Abstract

Thermal behavior of latex films dried under different conditions was studied by scanning probe microscopy. Heating-by-the-sample and heating-by-the-probe methods were used to study thermal properties and these two approaches allowed choosing the direction of the temperature gradient which plays an important role in evaporation from the bulk versus surface or migration.
