Communication technology is crucial for projecting a positive image, being competitive, and maintaining a company's market reputation. The TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) is a theoretical paradigm that explains how humans embrace and use technology. According to the concept, individual perceptions of a technology's ease of use and utility are primary drivers of its acceptance. To carry out their jobs, professionals in the telecommunications business may use a variety of communication technologies, such as email, instant messaging, video conferencing, and collaboration tools. Acceptance of these communications’ technology may have a significant impact on job performance since they promote internal communication and cooperation, boost productivity, and allow for remote work. The goal of this study is to investigate the relationship between acceptance of communication technology and job performance among telecommunications professionals. As a result, this study incorporates two key components of technology acceptance model (TAM): perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease-of-use (PE) (PEU). This study employed the quantitative method, which comprised an onlinebased questionnaire given to telecommunications professionals. According to the research, the use of communication technology has a substantial effect on job performance. As a consequence, the findings of this study may be applied to increase employee performance on a daily basis.

This study investigates the disclosure level of sustainability report in telecommunication industry. This study specifically compares the disclosure level of companies in Indonesia and Malaysia using Global Reporting Initiative format template. The study compares the published reports between 2014 to 2016 periods. The results reveal that the disclosure level of sustainability reporting content for companies in both countries are in the intermediate level. Interestingly, our finding shows that companies in Indonesia disclose more content related to economy category. However, they disclose less on product-responsibility, environmental, and human rights categories compared to Malaysian companies. Furthermore, this study provides the investors an insight on how to monitor the disclosure level of the companies in both countries and highlight the demand of specific content to increase the contribution of the companies on specific sustainability issues.

There has been a growing concern about the influence of inclusive leadership on employee engagement in the telecommunications industry. The telecommunications industry is undergoing rapid technological advancements, leading to increased competition and pressure on employees. Creating an inclusive workplace in such a dynamic environment is essential to attracting and retaining talented professionals and driving eco-innovation for sustainable development in Industry 4.0. Despite the importance of inclusive leadership, there is dearth of studies exploring the influence of inclusive leadership on employee engagement in the telecommunications industry. Hence, this study sought to examine the influence of inclusive leadership on employee engagement in selected telecommunication companies in Namibia. A qualitative approach was adopted, where face-to-face interviews were conducted using a semi-structured interview guide. The participants (22 executives) were selected for interviews from two telecommunication companies in Namibia using a purposive sampling method. Data collection involved recording and transcribing participant interviews using Microsoft Word. Thematic analysis was conducted using NVivo 20 software. Results show the importance of empathy and non-hierarchical leadership behaviour as the most critical factor influencing team engagement and discretionary effort in the telecommunications industry in Namibia. Meanwhile, clear career advancement pathways, work autonomy, cross-departmental collaboration, and supervisory support are major contributors to employee engagement for innovative performance and sustainability in the telecommunications industry.

Objective: (i) to adapt Aaker’s (1997) scale to measure brand personality in the Nigerian telecommunications market using the methodology identified by Avis (2012) to be the most stable in literature; (ii) to identify the traits that could be used in marketing communication in the telecommunications industry; (iii) to reveal the brand personality factors of the telecommunications industry. Method: The study used a mixed design and survey method to sample 700 consumers of the Nigerian telecommunications industry. Data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using inferential statistics. Main Results: Aaker’s (1997) scale was adapted to measure the brand personality in the Nigerian telecommunications industry and it measured six factors, namely, Sincere, Rugged, Sophistication, Competence, Innovative and Excitement.. Relevance/originality: The study provides local empirical evidence of the brand personality factors of the Nigerian telecommunication industry. The scale will be relevant in measuring the brand personality of other brands within the industry. Theoretical/Methodological contributions: The study supported the use of Aaker’s (1997) methodology in developing brand personality scales. The findings were consistent with terminology that could be used to describe brands in the industry. Social Contributions/For management: Managers of Nigerian telecommunication industry brands can make use of the traits identified in marketing communication in order to better present their brands.

