Despite the widespread utilization of Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), concerns regarding safety during operation persist owing to accidents and potential risks of fires and explosions. To comprehend the thermal dynamics that underlie severe LIB incidents, calorimetry tests have been prevalently employed for over three decades to examine the exothermic/endothermic behavior, reaction kinetics, and thermal interactions among LIB materials. There exists a substantial volume of calorimetry test results on various LIB electrodes, electrolytes, and other components. However, this data showcases low consistency, yielding an unreliable database that obstructs a thorough understanding of LIB thermal behavior. In this research, a comparative analysis of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) results from materials utilized in the most commercialized LIB systems is conducted. The analysis unveils notable discrepancies in DSC data amassed by different researchers, identifies five predominant causes of data inconsistency, proposes a standardized DSC operational procedure, and generates a set of self-consistent data. Subsequently, an intrinsic safety spectrum is delineated and compared with X-ray diffraction (XRD) outcomes to elucidate the correlation between the crystal lattice structure and the thermal behavior of the material. This work aids in the formation of a comparative DSC database, utilizing the vast but inconsistent literature data. Moreover, it clarifies the linkage between the material structure and thermal behavior, facilitating data-driven thermal analysis of LIBs.

Abstract Carbon nanotube (CNT) film photo‐thermoelectric (PTE) imagers are suitable for non‐destructive inspection techniques owing to their functionalities. Simultaneously, their practical application remains a crucial bottleneck due to low yield handling in the device fabrication (e.g., disconnections between photo absorbent channels and readout electrodes). However, studies clarifying the above malfunction mechanism and associated dominant factors in device handling, such as specific fabrication or material selection steps, still need to be completed. To address this issue, this work introduces all‐screen‐coatable fabrication techniques for CNT film PTE imagers to enhance their physical and thermal durabilities. First, this work determined that the transfer of CNT films on supporting substrates dominantly governs the mechanical robustness of the channels and that thermal curing in the subsequent fabrication process is an essential factor in the yields of channel‐electrode connections. The proposed approach ensures a transfer‐free direct coating of the CNT film on diverse substrates and is sufficiently durable against thermal curing‐induced disconnections at the channel‐electrode interfaces. The screen‐coating technique is also available for whole device materials of solution‐processable CNT film PTE imagers, simplifying fabrication processes. All‐screen‐coatable CNT film PTE imagers synergize their inherent functional sensing and high‐yield operations toward versatile applications.

The use of imager devices to supplement broadband photo-monitoring technology has enabled multi-functional sensing capability relevant to internet of things-related applications. Here, the authors report a robotassisted imager-implanted broadband photo-monitoring sensing platform.

The photo-thermoelectric (PTE) effect in electronic materials effectively combines photo-absorption-induced local heating and associated thermoelectric conversion for uncooled and broadband photo-detection. In particular, this work comprehensively summarizes the operating mechanism of carbon nanotube (CNT)-film-based PTE sensors and ubiquitous non-destructive inspections realized by exploiting the material properties of CNT films. Formation of heterogeneous material junctions across the CNT-film-based PTE sensors, namely photo-detection interfaces, triggers the Seebeck effect with photo-absorption-induced local heating. Typical photo-detection interfaces include a channel–electrode boundary and a junction between P-type CNTs and N-type CNTs (PN junctions). While the original CNT film channel exhibits positive Seebeck coefficient values, the material selections of the counterpart freely govern the intensity and polarity of the PTE response signals. Based on these operating mechanisms, CNT film PTE sensors demonstrate a variety of physical and chemical non-destructive inspections. The device aggregates broad multi-spectral optical information regarding the targets and reconstructs their inner composite or layered structures. Arbitrary deformations of the device are attributed to the macroscopic flexibility of the CNT films to further monitor targets from omni-directional viewing angles without blind spots. Detection of blackbody radiation from targets using the device also visualizes their behaviors and associated changes.

