5. Interannual Variation of Summer Compound Hot and Drought Events in Xinjiang and Its Relationship with the North Atlantic Sea Surface Temperature.

- Abstract
Xinjiang suffers compound hot and drought events under global warming. However, less attention has been paid to physical mechanisms of the variability of compound hot and drought events in this region. This article investigates the interannual variation of summer (June–August) compound hot and drought events in Xinjiang and its relationship with the sea surface temperature (SST) over the North Atlantic. The results show that its first empirical orthogonal function (EOF) mode features a spatially homogenous pattern. This mode is closely connected with the simultaneous meridional negative–positive–negative SST anomalies over the North Atlantic. The summer North Atlantic tripole SST anomalies can trigger a remarkable wave train extending from the North Atlantic to Eurasia, consequently inducing an anomalous high pressure system over the Iran–Pamir Plateau, which is conducive to the increase in air temperature from the surface to the upper troposphere over Xinjiang. The warmer troposphere further strengthens the western Asian subtropical meridional temperature gradient and thereby enhances the westerly wind to the north flank of the West Asian subtropical westerly jet (WASWJ). As a result, the WASWJ is displaced northward, which intensifies the sinking motion and prevents the water vapor transport to Xinjiang, leading to a decrease in precipitation in the target region. The higher temperature and less precipitation contribute to the occurrence of compound hot and drought events over Xinjiang. Numerical simulations based on the Community Atmosphere Model, version 4 (CAM4), further confirm the relationship between the North Atlantic tripole SST anomalies and compound hot and drought events in Xinjiang during summer on the interannual time scale. Significance Statement: Xinjiang, located in northwest China, suffers from frequent and intense compound hot and drought events in recent decades. It is thus urgent to understand the physical mechanisms associated with its occurrence in order for disaster prevention and mitigation. In this study, we reveal that the leading mode of summer compound hot and drought events over Xinjiang, featuring a spatially homogenous pattern, is closely correlated with the simultaneous meridional negative–positive–negative SST anomalies over the North Atlantic. The North Atlantic tripole SST anomalies can lead to an anomalous high pressure system over the Iran–Pamir Plateau and a northward shift of the West Asian subtropical westerly jet through exciting a wave train propagating from the North Atlantic to Eurasia, which consequently contributes to the occurrence of compound hot and drought events over Xinjiang. 6. Experimental modal analysis of the seated human body during whole-body vibration: Effect of vibration direction and magnitude.

In this paper, modal properties of the seated human body were identified from measured transmissibilities to the head, chest, lumbar spine L3, pelvis, hips and thighs with single-axis translational vibration; how they were affected by vibration direction and magnitude was quantitatively compared for the first time. To this end, eight subjects were exposed to fore-aft, lateral and vertical single-axis vibrations with three magnitudes at 0.4, 0.8 and 1.2 m/s
2 r.m.s., respectively. Three and five vibration modes were identified with fore-aft vibration and with vertical vibration in the sagittal plane, respectively, while three modes identified with lateral vibration were in the coronal plane. As the vibration magnitude increased from 0.4 to 1.2 m/s2 r.m.s., the modal frequencies of the modes at 1.2, 2.2, 2.9 and 6.2 Hz, which contained the pitch, lateral movements, fore-aft movements and vertical movements of the upper body, respectively, were reduced to 1.0, 1.8, 2.3 and 5.8 Hz significantly, and the damping ratios of the modes identified at 0.8, 5.2 and 10.9 Hz were changed. Powder metallurgy (PM) brake pads pair with carbon fiber-reinforced silicon carbide (C/C-SiC) brake disk have been considered as one of the potential candidates for high-speed train applications. In this work, the braking test for iron-based PM (Fe-PM) pads paired with C/C-SiC brake disk at high speeds was conducted on a full-scale flywheel braking dynamometer. With the increasing of initial brake speed (IBS) to 380 km/h, the mean coefficient of friction (µ
m ) gradually decreased, while the wear rate (Wr ) of pad got significant increased. The wear pattern of the Fe-PM pad transitioned from abrasive and adhesive wear to oxidative wear with the increasing of IBS, explaining the variations in µm and Wr . Throughout the braking process, wear debris from Fe-PM pad tended to accumulate, forming a dense transfer film (TF) on the C/C-SiC disk. This TF cracked and peeled off due to thermal stress during the braking process. However, analysis of the interior side of the TF revealed that the peeling only caused slight exfoliation of carbon fibers on the surface of the C/C-SiC disk. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

8. Characteristics and Comparative Analysis of Mitochondrial Genomes of the Aphid Genus Hyalopterus Koch (Hemiptera: Aphididae: Aphidinae).

Simple Summary: Hyalopterus aphids pose a significant threat to stone fruit trees in the genus Prunus and are distributed worldwide. In this study, we generated and compared the mitochondrial genomes of three constituent species of Hyalopterus. The repeat region located between trnE and trnF exists but differs among the three species, and the repeat unit shows variation among different geographic populations within the widely distributed Hyalopterus arundiniformis. The phylogenetic trees based on complete mitochondrial genomes supported the monophyly of Hyalopterus, with H. arundiniformis placed at the basal position. Our study enriches the mitochondrial genomic library of Aphidinae and suggests the potential utility of repeat regions in intraspecific aphid diversification studies. Using Illumina sequencing technology, we generated complete mitochondrial genomes (mitogenomes) of three constituent species of the aphid genus Hyalopterus Koch, Hyalopterus amygdali (Blanchard), Hyalopterus arundiniformis Ghulamullah, and Hyalopterus pruni (Geoffroy). The sizes of the Hyalopterus mitogenomes range from 15,306 to 15,410 bp, primarily due to variations in the length of non-coding regions. The Hyalopterus mitogenomes consist of 37 coding genes arranged in the order of the ancestral insect mitogenome, a control region, and a repeat region between trnE and trnF. According to the COI-based analysis, one previously reported mitogenome of H. pruni should be assigned to H. arundiniformis. The gene order, nucleotide composition, and codon usage in the Hyalopterus mitogenomes are highly conserved and similar to those of other species of Aphidinae. The tandem repeat units differ in nucleotide composition, length, and copy number across three Hyalopterus species. Within the widespread Eurasian species H. arundiniformis, variation in repeat units among different geographic populations is observed, indicating that the repeat region may provide valuable insights for studying the intraspecific diversification of aphids. Phylogenetic analyses based on 28 complete mitogenomes of Aphidinae supported the monophyly of Aphidinae, Aphidini, Macrosiphini, and two subtribes of Aphidini. Hyalopterus was monophyletic. H. amygdali and H. pruni formed a sister group, while H. arundiniformis was placed basally. Characterization of the mitogenomes of Hyalopterus provides valuable resources for further comparative studies and for advancing our understanding of the aphid mitogenome architecture. Seat transmissibility is associated with both seating dynamics and biodynamics. The aim of this experiment was to investigate how seat transmissibilities are affected by the horizontal excitation variations as well as the presence of the vertical excitation. Twelve participants were evaluated for the seat transmissibilities during the horizontal random excitation at three amplitudes with and without additional vertical excitation. The primary resonant frequencies of the vertical cross-axis and horizontal in-line seat transmissibilities reduced with an increase in the horizontal excitation. The seat transmissibility acquired from single-axis excitation exhibited the same resonant behaviour as those obtained from dual-axis excitation. The nonlinearity of the seat transmissibility with dual-axis excitation suggests coupled modes are induced by the cross-axis effect. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

11. Braking Performance of Fe-Based and Cu-Based Powder Metallurgy Pads Paired with C/C-SiC Disk on Full-Scale Dynamometer.