Purpose: To survive, organizations must have a competitive advantage in order to stay ahead of the competition. Market innovation has remained the driving force behind most market expansions and stability in the turbulent nature of global economies. This study sought to establish the influence of market innovation on the competitive advantage of telecommunication companies in Kenya. Design/Method/Approach: Using the philosophy of positivism, the study adopted an explanatory research design in testing the hypothesis. The main data collection instrument was a structured questionnaire using both physical conduct and online interactions to return 247 responses from mid and top level managers in a total of 26 active telecommunications companies in Kenya. The study used both descriptive and inferential statistics using SPSS computer application to analyze the data. Findings: From the study findings, it was established that innovative distribution channels significantly influenced the competitive advantage while advertising and promotions did not have a significant influence. This led to the conclusion that market innovation has a significant influence on the competitive advantage of telecommunication companies in Kenya. Practical implications: The study recommends that telecommunication companies need to form collaborations and partnerships for ease of establishing market distribution channels that have indicated to bring influence onto the competitive advantage of the companies. Other recommendations include a wider coverage of the East African market for the telecommunications sector. The study provides insights into new companies with interest in the region. Originality/Value: From the results marketing and promotions are not the only major contributing factor in the competitive advantage but the channels of distribution. Research limitations/Future research: The study faced limitations on having to visit the field during the COVID-19 pandemic period thus encountering the restrictions of entry into premises. All protocols were observed to overcome that obstacle. Some of the telecommunications companies were facing difficulties in operations and hence could not participate. Paper type: empirical

Previous studies have shown that business performance is mostly determined by the ability of a company to create competitive advantage. However, the rapid changes in technology, markets, regulations and hypercompetition have made the business environment increasingly uncertain and unpredictable so that it can erode competitive advantage. This phenomenon is known as the turbulence of business environment and can cause a company to have difficulty maintaining its competitive advantage so that it is very interesting to study further. The purpose of this study is to understand how the turbulence of business environment occurs in the telecommunications industry in Indonesia. The study involved 213 leaders of business units of telecommunications operators in Indonesia as research respondents. The research methods used are descriptive survey and explanatory survey using component-based structural modeling, Partial Least Square-Path Modeling (PLS-PM). The results of the study showed that the telecommunications industry in Indonesia has experienced high turbulence of business environment, caused mainly by competitive turbulence. However, it was found that the technological turbulence and the market turbulence have contributed the most dominant to the occurrence of turbulence business environment in telecommunication industry. This study also discussed the problem solving of the business environment turbulence and recommendations for the sustainability of the telecommunications industry in Indonesia.*****Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran bagaimana turbulensi lingkungan bisnis yang terjadi pada industri telekomunikasi di Indonesia. Penelitian melibatkan pimpinan unit bisnis penyelenggara telekomunikasi sebagai responden penelitian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode descriptive survey dan explanatory survei menggunakan pemodelan struktural berbasis komponen yaitu Partial Least Square-Path Modelling (PLS-PM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa industri penyelenggaraan telekomunikasi di Indonesia mengalami gejolak turbulensi lingkungan bisnis yang tinggi, disebabkan terutama oleh turbulensi lingkungan kompetisi. Meskipun demikian, ditemukan bahwa sesungguhnya turbulensi lingkungan teknologi dan turbulensi lingkungan pasar yang berkontribusi paling dominan terhadap terjadinya turbulensi lingkungan bisnis pada industri telekomunikasi. Dalam penelitian ini juga dibahas pemecahan masalah turbulensi lingkungan bisnis tersebut dan rekomendasinya bagi keberlangsungan industri telekomunikasi di Indonesia.

