Despite borrower disloyalty being a concern, path decisions must still be analysed. Using the switching path analysis technique, this study analysed the triggers, determinants, and consequences of borrower switching. A non-probability sampling method was employed for this analysis. Specifically, snowball sampling was used to collect data because of limited access to Indonesian peer-to-peer lending (P2P) borrowers in borrower lending groups. Snowball sampling was used to recruit more P2P lending borrowers in Indonesia. The sampling method included 31 participants. The findings revealed the following: (1) triggers (situational, influential, and reactional); (2) switching determinants (push, pull, and swayer); and (3) consequences of switching (ir-path or re-path). This study contributes to the service literature by providing a sequential process lens to address how borrowers switch or stop with one P2P lending provider. The findings provide practitioners with data that will allow them to learn how borrowers switch and prevent them from switching.

Le risque de crédit et sa gestion représentent une question préoccupante et de survie pour la majorité des institutions financières. Cette étude vise à évaluer les facteurs déterminants du risque de crédit en mettant en relation les ratios financiers et le risque de crédit mesuré par le portefeuille à risque. L’analyse a porté sur une approche quantitative déclinée autour de 12 ISFDs opérant au Sud-Kivu pour une période allant de 2011 à 2020. Les résultats de la régression des données de panel montrent que sur les 12 variables mobilisées pour mesurer l’impact du risque de crédit sur la santé des ISFDs, quatre ont présenté un effet significatif sur le portefeuille à risque. Il s’agit d’une part, des ratios de financement des immobilisations et de liquidité à long terme qui ont présenté un effet positif et significatif au seuil de 5% et du ratio de capitalisation qui a un effet positif et significatif au seuil de 1%. D’autre part, l’autosuffisance opérationnelle présente un effet négatif et significatif au seuil de 1%. Les résultats ont permis de conclure, par ailleurs, que d’autres variables ont une influence non significative sur le portefeuille à risque. Et qu’il est possible de proposer quelques mécanismes de réduction du taux élevé de risque lié au portefeuille de crédit.

Despite the growth of Islamic banking and finance, in recent times due attention were given to the issue of Islamic microfinance. It is so because, as per various estimates over two billion people across globe are still living in a miserable poverty which is a global challenge and India not being an exception. Since the Poverty remains, a continuous challenge throughout the human history so as the efforts to overcome poverty. Among various efforts a conventional micro finance a “new model” received global recognition and a hope. But even if successful stories in bringing development and eradicating poverty by small credit tool to poor and by gaining growing attentions by world bank , still millennium development goal remains unachieved. The critics’ remains not only restricted to, in reaching all forms of poor rather high unbearable interest rates and avoidance by Muslims due to interest are on debate. As an alternative, Islamic finance has its operations both in Islamic and Non-Islamic countries along Islamic Micro finance. It is so because Islamic microfinance programs are complement to Islamic banking, both in ideological and in practical terms. Although IMF is still in infancy stage even though growing rapidly. Various experiments either on individual level or group level are mostly practicing Islamic micro credit products. But Islamic micro crediting has not been yet formally reached to people for India. Therefore this study aims to investigate the prospects based on determinants. The target population has been taken a potential benifacries of interest free micro finance. The paper adopts a Quantifiable approach as a Questionnaire distributed in paper format based on stratified sampling with 602 as final responses. The findings shows that in general the community is cognizant of the various terms used in Interest free microfinance but in respects of products/services existing by Islamic microfinance institutes, it indicates the level of awareness is very low.

Micro finance in India has developed in decades from an idea to implementation to many success stories to an overall success. The early dawn of the idea of micro financing was to provide the capital to the population which was considered the bottom of socio economic pyramid so as to carry out the small household business and this idea has gradually grown up to become the way to help improve the socio standards of the poor people. India is the country of villages, more than 70% of the nation’s population resides in the rural areas of the country and 60% of this rural population depends on agriculture for living. In such situation the micro financing can play a vital role in making the rural people’s life easy. In a developing country like India with a lot of people residing in rural areas, micro finance is undoubtedly the best implementation. Self Help Groups of India has emerged as the world’s largest and most successful network of Community Based Organisations. The main goal of an SHG is to elevate the living conditions of the rural poor with a maximum emphasize on women. The present paper’s objective is to explain the situation of micro finance in India and to explain the main channel of micro finance in India which is SHGs and the details of the SHGs.

