Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the status of health-related quality of life in Chinese patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) and to analyze factors associated with the Assessment of SpondyloArthritis international Society Health Index (ASAS-HI) in AS and its relationship with disease activity and psychological status. Methods: A cross-sectional study of 484 patients with AS attending 10 hospitals in China from March 2021 to September 2023 was recruited. The ASAS-HI assessed general health and functional status; the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS-21) assessed psychological disorders such as anxiety, depression, and stress; and the Functional Assessment of Chronic illness Therapy-Fatigue Scale (FACIT-F) assessed patients' fatigue symptoms; the Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Score-C-Reactive Protein (ASDAS-CRP), Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index (BASDAI), Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Functional Index (BASFI), and Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Measurement Index (BASMI) were used to assess patients' disease activity and functional impairment. The correlation between ASAS-HI and the ASDAS, poor psychological status, and fatigue symptoms was observed. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to explore the relevant influencing factors of ASAS-HI. Results: A total of 484 patients were included in this study of whom 162 were in poor health, 139 in moderate health, and 183 in good health. On univariate analysis, disease activity is an important factor affecting ASAS-HI. People with extremely high disease activity (ASDAS ≥ 3.5) had a 12 times elevated risk of having poor health status (OR = 12.53; P < 0.001). Other significant covariates included age ≥ 36 (OR = 1.58; P = 0.015), BMI ≥ 24 kg/m2 (OR = 2.93; P = 0.013), smoke (OR = 1.96; P = 0.002), BASFI (OR = 1.49; P < 0.001), BASMI (OR = 1.22; P < 0.001), fatigue (OR = 6.28; P < 0.001), and bad psychological conditions such as depression (OR = 10.86; P < 0.001), anxiety (OR = 3.88; P < 0.001), and stress (OR = 4.65; P < 0.001). The use of bMARDs is inversely associated with the appearance of adverse health status (OR = 0.54; P = 0.012). There was no significant relationship between HLA-B27 and sex. Multivariable logistic regression showed that higher disease activity (ASDAS ≥ 3.5) (OR = 5.14; P = 0.005), higher scores of BASMI (OR = 1.10; P = 0.009), self-reported depression (OR = 3.68; P = 0.007), and fatigue (OR = 2.76; P < 0.001) were factors associated with adverse health status. Conclusion: The health status of AS patients is related to age, BMI, smoking, disease activity, poor psychological status, and fatigue and is influenced by a combination of multiple factors such as emotional state, economic level, pain, and dysfunction. Therefore, clinicians should pay attention to the early assessment of ASAS-HI in order to improve the prognosis of the disease. Internet of Things (IoT) devices will generate massive fragmented data that requires real-time computing and intelligent analysis, which makes it facing the challenge of insufficient computing resources and limited battery energy. With the assistance of mobile edge computing (MEC), IoT devices can offload computing tasks to the MEC server to reduce their computing pressure. Cooperation between devices and wireless power transmission technology (WPT) can be used to solve the problem of limited battery energy. Moreover, the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the WPT-MEC system can improve signal coverage and energy collection efficiency. In this paper, we propose an UAV-based wireless power transmission and collaborative MEC scheme for IoT networks, in which IoT devices utilize different subcarriers to transmit the information. We aim to minimize UAV's transmitting power via optimizing the transmitting power of IoT devices with the constraints of delay and offloading task size. Background: Endotracheal intubation is challenging during cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and video laryngoscopy has showed benefits for this procedure. The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of various intubation approaches, including the bougie first, preloaded bougie, endotracheal tube (ETT) with stylet, and ETT without stylet, on first-attempt success using video laryngoscopy during chest compression. Methods: This was a randomized crossover trial conducted in a general tertiary teaching hospital. We included anesthesia residents in postgraduate year one to three who passed the screening test. Each resident performed intubation with video laryngoscopy using the four approaches in a randomized sequence on an adult manikin during continuous chest compression. The primary outcome was the first-attempt success defined as starting ventilation within a one minute. Results: A total of 260 endotracheal intubations conducted by 65 residents were randomized and analyzed with 65 procedures in each group. First-attempt success occurred in 64 (98.5%), 57 (87.7%), 56 (86.2%), and 46 (70.8%) intubations in the bougie-first, preloaded bougie, ETT with stylet, and ETT without stylet approaches, respectively. The bougie-first approach had a significantly higher possibility of first-attempt success than the preloaded bougie approach [risk ratio (RR) 8.00, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.03 to 62.16, P = 0.047], the ETT with stylet approach (RR 9.00, 95% CI 1.17 to 69.02, P = 0.035), and the ETT without stylet approach (RR 19.00, 95% CI 2.62 to 137.79, P = 0.004) in the generalized estimating equation logistic model accounting for clustering of intubations operated by the same resident. In addition, the bougie first approach did not result in prolonged intubation or increased self-reported difficulty among the study participants. Conclusions: The bougie first approach with video laryngoscopy had the highest possibility of first-attempt success during chest compression. These results helped inform the intubation approach during CPR. However, further studies in an actual clinical environment are warranted to validate these findings. The critical gelation conditions observed in dilute aqueous solutions of multiple nanoscale uranyl peroxide molecular clusters are reported, in the presence of multivalent cations. This gelation is dominantly driven by counterion‐mediated attraction. The gelation areas in the corresponding phase diagrams all appear in similar locations, with a characteristic triangle shape outlining three critical boundary conditions, corresponding to the critical cluster concentration, cation/cluster ratio, and the degree of counterion association with increasing cluster concentration. Objectives: Adolescents and young adults are the main target population for human papillomavirus (HPV). The study aimed to investigate school students' HPV vaccination intentions and explore the contributing factors from a socio‐ecological perspective. Design: A questionnaire survey was conducted in three secondary schools and three colleges in China. Sample: A total of 1756 students aged 14–22 years participated in this study. Among the 1756 participants, 182 students have received the HPV vaccine. For the remaining 1574 students, we analyzed their HPV vaccination intentions and the influencing factors. Measurements: Survey items for sociodemographics, knowledge and awareness of HPV, sexual intercourse and sexual knowledge, subjective socioeconomic status, self‐efficacy, eHealth literacy, perceived social support from family, and the availability of HPV vaccine information were measured. Results: Only 182 (10.4%) had received the HPV vaccine among the 1756 participants. Among the remaining 1574 students, the majority of the students (1403, 89.1%) were willing to receive the HPV vaccine. Binary logistic regression analysis showed that students who were female, had lower self‐efficacy, scored higher on sexual knowledge, believed vaccination preventing related diseases, worried about side effects after vaccination, thought oneself at risk of contracting HPV, had higher family support, knew the