High temperature-induced hypocotyl elongation is a typical thermomorphogenesis trait that may significantly affect early seedling growth and subsequent crop yield. The ambient temperature and endogenous auxin are two critical factors that regulate hypocotyl growth. However, the mechanism of temperature and auxin integration in horticultural plants remains poorly understood. In this study, the roles of the basic helix-loop-helix transcription factor CsPIF4 in regulating auxin biosynthesis genes and the auxin content in the hypocotyl of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) seedlings under high temperature were investigated. qRT-PCR and in situ hybridization analysis revealed that expression of CsPIF4 was enhanced in the epidermis and vascular bundles in the hypocotyl of cucumber seedlings in response to high temperature. qRT-PCR and HPLC analysis showed that CsPIF4 positively regulated transcription of the auxin biosynthesis gene CsYUC8 and the auxin content in the hypocotyl under high temperature (35 ℃). The CRISPR/Cas9-mediated knockout of CsPIF4 resulted in a shorter hypocotyl compared with that of the wild type, together with decreased expression of CsYUC8 and lower auxin content in response to high temperature. Furthermore, biochemical assays showed that CsPIF4 could bind directly to the G-box motif of the CsYUC8 promoter and thereby activate CsYUC8 expression. Bacillus subtilis is a widespread Gram-positive facultative aerobic bacterium that is recognized as generally safe. It has shown significant application value and great development potential in the animal farming industry. As a probiotic, it is frequently used as a feed growth supplement to effectively replace antibiotics due to its favourable effects on regulating the intestinal flora, improving intestinal immunity, inhibiting harmful microorganisms, and secreting bioactive substances. Consequently, the gut health and disease resistance of farmed animals can be improved. Both vegetative and spore forms of B. subtilis have also been utilized as vaccine carriers for delivering the antigens of infectious pathogens for over a decade. Notably, its spore form is regarded as one of the most prospective for displaying heterologous antigens with high activity and stability. Previously published reviews have predominantly focused on the development and applications of B. subtilis spore surface display techniques. However, this review aims to summarize recent studies highlighting the important role of B. subtilis as a probiotic and vaccine carrier in maintaining animal health. Specifically, we focus on the beneficial effects and underlying mechanisms of B. subtilis in enhancing disease resistance among farmed animals as well as its potential application as mucosal vaccine carriers. Purpose: This study was designed to develop and validate a machine learning-based, multimodality fusion (MMF) model using 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET/CT radiomics and kernelled support tensor machine (KSTM), integrated with clinical factors and nuclear medicine experts' diagnoses to individually predict peritoneal metastasis (PM) in advanced gastric cancer (AGC). Methods: A total of 167 patients receiving preoperative PET/CT and subsequent surgery were included between November 2006 and September 2020 and were divided into a training and testing cohort. The PM status was confirmed via laparoscopic exploration and postoperative pathology. The PET/CT signatures were constructed by classic radiomic, handcrafted-feature-based model and KSTM self-learning-based model. The clinical nomogram was constructed by independent risk factors for PM. Lastly, the PET/CT signatures, clinical nomogram, and experts' diagnoses were fused using evidential reasoning to establish the MMF model. Results: The MMF model showed excellent performance in both cohorts (area under the curve [AUC] 94.16% and 90.84% in training and testing), and demonstrated better prediction accuracy than clinical nomogram or experts' diagnoses (net reclassification improvement p < 0.05). The MMF model also had satisfactory generalization ability, even in mucinous adenocarcinoma and signet ring cell carcinoma which have poor uptake of 18F-FDG (AUC 97.98% and 89.71% in training and testing). Conclusions: The 18F-FDG PET/CT radiomics-based MMF model may have significant clinical implications in predicting PM in AGC, revealing that it is necessary to combine the information from different modalities for comprehensive prediction of PM. Magnetosonic (MS) waves with frequencies above the proton gyrofrequency can be locally generated by ring‐beam protons in the Martian heavy ion‐rich ionosphere. In this study, we conduct a parametric analysis to investigate the effects of heavy ion concentrations, energy (Erb), and angle (αrb) of ring‐beam protons, and wave normal angle on the excitation features of Martian ionospheric MS waves. We find the growth rates and frequency range of MS waves decrease by including O+ and O2+ ions but are insensitive to their relative concentrations. With increasing Erb or αrb, the growth rates of MS waves show a general dropping tendency. Meanwhile, their frequency and wavenumber range are almost unaffected by increasing Erb but shrink to a narrower range mainly distributed in high frequencies by increasing αrb. Unstable MS waves expand to a wider wavenumber range but shrink to a narrower frequency range as they become more oblique. Generally, they are locally excited by ring‐like hot protons in plasmas that lack heavy ions. Simple Summary: The body size of ducks reflects their skeletal development and growth status. However, the rapid growth and early large body size of meat ducks negatively affect subsequent slaughter and processing. Therefore, it is necessary to identify candidate genetic markers and genes involved in body size regulation. In this study, we conducted genome-wide association studies (GWASs) on the body length (BL), keel bone length (KBL), neck length (NL), and breast width (BrW) of 42-day-old Pekin ducks (Anas platyrhynchos domestica). The results showed that BL and KBL had similar GWAS signals. Based on these results, we further identified causal haplotypes and candidate genes affecting BL and KBL. This research provides new genetic insights into the growth and development of Pekin ducks and has important implications for their breeding improvement. Body size is an important growth indicator in ducks and is a primary selection criterion for physical improvement. An excessively rapid growth rate in meat ducks can result in excessive body size, which may hinder subsequent processing and slaughter operations. However, only a few molecular markers related to body size have been studied in meat ducks. In this study, we performed a genome-wide association study (GWAS) to identify candidate genes and QTLs affecting body length (BL), keel bone length (KBL), neck length (NL), and breast width (BrW) in Pekin ducks (Anas platyrhynchos domestica). Our results indicate the significant SNP for NL is located within a pseudogene, whereas the significant SNP for BrW is located in an intergenic region. More importantly, our analysis identified a haplotype that was significantly associated with both BL and KBL. This haplotype, containing 48 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), is