Although the roles of women have evolved with the urbanizing world, conventional house designs have failed to accommodate the spatial needs of the contemporary woman. The majority of houses in Pakistani cities are owned, designed, and constructed by the male head of the family. After surveying forty houses in Lahore, it was revealed that there are issues of hygiene and privacy for women, who are usually ignored in the process of building homes. This is the case despite the fact that they are the primary users, who spend most of their time at home, either as housewives and/or as entrepreneurs running a business from home. Presently, there are numerous NGOs in Pakistan working towards women entrepreneurship but there is a disconnect between entrepreneurship, Islamic traditional values and empowerment. This paper will try to build an assembly for women empowerment through the outcomes of entrepreneurship and their involvement in household decisions based on Islamic traditional values.

Despite the many advantages that mobile money offers to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) relative to traditional banking services, the majority of stakeholders of this platform have not yet maximised its use owing to several concerns not limited to trust, awareness, and even cost. To examine the factors justifying the adoption and usage of Mobile Money Services (MMS) among SMEs, the types of Mobile Money Services used by these SMEs, and the interdependences between these variables, this study adopted an exploratory approach. The researchers elected to use a mixed-method approach, which necessitated the usage of a survey questionnaire and structured in-depth interviews. Representatives of 12 SMEs were interviewed during the qualitative phase to corroborate the 285 SMEs surveyed in the quantitative part of the study. Descriptive and inferential statistics were adopted to analyse the quantitative data using the Statistical Packages for Social Sciences version 26 (SPSS version 26). The researchers described the qualitative data according to themes, and the findings were combined after that. While no single factor was accountable, it emerged that accessibility, safety, and convenience were the main factors that entice SMEs in Douala, Cameroon to embrace mobile money services in the effort to receive money from clienteles, pay suppliers, and purchase airtime for additional transactions (most preferred mobile money services). Furthermore, it was found that there was a statistically significant association between most of the motivating factors cited and the most preferred mobile money services used by SMEs in Douala. These findings validate the role that mobile money plays in promoting the inclusive finance agenda for SMEs, mainly in the context of emerging economies where the majority of people and businesses do not have access to banking services and therefore may be of interest to policymakers and different stakeholders. Furthermore, an identification of the types of mobile money services businesspersons mostly use in Douala, a business hub, may help to develop businesses by directing the stakeholders to agenda items of interest in the context of Cameroon.

Micro finance involves the provision of micro-credit, savings, and other services to the poor that are excluded by the commercial banks for collateral and other reasons. Microfinance is relatively new to Ethiopia and came to existence during 1994-95. Out of which Sidama Micro Finance Institution (SMFI) is one among 31Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs) to serve needy people in Ethiopia. Based on this researchers’ intended to study major socio- economic factors and loan related factors that determines loan repayment performance of borrowers in SMFI. In fact, the identifying and analyzing such determining factors of loan repayment rate is vital in the achievement of profitability and sustainability of MFIs. In this connection, researchers’ collected data from primary and secondary resources and analyzed by using Binary logistic model is used. Through the study 14 determinants’ are selected for evaluation, out of which 9 variables are significant and remaining insignificant are found. Based on the analysis, researchers are recommended that proper training should be provided, reasonable amount of loan which should be useful to their business. Further, more age people and well business experience people can able to repay their loan amount` timely to micro finance institution.

This paper reports on the findings of an exploratory research whose main purpose was to investigate the impact of micro finance institutions on the socio economic lives of Zimbabweans. The study sought to establish whether micro finance empowers the poor and reduces poverty. The study was conducted through the use of eighty questionnaires randomly distributed to clients of five micro finance institutions. The study revealed that there is a positive relationship between microcredit and the socio economic lives of people. It was found out that the activities of microfinance institutions resulted in increased social interaction and socio economic sustainability.

Notre conception de la pauvreté est influencée par notre façon de la mesurer. Pour les économistes, la pauvreté se mesure bien souvent par le biais de chiffres issus de longues enquêtes représentatives. Les enquêtes donnent une vue d'ensemble, mais elles privilégient le nombre de données collectées au détriment de la profondeur de l’analyse. Les enquêtes économiques classiques sont limitées par leur incapacité à mettre en lumière l'activité informelle et, bien qu'elles révèlent les revenus annuels des familles, elles en apprennent bien peu sur leur mode de vie. Les journaux financiers annuels offrent une autre perception de la pauvreté, en mettant l'accent sur les choix et les défis qui se présentent de semaine en semaine. Ils permettent ainsi de mieux cerner la pauvreté et sa relation avec l'argent, en se concentrant davantage sur l’accès aux services financiers et en proposant une notion plus large de l'importance du financement.