availability of the HPV vaccine in Mainland China from healthcare institutions, and with family residence in rural areas were more willing to receive the HPV vaccine. Conclusions: Students had high HPV vaccination intentions while had low vaccination rate. Intrapersonal, interpersonal and institutional or community factors predicted HPV vaccination intention. It is of great significance to explore the molecular mechanism of gametophytic sexual reproduction in the genetic improvement and breeding of tea plants [Camellia sinensis (L.) O. Kuntze]. Imported beta family members (IMBs) are a class of widely distributed nucleoplasmic transport receptor proteins in eukaryotes, affecting plant development and reproduction, and participating in flowering time and sexual reproduction. Still missing, though, is a thorough examination of IMB members in tea plants. Here, seven members of the IMB gene family were screened by a genome-wide investigation in tea plants. These members were scattered unevenly throughout five chromosomes. All of them contained the conserved KAP95 and HEAT Repeat domains. Additionally, the promoter regions of CsIMBs harbored cis-acting elements associated with plant hormones, light, and abiotic stress responses. In order to further confirm the function of CsIMBs in the sexual reproduction of tea plants, the expression patterns of CsIMBs in different flower development stages and the ovary (before and after pollination) were analyzed. The expression results highlighted that CsIMBs were related to the fertility and fruiting of tea plants. Furthermore, five of the seven CsIMBs (CsIMB1a, CsIMB1b, CsIMB2, CsIMB3a, and CsIMB3b) were found to be localized in the nucleus revealed by subcellular localization analysis. These results offer a comprehensive characterization of IMB genes as well as insights into the potential roles of CsIMBs participating in the gametophytic sexual reproduction of C. sinensis. Taking chitosan (CS) and soybean protein isolate (SPI) as composite membrane substrates and natural antioxidants as active substances, an edible active preservative film with inhibitory effect on lipid oxidation was developed. After optimizing the type and concentration of antioxidants through the mechanical properties, microstructure, physical properties, and antioxidant properties of the composite membrane, the preservation effect of the composite membrane on walnut oil was investigated. Results showed that, eight antioxidants significantly improved the oxygen-barrier ability of the composite membranes (P<0.05). Especially, the peroxide value of walnut oil was reduced by about 80% and maintained excellent mechanical properties with the addition of astaxanthin, grape seed extracts and vitamin C. When the addition of astaxanthin was 0.3%, the composite membrane exhibits the best performance, then the tensile strength, elongation at break, DPPH free radical scavenging capacity and water vapor permeability of the composite membrane were 6.546 MPa, 69.962%, 80.1%, 1.21 g⋅mm/m²⋅h⋅kPa, respectively. Scanning electron microscopy revealed that the surface of the membrane was smooth, regular and uniform. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy showed that membrane-forming materials were extremely compatible. The differential scanning calorimeter analysis showed that the composite membrane had the highest thermal enthalpy, reaching 233.940 J/g, with the best thermal stability. When the walnut oil was coated with a composite membrane containing astaxanthin, the oil's peroxide value was reduced by 81.8%, conjugated diene by 44.4% and conjugated triene values by 66.4% compared to the control. Tea plant [Camellia sinensis (L.) O. Kuntze] is one of the important foliar cash crops in China, and its root system absorbs heavy metal (HM) elements enriched in the soil and transports them to the over ground part. In order to ensure the safety of the soil ecological environment and tea raw materials in the tea production area, the HM contents of soil and tea plant leaves in Suzhou tea plantations were detected, the relationship between HMs and soil physicochemical properties was analyzed, and the ecological risk of HMs in tea plantation soils was evaluated by using relevant detection techniques and evaluation models. The results showed that the average pH of tea plantation soils around Tai Lake in Suzhou was within the range suitable for the growth of tea plants. The pH, soil organic matter, total nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium of tea plantation soil satisfying the requirements of high quality, high efficiency and high yield ('3H') tea plantation accounted for 47.06%, 26.47%, 8.82%, 79.41% and 67.65%, respectively. Site 2 fully met the requirements of '3H' tea plantation. In addition, the contents of cadmium (Cd) and mercury (Hg) were extremely variable, and the average contents exceeded the background value of soil in Jiangsu Province, but the HM contents of tea leaves all met the pollution-free standard, and the HM contents of tea leaves around Tai Lake in Suzhou were generally at a safe level. The composite ecological risk index ranged from 0.05 to 0.60, and 32 of the 34 sample sites (except site 21 and site 23) are the most suitable agricultural land for tea plantations. Aim: Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a chronic, progressive, and inflammatory autoimmune disease of unknown origin that affects the axial skeleton and sacroiliac joints, resulting in pain and loss of function. AS is characterized by the overdifferentiation of T helper 17 (Th17) cells, which contribute to the development of the disease. The Hippo signaling pathway is an important regulator of Th17 differentiation, but its role in patients with AS is unclear. We aimed to investigate the role of key molecules of the Hippo signaling pathway in inflammatory Th17 differentiation in patients with AS and to examine their correlation with disease stages. Methods: We examined the activity of the Hippo pathway in patients with AS and the regulation of Th17 differentiation during AS‐mediated inflammation. Blood samples were collected from 60 patients with AS at various stages and 30 healthy controls. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were isolated from peripheral blood by density gradient centrifugation. The Serum Interleukin‐17 (IL‐17) levels in patients with AS and healthy controls were quantified by ELISA. The key molecules of Hippo pathway were assessed by real‐time PCR for their mRNA expression, and protein levels were determined by Western blot analysis. Results: Elevated serum interleukin‐17 (IL‐17) levels were observed in patients with AS compared with healthy controls. The protein and mRNA levels of retinoic acid receptor‐related orphan receptor γt (RORγt), transcriptional coactivator with a PDZ‐binding motif (TAZ), and key upstream transcription factors in the Hippo signaling pathway were measured. The expression of RORγt and TAZ was increased in the blood of patients with AS, whereas the expression of other Hippo pathway proteins, such as MST1/2 and NDR1/2, was significantly decreased. Increased levels of IL‐17 and TAZ were significantly associated with disease activity. In addition, MST1, MST2, and NDR1 levels were negatively correlated with TAZ, RORγt, and IL‐17 levels. Conclusion: Our findings suggest that the Hippo pathway plays a significant role in the regulation of Th17 differentiation and disease activity in patients with AS. The upregulation of TAZ and downregulation of key Hippo pathway proteins, such as MST1/2 and NDR1/2, may contribute to AS pathogenesis. With the development of economic and technologies, the trend of annual Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and carbon dioxide (CO2) emission changes with time passes. The relationship between economic growth and carbon dioxide emissions is considered as one of the most important empirical relationships. In this study, we focus on the member of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, including China, Russia, India, and Pakistan and collect CO2 emission and annual GDP from 1969 to 2014. The statistical methods and tests are used to find the relationship