As flexible wearable sensors and imagers are receiving attention from diverse social sectors, the freely attachable photothermoelectric (PTE) conversion technique should be evaluated to develop a highly usable safety sensor network. Although carbon nanotube (CNT)‐related materials should be effective, the key parameters/structures that maximize PTE conversion have not been clarified, thus hindering optimum device design and practical use. Herein, the flexible, sensitive broadband photodetection operation based on a coupling configuration between the CNT film photo/heat/electron channel and metal electrode is evaluated. Experimental PTE measurements and steady‐state thermal distribution simulations reveal that a series coupling of a p‐type CNT film channel and a highly negative Seebeck coefficient counter metal electrode facilitate superior photodetection performances than those of a parallel coupling configuration. Furthermore, subsequent device designs provide sensitive broadband photodetection from the millimeter‐wave to visible light wavelength regions with a minimum noise equivalent power of 5 pWHz−1/2 in an uncooled nonvacuum condition. Simultaneously, the mechanical flexibility of the proposed photodetector allows for its use in freely attachable sheet imager applications on curvilinear objects, and the nondestructive 3D photomonitoring of a defective intricately bent sample is demonstrated.

The practical application in Changcun Coal Mine verified effectiveness of the technology of spraying for dust suppression.

According to the characteristics of different symbolic gases produced in different periods of spontaneous combustion of coal, gas chromatography was applied to make qualitative and quantitative analysis for gas samples in mined-out area of one coal mine, the components and the change of content of the symbolic gases were used to forecast condition of coal spontaneous combustion. It establishes a foundation for taking appropriate preventive measure in advance.

Abstract Background Traffic-related air pollution especially in highly socioeconomically developed megacity is usually considered as a severe problem leading to inevitable adverse health outcomes. This study aimed to investigate the associations between traffic-related air pollutants with risk of dry eye disease (DED) outpatient visits in a megacity (Guangzhou) along the subtropical coast in South China. Methods Daily data on DED outpatient visits and environmental variables from 1 January 2014 to 31 December 2020 in Guangzhou were obtained. A time-series study using a quasi-Poisson generalized linear model (GLM) combined with distributed lag non-linear model (DLNM) was adopted. Subgroup analyses stratified by age, gender, and season were conducted. Results Totally, 27, 828 DED cases were identified during the study period including 2557 days. Daily number of outpatient visits for DED ranged from 0 to 41. An increase of 10 μg/m3 in PM2.5, NO2 and SO2 concentration was associated with 3.1%, 5.9% and 17.4% increase in the risk of DED outpatient visits, respectively (RRPM2.5 = 1.031, 95%CI: 1.004–1.059, lag 0–11 day; RRNO2 = 1.059, 95% CI: 1.027–1.092, lag0-14 day; RRSO2 = 1.174, 95% CI: 1.036–1.330, lag0-13 day). [Purposes] The evolution of the Arctic sea ice melt pond includes the morphological change in the horizontal direction and the structural evolution in the vertical direction, but there is a few observation equipment for the vertical structure of the melt pond. In view of the problems existing in the observation of the Arctic sea ice melt pond, an automatic observation system for the vertical temperature profile of melt pond is designed. [Methods] The system is composed of observation module, power supply module, data acquisition module, data transmission module, and auxiliary module. [Findings] This system can realize continuous automatic observation of the atmosphere, snow, sea ice, melt pond, and upper ocean. The system can also provide on-site data for the verification of the results of the melt pond model, improving China’s ability to observe the rapid changes of the Arctic sea ice, and has important engineering application value.

Abstract Background Retinal artery occlusions are rare amongst young adults, and relevant risk factors and etiology remain unclear. In this report, we present a case of central retinal artery occlusion (CRAO) as the initial manifestation of mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD) in a young woman. Case presentation A 22-year-old female presented to the emergency department with a sudden decrease in visual acuity in her right eye for 1 hour. She reported a similar episode in her left eye five years prior, which resolved spontaneously after 2 hours. Initially misdiagnosed with optic neuritis in the right eye at another hospital, she was referred to our institution the following day. Clinical examination revealed a CRAO in her right eye. A detailed medical history revealed that she had developed livedo reticularis (LR) on both lower limbs five years ago, which had been overlooked and untreated. Further rheumatologic history, hematologic tests, and an autoimmune work-up confirmed a diagnosis of mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD). Conclusion In young patients presenting with CRAO, further examinations should be conducted to investigate systemic disease or an embolic source to prevent future sequelae.

