Introduction: This study explores the effectiveness of music therapy in repairing psychological trauma in bereaved families, aiming to provide a comprehensive understanding of its potential therapeutic impact. It begins with an analysis of the current situation faced by bereaved families, identifying the psychological challenges they experience. Methods: The research design included the recruitment of participants from bereaved families, who were then divided into an experimental group and a control group. An optimized Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) network model was constructed to analyze music therapy data, tailored specifically to capture the nuances of this therapeutic process. The experimental procedure detailed the specific operations involved in the music therapy sessions and established a clear comparison framework between the two groups. Results: The performance of the proposed LSTM model demonstrated high accuracy (0.85), precision (0.86), recall (0.84), and F1-score (0.85), indicating its effectiveness in predicting treatment outcomes. When compared to the Self-Reporting Inventory-90 (SCL-90) scale, the model captured the trend of treatment effects with a high level of accuracy and reliability. Notably, participants numbered 2, 6, and 8 in the experimental group showed substantial improvement rates of 67.21%, 71.45%, and 75.67%, respectively, in their psychological health issues. Discussion: The comparative analysis between the experimental and control groups confirmed that the music therapy approach, as guided by the proposed LSTM model, led to a more significant improvement in psychological health issues for bereaved families. Introduction: With the growing interest in the psychological basis of language learning, this study aims to validate the Chinese version of the Language Mindset Inventory (LMI) among Chinese university students. Methods: A sample of 476 students from various universities in mainland China was used. The translation process followed the forward-backward method. Confirmatory factor analyses (CFAs) were conducted to evaluate the factor structure. The internal consistency of the LMI was assessed using Cronbach's alpha, and convergent validity was examined through correlations with established mindset measures. Results: Compared with the one-factor model, the two-factor model which distinguishes between fixed and growth mindsets, showed an acceptable and better fit index. The overall Cronbach's alpha for the full scale was 0.954, with 0.929 for the fixed mindset dimension and 0.903 for the growth mindset dimension. AVE values for the fixed and growth dimensions were 0.597 and 0.510, respectively. Correlations showed that the growthmindset dimension was significantly positively associated with the 8-Item Growth Mindset Scale (r = 0.186, p < 0.01) and the Mindset Scale for Learning English (r = 0.149, p < 0.01), while the fixed mindset dimension was negatively associated with both scales (r = -0.228 and r = -0.169, p < 0.01). Discussion: This study confirms the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the LMI, making it a relevant tool for assessing language learning mindsets among Chinese university students. Objective: Cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) 4 and 6 inhibitors (abemaciclib, palbociclib and ribociclib) have been recommended in the first-line treatment of hormone receptor-positive (HR+) breast cancer in China. Our study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of CDK4/6 inhibitors by processing survival data using fractional polynomial modeling methods. Methods: Phase II or III randomized controlled trials in treatment-naive HR + patients with advanced breast cancer were systematically searched through the preset search strategy. The fractional polynomial (FP) model was used to relax the proportional hazard assumption and obtain time-varying hazard ratio (HR). Progression-free life years (PFLYs) and life years (LYs) were calculated from the area under curve (AUC) of the predicted progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) curves to evaluate the long-term efficacy benefit. Odds ratio (OR) of grade≥3 adverse events were analyzed for safety outcomes. Results: 6 randomized controlled trials with 2,638 patients were included. The first-order FP model (p = -1) and the first-order FP model (p = 1) were used to calculate the time-varying HR of PFS and OS, respectively. Extrapolating to 240 months, abemaciclib obtained a PFS benefit of 3.059 PFLYs and 6.275 LYs by calculating the AUC of the PFS and OS curves. Palbociclib obtained 2.302 PFLYs and 6.351 LYs. Ribociclib obtained 2.636 PFLYs and 6.543 LYs. In terms of safety, the use of CDK4/6 inhibitors resulted in a higher risk of adverse events (OR = 9.84, 95% CI: 8.13-11.95), especially for palbociclib (OR = 14.04, 95% CI: 10.52-18.90). Conclusion: The use of CDK4/6 inhibitors in treatment-naive patients with HR + advanced breast cancer significantly improves survival, but also increases the risk of adverse events. A hydrogel is an ideal matrix material for flexible electronic devices, electronic skin and health detection devices due to its outstanding flexibility and stretchability. However, hydrogel-based flexible electronic devices swell once they are placed in a high humidity or underwater environment. The swelling behavior could damage the internal structure of hydrogels, ultimately leading to the reduction or complete loss of mechanical properties, electrical conductivity and sensing function. In order to resolve the above problems, a double network ionogel with remarkable anti-swelling behavior, stretchability and conductive properties was prepared. The ionogel consisted of gelatin (G) and copolymerization of acrylic acid (AA), 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA), butyl acrylate (BA), dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate maleate (D) and N,N'-methylene-bis-acrylamide (MBAA). Due to the dense crosslinking network and hydrophobic interaction, the ionogel exhibited remarkable anti-swelling properties (7.64% of the 30-day equilibrium swelling ratio in deionized water). D and MBAA were simultaneously introduced into the ionogel system as cross-linking agents to provide a large number of cross-linking points, improving the cross-linking density of the ionogel. Importantly, the introduction of D avoided ionic leakage by free radical copolymerization. Furthermore, the ionogel maintained stable mechanical properties and conductivity after being submerged in deionized water owing to remarkable anti-swelling performance. The mechanical properties of the ionogel retained 89.75% of the initial mechanical properties after a 5-day immersion in deionized water. Introduction: Eplerenone is approved for the treatment of hypertension as well as