between annual GDP and CO2 emission in these countries. Based on relationship between annual and CO2 emission, a novel multi-step prediction algorithm called Extreme Learning Machine with Artificial Bee Colony (ELM-ABC) is proposed for forecasting annual GDP based on CO2 emission and historical GDP features. According to the experimental results, it proved that the proposed model had a super forecasting ability in GDP prediction and it could predict ten-year future annual GDP for the corresponding countries. Moreover, the forecasting results showed that the annual GDP of China and Pakistan will continue to grow but growth will slow after 2025. The annual GDP in India will exhibit unstable growth. Because of the low convergence accuracy of the basic Harris Hawks algorithm, which quickly falls into the local optimal, a Harris Hawks algorithm combining tuna swarm algorithm and differential mutation strategy (TDHHO) is proposed. The escape energy factor of nonlinear periodic energy decline balances the ability of global exploration and regional development. The parabolic foraging approach of the tuna swarm algorithm is introduced to enhance the global exploration ability of the algorithm and accelerate the convergence speed. The difference variation strategy is used to mutate the individual position and calculate the fitness, and the fitness of the original individual position is compared. The greedy technique is used to select the one with better fitness of the objective function, which increases the diversity of the population and improves the possibility of the algorithm jumping out of the local extreme value. The test function tests the TDHHO algorithm, and compared with other optimization algorithms, the experimental results show that the convergence speed and optimization accuracy of the improved Harris Hawks are improved. Finally, the enhanced Harris Hawks algorithm is applied to engineering optimization and wireless sensor networks (WSN) coverage optimization problems, and the feasibility of the TDHHO algorithm in practical application is further verified. Purpose: In general, the existing compressor design methods require abundant knowledge and inspiration. The purpose of this study is to identify an intellectual design optimization method that enables a machine to learn how to design it. Design/methodology/approach: The airfoil design process was solved using the reinforcement learning (RL) method. An intellectual method based on a modified deep deterministic policy gradient (DDPG) algorithm was implemented. The new method was applied to agents to learn the design policy under dynamic constraints. The agents explored the design space with the help of a surrogate model and airfoil parameterization. Findings: The agents successfully learned to design the airfoils. The loss coefficients of a controlled diffusion airfoil improved by 1.25% and 3.23% in the two- and four-dimensional design spaces, respectively. The agents successfully learned to design under various constraints. Additionally, the modified DDPG method was compared with a genetic algorithm optimizer, verifying that the former was one to two orders of magnitude faster in policy searching. The NACA65 airfoil was redesigned to verify the generalization. Originality/value: It is feasible to consider the compressor design as an RL problem. Trained agents can determine and record the design policy and adapt it to different initiations and dynamic constraints. More intelligence is demonstrated than when traditional optimization methods are used. This methodology represents a new, small step toward the intelligent design of compressors. Background: It is important for anesthesiologists to leave good impressions and build rapport with patients during preoperative visits. However, patient preferences for anesthesiologist attire have not been well studied in China.Purpose: To characterize patient perceptions of anesthesiologist attire during preoperative visits.Patients and Methods: In this cross-sectional survey, we included adult patients who underwent elective operations in various surgical departments. We presented photographs of both male and female models wearing six combinations of attire (formal in a white coat buttoned, formal in a white coat unbuttoned, casual in a white coat buttoned, casual in a white coat unbuttoned, scrubs in a white coat buttoned, and scrubs in a coat of the same green color buttoned) in a randomized sequence. Participants were asked to rate each attire combination in five domains, including professionalism, experience, attitude, approachability, and caring.Results: Of the 541 surveys distributed, 516 (95.4%) were completed and included in the analysis. The majority of respondents were female [389 (75.4%)] and aged 31– 45 years [234 (45.3%)]. The combination of scrubs in a buttoned coat of the same color had the highest composite rating score [median (interquartile range): 50 (45, 50), adjusted P< 0.001 compared with the other five combinations]. There was no significant difference in preference for standardized disposable or personalized cloth operating caps. Respondents' age was independently associated with the perceived importance of anesthesiologist attire (46– 60 years vs 18– 35 years: odds ratio 2.17, 95% confidence interval 1.12– 4.18, P=0.021).Conclusion: Patients prefer anesthesiologists wearing scrubs in coats of the same color. As a novel histone deacetylase inhibitor (HDACi), LAQ824 (LAQ) effectively inhibits the proliferation of hematological malignancies and solid tumors. However, phase II trials of LAQ in solid tumors were terminated due to dose-dependent toxicity. Furthermore, LAQ has been shown to induce the activation of the Notch signaling pathway in hematopoietic stem cells, which is associated with tumor progression and drug resistance in colon and breast cancers. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the strategy of LAQ combined with a Notch signaling pathway inhibitor to treat solid tumors. We used RT-PCR and Western blot methods to demonstrate that LAQ upregulated the Notch signaling pathway in solid tumor cell lines at the molecular level. The combination of LAQ and a Notch signaling pathway inhibitor was shown by a Chou–Talalay assay to have a synergistic effect in inhibiting solid tumor cell line proliferation in vitro. We also demonstrated that the combination of LAQ and a Notch signaling pathway inhibitor significantly inhibited the growth of tumor cells in vivo using an allograft tumor model. This study indicates that inhibition of the Notch signaling pathway provides a valuable strategy for enhancing solid tumor sensitivity to LAQ. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background and Objectives: Transfusion‐related guidelines promote restrictive blood transfusion. However, whether these guidelines have been successfully translated into clinical practice in China is unknown. This study aimed to provide updated information about the temporal trends in the prevalence of perioperative red blood cell (RBC) transfusion in China. Materials and Methods: We analysed data from the Hospital Quality Monitoring System database (2013–2018) to investigate the prevalence of perioperative RBC transfusion in patients undergoing craniotomy for cerebral aneurysms or arteriovenous malformations, sternotomy for mitral valve replacement, open thoracotomy lobectomy, open gastrectomy and hip arthroplasty. Mixed‐effects logistic regression models quantified the likelihood of RBC transfusions. Results: The study included 438,183 patients, with 44,697 (10.20%) receiving perioperative RBC transfusions. Introducing transfusion‐related guidelines in China markedly decreased the prevalence of RBC transfusion among patients who underwent major surgical procedures in the following years. The prevalence of RBC transfusion for hip arthroplasty was 17.34% in 2013 and 7.03% in 2018. After adjusting for patient risk factors, the odds ratio of RBC transfusion for hip arthroplasty was significantly lower in 2018 (0.74, 95% confidence intervals [CI] 0.53–1.02) than in 2013 (1.84, 95% CI 1.37–2.48). Conclusion: The prevalence of perioperative RBC transfusion decreased