Abstract

A simple melt impregnation method is presented by using cheap masophase pitches as carbon precursors to prepare ordered mesoporous carbon with ordered graphitisized pore walls at low temperature. The method could be applied to the hard-templating synthesis of graphitisized carbon nanostructures and other doped carbon nanoparticles.
