The medical and surgical condition of mother during pregnancy can be affected on prenatal morbidity and mortality. Physician must have knowledge about the effects of pregnancy on the course of disease as well as the effects of disease on outcome of pregnancy and treatment of disease during pregnancy. Hypertension is one of the common difficulties and complications during pregnancy, which leads to hospitalization. Blood pressure disorders occur in approximately 10% of pregnancies in the United States, and it accounts for 12.3% of maternal deaths. Hypertension in pregnancy is an important alarm that carries risks for both the mother and the fetus. In some cases, these complications can be life-threatening risks for both. For example, preeclampsia ranks among the top four leading causes of maternal mortality, when it is diagnosed and treated correctly it is possible to prevent adverse consequences. There are different types of high blood pressure in pregnancy that can be related to pregnancy or not related to pregnancy, and the diagnosis and management of each of them are different from each other. The purpose of this study was to provide a brief overview of definitions, diagnostic methods, risk factors, symptoms, side effects, drug and non-drug treatments, and prevention of various types of hypertension during pregnancy based on the latest American Obstetrics and Gynecology Guidelines and the latest edition of Beckman and Ling's Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Background: Infertility is an individual and social problem that affects people’s life quality and has been addressed in several scientific fields. Nevertheless, the psychosocial needs of infertile couples during the medical treatment process are discussed to a lesser degree. This study aimed to investigate the efficacy of cognitive-behavioral therapy on depression in infertile women referring to the infertility clinic of Birjand University of Medical Sciences. Methods: This quasi-experimental study with a equivalent control group pretest-posttest design was conducted to evaluate the effects of a CBT for 50 women with infertility. The sample consisted of infertile women referring to the university clinic in 2019. The subjects were randomly assigned to control and experimental groups. Beck Depression Inventory was used for data collection. The cognitive-behavioral intervention was conducted during 10 sessions. Data were analyzed in SPSS -19 using statistical tests such as t-test and repeated measures ANOVA. Results: In this study, the mean age of women in the experimental group was 28±4.1 years and 28.04±3.64 years in the control group. The Venous thromboembolism (VTE), including venous thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism(PE) and one of the causes of death during the pregnancy. During the pregnancy, Multiple changes to the mother's coagulation system lead to high coagulation. The results have shown that approximately 1 in every 200-500 women during the pregnancy with venous thromboembolism and 30% in those with pulmonary embolism. During the third trimester of pregnancy, and especially during the first two weeks after childbirth, the risk of (VTE) increases in women. The risk of VTE after pregnancy is 5 times higher than that of the during pregnancy. Also, Pregnancy alone is a risk factor for VTE, And, besides, some women have a high risk of developing the VTE. The most important risk factors for VTE during pregnancy include the previous history of VTE, acquired thrombophilia, history of previous VTE due to major surgery, Medical problems (including cancer, heart disease, etc.), hereditary thrombophilia are high risk (Table 1). Due to numerous clinical conditions and also the risks of an embryo and mother seeking anticoagulant therapy, management during pregnancy should be taken into consideration. Therefore, according to the latest instructions from the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, it was decided to design the software in order to prevent the occurrence of VTE.