Objective Yuncheng Salt Lake, located within the core area of the Fenwei Graben System in the south-central part of the North China Craton, is the earliest known salt lake in China and worldwide. The formation and evolution of the Yuncheng Salt Lake are closely related to the Cenozoic tectonic domains of the coastal Pacific in eastern China and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in western China. However, there are many debates regarding the spatiotemporal processes and key timing associated with these two domains in the Yuncheng Salt Lake. Additionally, the salt lake is rich in sodium, magnesium, chloride, and sulfate ions; however the sources of these saline ions remain unclear. Methods This study investigated the major changes in the Cenozoic tectonic geomorphology of the Yuncheng Basin and its surrounding areas, focusing on the evolution of the Cenozoic river-lake system to establish the formation and evolution stages of the Yuncheng Salt Lake. This study combined the tectonic background and geochemical element analysis of typical strata in the adjacent Zhongtiao Mountains to identify the main sources of saline ions in the Yuncheng Salt Lake. Results At the boundary between the Paleogene and Neogene, there was a widespread angular unconformity across the central and eastern parts of the North China Craton. This unconformity affected the Weihe Basin in the Fenwei Graben System to the west, and not the northeastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, which connects to the western North China Craton. This indicates that the tectonic forces during this period originated mainly from the coastal Pacific tectonic domain of the eastern North China Craton. In the mid-Miocene, a widespread unconformity along the northeastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau connect to the western North China Craton. The northeastward uplift and expansion of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau affected caused the Ordos Basin to rotate counterclockwise, initiating the formation of the Shanxi Graben System within the Fenwei Graben System. The Cenozoic evolution of the Yuncheng Salt Lake is the result of the interaction between the two major tectonic domains of eastern and western China. Before the mid-Miocene, the coastal Pacific tectonic domain predominantly controlled the region. Subsequently, the long-distance effects of northeastward uplift and expansion of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau began to influence the Yuncheng Salt Lake. The Jixian System Longjiayuan Formation in the Zhongtiao Mountain area is composed of marine carbonate deposits that is the primary source of magnesium ions for the salt lake, with an average magnesium oxide content of 20.92%. The Paleogene Pinglu Group, an arid lake basin deposit rich in gypsum layers, provids sodium, chloride, and sulfate ions to the salt lake, with an average sodium oxide content of up to 2.6%. Conclusion This study suggested that approximatedly 700000 years ago, during the transition between the early and middle Pleistocene, the Yellow River flowed eastward into the sea through the Sanmenxia Gorge, leading to the disappearance of the Sanmen paleolake and the initial formation of the Yuncheng Salt Lake. Approximately 70000 years ago, during the mid-late Pleistocene, the Fen River changed its course and left the Yuncheng Basin, transforming the salt lake from an open to a closed system, ultimately forming the Yuncheng Salt Lake. Subsequently, under the continuous influence of the fault at the northern edge of the Zhongtiao Mountains, a large sedimentary depression formed, accumulating a large amount of saline minerals. Natural salt lake is formed over long periods of precipitation and evaporation. Currently, the saline ions of the Yuncheng Salt Lake mainly originate from adjacent sedimentary strata in the Zhongtiao Mountains and deep mineralization layers. The major fault controlling the salt lake provides the upward migration and injection of saline substances from deep mineralization layers into the salt lake. The marine high-magnesium dolomite of the Longjiayuan Formation of the Mesoproterozoic Jixian System in the Zhongtiao Mountains is a major source of magnesium ions for the salt lake. Significance The research findings provide fundamental geological evidence for the implementation of an ecological protection strategy to restore the lake by reducing salt levels in Yuncheng Salt Lake.

Desertification and drought in inland Asia are closely related to human habitation and social sustainability in western China. The climate in western China has experienced multiple shifts in temperature and aridity since the Late Pleistocene. Investigating this region's Late Pleistocene paleoclimatic changes contributes to predicting future climate trends. This study analyzes the pollen records from the Qingshuihe Basin in southern Ningxia during the middle to late Late Pleistocene, revealing four distinct pollen assemblage zones from bottom to top. These zones reflect paleovegetation and paleoclimate changes during the middle to late Late Pleistocene. The results indicate that during the middle Late Pleistocene (75-50 ka B.P.), the region featured a predominantly Artemisia-dominated steppe landscape with a cool and relatively dry climate. In the late Late Pleistocene (25-15 ka B.P.), the area experienced alternations between desert-steppe or steppe and forest-steppe, transitioning gradually to desert-steppe. During this period, the winter monsoon strengthened, leading to progressively cooler and drier conditions, with the climate shifting from cool and slightly moist to cold and arid. The further study of the palynological records during the middle and late Late Pleistocene in the Qingshuihe Basin of southern Ningxia holds significant implications for a proper understanding of the natural environmental history of the Loess Plateau and informs decision-making for its management.