localized within the XKR4 gene. The identification of this haplotype suggests that XKR4 may be a key candidate gene influencing BL and KBL in Pekin ducks. These findings have important implications for the breeding and genetic improvement of Pekin ducks, and provide valuable insights into the genetic architecture of body size traits in this species. Human papillomaviruses (HPVs) account for more than 30% of cancer cases, with definite identification of the oncogenic role of viral E6 and E7 genes. However, the identification of high-risk HPV genotypes has largely relied on lagged biological exploration and clinical observation, with types unclassified and oncogenicity unknown for many HPVs. In the present study, we retrieved and cleaned HPV sequence records with high quality and analyzed their genomic compositional traits of dinucleotide (DNT) and DNT representation (DCR) to overview the distribution difference among various types of HPVs. Then, a deep learning model was built to predict the oncogenic potential of all HPVs based on E6 and E7 genes. Our results showed that the main three groups of Alpha, Beta, and Gamma HPVs were clearly separated between/among types in the DCR trait for either E6 or E7 coding sequence (CDS) and were clustered within the same group. Moreover, the DCR data of either E6 or E7 were learnable with a convolutional neural network (CNN) model. Either CNN classifier predicted accurately the oncogenicity label of high and low oncogenic HPVs. In summary, the compositional traits of HPV oncogenicity-related genes E6 and E7 were much different between the high and low oncogenic HPVs, and the compositional trait of the DCR-based deep learning classifier predicted the oncogenic phenotype accurately of HPVs. Electron cyclotron harmonic (ECH) waves are electrostatic emissions with frequencies between the harmonics of the electron gyrofrequencies. Their frequency properties provide clues for understanding their generation and are keys to evaluating their scattering efficiency. Based on Magnetospheric Multiscale satellite observations, we explored the statistical frequency properties of first‐harmonic band ECH waves in the outer magnetosphere. The frequencies at the peak power of ECH waves are found to be day‐night and dawn‐dusk asymmetries, with higher values in the regions from dawn to post‐noon, and these asymmetries are more evident during weaker geomagnetic activity. Furthermore, the frequencies at the peak power of ECH waves decrease gradually with increasing |MLAT| and are positively correlated with their amplitudes at each magnetic local time or |MLAT|. Information on the frequency properties of ECH waves presented in this study can be crucial for future modeling of their contributions to magnetospheric electron dynamics. Lycium barbarum L., an important functional food in China, has antioxidant and antiaging activity. However, the exact antioxidant activity mechanism of Lycium barbarum extracts (LBE) is not well understood. Therefore, a carbendazim (CBZ)-induced PC12 cell injury model was constructed and vitrificated to study the antioxidant activity of fresh LBE on the basis of extraction parameter optimization via the full factorial design of experiments (DOE) method. The results showed that the pretreatment of PC12 cells with LBE could reduce the reactive oxygen species (ROS) level by 14.6% and inhibited the mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) decline by 12.0%. Furthermore, the integrated analysis revealed that LBE played an antioxidant role by activating oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) and restoring MMP, maintaining the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle stability, and regulating the GSH metabolic pathway. Objective: We performed this pooled analysis for the first time to comprehensively explore the prognostic value of tumor-associated high endothelial venules (TA-HEVs) and determine their relationships with clinicopathological features in solid tumors. Methods: Four online databases, including PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and Cochrane Library, were comprehensively searched to identify studies assessing the effect of TA-HEVs on prognosis or clinicopathological features. Hazard ratios (HRs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were applied to evaluate survival outcomes, including overall survival (OS), disease-free survival (DFS), progression-free survival (PFS), and cancer-specific survival (CSS). The association between TA-HEV status and clinicopathological characteristics was assessed by odds ratios (ORs) combined with 95% CIs. Subgroup analysis was conducted to explore sources of heterogeneity. The sensitivity analysis was performed to evaluate the stability of our findings. Meanwhile, Funnel plots were employed to visually evaluate potential publication bias, and both Begg's and Egger's tests were adopted to quantitatively determine publication bias. Results: A total of 13 retrospective cohort studies, involving 1,933 patients were finally included in this meta-analysis. Effect-size pooling analysis showed that the positivity of TA-HEVs was related to improved OS (pooled HR: 0.75, 95% CI: 0.62-0.93, P<0.01), and DFS (pooled HR = 0.54, 95% CI = 0.41-0.72, P< 0.01). However, TA-HEV positivity in solid tumors was not linked to PFS (pooled HR = 0.75, 95% CI 0.34-1.64, P = 0.47) or CSS (pooled HR: 0.58, 95% CI: 0.04-7.58, P= 0.68). Further subgroup analysis demonstrated that ethnicity and source of HR were the main factors contributing to heterogeneity. Moreover, TA-HEVs were inversely associated with lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis, but were positively related to worse tumor differentiation. However, TA-HEVs were not significantly correlated with sex, LVI, clinical stage, and depth of invasion. Sensitivity analysis suggested that the pooled results were stable and reliable, with no significant publication bias in all included articles. Conclusions: This is the first comprehensive analysis of the prognostic value of TA-HEVs in solid tumors using existing literature. Overall, our study demonstrated a significant correlation between TA-HEVs and prognosis as well as clinicopathological features. 6061 aluminum alloy and 304 stainless steel were joined successfully by thermo-compensated resistance diffusion welding (abbreviated as TC-RDW) technology with Ni interlayer via pre-resistance seam welding (abbreviated as RSW). Experimental results indicated the metallurgical bond between interlayer and steel based on pre-RSW achieved a large-area Al/Ni/steel joint with better interfacial structure by subsequent TC-RBW process. An obvious diffusion layer with the main components of Al solid solution (s.s) was formed between Al alloy and interlayer in the final Al/steel joints. The interfacial structure was changed as follows: Al alloy, diffusion layer, interlayer, and steel. The tensile-shear load of the final Al/Ni/steel welded joint by this method reached 1793.3N, which was more than 3 times higher than that of the Al/steel joint via TC-RBW directly. The specimens mainly fractured at the interface between Al alloy and Ni interlayer after tensile-shear experiments. To increase the processability and plasticity of the selective laser melting (SLM) fabricated Al–Mn–Mg–Er–Zr alloys, a novel TiB2-modified