In this study, the friction performance of copper-based (Cu-PM) and iron-based (Fe-PM) powder metallurgy pads was systematically compared and analyzed by performing a braking test paired with a C/C-SiC disk on a full-scale flywheel brake dynamometer, including coefficient of friction (COF), wear rate (Wr), and worn surface under dry and wet tests. The test procedure simulated the braking conditions on high-speed trains with initial brake speeds (IBS) from 50 km/h to 200 km/h, as well as under various brake clamping forces (F
B ). During dry tests, both pads exhibited high levels of COF. The mean value of average COF (µm ) for the Cu-PM pad was 0.371, which was slightly higher than that of 0.358 from the Fe-PM pad. The stability of µm over the IBS ranged from 68% to 82% for Cu-PM pads under different FB , while it was from 82% to 85% for Fe-PM pads. However, during the wet tests, the mean value of µm dropped to 0.207 for Cu-PM pads, and with the minimum µm of 0.062; whereas, they were 0.344 and 0.188 for Fe-PM pads, respectively, showing a significant difference in the friction performance between the two pads. Additionally, the Wr of the Cu-PM pad was 0.110 cm3 /MJ during dry tests, which was 17.3% lower than that of 0.133 cm3 /MJ observed for the Fe-PM pad. After the brake test with the Cu-PM pad, the friction film primarily covered the Si/SiC-rich region of the disk, effectively inhibiting the plowing of SiC hard asperities onto the pad surface. However, the friction film predominantly covered the fiber-rich region of the disk after the test with the Fe-PM pad, and the exposure of hard Si/SiC-rich asperities would continuously plow the pad during braking and resulted in furrows on the surface of the Fe-PM pad. In terms of wear mechanisms, adhesion wear was the primary mechanism on the contact surfaces of the Cu-PM pad and the C/C-SiC disk, while abrasion dominated the interaction between the Fe-PM pad and the C/C-SiC disk. With the transformation and upgrading of industries, the environmental problems caused by industrial residual contaminated sites are becoming increasingly prominent. Based on actual investigation cases, this study analyzed the soil pollution status of a remaining sites of the copper and zinc rolling industry, and found that the pollutants exceeding the screening values included Cu, Ni, Zn, Pb, total petroleum hydrocarbons and 6 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon monomers. Based on traditional analysis methods such as the correlation coefficient and spatial distribution, combined with machine learning methods such as SOM + K-means, it is inferred that the heavy metal Zn/Pb may be mainly related to the production history of zinc rolling. Cu/Ni may be mainly originated from the production history of copper rolling. PAHs are mainly due to the incomplete combustion of fossil fuels in the melting equipment. TPH pollution is speculated to be related to oil leakage during the industrial use period and later period of vehicle parking. The results showed that traditional analysis methods can quickly identify the correlation between site pollutants, while SOM + K-means machine learning methods can further effectively extract complex hidden relationships in data and achieve in-depth mining of site monitoring data. Malignant tumours pose significant challenges in terms of high morbidity and mortality rates, primarily due to the lack of large‐scale applicable screening methods and efficient treatment strategies. However, the development of liquid biopsies, particularly circulating cell‐free DNA (cfDNA), offers promising solutions characterised by their non‐invasiveness and cost‐effectiveness, providing comprehensive tumour information on a global scale. The release of cfDNA is predominantly associated with cell death and turnover, while its elimination occurs through nuclease digestion, renal excretion into the urine and uptake by the liver and spleen. Extensive research into the biological properties of cfDNA has led to the identification of novel applications, including non‐invasive cancer screening, cancer subtype classification, tissue‐of‐origin detection and monitoring of treatment efficacy. Additionally, emerging fields such as methylation‐omics, fragment‐omics and nucleosome‐omics show immense potential as tissue‐ and disease‐specific markers. Therefore, this review aims to comprehensively introduce the latest detection techniques of cfDNA, along with detailed information on its characteristics and applications, providing valuable insights for cancer diagnosis and monitoring, which will assist us in purposefully enhancing relevant features for a more comprehensive application in clinical practice. The traditional Chinese herbal prescription Buyang Huanwu decoction (BHD), effectively treats atherosclerosis. However, the mechanism of BHD in atherosclerosis remains unclear. We aimed to determine whether BHD could alleviate atherosclerosis by altering the microbiome-associated metabolic changes in atherosclerotic mice. An atherosclerotic model was established in apolipoprotein E-deficient mice fed high-fat diet, and BHD was administered through gavage for 12 weeks at 8.4 g/kg/d and 16.8 g/kg/d. The atherosclerotic plaque size, composition, serum lipid profile, and inflammatory cytokines, were assessed. Mechanistically, metabolomic and microbiota profiles were analyzed by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and 16S rRNA gene sequencing, respectively. Furthermore, intestinal microbiota and atherosclerosis-related metabolic parameters were correlated using Spearman analysis. Atherosclerotic mice treated with BHD exhibited reduced plaque area, aortic lumen occlusion, and lipid accumulation in the aortic root. Nine perturbed serum metabolites were significantly restored along with the relative abundance of microbiota at the family and genus levels but not at the phylum level. Gut microbiome improvement was strongly negatively correlated with improved metabolite levels. BHD treatment effectively slows the progression of atherosclerosis by regulating altered intestinal microbiota and perturbed metabolites. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori, Hp) has been designated a class I carcinogen and is closely associated with severe gastric diseases. During colonization in the gastric mucosa, H. pylori develops immune escape by inducing host immune tolerance. The gastric epithelium acts as the first line of defense against H. pylori, with Toll-like receptors (TLRs) in gastric epithelial cells being sensitive to H. pylori components and subsequently activating the innate immune system. However, the mechanism of immune tolerance induced by H. pylori through the TLR signalling pathway has not been fully elucidated. In this research, we detected the expression of TLRs and inflammatory cytokines in GES-1 cells upon sustained exposure to H. pylori or H. pylori lysate from 1 to 30 generations and in Mongolian gerbils infected with H. pylori for 5 to 90 weeks. We found that the levels of TLR6 and inflammatory cytokines first increased and then dropped during the course of H. pylori treatment in vitro and in vivo. The restoration of TLR6 potentiated the expression of IL-1β and IL-8 in GES-1 cells, which recruited neutrophils and reduced the colonization of H. pylori in the gastric mucosa of gerbils. Mechanistically, we found that persistent infection with H. pylori reduces the sensitivity of TLR6 to bacterial components and regulates the expression of inflammatory