6‐Aminocaproic acid (6ACA) and 1,6‐hexamethylenediamine (HMDA) are key precursors for nylon synthesis, and both are produced using petroleum‐based chemical processes. However, the utilization of bio‐based raw materials for biological production of monomers is crucial for nylon industry. In this study, we demonstrated that metabolic engineering of Escherichia coli and selected mutations of α‐keto acid decarboxylase successfully synthesized 6ACA and HMDA. An artificial iterative cycle from l‐lysine to chain‐extended α‐ketoacids was introduced into Escherichia coli BL21 (DE3). Then, the extended α‐ketoacids were decarboxylated and oxidized for 6ACA production. Overexpression of catalase (KatE) combined with the site‐directed mutations of α‐isopropylmalate synthase (LeuA) contributed synergistic enhancement effect on synthesis of 6ACA, resulting in a 1.3‐fold increase in 6ACA titer. Selected mutations in α‐keto acid decarboxylase (KivD) improved its specificity and 170.00 ± 5.57 mg/L of 6ACA with a yield of 0.13 mol/mol (6ACA/l‐lysine hydrochloride) was achieved by shake flask cultivation of the engineered strain with the KivD# (F381Y/V461I). Meanwhile, the engineered E. coli could accumulate 84.67 ± 4.04 mg/L of HMDA with a yield of 0.08 mol/mol (HMDA/l‐lysine hydrochloride) by replacing aldehyde dehydrogenase with bi‐aminotransferases. The Neoarchean Qingyuan greenstone belt (QGB) is located at the northeastern margin of the North China Craton (NCC) and has experienced amphibolite- to granulite-facies metamorphism. The supracrustal rock assemblage is composed of biotite-hornblende (Bt-Hb) monzonitic gneiss, garnet-biotite-hornblende (Grt-Bt-Hb) monzonitic gneiss, Grt-Bt-Hb plagioclase gneiss, amphibolite and orthopyroxene-biotite-hornblende (Opx-Bt-Hb) plagioclase gneiss. This study involves thorough field and petrographic observations, whole-rock geochemistry and LA-ICP-MS zircon U‒Pb ages of these rocks to constrain the Neoarchean geodynamic setting of the QGB. Zircon U‒Pb dating indicates that these metavolcanic rocks formed during 2.57‒2.52 Ga and experienced subsequent regional metamorphism at 2.52‒2.47 Ga. Lithological and geochemical characteristics show that the QGB protoliths were tholeiitic to calc-alkaline basalts, andesites, dacites and rhyolites. The andesite-dacite-rhyolite assemblage exhibits high SiO2 and Mg# values, low Yb and Y contents, strongly fractionated chondrite-normalized REE patterns and depletion in Nb, Ta, Ti and P, resembling Phanerozoic adakites. These geochemical characteristics suggest an origin from the partial melting of a subducted slab interacting with mantle wedge material. The tholeiitic to calc-alkaline basalts exhibit slightly LREE-enriched chondrite-normalized REE patterns and negative Nb and Ti anomalies, like island arc basalts. These basalts might have originated by partial melting of a mantle source affected by metasomatism from subduction-derived fluids and melts. Cadaverine is an endogenous metabolite produced by the gut microbiome with various activity in physiological and pathological conditions. However, whether cadaverine regulates pain or itch remains unclear. In this study, we first found that cadaverine may bind to histamine 4 receptor (H4R) with higher docking energy score using molecular docking simulations, suggesting cadaverine may act as an endogenous ligand for H4R. We subsequently found intradermal injection of cadaverine into the nape or cheek of mice induces a dose-dependent scratching response in mice, which was suppressed by a selective H4R antagonist JNJ-7777120, transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) antagonist capsazepine and PLC inhibitor U73122, but not H1R antagonist or TRPA1 antagonist or TRPV4 antagonist. Consistently, cadaverine-induced itch was abolished in Trpv1 −/− but not Trpa1 −/− mice. Pharmacological analysis indicated that mast cells and opioid receptors were also involved in cadaverine-induced itch in mice. scRNA-Seq data analysis showed that H4R and TRPV1 are mainly co-expressed on NP2, NP3 and PEP1 DRG neurons. Calcium imaging analysis showed that cadaverine perfusion enhanced calcium influx in the dissociated dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons, which was suppressed by JNJ-7777120 and capsazepine, as well as in the DRG neurons from Trpv1 −/− mice. Patch-clamp recordings found that cadaverine perfusion significantly increased the excitability of small diameter DRG neurons, and JNJ-7777120 abolished this effect, indicating involvement of H4R. Together, these results provide evidences that cadaverine is a novel endogenous pruritogens, which activates H4R/TRPV1 signaling pathways in the primary sensory neurons. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Acute lung injury (ALI) is characterized by an unregulated inflammatory reaction, often leading to severe morbidity and ultimately death. Excessive inflammation caused by M1 macrophage polarization and pyroptosis has been revealed to have a critical role in ALI. Recent study suggests that glycolytic reprogramming is important in the regulation of macrophage polarization and pyroptosis. However, the particular processes underlying ALI have yet to be identified. In this study, we established a Lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced ALI model and demonstrated that blocking glycolysis by using 2-Deoxy-D-glucose(2-DG) significantly downregulated the expression of M1 macrophage markers and pyroptosis-related genes, which was consistent with the in vitro results. Furthermore, our research has revealed that Phosphoglycerate Kinase 1(PGK1), an essential enzyme in the glycolysis pathway, interacts with NOD-, LRR- and pyrin domain-containing protein 3(NLRP3). We discovered that LPS stimulation improves the combination of PGK1 and NLRP3 both in vivo and in vitro. Interestingly, the absence of PGK1 reduces the phosphorylation level of NLRP3. Based on in vitro studies with mice bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMDMs), we further confirmed that siPGK1 plays a protective role by inhibiting macrophage pyroptosis and M1 macrophage polarization. The PGK1 inhibitor NG52 suppresses the occurrence of excessive inflammation in ALI. In general, it is plausible to consider a therapeutic strategy that focuses on modulating the relationship between PGK1 and NLRP3 as a means to mitigate the activation of inflammatory macrophages in ALI. Organometal halide perovskite photovoltaic (PV) cells have achieved power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) comparable to the leading crystalline silicon (c‐Si) PV technology. However, despite their exceptional performance, these perovskite solar cells (PSCs) face technological challenges such as large‐area fabrication complexities and outdoor stability concerns. These challenges need to be addressed to pave the way for the commercialization of PSCs. The key to commercializing PSCs lies in developing stable, large‐area solar modules that offer both high efficiency and reliability. Overcoming the hurdles of large‐area module design and fabrication is a crucial step, and researchers are exploring innovative solutions to tackle these challenges. This review article primarily focuses on the development of large‐area PSCs, recent advancements in this field, and the obstacles related to scaling up this technology. It delves into the techniques used to fabricate perovskite films, with a special emphasis on large‐area and large‐scale PSC manufacturing methods. Moreover, the review highlights stability concerns that perovskite solar modules (PSMs) face and reports on recent progress in addressing these issues. The article concludes by summarizing