Dari analisis deskriptif, diperoleh bahwa keunggulan bersaing penyelenggara telekomunikasi di Indonesia termasuk dalam kategori baik dan lebih banyak dibangun melalui efisiensi produk, terutama efisiensi yang lebih tinggi dalam menghasilkan produk atau layanan.Namun demikian, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecepatan respon pasar memiliki kontribusi yang lebih dominan dalam menciptakan keunggulan bersaing yang superior pada lingkungan bisnis yang bergejolak. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, penyelenggara telekomunikasi di Indonesia perlu meningkatkan kemampuannya,terutama dalam menciptakan respon yang lebih cepat untuk memasuki pasar-pasar baru serta menghasilkan produk atau layanan dengan biaya yang lebih rendah. This study aims to describe the competitive advantage of the telecommunications provider and explore how to create a superior competitive advantage in the turbulent business environment. The study involved many leaders of business units of telecommunications operators in Indonesia as research respondents. The research uses descriptive survey and explanatory survey using Partial Least Square-Path Modeling (PLS-PM). From the descriptive analysis, it is found that the competitive advantage of telecommunications operators in Indonesia belongs to the excellent category, and was built more through product cost-efficiency, especially higher efficiency in producing products or services. However, the results of the study show that market responsiveness turned out to have a more dominant contribution in creating a superior competitive advantage in a turbulent business environment. Thus, the competitive advantage is still not optimal. To solve this problem, the telecommunications provider in Indonesia needs to increase the ability to quickly enter new markets and produce products or services at a lower cost.

Network function virtualization has become an important trend in the global development of telecommunications industry，with the rapid development of network function virtualization and rapid growth of the telecommunications business，analysis and processing of data is too large to deal with，its problems such as low efficiency of fault analysis and processing have become increasingly prominent.For the increasingly urgent development needs of network function virtualization，fault analysis and processing method based on improved intelligent optimization algorithm is important for the rapid and sustainable development of network function virtualization.Based on the research of the convention mechanism of fault analysis and processing for network function virtualization，a method of fault analysis and processing for network function virtualization based on improved intelligent optimization algorithm was presented，it could solve the existing problems of fault analysis and processing for network function virtualization better.

ENGLISH ABSTRACT: In 2010 Botha, Kruger & De Vries [5] introduced a framework for enhancing customer experience through improved business processes. They developed the Enhanced Customer Experience Framework (ECEF) by integrating various well-known techniques into one comprehensive framework. The ECEF incorporates three well-known tools: quality function deployment (QFD), business process re-engineering, and simulation. QFD is used to determine the relationship beween business processes and customer requirements, and to prioritise business processes from a customer perspective. Business Process Re-engineering (BPR), together with the steps associated with benchmarking, provides a useful process that may be followed when re-engineering business processes to fit customer needs; while simulation modelling is used to test the impact of process improvements on customer experience. This paper aims partially to validate the ECEF against empirical data obtained from the telecommunications industry.AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING ’n Raamwerk om kliënte-ervaring te verbeter deur die herontwerp van besigheidsprosesse is in 2010 deur Botha, Kruger & De Vries [5] bekendgestel. Die verbeterde-kliënte-ervaring-raamwerk is ontwikkel deur welbekende tegnieke te integreer tot een omvattende raamwerk. Die verbeterde-kliënte-ervaring-raamwerk inkorporeer bekende tegnieke soos gehalte-funksie-ontplooiing, besigheidsprosesherontwerp en simulasiemodelering. Gehaltefunksie-ontplooiing word gebruik om die verhouding tussen besigheidsprosesse en kliëntebehoeftes te bepaal, asook om die prosesse te prioritiseer vanaf ’n kliëntperspektief. Besigheids-prosesherontwerp tesame met die stappe geassosieer met die gebruik van ’n verwysings-norm, bied ’n bruikbare proses wat gevolg kan word om besigheids prosesse te herontwerp om aan kliëntebehoeftes te voldoen. Simulasiemodelering kan vervolgens gebruik word om die impak van die prosesverbeteringe op kliënte-ervaring te meet. Hierdie artikel beoog om die verbeterde-kliënte-ervaring-raamwerk gedeeltelik te valideer deur die toepassing daarvan op empiriese data, verkry uit die telekommunikasie industrie.