symptomatic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) following an acute myocardial infarction. However, the adverse events (AEs) have not been systematically analyzed. The aim of this study was to identify adverse drug reactions (ADRs) related to eplerenone using the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) database. By identifying previously unreported AEs, the study could potentially contribute to updating the drug's label. Methods: In order to find significant AEs, four algorithms, including Reporting Odds Ratio (ROR), Proportional Reporting Ratio (PRR), Bayesian Confidence Propagation Neural Network (BCPNN) and Empirical Bayesian Geometric Mean (EBGM), were used to analyze the signal strength of the ADRs connected to eplerenone that were gathered from the FAERS database over the previous 20 years. Results: From 2004Q1 to 2023Q4, a total of 20, 629, 811 reported cases were gathered from the FAERS database for this study. After processing the data and filtering, 1,874 case reports were analyzed. Of these cases, 1,070 AEs were identified, 128 of which were eplerenone-related ADRs. We investigated the occurrence of ADRs induced by eplerenone in 27 organ systems. Our study showed that the AEs listed in the medication's package insert correspond with those listed in the literature, including hyperkalemia and increased creatinine. Additionally, the prescription label for eplerenone does not include all system organ class (SOC) terms, like Vascular disorders, hepatobiliary Disorders, etc. Discussion: The study used multiple algorithms to quantify the signal strength and then identified any previously unrecognized ADRs, further studies are needed to confirm the association of ADRs with eplerenone. The findings of this study may provide important insights into the safety profile of eplerenone, ensure that healthcare providers have up-to-date information about their potential risks and help guide them in the correct use of the drug. With the proposal of dual carbon goals, enhancing carbon sinks and reducing carbon emissions has become a critical issue. Fisheries, as a component of agriculture, possess the dual attributes of being a “carbon sink” (biological carbon fixation) and a “carbon source” (the carbon emissions from fishing vessels). Therefore, it is necessary to assess the carbon sink and carbon emission levels of fisheries. The northern marine economic circle, which includes Liaoning, Hebei, Tianjin, and Shandong, is an important site for fisheries in China, characterized by abundant aquatic resources. However, a comprehensive assessment of the carbon budget for fisheries in this region is still unclear. This study calculated the carbon sinks, carbon emissions, and net carbon emissions associated with fisheries in the region from 2013 to 2020. Additionally, we used sensitivity analysis and scenario simulation to explore the factors influencing the net carbon emissions. The results revealed that the carbon budget of the northern marine economic circle was in a carbon deficit (the amount of carbon emissions was higher than that of carbon sinks) from 2013 to 2020. However, a downward trend in the net carbon emissions was observed, indicating the potential of achieving carbon neutrality. From the perspective of provinces, significant differences among provinces (cities) were found in terms of carbon sinks, carbon emissions, and net carbon emissions, with Shandong having the largest net carbon emissions. Furthermore, the production of clams and the use of seawater trawl net have a significant impact on the net carbon emissions. Increasing the production of clams while reducing the power of trawling operations can significantly decrease net carbon emissions. Based on these results, this study provides relevant suggestions to enhance the carbon sink capacity and decrease the carbon emissions of fisheries in the northern marine economic circle. Fibroblasts are important components of animal tissues such as muscle and skin, as they are the major producers of various matrix proteins. Matrix proteins such as collagen play an important role in meat products by providing unique nutrition, texture, and flavor. Cultured meat is an innovative meat alternative produced by culturing animal cells, but currently, relatively few studies have been conducted using fibroblasts as seed cells for cultured meat manufacturing. In this work, we first developed an innovative digestion-friction method for isolating fibroblasts from porcine skin efficiently and cost-effectively. After optimizing the enzymatic digestion and physical friction conditions, 2.39 ± 0.28 × 105 fibroblasts were obtained from 1 cm2 of porcine skin tissue, which was about 9 times higher than the conventional tissue explant method. In addition, we identified an edible bio-ink composed of gelatin and chitosan that has good printing properties and supports fibroblast adhesion and growth. Furthermore, we fabricated fibroblast-based cultured meat by 3D printing with an initial cell density of 1.0 × 107 mL-1 and evaluated its texture and nutritional properties. This study uses eye-tracking technology to examine how television program-induced moods (sad vs. neutral vs. happy) affect viewers' attitudinal responses to brand placement and whether an advertising disclosure can moderate these effects. The respondents (N = 243) were exposed to an episode of a popular television series in which a brand was placed in a happy, sad, or neutral context, and the episode was either preceded by an advertising disclosure or not. The results showed that program-induced moods (happy vs. neutral vs. sad) had positive effects on brand attitude in the non-disclosed condition, whereas program-induced moods (happy vs. neutral/sad) had negative effects on brand attitude in the disclosed condition. Moreover, the mediating roles of viewers' attention allocation and activation of persuasion knowledge were significant only in the disclosed condition. These findings provide guidelines for firms in employing appropriate valences of placement contexts to promote brands and point to implications for policymakers in disclosing the persuasive intent of brand placement. The wind turbine components are bulky and costly. Undergraduate students majoring in wind power cannot achieve professional skills training in the laboratory. To deepen the understanding of wind turbine installation, a virtual simulation platform for the teaching exploration of wind turbine assembly practice course is developed. The goal of the platform is to build a virtual simulation installation process of each huge component of the wind turbine through the model, so that students can experience the experiential learning of the installation of the wind turbine, and experience the learning opportunities of the visualization of parts and the operability of the