Abstract Objective To evaluate mindfulness-based intervention for hypertension with depression and/or anxiety. Methods 10-week mindfulness-based intervention, including health education for hypertension, exclusively for the control group, was administered to the intervention group to assist sixty hypertension patients with depression/anxiety. Among them, the intervention group comprised 8 men and 22 women, with a mean age of 60.02 years and a mean duration of hypertension of 6.29 years. The control group consisted of 14 men and 16 women with a mean age of 57.68 years and a mean duration of hypertension of 6.32 years. The severity of depressive and/or anxiety symptoms was assessed using the 9-item Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) and the 7-item Generalized Anxiety Disorder scale (GAD-7), along with blood pressure (BP) measurements taken twice daily. The study utilized a self-made self-efficacy scale and awareness of physical and mental health to evaluate mental health and state. Results The depression PHQ-9 or GAD-7 scores reduced by 21.1% or 17.8% in the mindfulness-based intervention group, compared to the control (Z = -2.040, P = 0.041) post 10-week period, suggesting significant reduction in anxiety/stress. These results were consistent with a reduction in systolic BP of 12.24 mm Hg (t = 6.041, P = 0.000). As a representative of the fourth-generation light sources, the High Energy Photon Source (HEPS) in Beijing, China, utilizes a multi-bend achromat lattice to obtain an approximately 100 times emittance reduction compared with third-generation light sources. New technologies bring new challenges to operate the storage ring. In order to meet the beam commissioning requirements of HEPS, a new framework for the development of high-level applications (HLAs) has been created. The key part of the new framework is a dual-layer physical module to facilitate the seamless fusion of physical simulation models with the real machine, allowing for fast switching between different simulation models to accommodate the various simulation scenarios. As a framework designed for development of physical applications, all variables are based on physical quantities. This allows physicists to analytically assess measurement parameters and optimize machine parameters in a more intuitive manner. To enhance both extensibility and adaptability, a modular design strategy is utilized, partitioning the entire framework into discrete modules in alignment with the requirements of HLA development. This strategy not only facilitates the independent development of each module but also minimizes inter-module coupling, thereby simplifying the maintenance and expansion of the entire framework. To simplify the development complexity, the design of the new framework is implemented using Python and is called Python-based Accelerator Physics Application Set (Pyapas). Taking advantage of Python's flexibility and robust library support, we are able to develop and iterate quickly, while also allowing for seamless integration with other scientific computing applications. HLAs for both the HEPS linac and booster have been successfully developed. During the beam commissioning process at the linac, Pyapas's ease of use and reliability have significantly reduced the time required for the beam commissioning operators. As a development framework for HLA designed for the new-generation light sources, Pyapas has the versatility to be employed with HEPS, as well as with other comparable light sources, due to its adaptability.

The world’s first 1.3 GHz cryomodule containing eight 9-cell superconducting radio-frequency (rf) cavities treated by medium-temperature furnace baking (mid-T bake) was developed at the Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The 9-cell cavities in the cryomodule achieved an unprecedented high average intrinsic quality factor (Q_{0}) of 3.8×10^{10} at 16 MV/m and 3.6×10^{10} at 21 MV/m in the horizontal test. The cryomodule can operate stably up to a total continuous wave rf voltage greater than 193 MV, with an average cavity usable accelerating gradient of more than 23 MV/m. The results significantly exceed the specifications of Circular Electron Positron Collider and Dalian advanced light source and the other high repetition rate free electron laser facilities [Linac Coherent Light Source II (LCLS-II), LCLS-II-high energy, Shanghai High Repetition Rate X-ray FEL and Extreme Light Facility, Shenzhen Superconducting Soft X-Ray Free Electron Laser, etc.]. There is evidence that the mid-T bake cavity may not require fast cooldown or long processing time in the cryomodule. This paper reviews the cryomodule performance and discusses some important issues in cryomodule assembly and testing.

The urban settlement intention of the floating population and its influencing factors have received widespread attention, but there is less literature on the relationship between human capital, life satisfaction, and the urban settlement intention of the floating population. Employing 2146 questionnaire data from the Pearl River Delta’s floating population, this study establishes measurement indicators for human capital and life satisfaction, constructs a structural equation model, and examines the influence of human capital on life satisfaction, as well as their collective impact on the floating population’s urban settlement intentions. The findings reveal that human capital influences multiple facets of the floating population’s life satisfaction, which subsequently shapes its desire to settle. Considering individual life satisfaction, the economic well-being and social security contentment of the floating population exert a notable impact on its urban settlement intentions, whereas satisfaction with emotional life and public service facilities appears to have a less pronounced effect. Further investigation into how varying levels of human capital modulate the influence of life satisfaction on urban settlement intentions, alongside the transition from fundamental economic security to psychological needs (about life satisfaction), holds substantial referential value for research on population migration and the development of citizenship policies in China.

