Climate change is predicted to result in elevational and latitudinal shifts in species distributions. Among different taxa, high-elevation specialist species are likely to suffer the greatest impact from climate change due to the limited ability to track their niches. Although much work has been undertaken on predicting the effects of climate change on the range contraction/expansion of mountain species, one important but fairly neglected issue is to consider the impacts of non-climate data in the projections of Species Distribution Models (SDMs). We evaluated the degree to which incorporating non-climatic data into climate-based SDMs would change the predicted vulnerability of the Caspian Snowcock (Tetraogallus caspius), a poorly known high-elevation specialist species, to climate change. We first optimized the MaxEnt model for the current species distribution using: (1) only climatic variables; and, (2) both climatic and non-climatic data. We then projected the optimized model for two future time periods under different climate scenarios. Finally, we calculated differences in the mean elevation and lower and upper range limits for the species. We predicted that with changing climatic conditions, Caspian Snowcock will undergo significant elevational and some latitudinal shifts in its distribution and will face a drastic decrease in suitable habitat in the next 50 years. Including non-climatic data in the models increased model performance and resulted in reduced predictions of habitat loss under future climate scenarios. Terrain roughness was the most important predictor in this model, suggesting that more complex topography will retain favourable microclimates for the species in the future. The results thus highlight the importance of including topographic variables in climate-based SDMs. Our findings can guide biodiversity managers in prioritizing protected areas and adopting proactive measures to mitigate the negative impacts of climate change.

Abstract 5-methoxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine (5-MeO-DMT) is a potent classical psychedelic known to induce changes in locomotion, behaviour, and sleep in rodents. However, there is limited knowledge regarding its acute neurophysiological effects. Local field potentials (LFPs) are commonly used as a proxy for neural activity, but previous studies investigating psychedelics have been hindered by confounding effects of behavioural changes and anaesthesia, which alter these signals. To address this gap, we investigated acute LFP changes in the hippocampus (HP) and medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) of freely behaving rats, following 5-MeO-DMT administration. 5-MeO-DMT led to an increase of delta power and a decrease of theta power in the HP LFPs, which could not be accounted for by changes in locomotion. Furthermore, we observed a dose-dependent reduction in slow (20–50 Hz) and mid (50–100 Hz) gamma power, as well as in theta phase modulation, even after controlling for the effects of speed and theta power. State map analysis of the spectral profile of waking behaviour induced by 5-MeO-DMT revealed similarities to electrophysiological states observed during slow-wave sleep (SWS) and rapid-eye-movement (REM) sleep. Our findings suggest that the psychoactive effects of classical psychedelics are associated with the integration of waking behaviours with sleep-like spectral patterns in LFPs.

In recent years, many electroencephalogram (EEG) devices have become portable and wireless. Given the requirements for mobility, EEG instruments need to be smaller, lighter, and power-efficient with reduced noise and offset. An EEG signal is very weak and its amplitude ranging is from 20 to 200 µV and its frequency ranges from 0.1 to 100 Hz. Besides, the skin-electrode interface creates a large DC offset voltage which can be in the order of ±300 mV. These two challenges can disturb the main signal and reduce the detection accuracy. At the input of amplification section of many EEG circuits, the chopping technique has been applied to convert DC input signals into AC signals. The main transconductance amplifier as EEG instrumentation amplifier (IA) in most of the previous works is the folded cascode amplifier. In this paper, we proposed a circuit which designed in 0.18 CMOS technology and its amplifier is a two-stage fully recycling chopper stabilized folded cascode amplifier that operates at low supply voltage and its input-referred noise is decreased by enhancing transconductance while it has a large slew rate, a high DC gain and an improved gain bandwidth. These features significantly decrease the noise and offset without a considerable increase in the power required by the circuit. In the post-layout simulation the amplifier achieves a midband gain of 60 dB and a -3dB bandwidth in the range of 0.1-210 Hz. the chip area with pads is 512×512 μm2. The adjustable LPF has a 100 Hz cut-off frequency.