potential future research directions aimed at realizing the full commercial potential of this innovative and promising solar cell technology. Human reliability analysis (HRA) is widely used to evaluate the impact of human errors on various complex human–machine systems for enhancing their safety and reliability. Nevertheless, it is hard to estimate the human error probability (HEP) in reality due to the uncertainty of state assessment information and the complex relations among common performance conditions (CPCs). In this paper, we aim to present a new integrated cognitive reliability and error analysis method (CREAM) to solve the HRA problems under probabilistic linguistic environment. First, the probabilistic linguistic term sets (PLTSs) are utilized to handle the uncertain task state assessments provided by experts. Second, the minimum conflict consensus model (MCCM) is employed to deal with conflict task state assessment information to assist experts reach consensus. Third, the entropy weighting method is used to determine the relative objective weights of CPCs. Additionally, the CPC effect indexes are introduced to assess the overall effect of CPCs on performance reliability and obtain the HEP estimation. Finally, the reliability of the proposed CREAM is demonstrated via a healthcare practical case. The result shows that the new integrated CREAM can not only effectively represent experts' uncertain task state assessments but also determine more reliable HEP estimation in HRA. Alopecia is considered a widespread yet troubling health issue, with limited treatment options. As membranous structures derived from cells carrying proteins, nucleic acids and lipids, exosomes functionally medicate intercellular communication and alter the responses of recipient cells, resulting in disease restraint or promotion. Exosomes have broad prospects in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Studies using animal models and at the cellular level have clearly shown that exosomes from several types of cells, including dermal papilla cells and mesenchymal stem cells, have a notable capacity to promote hair growth, suggesting that exosomes may provide a new option to treat alopecia. An automated practical multi-objective optimisation scheme is proposed for ship hull modification. A shift transformation and a self-blending method are sequentially performed based on resistance objectives at multi-design speeds. The Lackenby variation alters hull forms and produces initial designs. Subsequently, self-blending method combines obtained ships to cover design space. All processes are automated by MATLAB coding that connects the ©Maxsurf modeller and ©Maxsurf Resistance in the case of panel method resistance calculation. After whole shape optimisation, the platform defines ship portions in the stern and bow regions. Particularly, an approximation modelling Least-Square approach is investigated to construct a surrogate model. Optimisation results indicate 11.26% cost function reduction contributes to 16.23% resistance reduction at lower speed and 6.12% resistance reduction at higher speed for a passenger catamaran boat. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the most prevalent malignancy of the digestive tract, is characterized by a high mortality rate and poor prognosis, primarily due to its initial diagnosis at an advanced stage that precludes any surgical intervention. Recent advancements in systemic therapies have significantly improved oncological outcomes for intermediate and advanced‐stage HCC, and the combination of locoregional and systemic therapies further facilitates tumor downstaging and increases the likelihood of surgical resectability for initially unresectable cases following conversion therapies. This shift toward high conversion rates with novel, multimodal treatment approaches has become a principal pathway for prolonged survival in patients with advanced HCC. However, the field of conversion therapy for HCC is marked by controversies, including the selection of potential surgical candidates, formulation of conversion therapy regimens, determination of optimal surgical timing, and application of adjuvant therapy post‐surgery. Addressing these challenges and refining clinical protocols and research in HCC conversion therapy is essential for setting the groundwork for future advancements in treatment strategies and clinical research. This narrative review comprehensively summarizes the current strategies and clinical experiences in conversion therapy for advanced‐stage HCC, emphasizing the unresolved issues and the path forward in the context of precision medicine. Background: Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF 1) is an autosomal-dominant tumor predisposition genetic disease affecting approximately 1 in 3000 live births. The condition could present various manifestations ranging from skin abnormalities to neurological tumors. The musculoskeletal system could also be frequently affected, and scoliosis is the most common orthopedic manifestation. Characterized by the early-onset and rapid progression tendency, NF 1-related dystrophic scoliosis presented discrepancies from idiopathic scoliosis in terms of natural history, clinical features, and management outcomes and thus required special attention. In the current study, the authors conducted a systemic review to outline the body of evidence of the natural history, clinical characteristics, surgical outcomes, and surgical complications of NF 1-induced scoliosis, aiming to provide an elucidative insight into this condition. Method: Systemic review and meta-analysis were conducted according to the latest Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The search was performed in Medline, Embase, and Web of Science Core Collection up to December 27, 2022, using related keywords. Clinical features such as frequencies, segmental involvement, and hereditary information were summarized and described qualitatively. Meta-analysis was conducted using R software and the 'meta' package to yield an overall outcome of efficacy and safety of surgical management, precisely, spinal fusion procedure and growing rods procedure. Corrective rate of Cobb angle, sagittal kyphosis angle, and T1-S1 length post-operative and at the last follow-up was used to evaluate the efficacy, and the occurrence of surgery-related complications was used to evaluate the safety. Result: A total of 37 articles involving 1023 patients were included. Approximately 26.6% of the NF 1 patients would present with scoliosis. Patients tend to develop scoliosis at an earlier age. The thoracic part turned out to be the most affected segment. No obvious correlation between scoliosis and genotype or hereditary type was observed. Both spinal fusion and growing rod surgery have shown acceptable treatment outcomes, with spinal fusion demonstrating better performance in terms of effectiveness and safety. The growing rods technique seemed to allow a better lengthening of the spine. The mainstay post-operative complications were implant-related complications but could be managed with limited revision surgery. Severe neurological deficits were rarely reported. Conclusion: Scoliosis, especially the subtype characterized by dystrophic bony changes, is a significant orthopedic manifestation of NF1. It has an early onset, a tendency to persistently and rapidly progress, and is challenging to deal with. The current review outlines the available evidence from the perspective of natural history, clinical features, and the treatment efficacy and safety of the mainstay surgical options. Background: Parotid gland carcinoma (PGC) is a rare malignant