cytokines in GES-1 cells through TLR6/JNK signaling. The TLR6 agonist obviously alleviated inflammation in vitro and in vivo. Promising results suggest that TLR6 may be a potential candidate immunotherapy drug for H. pylori infection. Quantum science and computing represent a vital intersection between science and technology, gaining increasing importance in modern society. There is a pressing need to incorporate these concepts into the K-12 curriculum, equipping new generations with the tools to navigate and thrive in an evolving technological landscape. This study explores the professional learning of K-12 teachers (n = 49) related to quantum concepts and pedagogy. We used open-ended surveys, field notes, workshop artifacts, and interviews to examine teachers' perceptions of quantum and how they made connections between quantum and their curriculum. Our data reveal that most teachers were excited and interested in teaching quantum but were aware of potential barriers and concerns that might get in the way of teaching quantum. We found that teachers readily identified connections to math and science in their curriculum, but only a few made connections to computing. Enthusiasm for teaching quantum concepts was found in both elementary and secondary educators, suggesting a widespread recognition of its importance in preparing students for a future where quantum technology is a fundamental aspect of their lives and careers. 17. Association between Serum Klotho and All-Cause Mortality in Chronic Kidney Disease: Evidence from a Prospective Cohort Study.

Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between circulating soluble Klotho concentration and all-cause mortality in individuals with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Methods: We conducted a prospective cohort study involving 2,456 participants with CKD from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) cycles spanning from 2007 to 2016. Complex sampling-weighted multivariate Cox proportional hazards models were used to estimate the association between serum Klotho level and all-cause mortality, presenting hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Additionally, a restricted cubic spline analysis was performed to explore potential nonlinear associations. Results: During a median of 82 months of follow-up, 550 (22.40%) all-cause deaths were recorded. The median serum Klotho concentration was 760 pg/mL (interquartile ranges, 624, 958). After adjusting for potential covariates, the risk of all-cause mortality decreased by 4% for every 100 pg/mL increase in Klotho (HR = 0.96, 95% CI, 0.92, 0.99). The HR for the fourth quartile of Klotho compared to the first quartile was 0.73 (95% CI, 0.56, 0.96). The restricted cubic spline model revealed a distinctive "L"-shaped association between serum Klotho and all-cause mortality among patients with CKD, with a Klotho concentration of 760 pg/mL at the inflection point. When Klotho concentration was less than 760 pg/mL, a significant negative correlation between Klotho and all-cause mortality was observed (HR per 100 pg/mL increase in Klotho = 0.86, 95% CI, 0.78, 0.95). Conclusion: This study documented a distinctive "L"-shaped association between serum Klotho levels and all-cause mortality among individuals with CKD. We studied information from over 2,400 CKD patients. We followed them for almost 7 years to see what happened. We found that people with higher Klotho levels in their blood tend to live longer. It is like a good sign for their health. But we also discovered something interesting. The relationship between Klotho and survival is not simple. It is shaped like the letter "L." Up to a certain point, higher Klotho levels mean a better chance of living longer. But after a certain level, having even more Klotho does not seem to make a difference. So, it is not just about having lots of Klotho; but about having the right amount. Our study helps us understand Klotho better and its connection to CKD. Knowing more about Klotho could help doctors find new ways to help people with CKD live longer and healthier lives. In plain words, having enough Klotho in your blood might be good for your health if you have CKD. But having too much does not seem to help any more than having just enough. The distributed architecture of cloud computing necessitates robust defense mechanisms to secure network-accessible resources against a diverse and dynamic threat landscape. A Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS) is pivotal in this context, with its efficacy in cloud environments hinging on its adaptability to evolving threat vectors while mitigating false positives. In this paper, we present a novel NIDS algorithm, anchored in the Transformer model and finely tailored for cloud environments. Our algorithm melds the fundamental aspects of network intrusion detection with the sophisticated attention mechanism inherent to the Transformer model, facilitating a more insightful examination of the relationships between input features and diverse intrusion types, thereby bolstering detection accuracy. We provide a detailed design of our approach and have conducted a thorough comparative evaluation. Our experimental results demonstrate that the accuracy of our model is over 93%, which is comparable to that of the CNN-LSTM model, underscoring the effectiveness and viability of our Transformer-based intrusion detection algorithm in bolstering cloud security. This study investigated heterogeneity in language skills of children with autism and their relationship with different autistic social subtypes. Data from 90 autistic and 30 typically developing children were analyzed. Results showed that autistic social subtypes varied in language skill problems (aloof > passive > active-but-odd). There was a negative association between aloof dimension scores and language performance but positive for the active-but-odd dimension and no association in the passive one. Moreover, aloof dimension score was the main contributor to language performance. A receiver operating characteristic analysis suggested language vocabulary as an additional component in differentiating autistic social subtypes. Endothelial pyroptosis promotes cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury (CIRI). Sodium Danshensu (SDSS) has been shown to attenuate CIRI and have anti‐inflammatory properties in endothelial cells. However, the mechanism and effect of SDSS on alleviating endothelial pyroptosis after CIRI remains poorly understood. Thus, we aimed to investigate the efficacy and mechanism of SDSS in reducing endothelial pyroptosis. It has been shown that SDSS administration inhibited NLRP3 inflammasome‐mediated pyroptosis. As demonstrated by protein microarrays, molecular docking, CETSA and ITDRFCETSA, SDSS bound strongly to CLIC4. Furthermore, SDSS can decrease its expression and inhibit its translocation. Its effectiveness was lowered by CLIC4 overexpression but not by knockdown. Overall The beneficial effect of SDSS against CIRI in this study can be ascribed to blocking endothelial pyroptosis by binding to CLIC4 and then inhibiting chloride efflux‐dependent NLRP3 inflammasome activation. Dysregulation of osteoblastic differentiation is an important risk factor of osteoporosis, the therapy of which is challenging. Dehydrocostus lactone (DHC), a sesquiterpene isolated from medicinal plants, has displayed anti‐inflammatory and antitumor properties. In this study, we investigated the effects of DHC on osteoblastic