Al–Mn–Mg–Er–Zr alloy with a mixture of Al–Mn–Mg–Er–Zr and nano-TiB2 powders was fabricated by SLM. The processability, microstructure, and mechanical properties of the alloy were systematically investigated by density measurement, microstructure characterization, and mechanical properties testing. The alloys fabricated at 250 W displayed higher relative densities due to a uniformly smooth top surface and appropriate laser energy input. The maximum relative density value of the alloy reached (99.7 ± 0.1)%, demonstrating good processability. The alloy exhibited a duplex grain microstructure consisting of columnar regions primarily and equiaxed regions with TiB2, Al6Mn, and Al3Er phases distributed along the grain boundaries. After directly aging treatment at a high temperature of 400°C, the strength of the SLM-fabricated TiB2/Al–Mn–Mg–Er–Zr alloy increased due to the precipitation of the secondary Al6Mn phases. The maximum yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the aging alloy were measured to be (374 ± 1) and (512 ± 13) MPa, respectively. The SLM-fabricated TiB2/Al–Mn–Mg–Er–Zr alloy demonstrates exceptional strength and thermal stability due to the synergistic effects of the inhibition of grain growth, the incorporation of TiB2 nanoparticles, and the precipitation of secondary Al6Mn nanoparticles. As ancient organisms, tree ferns play a crucial role as an evolutionary bridge between lower and higher plant species, providing various utilitarian benefits. However, they face challenges such as overexploitation, climate change, adverse environmental conditions, and insect pests, resulting in conservation concerns. In this study, we provide an overview of metabolic and transcriptomic resources of leaves in two typical tree ferns, A. spinulosa and A. metteniana, and explore the resistance genes for the first time. The landscape of metabolome showed that the compound skimmin may hold medicinal significance. A total of 111 differentially accumulated metabolites (DAMs) were detected, with pathway enrichment analysis highlighting 14 significantly enriched pathways, including 2-oxocarboxylic acid metabolism possibly associated with environmental adaptations. A total of 14,639 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were found, among which 606 were resistance (R) genes. We identified BAM1 as a significantly differentially expressed R gene, which is one of the core genes within the R gene interaction network. Both the maximum-likelihood phylogenetic tree and the PPI network revealed a close relationship between BAM1, FLS2, and TMK. Moreover, BAM1 showed a significant positive correlation with neochlorogenic acid and kaempferol-7-O-glucoside. These metabolites, known for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, likely play a crucial role in the defense response of tree ferns. This research provides valuable insights into the metabolic and transcriptomic differences between A. spinulosa and A. metteniana, enhancing our understanding of resistance genes in tree ferns. Hypoxic microenvironment and glutathione (GSH) accumulation in tumours limit the efficacy of cytotoxic reactive oxygen species (ROS) anti-tumour therapy. To address this challenge, we increased the consumption of GSH and the production of ROS through a novel nanoplatform with the action of inorganic nanoenzymes. In this study, we prepared mesoporous FeS2 using a simple template method, efficiently loaded AIPH, and assembled Ti3C2/FeS2-AIPH@BSA (TFAB) nanocomposites through selfassembly with BSA and 2D Ti3C2. The constructed TFAB nanotherapeutic platform enhanced chemodynamic therapy (CDT) by generating toxic hydroxyl radicals (OH) via FeS2, while consuming GSH to reduce the loss of generated OH via glutathione oxidase-like (GSH-OXD). In addition, TFAB is able to stimulate the decomposition of AIPH under 808 nm laser irradiation to produce oxygenindependent biotoxic alkyl radicals (R) for thermodynamic therapy (TDT). In conclusion, TFAB represents an innovative nanoplatform that effectively addresses the limitations of free radical-based treatment strategies. Through the synergistic therapeutic strategy of photothermal therapy (PTT), CDT, and TDT within the tumor microenvironment, TFAB nanoplatforms achieve controlled AIPH release, ROS generation, intracellular GSH consumption, and precise temperature elevation, resulting in enhanced intracellular oxidative stress, significant apoptotic cell death, and notable tumor growth inhibition. To evaluate the earthquake disaster resistance capability of highway tunnels, it is necessary to study an index system for the earthquake disaster resistance capability of highway tunnels. This paper uses a literature research method. The damage of highway tunnels in 12 earthquake disasters recorded in detail in China and abroad was investigated. According to the types of hazard-beating bodies and damage forms, 17 seismic damage scenes of highway tunnels are classified. According to different damage scenes, the fault tree analysis model is used to identify the damage-causing factors. Combined with the industry standards, norms and research results related to the earthquake resistance of highway tunnels, the evaluation indices are analyzed from three perspectives: engineering geological factors, tunnel structural factors and operation management factors. According to the principle of index system construction, a four-level index system is constructed, which takes the earthquake disaster resistance capability of highway tunnels as the target layer; engineering geological factors, tunnel structural factors and operation management factors as the criterion layer indices; 12 indicators as the index layer and 35 specific indicators. The established index system for the earthquake disaster resistance capability of highway tunnels has strong scientific, rational and application value and can provide a reference for the evaluation of the earthquake disaster resistance capability of highway tunnels and can also provide important support for the safe operation and sustainable development of highway tunnels. Traditional optimal scheduling methods are limited to accurate physical models and parameter settings, which are difficult to adapt to the uncertainty of source and load, and there are problems such as the inability to make dynamic decisions continuously. This paper proposed a dynamic economic scheduling method for distribution networks based on deep reinforcement learning. Firstly, the economic scheduling model of the new energy distribution network is established considering the action characteristics of micro-gas turbines, and the dynamic scheduling model based on deep reinforcement learning is constructed for the new energy distribution network system with a high proportion of new energy, and the Markov decision process of the model is defined. Secondly, Second, for the changing characteristics of source-load uncertainty, agents are trained interactively with the distributed network in a data-driven manner. Then, through the proximal policy optimization algorithm, agents adaptively learn the scheduling strategy and realize the dynamic scheduling decision of the new energy distribution network system. The latest study published in Nature by Andrew R. Burns, Peter J. Roy and co-authors is highlighted in this paper, they investigated a