from 2013 to 2018 in China, supporting the potential beneficial effects of transfusion‐related guidelines. The high vascularization of glioma highlights the potential value of anti-angiogenic therapeutics for glioma treatment. Previously, we designed a novel vascular-targeting and blood–brain barrier (BBB)-penetrating peptide, TAT-AT7, by attaching the cell-penetrating peptide TAT to a vascular-targeting peptide AT7, and we demonstrated that TAT-AT7 could target binding to the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR-2) and Neuropilin-1 (NRP-1), which are both highly expressed in endothelial cells. TAT-AT7 has been proven to be a good targeting peptide which could effectively deliver the secretory endostatin gene to treat glioma via the TAT-AT7-modified polyethyleneimine (PEI) nanocomplex. In the current study, we further explored the molecular binding mechanisms of TAT-AT7 to VEGFR-2 and NRP-1 and its anti-glioma effects. Accordingly, TAT-AT7 was proven to competitively bind to VEGFR-2 and NRP-1 and prevent VEGF-A165 binding to the receptors by the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) assay. TAT-AT7 inhibited endothelial cells' proliferation, migration, invasion, and tubule formation, as well as promoted endothelial cells' apoptosis in vitro. Further research revealed that TAT-AT7 inhibited the phosphorylation of VEGFR-2 and its downstream PLC-γ, ERK1/2, SRC, AKT, and FAK kinases. Additionally, TAT-AT7 significantly inhibited angiogenesis of zebrafish embryo. Moreover, TAT-AT7 had a better penetrating ability and could penetrate the BBB into glioma tissue and target glioma neovascularization in an orthotopic U87-glioma-bearing nude mice model, and exhibited the effect of inhibiting glioma growth and angiogenesis. Taken together, the binding and function mechanisms of TAT-AT7 were firstly revealed, and TAT-AT7 was proven to be an effective and promising peptide for the development of anti-angiogenic drugs for targeted treatment of glioma. Background: Gadolinium-based nanoparticles (GdNPs) are clinically used agents to increase the radiosensitivity of tumor cells. However, studies on the mechanisms and biological modeling of GdNP radio-enhancement are still preliminary. This study aims to investigate the mechanism of radio-enhancement of GdNPs for kilovoltage photons using Monte Carlo (MC) simulations, and to establish local effect model (LEM)-based biological model of GdNP radiosensitization. Methods: The spectrum and yield of secondary electrons and dose enhancement around a single GdNP and clustered GdNPs were calculated in a water cube phantom by MC track-structure simulations using TOPAS code. We constructed a partial shell-like cell geometry model of pancreatic cancer cell based on transmission electron microscope (TEM) observations. LEM-based biological modeling of GdNP radiosensitization was established based on the MC-calculated nano-scale dose distributions in the cell model to predict the cell surviving fractions after irradiation. Results: The yield of secondary electrons for GdNP was 0.16% of the yield for gold nanoparticle (GNP), whereas the average electron energy was 12% higher. The majority of the dose enhancement came from the contribution of Auger electrons. GdNP clusters had a larger range and extent of dose enhancement than single GdNPs, although GdNP clustering reduced radial dose per interacting photon significantly. For the dose range between 0 and 8 Gy, the surviving fraction predicted using LEM-based biological model laid within one standard deviation of the published experimental results, and the deviations between them were all within 25%. Conclusions: The mechanism of radio-enhancement of GdNPs for kilovoltage photons was investigated using MC simulations. The prediction results of the established LEM-based biological model for GdNP radiosensitization showed good agreement with published experimental results, although the deviation of simulation parameters can lead to large disparity in the results. Background: Whole lung lavage (WLL) has been recognized as the most effective therapy of severe pulmonary alveolar proteinosis (PAP). Most centers perform the lavage of each lung in two sessions under general anesthesia at an interval of several days to weeks. Compared with two-session WLL, one-session bilateral sequential WLL only requires general anesthesia once. However, the safety of one-session WLL in PAP patients has not been assessed by large cohort studies. In this study, we aimed to investigate the association between the mode of WLL procedure (one-session or two-session) and the risk of periprocedural complications in PAP patients. Methods: In this single-center retrospective cohort study, we included adult patients who were diagnosed as PAP and had undergone WLL procedures under general anesthesia from 2000 to 2022. Patients requiring extra-corporeal oxygenation during WLL were excluded. Since some patients received multiple WLL procedures, we considered each procedure in one-session or two-session group as a unique unit in our analysis. The primary outcome was the occurrence of any complications during hospitalization, including termination of WLL procedure due to fluid leakage or refractory hypoxemia, bronchospasm, delayed endotracheal extubation, cardiovascular event, pneumothorax, and fever. Results: We included a total of 175 WLL procedures (118 patients), with 48 in the two-session group and 127 in the one-session group. Periprocedural complications occurred in 17 (35.4%) and 39 (30.7%) procedures in the two-session and the one-session groups, respectively. The risk of periprocedural complications did not differ significantly between groups, after adjusting the unbalanced confounders in a multivariable model (odds ratio 0.95, 95% confidence interval 0.34 to 2.69, P 0.929) or by inverse probability of treatment weighting (odds ratio 0.70, 95% confidence interval 0.30 to 1.54, P 0.379). Compared with the two-session WLL group, the one-session WLL group had a shorter postprocedural length of hospitalization and comparable decrease in alveolar-arterial oxygen tension gradient from baseline. Conclusions: One-session bilateral WLL was not associated with an increased risk of periprocedural complications compared with two-session WLL in PAP patients. Chromium(III) is extensively used as a supplement for muscle development and the treatment of diabetes mellitus. However, its mode of action, essentiality, and physiological/pharmacological effects have been a subject of scientific debate for over half a century owing to the failure in identifying the molecular targets of Cr(III). Herein, by integrating fluorescence imaging with a proteomic approach, we visualized the Cr(III) proteome being mainly localized in the mitochondria, and subsequently identified and validated eight Cr(III)-binding proteins, which are predominately associated with ATP synthesis. We show that Cr(III) binds to ATP synthase at its beta subunit via the catalytic residues of Thr213/Glu242 and the nucleotide in the active site. Such a binding suppresses ATP synthase activity, leading to the activation of AMPK, improving glucose metabolism, and rescuing mitochondria from hyperglycaemia-induced fragmentation. The mode of action of Cr(III) in cells also holds true in type II diabetic male mice. Through this study, we resolve the long-standing question of how Cr(III) ameliorates hyperglycaemia stress at the molecular level, opening a new horizon for further exploration of the pharmacological effects of Cr(III). Despite common use as a diabetes mellitus supplement, chromium(III)'s pharmacological effects remain unknown. In order to investigate the Chinese government's attitude toward the SCO, this study collected data from the China Core Newspaper Full-text Database, which contains high-impact government newspapers revealing the Chinese government's perception of the SCO. The human tibiofibular complex has undergone a long evolutionary process, giving its structure a high bearing-capacity. The distinct tibiofibular shape can be used in engineering to acquire excellent mechanical properties. In this paper, four types of bionic tubes were designed