OsHMGB1 in rice decreases susceptibility to M. graminicola. The GST‐pulldown and luciferase complementation imaging assay showed that MgCRT1 decreases the interaction of OsCML31 and OsHMGB1 in a competitive manner. In conclusion, when M. graminicola infects rice and secretes MgCRT1 into rice, MgCRT1 interacts with OsCML31 and decreases the association of OsCML31 with OsHMGB1, resulting in the release of OsHMGB1 to enhance rice susceptibility. Background: This study aimed to explore the expression, molecular mechanism and its biological function of potassium two pore domain channel subfamily K member 1 (KCNK1) in bladder cancer (BC). Methods: We integrated large numbers of external samples (n = 1486) to assess KCNK1 mRNA expression levels and collected in-house samples (n = 245) for immunohistochemistry (IHC) experiments to validate at the KCNK1 protein level. Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) analysis was performed to further assess KCNK1 expression and cellular communication. The transcriptional regulatory mechanisms of KCNK1 expression were explored by ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq and ChIA-PET data. Highly expressed co-expressed genes (HECEGs) of KCNK1 were used to explore potential signalling pathways. Furthermore, the immunoassay, clinical significance and molecular docking of KCNK1 were calculated. Results: KCNK1 mRNA was significantly overexpressed in BC (SMD = 0.58, 95% CI [0.05; 1.11]), validated at the protein level (p < 0.0001). Upregulated KCNK1 mRNA exhibited highly distinguishing ability between BC and control samples (AUC = 0.82 [0.78–0.85]). Further, scRNA-seq analysis revealed that KCNK1 expression was predominantly clustered in BC epithelial cells and tended to increase with cellular differentiation. BC epithelial cells were involved in cellular communication mainly through the MK signalling pathway. Secondly, the KCNK1 transcription start site (TSS) showed promoter-enhancer interactions in three-dimensional space, while being transcriptionally regulated by GRHL2 and FOXA1. Most of the KCNK1 HECEGs were enriched in cell cycle–related signalling pathways. KCNK1 was mainly involved in cellular metabolism–related pathways and regulated cell membrane potassium channel activity. KCNK1 expression was associated with the level of infiltration of various immune cells. Immunotherapy and chemotherapy (docetaxel, paclitaxel and vinblastine) were more effective in BC patients in the high KCNK1 expression group. KCNK1 expression correlated with age, pathology grade and pathologic_M in BC patients. Conclusions: KCNK1 was significantly overexpressed in BC. A complex and sophisticated three-dimensional spatial transcriptional regulatory network existed in the KCNK1 TSS and promoted the upregulated of KCNK1 expression. The high expression of KCNK1 might be involved in the cell cycle, cellular metabolism, and tumour microenvironment through the regulation of potassium channels, and ultimately contributed to the deterioration of BC. Objective: Rare disease Background: Castleman's disease (CD) is a reactive lymph node hyperplasia initially identified by Castleman in 1956. CD predominantly affects individuals 20-50 years of age, with low incidence in children. This case report describes 3 cases of CD treated in our hospital and reviews the relevant literature. The purpose of this case report was to enhance clinical understanding and treatment of CD in the head and neck in children. Case Reports: To enhance clinical understanding and improve treatment of CD in the head and neck region in children, we present the cases of 3 patients who were admitted to the hospital, primarily presenting with a neck mass. Preoperatively, the patients collectively exhibited non-specific findings. Surgical interventions were performed with Cases 1 and 3 undergoing left functional (radical) neck lymph node dissection, in contrast to Case 2, in which bilateral functional (radical) neck lymph node dissection was executed. Pathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of CD in each of the 3 patients. Following surgery, a follow-up period ranging from 3 months to 1 year revealed that all patients had successfully recovered, with no recurrence. Conclusions: Castleman disease is a rare disease in children and difficult clinical diagnosis. Some patients with unicentric Castleman disease (UCD) can be treated with surgery, and those with multicentric Castleman disease (MCD) need chemotherapy, but at present there is no widely accepted treatment plan. Purpose: Dysregulated expression of microRNA (miRNAs) in lung cancer has been wildly reported. The clinicopathologic significance of miR-9-5p in nonsmall- cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients and its effect on NSCLC progression were explored in this study. Patients and methods: A total of 76 NSCLC patients were included. miR-9-5p expression was evaluated by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR). Then, in vitro experiments including cell growth curve assays, colony formation assays, and transwell migration assays were performed. Further clinicopathological and prognostic values were explored using bioinformatics analysis of the TCGA database. Results: miR-9-5p expression was significantly increased in tumor tissues (both P < 0.0001). miR-9-5p expression was relatively higher in larger tumors (P = 0.0327) and in lung squamous carcinoma (LUSC) (P = 0. 0143). In addition, miR-9-5p was significantly upregulated in the normal lung tissues of cigarette smokers (P = 0.0099). In vitro, miR-9-5p was correlated with cell proliferation and migration. After that, bioinformatics analysis of the TCGA database indicated that miR-9-5p was correlated with tumor size (P = 0.0022), lymphatic metastasis (P = 0.0141), LUSC (P < 0.0001), and smoking history (P < 0.0001). Finally, a prognostic study indicated high miR-9-5p expression was correlated with poor prognosis in LUAD (P = 0.0121). Conclusion: Upregulation of miR-9-5p may have an oncogenic effect in NSCLC and may be related to smoking. SUMMARY: Upland cotton, the mainly cultivated cotton species in the world, provides over 90% of natural raw materials (fibers) for the textile industry. The development of cotton fibers that are unicellular and highly elongated trichomes on seeds is a delicate and complex process. However, the regulatory mechanism of fiber development is still largely unclear in detail. In this study, we report that a homeodomain‐leucine zipper (HD‐ZIP) IV transcription factor, GhHOX4, plays an important role in fiber elongation. Overexpression of GhHOX4 in cotton resulted in longer fibers, while GhHOX4‐silenced transgenic cotton displayed a "shorter fiber" phenotype compared with wild type. GhHOX4 directly activates two target genes, GhEXLB1D and GhXTH2D, for promoting fiber elongation. On the other hand, phosphatidic acid (PA), which is associated with cell signaling and metabolism, interacts with GhHOX4 to hinder fiber elongation. The basic amino acids KR‐R‐R in START domain of GhHOX4 protein are essential for its binding to PA that could alter the nuclear localization of GhHOX4 protein, thereby suppressing the transcriptional regulation of GhHOX4 to downstream genes in the transition from fiber elongation to secondary cell wall (SCW) thickening during fiber development. Thus, our data revealed that GhHOX4 positively regulates fiber elongation, while PA may function in the phase transition from fiber elongation to SCW formation by negatively modulating GhHOX4 in cotton. The patient, a male newborn, was admitted to the hospital 2 hours after birth duc to prematurity (gestational agc 27+5 weeks) and respiratory distress occurring 2 hours postnatally. After admission, the infant developed fever and elevated C-reactive protein levels. On the fourth day after birth, metagenomic next-generation sequencing of cerebrospinal fluid indicated a positive result for Mycoplasma hominis (9 898 reads). On the eighth day, a retest of cerebrospinal fluid metagenomics confirmed Mycoplasma hominis (56 806 reads). The diagnosis of purulent meningitis caused by Mycoplasma hominis was established, and the antibiotic treatment was switched to moxifloxacin [5 mg/(kg⋅day)] administered intravenously for a total of 4 weeks. After treatment, the patient's cerebrospinal fluid tests returned to normal, and he was discharged as cured on the 76th day after birth. Background: Stephania kwangsiensis Lo (Menispermaceae) is a well-known Chinese herbal medicine, and its bulbous stems are used medicinally. The storage stem of S. kwangsiensis originated from the hypocotyls. To date, there are no reports on the growth and development of S. kwangsiensis storage stems. Results: The bulbous stem of S. kwangsiensis, the starch diameter was larger at the stable expanding stage (S3T) than at the unexpanded stage (S1T) or the rapidly expanding stage (S2T) at the three different time points. We used ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) and Illumina sequencing to identify key genes involved in bulbous stem development. A