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of acupuncture in relieving diabetic neuropathic pain and to establish a more reliable and efficient foundation for acupuncture practice in diabetes care. Methods: The Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang database, Chongqing Weipu, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library were all searched for a randomized controlled trial research of acupuncture for DNP. Two researchers independently performed literature screening, quality evaluation, and data extraction. After selecting studies and extracting data, we conducted the data analysis using RevMan 5.4 and Stata 14.0. The quality was assessed using the Cochrane Risk of Bias Assessment Tool. IntroductionHypertension, one of the most common chronic diseases worldwide, usually requires lifetime managing blood pressure (BP) with medications. Due to quite large number of hypertension patients co-exist with depression and/or anxiety, and non-cooperated with medical instruction, consequently management of BP is impaired with serious complications, resulting in compromised quality of life. Consequently quality of life of such patients is impaired with serious complications. Therefore, management of depression and/or anxiety is equally important as the treatment of hypertension. Depression and/or anxiety are independent risk factors of hypertension, which is supported by the finding that there is close correlation between hypertension are depression/or anxiety. Psychotherapy (non-drug treatment) maybe useful for hypertensive patients with depression and/or anxiety to improve their negative emotions. We aim to quantify the effective of psychological therapies in the management of hypertension patients with depression or anxiety, by comparing and ranking a network meta-analysis (NMA).Materials and methodsLiterature search for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) will be performed in five electronic databases from inception to December 2021, including PubMed, the Cochrane library, Embase, Web of Science, and China Biology Medicine disc (CBM). The search terms mainly include "hypertension", "mindfulness-based stress reduction" (MBSR), "cognitive behavioral therapy" (CBT) and "dialectical behavior therapy" (DBT). Cochrane Collaboration quality assessment tool will be used for the risk of bias assessment. A Bayesian network meta-analysis will be performed, using WinBUGS 1.4.3, and Stata 14 will be applied to draw the network diagram, while RevMan 5.3.5 will be used to produce funnel plot for assessing the risk of publication bias. Recommended rating, development and grade methodology will also be utilized to assess the quality of evidence.ResultsEffect of MBSR, CBT and DBT will be evaluated by traditional meta-analysis directly and Bayesian network meta-analysis indirectly. Our study will provide the evidence on the efficacy and safety of psychological treatments in the hypertension patients with anxiety. There is no research ethical requirement because this is a systematic review of published literature. The results of this study will be published in a peer-reviewed journal.Trial registrationProspero registration number: CRD42021248566.

Carotenoid metabolism is critical for diverse physiological processes. The nematode Caenorhabditis elegans has two genes that are annotated as β-carotene 15,15′-monooxygenase (BCMO) and are 17 centimorgan apart on chromosome II, but the function of BCMO-1 and BCMO-2 remains uncharacterized. Sequence homology indicates that the two enzymes belong to the carotenoid cleavage dioxygenase family that share a seven-bladed β-propeller fold with a nonheme iron center. Here we determined crystal structures of BCMO-1 and BCMO-2 at resolutions of 1.8 and 1.9 Å, respectively. Structural analysis reveals that BCMO-1 and BCMO-2 are strikingly similar to each other. We also characterized their β-carotene cleavage activity, but the results suggest that they may not act as β-carotene 15,15′-oxygenases.

To determine the epidemiology of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in a remote region of China, far from Wuhan, we analyzed the epidemiology of COVID-19 in Gansu Province. From January 23 through February 3, 2020, a total of 35 (64.8%) of 54 reported cases were imported from COVID-19–epidemic areas. Characteristics that differed significantly during the first and second waves of illness in Gansu Province were mean patient age, occupation, having visited epidemic areas, and mode of transportation. Time from infection to illness onset for family clusters was shorter in Gansu Province than in Wuhan, consistent with shortened durations from onset to first medical visit or hospitalization. Spatial distribution pattern analysis indicated hot spots and spatial outliers in Gansu Province. As a result of adequate interventions, transmission of the COVID-19 virus in Gansu Province is decreasing.