assembly process, so as to lay the foundation of wind power engineering practice for undergraduate students. The teaching of simulation working process based on wind turbine assembly process and performance characteristics is discussed. The results and questionnaires of students in three classes are counted. The teaching experiment shows that the average score of the experimental group is 4.5 points higher than that of the control group. This method can significantly improve students' interest in learning and academic performance, improve students' wind turbine assembly ability, and meet the actual needs of students majoring in wind power. In this paper, we investigate periodic travelling waves in a three-layer system with the rigid-lid assumption. Solutions are recovered numerically using a boundary integral method. We consider the case where the density difference between the layers is small (i.e. a weakly stratified fluid). We consider the system both with and without the Boussinesq assumption to explore the effect the assumption has on the solution space. Periodic solutions of both mode-1 and mode-2 are found, and their bifurcation structure and limiting configurations are described in detail. Similarities are found with the two-layer case, where large-amplitude solutions are found to overhang with an internal angle of 120°. However, the addition of a second interface results in a richer bifurcation space, in part due to the existence of mode-2 waves and their resonance with mode-1 waves. New limiting profiles are found. Introduction: The Omicron variant has rapidly spread throughout the world compared to the Delta variant and poses a great threat to global healthcare systems due to its immune evasion and rapid spread. Sex has been identified as a factor significantly associated with COVID-19 mortality, but it remains unclear which clinical indicators could be identified as risk factors in each sex group and which sex-specific risk factors might shape the worse clinical outcome, especially for Omicrons. This study aimed to confirm the relationship between sex and the progression of the Omicron variant and to explore its sex-biased risk factors. Methods: We conducted a retrospective study including 1,132 hospitalized patients with the COVID-19 Omicron variant from 5 December 2022 to 25 January 2023 at Shanghai General Hospital, and the medical history data and clinical index data of the inpatients for possible sex differences were compared and analyzed. Then, a sex-specific Lasso regression was performed to select the variables significantly associated with critical illness, including intensive care unit admission, invasive mechanical ventilation, or death. A logistic regression was used to construct a sex-specific predictive model distinctively for the critical illness outcome using selected covariates. Results: Among the collected 115 clinical indicators, up to 72 showed significant sex differences, including the difference in merit and the proportion of people with abnormalities. More importantly, males had greater critical illness (28.4% vs. 19.9%) and a significantly higher intensive care unit occupancy (20.96% vs. 14.49%) and mortality (13.2% vs. 4.9%), and males over 80 showed worse outcomes than females. Predictive models (AUC: 0.861 for males and 0.898 for females) showed 12 risk factors for males and 10 for females. Through a comprehensive sex-stratified analysis of a large cohort of hospitalized Omicron-infected patients, we identified the specific risk factors for critical illness by developing prediction models. As constituents of the sodium-dependent glucose cotransporter (SGLT) family of proteins, both SGLT1 and SGLT2 assume significant physiological functions in the human body. Few research studies have attempted to delve into the unbinding processes that underlie the substrate-binding site of SGLT. In this study, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of high-resolution X-ray crystal structures revealed the conserved properties of the ligand-binding pockets of SGLT1 and SGLT2. The conserved residues, Phe98, His80, and Glu99, at the SGLT2 substrate binding site contribute to hydrogen bond formation as well as hydrophobic interactions, allowing for the targeted selective inhibition as a result. van der Waals forces have played a crucial role in developing successful medications that block SGLT1/2. Additionally, electrostatic attractions were instrumental in identifying empagliflozin as a potent antidiabetic drug. Our research demonstrated that empagliflozin, ertugliflozin, and LX2761 competed more effectively, whether targeting SGLT1 or SGLT2. The principles of competitive inhibition have been newly understood based on potential mean force (PMF) simulations, where high-affinity inhibitors show route lengths of ∼17.6 Å and ∼17.5 Å from the binding sites to the open state for SGLT1 and SGLT2, respectively. Consequently, we hypothesized that potent antidiabetic agents would tend to bind more deeply within the SGLT1/2 binding site compared to the substrate. In this investigation, a broad pathway was identified, involving the three ligands empagliflozin, ertugliflozin, and LX2761, and the substrate glucose, all being drawn towards an opening between M1b, M2, M6a, and M10 (for SGLT1), as well as TM1b, TM2, TM6a, and TM10 (for SGLT2). Introduction: Epirubicin is widely used in many malignancies with good efficacy and tolerability. However, investigations about adverse events (AEs) using real-world information are still insufficient. Methods: We extracted Epirubicin-related reports submitted between the first quarter of 2014 and first quarter of 2023 from FAERS database. Four algorithms were utilized to evaluate whether there was a significant correlation between Epirubicin and AEs. Results: After de-duplicating, a total of 3919 cases were extracted. Among the 3919 cases, we identified 1472 AEs, 253 of which were found to be adverse drug reactions (ADRs) associated with Epirubicin. We analysed the occurrence of Epirubicin-induced ADRs and found several unexpected significant ADRs, such as hepatic artery stenosis, hepatic artery occlusion, intestinal atresia and so on. Interestingly, we found gait apraxia, a neurological condition, was also significantly associated with Epirubicin. To our knowledge, there haven't studies that have reported an association between gait disorders and the usage of epirubicin. Purpose: Ischemic stroke (IS) has a considerable impact on the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of patients. A systematic review was conducted to summarize and synthesize the HRQoL reported from IS patients. Methods: An electronic search was performed in PubMed, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases from inception to February 2022 for studies measuring utility values in IS patients. Basic