Abstract

Five new stilbene oligomers, laetevirenol A-E, are isolated from Parthenocissus laetevirens, together with three known stilbene oligomers and the structures of these new compounds are studied by spectroscopic analysis. The results have shown that stilbene oligomers with an unusual phenanthrene moiety have displayed much stronger antioxidant activities.