by extracting the dimensions of different cross-sections of human tibia–fibula. They had the same outer profiles, but different inner shapes. The concept of specific stiffness was introduced to evaluate the mechanical properties of the four tubes. Finite-element simulations and physical bending-tests using a universal testing machine were conducted, to compare their mechanical properties. The simulations showed that the type 2 bionic tube, i.e., the one closest to the human counterpart, obtained the largest specific-stiffness (ε = 6.46 × 104), followed by the type 4 (ε = 6.40 × 104) and the type 1 (ε = 6.39 × 104). The type 3 had the largest mass but the least stiffness (ε = 6.07 × 104). The specific stiffness of the type 2 bionic tube increased by approximately 25.8%, compared with that of the type 3. The physical tests depicted similar findings. This demonstrates that the bionic tube inspired by the human tibiofibular shape has excellent effectiveness and bending properties, and could be used in the fields of healthcare engineering, such as robotics and prosthetics. Background: microRNAs (miRNAs) and N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) play important roles in ovarian cancer (OvCa). However, the mechanisms by which miRNAs regulate m6A in OvCa have not been elucidated so far. Methods: To screen m6A‐related miRNAs, Pearson's correlation analysis of miRNAs and m6A regulators was implemented using The Cancer Genome Atlas database (TCGA). To determine the level of m6A, RNA m6A quantitative assays were used. Then, colony formation assays, EdU assays, wound healing assays, and Transwell assays were performed. The dual‐luciferase reporter assay was used to confirm the miRNA target genes. Protein–protein interaction (PPI) analysis of the target genes was performed, and hub genes were discovered using the cytoHubba/Cytoscape software. The underlying molecular mechanisms were explored by bioinformatics and RNA stability assays. Results: A total of 126 miRNAs were identified as m6A‐related miRNAs by Pearson's correlation analysis. Among them, the high level of miR‐30c‐5p was associated with good prognosis in OvCa patients. In vitro, the miR‐30c‐5p agomir lowered the m6A level and inhibited OvCa cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. The hub target genes of miR‐30c‐5p were identified as (i) XPO1, (ii) AGO1, (iii) HNRNPA2B1, of which m6A reader HNRNPA2B1 was highly expressed in OvCa tissues and related with poor prognosis. In vitro, knockdown of HNRNPA2B1 significantly reduced m6A level and hampered the proliferation and migration of OvCa cells. The inhibition of m6A reader HNRNPA2B1 attenuated the suppression of proliferation and migration and the low m6A level induced by the miR‐30c‐5p downregulation. Mechanistically, m6A reader HNRNPA2B1 might regulate CDK19 mRNA stability to alter m6A level. Conclusions: miR‐30c‐5p inhibits OvCa progression and reduces the m6A level by inhibiting m6A reader HNRNPA2B1, thus providing new insights into the m6A regulatory mechanism in OvCa. Aerodynamic compressor designs require considerable prior knowledge and a deep understanding of complex flow fields. With the development of computer science, artificial intelligence (AI) has been widely applied to compressors design. Among the various AI models, deep reinforcement learning (RL) methods have successfully addressed complex problems in different domains. This paper proposes a modified deep deterministic policy gradient algorithm for compressor design and trains several agents, improving the performance of a 3D transonic rotor for the first time. An error reduction process was applied to improve the capability of the surrogate models, and then RL environments were established based on the surrogate models. The rotors generated by the agent were evaluated by computational fluid dynamic methods, and the flow field analysis indicated that the combination of the sweep, lean, and segment angle modifications reduced the loss near the tip, while improving the pressure ratio in the middle section. Different policy combinations were explored, confirming that the combined policy improved the rotor performance more than single policies. An aircraft engine's performance depends largely on the compressors' aerodynamic design, which aims to achieve higher stage pressure, efficiency, and an acceptable stall margin. Existing design methods require substantial prior knowledge and different optimization algorithms to determine the 2D and 3D features of the blades, in which the design policy needs to be more readily systematized. With the development of artificial intelligence (AI), deep reinforcement learning (RL) has been successfully applied to complex design problems in different domains and provides a feasible method for compressor design. In addition, the applications of AI methods in compressor research have progressively developed. This paper described a combined artificial-intelligence aerodynamic design method based on a modified deep deterministic policy gradient algorithm and a genetic algorithm (GA) and integrated the GA into the RL framework. The trained agent learned the design policy and used it to improve the GA optimization result of a single-stage transonic compressor rotor. Consequently, the rotor exhibited a higher pressure ratio and efficiency owing to the sweep feature, lean feature, and 2D airfoil angle changes. The separation near the tip and the secondary flow decreased after the GA process, and at the same time, the shockwave was weakened, providing improved efficiency. Most of these beneficial flow field features remained after agent modification to improve the pressure ratio, showing that the policy learned by the agent was generally universal. Purpose: Medication adherence plays an important role in glycemic control in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) self-management. To analyze the factors influencing medication adherence in T2DM patients and the effect of pharmacist-led interventions, we conducted a study in Beijing, China. Patients and Methods: T2DM patients with hypoglycemic drugs for at least 6 months were enrolled. A pharmacist-led survey was conducted followed by individualized interventions for those non-adherent patients monthly within 3 months. FPG, HbA1c, and 2hPG were measured as the comprehensive glycemic control. Medication adherence was determined according to the patient's self-reported compliance with prescribed medication during the last 3 months. Results: A total of 763 T2DM patients were included. The average age was 63.26± 11.89 years, with 363 males. After pharmacist intervention, the patients with good adherence increased from 34.21% to 39.06%, while poor adherence decreased from 32.5% to 24.5% (p < 0.001). The average adherence score was a significant increase (p < 0.001) from 27.846± 4.185 to 29.831± 7.065. Furthermore, our study demonstrated that pharmacist-led interventions significantly increased glycemic control (FPG from 42.33% to 53.60%, p < 0.001; 2hPG from 41.68% to 48.75%, p = 0.005; HbA1c from 24.12% to 29.23%, p = 0.024). The results found that body mass index (OR 0.643, 95% CI 0.437– 0.945), use of medications empirically (occasionally (OR=3.066, 95% CI 2.069– 4.543); often (OR=2.984, 95% CI 1.107– 8.044)), following the doctor's advice to visit (OR 2.129, 95% CI 1.079– 4.202) and lifestyle compliance (OR 2.835, 95% CI 1.094– 7.346) were the independent risk factors of non-adherence (p < 0.05), the area under the ROC curve was 0.716. Conclusion: Self-reported medication adherence and glycemic control in T2DM patients were poor which can be improved by pharmacist-led interventions. Interventions should focus on empirical medication behavior, non-adherence to lifestyle, and failure to follow the doctor's advice. In the existing research on prosthetic footplates, rehabilitation insoles, and robot feet, the cushioning parts are basically based on simple mechanisms and elastic pads. Most of them are unable to provide adequate impact resistance especially during contact with the ground. This paper developed a bioinspired heel pad by optimizing the inner structures inspired from human heel pad which has