The Cenozoic tectonic deformation and sedimentary processes in the arcuate tectonic belt along the northeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau have been influenced by the remote effect of the subduction of the Pacific Plate as well as controlled by the northeastward extension of the Tibetan Plateau. Determining the sedimentary age of the Cenozoic strata is an essential prerequisite for understanding these tectonic deformation and sedimentary processes. However, the sequence and depositional age of the Cenozoic strata in the arcuate tectonic belt is still controversial. This paper systematically studied the Paleoproterozoic to Neoproterozoic sedimentary sequences and stratigraphic ages in the arcuate tectonic belt. The results show that the sedimentary ages of the Sikouzi Formation, the Qingshuiying Formation, the Zhang'enbao Formation, and the Ganhegou Formation in the arcuate tectonic belt are the Middle to Late Oligocene, the Late Oligocene–Early Miocene, the Middle Miocene–Late Miocene, and the Late Miocene-Pliocene, respectively. We systematically analyzed the two unconformities of the Paleocene to Neoproterozoic and refined their formation age as well as geotectonic significance. The first unconformity developed between the Qingshuiying Formation and the Zhang'enbao Formation in the Early-Middle Miocene, which indicates the appearance of the remote effect caused by the northeastward extrusion of the Tibet Plateau at about Early Miocene. The second unconformity developed between the Zhang'enbao Formation and the Ganhegou Formation, which implies the summit of tectonic activities caused by the northeastward extrusion of the Tibet Plateau at about the Late Miocene. It is concluded that the Cenozoic basins have evolved through three stages based on the coupling relationship between the sedimentary process and the tectonic evolution. From the Middle Oligocene to the Early Miocene, the tectonic stress field of the arcuate tectonic belt was controlled by extension under the remote effect of the rollback of the subducted Pacific Plate. The tectonic stress field changed into compression under the effect of the northeastward extrusion of the Tibet Plateau from the Middle to Late Miocene; Significant and sustainable tectonic uplift developed in the arcuate tectonic belt from the Late Miocene to Pliocene, and the Cenozoic basins were divided by the strike-slip fault systems.

The ancient Fen River diversion was a crucial earth's surface transformation in the Yuncheng Basin during the Cenozoic. The time frame for the diversion of the ancient Fen River is still characterized by two views: the middle Pleistocene and the late Pleistocene, which has yet to be finalized. This study investigated the late Pleistocene sedimentary sequence of the Kaolao Tableland in the Yuncheng Basin, and the critical time frame of the sedimentary sequence transition was determined based on optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) dating results. The causes of the late Pleistocene sedimentary sequence of the Kaolao Tableland and the geological factors that controlled the sequence were analyzed using detrital zircon U–Pb isotope dating. It is concluded that the late Pleistocene sedimentary sequence of the Kaolao Tableland in the Yuncheng Basin is characterized by a two-layer structure, with fluvial sands in the lower part and eolian loess in the upper part. Based on the OSL dating results, the formation time of the boundary between these two parts is between ~76–63 ka B.P. Comparative analysis of detrital zircon age sequences indicates that the early Pleistocene fluvial sands in the Kaolao Tableland and sediments in the ancient Fen River have similar age sequence characteristics. Therefore, it can be deduced that the regional tectonic uplift of the northeastern Emei Terrace in the middle of the late Pleistocene resulted in the diversion and exit of the ancient Fen River from the Yuncheng Basin and the sedimentary facies began to change from fluvial to eolian. The tectonic uplift in the middle of the late Pleistocene extensively developed around the Ordos Basin, and that indicates a significant tectonic uplift of the Tibet Plateau during this time, whose remote effect might be the major cause for the exit of the ancient Fen River from the Yuncheng Basin. This research provides new sedimentary evidence for the time frame of the ancient Fen River diversion in the Yuncheng Basin.