series of novel nematicidal compounds, including Selectivin-A and Selectivin-E, and explored their mechanism of action. Experiments have displayed that the Selectivin compound is inactive to human cells, fish, fungi, insects and even beneficial nematodes. In the exploration of its mechanism of action, it was found that the mechanism of action of Selectivin is different with those of commercial nematocides: Selectivin needs to be activated by biotin produced by nematodes, after that they can be transformed into compounds with high nematicidal activity. This proves that the family of Selectivin compounds has the advantages of high selectivity and environmental friendliness, and their mechanism of action is completely new, proposing a completely new path for the development of new nematicides. Plasmaspheric density structures are considered to control the propagation trajectories of fast magnetosonic (MS) waves in the inner magnetosphere. However, whether the plasmaspheric plume can effectively alter the propagation of MS waves remains unknown. Based on the analytical model of plasma density, ray tracing simulations are performed to investigate the propagation of exactly perpendicular MS waves in the equatorial plane in the magnetosphere containing a plasmaspheric plume. We find that plasmatrough and plume MS waves propagating toward the plasmaspheric plume can be reflected into the plasmaspheric core by the plume, then potentially migrating globally and thus quasi‐trapped inside the plasmaspheric core. The simulations also indicate that lower‐frequency MS waves approaching the plasmaspheric plume are more easily reflected and quasi‐trapped inside the plasmaspheric core. Our findings illustrate a previously unexplored way that plasmatrough MS waves could access and be trapped inside the plasmaspheric core via azimuthal plasmaspheric density structures. Portions of MS waves observed inside the plasmasphere are supposed to come from the propagation of those waves outside the plasmasphere. However, a typical azimuthal plasmaspheric density structure, the plasmaspheric plume, can form in the magnetosphere during the geomagnetic disturbed times. How the plasmaspheric plume affects the propagation of MS waves remains unknown. Based on the ray tracing simulations, we show that MS waves generated outside the plasmapause and inside the plume can be reflected into the plasmaspheric core by the plasmaspheric plume and a few of the reflected waves can migrate globally inside the plasmaspheric core. Our findings provide a new potential way for MS waves to access and be trapped inside the plasmaspheric core. Introduction: Gastric cancer, characterized by high incidence and substantial disease burden, has drawn continuous attention regarding its occurrence and prognosis. Genetics plays a crucial role in influencing the prognosis of gastric cancer, and single nucleotide polymorphisms are closely associated with the occurrence, development, and prognosis of this malignant tumor. Our study aims to conduct survival analysis on patients carrying different single nucleotide polymorphisms, exploring the relationship between miRNA single nucleotide polymorphisms and the prognosis of gastric cancer. Methods: Genetic data from 344 patients in Xianyou, Fujian, formed the basis of our study. We delineated the survival rate and median survival time, utilizing the log-rank test and COX regression analysis as statistical tools. Results: Upon stratifying the data by sex or operation, it was discerned that the GG genotype at MSH2 rs17502941 independently posed a heightened risk for gastric cancer. Other stratification analyses suggested that the subsequent single nucleotide polymorphisms were correlated with patient prognosis: rs17502941, rs884225, rs1468063, rs7143252, and rs2271738. Discussion: The outcomes of this study strongly suggest that miRNA polymorphisms significantly influence the survival time of gastric cancer patients and can serve as effective predictors for the prognosis of gastric cancer. Introduction: Folate supplementation is crucial for the human body, and the chemically synthesized folic acid might have undesirable side effects. The use of molecular breeding methods to modify the genes related to the biosynthesis of folate by probiotics to increase folate production is currently a focus of research. Methods: In this study, the folate-producing strain of Limosilactobacillus reuteri B1-28 was isolated from human breast milk, and the difference between B1-28 and folA gene deletion strain AFolA was investigated by phenotyping, in vitro probiotic evaluation, metabolism and transcriptome analysis. Results: The results showed that the folate producted by the AFolA was 2-3 folds that of the B1-28. Scanning electron microscope showed that AFolA had rougher surface, and the acid-producing capacity (p = 0.0008) and adhesion properties (p = 0.0096) were significantly enhanced than B1-28. Transcriptomic analysis revealed that differentially expressed genes were mainly involved in three pathways, among which the biosynthesis of ribosome and aminoacyl-tRNA occurred in the key metabolic pathways. Metabolomics analysis showed that folA affected 5 metabolic pathways, involving 89 different metabolites. Discussion: In conclusion, the editing of a key gene of folA in folate biosynthesis pathway provides a feasible pathway to improve folate biosynthesis in breast milk-derived probiotics. Seamless integration of microstructures and circuits on three-dimensional (3D) complex surfaces is of significance and is catalyzing the emergence of many innovative 3D curvy electronic devices. However, patterning fine features on arbitrary 3D targets remains challenging. Here, we propose a facile charge-driven electrohydrodynamic 3D microprinting technique that allows micron- and even submicron-scale patterning of functional inks on a couple of 3D-shaped dielectrics via an atmospheric-pressure cold plasma jet. Relying on the transient charging of exposed sites arising from the weakly ionized gas jet, the specified charge is programmably deposited onto the surface as a virtual electrode with spatial and time spans of ~mm in diameter and ~µs in duration to generate a localized electric field accordantly. Therefore, inks with a wide range of viscosities can be directly drawn out from micro-orifices and deposited on both two-dimensional (2D) planar and 3D curved surfaces with a curvature radius down to ~1 mm and even on the inner wall of narrow cavities via localized electrostatic attraction, exhibiting a printing resolution of ~450 nm. In addition, several conformal electronic devices were successfully printed on 3D dielectric objects. Self-aligned 3D microprinting, with stacking layers up to 1400, is also achieved due to the electrified surfaces. This microplasma-induced printing technique exhibits great advantages such as ultrahigh resolution, excellent compatibility of inks and substrates, antigravity droplet dispersion, and omnidirectional printing on 3D freeform surfaces. In this paper, four water–binder ratios (w/b) of 0.29, 0.33, 0.39, and 0.46 were designed. A variable test temperature was implemented in the drying–wetting cycle test according to the temperature fluctuations in the actual service environment, and the constant temperature test was established as the control group. The