great cushioning performance. The distinct structures of the human heel pad were determined through magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology and related literatures. Five-layer pads with and without inner structures by using two materials (soft rubber and resin) were obtained, resulting in four bionic heel pads. Three finite element simulations (static, impact, and walking) were conducted to compare the cushioning effects in terms of deformations, ground reactions, and principal stress. The optimal pad with bionic structures and soft rubber material reduced 28.0% peak vertical ground reaction force (GRF) during walking compared with the unstructured resin pad. Human walking tests by a healthy subject wearing the 3D printed bionic pads also showed similar findings, with an almost 20% decrease in peak vertical GRF at normal speed. The soft rubber heel pad with bionic structures has the best cushioning performance, while the unstructured resin pad depicts the poorest. This study proves that with proper design of the inner structures and materials, the bionic pads will demonstrate distinct cushioning properties, which could be applied to the engineering fields, including lower limb prosthesis, robotics, and rehabilitations. The galvanic skin response (GSR), which is a manifestation of the activity in eccrine sweat glands, has always been an important psychological test to evaluate emotional arousal and mental stress. Although researches have focused on the radio reflections of skin and revealed that sweat gland activity can change the reflection signal of skin, the complicated experimental settings including vector network analyzer (VNA) and even optical path design limit further daily life application. In this article, we demonstrate the potential of using commodity millimeter-wave (mmWave) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar for contactless GSR sensing. To simulate the reflected signals of the frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) radar to the skin of different individuals, a four-layered skin model focused on the sweat duct is used and the change in conductivity in sweat ducts is regarded as mapping of sweat gland activity. Extensive experiments are conducted, consisting of three different physiological statuses: relaxing status, mental stress status, and physical stress status. We design a beamformer to transform the raw signal to the space domain so that the reflection signals from the palm are separated. The principal components of the processed signal are extracted to eliminate the interference caused by breathing and random noise. We evaluate the performance in terms of the correlation between the radar signal and the GSR before and after stress-induced events. (1) Background: We aimed to compare gender differences in knee biomechanics and neuromuscular characteristics, and to determine the relationships between lower limb muscle pre-activations and knee biomechanics during a single leg drop landing, in order to identify riskier landing patterns to prevent injury and intervene properly. (2) Methods: Descriptive laboratory cross-sectional study on 38 healthy untrained subjects with low to moderate physical activity status. (3) Results: During the initial-contact phase of landing, females demonstrated greater peak vertical ground reaction force (GRF) normalized to body weight (49.12 ± 7.53 vs. 39.88 ± 5.69 N/kg; p < 0.001; Hedge's g = 1.37), peak knee anterior reaction force normalized to body weight (0.23 ± 0.04 vs. 0.17 ± 0.05 N/kg; p < 0.001; Hedge's g = 1.33), and decreased pre-activation of the semitendinosus (45.10 ± 20.05% vs. 34.03 ± 12.05%; p = 0.04; Hedge's g = 0.67). The final regression equation was peak knee anterior reaction force = 0.024 + 0.025 (peak knee flexion moment) − 0.02 (semitendinosus-to-vastus lateralis pre-activation ratio) + 0.003 (peak vertical GRF) (R2 = 0.576, p < 0.001). (4) Conclusions: Overall, the data provided in this study support that a reduced semitendinosus-to-vastus lateralis pre-activation ratio predicted an increase in knee anterior reaction force and potentially an increase in ACL forces. Female non-athletes had gender-specific landing characteristics that may contribute to ACL injury. Future studies are warranted to consider more possible predictors of non-contact ACL injury. Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) infection causes huge economic losses to the pig industry worldwide. DNAJA3, a member of the Hsp40 family proteins, is known to play an important role in the replication of several viruses. However, it remains unknown if it interacts with PEDV. We found that DNAJA3 interacted with PEDV S1, initially with yeast two-hybrid screening and later with Co-IP, GST pull-down, and confocal imaging. Further experiments showed the functional relationship between DNAJA3 and PEDV in the infected IPEC-J2 cells. DNAJA3 overexpression significantly inhibited PEDV replication while its knockdown had the opposite effect, suggesting that it is a negative regulator of PEDV replication. In addition, DNAJA3 expression could be downregulated by PEDV infection possibly as the viral strategy to evade the suppressive role of DNAJA3. By gene silencing and overexpression, we were able to show that DNAJA3 inhibited PEDV adsorption to IPEC-J2 cells but did not affect virus invasion. Background: Tea plant (Camellia sinensis (L.) O. Kuntze) is an important economic tea crop, but flowering will consume a lot of nutrients of C. sinensis, which will seriously affect the nutritional growth of C. sinensis. However, there are few studies on the development mechanism of C. sinensis flower, and most studies focus on a single C. sinensis cultivar. Results: Here, we identified a 92-genes' C. sinensis flower development core transcriptome from the transcriptome of three C. sinensis cultivars ('BaiYe1', 'HuangJinYa' and 'SuChaZao') in three developmental stages (bud stage, white bud stage and blooming stage). In addition, we also reveal the changes in endogenous hormone contents and the expression of genes related to synthesis and signal transduction during the development of C. sinensis flower. The results showed that most genes of the core transcriptome were involved in circadian rhythm and autonomous pathways. Moreover, there were only a few flowering time integrators, only 1 HD3A, 1 SOC1 and 1 LFY, and SOC1 played a dominant role in the development of C. sinensis flower. Furthermore, we screened out 217 differentially expressed genes related to plant hormone synthesis and 199 differentially expressed genes related to plant hormone signal transduction in C. sinensis flower development stage. Conclusions: By constructing a complex hormone regulation network of C. sinensis flowering, we speculate that MYC, FT, SOC1 and LFY play key roles in the process of endogenous hormones regulating C. sinensis flowering development. Simple Summary: In our study, the involvement of IDH1 in atherosclerotic foam cells was explored. Inhibiting macrophage ferroptosis and foam cell formation by knocking down IDH1 is a promising study direction for better understanding the occurrence and progression of atherosclerosis, as well as the treatment targets for atherosclerosis. A distinctive feature of ferroptosis is intracellular iron accumulation and the impairment of antioxidant capacity, resulting in a lethal accumulation of lipid peroxides leading to cell death. This study was conducted to determine whether inhibiting isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) may help to prevent foam cell formation by reducing oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL)-induced ferroptosis in macrophages and activating nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (NRF2). Gene expression profiling (GSE70126 and GSE70619) revealed 21 significantly different genes, and subsequent bioinformatics research revealed that ferroptosis and IDH1 play essential roles in foam cell production. We also confirmed that ox-LDL elevates macrophage ferroptosis and IDH1 protein levels considerably as compared with controls. Ferrostatin-1 (Fer-1), a ferroptosis inhibitor, reduced ox-LDL-induced elevated Fe2+ levels, lipid peroxidation (LPO) buildup, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) buildup, glutathione (GSH) depletion, glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4), ferritin heavy polypeptide 1 (FTH1), and solute carrier family 7 member 11 (SLC7A11) protein downregulation. More crucially, inhibiting IDH1 reduced Fe2+ overload, lipid peroxidation, LDH, and glutathione depletion, and elevated GPX4, FTH1, and SLC7A11 protein expression, resulting in a reduction in ox-LDL-induced macrophage ferroptosis. IDH1 inhibition suppressed ox-LDL-induced macrophage damage and apoptosis while raising NRF2 protein levels. We have demonstrated that inhibiting IDH1 reduces ox-LDL-induced ferroptosis and foam cell formation in macrophages, implying that IDH1 may be an important molecule regulating foam cell formation and may be a promising molecular target for the treatment of atherosclerosis. Nitric oxide (NO), as a signal molecule, is involved in the mediation of heavy-metal-stress-induced physiological responses in plants. In this study, we investigated the effect of NO on Camellia sinensis pollen tubes exposed to aluminum (Al) stress. Exogenous application of the NO donor decreased the pollen germination rate and pollen tube length and increased the malondialdehyde (MDA) content and antioxidant enzyme activities under Al stress. Simultaneously, the NO donor effectively increased NO content in pollen tube of C. sinensis under Al stress and could aggravate the damage of Al3+ to C. sinensis pollen tubes by promoting the uptake of Al3+. In addition, application of the NO-specific scavenger significantly alleviated stress damage in C. sinensis pollen tube under Al stress. Moreover, 18 CsALMT members from a key Al-transporting gene family were identified, which could be divided into four subclasses. Pearson correlation analysis showed the expression level of CsALMT8 showed significant positive correlation with the Al3+ concentration gradient and NO levels, but a significant negative correlation with pollen germination rate and pollen tube length. The expression level of CsALMT5 was negatively correlated with the Al3+ concentration gradient and NO level, and positively correlated with pollen germination rate and pollen tube length. The expression level of CsALMT17 showed a significant negative correlation with Al3+ concentration and NO content in pollen tubes, but significant positive correlation with pollen germination rate and pollen tube length. In conclusion, a complex signal network regulated by NO-mediated CsALMTs revealed that CsALMT8 was regulated by environmental Al3+ and NO to assist Al3+ entry into pollen tubes; CsALMT5 might be influenced by the Al3+ signal, stimulate malate efflux in vacuoles and chelate with Al3+ to detoxify Al in C. sinensis pollen tube. Thermally chargeable supercapacitors (TCSCs) are emerging and promising devices that could convert thermal energy spontaneously existing in nature into electricity and then store energy for further utilization. Herein, this work reports on the freestanding 3D Ti3C2Tx MXene‐based TCSC, where lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (LiTFSI), poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO), and polyvinylidene fluoride‐hexafluoropropylene (PVDF‐HFP) serve as gel electrolyte. Different from the semiconductor‐based thermoelectric materials, the fabricated Ti3C2Tx TCSC exhibits a high Seebeck coefficient of 78.4 mV K−1. Moreover, when applying a temperature difference (ΔT) of 5.8 K between the cold and hot sides, the Ti3C2Tx TCSC devices provide a stable high voltage of 400.6 mV. The charging/discharging cycles of the Ti3C2Tx TCSC devices upon periodic ΔT of 3.3 and 5.8 K demonstrate their excellent stability. To realize the practical application, the four Ti3C2Tx TCSCs devices connected in series are charged by supplying a ΔT of 5.8 K and used to power a digital timer, demonstrating the possibility and application of the TCSCs in self‐powered integrated electronics. Endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress initiates the unfolded protein response (UPR) and is decisive for tumor cell growth and tumor microenvironment (TME) maintenance. Tumor cells persistently undergo ER stress and could transmit it to the neighboring macrophages and surroundings. Tumor infiltrating macrophages can also adapt to the microenvironment variations to fulfill their highly energy-demanding and biological functions via ER stress. However, whether the different macrophage populations differentially sense ER stress and transmit ER stress to surrounding tumor cells has not yet been elucidated. Here, we aimed to investigate the role of transmissible ER stress, a novel regulator of intercellular communication in the TME. Murine bone marrow-derived macrophage (BMDM) can be polarized toward distinct functional endpoints termed classical (M1) and alternative (M2) activation, and their polarization status has been shown to be tightly correlated with their functional significance. We showed that tumor cells could receive the transmissible ER stress from two differentially polarized macrophage populations with different extent of ER stress activation. Bone mass is maintained by the balance between osteoclast-induced bone resorption and osteoblast-triggered bone formation. In inflammatory arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA), however, increased osteoclast differentiation and activity skew this balance resulting in progressive bone loss. O-GlcNAcylation is a posttranslational modification with attachment of a single O-linked β-D-N-acetylglucosamine (O-GlcNAc) residue to serine or threonine residues of target proteins. Although O-GlcNAcylation is one of the most common protein modifications, its role in bone homeostasis has not been systematically investigated. We demonstrate that dynamic changes in O-GlcNAcylation are required for osteoclastogenesis. Increased O-GlcNAcylation promotes osteoclast differentiation during the early stages, whereas its downregulation is required for osteoclast maturation. At the molecular level, O-GlcNAcylation affects several pathways including oxidative phosphorylation and cell-cell fusion. TNFα fosters the dynamic regulation of O-GlcNAcylation to promote osteoclastogenesis in inflammatory arthritis. Targeted pharmaceutical or genetic inhibition of O-GlcNAc transferase (OGT) or O-GlcNAcase (OGA) arrests osteoclast differentiation during early stages of differentiation and during later maturation, respectively, and ameliorates bone loss in experimental arthritis. Knockdown of NUP153, an O-GlcNAcylation target, has similar effects as OGT inhibition and inhibits osteoclastogenesis. Background: Neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) is one of the common causes of neurological injury in full-term neonates following perinatal asphyxia. The conventional magnetic resonance technique has low sensitivity in detecting variations in cerebral blood flow in patients with HIE. Objective: This article evaluates the clinical diagnostic value of three-dimensional pseudo-continuous arterial spin labelling (3-D pcASL) perfusion magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for early prediction of neurobehavioral outcomes in full-term neonates with HIE. Materials and methods: All neonates diagnosed with HIE underwent MRI (conventional and 3-D pcASL perfusion MRI). Cerebral blood flow values were measured in the basal ganglia (caudate nuclei, lenticular nuclei), thalami and white matter regions (frontal lobes, corona radiata). After 1-month follow-up, the Neonatal Behavioral Neurological Assessment scores were used to divide patients into favourable outcome group versus adverse outcome group. Results: Twenty-three patients were enrolled in this study. There were no statistical differences between the symmetrical cerebral blood flow values of bilateral basal ganglia, thalami and white matter regions. However, the cerebral blood flow values of grey matter nuclei were higher than the white matter regions. The average value of cerebral blood flow in the basal ganglia and thalami in the adverse outcome group was 37.28±6.42 ml/100 g/min, which is