The Fen–Wei graben system is an essential Cenozoic extensional fault–depression belt in the central part of the North China craton. Previous research achievements mainly focused on its formation process and dynamic mechanism, but the initial time has been unresolved due to the lack of quantitative dating objects. This paper first reports the granite porphyry dikes in the andesite of the Majiahe formation in the Xionger group of the Zhongtiaoshan orogenic belt adjacent to the Fen–Wei graben system. The dating results of the granite porphyry dikes indicate that the age sequence concentrates mainly in two stages, 1769.8 ± 8.7 Ma and 69.14 ± 0.85 Ma. The former is consistent with the primary age of the volcanic rocks of the Xionger group, representing the characteristics of inherited zircons, and the latter represents the formation age of the granite porphyry dikes. The Ga/Al value ratios of granite porphyry dikes of the Qifeng samples are all greater than 2.6, characterized by enriched silicon, alkali, potassium, depleted calcium, and high magnesium. The rare earth elements are enriched in light and depleted in heavy rare earth elements. The Qifeng granite porphyrite dikes are I-type granites, indicating that the tectonic setting is extensional. The research provides new evidence for the initial time of the southern part of Fenwei graben in the Cenozoic.

This paper summarized the nursing of integrated Traditional Chinese and western medicine for a patient with diabetic foot ulcer on the right foot. According to the different stage if wound healing, the Traditional Chinese Medicine external application therapy by syndrome differentiation was carried out to improve the debridement effect, help healthy tissue grow and minimize scarring. Based on the evidence-based nursing, individualized health education and nursing program were developed to improve the wound healing of the patient with diabetic foot ulcer. The precise age of the strata at the northeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau in the Paleogene-Neogene, and the initial time when the uplift of the Plateau affected its northeastern margin, have always been two main bone contentions among geologists. The Guanyindian section at the northeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau is our research subject. We gain new insights to the two mentioned issues by using detrital zircon U-Pb dating in combination with the previous results concerning regional paleontological fossil identification and paleomagnetic dating. The dating results show, among the samples from the upper Paleogene Qingshuiying formation at the northeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau, the youngest peak is 17.8 Ma. Two conclusions are drawn from the research results. Firstly, the deposition age of the Qingshui formation is from the late Oligecene to early Miocene, showing the characteristic of diachronism. Secondly, the northeastward extension and pushing of the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau has begun affecting the west of the Haiyuan-Liupanshan fault zone since the early Miocene with a coupling relationship among tectonics, sedimentation and climate in the area. The research findings provide a new time scale for determining the initial time when the northeastward pushing of the Tibetan Plateau began to affect its northeastern margin.

Background: Oxidative stress and the resultant hyperpermeability play a vital role in the pathogenesis of diabetic retinopathy (DR). Poldip2 has been implicated in H2O2 production, but the effects of capsaicin on poldip2 have not been reported. Methods: Diabetic Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats induced with STZ were treated with capsaicin or AAV9-poldip2-shRNA, and human retinal microvascular endothelial cells (HRMECs) were treated with capsaicin or poldip2 siRNA. Results: Current data indicated that the expression of PPARγ, poldip2, Nox4, VCAM-1, HIF-1α, and VEGF increased in rat retinas with DR and in HRMECs treated with high glucose. The production of ROS or H2O2 in the tissues, serum, and cells increased, and the paracellular permeability of cultured HRMECs with high glucose significantly increased. In addition, overt hyperpermeability of retinal microvessels and increased retinal neovascularization in diabetic rats were observed. However, capsaicin treatment inhibited these increases and suppressed the expression of PPARγ by enhancing its phosphorylation and ubiquitination in the retinas of DR rats. Poldip2 knockdown in HRMECs or its silencing in the retina of DR rats concomitantly led to reduced levels of Nox4, VCAM-1, HIF-1α, VEGF, ROS, and H2O2, and the paracellular permeability of HRMECs or the hyperpermeability of retinal microvessels in diabetic rat retinas decreased. Similarly, after PPARγ knockdown in HRMECs, poldip2, Nox4, HIF-1α, VEGF, ROS, and H2O2 decreased, and the monolayer paracellular permeability was reduced accordingly. Conclusion: Capsaicin may ameliorate diabetic retinopathy by activating TRPV1 and suppressing the PPARγ-poldip2-Nox4 pathway.

