Over the past few years, many experimental investigations on the model of project-based learning (PjBL) have affected the mathematical capacity of pupils to solve issues. However, neither the second nor the literature review analysed the combined results of this research. This meta-analysis is aimed at examining and describing the PjBL model's effectiveness in improved student solving mathematical issues in Indonesia. Twelve studies were analysed 2014 to 2021 using Comprehensive Meta Analysis software. The effectiveness of the PjBL model was found to be 1.284 times greater than that of conventional learning models in terms of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. Additional analysis in the form of study characteristics obtained to bolster the study's findings indicates significant differences at the level of education and publication sources. The application of the PjBL model efficient for mathematical problem-solving abilities when mathematics teachers apply to learn to secondary school students. In addition, researchers should publish their research in the form of articles in reputable journals to improve the quality of their research, the decline in the number of publications over the past three years has allowed many academics to conduct research, the most effective and recommended research sampling technique is the random sampling technique. Providing scientific evidences for the medicinal benefits and possible toxic effects of the flamboyant (Delonix regia (Bojer ex Hook.) Raf.) flowers is very important to implementing the medicinal plant in this modern era. This study aimed to investigate antidiabetic potential of methanol extract of flamboyant flowers using a completely random design. Twenty-four male rats were randomly divided into 6 treatment groups with 4 replications: healthy rats (normal control, P1), diabetic rats treated with flamboyant flower extract of 0 (negative control, P2), 100 (P3), 200 (P4), and 400 mg/kg BW (P5), and rats which were induced by 0.45 mg/kg BW of Glibenclamide (positive control, P6). Diabetic condition was achieved by a single injection of alloxan 150 mg/kg BW. Treatments were given once a day for 14 days. On day 0, 3 and 18 blood samples were withdrawn from rats' orbital vein for glucose measurement. All rats were sacrificed for liver, gastrocnemius muscles and pancreatic tissues collection. The liver and gastrocnemius muscle were subjected for glycogen measurement whereas pancreatic tissues were processed for histological examinations. Data was analyzed by ANOVA and followed by Duncan test. The results showed that flamboyant flowers extracts significantly (p<0.05) reduced blood glucose as well as degeneration and necrosis of pancreatic β cells. Optimal dose to decrease blood glucose and pancreatic cell degeneration was 200 mg/kg BW; whereas optimum dose to decrease pancreatic cell necrosis was 400 mg/kg BW. In conclusion, flamboyant flower extract can reduce blood glucose in rats. This is the first that shows antidiabetic potential of local flamboyant flower extracts along its toxicity effect to pancreatic tissues. These informations could become a basic consideration for the use of the plant extracts as a candidate to cure patients with diabetic problems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

XANTHINE oxidase ,HEXANE ,FLAVONOIDS ,SUGAR ,FRUIT ,ANNONA ,CHLOROFORM ,ETHANOL - Abstract
Nowadays gout is still a problem, both nationally and globally. The most widely used commercial drug to treat gout is allopurinol, which act as xanthin oxidase inhibitor, thus inhibiting uric acid synthesis. However, the use of allopurinol in a relatively long time can cause various unwanted side effects. Previous studies have shown that ethanol extract of sugar apple, which is rich flavonoids can inhibit the xanthine oxidase enzyme, but the structure of flavonoid in this fruit is still unknown yet. The aims of this study are to obtain ethanol extracts from the flesh of sugar apple, purify the extract by partitioning techniques using n-hexane and chloroform solvents, test inhibitory activity against xanthine oxidase and identify the flavonoid content using LC-MS/MS analysis. The results have shown that from 800 g the fruit flesh can be obtained 106 g of concentrated ethanol extract. After purification by partitioning using hexane and chloroform purified ethanol extract ed contained flavonoids, with TPC value of 16.11 ± 0.72 (mgGAE/g) and TFC value of 36.79 ± 2.96 (mgQE/g), in the same volume (0.01 mL) has xanthine oxidase inhibitory power by 75.17% compared to 1 mL of allopurinol 100 ppm and one of the dominant flavonoid compound contained was 3',4',7-trimethoxyflavan. Purpose The purpose of this paper is to assess nutrients elasticities of calories, proteins, fats, and carbohydrates in Indonesia.Design/methodology/approach Quadratic Almost Ideal Demand System is used on Indonesian socioeconomic household survey data.Findings Expenditure elasticities of nutrients in overall model range from 0.707 (for carbohydrates) to 1.085 (for fats), but expenditure elasticities in rural areas are higher than those in urban area. Most of price elasticities of nutrients have very small absolute value (not elastic) and all values are lower than the expenditure elasticities. However, the price of five groups of food commodities, namely, rice, oil and grease, fishes, meat, and other foods give significant influence on nutrients consumption.Research limitations/implications This research only includes four micronutrients, namely, calorie, protein, fat, and carbohydrate.Originality/value This research is one of very limited literatures about nutrient elasticity of food consumption in Indonesia.