greater than the favourable outcome group (22.55 ± 3.21 ml/100 g/min) (P<0.01). The area under the curve (AUC) of 3-D pcASL perfusion MRI was 0.992 with a cutoff value of 28.75 ml/100 g/min, with a Youden's index of 0.9231. The sensitivity and specificity were 92.3% and 100%, respectively. Conclusion: The 3-D pcASL demonstrated higher perfusion alteration in the basal ganglia and thalami of neonatal HIE with adverse outcomes. Background and aims: although an association between metabolic syndrome (MS) and cardiovascular disease risk has been documented, the relationship in patients with complex calcified coronary lesions undergoing rotational atherectomy (RA) and drug-eluting stent(DES) insertion remains controversial. Here, the influence of MS on outcomes was assessed. Methods and results: we retrospectively included 398 patients who underwent RA and DES insertion for complex calcified coronary lesions in our institution between June 2015 and January 2019. The modified Adult Treatment Plan III was used to diagnose MS. The endpoint was major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs), comprising mortality from all causes, myocardial infarction, and target vessel revascularization (TVR). In all, 173 (43.5%) patients had MS. MS was significantly associated with MACE over the 28.32 ± 6.79-month follow-up period (HR 1.783, 95% CI from 1.122 to 2.833) even after adjustment for other possible confounders. Conclusion: MS was frequently observed in patients treated with RA with DES insertion for complex calcified coronary lesions. MS independently predicted MACE in these patients. Atherosclerosis (AS) is one of the leading causes of death among the elderly, and is primarily caused by foam cell generation and macrophage inflammation. Rutin is an anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-allergic, and antiviral flavonoid molecule, known to have anti-atherosclerotic and autophagy-inducing properties, but its biological mechanism remains poorly understood. In this study, we uncovered that rutin could suppress the generation of inflammatory factors and reactive oxygen species (ROS) in ox-LDL-induced M2 macrophages and enhance their polarization. Moreover, rutin could decrease foam cell production, as shown by oil red O staining. In addition, rutin could increase the number of autophagosomes and the LC3II/I ratio, while lowering p62 expression. Furthermore, rutin could significantly inhibit the PI3K/ATK signaling pathway. In summary, rutin inhibits ox-LDL-mediated macrophage inflammation and foam cell formation by inducing autophagy and modulating PI3K/ATK signaling, showing potential in treating atherosclerosis. Labels provide a quick and effective solution to obtain people interesting content from large-scale social network information. The current interest label extraction method based on the subgraph stream proves the feasibility of the subgraph stream for user label extraction. However, it is extremely time-consuming for constructing subgraphs. As an effective mathematical method to deal with fuzzy and uncertain information, rough set-based representations for subgraph stream construction are capable of capturing the uncertainties of the social network. Therefore, we propose an effective approach called RS_UNITE_SS (namely, rough-set-based user-networked interest topic extraction in the form of subgraph stream), which is suitable for large-scale social network user interest label extraction. Specifically, we first propose the subgraph division algorithm to construct a subgraph stream by incorporating a rough set. Then, the algorithm for user real-time interest label extraction based on upper approximation (RILE) is proposed by using sequentially characteristics of the subgraph. Empirically, we evaluate RS_UNITE_SS over real-world datasets, and experimental results demonstrate that our proposed approach is more computationally efficient than existing methods while achieving higher precision value and MRR value. BACKGROUND Water‐soluble fluoride (WS‐F) can be absorbed directly by tea plants from soil and comprises a major source of dietary F in tea consumers. To reveal the WS‐F accumulation in tea leaves and assess WS‐F health risks, 70 sets of samples including tea leaves at three maturity stages and corresponding topsoil were collected from Xinyang, China. The WS‐F contents in tea samples and pH values in soil samples were determined. RESULTS: The contents of WS‐F in tea leaves exhibited a positive correlation with leaf maturity. The contents of WS‐F in tea leaves showed a positive correlation with WS‐F contents in the soil as the soil pH value exceeds 5. All the bud with two leaves samples, 84.29% of the third to sixth leaves samples, and 78.57% mature leaves samples in 5‐min infusion tend to be no health threat. The leaching characteristics of WS‐F from tea leaves were influenced by the leaf maturity and soaking time. CONCLUSION: Taking measures to control pH and WS‐F concentration of plantations soil, as well as drinking tea infusion made from young leaves or reducing soaking time could decrease the WS‐F health risk. © 2021 Society of Chemical Industry. Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) can infect pigs of all ages, especially piglets. PEDV has spread across Asia since the 1980s. The highly virulent variant PEDV broke out on a large scale and caused huge economic losses to the pig industry in late 2010 in China. Rapid detection methods with high specificity and sensitivity are urgently needed for the diagnosis and control of the disease. In this study, we divided the PEDV S1 gene into three segments and constructed the recombinant plasmids pFastBac1-S1T1 (aa 21–279), pFastBac1-S1T2 (aa 280–539) and pFastBac1-S1T3 (aa 540–788), which carry the different antigenic regions of the S1 gene. Truncated S1 proteins PEDV-S1T1/S1T2/S1T3 were obtained by a Bac-to-Bac expression system, with protein sizes of 36 kDa, 38 kDa and 38 kDa, respectively. Recombinant proteins presented high reactivity with the monoclonal antibody against PEDV and positive pig serum. Based on full-length S1 protein and these truncated proteins, we established indirect ELISA methods for the detection of PEDV IgA antibody. A total of 213 clinical serum samples were tested by the above indirect ELISA methods, and IFA was used as the gold standard. ROC curves revealed a significant correlation between S1-ELISA and S1T2-ELISA with a 0.9134 correlation coefficient and favourable sensitivity and specificity of S1-ELISA (93.24%, 95.68%) and S1T2-ELISA (89.33%, 94.16%). Our results also indicated that serum with higher neutralizing activity (SNT ≥ 40) had a higher IgA antibody level based on S1-ELISA, S1T1-ELISA and S1T2-ELISA. In conclusion, both S1-ELISA and S1T2-ELISA can be used as candidate systems for detecting anti-PEDV IgA antibody titers in serum, which can reflect the level of neutralizing activity in pigs after natural infection or vaccination. The above research results provide a basis for the prevention and control of PEDV and can be used in the detection of host anti-infective immunity and evaluation of vaccine immune effects. Parameter sensitivity analysis is usually required to select the key parameters with high sensitivity to the optimal goal before the optimization is carried out, especially for flux-switching permanent magnet (FSPM) machines where lot of design parameters should be considered. Unlike the traditional studies on parameter sensitivity, which are generally experience- or statistics-based, and are time-consuming, this paper proposes a parameter sensitivity analysis method of a FSPM machine based on a magnetic equivalent circuit (MEC), which enables the parameters' sensitivities to be evaluated by their exponential in the nondimensionalized equations, thus providing a fast and accurate way to obtain the parameter sensitivities. Thereafter, the influences of modular manufacturing methods on magnetic performances are discussed, and the robust design approach for the FSPM machine is introduced, which aims to achieve the best machine stability and robustness by setting boundaries on design dimensions when taking into account the manufacturing tolerances.