tumor. The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of immune-inflammatory-nutrition indicators and age-adjusted Charlson comorbidity index score (ACCI) of PGC and develop the nomogram model for predicting prognosis. Method: All patients diagnosed with PGC in two tertiary hospitals, treated with surgical resection, from March 2012 to June 2018 were obtained. Potential prognostic factors were identified by univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses. The nomogram models were established based on these identified independent prognostic factors. The performance of the developed prognostic model was estimated by related indexes and plots. Result: The study population consisted of 344 patients with PGC who underwent surgical resection, 285 patients without smoking (82.8%), and 225 patients (65.4%) with mucoepidermoid carcinoma, with a median age of 50.0 years. American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) stage (p < 0.001), pathology (p = 0.019), tumor location (p < 0.001), extranodal extension (ENE) (p < 0.001), systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) (p = 0.004), prognostic nutrition index (PNI) (p = 0.003), ACCI (p < 0.001), and Glasgow prognostic Score (GPS) (p = 0.001) were independent indicators for disease free survival (DFS). Additionally, the independent prognostic factors for overall survival (OS) including AJCC stage (p = 0.015), pathology (p = 0.004), tumor location (p < 0.001), perineural invasion (p = 0.009), ENE (p < 0.001), systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) (p = 0.001), PNI (p = 0.001), ACCI (p = 0.003), and GPS (p = 0.033). The nomogram models for predicting DFS and OS in PGC patients were generated based on these independent risk factors. All nomogram models show good discriminative capability with area under curves (AUCs) over 0.8 (DFS 0.802, and OS 0.825, respectively). Decision curve analysis (DCA), integrated discrimination improvement (IDI), and net reclassification index (NRI) show good clinical net benefit of the two nomograms in both training and validation cohorts. Kaplan-Meier survival analyses showed superior discrimination of DFS and OS in the new risk stratification system compared with the AJCC stage system. Finally, postoperative patients with PGC who underwent adjuvant radiotherapy had a better prognosis in the high-, and medium-risk subgroups (p < 0.05), but not for the low-risk subgroup. Conclusion: The immune-inflammatory-nutrition indicators and ACCI played an important role in both DFS and OS of PGC patients. Adjuvant radiotherapy had no benefit in the low-risk subgroup for PGC patients who underwent surgical resection. The newly established nomogram models perform well and can provide an individualized prognostic reference, which may be helpful for patients and surgeons in proper follow-up strategies. Fibroblast growth factor 5 (FGF5) plays key roles in promoting the transition from the anagen to catagen during the hair follicle cycle. The sheep serves as an excellent model for studying hair growth and is frequently utilized in various research processes related to human skin diseases. We used the CRISPR/Cas9 system to generate four FGF5-edited Dorper sheep and only low levels of FGF5 were detected in the edited sheep. The density of fine wool in GE sheep was markedly increased, and the proportion of fine wool with a diameter of 14.4–20.0 μm was significantly higher. The proliferation signal in the skin of gene-edited (GE) sheep was stronger than in wild-type (WT) sheep. FGF5 editing decreased cortisol concentration in the skin, further activated the activity of antioxidant enzymes such as Glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), and regulated the expression of Wnt signaling pathways containing Wnt agonists (Rspondins, Rspos) and antagonists (Notum) in hair regeneration. We suggest that FGF5 not only mediates the activation of antioxidant pathways by cortisol, which constitutes a highly coordinated microenvironment in hair follicle cells, but also influences key signals of the Wnt pathway to regulate secondary hair follicle (SHF) development. Overall, our findings here demonstrate that FGF5 plays a significant role in regulating SHF growth in sheep and potentially serves as a molecular marker of fine wool growth in sheep breeding. White adipose tissue is not only a highly heterogeneous organ containing various cells, such as adipocytes, adipose stem and progenitor cells, and immune cells, but also an endocrine organ that is highly important for regulating metabolic and immune homeostasis. In individuals with obesity, dynamic cellular changes in adipose tissue result in phenotypic switching and adipose tissue dysfunction, including pathological expansion, WAT fibrosis, immune cell infiltration, endoplasmic reticulum stress, and ectopic lipid accumulation, ultimately leading to chronic low‐grade inflammation and insulin resistance. Recently, many distinct subpopulations of adipose tissue have been identified, providing new insights into the potential mechanisms of adipose dysfunction in individuals with obesity. Therefore, targeting white adipose tissue as a therapeutic agent for treating obesity and obesity‐related metabolic diseases is of great scientific interest. Here, we provide an overview of white adipose tissue remodeling in individuals with obesity including cellular changes and discuss the underlying regulatory mechanisms of white adipose tissue metabolic dysfunction. Currently, various studies have uncovered promising targets and strategies for obesity treatment. We also outline the potential therapeutic signaling pathways of targeting adipose tissue and summarize existing therapeutic strategies for antiobesity treatment including pharmacological approaches, lifestyle interventions, and novel therapies. We reconstructed the Chandler Wobble (CW) from 1962 to 2022 by combining the Eigen-oscillator excited by geophysical fluids of atmospheric and oceanic angular momentums (AAM and OAM). The mass and motion terms for the AAM are further divided with respect to the land and ocean domains. Particular attention is placed on the time span from 2012 to 2022 in relation to the observable reduction in the amplitude of the CW. Our research indicates that the main contributor to the CW induced by AAM is the mass term (i.e., the pressure variations over land). Moreover, the phase of the AAM-induced CW remains relatively stable during the interval of 1962–2022. In contrast, the phase of the OAM-induced CW exhibits a periodic variation with a cycle of approximately 20 years. This cyclic variation would modulate the overall amplitude of the CW. The noticeable amplitude deduction over the past ten years can be attributed to the evolution of the CW driven by AAM and OAM, toward a state of cancellation. These findings further reveal that the variation in the phase difference between the CW forced by AAM and OAM, may be indicative of changes in the interaction between the solid Earth, atmosphere, and ocean. Purpose: During the period of COVID-19 pandemic, the social restrictions and isolation exerted a significant impact on the sleep quality of Chinese college students. This study aims to delve into the influence of physical activity on the sleep quality of college students as well as the mediating roles of stress and smartphone addiction. Materials and Methods: A cohort of 274 eligible college students (146 males and 128 females) were selected for the investigation. The International Physical Activity Questionnaire Short Form, Stress Perception Scale, Smartphone Addiction Scale, and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index were employed to assess the levels of physical activity, stress, smartphone addiction, and sleep quality among college students. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and chained mediation effect tests were performed sequentially. Results: The findings revealed: (1) a significant negative correlation between physical activity and stress, smartphone addiction, and sleep quality among college students (r = − 0.216, p < 0.001; r = − 0.224, p < 0.001; r = − 0.259, p < 0.001); (2) independent mediating roles of stress and smartphone addiction in the relationship between physical activity and sleep quality; and (3) chained mediating effects of stress and smartphone addiction in the association between physical activity and sleep quality. Conclusion: This study deepens our comprehension of how physical activity augments the quality of slumber, concurrently emphasizing that mitigating stress levels and alleviating smartphone addiction constitute effective strategies for preventing sleep issues among college students. This study aimed to explore the effect of sex and force level on grip force reproduction in healthy adults by conducting a force reproduction task. Participants (n = 28) were instructed to replicate a range of reference grip force levels (10-130 N in 10 N increments). We found that women (absolute error: 16.2 ± 8.7 N) replicated these force levels more accurately than men (absolute error: 23.1 ± 9.5 N) at higher force levels (90-130 N). Furthermore, the force reproductions were most accurate at the 30-50 N range for men and the 50-60 N range for women. These results may offer significant insights into the higher rates of musculoskeletal disorders among women, enabling researchers and clinicians to design novel interventions and tools that can improve grip force perception and reduce hand injury rates in both men and women. Aims: To investigate effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on the prospective memory (PM) in patients with schizophrenia (SCZ). Methods: Fifty of 71 patients completed this double‐blind placebo‐controlled randomized trial and compared with 18 healthy controls' (HCs) PM outcomes. Bilateral 20 Hz rTMS to the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex at 90% RMT administered 5 weekdays for 4 weeks for a total of 20 treatments. The Positive and Negative Symptom Scale (PANSS), the Scale for the Assessment of Negative Symptoms (SANS), and PM test were assessed before and after treatment. Results: Both Event‐based PM (EBPM) and Time‐based PM (TBPM) scores at baseline were significantly lower in patients with SCZ than that in HCs. After rTMS treatments, the scores of EBPM in patients with SCZ was significantly improved and had no differences from that in HCs, while the scores of TBPM did not improved. The negative symptom scores on PANSS and the scores of almost all subscales and total scores of SANS were significantly improved in both groups. Conclusions: Our findings indicated that bilateral high‐frequency rTMS treatment can alleviate EBPM but not TBPM in patients with SCZ, as well as improve the negative symptoms. Objectives: At the end of 2022, the COVID-19 outbreak erupted in China, and BA.5.2 or BF.7 subtypes of Omicron novel variations were implicated in more than 90% of the cases. We created a real-world questionnaire survey to better understand how this new variant pandemic was affecting rheumatic patients in China. Methods: During the COVID-19 outbreak in China, the subjects of this study were rheumatic patients and non-rheumatic individuals (control group), who were matched for sex and age. Professional physicians carefully questioned the participants before administering a questionnaire as part of the study. This study focused on the general baseline characteristics, clinical symptoms and treatment after COVID-19 infection, and the target populations' awareness of COVID-19. Results: The study included 1130 participants, of whom 572 were assigned to the rheumatic group and 558 to the control group. The percentage of vaccinated controls was significantly higher than that of rheumatic patients (90.1% vs. 62.8%, p < 0.001), while the rate of COVID-19 infection was not significantly different between the two groups (82.3% vs. 86.6%, p = 0.051). Patients with rheumatic disease experienced substantially more days of fever following infection (2.87 ± 3.42 vs. 2.18 ± 1.65, p = 0.002) compared to individuals in the control group. The rheumatic patients had a greater prevalence of cough (67.1% vs. 54.0%, p < 0.001), somnipathy (13.8% vs. 6.0%, p < 0.001), and conjunctivitis/ophthalmodynia (5.3% vs. 2.1%, p = 0.008), while dry throat/throat pain/weakness (49.9% vs. 59.4%, p = 0.003), myalgia/osteodynia (33.3% vs. 41.8%, p = 0.003), and dyspnea (14.0% vs. 25.3%, p < 0.001) were more likely to occur in non-rheumatic group after infection. Human immunoglobulin (2.1% vs. 0.2%, p = 0.006), glucocorticoids (19.5% vs. 1.6%, p < 0.001), oxygen support (6.8% vs. 2.1%, p < 0.001), and traditional Chinese medicine (21.9% vs. 16.6%, p = 0.037) were all more frequently used by rheumatic patients with COVID-19 infection. People in the control group were more confused about whether to use masks in following social activities after contracting COVID-19 (14.7% vs. 7.6%, p = 0.001). In the control group, more individuals than patients with rheumatic disease (25.1% vs. 13.4%, p < 0.001) expressed an interest to receive the vaccine again. After being exposed to COVID-19, the majority of rheumatic patients (66.9%) reported no discernible change, only 29.1% reported a worsening of their symptoms, and the remaining 4% indicated an improvement. Conclusions: After the COVID-19 outbreak in China, the proportion of patients with rheumatic diseases infected with the virus was similar to that of normal individuals. But the clinical symptoms, follow-up treatment requirements, and awareness of the COVID-19 among rheumatic patients were distinct from those among non-rheumatic patients, necessitating the use of individualized diagnosis and treatment plans as well as health advice by medical professionals in clinical work. The pomelo industry is a pillar industry in Pinghe County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. In order to disperse the operational risks of local pomelo production, based on the pomelo production in Pinghe County of Zhangzhou City from 1985 to 2022 and the weather data from the middle ten days March to the first ten days of August of the corresponding year, the original data of pomelo yield per unit area was decomposed into trend yield per unit area and meteorological yield per unit area. The original data of yield per unit area was adjusted to convert it to the yield per unit area under the productivity level of 2024. The kernel density estimation method was used to fit the probability density function of the sequence and used for the determination of pure rate. Then, the correlation analysis was carried out by using the adjusted yield per unit area and weather data to screen the significant weather index. The results showed that the linear relationship between the rainfall index and the adjusted yield per unit area was the most significant in the middle and last ten days of April. For the agreed insurance output of 51000 kg⋅hm-2 and the insurance price of 2.8 yuan⋅kg-1 in 2024, that was, the insurance amount per 666.7 m² was 9520 yuan, the determined pure premium rate was 4.0191%, and the insurance rate was 4.6220%. Purpose: Plastic bronchitis (PB), a rare complication of respiratory infection characterized by the formation of casts in the tracheobronchial tree, can lead to airway obstruction and severe condition. Adenovirus is one of the common pathogens of PB caused by infection. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical features and risk factors for PB in children with severe adenovirus pneumonia. Methods: A retrospective study of children with severe adenovirus pneumonia with bronchoscopy results at Guangzhou Women and Children's Hospital between January 2018 and January 2020 was performed. Based on bronchoscopy, we divided children with severe adenovirus pneumonia into two groups: PB and non-PB. Binary logistic regression analysis was used to identify independent risk factors for PB in patients with severe adenovirus pneumonia after univariate analysis. Results: Our study examined 156 patients with severe adenovirus pneumonia with bronchoscopy results in hospital. Among them, 18 developed PB and 138 did not. On multivariate analysis, the independent risk factors of PB in children with severe adenovirus pneumonia were history of allergies (OR 10.147, 95% CI 1.727– 59.612; P=0.010), diminished breath sounds (OR 12.856, 95% CI 3.259– 50.713; P=0.001), and increased proportion of neutrophils (> 70%; OR 8.074, 95% CI 1.991– 32.735; P=0.003). Conclusion: Children with severe adenovirus pneumonia with a history of allergies, diminished breath sounds, and increased the proportion of neutrophils > 70% may show higher risk of PB. The diffusion of oil vapor after oil spill from tank caused serious consequences. It is studied by combining wind tunnel experiment and numerical simulation. Results show that the higher the fire dike, the more oil vapor accumulates at the inner corner of fire dike; the explosion limit area is the largest when the oil spills in front of single tank on the windward side; concentration of multi-spills will superimpose to induce the presenting of multi-explosion limit areas. Background: Lip squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) was one of the most common cancer types of head and neck tumors. This study aimed to find more predictors of the prognosis in postoperative LSCC patients. Methods: A total of 147 LSCC patients between June 2012 and June 2018 were collected from two tertiary care institutions. There were 21 clinicopathological factors included and analyzed in our study. The univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses were performed to find the independent prognostic factors for predicting progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) in postoperative LSCC patients. The role of adjuvant radiotherapy in various subgroups was displayed by Kaplan–Meier plots. Results: The 1-, 3-, and 5-year PFS of postoperative LSCC patients were 88.4%, 70.1%, and 57.8%, respectively. Similarly, the 1-, 3-, and 5-year OS of postoperative LSCC patients were 94.6%, 76.9%, and 69.4%, respectively. The results suggested that postoperative LSCC patients with age at diagnosis ≥ 70 years, grade with moderate or poor differentiate, the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) stage IV, higher systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), surgical margin < 5, and age-adjusted Charlson Comorbidity Index (ACCI) ≥ 5 tend to have a poorer PFS (all P < 0.05). Besides, postoperative LSCC patients with age at diagnosis ≥ 70 years, AJCC stage IV, higher GPS, higher SII, and ACCI ≥ 5 tend to have a worse OS (all P < 0.05). Additionally, postoperative patients with LSCC in the subgroup of ACCI < 5 and AJCC III–IV stage was more likely to benefit from adjuvant radiotherapy, but not for the other subgroups. Conclusion: We identified a series of significant immune-inflammation-related and comorbidity-related clinicopathological factors associated with the prognosis of postoperative LSCC patients by local data from two tertiary care institutions in China, which can be helpful for patients and surgeons to pay more attention to nutrition, inflammation, and complications and finally obtained a better prognosis. Background: Quadriceps training is necessary in function and activity of daily living for patients with knee osteoarthritis (KOA). However, it did not reduce the rate of surgical treatment for end-stage KOA in the long term. This may be related to brain structure changes and maladaptive plasticity in KOA patients. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) could enhance the functional connectivity of brain regions and improves maladaptive plasticity. However, the synergistic effect of the combination of the two for treat KOA is still unclear. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate whether the High-Frequency rTMS combined with quadriceps strength training can improve the pain and function in KOA more effectively than quadriceps training alone and explore the mechanism of action. Methods: This study is an assessor-blind, sham-controlled, randomized controlled trial involving 12 weeks of intervention and 6 months follow-up. 148 participants with KOA will receive usual care management and be randomized into four subgroups equally, including quadriceps strength training, high-frequency rTMS training, sham rTMS and quadriceps strength training, high-frequency rTMS and quadriceps strength training. The rehabilitation interventions will be carried out 5 days per week for a total of 12 weeks. All outcomes will be measured at baseline, 4 weeks, 8 weeks, and 12 weeks during the intervention and 1 month, 3 months and 6 months during the follow-up period. The effectiveness outcomes will be included visual analog scale, isokinetic knee muscle strength, Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome score and 36-Item Short-Form Health Survey score; The act mechanism outcomes will be included motor evoked potential, grey matter density, white matter, subcortical nuclei volumes, cortical thickness and functional connectivity by MRI. Two-way of variance with repeated measures will be used to test the group and time effect for outcome measures. Discussion: The study will be the first protocol to examine whether there are synergistic effects following high-frequency rTMS combined with quadriceps strength training for treat KOA and clarify the mechanism of action. Dendrocalamus liboensis Hsueh & D. Z. Li 1985 is a unique member of the Bambusoideae subfamily found in Guizhou, China. The species has both economic importance and ornamental value. This study represents the first report of the sequencing and assembly of the complete chloroplast genome of D. liboensis. The total length of the genome was 139,483 bp, with a conventional quadripartite framework consisting of a large single-copy (LSC) region (83,001 bp in length), a small single-copy (SSC) region (12,896 bp in length), and two inverted repeats (IR) regions (both 21,793 bp in length). Overall, the D. liboensis chloroplast genome contained 128 functional genes, including 83 protein-coding genes, 37 tRNAs, and 8 rRNAs. Phylogenetic analysis showed that D. liboensis closely resembled D. sapidus, with both found on a strongly supported branch of the phylogenetic tree. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Centrifugal partition chromatography in the pH‐zone‐refining mode was successfully applied to the separation of alkaloids from the crude extract of Corydalis decumbens. The experiment was performed with a two‐phase solvent system composed of petroleum ether‐ethyl acetate‐ethanol‐water (5:5:3:7, v/v/v/v) where triethylamine (10 mM) was added to the stationary phase and hydrochloric acid (10 mM) to the mobile phase. From 1.6 g of the crude extract, 43 mg protopine, 189 mg (+)‐egenine, and 158 mg tetrahydropalmatine were obtained with a purity of 98.2%, 94.6%, and 96.7%, respectively. Tetrahydropalmatine showed an interesting anticomplement effect with CH50 0.11 and AP50 0.25 mg/mL, respectively. Nuclear receptor subfamily 1, group D, member 1 (NR1D1, also known as REV-ERBα) belongs to the nuclear receptor (NR) family, and is a heme-binding component of the circadian clock that consolidates circadian oscillators. In addition to repressing the transcription of multiple clock genes associated with circadian rhythms, NR1D1 has a wide range of downstream target genes that are intimately involved in many physiopathological processes, including autophagy, immunity, inflammation, metabolism and aging in multiple organs. This review focuses on the pivotal role of NR1D1 as a key transcription factor in the gene regulatory network, with particular emphasis on the milestones of the latest discoveries of NR1D1 ligands. NR1D1 is considered as a promising drug target for treating diverse diseases and may contribute to research on innovative biomarkers and therapeutic targets for organ injury-related diseases. This study aimed to compare higher-order aberrations (HOAs) after small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) in patients with different angle kappa. This is a retrospective report in which 341 right eyes of 341 patients who were subjected to SMILE, which used coaxially sighted corneal light reflex (CSCLR) as the treatment zone centered, treated by the same experienced surgeon (LHB) for correction of myopia and myopic astigmatism, preoperative and postoperative spherical equivalent (SE), angle kappa, total higher-order aberrations (total HOA), spherical aberration (SA), vertical coma (VC), horizontal coma (HC), oblique trefoil (OT), and horizontal trefoil (HT), were compared. SMILE showed outstanding performance in terms of safety, efficacy, and predictability. In addition, a comparison of preoperative and postoperative HOAs exhibited the difference of total HOA (P < 0.01), SA (P < 0.01), VC (P < 0.01), and HC (P < 0.01), which was statistically significant; however, for OT and HT with the longer follow-up time, the statistical difference gradually decreased. For stratification of angle kappa into groups based on decantation, angle kappa was divided into three major groups: r < 0.1 mm, 0.1 ≤ r < 0.2 mm, and r ≥ 0.2 mm; the changes of SA (F = 4.127, P = 0.021) and OT (F = 3.687, P = 0.031) exhibited significant difference after 1 year of SMILE. We performed a correlation analysis of all preoperative and postoperative parameters, and the results indicated that the preoperative total HOA was negatively correlated with preoperative cylindrical diopter (DC), and postoperative total HOA, SA, and coma were affected by spherical diopter (DS) and SE. Moreover, we also found a significant difference of SA and VC in the early postoperative with preoperative. SA was positively correlated with Y values and r of 1 year after SMILE. All of the analyzed parameters in the three groups, except for the trefoil, gradually increased over time; however, the trefoil could gradually stabilize over time. We also divided angle kappa into four groups by quadrants; the result showed that the effects of higher-order aberrations were markedly different from the various quadrants. Patients with large angle kappa were able to increase VC and SA postoperatively, and higher HOAs were more significant in patients with high myopia. The differences in quadrants exhibited a diversity of HOAs; this could be attributed to the corneal surface reestablishment and the alteration of angle kappa, but the trend was not apparent. Although all patients displayed increased HOAs after SMILE, the potential application of CSCLR as the treatment zone centered still showed excellent safety, efficacy, and predictability. We aimed to investigate the predictive validity of monocyte to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio (MHR) for coronary artery lesions (CALs) and intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) resistance in complete Kawasaki disease (KD). MHR values of a total of 207 complete KD patients were calculated and analyzed with regard to their clinical characteristics and outcomes. We compared the differences in clinical data and laboratory parameters between CAL+ group and CAL- group as well as between IVIG-resistant group and IVIG-responsive group. Spearman's correlation analysis was applied to evaluate the correlation between C-reactive protein (CRP) and MHR. Multivariate logistic regression was used to identify risk factors of CALs and IVIG resistance. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was chosen to determine the optimal cut-off value of MHR and its validity in predicting CALs and IVIG resistance. The MHR level was significantly higher in the CAL+ group, with cut-off value of 1.30 g/L, yielding a sensitivity of 0.753 and specificity of 0.805, as well as in IVIG-resistant group, with cut-off value of 1.03 g/L, yielding a sensitivity of 0.97 and specificity of 0.485. Multivariate logistic regression showed that MHR was an independent risk factor for CALs but not for IVIG resistance. According to the Spearman's correlation analysis, CRP was positively correlated with the MHR. Conclusions: As a practical, cost-effective inflammatory biomarker, MHR has a significantly predictive value in complete KD children complicated with CALs and IVIG-resistance. Paying more attention to the changes of MHR in KD children may contribute to better understanding of KD development and prognosis in clinical practice. What is Known: • CALs are the most prevalent serious sequela of KD, and approximately 10%~20% of patients do not respond to IVIG therapy. • MHR could be a convenient biomarker to predict the development and progression of CVDs. Objective : The aim of this study was to compare craniofacial soft tissue characteristics between subjects with unrepaired submucous cleft palate (SMCP) and noncleft individuals. Design : This retrospective cross-sectional study was performed on 27 subjects with unrepaired SMCP (13 male and 14 female subjects; mean age, 21.77 ± 4.09 years) and 30 noncleft controls (14 male and 16 female subjects; mean age, 22.67 ± 4.28 years). The predictor variable was cleft deformity. The outcome variable was cephalometric soft tissue measurements. Other study variables were gender and age. Independent samples t test and Mann-Whitney U test were used for intergroup comparison. P value was set at.05. Results : Significant differences were observed in the facial profile angle, total facial profile angle, soft tissue A-N-B angle, nasal base prominence, upper lip length, lower lip protrusion, and the ratio of upper lip length to mentolabial height between subjects with unoperated SMCP and noncleft controls. Background: Lymph node metastasis (LNM) is a critical prognostic factor in resectable pancreatic cancer (PC) patients, determining treatment strategies. This study aimed to develop a clinical model to adequately and accurately predict the risk of LNM in PC patients. Methods: 13,200 resectable PC patients were enrolled from the SEER (Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results) database, and randomly divided into a training group and an internal validation group at a ratio of 7:3. An independent group (n = 62) obtained from The First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical University was enrolled as the external validation group. The univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to screen independent risk factors for LNM. The minimum Akaike's information criterion (AIC) was performed to select the optimal model parameters and construct a nomogram for assessing the risk of LNM. The performance of the nomogram was assessed by the receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curve, calibration