information about the studies, patient characteristics, measurement of the utility values, and utility values were extracted and summarized. Utility values were pooled according to the time of evaluation, and disease severity was classified with modified Rankin Scale (mRS) scores. The quality of the studies was assessed according to key criteria recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence. Results: A total of 39 studies comprising 30,853 participants were included in the study. Measured with EQ-5D-3L, the pooled utility values were 0.42 [95% confidential interval (CI): 0.13 to 0.71], 0.55 (95% CI: 0.43 to 0.68), 0.65 (95% CI: 0.52 to 0.78), 0.60 (95% CI: 0.43 to 0.78), and 0.67 (95% CI: 0.60 to 0.74) for patients diagnosed with IS within 1, 3, 6, 12, and 24 months or above among poststroke patients. Four studies reported utility values classified by mRS scores where synthesized estimates stratified by mRS scores ranged from 0.91 (95% CI: 0.85 to 0.97) for patients with anmRS score of 1 to-0.04 (95% CI:-0.18 to 0.11) for those with an mRS score of 5. As for the health dimension profiles, usual activity was the most impacted dimension, while self-care was the least impacted one. Conclusion: This study indicated that the utility values in IS patients kept increasing from stroke onset and became relatively stabilized at 6 months poststroke. Health utility values decreased significantly as mRS scores increased. These results facilitate economic evaluations in utility retrieval and selection. Introduction: The pathogenic gene CDH23 plays a pivotal role in tip links, which is indispensable for mechanoelectrical transduction in the hair cells. However, the underlying molecular mechanism and signal regulatory networks that influence deafness is still largely unknown. Methods: In this study, a congenital deafness family, whole exome sequencing revealed a new mutation in the pathogenic gene CDH23, subsequently; the mutation has been validated using Sanger sequencing method. Then CRISPR/Cas9 technology was employed to knockout zebrafish cdh23 gene. Startle response experiment was used to compare with wide-type, the response to sound stimulation between wide-type and cdh23−/−. To further illustrate the molecular mechanisms underlying congenital deafness, comparative transcriptomic profiling and multiple bioinformatics analyses were performed. Results: The YO-PRO-1 assay result showed that in cdh23 deficient embryos, the YO-PRO-1 signal in inner ear and lateral line neuromast hair cells were completely lost. Startle response experiment showed that compared with wide-type, the response to sound stimulation decreased significantly in cdh23 mutant larvae. Comparative transcriptomic showed that the candidate genes such as atp1b2b and myof could affect hearing by regulating ATP production and purine metabolism in a synergetic way with cdh23. RT-qPCR results further confirmed the transcriptomics results. Further compensatory experiment showed that ATP treated cdh23−/− embryos can partially recover the mutant phenotype. Conclusion: In conclusion, our study may shed light on deciphering the principal mechanism and provide a potential therapeutic method for congenital hearing loss under the condition of CDH23 mutation. The human serotonin transporter (SERT) terminates neurotransmission by removing serotonin from the synaptic cleft, which is an essential process that plays an important role in depression. In addition to natural substrate serotonin, SERT is also the target of the abused drug cocaine and, clinically used antidepressants, escitalopram, and paroxetine. To date, few studies have attempted to investigate the unbinding mechanism underlying the orthosteric and allosteric modulation of SERT. In this article, the conserved property of the orthosteric and allosteric sites (S1 and S2) of SERT was revealed by combining the high resolutions of x-ray crystal structures and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. The residues Tyr95 and Ser438 located within the S1 site, and Arg104 located within the S2 site in SERT illustrate conserved interactions (hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic interactions), as responses to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. Van der Waals interactions were keys to designing effective drugs inhibiting SERT and further, electrostatic interactions highlighted escitalopram as a potent antidepressant. We found that cocaine, escitalopram, and paroxetine, whether the S1 site or the S2 site, were more competitive. According to this potential of mean force (PMF) simulations, the new insights reveal the principles of competitive inhibitors that lengths of trails from central SERT to an opening were ∼18 Å for serotonin and ∼22 Å for the above-mentioned three drugs. Furthermore, the distance between the natural substrate serotonin and cocaine (or escitalopram) at the allosteric site was ∼3 Å. Thus, it can be inferred that the potent antidepressants tended to bind at deeper positions of the S1 or the S2 site of SERT in comparison to the substrate. Continuing exploring the processes of unbinding four ligands against the two target pockets of SERT, this study observed a broad pathway in which serotonin, cocaine, escitalopram (at the S1 site), and paroxetine all were pulled out to an opening between MT1b and MT6a, which may be helpful to understand the dissociation mechanism of antidepressants. Introduction: Accurate and fast identification of wood at the species level is critical for protecting and conserving tree species resources. The current identification methods are inefficient, costly, and complex. Methods: A wood species identification model based on wood anatomy and using the Cyclobalanopsis genus wood cell geometric dataset was proposed. The model was enhanced by the CTGAN deep learning algorithm and used a simulated cell geometric feature dataset. The machine learning models BPNN and SVM were trained respectively for recognition of three Cyclobalanopsis species with simulated vessel cells and simulated wood fiber cells. Results: The SVM model and BPNN model achieved recognition accuracy of 96.4% and 99.6%, respectively, on the real dataset, using the CTGAN-generated vessel dataset. The BPNN model and SVM model achieved recognition accuracy of 75.5% and 77.9% on real dataset, respectively, using the CTGAN-generated wood fiber dataset. Discussion: The machine learning model trained based on the enhanced cell geometric feature data by CTGAN achieved good recognition of Cyclobalanopsis, with the SVM model having a higher prediction accuracy than BPNN. The machine learning models were interpreted based on LIME to explore how they identify tree species based on wood cell geometric features. Prostate cancer (PC) is one of the major health issues of elderly men in the word. It is showed