Uveitis is a disease resulting in the inflammation of uveal tracts, but the factors resulting in uveitis is still obscure. Previous studies have shown that miR-379-5p was involved in the pathogenesis of several diseases, however, the role and regulatory mechanism of miR-379-5p in uveitis were unclear. In our study, we established experimental autoimmune uveitis (EAU) mouse models to explore the role of miR-379-5p in uveitis. RT-qPCR identified that miR-379-5p level was increased in serum of EAU mice. In mechanism, SEMA3A 3’UTR was proven to be directly targeted by miR-379-5p and SEMA3A expression was negatively regulated by miR-379-5p in CD4+ T cells. Moreover, ELISA analysis revealed that knockdown of miR-379-5p suppressed the production of inflammation cytokines including IL-17, TNF-α and IL-β in vitro. These results were reversed by SEMA3A overexpression. In addition, the reduction of Th17 cells under miR-379-5p inhibitor was neutralised by SEMA3A knockdown in vitro. Furthermore, we demonstrated that knockdown of miR-379-5p significantly reversed the increased clinical scores and inflammatory response resulting from EAU treatment and this effect was further countervailed by SEMA3A silencing. Our study suggested that miR-379-5p aggravated uveitis in EAU mice via the regulation of SEMA3A, which may provide a novel insight for uveitis treatment.

Abstract Background Glucocorticoid-induced tumor necrosis factor receptor family-related protein ligand (GITRL) plays an important role in tumors, autoimmunity and inflammation. However, GITRL is not known to modulate the pathogenesis of allergic asthma. In this study, we investigated whether regulating GITRL expressed on dendritic cells (DCs) can prevent asthma and to elucidate its mechanism of action. Methods In vivo, the role of GITRL in modulating house dust mite (HDM)-induced asthma was assessed in adeno-associated virus (AAV)-shGITRL mice. In vitro, the role of GITRL expression by DCs was evaluated in LV-shGITRL bone marrow dendritic cells (BMDCs) under HDM stimulation. And the direct effect of GITRL was observed by stimulating splenocytes with GITRL protein. The effect of regulating GITRL on CD4+ T cell differentiation was detected. Further, GITRL mRNA in the peripheral blood of asthmatic children was tested. Results GITRL was significantly increased in HDM-challenged mice. In GITRL knockdown mice, allergen-induced airway inflammation, serum total IgE levels and airway hyperresponsiveness (AHR) were reduced. In vitro, GITRL expression on BMDCs was increased after HDM stimulation. Further, knocking down GITRL on DCs partially restored the balance of Th1/Th2 and Th17/Treg cells. Moreover, GITRL stimulation in vitro inhibited Treg cell differentiation and promoted Th2 and Th17 cell differentiation. Similarly, GITRL mRNA expression was increased in the peripheral blood from asthmatic children. Conclusions This study identified a novel role for GITRL expressed by DCs as a positive regulator of CD4+ T cells responses in asthma, which implicates that GITRL inhibitors may be a potential immunotherapy for asthma.

Diabetic foot refers to the foot with a constellation of pathologic changes affecting the lower extremity in diabetics, often leading to amputation and/or death due to complications such as infection, ulceration and destruction of deep tissue. A project of Traditional Chinese Medicine nursing clinics for diabetic foot was officially approved in October, 2017, and a combination of evidence-based nursing by Best Practice in the Assessment and Management of Diabetic Foot Ulcers and Traditional Chinese Medicine nursing techniques was generated for the nursing and health education interventions on target patients. Abstract Background Currently, there are no circulating diagnostic biomarkers for gastric neuroendocrine neoplasms (g-NENs). In previous studies, we found that miRNA-202-3p is overexpressed in the tumour tissue of type 1 g-NEN. We speculated that miRNA-202-3p is also likely to be highly expressed in circulating blood. Methods A total of 27 patients with type 1 g-NEN and 27 age- and sex-matched control participants were enrolled in this study. The miRNA-202-3p levels in serum obtained from the participants were measured by qRT‐PCR. The expression level of miRNA-202-3p in the samples was calculated by comparison with a standard curve. Results The clinical characteristics of the patients were similar to those of the patient samples in previous reports. Expression of miRNA-202-3p was significantly higher in the patient group (3.84 × 107 copies/nl) than in the control group (0.635 × 107 copies/nl). The area under the ROC curve (AUC) was 0.878 (95% CI: 0.788–0.968), and the optimal cut-off point was approximately 1.12 × 107 copies/nl. The sensitivity and specificity were 88.9% and 77.8%, respectively. Conclusion This study suggests that miRNA-202-3p is potentially useful as a biomarker of type 1 g-NEN; further investigation and verification should be performed in future research.