plot, and decision curve analysis (DCA). In addition, an online web calculator was designed to assess the risk of LNM. Result: A total of six risk predictors (including age at diagnosis, race, primary site, grade, histology, and T-stage) were identified and included in the nomogram. The areas under the curves (AUCs) [95% confidential interval (CI)] were 0.711 (95%CI: 0.700–0.722), 0.700 (95%CI: 0.683–0.717), and 0.845 (95%CI: 0.749–0.942) in the training, internal validation and external validation groups, respectively. The calibration curves showed satisfied consistency between nomogram-predicted LNM and actual observed LNM. The concordance indexes (C-indexes) in the training, internal, and external validation sets were 0.689, 0.686, and 0.752, respectively. The DCA curves of the nomogram demonstrated good clinical utility. Conclusion: We constructed a nomogram model for predicting LNM in pancreatic cancer patients, which may help oncologists and surgeons to choose more individualized clinical treatment strategies and make better clinical decisions. Objective To explore and analyze the influencing factors of multi-disciplinary team (MDT) model in treatment of severe traumatic brain injury (sTBI) with severe multiple injuries, and to summarize the diagnosis and treatment experience. Methods Total 144 patients of sTBI with severe multiple injuries treated in a MDT model at The Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University from January 2016 to June 2021 were included. Glasgow Outcome Scale (GOS) was used to assess prognosis at discharge, univariate and multivariate stepwise Logistic regression analyses were used to screen for influencing factors postoperative prognosis. Results A total of 144 patients were divided into good prognosis group (n = 101) and poor prognosis group (n = 43) according to the GOS score at discharge. The poor prognosis group included hypertension (P = 0.003), diabetes (P = 0.004), smoking (P = 0.000), drinking (P = 0.000), traumatic shock (P = 0.009) and brain hernia formation (P = 0.000), combined chest injury (P = 0.046), abdominal injury (P = 0.000) and spinal injury (P = 0.009), the proportion of concurrent pulmonary infections (P = 0.031), multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS, P = 0.004), ventilator - assisted ventilation (P = 0.005), and tracheostomy (P = 0.005) during treatment were higher than those in good prognosis group, while the proportion of Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score (P = 0.000) and brain contusion and laceration (P = 0.013) at admission were lower than those in good prognosis group. Logistic regression analysis showed diabetes (OR = 4.119, 95%CI: 2.632-5.832; P = 0.042), abdominal injury (OR = 1.183, 95%CI: 1.000-1.269; P = 0.006), low GCS score at admission (OR = 4.949, 95%CI: 1.609-15.218; P = 0.005), and MODS during treatment (OR = 4.642, 95%CI: 4.068-5.216; P = 0.008) were risk factors for poor prognosis of patients of sTBI with severe multiple injuries, while tracheotomy was a protective factor for good prognosis (OR = 0.223, 95%CI: 0.062-0.384; P = 0.007). Conclusions sTBI with severe multiple injuries is complicated and difficult to treat. Diabetes, combined with abdominal injury, low GCS score at admission, and MODS during treatment are risk factors for poor prognosis of patients of sTBI with severe multiple injuries under MDT. Objective: The aim of the study was to investigate the utility of the Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status (RBANS), evaluate cognitive deficits in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients and examine the relationship between cognitive and olfactory functions. Methods: 55 SLE patients and 50 healthy controls were administered by RBANS including five indexes: immediate memory (IMME), visuospatial/constructional (Vis/Con), language (LANG), attention (ATT), and delayed memory (DEME). Olfactory functions were evaluated by computerized testing including three stages of smell: threshold (THR), identification (ID), and memory (ME) of different odors. The disease activity and cumulative damage were assessed by the SLE Disease Activity Index 2000 (SLEDAI-2K) and the Systemic Lupus International Collaborating Clinics (SLICC)/American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Damage Index (SDI). Results: SLE patients exhibited significant lower total RBANS scores, IMME, Vis/Con, ATT, and DEME index scores than healthy controls (p < 0.01 for all and p = 0.027 for attention). Reduced RBANS scores were associated with several organ involvement and autoantibodies. SLE patients with higher SLEDAI-2K scores or with accumulated damage (SDI≥1) showed decreased RBANS scores. All the olfactory scores in SLE patients were significantly decreased than controls (p = 0.001). Patients had higher proportion of anosmia (8.57% vs 0%) and hyposmia (28.58% vs 5.72%) than controls (χ2 = 10.533, p = 0.015). Multivariable regression analysis revealed that olfactory functions had a positive effect on RBANS index scores. Olfactory memory and total scores were significantly correlated with the DEME (r = 0.393, p = 0.021) and total scores (r = 0.429, p = 0.011). Conclusion: This study indicates that significantly cognitive and olfactory functions are impaired in SLE patients. The RBANS is a potentially useful instrument for evaluating neuropsychological status in SLE. The basic physical and chemical qualities, nutrition, aroma components, and sensory evaluation of 17 varieties of table grapes were studied. The quality evaluation system of different table grape varieties was preliminarily determined. Our results show that the soluble solid content in Ruby Seedless was 21.17%, which was higher than that of other varieties. The black varieties Aishenmeigui and Sweet Sapphire had the highest total phenol content. Aishenmeigui had high levels of tannin and vitamin C. In addition, the aroma contents in Meixiangbao, Ruby Seedless, and Shine-Muscat were higher than those in other varieties. Manicure Finger and Ruby Seedless had higher levels of C6 compounds. Moreover, the "Kyoho" series of grape Meixiangbao, Sunmmer Black, Jumeigui, Hutai 8 hao, and Black Beet were high in ester content, while Muscat varieties, including Zaoheibao, Aishenmeigui, Jumeigui, and Shine-Muscat were rich in terpene substances. Ruby Seedless, Shine-Muscat, and Heibaladuo had higher comprehensive scores in sensory evaluation. Hence, the comprehensive quality of Shine-Muscat, Ruby Seedless, and Aishenmeigui was better. The latest International Maritime Organization strategies aim to reduce 70% of the CO2 emissions and 50% of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions from maritime activities by 2050, compared to 2008 levels. The EU has set up goals to reduce GHG emissions by at least 55% by 2030, compared to 1990, and achieve net-zero GHG emissions by 2050. The UK aims to achieve more than 68% GHG emission reduction by 2030 and net-zero GHG emissions by 2050. There are many solutions under development to tackle the challenge of meeting the latest decarbonization strategies from the IMO, EU, and UK, among which are hydrogen powered marine vessels. This paper presents a life cycle analysis study for hydrogen fuelled vessels by evaluating their performance in terms of environmental friendliness and economic feasibility. The LCA study will consider the gas emissions and costs during the life stages of the ships, including the construction, operation, maintenance, and recycling phases of the selected vessels. The results of the comparisons with the conventional version of the ships (driven by diesel generators) demonstrate the benefits of using hydrogen for