mechanical properties and chloride corrosion resistance of concrete with different w/b ratios under variable temperature drying–wetting cycles, as well as the microstructure changes, phase composition, and damage mechanism inside the concrete, were investigated. The results showed that the mechanical properties of concrete increased first and then decreased with drying–wetting cycles increasing, whereas the chloride corrosion resistance continued to decline. A higher w/b exacerbated the deterioration of the concrete performance. A higher w/b increased the porosity, chloride diffusion depth, and chloride content, thus reducing the resistance of chloride corrosion. Compared with w/b = 0.29, the compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, mass, and relative dynamic elasticity modulus of w/b = 0.46 exposed to 60 drying–wetting cycles decreased by 54.50%, 52.44%, 0.96%, and 6.50%, respectively, while the porosity, peak chloride content, and erosion depth increased by 45.12%, 70.45%, and 45.00%. Compared with the drying–wetting cycle with a constant temperature, the cumulative damage caused by the drying–wetting cycle with a variable temperature was greater, resulting in more severe deterioration of concrete performance. The increase in the test temperature significantly accelerated the diffusion rate, penetration depth, and chemical binding capacity of chloride ions. After 60 drying–wetting cycles, the peak chlorine content and erosion depth of w/b = 0.46 under variable temperature cycles were 15.38% and 10.32% higher than those under a constant temperature, while the compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, mass, and relative dynamic elastic modulus were reduced by 7.76%, 14.81%, 0.33%, and 2.40%, respectively. Microscopic analysis confirmed that higher w/b and variable temperature cycles accelerated the decay of mechanical properties and the decline of chloride corrosion resistance. According to the numerical fitting analysis, the w/b should be 0.29~0.39 under the condition that the mechanical properties and chloride corrosion resistance of concrete are met. The placenta plays a crucial role in successful mammalian reproduction. Ruminant animals possess a semi-invasive placenta characterized by a highly vascularized structure formed by maternal endometrial caruncles and fetal placental cotyledons, essential for full-term fetal development. The cow placenta harbors at least two trophoblast cell populations: uninucleate (UNC) and binucleate (BNC) cells. However, the limited capacity to elucidate the transcriptomic dynamics of the placental natural environment has resulted in a poor understanding of both the molecular and cellular interactions between trophoblast cells and niches, and the molecular mechanisms governing trophoblast differentiation and functionalization. To fill this knowledge gap, we employed Stereo-seq to map spatial gene expression patterns at near single-cell resolution in the cow placenta at 90 and 130 days of gestation, attaining high-resolution, spatially resolved gene expression profiles. Based on clustering and cell marker gene expression analyses, key transcription factors, including YBX1 and NPAS2, were shown to regulate the heterogeneity of trophoblast cell subpopulations. Cell communication and trajectory analysis provided a framework for understanding cell-cell interactions and the differentiation of trophoblasts into BNCs in the placental microenvironment. Differential analysis of cell trajectories identified a set of genes involved in regulation of trophoblast differentiation. Additionally, spatial modules and co-variant genes that help shape specific tissue structures were identified. Three types of steels were designed on the basis of GX40CrNiSi25-12 austenitic heat resistant steel by adding different Mn contents (2wt.%, 6wt.%, and 12wt.%). Thermodynamic calculation, microstructure characterization and mechanical property tests were conducted to investigate the effect of Mn addition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the austenitic heat resistant steel. Results show that the matrix structure in all the three types of steels at room temperature is completely austenite. Carbides NbC and M23C6 precipitate at grain boundaries of austenite matrix. With the increase of Mn content, the number of carbides increases and their distribution becomes more uniform. With the Mn content increases from 1.99% to 12.06%, the ultimate tensile strength, yield strength and elongation increase by 14.6%, 8.0% and 46.3%, respectively. The improvement of the mechanical properties of austenitic steels can be explained by utilizing classic theories of alloy strengthening, including solid solution strengthening, precipitation strengthening, and grain refinement. The increase in alloy strength can be attributed to solid solution strengthening and precipitation strengthening caused by the addition of Mn. Astaxanthin is a keto-based carotenoid mainly obtained from marine organisms, like Haematococcus pluvialis (H. pluvialis). Previous studies indicated the protective effects of Astaxanthin and H. pluvialis on aging related oxidative injury in liver, while the potential mechanisms are largely unknown. In addition, H. pluvialis residue is a by-product after astaxanthin extraction, which is rarely studied and utilized. The present study aimed to compare the effects of astaxanthin, H. pluvialis and H. pluvialis residue on the oxidant injury of liver in D-galactose-induced aging mice and explore the potential mechanisms through gut-liver axis. The results showed that all the three supplements prevented D-galactose-induced tissue injury, oxidative stress and chronic inflammation in liver and improved liver function. Gut microbiota analysis indicated that astaxanthin notably increased fecal levels of Bacteroidetes, unclassifiedf Lachnospiraceae, norank_f_Lachnospiraceae, norank f norank o Clostridia_UCG-014, Prevotellaceae_ UCG-001, unclassifiedf Prevotellaceae in D-galactose-fed mice (p < 0.05). Compared to aging mice, H. pluvialis group had higher fecal levels of norankf Lachnospiraceae and Lachnospiraceae_UCG-006 (p < 0.05). H. pluvialis residue group displayed higher relative levels of Bacteroidetes, Streptococcus, and Rikenellaceae_RC9_gut_group (p < 0.05). Moreover, the production of fecal microbial metabolites, like SCFAs and LPS was also differently restored by the three supplements. Overall, our results suggest astaxanthin, H. pluvialis and H. pluvialis residue could prevent aging related hepatic injury through gut-liver axis and provide evidence for exploiting of H. pluvialis residue as a functional ingredient for the treatment of liver diseases. Future studies are needed to further clarify the effect and mechanism of dominant components of H. pluvialis residue on liver injury, which is expected to provide a reference for the high-value utilization of H. pluvialis resources. Purpose: Soil contamination and solid waste accumulation pose significant risks to the safety of agricultural produce and residential areas. In China, coal gangue, a typical form of solid waste, is rich in valuable elements like silicon and aluminum, making it an ideal precursor for the synthesis of zeolite molecular sieves. This study focuses on transforming coal gangue into iron-enhanced X-type zeolite (Fe-NaX) molecular sieve and explores its potential in remediating lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) co-contaminated soil. Methods: Fe-NaX was synthesized from coal gangue in Sichuan using an alkaline melting hydrothermal method. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of Fe-NaX in remediation and assess its ecological risk, soil culture and acid rain leaching experiments were conducted. The microstructures of Fe-NaX were detected to explore its remediation mechanism. Results: The optimal Fe-NaX was synthesized at a 110 °C hydrothermal reaction temperature, a 1.5 mass ratio of NaOH and pretreated coal gangue (PCG), a 2.0 Si/Al molar ratio, and a 3.5 M alkalinity. Fe-NaX demonstrated outstanding performance in remediating Pb and Cd contaminated soil, with immobilizing efficiency for high bioavailability fractions of Pb and Cd at 44.4% and 21.9%, respectively. Even under acid rain stress, Fe-NaX was able to decrease the release of Pb and Cd in the soil by 42.3% and 59.6% respectively, with minimal ecological risk. Conclusion: This study, based on a "solid waste for soil-remediation" strategy, transforms coal gangue into Fe-NaX for use in soil remediation and holds great promise for the contaminated soil remediation and coal gangue comprehensive utilization. The effective field theory approach parameterizes the low energy behaviors of all possible ultraviolet (UV) theories in a systematic way. One of the most important tasks is thus to find the connection between the effective operators and their UV origins. The redundancy relations among operators make the connection very subtle, hence we proposed the J-basis prescription to illuminate the correspondence between operators and their UV resonances in the bottom-up way. In this work, we work out the dimension-8 J-basis operators in the standard model effective field theory (SMEFT), and find all the 146 (82) tree-level UV resonances along with their couplings up to mass dimension 5 (4). Furthermore, we point out a few subtleties on operator generation via field redefinition and on the UV Lagrangian for generic spin resonances. Plasmaspheric hiss, a whistler‐mode emission confined in the high‐density plasmasphere, is of great interest to the space community attributed to its important role in inner magnetospheric dynamics. Their frequency‐time structures provide crucial evidence for understanding the wave origin. In this work, based on ∼7‐year Van Allen Probes data, we statistically studied the frequency‐drifting plasmaspheric hiss characterized by an increasing lower cutoff frequency over a timescale exceeding 1 hr. Frequency‐drifting hiss waves predominantly occur at 3 < L < 6 from predawn to noon during geomagnetic active times. Observations and theoretical analyses suggest the frequency‐drifting hiss could result from the local excitation inside the plasmasphere by energy‐dispersive injected electrons. This unique feature of plasmaspheric hiss waves serves, to a certain extent, as an "identifier" for discerning the wave origins and as a "marker" facilitating the link between hiss waves across a broad spatial range. The testosterone undecanoate oil solution is the most widely used injection of testosterone for long-acting effects on the market, whereas the formulation carries the potential risk of causing pulmonary vascular embolism, inflammation, and pain at the injection site. Therefore, a sustained-released long-acting injection of testosterone with strong security is urgently exploited. Herein, a poorly water-soluble testosterone-cholesterol prodrug (TST-Chol) was synthesized by esterification. The water solubility of TST-Chol was decreased by 644 folds in comparison to that of testosterone (TST). Moreover, suspensions of TST and TST-Chol were prepared and analyzed in vitro, utilizing three distinct particle sizes: small-sized nanocrystals (SNCs) measuring 300 nm, medium-sized microcrystals (MMCs) measuring 12 μm, and large-sized microcrystals (LMCs) measuring 20 μm. The findings from the in vitro release study indicated that the sustained release of the drug was significantly influenced by the solubility and particle sizes of the suspension. Notably, the suspensions with low water solubility and larger particle sizes exhibited a more desirable sustained-release effect in vitro. Furthermore, the study on pharmacokinetics exhibited that TST-Chol SNCs produced a sustained TST plasma concentration in vivo for up to 40 days and no obvious pathological changes in lung tissue were found. Our study indicated that solubility and particle sizes of suspensions had made a difference in pharmacokinetics and provided a valuable reference for the advancement of long-acting injections. Background: Parkinson's disease (PD) is a prevalent neurodegenerative disorder that significantly benefits from early diagnosis for effective disease management and intervention. Despite advancements in medical technology, there remains a critical gap in the early and non-invasive detection of PD. Current diagnostic methods are often invasive, expensive, or late in identifying the disease, leading to missed opportunities for early intervention. Objective: The goal of this study is to explore the efficiency and accuracy of combining fNIRS technology with machine learning algorithms in diagnosing early-stage PD patients and to evaluate the feasibility of this approach in clinical practice. Methods: Using an ETG-4000 type near-infrared brain function imaging instrument, data was collected from 120 PD patients and 60 healthy controls. This cross-sectional study employed a multi-channel mode to monitor cerebral blood oxygen changes. The collected data were processed using a general linear model and β values were extracted. Subsequently, four types of machine learning models were developed for analysis: Support vector machine (SVM), K-nearest neighbors (K-NN), random forest (RF), and logistic regression (LR). Additionally, SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) technology was applied to enhance model interpretability. Results: The SVM model demonstrated higher accuracy in differentiating between PD patients and control group (accuracy of 85%, f1 score of 0.85, and an area under the ROC curve of 0.95). SHAP analysis identified the four most contributory channels (CH) as CH01, CH04, CH05, and CH08. Conclusion: The model based on the SVM algorithm exhibited good diagnostic performance in the early detection of PD patients. In our previous study, two peptides with favorable anti-inflammatory effects, Asp-GlnThr-Phe (DQTF) and Gly-Tyr-Thr-Arg (GYTR), were screened from Ruditapes philippinarum using an in vitro–in silico strategy. The present study aims to investigate the ameliorative effect of Ruditapes philippinarum peptides (RPPs) on acute inflammation and clarify the potential mechanism through in vitro and in vivo experiments. The anti-inflammatory effects of DQTF and GYTR were verified with a lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced RAW264.7 cell acute inflammation model and the antiinflammatory effect of the enzymatic hydrolysates of Ruditapes philippinarum was explored in vivo using an LPS-induced acute inflammatory injury model in mice. The results show that DQTF and GYTR improved the morphology of LPS-injured cells and decreased the concentrations of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and