that there were approximately 1.414 million patients with PC in 2020 worldwide, with a high mortality rate in metastatic cases. In the present choices of treatment in PC, androgen deprivation therapy has long been as a backbone of them. But the clinical outcomes of patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) were not ideal because of their poor prognosis, more effective therapeutic approaches are still necessary to further improve this problem. Poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitors lead to the singlestrand DNA breaks and/or double-strand DNA breaks, and result in synthetic lethality in cancer cells with impaired homologous recombination genes. It is estimated that approximately 20~25% of patients with mCRPC have a somatic or germinal DNA damage repair gene mutation. Objective: We conducted a large-scale meta-analysis and subgroup analysis to compare the effect of fixed-dose combination (FDC) therapy with that of freeequivalent combination (FEC) therapy on medication adherence. Methods: Studies published in Web of Science, PubMed, Cochrane Library, ScienceDirect, and Embase up to May 2022 were identified according to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The primary assessed outcomes were the medication possession ratio (MPR) and proportion of days covered (PDC). We investigated the probability of being adherent to the prescribed treatment (MPR or PDC ≥80%) or the average estimate of these two parameters. Studies reporting such results were included in this meta-analysis. The summary measures were reported as the risk ratio (RR) and the weighted mean difference (MD) with 95% of confidence interval (CI) using the random-effects model of DerSimonian and Laird. The quality of the cohort studies was assessed using the Newcastle-Ottawa scale. Results: Of the 1,814 screened studies, 61 met the predefined inclusion criteria. The meta-analysis of the results showed that compared to FEC, FDC significantly improved the medication compliance of patients by 1.29 times (95% CI:1.23--1.35, p < 0.00001). I2 of 99% represent high heterogeneity across studies. The mean difference in medication adherence between FDC and FEC was 0.10 (95% CI: 0.06--0.14, p < 0.00001) with an I2 estimate of 100%. Subgroup analyses were performed for studies that reported adherence outcomes according to disease type, period of evaluation and compliance indicators. A sensitivity analysis was conducted to exclude the results of low-quality studies, as well as studies in which there was ambiguity in the method of calculating the estimator. Conclusion: Analysis of the assessed parameters for the intention-to-treat and subgroup populations suggests that FDC can improve adherence to treatment and its advantages over FEC may increase over time. Further research is needed to better understand how medical conditions affect the impact of reduced pill burden on adherence, particularly in diseases other than cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Five new wood-inhabiting fungi, Lyomyces albopulverulentus, L. yunnanensis, Xylodon daweishanensis, X. fissuratus, and X. puerensis spp. nov., are proposed based on a combination of morphological features and molecular evidence. Lyomyces albopulverulentus is characterized by brittle basidiomata, pruinose hymenophore with a white hymenial surface, a monomitic hyphal system with clamped generative hyphae, and ellipsoid basidiospores. Lyomyces yunnanensis is characterized by a grandinioid hymenial surface, the presence of capitate cystidia, and ellipsoid basidiospores. Xylodon daweishanensis is characterized by an odontioid hymenial surface, a monomitic hyphal system with clamped generative hyphae, and broad ellipsoid-to-subglobose basidiospores. Xylodon fissuratus is characterized by a cracking basidiomata with a grandinioid hymenial surface, and ellipsoid basidiospores. Xylodon puerensis is characterized by a poroid hymenophore with an angular or slightly daedaleoid configuration, and ellipsoid-to-broad-ellipsoid basidiospores. Sequences of ITS and nLSU rRNA markers of the studied samples were generated and phylogenetic analyses were performed with the maximum likelihood, maximum parsimony, and Bayesian inference methods. The phylogram based on the ITS+nLSU rDNA gene regions (Fig. 1) included six genera within the families Chaetoporellaceae, Hyphodontiaceae, Hymenochaetaceae, and Schizoporaceae (Hymenochaetales)--Fasciodontia, Hastodontia, Hyphodontia, Kneiffiella, Lyomyces, and Xylodon--in which the five new species were grouped into genera Lyomyces and Xylodon. The phylogenetic tree inferred from the ITS sequences highlighted that Lyomyces albopulverulentus formed a monophyletic lineage and was then grouped closely with L. bambusinus, L. orientalis, and L. sambuci; additionally, L. yunnanensis was sister to L. niveus with strong supports. The topology, based on the ITS sequences, revealed that Xylodon daweishanensis was retrieved as a sister to X. hyphodontinus; X. fissuratus was grouped with the four taxa X. montanus, X. subclavatus, X. wenshanensis, and X. xinpingensis; and X. puerensis was clustered with X. flaviporus, X. ovisporus, X. subflaviporus, X. subtropicus, and X. taiwanianus. Developing blend membrane material is one feasible and effective route for improving the gas separation efficiency and commercial attractiveness of membrane technologies. Here, free-standing membranes were prepared by casting method using Pebax-1074 as continuous polymer matrix and poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) as dispersive organic fillers. The morphology, surface functional groups, microstructure and thermal stability of the membranes were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry, respectively. The effects of preparation variables including average molecular weight and dosage of PEG on the microstructure, morphology and properties of the blend membranes were investigated. In addition, the effects of operation conditions including permeation temperature and permeation pressure on the gas separation performance of the blend membranes were also examined. The results showed that the addition of PEG can obviously modify the structure-properties and significantly improve the separation performance of resultant membranes. Under the conditions of 30°C and 0.25 MPa, the optimal CO2 permeability and CO2/N2 selectivity respectively reached to 124.3Barrer and 115.8 for the blend membranes made by PEG600 with a content of 20% in Pebax-1074 matrix. Motivated by applications, we propose a class of dynamic single-index varying-coefficient models to explore the varying interaction effects on the response variable among a set of covariates. That is, the interaction effects are allowed to change with some factors of interest, such as time, spatial location, or other co-variates. A