The purpose of this research was to study the perception of intermediate PFL learners on the effects of blended learning on their Persian grammar and vocabulary knowledge. The purpose of blended learning, or the use of various experimental materials, is to properly mix traditional and regular educational materials of face-to-face classes with modern technology. The statistical population of the research was all PFL (Persian as a Foreign Language) learners in Iran who were involved in Persian learning. 60 intermediate PFL learners studying Persian in different institutes in Tehran participated in this research. They were randomly divided into two groups namely the control group (= 30 learners) and the experimental or distant group (30 learners). It was based on non-random sampling due to the impossibility of total randomization. Prior to the experiment, based on a quasi-experimental approach, the participants were homogenized in terms of grammar and vocabulary. After the experiment, a posttest including grammar and vocabulary was administered to the same population. The outcome of the research illustrated that the blended learning setting has an outstanding effect on the learners’ knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. The results of the MANOVA test indicated that the blended or experimental group had a better performance in grammar and vocabulary as compared to the control or distant group. Furthermore, the analysis of learners’ responses to the questionnaire showed that they all had a positive viewpoint towards blended learning. However, the experimental group had a better and more positive view towards it. The results could be beneficial to researchers, teachers, and linguists.

IntroductionThe name is a part of the human identity chosen for the baby under the influence of various factors. Generally, others take a name at birth or before that. But in literary works, the author selects a name for the hero based on the subject and his discretion. Based on different reasons, authors choose a non-native name for their heroes. The names of literary characters are very diverse and numerous; depending on the type of incident, moral characteristics, and the role of the hero in the works made up by the author, they can borrow from different nations, get some religious roots, or follow a certain literary current, Etc. By naming heroes, the author gives identity and human life to them. Exploring the naming issue will make you more familiar with the idea of literary work. MethodologyThis study has done by descriptive analysis method and using library research. The present study is very immodest to comprehend and understand the characters of heroes in literary works through understanding their names. The purpose of this study is to answer the questions like: "What is the reason for choosing Eastern names by Russian writers in their works?", "What is the reason for choosing Russian names in Persian literary works?" and "What is the basis of choosing the names of heroes in Persian and Russian works, including the works of Anton Chekhov, Nikolay Gumilyov, and Bozorg Alavi?". DiscussionThe present study will explain why the heroes are named in some Russian and Persian literary works and will help to comprehend the works of Russian and Iranian poets and authors by expressing new opinions. The names of literary characters are very diverse and numerous. Reasons for choosing a non-native name can vary. For instance, after the evolution of 1941 in Iran, the intellectual community, besides following political and social currents, was heavily influenced by Western and Russian translations. Authors, especially those who have lived for some time in a foreign country, based on their interest, picked a non-native name for their heroes in stories; we can mention the non-native names of the heroes (Babushka, Marfinka, Margerita) in the works of Bozorg Alavi. The transition period and currents after September 1941 had a superior impact on the hero name chosen in Persian literature, especially in the works of Bozorg Alavi. Due to his political tendencies, thoughts and ideas, association with Russians, and interest in Russian literature, Bozorg Alavi was able to create works that make you feel the atmosphere of Russian and Western society, so naturally, taking Russian names for heroes helped him in this matter. The presence of heroes with a Russian name, Russian originality or growth by Soviet Union rules, also references to the works of two famous Russian writers (Pushkin and Dostoevsky) indicate Alavi's great interest and enthusiasm toward Russian literature. There is a connection between the name and heroes’ characteristics, and also the purpose and reason for choosing such a name by the author, by identifying the reasons for using a non-native name in his works. Living abroad and reading foreign authors' literary works in the original language, particularly Russian, helped him create a new style of fiction writing. This issue also happens in Russian literature. In the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, Russian writers and poets, like Europeans, paid attention to the culture and literature of the Eastern countries, especially Iran, which is why Eastern names often were found in their works. For example, Twentieth-century writer and poet Nikolai Gumilyov also created works wherein he gave his heroes non-native names (Hafez, Darvish, Peri) due to his travels to Eastern countries and his acquaintance with Iranian poets. Gomilyov's interest in Eastern and Persian literature is due to his frequent traveling to some Eastern countries and his association with the poets and writers of the Bashnya (Dome) in Saint Petersburg; these interests led him to create Eastern-based work and use Eastern names and mythological characters. Choosing the Eastern name in his works indicates his interest in Eastern mysticism. ConclusionAs previously mentioned, the transition period and currents after September 1941 had a superior impact on the heroes’ name choices in Persian literature, especially in the works of Bozorg Alavi. Thus, the most influential factors in taking the non-native name for the heroes are political and social currents, as well as the tendency and interest of authors in the literature and culture of the "Foreign".