Objective: To determine the relationship between the health literacy of patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) and the accessibility of internet surfing for information concerning DM.Methods: A multistage stratified sampling method was utilized to conduct a questionnaire survey on DM health literacy and internet accessibility among 1,563 patients with DM in Gansu Province in 2020. Logistic regression was performed to analyze the factors that influence health literacy and internet accessibility; while the chi-square test was used to compare the differences in needs.Results: Among 1,563 valid questionnaires collected with an effective rate of 95.7%, there were 65.4, 66.3, or 51.1% of patients with DM were found to have good health knowledge, attitudes, or practice levels, respectively. Occupation, income, disease course of DM, and accessibility to the internet were the main factors influencing health literacy. Age, residency, occupation, education, income, and family history of DM were the factors influencing accessibility to internet surfing for DM. The expectations from patients with DM for the capacity to obtain DM information from traditional sources or through internet sources was 1,465 (93.7%) or 1,145 (73.3%), respectively. Patients with DM had a 2-fold higher desire to obtain DM health information from internet media if the patients had access to the internet than those without (P < 0.05).Conclusions: The socioeconomic status and access to the internet were the main contributing factors for health literacy, as socioeconomic status is closely related to access to the internet.

166.6-MHz superconducting cavities have been chosen for the High Energy Photon Source (HEPS) as the main accelerating structures to provide 900 kW of beam power and 5.4 MV of accelerating voltage. A proof-of-principle cavity adopting the quarter-wave beta = 1 geometry was previously developed. Excellent performance was achieved in vertical tests at cryogenic temperatures. The cavity was later welded with a helium jacket, dressed with a power coupler and other ancillaries, and high-power tested in a test cryomodule. Performance degradation was observed and analyzed. Evidence from temperature sensor readout and heat loss measurement results suggested an overheating in the cavity–coupler interface region causing a “thermal runaway” and eventually quenching the cavity at its design voltage. Electromagnetic-fluid-thermal coupled simulation has thus been conducted, and the hypothesis was nicely validated. Finally, solutions were proposed including an elongated niobium extension tube at the coupler port and an optimized helium gas cooling of the power coupler’s outer conductor. These modifications have been subsequently applied on the 166.6-MHz higher-order-mode damped superconducting cavities for the HEPS. Heat loss at 4.2 K contributed by the power coupler can be largely reduced with a modest gas cooling scheme. Similar design approaches can also be applied to other non-elliptical superconducting structures with on-cavity high-power coupler mountings.

Medium-temperature (mid-T) furnace baking was conducted at 650 MHz superconducting radio-frequency (SRF) cavity for circular electron positron collider (CEPC), which enhanced the cavity unloaded quality factor (Q0) significantly. In the vertical test (2.0 K), Q0 of 650 MHz cavity reached 6.4 × 1010 at 30 MV/m, which is remarkably high at this unexplored frequency. Additionally, the cavity quenched at 31.2 MV/m finally. There was no anti-Q-slope behavior after mid-T furnace baking, which is characteristic of 1.3 GHz cavities. The microwave surface resistance (RS) was also studied, which indicated both very low Bardeen–Cooper–Schrieffer (BCS) and residual resistance. The recipe of cavity process in this paper is simplified and easy to duplicate, which may benefit the SRF community.

This paper studies packet multicast technology in cognitive radio ad hoc networks (CRAHNs) by using a random network coding (RNC)-based approach. We first specify the key problem of packet multicast applications in CRAHNs, called multichannel single-hop wireless multicast problem (MCSHWMP), then present the definition of MCSHWMP of its four-element tuple model. Next, we propose a framework for the network coding-based scheme in packet multicast applications of CRAHNs and provide several candidate schemes based on the framework. The proposed schemes have several desirable features: 1) necessary packet transmissions are reduced greatly by exploiting the broadcast nature of wireless transmissions by using RNC; 2) each packet transmission is tried to maximize the packet reception gain of the receivers by considering opportunistic accessibility of wireless channels and heterogeneous packet reception success ratio of different wireless channels; and 3) packet size to be transmitted is effectively shortened by reducing decoding information to be transmitted in the packet. Simulation results show that NC-based schemes decrease packet transmissions significantly comparing with non-NC-based schemes. The advantage of NC-based schemes is more distinctive when packet reception success ratio of wireless links are near but smaller than 1, and in these cases around 50% of packet transmissions could be saved.

A circular electron positron collider (CEPC) will adopt hundreds of 650-MHz superconducting cavities with high quality factor (Q) and accelerating gradient (Eacc). Two 650-MHz single-cell cavities made of fine-grain niobium were first treated via buffered chemical polishing (BCP), which was easy and convenient. However, the vertical test results could not meet the specification of the CEPC (4 × 1010 at 22 MV/m). Therefore, electro-polishing (EP) of 650-MHz single-cell cavities was conducted, which was complicated but remarkably effective. Both 650-MHz single-cell cavities achieved state-of-the-art gradients of 35 MV/m after the EP process, which is extremely high for large elliptical cavities (frequency < 1 GHz). One cavity achieved an intrinsic quality factor (Q0) of 4.5 × 1010 at 22.0 MV/m, which was higher than the CEPC spec. The other cavity obtained a lower Q0 of 3.4 × 1010 at 22.0 MV/m, which may have resulted from the cancellation of high-temperature annealing.