interleukin (IL)-6 in LPS-induced cells. Moreover, the antioxidant enzyme activity in cells was markedly increased with DQTF and GYTR. The enzymatic hydrolysates of Ruditapes philippinarum were obtained with hydrolysis using pepsin–chymotrypsin–trypsin (PeCTHC) and pepsin–trypsin (PeTHC), respectively. PeCTHC and PeTHC significantly reduced pro-inflammatory cytokines and nitric oxide (NO) in the serum. Additionally, the blood indices and levels of superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX), and malondialdehyde (MDA) in the livers of mice were markedly improved with RPPs administration. Basal progenitor cells serve as a stem cell pool to maintain the homeostasis of the epithelium of the foregut, including the esophagus and the forestomach. Aberrant genetic regulation in these cells can lead to carcinogenesis, such as squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). However, the underlying molecular mechanisms regulating the function of basal progenitor cells remain largely unknown. Here, we use mouse models to reveal that Hippo signaling is required for maintaining the homeostasis of the foregut epithelium and cooperates with p53 to repress the initiation of foregut SCC. Deletion of Mst1/2 in mice leads to epithelial overgrowth in both the esophagus and forestomach. Further molecular studies find that Mst1/2-deficiency promotes epithelial growth by enhancing basal cell proliferation in a Yes-associated protein (Yap)-dependent manner. Moreover, Mst1/2 deficiency accelerates the onset of foregut SCC in a carcinogen-induced foregut SCC mouse model, depending on Yap. Significantly, a combined deletion of Mst1/2 and p53 in basal progenitor cells sufficiently drives the initiation of foregut SCC. Therefore, our studies shed light on the collaborative role of Hippo signaling and p53 in maintaining squamous epithelial homeostasis while suppressing malignant transformation of basal stem cells within the foregut. Objective: Inflammation is recognized as a contributor in the development of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), and the recruitment and functional capacity of immune cells are well-orchestrated by chemokines and their receptors. This study is aimed at identification of critical chemokines in the progression of PAH via transcriptomic analysis. Methods: Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) from lungs of PAH patients were achieved compared to controls based on Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) was applied for functional annotation and pathway enrichement. The abundance of immune cells was estimated by the xCell algorithm. Weighted correlation network analysis (WGCNA) was used to construct a gene expression network, based on which a diagnostic model was generated to determine its accuracy to distinguish PAH from control subjects. Target genes were then validated in lung of hypoxiainduce pulmonary hypertension (PH) mouse model. Results: ACKR4 (atypical chemokine receptor 4) was downregulated in PAH lung tissues in multiple datasets. PAH relevant biological functions and pathways were enriched in patients with low-ACKR4 level according to GSEA enrichment analysis. Immuno-infiltration analysis revealed a negative correlation of activated dendritic cells, Th1 and macrophage infiltration with ACKR4 expression. Three gene modules were associated with PAH via WGCNA analysis, and a model for PAH diagnosis was generated using CXCL12, COL18A1 and TSHZ2, all of which correlated with ACKR4. The ACKR4 expression was also downregulated in lung tissues of our experimental PH mice compared to that of controls. Conclusions: The reduction of ACKR4 in lung tissues of human PAH based on transcriptomic data is consistent with the alteration observed in our rodent PH. Fermented dairy foods such as yogurt exhibit some beneficial effects on consumers, including relieving the symptoms of hypertension. This study aims to obtain fermented dairy products from a co-starter that have a great flavor and the auxiliary function of reducing blood pressure after longtime consumption. Commercial starter cultures composed of Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus CICC 6047 and Streptococcus thermophilus CICC 6038 were combined with Lactobacillus plantarum strains Y44, Y12, and Y16, respectively, as a combined starter culture to ferment the mixed milk of skim milk and soybean milk. The fermented milk produced using the combined starter culture mixed with L. plantarum Y44 showed an angiotensin-converting-enzyme (ACE) inhibitory activity (53.56 ± 0.69%). Some peptides that regulate blood pressure were released in the fermented milk, such as AMKPWIQPK, GPVRGPFPII, LNVPGEIVE, NIPPLTQTPV, and YQEPVL. In spontaneously hypertensive rat (SHR) oral-administration experiments compared with the gavage unfermented milk group, the gavage feeding of SHRs with the fermented milk produced using the combined starter culture mixed with L. plantarum Y44 significantly reduced the blood pressure of the SHRs after long-term intragastric administration, shown with the systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) decreasing by 23.67 ± 2.49 mmHg and 15.22 ± 2.62 mmHg, respectively. Moreover, the abundance of short-chain fatty acids (SCFA), bacterial diversity in the gut microbiota, and SCFA levels including acetic acid, propionic acid, and butyric acid in the feces of the SHRs were increased via oral administration of the fermented milk produced using the combined starter culture containing L. plantarum Y44. Furthermore, the ACE-angiotensin II (Ang II)-angiotensin type 1 (AT 1) axis was downregulated, the angiotensin-converting-enzyme 2 (ACE 2)-angiotensin(1-7) (Ang1-7)-Mas receptor axis of the SHRs was upregulated, and then the RAS signal was rebalanced. Since the performance of the spectral moment estimation algorithm commonly used in engineering degrades under the conditions of low SNR, this paper introduces the Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) to the spectral moment estimation of weather signals based on the correlation of the signals of adjacent range cells. To solve the problem that the hidden layer nodes of ELM algorithm are difficult to be determined, the Bidirectional Extreme Learning Machine (B-ELM) algorithm is applied to achieve the high resolution of spectral moments. Firstly, to improve the SNR of the training samples, time-domain pulse signals are converted into weather power spectrum by Welch method. Then, the parameters of the B-ELM hidden layer nodes are directly calculated by backpropagation of network residuals. The model parameters are optimized according to the least-squares solution, where the optimal number of hidden layer nodes is determined adaptively. Finally, the optimized B-ELM model is employed for the spectral moment estimation of weather signals. In this paper, we consider a second-order approximation scheme for the space fractional advection–diffusion equations with variable coefficients. This scheme employs the weighted and shifted Grünwald difference formulas to approximate the Riemann–Liouville fractional derivatives and the Crank–Nicolson scheme for the temporal derivative, respectively. The stability and convergence of this approximation scheme are analyzed under certain conditions satisfied by the coefficients. This