marine transportation: over 80% emission reduction and around 60% life cycle cost savings. A sensitivity analysis shows that the prices of fuels and carbon credits can affect the life cycle cost, and recommendations for low H2 price and high carbon credit in the future are provided to attract the industry to adopt the new fuel. This paper proposes an improved target detection algorithm, SDE-YOLO, based on the YOLOv5s framework, to address the low detection accuracy, misdetection, and leakage in blood cell detection caused by existing single-stage and two-stage detection algorithms. Initially, the Swin Transformer is integrated into the back-end of the backbone to extract the features in a better way. Then, the 32 × 32 network layer in the path-aggregation network (PANet) is removed to decrease the number of parameters in the network while increasing its accuracy in detecting small targets. Moreover, PANet substitutes traditional convolution with depth-separable convolution to accurately recognize small targets while maintaining a fast speed. Finally, replacing the complete intersection over union (CIOU) loss function with the Euclidean intersection over union (EIOU) loss function can help address the imbalance of positive and negative samples and speed up the convergence rate. The SDE-YOLO algorithm achieves a mAP of 99.5%, 95.3%, and 93.3% on the BCCD blood cell dataset for white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets, respectively, which is an improvement over other single-stage and two-stage algorithms such as SSD, YOLOv4, and YOLOv5s. The experiment yields excellent results, and the algorithm detects blood cells very well. The SDE-YOLO algorithm also has advantages in accuracy and real-time blood cell detection performance compared to the YOLOv7 and YOLOv8 technologies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Temperature and humidity (TH) post‐treatment is a relatively mild way to change the silk fibroin (SF) secondary structure. Here, urease is immobilized in SF scaffold (SFS) by TH post‐treatment, and the effects of annealing on the immobilized urease activity are examined. Fourier transform infrared indicates that the SFS secondary structure started to transform when the scaffold is annealed at 35 °C with 100% relative humidity for 20 min. The higher the temperature, the lower the treatment time is required to change SFS structure. Compared to methanol annealing, TH post‐treatment maintains the original form of the sample, and the scaffold shows better water‐binding abilities. The maximum recovery ratio of immobilized urease is 98.4 ± 7.0%, which is obtained after the scaffold is postprocessed at 35 °C for 60 min, and the relative recovery ratio of the urease activity is still as high as 80.6 ± 12.1% after repeatedly measuring 10 times. In addition, the relative recovery ratio of urease is not significantly decrease within 4 weeks of storage. Therefore, TH annealing is a relatively mild and effective way to immobilize urease in SFS. The urease‐immobilized SFS with hydrophilic properties and prolonged enzyme activity may be used for peritoneal dialysate regeneration systems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Marine prokaryotes are a rich source of novel bioactive secondary metabolites for drug discovery. Recent genome mining studies have revealed their great potential to bio-synthesize novel secondary metabolites. However, the exact biosynthetic chemical space encoded by the marine prokaryotes has yet to be systematically evaluated. Results: We first investigated the secondary metabolic potential of marine prokaryotes by analyzing the diversity and novelty of the biosynthetic gene clusters (BGCs) in 7541 prokaryotic genomes from cultivated and single cells, along with 26,363 newly assembled medium-to-high-quality genomes from marine environmental samples. To quantitatively evaluate the unexplored biosynthetic chemical space of marine prokaryotes, the clustering thresholds for constructing the biosynthetic gene cluster and molecular networks were optimized to reach a similar level of the chemical similarity between the gene cluster family (GCF)-encoded metabolites and molecular family (MF) scaffolds using the MIBiG database. The global genome mining analysis demonstrated that the predicted 70,011 BGCs were organized into 24,536 mostly new (99.5%) GCFs, while the reported marine prokaryotic natural products were only classified into 778 MFs at the optimized clustering thresholds. The number of MF scaffolds is only 3.2% of the number of GCF-encoded scaffolds, suggesting that at least 96.8% of the secondary metabolic potential in marine prokaryotes is untapped. The unexplored biosynthetic chemical space of marine prokaryotes was illustrated by the 88 potential novel antimicrobial peptides encoded by ribosomally synthesized and post-translationally modified peptide BGCs. Furthermore, a sea-water-derived Aquimarina strain was selected to illustrate the diverse biosynthetic chemical space through untargeted metabolomics and genomics approaches, which identified the potential biosynthetic pathways of a group of novel polyketides and two known compounds (didemnilactone B and macrolactin A 15-ketone). Exploring the relationship between climate phenomena and anomalies in Earth's rotation during a corresponding period is helpful for constraining the assessment of global change, even for the early warning of climate events. This study selected the latest length of day changes (ΔLOD) observations, and extracted the interannual terms solely related to climatic variations, employing a difference plus frequency domain stepwise regression (Difference+FDSR) method. Afterward, we calculated the correlations of different data compositions between surface fluid contributions (AAM, OAM and HAM) and the climate-related ΔLOD. Finally, the anomalies during the period of 1993–2023 were focused on, by comparing the high-precision fluid forcing and the climate-related ΔLOD with El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) indices. Our results show that superimposing the HAM can improve fluid correlations ~5% with climate-related ΔLOD, but the OAM contribution is not obvious. Additionally, we detected a triple-dip La Niña in the last 3 years, and the corresponding minimum values of climate-related ΔLOD were between −0.11 and −0.23 ms. Furthermore, we investigated the short-term forecast of a climate event with ΔLOD predictions based on the climate change information on Earth's rotation rate, wherein a follow-up El Niño is indicated. The application of walnut protein is limited due to its poor water solubility and low yield. Five proteases, neutral protease, papain, bromelain, trypsin and protein glutaminase, were selected to carry out limited enzymatic hydrolysis reaction on walnut protein, and the modified walnut protein was applied to prepare the emulsion. The results showed that the solubility and emulsification of walnut protein were significantly improved after modification. Neutral protease modified protein (WP-Z) had the best emulsification and high stability. SDS-PAGE results showed that the macromolecular subunits of walnut protein were partially decomposed after limited enzymatic hydrolysis. After the modification, the particle size of the emulsion was reduced to 5~8 ^m, and micro-volume of oil droplets was reduced. In addition, the dispersion was more uniform, and the emulsion index was greatly reduced, which did not exceed 10% in 30 days. By comprehensive analysis, the particle size of the emulsion prepared by WP-Z was moderate, which was more suitable for the preparation of emulsion. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