large number of differentially accumulated metabolites (DAMs) and differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified. Based on the differential expression profiles of the metabolites, alkaloids, lipids, and phenolic acids were the top three differentially expressed classes. Compared with S2T, significant changes in plant signal transduction and isoquinoline alkaloid biosynthesis pathways occurred at both the transcriptional and metabolic levels in S1T. In S2T compared with S3T, several metabolites involved in tyrosine metabolism were decreased. Temporal analysis of S1T to S3T indicated the downregulation of phenylpropanoid biosynthesis, including lignin biosynthesis. The annotation of key pathways showed an up-down trend for genes and metabolites involved in isoquinoline alkaloid biosynthesis, whereas phenylpropanoid biosynthesis was not completely consistent. Conclusions: Downregulation of the phenylpropanoid biosynthesis pathway may be the result of carbon flow into alkaloid synthesis and storage of lipids and starch during the development of S. kwangsiensis bulbous stems. A decrease in the number of metabolites involved in tyrosine metabolism may also lead to a decrease in the upstream substrates of phenylpropane biosynthesis. Downregulation of lignin synthesis during phenylpropanoid biosynthesis may loosen restrictions on bulbous stem expansion. This study provides the first comprehensive analysis of the metabolome and transcriptome profiles of S. kwangsiensis bulbous stems. The African swine fever virus (ASFV) has the ability to infect both wild boars and domestic pigs, regardless of their breeds or ages, often resulting in a mortality rate of 100%. Host innate immunity is the most important defense weapon against invasion of pathogenic microbial infection. cGAS-STING signaling pathway is one of the greatest discoveries of the twenty-first century, which is crucial in host's innate immune response. Recent studies have found that the interaction between cGAS/STING pathway and ASFV plays a key role during ASFV infection. At the same time, ASFV has also evolved different strategies to evade the killing of the host cGAS/STING pathway and promote its survival. Here, we review the latest progress in the interaction between ASFV infection, cGAS/STING pathways, and their related molecular mechanisms, aiming to provide new ideas for further research on the pathogenesis of ASFV, the development of vaccines and therapeutic drugs. Thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) is associated with both hypertensive emergency and primary thrombocytopenia purpura (TTP). However, their clinical management is vastly different, with the latter necessitating urgent plasma exchange (PEX). We report two cases of hypertension-associated TMA (HTN-TMA) and a literature review of the clinical management of malignant hypertension. We suggest that in patients presenting with hypertensive emergency associated with TMA, a clinical diagnosis of HTN-TMA should be made, with emergent treatment to lower blood pressure started immediately. Aims: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common functional gastrointestinal disorder, but its pathogenesis remains incompletely understood, particularly the involvements of central nervous system sensitization in colorectal visceral pain. Our study was to investigate whether the paraventricular thalamus (PVT) projected to the insular cortex (IC) to regulate colorectal visceral pain in neonatal colonic inflammation (NCI) mice and underlying mechanisms. Methods: We applied optogenetic, chemogenetic, or pharmacological approaches to manipulate the glutamatergicPVT‐IC pathway. Fiber photometry was used to assess neuronal activity. Electromyography activities in response to colorectal distension (CRD) were measured to evaluate the colorectal visceral pain. Results: NCI enhanced c‐Fos expression and calcium activity upon CRD in the ICGlu, and optogenetic manipulation of them altered colorectal visceral pain responses accordingly. Viral tracing indicated that the PVTGlu projected to the ICGlu. Optogenetic manipulation of PVTGlu changed colorectal visceral pain responses. Furthermore, selective optogenetic modulation of PVT projections in the IC influenced colorectal visceral pain, which was reversed by chemogenetic manipulation of downstream ICGlu. Conclusions: This study identified a novel PVT‐IC neural circuit playing a critical role in colorectal visceral pain in a mouse model of IBS. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