differentiation and mineralization of MC3T3‐E1 cells. Interestingly, we found that DHC increased the expression of marker genes of osteoblastic differentiation, such as alkaline phosphatase (ALP), osteocalcin (OCN), and osteopontin (OPN). Additionally, DHC increased the expressions of collagen type I alpha 1 (Col1a1) and collagen type I alpha 2 (Col1a2). We also demonstrate that DHC increased ALP activity. Importantly, the Alizarin Red S staining assay revealed that DHC enhanced osteoblastic differentiation of MC3T3‐E1 cells. Mechanistically, it is shown that DHC increased the expression of Runx‐2, a central regulator of osteoblastic differentiation. Treatment with DHC also increased the levels of phosphorylated p38, and its blockage using its specific inhibitor SB203580 abolished the effects of DHC on runt‐related transcription factor 2 (Runx‐2) expression and osteoblastic differentiation, suggesting the involvement of p38. Based on these findings, we concluded that DHC might possess a capacity for the treatment of osteoporosis by promoting osteoblastic differentiation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The integration of molecular chain changes on a microscopic scale to achieve macroscopic performance is crucial in degradation processes concerning O-ring seals. Nonetheless, a comprehensive and compelling mathematical model that can describe molecular chains' material properties and macroscopic material properties simultaneously for O-rings under high-pressure conditions is yet to be established. In this paper, we propose a degradation model based on viscoelasticity and molecular chain statistics for hydrogen permeation. The proposed model aims to establish the relationship between the material molecular chains and macroscopic material properties, with a primary focus on accurately recognizing the performance degradation process of rubber sealing rings. We verify the model's reliability through uniaxial tensile strength experiments and high-pressure hydrogen immersion experiments, respectively. Predictions of the model exhibit favorable conformity with the experimental data concerning the above phenomena. Furthermore, we derive the number of molecular chains and maximum strain of the degradation process. Based on the similarity of the degradation process's descent, it is plausible to speculate that NBR properties' degradation can be characterized by the average number of molecular chains. Potatoes are the fourth major food crop in the world. Higher levels of glycoside alkaloids (GAs) lead to detrimental effects on the edibility and processing qualities. GAs are largely influenced by light; however, the mechanisms of this regulation by light are not well understood. By analyzing the bioinformatics of the phytochrome genes (PHYs) in potatoes, its expression level, the content of GAs and the correlation between them under different lights, this study aims to reveal the specific mechanism of light-regulated GAs accumulation and provide a theoretical basis for improved potato processing. Results based on high-performance liquid chromatography and imaging mass microscopy showed that red light induced a significant increase in α-chaconine and α-solanine accumulation compared to white light, but there was almost no accumulation in the dark within 12 days. Meanwhile, a bioinformatic analysis of PHY gene family members was performed, and the results showed that the five StPHYs were distributed on chromosomes 1, 2, 5, 7 and 10, with amino acid counts ranging from 704 to 1130. StPHYs genes have abundant light-responsive elements. Also, the expression patterns of StPHYs were dramatically induced by red light. Additionally, a correlation analysis showed that the GAs accumulation was significantly correlated with StPHYs expression. 24. CMIP6‐projected changes in drought over Xinjiang, Northwest China.

Xinjiang, located in Northwest China, is a typical arid and semiarid region. In this region, frequent droughts have caused great losses in agricultural production and social economy. Therefore, changes in drought over Xinjiang have attracted considerable attention. This study projects the drought changes over Xinjiang during the 21st century, based on the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6) simulations under three Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs). The Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI) is applied to measure drought variation. After quantitatively evaluating the performance of 25 CMIP6 models in annual and seasonal precipitation and evapotranspiration in Xinjiang during 1995–2014, we select 13 preferred models for projection. The projection results show significant decreasing trends in annual SPEI during 2021–2100 in Xinjiang, with the trends of −0.1/10a, −0.1/10a and −0.2/10a under SSP1‐2.6, SSP2‐4.5 and SSP5‐8.5, respectively. For seasons, the projected decreasing trends of SPEI in summer, autumn and spring are greater than that in winter. Relative to 1995–2014, during 2081–2100, moderate and severe droughts are projected to occupy a major increase in drought areas in Xinjiang under the three scenarios. In addition, drought tends to become more frequent and intense and last longer especially under higher scenarios. Under SSP5‐8.5, the projected regionally averaged drought frequency, intensity and duration increase by 15%, 8% and 1 month at the end of the 21st century. On the whole, the intermodel uncertainties of the projected changes in drought over Xinjiang increase with time in each emission. Background. Alleviating mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is crucial to delay the progression of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Jia-Wei-Kai-Xin-San (JWKXS) is applied for treating AD with MCI. However, the mechanism of JWKXS in the treatment of MCI is unclear. Thus, this study aimed to investigate the effect and mechanism of JWKXS in SAMP8 mice models of MCI. Methods. MCI models were established to examine learning and memory ability and explore the pathomechanisms in brain of SAMP8 mice at 4, 6, and 8 months. The mice were treated for 8 weeks and the effects of JWKXS on MCI were characterized through Morris water maze and HE/Nissl's/immunohistochemical staining. Its mechanism was predicted by the combination of UPLC-Q-TOF/MS and system pharmacology analysis, further verified with SAMP8 mice, BV2 microglial cells, and PC12 cells. Results. It was found that 4-month-old SAMP8 mice exhibited MCI. Two months of JWKXS treatment improved the learning and memory ability, alleviated the hippocampal tissue and neuron damage. Through network pharmacology, four key signaling pathways were found to be involved in treatment of MCI by JWKXS, including TLR4/NF-κB pathway, NLRP3 inflammasome activation, and intrinsic and extrinsic apoptosis. In vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrated that JWKXS attenuated neuroinflammation by inhibiting microglia activation, suppressing TLR4/NF-κB and NLRP3 inflammasome pathways, and blocking the extrinsic and intrinsic apoptotic pathways leading to neuronal apoptosis suppression in the hippocampus. Conclusion. JWKXS treatment improved the learning and memory ability and conferred neuroprotective effects against MCI by inducing anti-inflammation and antiapoptosis. Limitations. The small sample size and short duration of the intervention limit in-depth investigation of the mechanisms. Future Prospects. This study explores the direction and magnitude of racial disparities on three advanced