The reduction of traditional fuel sources and the unpredictability of the global economy have led to a push for renewable energy alternatives. Waste recycling can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In this study, the effects of different proportions of biochar on the efficiency of mesophilic anaerobic digestion of automotive paint sludge were investigated over a period of one month. A combination of paint sludge and anaerobic sludge in a ratio of three to one was used, and biochar was added to the anaerobic digestion reactor in two different amounts of 10 and 26 g/l, with a control sample without biochar. The cumulative volume of biogas produced at the end of the one-month experiment was recorded for three samples: the control sample (without biochar), the second sample (with 2 g of biochar), and the third sample (with 5.2 g of biochar). The volumes of biogas produced were 300, 380, and 530 ml, respectively. Additionally, the COD reduction rates were 25%, 33%, and 48%, and the VS decrement rates were 21%, 27%, and 43%, respectively. The findings showed that adding biochar to the anaerobic digestion reactor containing automotive paint sludge increased biogas production. Additionally, gas chromatography results for an optimal sample of biogas extracted from the anaerobic digestion reactor indicated the presence of about 50% methane gas. These results highlight the potential for utilizing biochar in anaerobic digestion processes to improve renewable energy production and waste management.

Abstract Following cervical and uterine cancer, ovarian cancer (OC) has the third rank in gynecologic cancers. It often remains non-diagnosed until it spreads throughout the pelvis and abdomen. Identification of the most effective risk factors can help take prevention measures concerning OC. Therefore, the presented review aims to summarize the available studies on OC risk factors. A comprehensive systematic literature search was performed to identify all published systematic reviews and meta-analysis on associated factors with ovarian cancer. Web of Science, Cochrane Library databases, and Google Scholar were searched up to 17th January 2020. This study was performed according to Smith et al. methodology for conducting a systematic review of systematic reviews. Twenty-eight thousand sixty-two papers were initially retrieved from the electronic databases, among which 20,104 studies were screened. Two hundred seventy-seven articles met our inclusion criteria, 226 of which included in the meta-analysis. Background: The design and development of functional learning materials should be based on individual, family, group, and social characteristics and needs, to ultimately lead an independent life.Given the problems of reading in the slow paced of students with Down syndrome, can the use of functional reading text improve their reading skills? Aims: The aim of this study was survey the effectiveness of Instruction Functional reading texts on accuracy, speed and reading comprehension skills of slow paced of students with Down syndrome. Method: This is a quasi-experimental study (pretest-posttest with one group). Six slow-paced students with Down syndrome studying in special schools in Qom were selected by convenience sampling method. The sample group participated of 81 session of 20 minutes researcher-made functional reading texts education program(2018) and sample group evaluated in the pre-test and post-test stages by the researcher-made reading test(2018).To analyze the data SPSS-19 software and paired T-TEST ere employed.Results: The results showed that Instruction Functional reading texts has led to an increase in the mean scores of the accuracy, speed and reading comprehension skills of slow-paced students with Down syndrome compared to the pre-test(p< 0/05). Conclusions: Therefore, it can be argued that Instruction Functional reading texts is an effective way to improve the reading skills of students with Down syndrome.

A circuit with a low-power low-noise amplifier and a Gm-C ultra-low-power filter is proposed in this paper for portable electroencephalogram (EEG) acquisition applications. The proposed circuit contains a two-stage chopper-stabilized fully recycling folded cascode (TSRFC) amplifier and a second-order continuous-time Gm-C low pass filter (LPF) with ultra-low-power consumption. The noise and input offset are reduced using the chopper-stabilized technique. A two-stage amplifier that consists of composite transistors and a recycling structure is proposed for the amplifier. Compared to a typical folded cascode CMOS amplifier, the proposed design has higher DC gain and slew rate as well as lower input-referred noise. This circuit has an adjustable second-order Gm-C LPF with very low power consumption. The amplifier achieves a midband gain of 70 dB and a −3dB bandwidth in the range 0.1–212 Hz. Moreover, the amplifier is designed in 0.18- $\mu \text{m}$ CMOS process and the chip area of the proposed circuit with pads is $450\times 450\,\,\mu \text{m}^{2}$ . The adjustable LPF has a 100 Hz cut-off frequency. The proposed circuit has an input-referred noise of $0.7~\mu $ Vrms, (0.1 ~ 100Hz) and a power consumption of 380 nW at 1 V supply.