numerical scheme results in a sequence of nonsymmetric Toeplitz-like linear systems whose coefficient matrix can be written as a sum of an identity matrix and four diagonal-times-Toeplitz matrices. To improve the computational efficiency of the Krylov subspace iteration methods used to solve the scheme, we develop an approximate inverse preconditioner. This preconditioner is based on the inverse of the weighted R. Chan's circulant matrix and the interpolation method. We also demonstrate that the preconditioned matrix can be written as a sum of an identity matrix, a low-rank matrix, and a small-norm matrix, resulting in a clustered spectrum around one. Fundamental research on single-particle breaking and the uniaxial compressive strength (UCS) of carbonaceous mudstone aggregates at different water contents was carried out to investigate the relationship between the single-particle crushing strength and UCS. Based on elasticity theory and the superposition principle, a shape factor α was introduced to propose a mechanical model of crushing strength that considers the effect of particle shape, and a model was developed to predict the UCS of soil–rock aggregates (SRAs) from the single-particle crushing strength. The test conditions were set to a dry state and a water content of 6–10% according to the water content test results for carbonaceous mudstones with different dimensions. The experimental results reveal that the shape factor α of particles ranges from 0.44 to 1.0 when the crushing strength model is applied considering shape effects. As the water content increases, the crushing strength of the carbonaceous mudstone decreases linearly, the effect of the dimension is significant, and the crushing strength decreases by 7.4% in the dry state and by 41.02% at a water content of 10%. The UCS model considering the single-particle crushing strength accurately reflects the variation of the UCS with the volume block proportion (VBP) and provides a new approach for predicting the UCS. Background: Studies have shown that chronic exposure to job stress may increase the risk of sleep disturbances and that hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis gene polymorphisms may play an important role in the psychopathologic mechanisms of sleep disturbances. However, the interactions among job stress, gene polymorphisms and sleep disturbances have not been examined from the perspective of the HPA axis. This study aimed to know whether job stress is a risk factor for sleep disturbances and to further explore the effect of the HPA axis gene × job stress interaction on sleep disturbances among railway workers. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 671 participants (363 males and 308 females) from the China Railway Fuzhou Branch were included. Sleep disturbances were evaluated with the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and job stress was measured with the Effort-Reward Imbalance scale (ERI). Generalized multivariate dimensionality reduction (GMDR) models were used to assess gene-environment interactions. Results: We found a significant positive correlation between job stress and sleep disturbances (P < 0.01). The FKBP5 rs1360780-T and rs4713916-A alleles and the CRHR1 rs110402-G allele were associated with increased sleep disturbance risk, with adjusted ORs (95% CIs) of 1.75 [1.38-2.22], 1.68 [1.30-2.18] and 1.43 [1.09-1.87], respectively. However, the FKBP5 rs9470080-T allele was a protective factor against sleep disturbances, with an OR (95% CI) of 0.65 [0.51-0.83]. GMDR analysis indicated that under job stress, individuals with the FKBP5 rs1368780-CT, rs4713916-GG, and rs9470080-CT genotypes and the CRHR1 rs110402-AA genotype had the greatest risk of sleep disturbances. Conclusions: Individuals carrying risk alleles who experience job stress may be at increased risk of sleep disturbances. Pooled steganalysis aims to discover the guilty actor(s) among multiple normal actor(s). Existing techniques mainly rely on the high-dimension and time-consuming features. Moreover, the minor feature distance between cover and stego is detrimental to pooled steganalysis. To overcome these issues, this paper focuses on the discrepancy of the statistical characteristics of transmitted multiple images and designs a model-based effective pooled steganalysis strategy. Facing the public and monitored channel, without using the feature extractions, pooled steganalysis collects a set of images transmitted by a suspicious actor and use the corresponding distortion values as the statistic representation of the selected image set. Specifically, the normalized distortion of the suspicious image set generated via normal/guilty actor(s) is modelled as a normal distribution, and we apply maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) to estimate the parameter (cluster center) of the distribution by which we can represent the defined model. Considering the tremendous distortion difference between normal and stego image sets, we can deduce that the constructed model can effectively discover and reveal the existence of abnormal behavior of guilty actors. To show the discrepancy of different models, employing the logistic function and likelihood ratio test (LRT), we construct a new detector by which the ratio of cluster centers is turned into a probability. Depending on the generated probability and an optimal threshold, we make a judgment on whether the dubious actor is normal or guilty. Extensive experiments demonstrate that, compared to existing pooled steganalysis techniques, the proposed scheme exhibits great detection performance on the guilty actor(s) with lower complexity. High-temperature hazards of asphalt pavement and pollution from car exhaust are two major problems that need to be solved in road construction. In this paper, a multifunctional composite coating has been prepared from the perspective of reducing road temperature and car exhaust degradation. The principle of heat-reflecting coating is used to reduce the road surface temperature. At the same time, the TiO2 aqueous solution with photocatalytic degradation effect is added to the heat-reflective coating material to achieve the purpose of degrading automobile exhaust degradation, creating a new type of multifunctional coating that has both cooling and exhaust degradation effects. In addition, by changing the amount of carbon black, a multi-functional coating with the best coloring is selected, so that it has better functionality and has the most suitable shade for the road surface. Finally, the cooling effect and the exhaust gas reduction effect are examined through indoor and outdoor tests and the slip resistance of the coating is tested using the pendulum method. The results show that the functional coating group has a certain ability of cooling and exhaust gas degradation compared to the normal control group without coating. For the functional coating group with different carbon black content, the functional coating (G2) with 0.9% carbon black content has the strongest overall functionality. The cooling and exhaust gas reduction effects proved to be the best. The surface cooling rate is 5.4°C, while the internal cooling rate is 4.3°C. The cumulative degradation efficiency of CO and NO is found to be 27.77%, and 73.75%, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