Tissue engineering (TE) has been proven usefulness in cartilage defect repair. For effective cartilage repair, the structural orientation of the cartilage scaffold should mimic that of native articular cartilage, as this orientation is closely linked to cartilage mechanical functions. Using thermal-induced phase separation (TIPS) technology, we have fabricated an oriented cartilage extracellular matrix (ECM)-derived scaffold with a Young's modulus value 3 times higher than that of a random scaffold. In this study, we test the effectiveness of bone mesenchymal stem cell (BMSC)-scaffold constructs (cell-oriented and random) in repairing full-thickness articular cartilage defects in rabbits. While histological and immunohistochemical analyses revealed efficient cartilage regeneration and cartilaginous matrix secretion at 6 and 12 weeks after transplantation in both groups, the biochemical properties (levels of DNA, GAG, and collagen) and biomechanical values in the oriented scaffold group were higher than that in random group at early time points after implantation. While these differences were not evident at 24 weeks, the biochemical and biomechanical properties of the regenerated cartilage in the oriented scaffold-BMSC construct group were similar to that of native cartilage. These results demonstrate that an oriented scaffold, in combination with differentiated BMSCs can successfully repair full-thickness articular cartilage defects in rabbits, and produce cartilage enhanced biomechanical properties.

With the widespread cultivation of transgenic crops, there is increasing concern about unintended effects of these crops on soil environmental quality. In this study, we used the Biolog method and ELISA to evaluate the possible effects of OsrHSA transgenic rice on soil microbial utilization of carbon substrates under field conditions. There were no significant differences in average well-color development (AWCD) values, Shannon–Wiener diversity index (H), Simpson dominance indices (D) and Shannon–Wiener evenness indices (E) of microbial communities in rhizosphere soils at eight samplings between OsrHSA transgenic rice and its non-transgenic counterpart. The main carbon sources utilized by soil microbes were carbohydrates, carboxylic acids, amino acids and polymers. The types, capacities and patterns of carbon source utilization by microbial communities in rhizosphere soils were similar throughout the detection period. We detected no OsrHSA protein in the roots of OsrHSA transgenic rice. We concluded that OsrHSA transgenic rice and the rHSA protein it produced did not alter the functional diversity of microbial communities in the rhizosphere.

Objective To evaluate the value of pediatric asthma risk score （PARS） and asthma predictive index （API） in predicting the risk of asthma in children with recurrent wheezing, aiming to provide sufficient evidence for accurate prediction of pediatric asthma. Methods Clinical data of 100 children with recurrent wheezing, aged 1 to 3 years old, were collected. PARS and API were assessed. The incidence of asthma was observed during follow-up. The prediction efficiency of PARS, API or two combined was statistically compared. Results The sensitivity and specificity of PARS in predicting asthma in children with recurrent wheezing were 54.55% and 86.52%, and the area under the receiver operating curve （AUC） was calculated as 0.744 （95%CI 0.578-0.909）, 72.73%, 52.81% and 0.628 for API （95%CI 0.460-0.796）, and 81.82%, 44.94% and 0.634 for PARS combined with API （95%CI 0.474-0.794）, respectively. The AUC of PARS was slightly higher compared with those of API and two combined, whereas no statistical significance was found among these three groups （both P > 0.05）. Conclusions PARS and API have clinical value in predicting the risk of asthma in children with recurrent wheezing.

The traditional air defense and anti-missile operation effectiveness evaluation is restricted to the physical dimension. Under the view of multi-dimensional battlespace, this paper establishes a multi-dimensional operation effectiveness evaluation model based on the four stages of perception, cognition, decision-making and action of joint air defense and anti-missile. The effectiveness of joint air defense and anti-missile operation is evaluated from two aspects: the elements and system of joint air defense and anti-missile operation, that is, the comprehensive evaluation is carried out through the six dimensional spatial elements of surface-to-air dimension, vertical dimension, network-electricity dimension, information system dimension, decision knowledge dimension and strategy decision dimension. According to the actual operational situation of the joint air defense and anti-missile operation, weights of three group indexes are established, and the overall effectiveness of the joint air defense and anti-missile operation is evaluated through grey correlation analysis, then the simulation experiments and countermeasures are analyzed.