spline-based approach is developed to estimate the index and varying coefficient functions. The convergence rates and asymptotic normalities of the resulting estimators are established. It is also shown that the resulting estimators exhibit the oracle property. A penalized method is presented to select related co-variates, and the consistency of the penalized estimator is proved. A test statistic is provided to check whether the interaction effect also varies with the factors of interest, and the asymptotic normality of the test statistic is established. Background: Poor prognosis, resistance to chemotherapy, insensitivity to radiotherapy, and a high prevalence of adverse drug reactions remain urgent issues for breast cancer (BC) patients. Increased knowledge of tumor immunobiology and vaccine development suggests the possibility of cancer vaccination. Here, we investigated potential BC-associated antigens for the development of an anti-BC mRNA vaccine and populations suitable for mRNA vaccination. Methods: Gene expression and clinical data were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Molecular Taxonomy of Breast Cancer International Consortium (METABRIC). The single-cell sequencing data were obtained from the Single Cell Portal platform. cBioPortal was used to visualize and compare genetic alterations. Correlations between immune cell infiltration and antigen expression were visualized with the Tumor Immune Estimation Resource (TIMER). Immune subtypes were identified by consensus clustering and analysis of immune infiltration. Biomarkers for the assessment of mRNA vaccination suitability were investigated. Results: Three tumor-associated antigens, CD74, IRF1, and PSME2, that showed overexpression, amplification, and mutation and were linked with prognosis and immune cell infiltration, were identified. Single-cell sequencing analysis showed the expression of the three tumor-associated antigens in different cells of BC. Three immune subtypes were identified among BC patients, with Cluster B patients having a tumor microenvironment conducive to immunotherapy. These subtypes also showed different expression patterns of immune checkpoints, immune cell death-promoting genes, and response to immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy. Thus, we identified five biomarkers that could be applied for assessing vaccination suitability and predicted drugs that would be appropriate for patients unsuited for vaccination. Anillin (ANLN) is a unique scaffolding, actin-binding protein, which is essential for the integrity and ingression of the cleavage furrow. It is mainly involved in the cytokinesis process, while its role in various tumors has not been fully addressed and remains largely elusive. To provide a thorough perspective of ANLN's roles among diverse malignancies, we conducted a comprehensive, pan-cancer analysis about ANLN, including but not limited to gene expression levels, prognostic value, biological functions, interacting proteins, immune-related analysis, and predictive value. As a result, when compared to normal tissues, ANLN expression is elevated in most cancers, and its expression also differs in different immune subtypes and molecular subtypes in diverse cancers. In addition, in 17 types of cancer, ANLN expression is increased in early tumor stages, and higher ANLN expression predicts worse survival outcomes in more than ten cancers. Furthermore, ANLN shows close correlations with the infiltration levels of most immune cells, and enrichment analysis using ANLN co-expressed genes reveals that ANLN plays essential roles in cell cycle, mitosis, cellular senescence, and p53 signaling pathways. In the final, ANLN exhibits high accuracy in predicting many cancers, and subsequent multivariate analysis suggests ANLN could be an independent prognostic factor in specific cancer types. Taken together, ANLN is proved to be a novel and promising biomarker for its excellent predictive utility, promising prognostic value, and potential immunological roles in pan-cancer. Objective: To assess the cost-effectiveness of nebulized budesonide and intravenous methylprednisolone in the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) in a real-world setting. Materials and methods: Data from 291 patients with AECOPD were collected from the information system of a tertiary hospital in China. Patients were categorized into two groups: those treated with nebulized budesonide (n = 148) and those treated with intravenous methylprednisolone (n = 143). Clinical efficacy and the rate of no readmission within 1 year after discharge were used as effect indicators, and a cost-effectiveness analysis was conducted from the perspective of the Chinese healthcare system. Logistic regression, generalized linear regression, and bootstrap methods were used for sensitivity analyses. Results: There was no statistical difference between the budesonide and methylprednisolone groups in clinical efficacy rates (94.6% vs. 93.7%). The cost-minimization analysis shows that budesonide is not cost-effective owing to higher total cost. In terms of readmission rates, budesonide was again not cost-effective, with an incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) of 22276.62 CNY, which is higher than the willingness to pay (WTP) of 20206.20 CNY, the mean per admission expenditure in China. The sensitivity analyses confirm that these results are robust. The concept of a public energy field is central to public administration discourse theory. Its main idea is the facilitation of dialog between government and the public, on the basis of equality, to construct a public policy consensus. In contemporary society, social media provides new and distinctive channels for such interactions. Social media can, therefore, be conceived as a novel type of public energy field. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, interactions between the Chinese government and the Chinese public (whether located in China or abroad) have been acutely reflected through WeChat official accounts. This article focuses on the COVID-19 pandemic and, through social media text mining and processing, analyzes the text topics and emotions covered. Basic principles of discourse validity, regarding this public energy field and two guarantee conditions, are applied to analyze the information exchange and dialog between the government and the public on COVID-19 through WeChat official accounts. It was found that the government’s WeChat official accounts have not yet formed a harmonious dialog space to balance the public energy field, and that the interaction between the government and the public has to be improved. The government’s social discourse had a significant influence on the public’s social discourse. Using text analysis, the study found that the government has published information on 11 topics related to the prevention and control of the pandemic. It can be argued that the public energy field presented by both the government and the public effectively portrayed and reflected the actual situation of the pandemic in China. Background: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is often accompanied by intestinal symptoms. Myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) possess immunosuppressive ability in cancer, chronic inflammation, and infection. The aim of this study was to verify the distribution of MDSCs in emphysema mouse model and participation in lung--gut cross-talk. Methods: Adult male C57BL/6 mice were exposed to cigarette smoke (CS) for 6 months or injected with porcine pancreas elastase to establish emphysema models. Flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry analysis revealed the distribution of MDSCs in tissues. The expression of inflammation and MDSCs-associated genes in the small intestine and colon were analyzed by real-time PCR. Results: The small intestine and colon of CS-induced emphysematous mice displayed pathological changes, CD4+/CD8+ T cells imbalance, and increased neutrophils, monocytes, and macrophages infiltration. A significant expansion of MDSCs could be seen in CS-affected respiratory and gastrointestinal tract. Importantly, higher expression of MDSCs-related effector molecules inducible nitric oxide synthase (INOS), NADPH oxidase 2 (NOX2), and arginase 1 (ARG-1) suggested the immunosuppressive effect of migrated MDSCs (P<0.05). Interfacial waves between two superimposed dielectric fluid layers under a horizontal electric field are investigated from asymptotic and numerical aspects. The fluid is taken to be inviscid, incompressible and non-conducting in each layer. The competing forces resulting from gravity, surface tension and electric field are all considered. A systematic procedure is proposed to derive model equations of multiple scales in various possible limits from the electrified Euler equations in the framework of the Zakharov–Craig–Sulem formulation. Based on thorough analyses of the Dirichlet–Neumann operators in the long-wave approximation, classic weakly nonlinear models – including the Boussinesq-type system, the Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) equation and its variants, and the Benjamin-type equation – are obtained under different scaling assumptions. In addition, strongly nonlinear models (without the smallness assumption on the wave amplitude) in the Benjamin and Barannyk–Papageorgiou–Petropoulos regimes are derived. In these models, the electric effects are shown to produce dispersive regularisations of long and short waves. A modified boundary integral equation method is developed to compute solitary waves in the original electrified Euler equations. Through comparisons with solitary-wave solutions in the Euler equations, it is found that in various asymptotic regimes, weakly nonlinear models are in overall good agreement when wave amplitudes are small. In contrast, the range of validity of the strongly nonlinear model is much broader. It is shown that the horizontal electric field plays a significant role in the physical system: it expands the range of parameters for the existence of progressive waves, changes the qualitative characteristics of solitary waves and leads to a new type of solitary wave, namely the KdV–wavepacket mixed type. Objectives: The aim of this study is to assess the cost-effectiveness of fruquintinib compared to regorafenib as third-line treatment for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) in China. Methods: A three-state Markov model with monthly cycle was constructed to estimate lifetime incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) of fruquintinib versus regorafenib as third-line treatment for patients with mCRC from Chinese health care perspective. Survival analysis was applied to calculate transition probabilities using the data from the clinical trials FRESCO and CONCUR, which were also the data sources accessing probabilities of adverse events. Background mortality rate and drug costs were derived from government published data. Costs for medical services were obtained from realworld data and published literatures. Utilities applied to calculate the quality-adjusted life years (QALYs) were obtained from literature review. One-way sensitivity analysis and probabilistic sensitivity analysis were adopted to verify the robustness of the results. Results: Fruquintinib provided 0.74 QALYs at a cost of CNY 151,058 (USD 22,888), whereas regorafenib provided 0.79 QALYs at a cost of CNY 226,657 (USD 32,224). Compared to fruquintinib, the ICER of regorafenib was CNY 1,529,197/QALY (USD 231,697/QALY) from Chinese health care perspective, which was above the triple GDP per capita of China in 2019 (CNY 212,676) (USD 32,224) as the threshold to define the cost-effectiveness. One-way sensitivity analysis showed the results were generally robust. Cost-effectiveness acceptability curves derived from probabilistic sensitivity analysis demonstrated the probability that fruquintinib was more cost-effective was 100% when the threshold was the triple GDP per capita of China. Conclusions: Compared to regorafenib, fruquintinib, which leads to forego about 0.05 QALYs and save about CNY 75,599 (USD 11,454), is a cost-effective choice as the third-line treatment for patients with mCRC in China. The accuracy and robustness of vehicle cognition in severe weather have always been the focus and difficulty of intelligent vehicle environment perception. This paper proposes a vehicle cognition method based on radar and infrared thermal camera information fusion in severe weather. The fusion of radar and infrared cameras can greatly enrich the completeness of vehicle cognitive information. First, an attention mechanism based on radar guidance information was proposed to extract the vehicle region of interest (ROI). Unlike the traditional ROI extraction method, this method is not disturbed by the environment and does not need complicated calculations, which can quickly and accurately extract ROI for vehicles. Second, based on ROI information, the infrared thermal image is reconstructed and enhanced, which is of great significance to improve the accuracy of vehicle detection for deep learning. Finally, we propose a vehicle depth estimation method based on pixel regression and use multi-scale cognitive information to fuse radar and image targets. The fusion method considering depth information can reduce target confusion and improve fusion robustness and accuracy, especially when vehicles are adjacent to each other. The experimental results show that the vehicle detection accuracy of this method is 95.2% and the vehicle detection speed is 37 fps, which effectively improves the performance of