placement (AP) computer science (CS) exams, namely AP CS Principles, AP CS A, and AP CS AB, based on the test scores of more than one million students who have taken AP CS exams between 1997 and 2020. Using Mann–Kendall test and Sen's slope procedures we found that the number of Black, Hispanic, and Native American students in AP CS exams have increased steadily and significantly over years, yet they are still far from reaching parity. Further, our findings suggest that the racial disparities among top achievers are very wide. The results provide educators and researchers support for identifying and quantifying the racial disparities in advanced academic programs and may inform the development of policies, practices, and programs to reduce racial disparities in pre-college CS education and further. Red light induces stomatal opening by affecting photosynthesis, metabolism and triggering signal transductions in guard cells. Phytochrome B (phyB) plays a positive role in mediating red light‐induced stomatal opening. However, phyB‐mediated red light guard cell signalling is poorly understood. Here, we found that phyB‐mediated sequential phosphorylation of mitogen‐activated protein kinase kinase 2 (MAPKK2, MKK2) and MPK2 in guard cells is essential for red light‐induced stomatal opening. Mutations in MKK2 and MPK2 led to reduced stomatal opening in response to white light, and these phenotypes could be observed under red light, not blue light. MKK2 interacted with MPK2 in vitro and in plants. MPK2 was directly phosphorylated by MKK2 in vitro. Red light triggered the phosphorylation of MKK2 in guard cells, and MKK2 phosphorylation was greatly reduced in phyB mutant. Simultaneously, red light‐stimulated MPK2 phosphorylation in guard cells was inhibited in mkk2 mutant. Furthermore, mkk2 and mpk2 mutants exhibit significantly smaller stomatal apertures than that of wild type during the stomatal opening stage in the diurnal stomatal movements. Our results indicate that red light‐promoted phyB‐dependent phosphorylation of MKK2‐MPK2 cascade in guard cells is essential for stomatal opening, which contributes to the fine‐tuning of stomatal opening apertures under light. Summary statement: Red light triggers phytochrome B‐dependent phosphorylation of MKK2‐MPK2 cascade in guard cells of Arabidopsis, and MKK2‐MPK2 positively regulates red light‐induced stomatal opening. The thermophysical properties of CO
2 + alkane mixtures involved in Fischer–Tropsch (FT) synthesis process are attracting attention. In this work, the viscosity and density of squalane and binary mixture of squalane with dissolved carbon dioxide were measured by using a vibrating-wire apparatus. The measurements were performed at temperatures from (298.15 to 548.15) K and pressures up to 10 MPa for squalane, and over the temperature range from (308.15 to 548.15) K and at pressures up to approximately 6 MPa for CO2 + squalane under CO2 -saturated conditions. The estimated combined expanded uncertainties are 2.2% and 0.24% for viscosity and density, respectively, with a confidence level of 0.95 (k = 2). The results show that the dissolution of CO2 in squalane widens the density range and reduces greatly the viscosity when compared to pure squalane at the experimental temperature and pressure ranges. In addition, the experimental data of viscosity and density were correlated using the modified Tait-Andrade equation and Tait equation, respectively. The correlations developed in this work for both pure squalane and CO2 + squalane mixture are in good agreement with the experimental results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

29. Enhanced Photovoltaic Properties of Y6 Derivatives with Asymmetric Terminal Groups: A Theoretical Insight.

Y6 derivatives with asymmetric terminal groups have attracted considerable attention in recent years. However, the effects of the asymmetric modification of terminal groups on the photovoltaic performance of Y6 derivatives are not well understood yet. Therefore, we designed a series of Y6-based acceptors with asymmetric terminal groups by endowing them with various electron-withdrawing abilities and different conjugated rings to conduct systematic research. The electron-withdrawing ability of the Y6-D1 terminal group (substituted by IC-2F and IC-2NO
2 terminals) is strongest, followed by Y6 (substituted by two same IC-2F terminals), Y6-D2 (substituted by IC-2F and 2-(4-oxo-4,5-dihydro-6H-cyclopenta[b]thiophen-6-ylidene)malononitrile terminals), Y6-D4 (substituted by IC-2F and indene ring), and Y6-D3 (substituted by IC-2F and thiazole ring). Computed results show that A–A stacking is the main molecular packing mode of Y6 and four other asymmetric Y6 derivatives. The ratios of A–A stacking face-on configuration of Y6-D1, Y6-D2, Y6-D3, Y6-D4, and Y6 are 51.6%, 55.0%, 43.5%, 59.3%, and 62.4%, respectively. Except for Y6-D1 substituted by the IC-2F and IC-2NO2 (the strongest electron-withdrawing capacity) terminal groups, the other three asymmetric molecules are mainly electron-transporting and can therefore act as acceptors. The open-circuit voltages of organic solar cells (OSCs) based on Y6-D2, Y6-D3, and Y6-D4, except for Y6-D1, may be higher than those of OSCs based on the Y6 acceptor because of their higher energy levels of lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO). PM6/Y6-D3 and PM6/Y6-D4 have better light absorption properties than PM6/Y6 due to their higher total oscillator strength. Astrocytes release numerous factors known to contribute to the process of synaptogenesis, yet knowledge about the signals that control their release is limited. We hypothesized that neuron-derived signals stimulate astrocytes, which respond to neurons through the modulation of astrocyte-released synaptogenic factors. Here we investigate the effect of cholinergic stimulation of astrocytes on synaptogenesis in co-cultured neurons. Using a culture system where primary rat astrocytes and primary rat neurons are first grown separately allowed us to independently manipulate astrocyte cholinergic signaling. Subsequent co-culture of pre-stimulated astrocytes with naïve neurons enabled us to assess how prior stimulation of astrocyte acetylcholine receptors uniquely modulates neuronal synapse formation. Pre-treatment of astrocytes with the acetylcholine receptor agonist carbachol increased the expression of synaptic proteins, the number of pre- and postsynaptic puncta, and the number of functional synapses in hippocampal neurons after 24 h in co-culture. Astrocyte secretion of the synaptogenic protein thrombospondin-1 increased after cholinergic stimulation and inhibition of the receptor for thrombospondins prevented the increase in neuronal synaptic structures. Thus, we identified a novel mechanism of neuron-astrocyte-neuron communication, where neuronal release of acetylcholine stimulates astrocytes to release synaptogenic proteins leading to increased synaptogenesis in neurons. This study provides new insights into the role of neurotransmitter receptors in developing astrocytes and into our understanding of the modulation of astrocyte-induced synaptogenesis. Apples and their products exemplify the recently reemphasized link between dietary fruit intake and the alleviation of human disease. Their consumption does indeed improve human health due to their high phytochemical content. To identify potentially relevant articles from clinical trials, some epidemiological studies and meta‐analyses, and in vitro and in vivo studies (cell