Background & Objective: Little attention has been paid to generating systematic evidencebased qualitative approaches to effective education This study aimed to explore postgraduate students and mentors view points experiences and perceptions about effective education and its related factors in Kerman University of Medical Sciences Iran Methods: In this qualitative study using content analysis method and purposive sampling 32 postgraduate students and 7 mentors were recruited An interview guide was used to collect data through focus groups via indepth interviews After obtaining verbal informed consent data were recorded transcribed and analyzed using content analysis method To ensure validity of the data the acceptability and confirmability criteria were utilized Results: Two main themes were extracted from the viewpoint of postgraduate students and the mentors the direct and indirect factors related to effective education Direct factors included the factors related to student mentor educational environment and motivation Indirect factors were national educational system evaluation system for students and economic factors Conclusion: Both postgraduate students and mentors believe that effective education is a complex issue and macrofactors such as educational system and microones such as mentors and students characteristics are important In addition there is inconsistency in students and the mentors perception about the roles of the other one mentors believe that this is the responsibility of the students to learn and be selfmotivated while the students mentione that this is mainly the mentor responsibility This is an important topic which should be considered for planning effective education

Abstract Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the effects of chlorhexidine, quercetin, and α‐tocopherol on the shear bond strength of universal adhesives in the short (24h) and long term (6 months). Material and Methods Ninety‐six extracted sound molars were collected and divided randomly into four groups: control (no treatment), 2% chlorhexidine, 10% α‐tocopherol, and 1% quercetin. The solutions were prepared and applied to the teeth for 60 s, followed by application of All‐Bond universal adhesive and composite build‐up. Half of the specimens in each group (n = 12) were tested for shear bond strength (SBS) after 24 h of storage and the other half were kept in distilled water for 6 months and then tested for shear bond strength. The shear bond strength test was performed and the failure modes were determined using a stereomicroscope. The data were analyzed using two‐way analysis of variance and Tukey's post hoc tests with p ˂ .05 as the significance level. Results The results of the two‐way analysis of variance test showed that there was no significant difference in immediate SBS, and after 6 months, α‐tocopherol had the lowest SBS in comparison to the control and CHX subgroups (p

Abstract Objective This study aimed to evaluate and compare the impacts of the postbleaching application of sodium ascorbate, alpha‐tocopherol, and quercetin on the shear bond strength (SBS) of composite resin. Material and Methods 60 extracted intact maxillary first premolars were collected and were randomly divided into five experimental groups as follows (n=12): Group A (negative control): no bleaching, Group B (positive control): bleaching with 40% hydrogen peroxide (HP), Group C: HP±10% sodium ascorbate for 10min, Group D: HP±10% alpha‐tocopherol for 10min, and Group E: HP±1% quercetin for 10min. Composite bonding was done immediately after bleaching for Groups B‐E and without any treatment for Group A. After being stored in distilled water at room temperature for 24h, all specimens were tested for SBS in the universal testing machine. One‐way analysis of variance and Tukey's post‐hoc test were used to analyze the SBS values of all groups. Results The results showed that the bonding of composite to the unbleached group exhibited the highest mean value of SBS (22.68±2.91MPa). The purpose of this study was to evaluate the performance of a resin-modified glass ionomer cement (RMGIC) to which bacterial cellulose nanocrystals (BCNs) were added. BCNs were incorporated into the RMGIC powder in ratios of 0.3%, 0.5%, and 1% (w/w). One control and three experimental groups were enrolled in the study: unmodified RMGIC (control), 0.3% (w/w) BCN-modified RMGIC, 0.5% (w/w) BCN-modified RMGIC, and 1% (w/w) BCN-modified RMGIC. The surface hardness and surface roughness were the parameters assessed. The materials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The data were analyzed using the one-way ANOVA and Kruskal–Wallis tests for surface hardness and roughness, respectively. The addition of BCN resulted in the improvement of surface roughness in all the specimens compared with the control material. The RMGIC modified by 1% (w/w) BCN showed the lowest surface roughness (decreased by 52%) among all tested groups. However, BCN had a negative effect on the surface hardness of RMGIC. The group with 0.3% (w/w) BCN had the least decrease in microhardness (13%). According to the results, the RMGIC group modified by 1% (w/w) BCN had a smoother surface than the other groups. The surface microhardness of the RMGIC decreased after BCNs were added to it.