vehicle detection in severe weather. Wood-inhabiting fungi play crucial roles as decomposers in forest ecosystems and, in this study, two new wood-inhabiting corticioid fungi, Hyphoderma puerense and H. tenuissimum spp. nov., are proposed, based on a combination of morphological features and molecular evidence. Hyphoderma puerense is characterised by effused basidiomata with smooth to floccose hymenial surface, a monomitic hyphal system with clamped generative hyphae and ellipsoid basidiospores. Hyphoderma tenuissimum is characterised by resupinate basidiomata with tuberculate to minutely-grandinioid hymenial surface, septate cystidia and cylindrical to allantoid basidiospores. Sequences of ITS and nLSU rRNA markers of the studied samples were generated and phylogenetic analyses were performed with Maximum Likelihood, maximum parsimony and Bayesian Inference methods. These analyses showed that the two new species clustered into Hyphoderma, in which H. puerense grouped with H. moniliforme and H. tenuissimum formed a singleton lineage. Castanopsis fargesii is among the most prevalent hardwood species in South China. To improve the poor dimensional stability of C. fargesii wood, heat treatments were performed using vacuum or sand as the medium at four temperatures from 170 °C to 215 °C for 4 h. As a medium, vacuum or sand can create a low oxygen environment. The results showed that, as the temperature increased, the oven-dry density decreased, whereas the dimensional stability and the total color change (ΔE*) increased with both media, two different changing patterns of a* and b* were observed, the lignin content increased, and the holocellulose content decreased. The oven-dry density decreased 9.4% and 25.5%, volume shrinkage ratio decreased 27.8% and 37.7%, and the ΔE* was 19.63 and 45.52, the lignin contents increased from 17.62% to 28.62% and 42.87%, and the holocellulose contents decreased from 80.49% to 69.43% and 51.04% when C. fargesii wood was heated under vacuum and with sand at 215 °C, respectively. Overall, sand heat treatment affected wood physical and chemical properties more than vacuum heat treatment. Increasing numbers of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are implicated in breast cancer oncogenicity. However, the contribution of LINC02568 toward breast cancer progression remains unclear and requires further investigation. Herein, we evaluated LINC02568 expression in breast cancer and clarified its effect on disease malignancy. We also investigated the mechanisms underlying the pro-oncogenic role of LINC02568. Consequently, LINC02568 was upregulated in breast cancer samples, with a notable association with worse overall survival. Functionally, depleted LINC02568 suppressed cell proliferation, colony formation, and metastasis, whereas LINC02568 overexpression exerted the opposite effects. Our mechanistic investigations suggested that LINC02568 was physically bound to and sequestered microRNA-874-3p (miR-874-3p). Furthermore, miR-874-3p mediated suppressive effects in breast cancer cells by targeting cyclin E1 (CCNE1). LINC02568 positively controlled CCNE1 expression by sequestering miR-874-3p. Rescue experiments revealed that increased miR-874-3p or decreased CCNE1 expression recovered cell growth and motility functions induced by LINC02568 in breast cancer cells. In conclusion, the tumor-promoting functions of LINC02568 in breast cancer cells were enhanced by sequestering miR-874-3p and consequently over-expressing CCNE1. Long noncoding RNA PPP1R14B antisense RNA 1 (PPP1R14B-AS1) has emerged as a critical modulator of liver cancer and lung adenocarcinoma progression. However, the functional importance and biological relevance of PPP1R14B-AS1 in breast cancer remain unclear. Therefore, this study was designed to detect PPP1R14B-AS1 levels in breast cancer cells using qRT-PCR and elucidate the influence of PPP1R14B-AS1 on aggressive phenotypes. Furthermore, molecular events mediating the action of PPP1R14B-AS1 were characterized in detail. Functional experiments addressed the impacts of PPP1R14B-AS1 knockdown on breast cancer cells. In this study, PPP1R14BAS1 was found to be overexpressed in breast cancer, exhibiting a close correlation with poor patient prognosis. Results also showed that breast cancer cell proliferation and motility were suppressed when PPP1R14B-AS1 was silenced. Mechanistically, PPP1R14B-AS1 acted as a competing endogenous RNA for microRNA-134-3p (miR-134-3p) in breast cancer cells. PPP1R14B-AS1 also increased LIM and SH3 protein 1 (LASP1) levels by imitating miR-134-3p in breast cancer cells. Rescue experiments further corroborated that the knockdown of miR-134-3p or an increase in LASP1 restored the aggressive malignant characteristics of breast cancer cells that were weakened by PPP1R14B-AS1 depletion. In summary, PPP1R14B-AS1 facilitated the oncogenicity of breast cancer cells by controlling the miR-134-3p/LASP1 axis. Hyphoderma microporoides is characterized by the resupinate, cottony basidiomata distributing the scattered pinholes visible using hand lens on the hymenial surface, presence of halocystidia, and cylindrical to allantoid basidiospores. Sequences of ITS+nLSU rRNA gene regions of the studied samples were generated, and phylogenetic analyses were performed with maximum likelihood, maximum parsimony, and Bayesian inference methods. These phylogenetic analyses showed that three new species clustered into Hyphoderma, in which H. crystallinum was sister to H. variolosum, H. membranaceum was retrieved as a sister species of H. sinense, and H. microporoides was closely grouped with H. nemorale. Many studies have illustrated the significance of long noncoding RNAs in oncogenesis and promotion of breast cancer (BC). However, the biological roles of CCDC183 antisense RNA 1 (CCDC183-AS1) in BC have rarely been characterized. Thus, we explored whether CCDC183-AS1 is involved in the malignancy of BC and elucidated the possible underlying mechanisms. Our data confirmed elevated CCDC183-AS1 expression in BC, which was associated with poor clinical outcomes. Functionally, knocking down CCDC183-AS1 hampered cell proliferation, colony formation, migration, and invasion in BC. Additionally, the absence of CCDC183-AS1 restrained tumor growth in vivo. Mechanistically, CCDC183-AS1 executed as a competitive endogenous RNA in BC cells by decoying microRNA-3918 (miR-3918) and consequently overexpressing fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR1). Furthermore, functional rescue experiments confirmed that inactivation of the miR-3918/FGFR1 regulatory axis by inhibiting miR-3918 or increasing FGFR1 expression could abrogate the CCDC183-AS1 ablation-mediated repressive effects in BC cells. In summary, CCDC183-AS1 deteriorates the malignancy of BC cells by controlling miR-3918/FGFR1 regulatory axis.