cultures and animal models), PubMed was searched from January 1, 2012, to May 15, 2022. This review summarized the potential effects of apple and apple products (juices, puree, pomace, dried apples, extracts rich in apple bioactives and single apple bioactives) on health. Apples and apple products have protective effects against cardiovascular diseases, cancer, as well as mild cognitive impairment and promote hair growth, healing of burn wounds, improve the oral environment, prevent niacin‐induced skin flushing, promote the relief of UV‐induced skin pigmentation, and improve the symptoms of atopic dermatitis as well as cedar hay fever among others. These effects are associated with various mechanisms, such as vascular endothelial protection, blood lipids lowering, anti‐inflammatory, antioxidant, antiapoptotic, anti‐invasion, and antimetastatic effects. Usage of mobile dating apps has been a rising trend in recent times, including during the COVID-19 lockdown periods. One of the key concerns about the use of such apps is in the amount and types of user data collected (e.g., personal and sensitive information such as sexual orientation, and information about online activities such as intimate messages and browsing behaviors). Since it is relatively easy and inexpensive to setup a man-in-the-middle attack and intercept dating app communication, a natural question is then whether the communication is encrypted and/or how much 'useful' information an attacker can infer from the intercepted communication, for example using freely available tools. Seeking to answer this question, we focus on the Badoo dating applications for both Android and iOS mobile devices (i.e., app version 5.187.0 on iPphone 7 (iOS 14.2), and app version 5.198.1 on Moto G5 Plus (Android v7.0)). Do people share their feelings of guilt with others and, if so, what are the reasons for doing this or not doing this? Even though the social sharing of negative emotional experiences, such as regret, has been extensively studied, not much is known about whether people share feelings of guilt and why. We report three studies exploring these questions. In Study 1, we re-analysed data about sharing guilt experiences posted on a social website called "Yahoo Answers", and found that people share intrapersonal as well as interpersonal guilt experiences with others online. Study 2 found that the main motivations of sharing guilt (compared with the sharing of regret) were "venting", "clarification and meaning", and "gaining advice". Study 3 found that people were more likely to share experiences of interpersonal guilt and more likely to keep experiences of intrapersonal guilt to themselves. Cloud computing has gained popularity in recent years, but with its rise comes concerns about data security. Unauthorized access and attacks on cloud-based data, applications, and infrastructure are major challenges that must be addressed. While machine learning algorithms have improved intrusion detection systems in cloud data security, they often fail to consider the entire life cycle of file processing, making it difficult to detect certain issues, especially insider attacks. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a novel approach to analyzing data file processing in multi-cloud environments using process mining. By generating a complete file processing event log from a multi-cloud environment, the proposed approach enables detection from both control flow and performance perspectives, providing a deeper understanding of the underlying file processing in its full life cycle. Through our case study, we demonstrate the power and capabilities of process mining for file security detection and showcase its ability to provide further insights into file security in multi-cloud environments. Drug development for Alzheimer's disease, the leading cause of dementia, has been a long-standing challenge. Saponins, which are steroid or triterpenoid glycosides with various pharmacological activities, have displayed therapeutic potential in treating Alzheimer's disease. In a comprehensive review of the literature from May 2007 to May 2023, we identified 63 references involving 40 different types of saponins that have been studied for their effects on Alzheimer's disease. These studies suggest that saponins have the potential to ameliorate Alzheimer's disease by reducing amyloid beta peptide deposition, inhibiting tau phosphorylation, modulating oxidative stress, reducing inflammation, and antiapoptosis. Most intriguingly, ginsenoside Rg1 and pseudoginsenoside-F11 possess these important pharmacological properties and show the best promise for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. This review provides a summary and classification of common saponins that have been studied for their therapeutic potential in Alzheimer's disease, showcasing their underlying mechanisms. Atherosclerosis, the main pathological basis of cardiovascular disease, is a chronic inflammatory disease that severely affects the quality of human life. Resveratrol (Res) is a natural polyphenol that is a major component of many herbs and foods. The present study analyzed resveratrol from the perspective of visualization and bibliometric analysis and found that resveratrol is closely related to the inflammatory response in cardiovascular diseases (associated with atherosclerosis). To explore the specific molecular mechanism of resveratrol, network pharmacology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) were used, in which HIF-1α signaling may be a key pathway in the treatment of AS. Furthermore, we induced the polarization of macrophage RAW264.7 to M1 type to generate inflammatory response by the combination of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) (200 ng/mL) + interferon-γ (IFN-γ) (2.5 ng/mL). LPS and IFN-γ increased the inflammatory factor levels of IL-1β, TNF-α, and IL-6 in RAW264.7, and the proportion of M1-type macrophages also increased, but the expression of inflammatory factors decreased after resveratrol administration, which confirmed the anti-inflammatory effect of resveratrol in AS. In addition, we found that resveratrol downregulated the protein expression of toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)/NF-κB/hypoxia inducible factor-1 alpha (HIF-1α). In conclusion, resveratrol has a significant anti-inflammatory effect, alleviates HIF-1α-mediated angiogenesis, and prevents the progression of AS through the TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway. Interval-valued q-rung orthopair fuzzy number (IVq-ROFN) is a popular tool for modeling complex uncertain information and has gained successful applications in the field of comprehensive evaluation. However, most of the existing studies are based on the absolute values of evaluation data but fail to take incentive effects into account. Reasonable and appropriate incentive can guide the evaluated objects to better achieve the decision goals. Therefore, this study develops an incentive mechanism-based interval-valued q-rung orthopair fuzzy dynamic comprehensive evaluation method. Firstly, new interval-valued q-rung orthopair fuzzy measures including deviation measure and correlation coefficient are proposed for managing IVq-ROFNs data. To overcome the limitations of the existing aggregating operators that are not suitable for scenarios with need of many times of data aggregation, we introduce two new interval-valued q-rung orthopair fuzzy aggregating operators. Furthermore, a new interval-valued orthopair fuzzy CRITIC method is developed to objectively determine the importance of the evaluated criteria. More importantly, the horizontal incentive effects within a single period and the vertical incentive effects during multiple periods under IVq-ROFNs environments are proposed to reward (or punish) the evaluated objects in the evaluation process. The evaluated results are determined based on the full compensatory model and the multiplicative form model. The main advantage of the developed method is that the expectations of decision-makers and the dynamic characteristics during multiple periods are taken fully into account, which can make the evaluation results more reasonable and reliable. Finally, this developed comprehensive evaluation method is applied to evaluate the green development level of Jiangxi province within eleven cities from 2016 to 2020. We observe that the cities x
2 , x3 , x4 , x5 , x7 , x8 are rewarded within positive incentive values and the cities x1 , x6 , x9 , x10 , x11 are punished within negative incentive values. Especially, the positive incentive value for the city x3 is the biggest and the negative incentive value for the city x9 is the biggest. The best city in term of GDL is x3 . Smiling has often been incorrectly interpreted as "happy" in the popular facial expression datasets (AffectNet, RAF-DB, FERPlus). Smiling is the most complex human expression, with positive, neutral, and negative smiles. We focused on fine-grained facial expression recognition (FER) and built a new smiling face dataset, named Facial Expression Emotions. This dataset categorizes smiles into six classes of smiles, containing a total of 11,000 images labeled with corresponding fine-grained facial expression classes. We propose Smile Transformer, a network architecture for FER based on the Swin Transformer, to enhance the local perception capability of the model and improve the accuracy of fine-grained face recognition. Moreover, a convolutional block attention module (CBAM) was designed, to focus on important features of the face image and suppress unnecessary regional responses. For better classification results, an image quality evaluation module was used to assign different labels to images with different qualities. Additionally, a dynamic weight loss function was designed, to assign different learning strategies according to the labels during training, focusing on hard yet recognizable samples and discarding unidentifiable samples, to achieve better recognition. Overall, we focused on (a) creating a novel dataset of smiling facial images from online annotated images, and (b) developing a method for improved FER in smiling images. Facial Expression Emotions achieved an accuracy of 88.56% and could serve as a new benchmark dataset for future research on fine-grained FER. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article from the journal Neurocritical Care explores the relationship between inflammation and cardiac dysfunction after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). The authors conducted a retrospective analysis of 256 patients with SAH and found that 34.7% had systolic dysfunction based on echocardiography. They identified a correlation between elevated leukocytes, particularly monocytes, and reduced systolic function. The authors also used animal models to investigate the role of monocyte-derived macrophage infiltration in cardiac tissue and found that an immunomodulatory agent called fingolimod attenuated inflammation. The study suggests that monocytes could be used as a predictor of cardiac dysfunction in SAH patients and that fingolimod may have therapeutic potential in reducing inflammation. However, the study could benefit from providing numerical values for ejection fraction and further investigation into the correlation between macrophage infiltration and LV dysfunction. Additionally, the impact of the location of SAH aneurysm rupture on inflammation and LV dysfunction is unclear. Overall, the findings contribute to understanding the mechanisms of cardiac injury after SAH and suggest potential strategies for prevention and treatment. [Extracted from the article]

Chronic low-grade inflammation has been identified as a major contributor in the development of atherosclerosis. Nuclear Factor-κappa B (NF-κB) is a critical transcription factors family of the inflammatory pathway. As a major catalytic subunit of the IKK complex, IκB kinase β (IKKβ) drives canonical activation of NF-κB and is implicated in the link between inflammation and atherosclerosis, making it a promising therapeutic target. Various natural product derivatives, extracts, and synthetic, show anti-atherogenic potential by inhibiting IKKβ-mediated inflammation. This review focuses on the latest knowledge and current research landscape surrounding anti-atherosclerotic drugs that inhibit IKKβ. Although the NeRF approach can achieve outstanding view synthesis, it is limited in practical use because it requires many views (hundreds) for training. With only a few input views, the Depth-DYN NeRF that we propose can accurately match the shape. First, we adopted the ip_basic depth-completion method, which can recover the complete depth map from sparse radar depth data. Then, we further designed the Depth-DYN MLP network architecture, which uses a dense depth prior to constraining the NeRF optimization and combines the depthloss to supervise the Depth-DYN MLP network. When compared to the color-only supervised-based NeRF, the Depth-DYN MLP network can better recover the geometric structure of the model and reduce the appearance of shadows. To further ensure that the depth depicted along the rays intersecting these 3D points is close to the measured depth, we dynamically modified the sample space based on the depth of each pixel point. Depth-DYN NeRF considerably outperforms depth NeRF and other sparse view versions when there are a few input views. Using only 10–20 photos to render high-quality images on the new view, our strategy was tested and confirmed on a variety of benchmark datasets. Neural radiation field (NeRF)-based novel view synthesis methods are gaining popularity. NeRF can generate more detailed and realistic images than traditional methods. Conventional NeRF reconstruction of a room scene requires at least several hundred images as input data and generates several spatial sampling points, placing a tremendous burden on the training and prediction process with respect to memory and computational time. To address these problems, we propose a prior-driven NeRF model that only accepts sparse views as input data and reduces a significant number of non-functional sampling points to improve training and prediction efficiency and achieve fast high-quality rendering. First, this study uses depth priors to guide sampling, and only a few sampling points near the controllable range of the depth prior are used as input data, which reduces the memory occupation and improves the efficiency of training and prediction. Second, this study encodes depth priors as distance weights into the model and guides the model to quickly fit the object surface. Finally, a novel approach combining the traditional mesh rendering method (TMRM) and the NeRF volume rendering method was used to further improve the rendering efficiency. Objectives and Introduction: The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence and influencing factors of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients complicated with infection having multi-system involvement and to analyze the influencing factors of early CMV and fungal infection. Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study of hospitalized SLE patients complicated with infection. Participants had an average age of 44.80 ± 17.30, with 152 being female (89.94%). Clinical data and laboratory results were collected from medical records. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were plotted, and sensitivity and specificity were calculated. Results: Univariate analysis showed that systemic lupus erythematosus disease activity index-2000 (SLEDAI-2k), red blood cell, platelets, hemoglobin, lymphocytes, IgG, IgM, C3, C4, albumin and globulin were significantly associated with SLE patients with infection complicated with multi-system involvement. After multivariable analysis, the following variables remained significant: Hemoglobin, CD4 lymphocyte, IgM and SM (p < 0.05). ROC curve analysis showed the areas under the curve of Hb, CD4 count, and IgM for the differential diagnosis of SLE with infection complicated with multisystem involvement being 0.646, 0.627, and 0.610. Then, the sensitivities of 73.3%, 53.3%, and 73.3% were observed with the specificities of 54.1%, 69.7%, and 48.6%, respectively. Conclusions: Our results demonstrated that hemoglobin, CD4 lymphocyte value, IgM and anti SM antibody had significant value in monitoring multi-system involvement in SLE patients complicated with infection. Besides, intrinsic lymphatic count disturbances associated with SLE disease can cause infections by opportunistic pathogens such as fungi. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Studies on hydrogen leakage mainly have focused on the influences of the leakage locations and geometrical configurations on the distribution of hydrogen in various spaces. In this study, a simplified model was developed to examine the diffusion of the hydrogen leaked into a small fuel cell bus with seats. The impact of leakage positions and leak flow rate on the dispersion of hydrogen in a cuboid ventilation space (with dimensions L x W x H = 5 m × 2 m × 2 m) was investigated, and concentrations of hydrogen in the vicinity of the corner at the ceiling were of particular interest. It was shown the peak average concentration at the ceiling increased with increasing the leak flow rate. However, the duration from the appearance to the disappearance of the combustible hydrogen‐air mixture decreased with the increase of the leak flow rate. This study highlights the importance of leakage positions and demonstrates that the dispersion of hydrogen is faster for leakage in the horizontal direction. The proposed approach is useful for improving the design of the arrangement of hydrogen storage tanks to eliminate consequent accidents or minimize the harmful impacts during an accident. Objectively evaluating representative papers in a specific scientific research field is of great significance to the development of academia and scientific research institutions. Representative papers on achievements in scientific research can reflect the academic level and research characteristics of researchers and research institutions. The existing research methods are mainly based on external feature indicators and citation analysis methods, and the method of combining artificial intelligence is in its infancy. From the perspective of scientific research institutions, this paper proposes a graph autoencoder framework based on heterogeneous networks for the measurement of paper impact, named GAEPIM. Specifically, we propose two versions of GAEPIM based on a graph convolutional network and graph transformer network. The models rank papers in a specific research field and find the most representative papers and their scientific institutions. The proposed framework constructs a heterogeneous network of papers, institutions, and venues and simultaneously analyzes the semantic information of papers and the heterogeneous network structural information. Background: Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP) with refractory gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms is always difficult to handle because of its resistance to supportive therapies and glucocorticoid. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of hemoperfusion (HP) and intravenous immunoglobulins (IVIG) therapies in this population.Methods: Sixty-four HSP patients with refractory GI involvement (R-GI group) and 64 cases with mild GI symptoms (control group) were retrospectively analyzed in our center from March 2016 to October 2019. In R-GI group, 42 cases (subgroup A) were treated with IVIG and steroid, 13 cases (subgroup B) used HP and steroid, 9 cases (subgroup C) executed a combination of IVIG, HP and steroid. Demographic characteristics, clinical features, laboratory indexes and treatment outcomes were recorded. t-test, One-way ANOVA, Mann-Whitney U test, and multivariate logistic regression were used in comparing differences among subgroups and predicting independent risk factors.Results: Compared with the control group, R-GI cases experienced higher risk of renal involvement (P = 0.000), more steroid exposure (P = 0.000), six times expenses (P = 0.000) and 2.3 times length of hospitalization (P = 0.000). The independent risk factors of R-GI group were elevated neutrophils (OR 1.250 [95% CI 1.130-1.383]) and the percentage of B lymphocytes (OR 1.100 [95% CI 1.026-1.179]) as well as decreased IgG (OR 0.847 [95% CI 0.732-0.98]). In R-GI group, increased age (OR 1.039 [95% CI 1.016-1.062]) and IgM (OR 5.994 [95% CI 1.403-27.611]) were verified to be risk factors of HSP nephritis. All three subgroups could alleviate the symptoms effectively. Compared with those in subgroup A, patients in subgroup B were elder (P = 0.004), had less relapse (P = 0.002), steroid exposure (P = 0.033) and expenses (P = 0.031), more significant decrease of WBC (P = 0.026) after treatment.Conclusion: The HSP with refractory GI involvement had much higher risk of medical burden and renal involvement. Both IVIG and HP therapies could ameliorate refractory GI symptoms efficiently. HP therapy tended to reduce the relapse, costs and steroid exposure in its audiences who were cooperated and with stable hemodynamics, while IVIG had better use in younger children. With the development of deep learning technology in the field of computer vision, the land cover classification of remote sensing images has gradually developed. In this paper, a deep learning algorithm for land cover classification of remote sensing images is proposed. Two dual-attention mechanism modules with multi-scale spatial attention and channel attention are designed and integrated into the DeepLabv3+ network, called multi-scale convolutional attention network (MCAN) and multi-scale atrous convolutional attention network (MACAN). Besides, Inception-Squeeze-and-Excitation network (ISNet) is added. So, the network can focus on the parts of remote sensing images that need attention at different scales, and it can improve the accuracy of remote sensing semantic segmentation. The experimental results show that the optimized network can achieve a Mean Intersection over Union (mIoU) of 74.03% on the DeepGlobe datasets, which is 14.55%, 13.47%, and 5.73% higher than that of UNet, SegNet, and DeepLabv3+. It also achieved good results on Vaihingen datasets. This result indicates that the optimized network can effectively improve the accuracy of remote sensing land cover classification.
